Hi! I got an idea for a story. I just finished watching all of John Wick movies and i really wanted to write about it. This story will be a crossover with avengers. I will try to make it as interesting as I can.
Alina was a baby that wasn’t supposed to be born. She wasn’t planed an accident. The girl was a child born to Natasha Romanoff before the red room sterilised her. (For the sake of the story let’s say she was 18-20)
For a mission she needed to sleep with a man named John Wick. It was a surprise to her that she was with child. She despite all the hardships was happy about the child. After the birth of Alina Natasha changed. She needed to take care of the baby and train and as a result she blamed her child for her hard life.
On the day when she escaped the red room she tracked down John Wick and dropped off the girl on his doorstep on a rainy night. She was 3 years old at that time.
“You will meet a man he is your father, knock on the door and hand him the letter I gave you do you understand” Natasha said those words coldly.
Alina didn’t understand why her mother is leaving her but she knew she didn’t have the right to ask and the only thing she did was give a simple nod. As soon as the girl did the mother walked to her car and drove away.
The child was confused, scared and anxious. Alina turned around and knocked on the door softly wondering if someone will come. The girl heard the lock of the door unlock and the door was opened.
There stood a tall man giving her a questioning look. She was scared. Remembering her mother’s words she quickly put out the letter for him to take. The man took the letter.
“Come inside” He told the child seeing her trembling from the cold. Alina did as he told and stood in the little corner by the door as if not to disturb him.
John sat on the ground legs crossed as he unfolded the letter and started reading it.
The letter told him about the girl being his daughter, about the night when they met. It didn’t say anything as to why the child is here.
John sighted before standing up and going to the girl before he crouched down to her height.
“So you’re my daughter huh?” Ha said before placing his hand on her head patting it.
“What’s your name?” He asked the girl gently trying to not to scare her too much.
“I’m Alina… just Alina” The girl said quietly. John picked up the girl holding her as if she was glass.
“From today you will be Alina Jovonovich Wick” He said.
“Two last names?” Alina asked curiously.
“Yeah” John answered with a little smile on his face.
———————————————————————
So this is kind of like a prologue. If people will like it I might continue it. Please tell me your opinion on this.😊

Lay’ra demonstrated different techniques of how to breathe. She helped them, going to each individually. The girl was strict but kind hearted and soft. Lay’ra knew the felling of leaving home. She knew how hard it is to adapt to different environment. The girl tried to make them understand how the breathing works. Lay’ra saw how Kiri learned faster than any of her siblings. She saw that Kiri like her had some kind of connection to Eywa.
The day flew by quickly the lesson ended and it was time to go home. The kids stood up and Tuk grabbed Lay’ra’s hand.
“Tuk?” Lay’ra asked the smaller girl.
“Can you come and have dinner with us?” The girl was caught off guard. She looked at Tsireya and Ao’nung who didn’t seem pleased by the request.
“What? Why?” Lay’ra was confused, why did the smaller girl make such a request.
“We want to get to know you! Tsireya and Ao’nung can come too!” Tuk shouted happily.
“I will ask our mother Tuk, I can’t promise anything” Lay’ra answered calmly even tho there was a storm of emotions inside of her.
“Tsireya, Ao’nung come let’s go home” The girl said sternly, she gently shook off Turk’s hand and started walking to their family marui. Ao’nung and Tsireya trailing behind her.
When they entered the marui Lay’ra immediately went to her father’s side, resting her head on his shoulder while she hugged his arm. Tonowari not knowing what happened turned to Tsireya.
“What happened?” He asked, worry evident on his face.
“Tuk, the little girl from the sully family asked us to join them for dinner…” Tsireya answered her father nervously.
Tonowari’s expression hardened. Right at that moment Ronal walked in to the marui. She looked at her husband’s expression and then her children’s.
Lay’ra couldn’t hold back tears. She didn’t know why after so many years she still felt hurt by Jake’s and Neytiri’s actions.
Her mother upon seeing that her oldest daughter was crying quickly skipped to her side. Ronal pulled the girl from her father’s side and rested the girl’s head on her chest. Stroking Lay’ra’s head to calm her down. The girl snuggled to her mother’s side. Tears flowing down her face.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know why I’m feeling hurt. I have you and father and my two amazing siblings but deep inside I feel hurt” Lay’ra told her mother who continued to comfort her.
“It’s okay my daughter, we are here for you if you need us”
An hour passed, in that hour her siblings told their mother the reason why their older sister was crying. After a while Lay’ra stopped crying, only soft sniffing was heard.
“Do you want to go my daughter?” Tonowari asked the girl who gave a small nod.
“I want to go because I want to get to know Tuk, she was a baby when I left and I… I just… will you come with me? All of you?” She asked rising her head from her mother’s chest.
“If you want us to come with you we will” Ronal pushed some of Lay’ra’s hair behind her ear.
“Go and tell the sully children that we will come” Ronal said looking at Ao’nung who in response nodded and left the marui to tell the sully family the news.
When he came back the family started to get ready. Lay’ra put on the earring that her grandmother gave her when she left home. The earring had feathers on it. In her other ear she put a similar earring, except this one had shells instead of feathers. Her mother made it when she first became an official clan member.
After getting ready the family of five decided that it was time that they started moving.
They stepped out Of their marui and started walking to the sully family’s home.
Lay’ra held her father’s hand. Her mother was walking in front of her and her siblings behind.
The closer she got to the sully home the more anxious she got. Lay’ra squeezed her father’s hand, she was scared, she didn’t know why. Tonowari noticed his oldest daughter’s anxiousness and squeezed his hand gently as if to reassure her that it’s okay and that he’s here if she needs him.
Finally the family reached the sully home. Ronal knocked on the frame of the entrance getting the attention of both the adults and children. As soon as Tuk turned her head and saw Lay’ra she ran to the taller girl hugging her torso.
Lay’ra smiled, let go of her father’s hand and gently pulled Tuk away before kneeling down and embracing the smaller girl.
“You are here!” Tuk squealed in excitement.
“Yes I’m here” Lay’ra said pulling away.
“Hey” Lo’ak and Neteyam said looking at Lay’ra.
“Hello!” The girl replied happily.
“You made it” Kiri said walking to Lay’ra offering her hand. Lay’ra accepted the hand and Kiri pulled the older girl from the ground.
“Of course” She smiled at Kiri.
Neytiri and Jake looked at the kids. The felling of guilt inside of them was unbearable. Every time they saw the girl they were reminded of the past mistakes that were done. Despite this they put on their smiles and walked to the metkayina family welcoming them in to their home.
Tonowari and Ronal looked at their children happily chatting before finally coming in and siting on the ground around the food that was put on leaves. Both families sat down. Lay’ra was between her parents, Tsireya on her father’s side and Ao’nung on his mother’s.
“We made this meal acording to omaticaya clan traditions we hope that you will enjoy” Neytiri said to the Metkayina family.
According to tradition the clan leaders are the first to taste the meal then the rest can enjoy it too. (Don’t know if that’s true but oh well)
Ronal and Tonowari took their leaves and tasted the meal and the rest followed after. Lay’ra to tasted her meal. She stoped, eyes wide as memories of her previous home flashed in her memory. Her eyes wide when she remembered how her grandmother used to make the same meal for her. It smelled and tasted the same.
Lay’ra smiled and took another bite. Her parents looked at their daughter with smiles. She didn’t seem tense or scared but happy.
After a while everyone finished eating their meals. The sully kids took all three metkayina siblings to talk about their life’s and differences between metkayina and omaticaya while four of the adults talked about village affairs.
Tuk was talking about how she and her siblings would go to the forest and jump between the tree branches. Tsireya was explaining metkayina people’s traditions. Tuk ran up to Lay’ra and started looking at her earrings.
“I like your earrings” She said that caught the attention of all of the kids.
“Really?” Lay’ra asked smiling as she touched her ears.
“The one with the feathers is from my grandmother. She gave me this earring as a parting gift. The one with the shell is a gift from my mother for becoming an official member of the metkayina clan” Lay’ra said proudly, smiling at the sully siblings.
“That’s so cool!” Tuk said.
“I also bonded with a tulkun, as a gift my father made me a head piece that is home right now” Lay’ra’s tail started to sway on the ground.
“Lay’ra, Tsireya, Ao’nung come now it’s time for us to go” The siblings heads turned to their father’s voice. The tree of them stood up and went to their parent’s sides.
“Thank you for your hospitality, the meal was delicious” Lay’ra said to Neytiri and Jake.
Before going outside she waved goodbye to the sully siblings.
The family came home and Lay’ra was first to plop down to her sleeping mat.
“I’m going to sleep” She said tiredly.
Her mother sighed softly and layed next to her daughter. Ronal knew it was exhausting for her daughter as much as being near the sully adults. She wrapped an arm around her daughter pulling the girl to her chest. Lay’ra in return wrapped her arms around her mother.
“Good night” Was all she said before the tiredness took over.

Part 4
Chosen|pt3
Lay’ra sat in the sand, the Sully couple did the same. They crossed their legs and Lay’ra instructed them to breathe deeply.
“No, no you are doing it wrong!” She smacked Jake’s chest. The girl was frustrated. They couldn’t do the simple exercise that she was showing them.
Jake and Neytiri were sitting on either side of her. So she could see and hear if they were breathing right.
“You have to breathe from here” she said placing her hand on his stomach.
“Not from here” She again placed her hand on his chest.
“The same goes for you to Neytiri” The girl said turning to the woman’s direction.
“You breathe from here” She said placing a hand on Neytiri’s stomach.
She placed a hand on Jake’s stomach and the other hand was placed on Neytiri’s.
“The way of water has no beginning and no end. Our hearts beat in the womb of the world. The sea is your home, before your birth and after your death. The sea gives and the sea takes.” She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, before opening them again.
“That is the way of water that you must learn” Lay’ra looked at the both of them before she stood up.
“We are done for today. We have been practicing for long enough rest” Lay’ra said before turning her back to the couple. Jake and Neytiri quickly got up and started following the girl.
“What is it that you want? We are done for today why follow me?” She asked frowning.
“We want to ask you so many things” Jake said, his voice breaking.
She ignored him and continued walking humming a song.
“Where did you learn this song?” Neytiri asked Lay’ra who huffed in response.
“My mother sang this song for me every time I had a nightmare, she would take me in her arms and cradled me like a baby.” Lay’ra smiled at the memory. Her hands clasped behind her back.
“She took me in, the first time she saw me she showed me nothing but love, warmth and affection” The girl looked up to the sky. And frowned.
“The star that appeared in the sky a year ago… was it the sky people?” Lay’ra asked in a shakily voice.
“Yes” Was all that Jake said. The girl looked down at her feet, her ears flat against her head. Before she turned to face both of them.
“Then why come here? You are Toruk Makto! Why did you run away? You fought the first time why can’t you fight the second?” Lay’ra asked him frustrated.
“We have a family that we want to protect.” Jake said sadly.
“Why? What are you so afraid of? Was it the past that was haunting you that came back?” The girl asked trying to understand the reason for their family coming to her home.
Jake tensed up at the last question and Lay’ra knew that that was it. She straightened her posture and looked at Neytiri’s who looked away.
“Was it the man that you betrayed? The man that Neytiri killed saving you in the firs war?” She clenched her fist.
Jake and Neytiri perked up at the mention of that man.
“I see… if you bring war to my home I will do whatever it takes to throw you out of it” The girl glared at them.
“Sister!” Lay’ra heard a shout coming from the back. When she turned around she saw 3 little girls running to her. Immediately a smile appeared on her face as she crouched down spreading her arms.
“Girls!” She shouted back. She let the girls fall in her arms. The children looked around 8 years old. Jake and Neytiri looked at her confused.
“These girls are my students, I teach these children” she smiled at the girls who got out of her embrace and took her arms.
“Sister come! Tsahik asked us to get you! It’s lunch time! Our mothers too are making food for us to eat in our marui.” The girls shouted happily pulling her forward. Lay’ra stood up from her crouching position letting the children pull her forward.
“Yes I’m coming” Lay’ra said rolling her eyes. Following the children.
Jake and Neytiri watched Lay’ra walk away, guilt was what they felt. They regretted neglecting their first born daughter. They regretted hurting her. They regretted all those things but what can be fixed now? Jake took Neytiri’s hand in his own and squeezed it a little bit to comfort her.
“It’s okay” Jake like Neytiri felt the pain in his heart. He didn’t realise what he did wrong for her to leave. Overtime he realised how cruel he was to his first born daughter, Neytiri to started to realise her mistakes. They were parents to 4 wonderful children and the demons for 1. They couldn’t forgive themselves, Mo’at couldn’t look at them without giving them a glare or a sharp look. Mo’at missed her oldest grandchild. That’s when the parents realised their mistakes.
The Omatikaya couple went to their marui to prepare lunch for their children and themselves.
Meanwhile Lay’ra was dragged across the village by her little students to her family’s marui. She saw her mother and beamed at her. The children let go of the girl and waved goodbye to her, then ran off to their own homes. Lay’ra came inside and her mother immediately stoped what she was doing. Ronal spread her arms for the girl who came to her mother. She sat on her tights and wrapped her legs around her mother’s torso. Her arms hugging the neck of her older woman. Lay’ra nuzzled her head in the crook of Ronal’s neck.
“It was exhausting.” The girl said. Lay’ra heard footsteps coming inside and turned her head to see her father and her siblings.
“What happened my child?” Tonowari asked as he sat next to Ronal. Her siblings following their father’s footsteps sat down on Ronal’s opposite side.
“Nothing” Ronal sensing that her daughter didn’t want to talk about anything that happened sent her husband a look that basically said ‘mind your own business’.
The family sat in a circle ready to eat, the thing was that Lay’ra didn’t let go of her mother, the girl wanted to be held for a while longer before she would have continue with her day. Her family didn’t complain, didn’t say or question it. Ronal picked up some fruits from the leaf that was supposed to be Lay’ra’s and brought the food to the girl’s mouth. The girl accepted the fruit slowly munching on it. When she finished the fruit she was given, her mother offered her another one. And she gladly took it.
It reminded Lay’ra of the days when she first came in to this village. She was a young girl who never experienced a taste of love from a mother or a father. The only source of love she knew was her grandmother and she was back at the Omaticaya clan while the girl was with Metkayina. Lay’ra remembers when she was crying day and night. If not crying sobbing silently. She didn’t eat or drink, at those times Ronal would step in. She would take the girl in to her arms, gently putting the little child on her legs. Ronal would feed the girl small pieces of fruit. That became their thing. The thing that only they would do.
The lunch went by quickly. It was time for the family to return to their duties. Lay’ra slowly stood up. She gave her mother a hug and a kiss on the cheek before going to her father who she also gave a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“Come now Tsireya, Ao’nung we have a lesson with the Sully children.” The girl said to her siblings. Tsireya stood up and went to her older sister’s side. Lay’ra gently took the smaller girls hand in her own before she looked at Ao’nung.
“Are you coming Ao’nung?” Lay’ra said looking at the boy who groaned in annoyance.
“Fine I’m coming” He said before he stood up going to his sister’s side. Lay’ra placed her hand on his forearm before gently squeezing it.
“It’s okay yeah?” She said in a gentle tone.
“Yeah” Ao’nung replied with a nod. Lay’ra gave him a soft smile. She removed her hand from his arm and turned to her parents who were watching the whole thing with a relaxed smiles on their faces. They liked to see their children bond and become closer to each other.
“We will be going” The girl said to her parents who gave a nod in return. The children turned to leave before Tonowari spoke up.
“If you start feeling uncomfortable or bad return back home” He said to his children, mostly to Lay’ra.
The children paused before nodding their heads. Lay’ra understood that it was meant mostly for her. The three siblings continued walking until they reached the Sully marui. Lay’ra saw how they ate their meal laughing and smiling at each other. She felt a bit angry and annoyed but mostly sad.
Yes she found a new home. Yes she had a new clan and yes she finally found a family that loves her cherishes her and adores her, but deep in her heart she still has that hurtful question why wasn’t she enough? What wrongs did she do to be hated by them?
The girl shook her head clering those thoughts away. She pulled her sister behind her still holding her hand, Ao’nung was trailing behind them. Lay’ra knocked on the entrance frame of the marui trying to get the family’s attention which she successfully gained.
“Are your children ready for the breathing lessons?” The girl saw Jake’s and Neytiri’s smiles disappear. The couple gave her a nod. The children excitedly stood up.
“We are ready” Neteyam spoke up. Lo’ak nodded, Tuk and Kiri smiled.
“I’m glad that you are because it won’t be easy now come on let’s go” Lay’ra said smiling at the kids.
She took them to a place where they were surrounded by water. As they sat down Lay’ra spoke again.
“Today we will learn how to breathe, tomorrow we show you how to dive properly” The girl spoke confidently and smiled seeing the excited faces of the Omaticaya children.
“Let’s begin” She smiled.

Part 3
Chosen|pt2
The girl saw her father landing in the water. Lay’ra quickly ran to her father greeting him. When Tonowari saw his daughter running to him he immediately spread his arms waiting to embrace her and the girl didn’t hesitate to fall into her father’s arms.
Once she pulled away she looked in his eyes.
“Toruk Makto and his family are here” Lay’ra spoke waiting for her father to say something. Tonowari looked at his daughter, his expression hardened. He knew what happened to Lay’ra before she arrived at the Awa’atlu village, before she became his daughter.
Tonowari patted the girls head before turning to the direction of the newcomers. He started walking toward the forest na’vi, Lay’ra was trailing behind him. When they reached them Lay’ra went to her brother and sister only hearing the sully family asking for uturu before zoning out. She wondered why they are here.
She snapped out of the daydreaming when she heard a hiss coming from Neytiri who hissed at Ronal and Ronal hissing back at her. Now usually she would ignore anything similar to this because she knows her mother can handle herself, but this time she felt anger bubbling in her stomach. She hurried to her mother’s side hissing at Neytiri. The girl frowned her eyebrows.
“You seek uturu yet you dare to hiss at our tsahik!” Lay’ra spoke loudly. Her mother placed a hand on her shoulder and that’s when she turned to face the woman.
Ronal like Tonowari knew what Toruk Makto did to Lay’ra, that’s one of the reasons she didn’t want to let them stay. Ronal looked at her daughter’s eyes as if asking should they be allowed to stay or go somewhere else. The girl looked at her mother’s eyes with a soft smile nodding her head. Lay’ra didn’t wouldn’t let them stay out of kindness but because of the children, the children were raised in war and she felt sympathy for them. Tonowari and Ronal exchanged looks before Tonowari spoke out loud saying that the newcomers will be allowed to stay.
Lay’ra heard her father saying that they will teach the newcomers, Ao’nung groaned and went to argue with his father who shut him up, Tsireya was welcoming and helped them carry their things while Lay’ra slowly came closer to Jake Sully offering her hand to take something from him. Jake looked at Lay’ra with sadness in his eyes before slowly giving her some of his things. She didn’t say anything just took what he gave and started walking them to a place that will be their new home.
Lay’ra showed them their home putting things in the corner of the marui. Her sister has already walked off and her brother was nowhere to be seen. The girl was helping the kids taking stuff from them and putting it in the same corner. After she was done she huffed and smiled turning to the family.
“Will you be joining us for communal breakfast tomorrow?” Lay’ra asked tilting her head with a smal smile, mostly trying not to look to Jake or Neytiri.
“Can we?” Asked Neteyam.
“Of course you can and I assume you will” The girl said smiling at him, her tail swinging from side to side.
“I will come and get you in the morning” Lay’ra said walking away from the Sully marui to her family’s one. Lay’ra knew that Tsireya and Ao’nung will take care of them today, she doesn’t need to intervene. So with that thought in mind she walked to her home.
When the days end was nearing and her siblings and parents returned Lay’ra tackled all of them in a hug laughing with such a mischievous smile.
The night went by quickly and when morning rolled around Lay’ra knew she had to get up earlier to go grab the Sullys for communal breakfast. She stood up looking at her already awake parents before silently going to both of them hugging them.
“Good morning” She said sweetly.
“Good morning my child” Ronal replied kissing the girls forehead. Lay’ra just giggled quietly.
“Are you ready for today? As a tsakrem you will have to help Jake Sully and his mate with the lessons” Tonowari said to the girl.
A year after accepting Lay’ra as a daughter, Ronal received a vision, the vision showed Lay’ra as a tsakrem so Ronal decided to accept the said girl to become her apprentice. Although Tsireya was already learning to become a tsahik Ronal decided to make Lay’ra her other tsakrem.
The girl nodded at her father’s words.
“I know, even if it’s my duty I do not want to interact with them but I will teach them just like I teach children. They are the same aren’t they? They know nothing of the way of water.” Lay’ra took her father’s hand in her own before gently squeezing it.
“Oh look at the time I told them I will grab them for communal breakfast I must go”Lay’ra said looking at the villagers going out of their marui homes. She lifted her self up from the ground, letting her father’s hand go before running out of her family’s marui.
The girl ran to the Sully family, greeting all of the villagers that she met on the way before she reached her destination.
“Good morning!” Lay’ra burst in to the marui.
“Good morning” Tuk and Kiri replied sleepily.
“Hi” Lo’ak and Neteyam replied in unison.
Lay’ra smiled warmly at the kids, after all she couldn’t be mad at them. The kids did nothing wrong to her, they might not even remember her. But the parents, when she looked at the parents her smile fell along with her ears. Lay’ra looked coldly at the adults in front of her.
“I came to take you to communal breakfast, follow me” She said before turning her back to them. She slowly started walking, letting the kids chatch up to her, Lay’ra saw the parents move behind their kids slowly following her.
The girl guided them to an open space where there was only sand and a bonfire lit. She saw other na’vi and when the villagers saw her they greeted her with an I see you, the girl returned the gesture to the villagers. Lay’ra saw how the villagers formed a circle around the bonfire. Her father and mother with her siblings were up front.
“Come I will show you where to sit” The girl led the family of 6 to the front, so they could talk things out with the leaders of the clan.
After they were seated she quickly and happily walked to her family before plopping to the sand.
“I’m back and I brought the Sully’s like I said” The girl said turning to her mother.
“That’s good” Ronal said patting her daughter’s head. The girl smiled before her father passed her a leaf with fish and fruits on it.
“Thank you” Lay’ra said to her father as she took the leaf from him.
The girl was unaware of the two pair of eyes looking her way but Ronal was. She glared at Jake and Neytiri who quickly returned to their food. Tonowari sensing he’s wife’s change in the air spoke up.
“I will teach you Jake Sully the way of the water, my mate will teach your wife. The breathing will be taught by our daughter Lay’ra”
The adults ears perked up at hearing the information. Eyes looking between all 3 of them.
“Your children will be taught by my daughter Tsireya and son Ao’nung, Lay’ra will help them if they struggle” Tonowari continued his speech.
“Yes father” The three siblings said in unison.
After Lay’ra was done with breakfast she turned to her father.
“I will go to pick up some shells from the ocean for my new headpiece I’m making. After your done with Jake Sully I will come to take him for the breathing lessons” Them Lay’ra turned to her mother.
“The same goes for Neytiri. I will come to take her for the breathing lessons” The girl said before her mother placed a hand on her cheek and Lay’ra leaned into her mother’s hand.
The girl stood up and walked away to the sea humming a song that Ronal had sung her when she had nightmares about the times before she came here. Lay’ra called her ilu. Gently making tsaheylu, she got on the creature’s back before diving in to the water.
When she was deep enough she broke the bond as gently as when she made it before swimming to pick up the shells. Lay’ra swam picking all the colourful shells putting them in a pouch she had, when she had enough she swam up to the surface calling for her ilu who immediately came to her. When Lay’ra reached the land she saw her father who was walking alongside Jake Sully.
“Father!” The girl shouted waving her hand before she got off of her ilu and ran to her father.
“Is Jake Sully done with his lesson with you?” Lay’ra asked smiling at her father. Tonowari nodded in response.
“That’s great, that means mother must be done with Neytiri?” The girl asked again.
“Yes they should be done by now” Her father answered. Tonowari didn’t want to let his daughter be alone with the ones that hurt her but as a tsakrem she had to fulfil her duties.
Lay’ra turned to Jake her smile disappeared, her ears fell, she held a cold expression and her tail stopped swaying in excitement.
“Then Jake Sully come with me we will go to your mate” She turned around, not before waving her father goodbye, and started walking. Jake followed behind her not saying anything.
When they reached their destination they saw Ronal trying to teach Neytiri to ride an ilu. Neytiri was unsuccessful.
“Mother!” The girl shouted stepping into the water. The water reached her tights, her tail was swaying in the water again from excitement of seeing her mother.
The girls mother turned attention from Neytiri and when she saw her daughter her hard expression turned to a soft one.
“We are done here!” Ronal shouted to Neytiri before swimming to the girl on her ilu. As soon as she was close to the girl she broke the bond with the creature and went to her daughter’s side. She hugged her daughter and cupped her daughter head kissing her forehead.
“Did you find any shells that you like?” Ronal asked Lay’ra who nodded her head reaching for the pouch she had strapped on to her hip.
“Look aren’t they pretty?” The girl asked the mother. The mother gave a nod in response. Neytiri swam to her husband side. She was tired, couldn’t tame an ilu, she couldn’t adjust to this new environment.
“I will take both of them from here” Lay’ra said to her mother. Ronal looked at her daughter in sadness. Even if the girl looked like a forest na’vi with a tail of the metkayina she was still her daughter. And she despised the idea of her teaching someone who had hurt her in the past. The mother turned to the Omaticaya couple glaring daggers at them before looking to her daughter gently embracing her.
“Good luck my child” Ronal whispered in her ear before pulling away. She gave her daughter one last smile before she walked past her, Ronal needed to return to her tsahik duties.
Lay’ra didn’t talk to them and started walking. The couple got the point and followed her. She took them to a place that was peaceful and nothing other than water’s rustling could be heard.
“Today I will teach you how to breathe” The girl said turning around to face them.
“But we are already breathing” Jake said confused.
“Not from here” Lay’ra said placing her hand on her chest.
“From here” She placed a hand on her stomach.
“If you want to live her you have to act like us. That includes breathing like us, swimming like us, moving like us.” She said sternly.
“You have thin arms your tails are thin you will be slow in water, that’s why you have to work harder” Lay’ra said circling around them.
“But you to have thin arms” Jake said without thinking.
“And I have a tail that gave me oh so many attention back where you came from!” She hissed at him.
“Don’t expect me to be a soft teacher. I won’t help you if you don’t want to learn so watch carefully and listen closely to what I say” Lay’ra said before siting near the water.
“Come sit the lesson will start now”

Part 2
Chosen|pt1
Lay’ra was Jake’s and Neytiri’s first born daughter. But they didn’t love her no… they viewed her as an alien. Yes she had three fingers and a thumb, no eyebrows or anything, she didn’t inherit her father’s sky people genes, she looked like a normal na’vi except for her tail. Her tail was not slim like her mother’s or father’s. Her tail was thick like the one of metkayina. That was the reason for her becoming an outcast of her clan. They avoided her at all cost. A year after her birth her younger brother was born they named him Neteyam. After Neteyam there was Kiri then Lo’ak and the last was Tuktirey or Tuk as they called her.
Neytiri made a songcord for all of her children, meanwhile she forgot to do her oldest daughter’s songcord. Ley’ras grandmother Mo’at helped Ley’ra to make her own songcord from her birth to her connection to the tree of souls, to her siblings birth (a drop of blood in amber).
When Tuk was born Lay’ra didn’t have any bad intentions, she only wanted to hold her baby sister. She was old enough now that she was 9 years old. She wanted to hold her baby sister but Neytiri just hissed at her calling her every filthy name on Pandora to not touch her pure child. Every one from Neteyam(8) to Kiri and Lo’ak(7) got to hold Tuk but Lay’ra was the only one not to do it.
Neytiri hissed and shouted at the girl to get out of their home, like something snapped in her, Jake grabbed his daughters queue pulling her away from Neytiri who was still shouting at the scared girl until the girls grandmother came, slapped her fathers arms from her queue and took her away.
Mo’at was the only one to see her granddaughter for not the demon everyone called her but for a little skilled and curious girl. She was the only one that tough her anything eventually accepting her as her tsakrem. She saw how she bonded with the wild life and animals, small and big. She saw how the girl stumbled upon an ikran and asked it to be her friend. She saw the same ikran bonding with her granddaughter making tsaheylu without the roars of the animal or any resistance.
Mo’at took Lay’ra out of her family’s tent helping her granddaughter pack her stuff. She herself decided to send Lay’ra away to help her find happiness that her granddaughter oh so longed for.
After packing she hurriedly walked to her granddaughter’s ikran, in one hand a cloth full of Lay’ras things in other her granddaughter’s hand. Mo’at helped her granddaughter get up on her ikran patting her head and stroking her cheeks as she gave her the songcord. Her grandmother had already put a bead of amber with a drop of Tuktirey’s blood, to resemble that her sibling was born and she became a sister once again. Lay’ra stared at her songcord now having four of these kind of beads before looking at her grandmother.
“Grandmother… where should I go?” She asked scared and shock mixed on her face from not knowing what to do.
“Eywa will guide you, let the wind take you to a place that you could call home” Mo’at answered gently as not to worry her granddaughter further.
Mo’at kissed her granddaughter’s forehead, taking her small hand in her bigger one. She placed an earring in the little girls hand and earring that was made from the feathers and beads that her grandmother collected. The granddaughter looked at her grandmother one more time before launching herself at Mo’at and hugging her tightly, letting nothing but a few tears roll down her cheeks before she had to pull away.
“Grandmother, it is time for me to go” Lay’ra said looking into her grandmothers eyes, the same golden eyes they shared.
“Go, go and never come back, never come back here, find your own happiness, now go!” Her grandmother waved her hands in the air as if pushing her away when the only thing she wanted was for her to hug her granddaughter.
Lay’ra flew away taking one last glance at her home, the forest she was born at before patting her Ikrans side and turning to look forward.
10 hours she flew on her ikran, with no food only water. 10 hours she flew until she reached the Awa’atlu village. The village where the reef people lived. As soon as Lay’ra was in sight of the villagers she heard a horn blowing. She landed in the sand and jumped off of her ikran, gently breaking tsaheylu and patting her Ikrans head.
Lay’ra saw as the villagers of metkayina crowded her. She felt scared. The villagers looked at her tail mostly, wandering how a forest na’vi got a tail of the metkayina.
A minute passed before Lay’ra heard a woman’s voice telling the villagers to part and make way for her. Lay’ra looked at the beautiful woman, she was the tsahik of the metkayina Ronal. Lay’ra bowed and brought her fingers to her forehead lowered them.
“Oel ngati kameie” Lay’ra said to the woman who stayed silent, not returning the gesture only circling around the girl inspecting her. Finally Ronal stoped behind Lay’ra looking at her tail in curiosity before she crouched down and touched the girls tail.
Lay’ra startled by the touch flinched a little and turned to look at Ronal with a worried look on her face. She didn’t know what the other woman was thinking.
“I came to seek uturu” Lay’ra said lowering her eyes to the ground. Ronal just looked at the girl before placing her hand on the girl’s cheek.
“You have come far, stay” Ronal said her voice soft. The girl looked at Ronal before leaning in her hand as a few tears slipped down her cheeks, even if she was strong, she was just a child.
Ronal brought the girl in to her embrace and hugged her as the girl sobbed into the Tsahik’s neck. Ronal picked up the little nine year old girl and started walking to her home.
“We will let you stay” Ronal talked softly in to the girls ear. Lay’ra who never felt the warmth of a mother hugged Ronal tighter muttering “sorry” over and over again.
After Ronal brought Lay’ra to her home two little feet were heard running to her. And then a man’s voice broke the silence.
“Ronal who is that that you have with you?” Lay’ra immediately recognised the man, he was Tonowari the chef of the metkayina. Lay’ra felt overwhelmed and scared so she looked at Ronal with her racing heart trying to figure out what to do or what to say.
“It’s okay, don’t worry little girl” Ronal said to Lay’ra patting her back before she turned to her mate.
“This child was seeking uturu, I agreed, she will be staying with us” Ronal explained to Tonowari. Children were staring at the girl in wonder and curiosity, Tonowari slowly approached Ronal looking at the girl.
“Hello little girl, do you have a name?” Tonowari asked softly to which she relaxed.
“My name is Lay’ra te Suli Neytiri'ite” Lay’ra said quietly looking at Ronal’s children in wonder.
“Aren’t you Jake Sully daughter?” Tonowari asked only to be met with the watery eyes of the girl.
“No” Was all that Lay’ra managed to say before tears started to fall down her face. Ronal seeing what was happening crouched down so her children were able to see the girl. The two children looked at the girl curiously before slowly coming to their mother’s side inspecting the girl like their mother did a few moments ago. Lay’ra was still sobbing until she felt a little hand on her forearm patting her, it was a little boy and then she felt another hand on her shoulder which belonged to the little girl. Lay’ra wasn’t crying now. She looked at the children trying to figure out what they wanted until the girl spoke.
“I’m Tsireya and that’s my brother Ao’nung” Tsireya said softly.
”Im Lay’ra” Lay’ra replied softly as she looked at the children. Before looking at Ronal who was still holding her. Tisreya and Ao’nung looked at their mother.
“Mama can we play with Lay’ra?” Ronal head turned to Lay’ra nodding her head to her children.
“Lay’ra do you want to play with our children?” She asked the little girl which in return gave her a nod. Wiping her tears away she got out of the arms of Ronal who was still crouching and slowly walked to Tsireya and Ao’nung.
Ronal watch as the children started to play. Lay’ra smiling small smiles. Then she turned to her mate Tonowari before she stood up from her crouching position and spoke up.
“She’s going to stay with us”
“Why?” Tonowari asked her softly.
“I felt a pull to her when I first saw her, it was as if Eywa was telling me to take care of that little girl” Ronal said matching his soft tone as she watched the children playing together.
Lay’ra sensing that the adults were talking about her stopped and looked at them, Tonowari seeing this only smiled at the girl. Lay’ra returned her attention to the siblings who ran to her side. Lay’ra was taller than Ao’nung and Tsireya so she patted their heads with a smile on her face.
A month had passed since Lay’ra arrived at the Awa’atlu village. The girl picked up on sign language pretty quickly, she enjoyed learning. Ronal taught the girl about the clan and their way of life.
Lay’ra experienced what it was like to be wanted, to be seen. She clung to Ronal or Tonowari, played with Tsireya or Ao’nung. She started to warm up to other people. The people didn’t question her appearance, didn’t ask why she looked like a forest na’vi but had reef people tail, didn’t call her a demon or made her an outcast, Lay’ra felt like she belonged here. She felt happy.
Years passed and Lay’ra turned 16, Ao’nung was 15 and Tsireya 13. In that time Ronal and Tonowari decided to take the girl as their own, adopt her. Now Ronal was her mother Tonowari her father and Tsireya and Ao’nung were her siblings. Ronal helped the girl add the beads to her songcord, from the day she had to leave the forest, to the day she became one of the people, being the youngest to pass her Iknimaya at the age of 14 where she got her own skimwing. She brought shells that symbolised Lay’ras adoption into the family.
Everything was perfect, peaceful… until one day she heard the horn blowing. Looking at the sky she saw five ikran’s flying in to her village. Lay’ra was in the water swimming with her sister on their ilu.
She looked at her sister who was already looking at her, both of them nodded at each other and swam closer to the land.
When they reached the land both of them emerged from the water fixing their hair. Lay’ra saw darker blue colours amongst the lighter ones. Looking closer she recognised them as a forest na’vi with their slim hands and tails. She looked at the children firstly going around them slowly while Tsireya slapped Ao’nung on the arm to stop him from making fun of the newcomers. Looking at the children Lay’ra saw two boys and two girls. Going from what looked like the oldest to the youngest. It’s when she saw the parents that she stopped. She recognised them. She recognised the ones that gave her pain and suffering, she recognised Toruk Makto and his mate.
When Jake saw Lay’ra he looked at her as if he had seen a ghost. Neytiri turned a little bit paler in the realisation of who was standing in front of her. She exchanged glances with her husband before turning to Lay’ra, opening her mouth to say something she was interrupted with a skimwing flying above their heads. Lay’ra looked relieved at the one who was on the skimwing.
“Father!” The girl shouted with a relieved smile.
