Do you write anymore?
For batman currrently no. I go through moods where I write for a year or so on batfamily then take a break for awhile, like years between. To give you an idea i am 27  and been doing this off and on since 22. Also depends how much DC is pissing me off with writing their characters.
Writing normal yes, I do write away from Tumblr. I have actually written a few novels of my own ideas. They like to hang out on my computer to never see the light of day cause yeah. Mostly cause just don’t have time to edit them. I keep saying one day i will put them on Wattpad or that. No idea if that’ll happen.

He Didn’t Want To
Publishing this one on my birthday so @the-shadow-of-atlantis cannot complain today. So enjoy this angst while I pout over here on my downward slide getting closer to 30.
Dick never wanted to be a big brother at first, often making young Jason feel as if he didn’t belong. If he was being true, it had more to do with Bruce and not Jason. He had regretted how he was to Jason after the young kid died. He tried his best to make it up with Tim. Even now as they were older he tried to be that big brother he wasn’t before.
Dick never wanted to be the Batman. But when they thought Bruce had died, he had no option. Gotham needed a Batman like a plant needed the sun. He never wanted to live in Bruce’s shadow, instead going to make his own legacy in another town. To grow into his own person away from the cowl. Yet in the end here he was, living the future he never wanted.
Dick never wanted to be a guardian so young. He was dealing with his own grief and now trying to keep this family together. He didn’t know the first thing on raising a child, much less one with so much anger. Damian and him struggled. So many times he felt he was failing the kid. He blamed himself every time Robin got hurt because Damian was his Robin and his responsibility. It wasn’t long though before they found their rhythm and truly became a team.
Dick never wanted another family after his parents died. He was young and hurting more than anyone could realize. Soon though he found a family with a bat and his butler. Then it became a family with many siblings, Bruce, and Alfred. He remembers how nervous Bruce was when he gave Dick those adoption papers as a young adult. Never wanting to replace his parents. Dick shook his head knowing he was lucky to have two loving families in his life.
And today as Dick sat in the back of the warehouse pressing down on one bullet  wound, he knew he was going to do the one thing he truly never wanted to do. He was going to hurt his family in  the worst way possible. For while the blood slowed down in one bullet wound, the one in his chest bleed more. The blood loss starting to hit harder as he heard his family calling over him in the commns. He did the one thing Bruce taught them never to do, he turned his comm off and cut off communication. They were too far away and he knew he didn’t have enough time.
He couldn’t let them hear him as he fought his final battle against himself.  It was an ambushed that he walked into, nothing could have saved him. He knew though it was better behind the crates versus seeing the pain in their face. He saw it once back when he died for a few moments. He never wanted to see it again from Bruce. Maybe part of it was him chickening out to avoid their faces as this time he couldn’t fix their pain.
He swallowed and took a deep breath. Some part of him laugh at himself. He would finally get to see his parents again, but this time he didn’t want to. He wanted to stay with his bat crazy family. His little brothers didn’t deserve to lose their big brother. Who would watch out for them? Run interference with the big bad bat? Bruce? He knew how he became after Jason died and then Damian. How would he cope with Dick, the one who has been there the longest. Alfred, would this be the thing that finally cause the old man to leave? He threaten to before if one more died.
Slowing his vision went black and he found himself losing any fight left in himself. He was trying to fight it, fight for his family. To be there long with them, but this time he just couldn’t. As he drifted off for the last time, it was them he thought about. It was then his mind went one last time to an old conversation with Bruce during his Robin days as the last that was left in him gave out.
Hey, Batman, what're we gonna do once we finally get rid of all the criminals and everything? Move to another city?
I don't think that's something you# have to worry about,
Okay,so, then we'll just stay in Gotham and keep doing this, right? Forever and ever? We'll do this as long as it's effective. And feasible.
Right. Like I said. Forever...

What Once Was
You knew with your life, it was bound to happen, but somehow a small part of you that was the young person in love couldn’t believe. At the other end of your gun stood Robin. But you knew that man the mask hid. You knew that body that you had made love to many times to that summer after high school. That face expression that most would see as stone, you saw the hurt even with the mask. For once upon a time Damian was your everything, back before life caught up to.
“Y/N” Damian said, he voice letting the hurt seep through as only you and him were in the office to hear.
“Please leave.” You said, but the normal power behind the voice that scared many was gone. For a second you weren’t the leader of Gotham’s feared mob, but rather 18 again afraid to be hurt.
“I cannot” He said while reaching for the Glock in your hand. He slow movements giving you enough time to pistol whip him. Knowing it couldn’t hurt him as much physically as you were currently doing emotionally to him.
You took his moment of surprise to grab the bag and run. You had a mission you had to finish. And part of you knew if you stayed, it would get worse. For he was the one person who could pull you from the fire you life became.
A few of your guys ran past you towards Robin as you got out of the office. You screamed get him loud enough for Robin to hear. They weren’t as good as he was, but they could slow him down. Part of you knew though you need him to lose any trust in you. To never let his guard down again. To fully believe the girl he once loved was gone.

The rest of the night went smoothly on your end. Your top guards and you escarped with the money and the dealer’s got their arms shipment. The ones who were taken by the bats didn’t know enough to cause problems. You knew though this had set off alarms and you were finally on the bats radar. It was the youngest birds watch that you were truly more concern with.
It only took a matter of weeks before it happened. You were in the shit hole you claimed as home in the Narrows. The beat up couch your currently napping spot when you heard knocking on the door. No one came here, only a few knew you lived here. you grabbed the gun from your side table and went towards the door.
Standing on the other side was Damian. A black hoodie pulled up to hide his face. You dropped one hand from the gun and opened the door, making sure to let him see it was there. You didn’t know on what business he came on. Once upon a time you could tell what he would do, but now you both were nothing but strangers.
“Why are you here?” You hissed out, using your most stone cold voice possible. Trying to hide the rapid heart beat and nervousness you felt.
“To talk” He echoed back in similar tone voice.
“As Robin to get answers or as Damian.” You said. Thoughts of you two playing chess in the manor where you both were gridlock crossed your mind. It would take hours then to finish a game, how long now would it take?
“As someone who never receive a explanation that was promise 6 years ago.”
The few feelings that somehow survived years in the mob broke upon that answer. You never could give him those answers years ago. Leaving him waiting at the park for someone who never planned to show, too much of a chicken.
You directed him towards the small kitchen while you put the gun on the counter for him to see. Proof if he could see the gun, you wouldn’t use it. You grabbed a bottle and dusted off two glasses, offering him one. He took it, though you knew it was more to be polite. You though, had every intention of drinking a glass or two to give you strength. 24 or 18, you still were too scared to face him.
“What are you doing?” He asked.
“Following the family business.”
“I thought you said the family business was in shipping, or that’s what I was told back then.” He sneered.
“I am sure since the warehouse and now you know better.’ You said, gesturing for him to continue. You could hide your tracks for years, but your family name was known around the streets.
“I know the last name you used during school was fake. Your father got you in because he sold drugs to some higher ups who had pull in Gotham. I know that they are involved in drugs and arms dealing in Gotham and have been for years. Your parents died a little over a year ago and your brother and you came back to Gotham to take their place as head of the mob. Before that you and him ran an a second operation out of Bludhaven. One Nightwing followed for years but could never track who was running it. I know you have a list of charges and I should put you in jail.” He finally said.
“Then what is stopping you now.” You asked.
“A chance for you to explain yourself. Tell me the truth, if anything you ever told me was the truth.” He bit back.
You took a swing of the drink while looking at him. Truly looking at him for the first time. He had more muscles and was taller, but those eyes you use to make smile were haunted. No doubt your doing. The two of you stayed there just looking. Him no doubt taking you in. Seeing the bullet holes and scares that proved the work you did over the years. The innocent glow gone, replaced by a harsh heart that hadn’t known happiness in years.
Finally after what felt like a lifetime, you spoke.
“I asked to go to Gotham  Academy back` then. I knew college was never an option I would get, so I took a chance for some education. My name was changed for my safety. Those four years and summer afterwards was my one shot at living a normal life, so I took it, You never met my parents, but they never knew about you. I was scared, scared they would use that against me. I was only family to them if I choose to join the family business. Those nights I stayed at the manor, I did because I didn’t want to go home to crime.”
You paused and took a deep breath while going to sit on the paint chipped stool. Minus your brother, no one knew the whole truth. Your parents never knew about Damian and you never told the truth about home life.
“I was normal. At home I was helping launder money and deal with people coming to collect. With you, I was a high schooler doing homework and worrying about what was happening next weekend. Not if my parents get caught or killed. They found out though I was seeing someone towards the end of summer. They wanted to kill you, afraid you might know too much. My brother thought talked them down. Explained you were some street kid and didn’t know the truth. He was the one to suggest the off shoot in other city. We brought the Mob money in so my parents didn’t care. He use to fight with them when he thought I wasn’t around. He wanted me out of the business before I got in too deep and couldn’t leave.
“And now he runs it with you.” He said shortly.
“There’s not a day he doesn’t cruse my parents for what they did to us. Even if I walked away then, a target was painted on my back. Now, now I have too much blood on my hands it is stained for good. I am in too deep to ever leave. Only by death will I escape.”
“You don’t know that’s true.” Damian said while standing up towards you. You flinched, afraid once in his arms it would be done.
“I know Damian. I’ve killed in cold blood. The bats and police aren’t the only ones after me. Name a rivalry gang and they probably will pay you to take me out. I am beyond saving.” You said with a sadness that could be heard. A fate you never until now said out loud.
“Why didn’t you tell me then?” He asked.
You looked into those emerald eyes that once held so much loved and realized in the first time since that last summer together, you could still cry.
“Because Damian, as scared as I was for what my future held, I cared too much about you. I couldn’t let anyone hurt you because they knew my family.” You said with silent tears coming down you face. “Dami” you said, a name you hadn’t said in ages. “I loved you, that was never a lie. I could live with myself doing a lot of things, but I could never live with you being hurt because of me.
He went to hold you, but again you moved.
“You need to leave, someone is coming and I don’t want you hurt. Please go.” You said as you walked to the door. You turned around to face him once more. “I will make you this promise, your secret is safe with me I won’t tell the gang. But know if we do met again, I cannot promise not to fight you.”
With that he nodded, not as an agreement but to acknowledge what you said. He then turned to leave. As he walked down the stars you felt your heart break. Being shot or stabbed never hurt as bad as what you felt. But as before, you never had time to heal as your phone lit up, reminding you of your duties tonight. Reminding you why the man you loved and still love deserved a lot better than you. Gotham’s underworld was calling and you needed to respond.

New Years Day
Based on the song New Years Day by Taylor Swift
There's glitter on the floor after the party
Girls carrying their shoes down in the lobby Candle wax and Polaroids on the hardwood floor You and me from the night before, but
Maybe it was the affects from the wine still or the friends you hadn’t in awhile but you couldn’t help the grin on your face. A true happy smile that often hadn’t found a place on your face in many months. But this, the crazy night with Titans you hadn’t seen in a while was almost like perfect poetry. The old bringing in the new with people who had been there always. You caught yourself giving that grin to Nightwing like you two were ten again.  Don't read the last page But I stay when you're lost, and I'm scared And you're turning away I want your midnights But I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day You two thought to throw the party so you two were the ones cleaning up. You couldn’t complain, you miss talking to him. Both pulled away to respect cities and duties. It was crazy once upon a time how close you two were. But you knew how hero life worked, often called away for months to a mission.
As you got older, you suddenly understand the adults more. The drifting away was easy when life got busy. The promises to always be there for each other was easy when you were young and in love. IT was easy when you saw each other all the time, leaning on each other for support. A quick phone call or text. But as you got older the message happened less. Text went unread between work and family.
You always feared that one day he would be nothing but a former friend, yet this was a story you didn’t want to read the end. Tonight with all your friends close and this morning as you two talked among clean up, you could almost pretend. Just for a moment that nothing had changed.
You squeeze my hand three times in the back of the taxi I can tell that it's gonna be a long road I'll be there if you're the toast of the town, babe Or if you strike out and you're crawling home
It was crazy the life you two had growing up. The drama between family and the life in the lime light among capes and tabloid's. But as the two of you went home that morning after the party, some part of you flashed back. Him giving you a gentle reminder that he was always going to be there. A childish part of you thought that it really could be. The greatest love story up against the odds, after all isn’t that what you two use to say? Before you just became friends to now distant friends.   Don't read the last page But I stay when it's hard, or it's wrong Or we're making mistakes I want your midnights But I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day
Life was the biggest enemy you couldn’t fight, even together. Growing up in different life as he took on Batman mantle and raised a Robin while you joined your family in the science field hanging the cape up more nights than not. What you won’t give to have nights among the roof top and kissing under the stars.  Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you And I will hold on to you Please don't ever become a stranger Whose laugh I could recognize anywhere Please don't ever become a stranger Whose laugh I could recognize anywhere
As you left that night, you knew it wouldn’t change the path you two were both on. Maybe it helped though from drifting completely apart. Maybe it would help you two talk a bit more than just birthdays and holidays. Maybe it would keep him from being someone you only talked to when you heard his beautiful laugh across the room. Just maybe, just maybe you two paths might drift closer to each other once again.

Idk if you've done this but how about a what if, Bruce and Selina did get married? HCs
Bring up old broken hearts why dont yeah. But I did enjoy writing this.
- first off, his kids were actually at the wedding.
- it was a slow move in, I don't think it would truly be much change.
- Do the kids make jokes about her being their mom (minus Damian) yep. All the time because it annoys her.
- Though Damian did see this as the perfect way to bring more cats in.
- Selena totally helped him because why not. Besides it drives Bruce nuts that there are cats everywhere.
- She doesn't change her name though, keeps it as Kyle.
- All the sweet domestic moments.
- Really just them together finally.
- Sweet moments after patrol while they talk before going to bed.

Bruce's Brucie persona worked great until he has kids. He cannot keep the persona up when he is having reprimand kids or find which tiny child snuck under a table. When he is at a student teacher conference he cannot be Brucie, he is usually more focused on kids. Like how can he be Brucie during an interview when he is trying to make sure Damian and Tim don't say something to embarrass him. How can he be Brucie when another kid is trying to get booze at a gala underage?
Kids though are kind of happy that persona died.

Request in regards to DC live action or movies
So I have gotten a few request asking to do fics or headcannons based off of the live action movies or tv series. The thing is I don’t really watch TV or movies, so can’t really do them. (Seriously only seen one Dark Knight movie and couldn’t even sit through that). I have seen some of Young Justice, though most of what I write for it is based on the comics. So when sending in request, know they will be based off comics. I will continue to not do anything that was watched on a screen.

Answers I’m still waiting for from DC
Aka reasons I am never going to be allowed in DC headquarters cause I would bitch to every writer.
(all pre-reboot of New 52 and Rebrith)
- What ever happened to Stephanie’s baby? Like did she grow up happy and did she ever know about her mom?
- Why did you all kill Lian? Like yeah she comes back in Convergence but that was a low blow
- Give me back Mia Dearden (forever bitter)
- Nice brotherly moments between Connor and Jon cause you can have two Superboys DC. You had like five different robins so it’ll be okay.
- Why couldn’t you let Kate Kane be happy and marry Maggie Sawyer.
- Damian should have his own team with kids his age. Before someone decide to reboot everything, there were kids of his age.
- Like Colin Wilkes. C’mon those two and Jon Kent could’ve had great adventures.
- Selina and Bruce. Like don’t get me excited and leave me hanging. Promise on something you can’t deliver why don’t ya. If I wanted that I would go to a bar to find a one-night stand. I’ve been shipping them since I was young and I’m old now, so like enough with the back and forth.
- Do you let the new people come up with villain names sometimes? Like Crazy Quilt, Blue Snowman, Condiment King,  Onomatopoeia, and Kite Man? And if this is a job, can I have it please?
- I want to know if DC writers can keep all the universes straight. If so draw me a map please.
- Can we get more Duke Thomas as a smart kid growing up in Gotham
- Also can I just get a series on what an average citizen’s day is like in Gotham
- Still never got a good enough answer as to why one would cancel Teen Titans and Justice League.
- I’m slightly disappointed that there is no amusement park ride where you ride through the batcave.
-  The whole 1968 Wonder Woman/secret agent thingy. Who thought of that really? (Bless the 50 cent comic bend when I found that one)
- Why push aside a whole generation of super heroes that were coming into their own like Wally, Kyle Rayner, Connor Hawke, and a whole lot more. Nope just push them aside or reboot. One time heard them referred to as lost generation.
- Also reboot all you want DC but my butt is still going to the 50 cent comic book bend I know and will read old stuff. Mainly cause I have no patience to wait a week to see what happens.
