A Thousand fingers
A thousand fingers pointing at me,
Putting me on a pedestal of shame and disgust.
Their eyes are cold and frozen with assumptions,
And the truth is far away from them, unreachable!
A thousand questions being asked,
No end to this interrogation,
To prove whether my pain is real or not.
Treachery and trickery to put the blame on me,
For what I have no control over,
Blatantly finding faults in me,
For being an honest flower.
Showing my true colours to the world,
If this makes me unacceptable, an outcast,
Then; I humbly accept my defeat,
I will not fight back with those thousand fingers,
Let them continue to point at me.

The rainy clouds over my brain doesn鈥檛 seem to stop pouring
Water floods in every nook cranny and corner
Everything comes to a stand still and there鈥檚 an eerie quietness
Pour less water to the clouds I say
Let me enjoy the sunshine someday
Writing this poem inspired me to make the illustration
My mind comes to a stand still when the words I want to speak don't seem to come out and it feels like water pouring everywhere inside my brain

If I could make a potion out of courage
I鈥檒l carry the liquid courage with me wherever I go
Where my heart takes me, to places and dream away till eternity
The potion will give me the strength to overcome the stories I learned about myself
From peers and teachers who didn鈥檛 have the liquid courage to speak kind words over me
But spoke words of unkindness and unnecessary
