The said lover followed, sitting up as well.

They gazed onto one another.

Dan Feng squeezes your hands and nodded.

"I'm afraid we won't see each other again."

"Don't be. The universe and the aeons will always be pulling strings up there in celestia and above. It is bound to happen, Dan Feng."

"What if we cut the strings?"

You shook your head.

"My heart belongs here in Xianzhou."

"Please, Y/n, come with me my beloved."

You again, shook your head.

"You should go, Dan Feng, theres only a few minutes left before your escape."

He removed his hands from yours as he stood up and offered it again, You took it with no hesitation and stood up in front of him.

He intertwines your fingers with his, as he raises your arms in which both of your fingers are intertwined, he grabs your waist and pulls you closer to him. He took a shaky breath before he finally closed the gap between you two, as the gentle wind shields the both of you.

You pull away with a cloudy vision as your timer dings.

You look at him with a glare as your eyes read; 'run away, do not look back'

He does what you will be happy with.

He ran away, carrying his sin.

He ran away, knowing that your loyalty to him will not falter.

He ran away, as you stayed.

You stayed, with a will to fight for him.

Sorry I've been gone for a while; I didn't know what to write,I was doing my school work and I was procrastinating on writing 😭

Kafka entered your room without a knock.

"Took you long enough" You glance up at Kafka from your phone, as expected, she just hummed at your words.

You turned off your phone while your hands reached for something into your pocket making a slight glass sound, this has now piqued her interest.

Grasping tightly at the item onto your hands (you wanted to make sure that it was not seen) you put your phone into your pocket and you look up at Kafka– who has one eyebrow raised.

"So" you exhaled before speaking up once more, "I've made you a little something"

"Oh?"

"It's not much but it's the thought that counts"

You shrugged your shoulders as She smiles at you and extended her hand with her lips curved up.

"Are you just gonna sit there while I look like a mannequin here or are you gonna keep that 'little something' until I use my spirit whisper on you?"

She asks you with a sarcastic tone while she propped her free hand onto her hips.

You looked away for a split second and stared right back at her, now you stood up, extended your hands and opened your fists to reveal a pearl beaded bracelet.

"Ah, this is magnificent~"

She grabs the bracelet from your palms as she examines it before putting it on her wrist, turning her wrist every now and then due to amusement.

"Why not a necklace?"

"I fear that it's easier to grab if you're running away"

"You're implying that as if I wouldn't take it off on my mission"

"Give it back then" you say to her, your expression showing one that's annoyed.

"Nope~" She answers with a smile before turning around to walk out of your room.

"Thanks, star~"

She murmured before finally closing the door.

It took you a lot of time to make that bracelet just because it kept falling, at least she accepted it.

Welt closes his eyes in relaxation as you play with his hair; carefully undoing any tangled hair, gently and slowly massaging his scalp and running your fingers through his hair. You can tell he enjoys your actions as he is on the brink of falling asleep. Although don't do this in public, he claims he still has a reputation to keep.

Sampo:

After a long day of selling (or bribing) stuff to people, he sits down beside you and mumbles "can you play with my hair?" You chuckle at him and nodded your head as he rests his head onto your shoulders. You ruffle his hair before brushing your fingers through his hair, before he fell asleep, he whispered "remind me of your reward, m'kay?"

Luocha:

"Y/n?" Luocha calls out for you from the bathroom, you make your way upstairs and knocked on the bathroom door, "come in" he yells out softly, as you go inside, you see Luocha smiling at you with the shampoo bottle on his left hand while pointing at his hair with his right hand. You make your way inside, closing the door behind you and then sitting on the chair next to the bathtub. You grab the shampoo from his grasp and poured some into your hands as you gently brush his hair with your hands. "Tell me if it hurts" you say to him as you detangle the ends of his hair, he nodded at you and hummed.

Jing Yuan:

He sat on the floor in front of you as you sat in his chair, carefully undoing his updo hairstyle and pulling out the brush from your bag that you had brought, you brush his hair starting from the end and making your way to the top. Soon, you felt his body getting heavier so you gently led the back of his head onto your lap as he finally dozed off to sleep.

Dan Heng:

He went inside your room as you were laying down on your bed– watching something on your phone, you looked up and sent a smile to his way, he looks away from you as he mumbled with a low voice "Can you help me put wax on my hair?" You stood up from your bed, "sure. Sit here" you point at your chair and he gladly obeyed your words. With him now sitting still at your chair and you gently waxing some of his hair that stood up, he only wishes that most of your days are as leisurely as this one is now.

Gepard:

He sat beside you on the couch with his back facing you– he sighs from relaxation as you gently dry his hair with a towel from his sweat after patrolling and defending the city of Belebog. Occasionally rubbing the towel on his hair (roughly) as he laughs and of course you pat his hair gently with the towel too.

Caelus:

He snores loudly on your bed as you sit on his back, gently combing his hair and trying not to tug on too harshly at the tangled parts of his hair, afraid to disturb his peaceful slumber.

Blade:

Both of you sat in front of each other, he stares intently at you as you gently brush and play with his bangs. "Don't complain if it feels dry" he says to you, you paused for a moment before blinking a few times at him and continuing what you were doing, "okay."

A/n:

School literally started and i got separated from my friends 🧍

Some of the details here are canon events lol

It was the start of another year, of course you have no problem in making friends at all! (Very real) It's just that you have social anxiety and that makes it hard for you to flow along your own path– you always need your closest friends beside you, but you got separated from them and got placed into a classroom in which students knew each other, making you and three? Maybe four? Other students feel like an outsider.

Your teacher for the first lesson was absent, your substitute teacher allowed everyone to do as they please as long as no one goes out without permission.

You noticed two peculiar pairs of friends– one blonde and one green haired, the lalala and the other ok ok ok, the story teller and the other stuborn listener.

Of course it was the same friends you compared to your mind, they just seem fit any friendship tropes.

'Lucky them' you thought to yourself

Although you knew six people from the classroom, you guys were never close due these reasons;

1. Awkwardness

2. Social anxiety

3. Just no

You reached over your small bag which contained: one notebook, your pencilcase, an umbrella and a book you're recently reading.

Of course you grabbed the book!

You opened the page where you stuck a bookmark in, an special bookmark infact– your friend made it for you!

Opening the page and straightening your back at the chair, you went into your reading mode, which means shutting off anyone and anything around you.

A green haired boy noticed you in the middle of his rambling.

"Hey, Tsukki."

The blonde furrowed his eyebrows as he paused the thing that he was doing, "What's the problem, Yamaguchi?"

"Look at the other side, second row at the front"

Tsukki looks from where his friend was pointing at, "what about them? They're just reading? Tsk."

"No, something feels off" Yamaguchi scooted closer to Tsukki.

"Move away, please."

"Like they want to be noticed but are also avoiding everyone."

"What the hell does that mean?"

"Like– ugh, forget it."

"No."

Yamaguchi looks at his friend, "no?"

"Tell me, idiot."

"Ah, i don't know, it's like– they won't draw attention to themselves unless needed to."

Tsukki sighs as he steals a glance from you, "probably someone who has social problems" tsukki shrugged his shoulders and adjusted his glasses "what do you wanna do about them, Yamaguchi?"

"Watch me!"

Yamaguchi stands up from his chair beside tsukki and walked gently and calmly onto your way.

At the end page of the book, you grab the bookmark and put it in the page you we're reading and closed the book.

"Hi! Is there any problem?" You say as you look up the boy who approached you

He stiffens.

"My name's Tadashi Yamaguchi, are you new here?"

You nod your head at his words, gosh his voice is so calming and gentle yet with a tone of cheerfulness

A blonde soon then followed

"Tsukishima Kei, now speak up" he says as he looks at you with a slight glare

"My name's L/N F/N" You say with a slight smile, while picking at your fingers and bouncing your leg up and down

Ah, Tsukki knew it. He knew that you have social problems.

"Do you wanna sit with us later? At lunch."

Yamaguchi looks at his friend, putting up a front to hide his bewilderment

You nod at his words, "Do you mind, Tadashi?"

Yamaguchi shakes his head, "No, no! It's fine!"

Tsukki smiles at you while he grabs his friend's hand, "we'll be over there if you need anything, good morning and thank you for the time"

You smile at him one last time before he drags his friend along with him while whispering, "I saw their body language and analyzed their voice, seems like they don't like anyone being all friendly with them unless they have the same energy or are very close with them." He looks at Yamaguchi "You guys seem to click."

Your favorite thing, though? Your partner, Oikawa who's dressed up nicely and who's face is plastered with nervousness.

Oikawa stood up from his spot on the couch with a bouquet of your favorite flowers, "Ask your questions, lovely."

"Where were you?"

"Crouching down next to the counter hoping you wouldn't investigate there." he said while chuckling.

"The cake? The flowers?" You say as you walk up to him still in a daze about his efforts.

"I drove by this small shop that customizes bento cakes, and the flowers? Somewhere nearby that I forgot" He says with a calm demeanor this time.

CW: Contains spoilers from 1.2 story quest. Mentions of marriage, grooming (fic is not in that direction, I swear.), marking + reader is hinted to be immortal.

Dan Heng crosses his arms, his expression a mixture of pensiveness and a little of embarrassment as you revel in his form, one that you have yet to see ever since you got together with him.

“So…can you change back at will?”

“Even I’m not sure, it took quite a lot to get me to this form. I wouldn’t dare to go through that again.”

Dan Heng indulges your curiosity as he lets you touch his translucent horns and pointy ears. He watches you gush excitedly about his dragon tail that manifested out of nowhere and allows you to run your hands slowly on its length.

“What will happen if you reach 700 years old?”

“I will simply turn back into an egg to start my self-reincarnation.”

“Then I will wait for you to hatch so I can have a baby Dan Heng!”

“A-ah…” Dan Heng’s ears turn red at your statement.

He doesn’t hate it, but he hasn’t really thought it through. It’s mostly because 700 years isn’t anytime soon. He just reached maturity after leaving the world as Dan Feng, but he finds it quite endearing that you are willing to be with him during his molting and rebirth process.

“And after that?” He asks quietly, looking away.

“That’s tricky. Will I be called a groomer if I stay with you until you reach maturity again?”

Dan Heng laughs, something that he rarely does around others. You feel a sense of pride at how he can just let loose like this around you.

“Your mind is interesting,” He says as he caresses your cheek gently. “The Vidyadhara are very much independent so we don’t need anyone else looking out for us except for the current elder.”

You watch as his tail moves to wrap around your waist and bring you closer to him.

“But let’s say that I get reborn next to you, you don’t have to worry. I could care less about others and what they would think. We retain some important memories from our previous incarnation, so you don’t have to worry about me forgetting you. I’m certain about one thing though, it’s that I will love you in any form and incarnation from now on.”

Dan Heng tightens his tail around you on instinct when he feels you getting weak.

“Wow, Imbibitor Lunae. I love this form. You’re much more romantic than plain Dan Heng.”

“Plain…Dan Heng?” He blinks and chuckles at your words.

You tackle him into an embrace and his tail recoils behind him so it doesn’t get in the way when he returns the hug.

“Does the Vidyadhara have a wedding ceremony?”

“It’s not common since we’re lone by nature, yet it’s not unheard of either. There are those from the Vidyadhara that marry before their next molt.”

“Good, because I can’t wait to marry your every incarnation!”

Dan Heng breaks into a smile against your neck. The dragon in him rejoices that he has found his mate that he couldn’t help but gently nibble on your skin to mark you. You whine at the sensation and he immediately plants a soft kiss in apology.

“Sorry. I know you’re mine, but dragons can get territorial.”

“Maybe plain Dan Heng is better.” You teased but you only end up squealing when you feel that he starts marking another spot on your neck.

>> You always found it weird that Daichi would go out around midnight or almost midnight, I'm talking about 10, 11 or 12PM and then come back an hour and a half later. God you hate yourself for falling into his trap when he assures you saying, "It's required for me to patrol around the area" or "you know I'm a police officer, babe" and due to your sincere love for him, you always did understand his responsibilities.

Although you can't help but notice that every time he comes back, he smells and looks.. fresh? Like he had just taken a shower and re-used his clothes.

Maybe he did take a shower with a girl he was giving an after care for. Maybe he was patrolling the area of his girl's apartment. But you can't do anything, you don't have enough evidence.

Sugawara:

You're so easy to distract that you missed the kiss mark on his temple and his neck.

>> After Danheng and March have accompanied the trailblazer on their first trailblazing mission, March went back into the express, dragging you out in Belebog by the hands with her camera out. You had to calm her down while Dan Heng had to apologize to you on what he says "behalf of March's behavior" you tell him it's no worries and it's not a big deal. March yet again, drags you away from Danheng and leads you into a nearby park while she took her selfies there (and some pictures of you alone and with the both of you too)

While she was inspecting the pictures she took, you took out your phone and earphones and resumed the song you were listening to earlier. Taking the left side of the earphone, cleaning it with a cloth and putting it into March's ear.

March would look at you with a smile "Thank you! I appreciate it!"

March often feels like she's in a block of ice but your warmth and energy seems to melt it all away, over and over again.

Himeko:

>> While Pom-pom's talking with Welt, you and Himeko are exchanging stories and savoring the comfortable silence once you both have nothing to talk about. You stood up to pick another song that fits the mood of the Place and himeko signals for you to sit beside her– this time, close enough to lay her head onto your shoulders while you both listen to the music, although that doesn't happen as soon as you thought it would. As you sat down, Himeko gave you a short and gentle kiss on your cheek before finally relaxing and laying her head onto your shoulders while looking out in the galaxy.

Bronya:

Bronya knows that if her mother ever finds out, her mother would act like the Aeon of Destruction. She imagines that her mother orders you to be punished, she imagines herself losing her mother's trust and this forbidden love could leave her with nothing. But if loving you means losing everything? She's willing to sacrifice that. It's you and her against the world, after all.

Asta:

Exactly at 11:11 PM she'll message you;

You replied to Asta's message: "11:11 and thank you. Omw!"

Once you arrive at her room, her bed has been made and you will find her tablet at the bottom of the bed while it's connected to a mini speaker. As the music plays, Asta's sitting on the bed, playing with your hair and humming along the tune of the song. To be honest, you always fall asleep deeply due to her voice but you'll never admit that.

Natasha:

>> Natasha sighs at you. There were only three people at her clinic and you decided to sleep there and you didn't ask for her permission! "Good Evening to you too, Y/n, please do not– and you are gonna stay here." Sigh "Go ahead, i'll wake you up early? Alright?" You nod at her words and she smiles oh-so-brightly at you and finally lets you in, you always lay down where her table is the nearest. Natasha would never ever admit this, but she always lets you stay just like how you let her stay into your heart.

>> Kafka knows you like her. The way you avoided eye contact is all she needed to know before getting her plan started, what was her plan? To give you mixed signals and to see how long your patience will last (don't worry, she likes you too, she just doesn't wanna be the one to confess).

First up is to ask you what shade of lipstick fits her and after giving your opinion, she kisses the nape of your neck!

Next, Kafka requested to Elio for blade to be her companion, all they do is fight and tease each other and Blade doesn't know what the hell is up with her requesting them to be together for a mission. Kafka will try to hide the fact that she feels sorry for you! The way your eyes filled with shock when Blade and her were announced to be partners for mission, shock isn't the only thing you're feeling though, also jealousy.

While you're mostly in your comfort zone and that's why she likes you. Serval once offered her hands to you and showed you around Belebog and was nice enough to introduce you to her brother while her cheeks was painted a rosy-pink color, she just said "me? Blushing? No! When all was finished, your confession became your way of saying 'thank you' and her confessing back was her way of saying 'you're welcome'

Silver Wolf:

>> When she noticed one of her button pins missing from her jacket, she just dismissed it thinking it probably fell when it was in the laundry, but once she sees your bag that suddenly has a button pin that looks just like hers, she thinks otherwise 'why would they do that?' And when she ranted about it to Kafka, you bet she was teasing you but she did help you make your feelings more visible to Silver Wolf. And boy did it pay off! Because just as you were about to take a nap, you got a message from your phone;

"Give me back my button pin."

"I bought matching ones for us though."

"No need to confess, scaredy cat, I already know."

Stelle:

"I'm using your shirt as a pillow case"

>> Stelle has the same white shirt with multiple copies of it, because she says "it fits me more and is elegant yet simple to look at" and when she comes into your room while you're in the bathroom, she sees one of her shirts serving as a... Pillow case?

When you came out of the bathroom you WISH you could go right back but she's so strong and literally holds the door open while she makes you explain. "Isn't it elegant to look at? And besides, it's not the shirt you used while going in a trashcan." Her grip would loosen at the bathroom door, "and if you don't get the thing yet, I like you, Stelle." and her grip is finally out, letting go of the door while a thud follows. Did she faint while blushing? Oh gosh.

>> Welt's type would be: mature and patient, that is until you came along. You're reckless and if somebody talked bad about anyone you cared about, you'd be pulling out your weapon in no time. Welt could only sigh at your behavior but can't do anything about it because, well, you're you and he loves you. His soft spot is barely noticeable unless you've known Welt for a while (ehem Himeko, ehem Dan Heng, ehem March) then you'd definitely notice his presence shift and facial expressions soften. When you went to Jarilo-VI with the three youngsters, Welt would message you from time to time;

"Hi, good afternoon. As soon as you arrive at a hotel please notify me and don't call unless i say so."

When Sampo revealed it was you, they started to side eye him like– "y/n? The person that helped us here in the underground??" "THE Y/N?!" "😲😲❓" Long story short: they approved of the relationship but if they see you upset, they immediately blame it on Sampo.

With your golden heart reputation along with the trailblazer, it's no use for other people to hide such thankful and wonderful feelings whenever you help them. Sampo would be smiling like an idiot if he sees someone who's usually in a bad mood talk to you with smiles in their faces and that's something he'll brag about.

Whenever Sampo would be involved in a fight, you bet he looks at your picture first before going in like a beast to fight, he could only wish that you'll brag about him too <3

Luocha:

He loves it. Every scar, every stretch mark, every wound, every bruise, every scar, it's a ten for him. He wishes to be by your side while you heal physically and mentally.

He had a hard time faking to be asleep– hell even trying to sleep! All he can think about is you both together in the future, making sure each other is safe and that no harm would ruin both of your bond.

Gepard:

"I know I'm young but if I had to choose her or the sun, I'd be one nocturnal son of a gun"

>> Absolutely loves your energy and personality. His sister, Serval once said, "What if Y/n's actually the descendant of the Sun God? They makes my 'lil Geppie warm and breaks the ice surrounding him!" She'd laugh at her own statement while Gepard would think about what she said, yes, your personality does seem so energetic and your eyes radiates of what looks and seems to be innocence. But he damn well knows that he'd rather have the ice on his heart melt rather than the ice on his planet melt, call him selfish but he's a fool inlove.

Blade:

"It's gonna be a long drive home but I know as soon as I arrive home

She'll be back into my arms once more for sure"

>> Being a stellaron hunter is tiring, he wishes he could rest for all eternity but he can't. That was his mindset before you came, now it's all 'when I come home will they be in the shower? Or will they be on the couch, waiting for me?' Of course, you're on the couch and running back into his arms you go! You can tell him that he's all bloody and sweaty but he doesn't care, as long as you're willing to hug him, he has no problem changing the way he comes home.

Arlan:

"I love it when she calls my phone

She even got her very own ringtone"

>> Arlan has a default ringtone for everyone except Asta, Herta, and you. Whenever you call all you need is a second (maximum is 3 minutes) and he'll pick it up speaking with you using his gentle voice, you can almost feel his muscles relaxing at your voice.

Asta promised Arlan that she wouldn't tell his little secret but she spilled it to you by accident saying, "OH! Do you know Arlan memorized your ringtone? That's why he picks up so quickly!" You could only giggle at what she said.

Caelus:

"she even cooks me pancakes

And Alka Seltzer when my tummy aches

>> He Loves the way you care for him. It gives him a feeling of having a childhood or a feeling of once being young. If he gets sick, he always requests you to make him pancakes before taking his medicines and always waffles when he wakes up for breakfast.
