Thinking of Percy saying the life expectancy of demigods is 18 years old, how many half-bloods don't return from a quest
Thinking of Dionysus watching over these demigods, watching them train and prepare for monster fighting, knowing that it'll be a cause of their death one day
Thinking of Dionysus purposely calling each camper, even his own children, by their wrong name, because if they didn't like him, it would make it easier to not get attached
Thinking of that plan failing. Thinking of him always getting attached to these half-bloods, just to see them die, knowing that he couldn't help them
Because that was Zeus' punishment. Not to annoy Dionysus by taking away his freedom, but forcing him to watch teenagers train for their death, knowing it would happen and having no way of stopping it

I JUST REALISED SOMETHING WHEN WATCHING THE LIGHTNING THIEF MUSICAL
So y'know the song "The Day I Got Expelled" when Percy sings "nobody listens to me, nobody listens" and the next line is "dude, you got expelled" ?
I never thought much about it, but I realised this was not coincidental that he got interrupted by the latter lyric. It's basically the school not even trying to listen to his "excuses" and kicking him out anyway

Ok but the only reason the marauders had to die was because Lily Evans was too big of a threat.
If even only Lily had survived, I am certain that the length of the books would be halved, voldemort defeated in a few pages, and a lot fewer deaths.
Going through marauders tags and reading some fics, we all agree that Lily was a complete badass, and everyone was terrified of her. Now imagine that with a mother's wrath? Yeah, each book would've lasted 6 chapters maximum, and dumbledore, snape, and practically the whole ministry would have been seen as the assholes they are.
