love that we’re all obsessing over imogen making hearteyes at sahar at prom and the lighting of the scene and how imogen stopped talking to sahar once she got a boyfriend but like. why aren’t we talking more about—

they are SHARING A BED. imogen has HER ARM AROUND SAHAR. keep in mind that they still technically weren't really friends at this point!!! why did we move on so quickly from this?????

Imogen stopped talking to Sahar when she first got a boyfriend??? Imogen thinks she would be better off if she was into girls??? Imogen slept in the same bed as Sahar??? AND had her arm wrapped around her??? Imogen looked longingly at Sahar and smiled every so softly at her when she did that cute little guitar thing??? Yeah. I know what you are.

the day before heartstopper s2 dropped i literally thought "haha wouldnt it be funny if imogen was pan or smthn" THEN THIS HAPPENS?

in s3 of heartstopper, when they address the imogen/sahar possible romance, (and I definitely think they will, there was no heterosexual explanation for that prom scene) I hope Imogen says she wants to be unlabeled, and the whole gang is supportive of this, and tell her that it’s completely fine to be unlabeled, and there’s no pressure to label yourself when you’re just figuring things out, and then even after you’ve figured things out. it’ll be like a not-so-subtle way of saying ‘fuck you’ to all the ‘fans’ who pressured and bullied kit because he was unlabeled.

sahar telling imogen she ditched her and obviously being hurt by it…imogen looking up at sahar playing bass on stage like she was the only person in the room…🤨🏳️‍🌈❓

did a rewatch of episode 8 and found something to fuel my imogen and sahar brainrot???

the song that sahar and the band play is just like heaven by the cure (i love!!!) and i found the particular section of lyrics the crew chose for them to be playing during imogen approaching sahar to be quite interesting:

also fun fact before we get into this the lyric is actually “daylight licked me into shape” so uh. netflix on the very unlikely occasion that you see this post—

OKAY SO. “daylight kicked me into shape” daylight being a metaphor for imogen’s attraction to girls/romantic feelings for sahar and the full lyric line indicating her realizations that she feels something different with sahar. “i must’ve been asleep for days” referring to her previously thinking she was straight or attracted to guys exclusively.

“and moving lips to breathe her name” again, potentially indicating imogen’s romantic feelings towards sahar, as she's the one imogen has her attention on in this scene. “i opened up my eyes” judging by the way the camera cuts to sahar following said lyric, that she likes sahar!! and it could lead back to her realization that she is not just An Ally (TM), she’s queer!!
