You understood Mina’s precious words. You were so caught up in your world that you forgot to take care of her. She was way too supportive and respectful of your efforts that she didn’t want to jeopardize any of it.

➢ PART 1

Your thesis presentation was on Monday.

Sitting down and staring at a book or screen had become your second nature. You should’ve listened to Mina’s advice and bought that chair. Your back hurt, your neck was stiff and your posture was awful. But hey, there was no way in hell you were not graduating this semester. Letting out a big sigh and taking notes on what to improve, you went over the presentation again.

Frustration, tiredness and coffee are a bad combination. Your routine consisted of waking up, driving Mina to her job and studying until midnight, sometimes even later.

You felt guilty. Mina worked two jobs for you to survive. Things were a little rough but you pulled through. It was Mina’s idea for you not to work and finish your studies. You were against it but she insisted that it was only for a couple of months and she would happily do it if it meant that you could accomplish one of your lifetime goals.

She was such a caring and supportive girlfriend, staying by your side through thick and thin.

“Honey, it’s almost 1 AM. You need to rest too. If you don’t you won’t be able to study properly”. Receiving no response, Mina came out of under the sheets and went to your desk and patted you in the back.

“Hey, honey. Did you listen to me?”

“...that you need to study for your thesis presentation on Monday because you want to finally graduate and yadda yadda yadda” Mina responded playfully.

“What time is it?”

As Mina talked, your eyes went over your desk and all your notes. Mina noticed this and turned your head to face her.

Of course you didn’t. Her action made all your thoughts go away. There she was. Her silk-like skin. Her dark brown eyes, those that could see right through your soul. The same ones that would team up with her lips, drawing the most beautiful eye smile in the entire world. Her nose mole, which would make you stop to appreciate it and start your trip around her face one more time.

“Hmm?”. She pouted her lips in response to your words. She barely did so but it was enough to make you melt one more time. The mole above her upper lip had always been your weakness. There was something so seductive about it. You’d think that after all the time you spent together you would have become used to it and maybe you did, but just not enough.

Mina noticed the change in your look. She giggled and blushed a little. She looked down for an instant and came back with a counter-attack:

“Are you serious? You picked the songs last time too!”
