How Genshin Men Would Propose to You

Zhongli ————

He’s 100% the more romantic and intimate type, so it’s very likely he’d propose when the two of you are alone.

He would take you out on a nice walk in the morning, subtly leading you to the place he had set up for his question.

By the time it’s noon you’ve settled down at the side of one of the many lakes in Liyue. He had taken the time out of his day to make your favorite food and set you two up on a soft and thick blanket filled with your favorite colors.

The two of you hang out, have fun, trade stories and such until the sun comes down. When the stars begin to show themselves something about Zhongli changed.

“My dear…” he whispers to you, staring at the sky. “I’ve lived many centuries and i’ve witnessed many of the stories shared today. I have my favorites, but there is one i’ve yet to live. A dream I wish to live. A dream i want to make a reality.” He stares at you with his beautiful amber eyes, stars reflecting in them. He reaches into his pocket as he leans a little closer to you. “I love you, so much. My dream is to live with you for the rest of your life. My dream… Is to have you as my wedded partner.” He pulls out the most beautiful ring. The band is made of pure silver, and the gems are carved from a cor lapis. The amber tones of the stone reminds you of his eyes. You stare back at him, smiling, “I would love to marry you, Morax.” He smiles, this is indeed the happiest moment of his life.

Scaramouche ————

He’s a soft little menace. Just mean enough, but also just caring enough. He’s got that tsundere energy man i’m telling ya. Popping the question would be VERY hard for him. He’s just scared that you’ll betray him just like the others… But one day, he finally gets over his fear. He wants you- and he will make you his.

When you wake up you notice he’s already gone, with no traces to where he’d left. Slight panic ensues as the thought of him getting kidnapped raced into your mind. You start looking around, slowly calming down as you don’t see any sign of struggle. It was noon when he came back, and you started overwhelming him with questions.

He seems… different today. Uncharacteristically shy and reserved. You wanted to see what was wrong, but, maybe it was best to leave him alone for now.

Just as you begin walking away, he grabs your wrist with an unknown look in his eyes. You stare back confused, that’s when he starts speaking.

“L-listen! You better put your ears to good use now you hear me?! I’m only going to say this once!” He seemed very nervous. Your heart began to pound. “You’re such an idiot, following me around and giving me such… amazing things…” He took a deep breath. He looks at you in the eyes, he has the most loving look you’ve ever seen. “I can’t believe i’ve fallen for such an idiot, but i have. And i see now that it’s never going to change. I… I love you! And I want, no, need you to be mine! Mine and mine alone!” He quickly pulls out a ring, averting his gaze. It’s so pretty! The band is a rich gold with small sango pearls imbued in it. At the center, framed in gold, is a gem made of crystal marrow. You take it from him and put it on, “I love it! And i love you!” You hug him tightly, “I would love to be yours, forever and ever. I love you Kuni.” He hugs back.

Childe ————

We all know he’s a big flirt and tease. He’s very likely to propose to you in the middle of a busy street tbh. But it seems like someoneee (zhongli) knocked a little sense into him.

As per usual, he took you out for a luxurious evening. You expected him to take you to yet another fancy restaurant, don’t get it wrong, you like the food. But it’s been a while sinc- what. You stare, pretty stupidly ngl. He brought you to your favorite restaurant. “What the fuck.” You say. He just smiles and leads you inside. Yeah something fishy is going on.

Of course he offers to pay for everything, so you naturally don’t hold back at all. You’ve probably ordered six or seven different things by now, but you can’t help it! This shit is amazing! Your eyes dart over to Childe, who’s smirking.

“What?!?” You say, preparing to get a flirty response. But instead, what you get surprises you beyond belief.

“I love you so much. You’re just so cute and sweet.” He reaches over to grab your left hand, slipping something out of his sleeve. “My love, allow me to make you mine.” He slips a ring on your finger. You look at it in surprise. The band is silver, with some beautiful shining blue gem you’ve never seen. You look at him and smile, “You really are something Ajax.” You kiss him. “I would love to be with you for as long as we live.” He giggled as his smirks again, the light returning to his eyes.

How Genshin Men Subtly Show Their Affection Towards You

He’s a very busy man, so the time you two spend together is much less of the average couple. That doesn’t mean you get less affection though…

Whenever he locks eyes with you he gives you the sweetest smile as his tail wags gently. The little sparkles that light up in his eyes whenever someone brings you up never fails to melt your heart.

He’d leave you an assortment of flowers he’s found in the forest with various letters detailing his love for you. Sometimes he’d give you a rare gem if he stumbles across it in the wilderness with a little doodle.

Childe ————

Like Tighnari, he’d be gone a lot on missions that would last a few days to weeks, sometimes a month or two. That won’t stop Childe from giving you love though.

He would also give you surprise presents and letters whenever he’s out on missions. However, his presents would be more extravagant. He’d be giving you jewelry, plushies, and various items from various lands. With the gifts would be letters detailing his adventures with a few photos included.

He would also leave you a bit of mora occasionally, just in case you need it. Hell there was even a time where we just gave you a santa bag full of mora. You were…. shocked….

Cyno ————

Once again, busy busy man. Unlike the two however, he’d definitely be home more often. Whenever he passes you on the streets he would pat your shoulders and give you a little smile.

Whenever he does come home he’d always make dinner, no matter how much you insist- he would always make your favorite dishes too- just to make you smile.

Whenever you’re struggling with something; let it be your job, friends, or those stupid little thoughts; he’ll always be there. He will always be there to help and he will drop everything to come to your aid if you ever needed it.

(as a bonus he’d probably hire a few soldiers to keep an eye on you to make sure you’re safe)

Scaramouche ————

You’d pretty much always be with him considering the fact you two would be traveling together, so giving you affection would be easy right..? welll, it’s Scaramouche. Nothing is quite that easy when this man gets involved.

Whenever you hug him or give him unwarranted kisses, he’d complain and groan, but never push you away. Sometimes whenever you two are in a busy city he’d “accidentally” bump hands with you constantly until you grab his. Then he’d complain and complain, but you both know he wanted this.

Whenever he sees you eye something at shops, he would sneak back to buy it before sneaking it in with the rest of your stuff. When you ask how it got there he’d just roll his eyes and call you stupid. I mean- how could you NOT remember buying that? Idiot…

Al-Haitham ————

This guy reads like no other, and he doesn’t like being disturbed either. And it always seems like when he isn’t reading he’s busy doing Akademiya stuff. However it’d be stupid of you to assume he gives you no affection.

He would read and research a lot about your interest in private, and he’d always be sure to mention it in your conversations just to see your eyes light up. He can’t help it, your expressions are just so adorable when you’re happy. Wait- what do you mean he’s blUshIng?? You don’t know what you’re talking about-

You obviously wouldn’t notice this, but the amount of times he’s kept you from harm is astonishing. Wether it’s beating the shit out of shady fellas, or scaring off dangerous animals and shrooms, he’s ALWAYS keeping you as safe as possible.

Al-Haitham —-

Come on- that dude will never let you forget it. He’s going to be so subtle and snide about it to. He’ll ask you to get something for him that’s just slightly out of your reach, then he’ll pretend he forgot that you were SO short. You’re never going to live this down.

When he isn’t in a cocky “i’m taller then thou” attitude he may let you sit on his lap while he studies. Just don’t bother him too much or else it’s Punt You Across the Room time.

Being short isn’t a bad thing at all though. The amount of times you have successfully scared this man is shocking. Two time’s you’ve succeeded! Who knew hiding in the cupboards would be such a scary thing for Al-Haitham?

Zhongli —-

Unlike sassy gray hair man, he doesn’t really care at all. As a matter of fact, he finds it endearing. He feels that if you were any taller you wouldn’t look nearly as cute. I can see you two snuggling pretty often with you in his lap as he tells you stories.

Whenever you fall asleep on his lap he silently thanks your parents for giving you genes for being short. If he had to carry someone his height and size it wouldn’t be the easiest thing in the world.

Head. Pats. 100%. You get them all the time. At home? Pats. Walk down the streets of liyue? Pats. Eating dinner? Pats. You cannot escape the head pats so lets hope you enjoy them.

Childe —-

He’s Al-haitham but a million times worse. He’s the man that can and WILL bring out your inner chihuahua. Even if you’re usually really calm and collected, or even shy! This man will bring out your wrath.

He’d constantly pick you up and swing you around like a toddler, he’d rest his arm on your head or shoulders, he’d constantly ask if you needed help reaching anything, the whole nine yards. At least you are in the perfect range for a dick kick.

However one side you definitely weren’t expecting from the tease of a man was how protective he is of you. He’s always looking out for you wether you realize it or not. He’s always holding your hand or having an arm wrapped around you. Trust me when I say he won’t let any unwelcomed hand touch you, that’s a promise.

Ayato —-

He finds your height “most amusing”. Yeah, amusing. He wouldn’t be one to shove it in your face or anything, but when you’re trying to reach the place that’s a l i t t l e too high… You can hear him snicker before he grabs it for himself. He finds your struggles entertaining, what a weirdo.

This does mean however, that you got one of the most important people in Inazuma to basically act as your servant. You need to grab something that’s miles away from the bed? Ayatoooooo! You want to reach the last bit of whatever sounds good to you? Ayatooooo! You’ve managed to subtly wrap him around your finger, and of course he obliges… Sometimes.

Sometimes when he’s in a good mood he’ll offer a piggyback ride through the wilderness. If you agree, then have fun observing everything a few feet higher! If not, then he’d probably find some other way to pick you up. Why he wants to pick you up so badly you’ll never know.

After all that flirting he does you’d expect him to have a good singing voice. Well, not quite. Now don’t get me wrong, he can sing sometimes, but his singing voice is best suited for flirtatious endeavors.

When he gets on stage, he’d likely sing softer, slower, and more romantic songs such as “Sway” and “Love is a Bitch”. He’d be staring s t r a i g h t at you too, attempting to serenade you. Would it work? Who knows~

Childe ————

I’m sorry, as much as I love Childe I cannot lie. He can’t sing. The only things he could sing are nursery rhymes (family things). His voice simply cannot handle any song that isn’t Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Once people notice he’s next, earplugs are silently passed out. Somehow everyone has the subtle feeling their poor poor eardrums are going to get harmed. Well they were right, but he’s clearly trying so you gotta give him a little love.

Heizou ————

This man’s singing voice is pretty average. Neither good nor bad. A few songs he can really sing, others not so much. He would probably sing a few pop songs in the car on the way to the next crime scene.

He’d definitely only sing the songs he’s good at (mostly just to impress you) and slightly because he doesn’t want to be an embarrassment. Midway through the song “Bad Romance” though, his work phone rings. Guess there’s a new case and he’s out the door. But of course he doesn’t leave without giving you a wink and a smirk.

We’ve all heard his boss music, he’s got a very nice voice. Despite his menace-like behavior his singing voice could definitely lull you to sleep. His voice is 100% suited for soothing, kinda slow songs. However get him worked up and he could probably do a few metal versus (minus the screaming)

Of course, everyone forced him on stage (mans really thought he could get free drink and peanuts and n o t sing smh) and as he grabbed the microphone he shot everyone a v e r y rude stare. He ended up singing “Love you Like a Love Song” with the biggest scowl on his face.

Zhongli ————

Out of everyone you brought to the bar with you, Zhongli has the best voice by far. Who knew he could reach such notes??? And have such a versatile voice ayooo?!?? All of you are more confused then anything. How can someone so stoic have such an amazing voice?

All of you expected him to sing something that was calm and serene, but no. Here this man stood, singing Paparazzi. All of you were blown away, but half of the people there refused to show it out if spite. All in all, a very fun night (minus Childe’s 3 minutes of torture.)

You looked around, taking in the beautiful and lush sights of Port Ormos. You would definitely live here if you had the chance, but with the amount of more you made currently that was a far away dream. You sigh as you turn the corner. You were approaching the spot you and Al-haitham agreed to meet up at. You smiled at the thought, but suddenly you felt three pairs of strong hands grab your body. You then disappeared into the shadows, with three nasty looking people holding blunt objects.

“Well look at this! Someone’s looking for a beatin’!” You stand up, ready to defend yourself, but a hard-hitting punch knocked you off your feet. The world was spinning, and you felt your body get filled with pain, well that way until you started hearing half assed apologies and panicked voices. You felt a warm and gentle hand caress the top of your head, “You alright?” Al-haitham asks. You look at him and smile, feeling the pain already going away. “Thank you.” Al-haitham smiles back, helping you up. “Let’s patch you up.”

Cyno ————

You sat near the edge of one of the many cliffs in the Sumeru Desert. The desert always looked so pretty from up high. The sand dancing around, the animals scurrying about, and the small groups of people occasionally walking on the roads. You sighed a little, Cyno was late. This man was almost never late, it was strange. Just as your head started filling up with concerns, you felt a tight grip on your arms.

“Hey what the hell?!?” You yell, attempting to kick whoever grabbed you from behind. “Quit squirming! Do you want to die?” The person asks as they hang you over the cliff. You never thought you would be the person who could freeze in fear, but I guess this moment proved you wrong. But then, the ground returned to your feet as you heard someone getting the shit kicked out of them. Coming back to your senses you turn around, seeing Cyno absolutely destroy whoever assaulted you. Once he was done, he looked back at you with loving eyes. “Did they hurt you?” He asked. “No, my arms are just cramping a bit.” Cyno placed a gentle hand on each arm, rubbing them softly, “Let’s go somewhere safer.”

Tighnari ————

You wandered the forest, admiring every aspect of it. The trees, the water, the creatures… Wait… You noticed one of the many felines in the trees staring at you. You recall Tighnari mentioning to you about avoid them if you had no way of defending yourself. You step back, arms opening in a protective pose. The feline stalks you, preparing to pounce. You back up quicker, but that only seemed to agitate the feline more. It pounced, and you closed your eyes as you crouched to the ground.

“How many times do I have knock some common sense into that thick skull of yours?!?” You hear the whish of an arrow and the thud of the giant feline hitting the floor. You sigh. “Tighnari… I’m sorry.” You mutter. Tighnari helps you up, “Yeah yeah, tell me that all you want. As long as you’re okay.” You smile, silently thanks the archons for saving you from his scolding. That was, until you felt a flick on your forehead, “What were you thinking you giant lummox?!?”

Tighnari ——-

He’s… Not a fan. At all. All the noise hurts his ears, and when he rides a rollercoaster for the first time you swear that man had a near heart attack. The only thing he seemed to enjoy were the plays either on the walkways or the stages.

If you ask VERY nicely he’ll play a few games. Don’t expect him to win however, his head already hurts from the crowd’s noise alone. But give him enough affection (and pain medication) and he’ll win you that plushie you wanted.

Al-Haitham ——-

He doesn’t really get why people love amusement parks so much. We all know he’d much rather be in a quieter space with just the two of you, so it was quite the surprise when he actually agreed to taking your weekend date to the closest amusement park.

His heart would probably race a little while riding the crazier rollercoasters, but he would refuse to show it. Too embarrassing. He may never say this, but if you beg enough and give him the puppy dog eyes, he’ll do anything for you.

Cyno ——-

Surprisingly, he loved the amusement park! He liked how the rollercoasters gave him a similar adrenaline to fighting, he liked how much skill the games required, and the plays were very interesting.

The only thing he didn’t really like was the food. It tasted too… cheap. Not to mention the food was absurdly messy. But this whole trip allowed him to majorly stock up on his terrible jokes. I wish you luck on the ride home and for weeks afterwards…

Scaramouche ——-

You can’t tell if he loves or hates it. His face screams hate, but his eyes and occasional smile says otherwise. What a complicated man. He would go through every rollercoaster just to prove (to himself) that he was better and braver then everyone else.

He would get unbearable competitive with the games, challenging you to every one. Sadly, 75% of the time he would win. Meaning l o t s of bragging and teasing. (glory -_-) But when you do win it’s VERY rewarding, the scowl on his face says it all. Overall you two would actually end up having a pretty good time.

At first he probably won’t care much, that was until you tested your luck.

As you leaned down to rest your arm on his head he got highkey offended. “ExUsE mE?!?” Chihuahua mode activated.

After that day you swear you can see a scowl on his face every time he remembers.

He would NEVER in a MILLION years admit this- but he always feels so safe and happy whenever your tall ass encloses him in an inescapable hug.

Would at times feel challenged by your height. When he does feel this he had a very large urge to just… Dominate you. Sometime’s he’d succeed and other times… Not so much.

Xiao ———-

As long as you don’t pull up any short jokes, he’d probably really love it.

For years and years and YEARS he’s always been the one protecting others, so when he finds himself wrapped in your arms he finally feels protected.

He would definitely love falling asleep in your arms as he feels all his burdens wash away. It soothes him to an extent he can never explain.

When you do eventually pull up a short joke, this make retaliates. Classic short person syndrome, it got the best of Xiao too. He would be grumpy for most of the day at least. (You cannot convince me this man does n o t hold weird ass grudges.)

Albedo ———-

When I tell you this man won’t give a shit, I mean it. Out of all the characters listed here he’d be last for shits given.

If anything you’re a huge help whenever he practices alchemy. He needs to put something up high? You do it. He needs to reach something up high and is too lazy to use the power of parkour? Pick him up. Give it enough time and you’ll become an every day help.

On occasion he’d probably test the physical capabilities between and short person and a tall person, compare the results, and use it for god knows what.

When he does get out of the alchemy test everything in sight mindset he would likely use you as his personal chair that walks. There is no getting out of it, you’re his walking, talking, breathing chair.

Kazuha ———-

Similar to Albedo, he wouldn’t give two shits about the height differences and the jokes. Besides, he can also use you to his advantage… (evil laughter)

90% of the time you’re either carrying him, giving him a piggyback ride, or letting him sit on your lap. This man would use you as an excuse to laze about, so of course you’re not just his personal chair but his personal bed AND horse. How lucky!

Whenever he’s working on his poems he’d usually look to you for inspiration. Especially for his poems about love. He just can’t help it, you’re just so good to look at. Not to mention your height just makes him even more attractive to him.

Synopsis : With so many responsibilities Tighnari faces, his usual routine includes waking up at the crack of dawn. So how would his life shift when he ends up dating someone who never wakes up before noon?

When you two first start dating it was…. an adjustment to say the least. Tighnari would wake up at the suns first light, as per usual, and would find himself caged down by your arms. As he would try to get himself free you would only hold on tighter, and when he eventually got free he could swear you were glaring at him through your closed eyes.

One early morning, he tried waking you up. Wrong. move. For a brief moment he thought you were possessed by some extra spicy demon. Kicks were attempted, insults were thrown, a poor pillow was almost abused. After that, the thought of waking you up early would give Tighnari shivers.

When you DO wake up, Tighnari is already out on Forest Ranger stuff. This gives you time to pamper yourself up a little, steal some of his food and clothes, and being somewhat of a menace. Don’t worry, the sassy Tighnari would stop caring eventually right? ….. right..?

When he finally does come home hugs and kisses are used as greetings. He gives all of what little time he has left towards you, after all you are his one and only. Even if you have a tendency to become a sleep deprived monster if you are woken up. You may even catch his tail wagging a bit when he sees you smile.

As the day comes to a close, Tighnari holds you close to him as you rub his ears. He hums a short but sweet song, lulling you to sleep. Kissing your forehead, he lays you down on the bed. At times he gets sad when he thinks about how little time you two can have together. With his work and you’re… Well… Sleepiness. It can be tough, but he will always be here with you, sleep deprived demon or not.

synopsis : You and Scaramouche were taking a walk outside when it started snowing…

Taking a walk with the ever so grumpy scaramouche was a rare occurrence indeed, but it was not unwelcome. The two of you walked side by side, about a foot apart from each other. Both of you relishing in the beautiful and vibrant scenery that covered the islands of Inazuma. The two of you were traveling about, neither staying here nor there, usually camping in the wilderness and leaving the next morning. As to why Scaramouche insisted on you coming along on his travels, albeit in his usual grumpy manner, was a total mystery to you. For all you know he could be plotting your murder, and you would never even realize.

As your string of thoughts end, you notice the wind slowly starting to pick up, a chill breeze swept through your arms leaving goosebumps in it’s tracks. You look over at Scaramouche, who seems focused on what lied ahead. Looking ahead, you notice a large assortment of clouds heading towards your direction. By your approximations, it should be overhead in about 2 minutes. “Whoa.” Your voice subconsciously rung out, displaying your slight astonishment at the array of clouds coming your way. “Quit gawking and start looking for shelter.” A harsh voice cuts your focus in half, causing you to look in his direction. You caught sight of him slightly rolling his eyes as he looks away. ‘So sassy for no reason…’ You thought as you quicken your pace, looking for anything that would cover the both of you from the oncoming storm.

The wind picked up faster, the chilly air making you shiver. The storm should be overhead any second. Man, you really didn’t feel like getting soaked in the harsh rain Inazuma delivers on a near constant basis. Your arms crossed, your hands slightly rubbing your arms as you try to warm yourself up. Your eyes caught sight of a house in the far distance, one of the many abandoned houses left in this area. You nudge Scaramouche’s shoulder, pointing to the house. He simply scowls as he starts to move towards it, grabbing the edge of your sleeve, pulling you with him. “H-hey!” You retaliate, making no effort to scramble out of his tightening grip. “You’re slow, move faster.” His words were short, but with an edge of worry you’ve never heard before. ‘Is he worried about something?’ You ask in your head as the light dims, seems like the storm has finally made it.

You feel something hit your extended arm, looking down you realize something. “Hey this isn’t rain-!” You exclaim as your body is gently hit more and more. “This is snow!” You look around, seeing a flurry of giant snowflakes hitting the floor. A big, somewhat childish grin grows on your face. Your love of snow could not be hidden. You pull yourself out of Scaramouche’s grip and you begin to wander around. “Hey! Stop acting so childish and get inside!” You giggle slightly, “I think i’ll stay out here for a while.” You heard a very audible annoyed huff as a string of footsteps quickly approach, “Are you stupid or what?! You’re going to get sick if you remain out here.” Scaramouche’s usual temper seems to be boiling under the surface, ready to explode. You turn to look at him, grinning like an idiot, ready to meet eye to eye with the angry Scaramouche, but what you see surprises you. He seems somewhat taken back, eyes a little wider with a faint red airbrushed on his cheeks. You hum in confusion.

Scaramouche looks away and clears his throat, taking off a scarf he had been wearing today. Hastily, he wraps it around you before walking away. “Don’t get all fussy when you wind up sick and helpless!” He retorts as he disappears into the house. You just stand there in both confusion and happiness, pulling the scarf closer. It was warm, with a slight scent lavender. You smiled before turning around and trying to catch a few snowflakes in your palms. Obviously, it would melt, but fun is still fun. As you turned, walked, and spun in the snow, for a spilt second your eyes caught sight of scaramouche sitting in the abandoned house. He was watching you, with a smile on his face. You smile even more in response, an intrusive thought entering your mind.

Oh how funny (and scary) this intrusive thought was. You gathered the small amount of snow on the ground and made a snowball, quickly turning around and aiming at Scaramouche, throwing with all your might. You don’t hit him per se, but you did hit the wall a mere few centimeters away. “Dang it!” You exclaim. Scaramouche stands up, walking towards you with a smirk plastered on his face. “You can’t aim for shit!” He exclaims. You can’t tell if he’s mad or not. Well, that was until you saw him preparing a snowball. ‘Oh shit oh shit oh shit-‘ As you turned to begin to run, you felt a sharp pain on your shoulder. “AUGH!” Evil laughter erupts behind you. “Oh you SO got it coming now!” You yell as you collect snow. Looks like this is going to last a while.

You open your eyes, small beams of sunlight shoot through the small cracks in the abandoned house. Multiple spots of pain shoot through your body. ‘Why did he have to throw so hard???’ You question. As you push yourself up, a warm blanket falls from your shoulders. ‘Huh?’ You look down at it, trying to remember when the hell you got this. “You sleep like the ugliest sloth i’ve ever seen.” A rude comment alerts you to Scaramouche’s presence. “Ha. ha.” You retort back, coughing a little afterwards. You feel a hand on your forehead, “You idiot…” You look up, a worried expression coated Scaramouche’s face, “You got sick after all.” He looks away, his cheeks slowly turning red as he realizes something. “Guess i’ll have to take care of your weak ass.” You smile, guess he does have a soft spot for you after all.
