Pets are more important than a lot of people realize. They teach us things and show us things we wouldn't otherwise think about or consider. They give us a lot too and they really don't expect much in return except for your loyalty, to be fed and given water, and to be kept indoors with you. Treat them right and they will treat you as if you can do no wrong. The feeling is incredible in so many ways. Pets provide us with so much love and compassion, understanding and friendship. They give us a reason to live and to get out of bed. They give us a sense of responsibility and the desire to be better for them. They love us unconditionally and are always willing to listen without ever speaking badly about you or spreading rumors or telling your secrets. I think people often forget that they can love animals with all their heart, and still be the ones causing them pain and suffering. If you are a hoarder, you are NOT doing right by the animals in your care. You are giving them the life you claim you want to protect them from. Being euthanized humanely can be so much better than a life full of misery and suffering. Check out what these poor dogs had to suffer through. The inability to realize just how terrible of a job he did and what suffering he caused these dogs completely amazes me in the worst way. It would be so hard not to smack him in the face and scream!
