little shinran headcanon: shinichi never told directly to agasa that he likes ran, since the doctor always knew that he loved her, shinichi eventually started to talk about ran like he told him about his crush himself. also (this is pretty canon) agasa is also the only person shinichi confides in about his relationship and he always listens and is there for him everytime.

hi hii. i want to ask. what are your thoughts about detective conan ending? is it true that aoyama gosho said that conan will turn to shinichi in the end? and shinran is definitely endgame? i am quite worried because there are people speculating coai to be endgame huhu. thank you in advanced!!
Don't worry. ShinRan is endgame. Gosho has confirmed that it will be a happy ending, and there is no happy ending where Shinichi chooses someone else over Ran.

Episode 193: The Desperate Revival - The Promised Place
Ooba-san will always have 100 answers for all of Shinichi’s 100 stupid questions, except for…. “Pink Pearl.” He deduces that Ooba-san is the culprit because the light from the elevator revealed that the girl’s earrings were pink, when in the dim lighting, they were nothing more than grey orbs. Shinichi is also suffering some heart attacks while solving the case. Haibara meets him in the bathroom later, and does not seem to care that Shinichi is grasping the mirror, and writhing in pain. She’s more concerned about timing how long he can last before he turns back into Conan. He returns to Ran, who goes through multiple personality changes while she comes to terms with Shinichi’s second abandonment. This includes shouting at Conan that she didn’t want to hear what Shinichi had to say, crying, laughing, asking him to stay for dessert, eating at least five ice cream sundaes, and passive aggressively passing judgment on Shinichi’s character. Mouri has to wait in the car for several hours. Also, the reason why Shinichi wanted to take Ran to this fancy restaurant, which she thinks is show-offy, especially if he wasn’t going to tell her anything important, is because it’s the same place his father proposed to his mother……The Legendary Couple.
Best Quotes:
Megure (summarizing the events of the case): “So, the revenge inherited from the father was solved by the second generation. Ironic, isn’t it, Kudou?”

Since I wanted to share a few works of mine here's my last ShinRan fic's rough translation. It's called "Do you remember that sunset?" and were inspired by "Eternal Eternity" from Sailor Moon. So it some references to that song.
I'm really sorry for all the grammar mistakes or strange phrases (if there's so), I'm not good at English.
Fluff!
“Do you remember the first sunset we saw together?”
'I'll never forget that' Shinichi almost said. Even if he lived forever, he would never be able to forget the glitter of the setting sun and the gentle smile of little Ran. They were sitting on his bed and looked out the window, just like now, but when they were seven years old. When Ran's mother left her with Kudo’s.
Shinichi just took a look at the pale Ran to guess why. Kogoro and Eri's quarrel again. Each time stronger than the previous one. Each time, Ran stood aside and twirled her favorite pocket mirror in her hands.
Ran hoped it would stop. That two or three quarrels would be enough, but she had to cry more and more. Everything is not the same as it used to be - it's a new truth, it's hard to accept. Only Shinichi's sad look remained unchanged.
Shinichi could feel his anger growing. Two adults couldn't be so stupid. He couldn't move away from Ran in those years. Shinichi covered Ran with his small hand. The icy gaze of his eyes hurled spears at his negligent parents.
Even if it was late at night and his mother told him to not worry, he would dive under the covers with his phone, knowing that Ran couldn't sleep. He didn't talk about Holmes, he didn't bother Ran with detective stuff he loved. He listened to everything Ran had to say to her father and mother. Their mothers were angry tomorrow, and two children laughed together, discussing yesterday's events.
Ran grumbled with him and Sonoko about everything that happened, everything she wanted to say. Resentment, discontent, loneliness, everything that had accumulated in her young soul. Sonoko promised that she would take her with him to unwind at the sea, she was about to persuade her parents. Shinichi promised to go with them, even if he knew that the three children would never seriously go anywhere.
Days and months passed. Spring came after winter as well as new year at school. Shinichi remembered the terrible wind that tore off Ran's favorite hat. He remembered the tall tree he had climbed for it and the bruise he had received. Ran’s quiet "thank you" was all he wanted at that moment.
To Ran, every day seemed like an eternity. Every word of the parents brought the quarrel closer. One day is like another, and time has passed without waiting for Ran.
Ran, Mouri's only daughter, was left alone. She could spend the whole evening playing toys, plugging her ears with headphones to hide from her parents' quarrel, but, in an instant, she would inevitably grab her phone.
Through her tears, she searched for Shinichi's number, trying to catch his first or last name. She accidentally mixed it with Yukiko’s, but Yukiko understood Ran. She promised to persuade Eri to keep Ran with them.
It was easy for her. Shinichi didn't expect that in a few minutes he would see Ran in the living room with a small bag in her hands. As soon as their eyes met, Ran rushed to him. She wanted to see him so badly.
To hear his carrying words to her again. If Shinichi is around, if she could touch his arm, there are two of them. It's not scary if they’re together.
They enjoyed the sky. Yukiko scolds them, but tomorrow, now, the sunset is important. Shinichi squeezed Ran's hand. "You can count on me, Ran, always," Shinichi smiled. His cheeks flushed. Ran didn't need to know that this phrase was from a romance novel.
"Whatever happens?” Ran hesitated, but Shinichi squeezed her hand without the slightest hesitation. He was able to find Ran when they were playing hide-and-seek. And he believed that he would solve all the riddles if it saved her.
"I'm sure. No matter how much time passes, I'm there. It doesn't matter when," he whispered phrases from books. He said every one he could remember, just to make Ran smile. And he was telling the truth, even if it was like this.
And Ran believed. I believed that Shinichi would be there. He will be the one who comes if it is bad, as it is now. As always. As if it were meant to be. As if it was meant to be. Ran could rely on him.
"Lean on me," Ran whispers softly at the end of the sunset. Their slight smiles... A difficult moment that brought them together. Since that sunset we've always been together.
"Still, you lied to me," Ran sighed, noticing that Shinichi’s flashbacks ended. He pouted. "I've been waiting for you for a year, but you...”
"I'm sorry," Shinichi averted his eyes. I knew that ‘I'm sorry’ is not enough. After all, he was there all the time, unable to let go of Ran. While she didn't get more than a phone call.
"I don't know how I didn't figure it out," Ran was smiling now. Forgiveness had to be earned, but it was worth her gaze and their intertwined fingers. It was all worth it. "Conan-kun's hand was like yours... As if deep in my heart I knew...”
"I've gone crazy every time," Shinichi wasn't lying. Every tear Ran shed was his pain. The pain of an idiot who believed he could protect Ran like this. "Your gaze spoke more than words," he sighed. A sad question that had stuck in his head burst out. "Don't you regret forgiving me?"
"No," Ran smiled slyly. This is his first serious mistake. And the remorse in his eyes is enormous. “We have a long way to go. And I want to go through it with you, this time together. Like back then.”
"Together," Shinichi whispered. A single word breathed more warmth than the setting sun. "Together," he repeated, squeezing his hand on Ran's shoulder.
They seemed to be back in childhood among that similar seven-years-old days. Again, the sunset they met together. A sunset that they noticed separately in their rooms when they did not want to fall asleep. Their shared moment is timeless.
"I haven't told you that I missed you yet?" Ran chuckled. Shinichi didn't have to ask. He could see it in Ran's eyes. Her pain and loneliness. "I've thought so many times to go look for you...”
"And you'd found me many times," he exhaled languidly. How many times Ran exposed him? I had to go out of my way to deceive her. Every time Shinichi wanted to admit his defeat. “Do you remember that?”
“Yes... Even though you denied everything, I felt like you were nearby," a breathless whisper, a smile on his face. Ran clasped her hands around Shinichi's waist and squeezed them so tightly that he let out a low gasp. "It's like you've always been there... Like in your phrases from romance novels.”
“Did knew what I was repeating from the books that time?” Shinichi let out a small chuckle. Instead of hugging Ran back, he sat Ran between his legs. Ran blushed thicker than the sunset. Shinichi held her so tight that she couldn't move. "It may seem strange to you, but... Thank you. I’m happy that I’m important to you.”
‘What an idiot!’ Ran wanted to say. From the moment he soothed her as a child, Ran knew that he was important. That feeling was from love, but it's something similar. Friendship. Trust.
She knew she could run over to play with Shinichi if she felt sad. She could call him if she needs to talk. Only his presence made her feel better. All she had to do is find Shinichi.
And even though time slipped forward without a trace, as long as she didn't see him, he was there. In a message, call or a trinket gift - valuable part of his feelings and him. Always with her, no matter how time has passed.
It doesn't matter if fate existed. Ran wanted to believe in the thread on their little fingers. Still, Shinichi's smile at the sunset warmed her heart even more. Shinichi hugged her with a childish smile, not hiding his nostalgia for the sunset. Happy, that they’re a couple now.
Ran turned to Shinichi. A red ray of the setting sun descended on his face. Ran pressed her hand to his warm cheek. Together again from now on.
"Ran, if you'll stare at me, you'll miss the sunset!" Shinichi only teased her. He was thinking of something else, and you could see it in his eyes. "Afraid you won't be able to find me when it gets dark?"
"Don't tease me!" Ran chuckled. She held him with other hand. And didn't want to let go of him. "No matter when, we would still meet again?"
"Trust me. Until the very end, I will watch every sunset here with you," Shinichi whispered softly. He lifted Ran's hands to leave a light kiss on her small fingers. “You won't be lonely.”
"And you promise that you won’t leave me alone anymore," Ran loved to tease him back. Shinichi didn't mind it, he laughed. He deserved it. “Promise?”
"I promise that if something happens, we'll deal with it together," it is no longer a cliché from romance novels. A sincere promise, whispered only to Ran and Ran alone. For her and silent sunset.
"Let's share everything like this sunset," the phrase broke by itself. With a smile, Ran turned to the sunset, a faint arc of the great sun floating over the horizon.
"Then let me share something," the predatory tone of Shinichi voice made Ran laugh for some reason. As soon as Ran turned to him, Shinichi pulled her into a kiss.
Their hands were intertwined, just like when they were children. A small silk thread seemed to tickle their little fingers. It was getting hot in Shinichi's arms.
Sun went below the horizon. Soon they can observe the moon and the stars.
"Ran," Shinichi licked his lips. Whatever he said, he wanted more kisses. "We making stargazing our new tradition? If one of them falls…"
"What you going to wish?" Ran smiled. ‘For us to be close,’ flashed through her mind.
"We've already promised to be together forever," Shinichi's breath tickled his nose. He didn't believe in fate. Any fate, except his and Ran's. “Let's think about what else we can wish.”
"Hmm," it was hard to hide Ran’s red cheeks. As much as she denies it, Shinichi are pretty romantic. Probably too much. “We have a long night ahead... Let's think about it together!”

Yukiko/Yusaku: Our Greatest Masterpiece
A/N: Okay, you know what? I give up! I have saved this one-shot like two years or something just to post it on Kudo Day, but like every other year before, I missed it again D: So I decided to give up and just post it. If I didn’t remember it this year, I have no idea how I would do it next either.
But a little backstory, because I love to share those. In the winter of 2020, I participated in the Finnish fanfic -server in a challenge named Fluff10, in which the idea was to write ten fluff fics. At first, I wanted to use only ShinRan, but then I decided to participate generally with Detective Conan since there are so many pairings I like. Well, it didn’t go very well: I got four of them written, and only one of those I published. To be honest, I have no idea what happened. But when I started to share my fics on Tumblr, I thought that I shouldn’t let them go in vain, so I decided that maybe with time, I should translate them and share them with you! Though this one has been ready for a long time, I have just waited until Kudo Day ^^’
But yeah, this is the third of those four fics that I wrote in Finnish for that challenge. The first one was Eternal Flame and the second one was Can I have this Dance. But even though this isn’t ShinRan, I hope you like this ❤
Our greatest Masterpiece
Summer started to move beside and fall slowly took over parks in Tokyo. Leaves and bushes lose their green colors and change into yellow, orange, or red ones. The wind started to be a little bit colder, but somehow it felt refreshing. And yet, the afternoon sun made the scenery very bright and beautiful. Looking at how leaves one by one lose their grips from the branches and make them hover around… It somehow looked beautiful, even romantic.
Under the big-brimmed hat, the woman admired the scenery through her sunglasses. On her red lips rested a dreamy smile. The view became more and more romantic when she observed those young couples who walked through the park hand in hand, parents in each other’s arms looking after their little children, and those older ones who had seen many things during their lives, just sitting there peacefully side by side, enjoying the day and each other warmth.
Maybe someday she and…
She felt how the baby stroller moved a little bit. Her eyes moved to look into the stroller where a little, well-dressed five months old boy moved a little bit before continuing his peaceful sleeping. That loving smile that had lost for a moment, came back on her lips when she observed her beautiful little offspring. Yukiko was actually a little surprised that her curious son had been patient enough to close his eyes to take a little daydream. Shinichi has a very calm nature, but curiosity? He got more than enough. Seeing the sky or his parents’ faces wasn’t enough anymore. At home, everything, that Shinichi couldn’t get close enough, interested him very much. He had already learned to turn from back to stomach and back and was dangerously fast learning how to crawl. Yukiko was already worried about what would happen when that boy learned to move on his own.
Yukiko bent a little to stroke the boy’s cheek with her fingers. She needed all her willpower so she wouldn’t take that sleeping child into her arms just that she could press his cheek against hers and yell to the world how little and cute and beautiful her little one was! Oh, she was so proud of her son! She wanted so much to stop everyone she met only to show them her little Shin-chan! She wanted too much to take him into her arms, squeeze him into a gentle hug, drown him in kisses, and babble about how loved he was.
But she didn’t dare to do it. The boy had finally closed his eyes and fallen asleep, and that was an achievement in itself. Instead of sleeping, Shinichi was much more interested to examine and learn about the world around him. He wanted to touch and taste everything that he saw and could grab with his little fingers. Whatever his parents were doing, those bright blue eyes were glued to them. He wanted to see, wanted to know, and if they didn’t show him, he let out a scream only to get their attention, to make them show him what they were doing or what they were holding.
“Ah, you have got Shinichi to sleep?”
Yukiko took away her hand before ripping her eyes away from the boy. She turned to look at the young, dark-haired man who walked closer to her in his long, light brown jacket. Both of his hands were in his pockets, and on his armpit was some kind of book, whose name Yukiko couldn’t see. She met his dark eyes and felt so happy that her husband was finally back.
“Yu-chan!” she shouted shrilly, maybe more loud than she meant to. Fast she covered her mouth with a hand and glanced at the boy, but Shinichi seemed still sleeping without caring about a loud sound. With relief, she let her hand drop and turned back to look at her husband. “What took you so long?” she asked and decided to roast him a little bit. “I started to believe that you had abandoned me already!”
A man let out a soft laugh. He took his left arm away from the pocket and wrapped it around Yukiko, making her come a little closer. Yukiko leaned against him, feeling how Yusaku’s hand went to rest on her waist. “Why would I abandon my beautiful wife and little son?”
Yukiko felt a blush on her cheeks but decided to still be a little offended. “How do I know if some unlucky young, beautiful girl has taken you with her.”
Yusaku let out a laugh, making Yukiko look at him. “But how is that possible?” he asked with a smile and dark eyes met her. “I already got Japanese youngest and the most beautiful wife.” Yukiko felt her cheeks burning more when the man came a little closer his eyes twinkling. “No one can’t beat you.”
His lips touched Yukiko’s reddish cheek. Yukiko smiled. She turned her face a little bit, enough that she could press her lips against Yusaku’s and exchange a loving kiss. She grabbed the back of his jacket, ensuring he couldn’t leave – like he was even doing that.
Then they moved away from the kiss and pressed their foreheads against each other. Yukiko opened her eyes, looking straight into those familiar, dark ones. She wouldn’t ever get tired of looking at them…
“You know I love you?”
She felt how her heart made a somersault. She let go of his jacket and raised her hand to touch his cheek to stroke it. “Love you too”, she answered gently before leaning a little closer to steal one kiss, then another…
A little sound from the baby made them move away from each other. Both of them looked in the baby stroller where their little offspring made sounds at the same time while he was moving. For a while, he looked like searching for a better position to be before stopping and calming down. Both parents waited for a while, but when the boy didn’t open his eyes, Yusaku moved a little bit away from his wife.
“We should probably continue our walk”, he said, taking that book from his right armpit. Yukiko tried to see the name of it while Yusaku looked at the clock on his left wrist. “I have a feeling that Shinichi is going to wake up soon and be hungry.”
“Probably”, Yukiko answered and observed how Yusaku put the book into the stroller beside Shinichi’s little feet. For fast she could see the name of the book and the author before Shinichi moved his feet and hid part of it. “Is that your new book?” she asked and turned to look at her husband who was looking at their son with a soft expression. “I didn’t know they were printing it already!”
“That was only a specimen”, he answered a little absently before he straightened himself and looked at his wife with a smile. “However, they said it would be ready to be sold after two weeks.”
Yukiko’s smile widened. “That’s wonderful, Yu-chan!” she chirped happily and pressed a new kiss on his cheek. “It’s going to be your greatest masterpiece!”
“No, it won’t”, Yusaku answered, making Yukiko’s smile disappear. Yet, the man smiled and pressed a kiss on her lips before turning to look at their son. “Mine… No, our greatest masterpiece exists already.”
Yukiko stared at him for a moment before following his gaze to the baby stroller. For a moment she stared at sleeping Shinichi before she started to smile gently, feeling love, happiness, and pride. Then she let out a laugh and pressed closer into Yusaku’s arms. “You’re right”, she agreed. “He definitely is.”

did you delete your shinran future post? i liked it so i could read it later and now i can't find it anymore
hey!! yes I did -- for reasons that end up boiling down to not liking how I worded things and making it all seem much more uhhhh negative then I intended to. Sorry about that!
I've been thinking these past few days and if you still wanna know what I WANTED to say but hopefully better worded here you go. Also sorry for any spelling/typos I'm actually on my computer for once so I dont have autocorrect to save my ass. <- can never remember how to do the cut thing on mobile
I think in real life ShinRan would not work out. I want to emphasize in real life, because ShinRan is my favourite ship (despite my occasional dabbeling in Heijshin) and I love them and I want them to work out and this is, at the end of a day, a story about them and their life and how much Shinichi loves her. I do actually consider the manga a lovestory first and foremost, because Shinichis main motivation is to return to Ran and to live a happy normal life with her -- normal crossed out because I doubt they'd ever be able to live a normal life, but you get what I mean.
In univerese I imagine they'd work out similarly to Yusako and Yukiko, where yeah there's a case every other day, but they still get to spend enough time together to make up for Shinichi having to get up during dinner to safe the day or whatever. Shinichi actually returning to his life as Shinichi and a potential reveal where Ran realises that huh he never actually did leave her alone and had good, legitimate reasons for his "absence" -- that would probably really work in their favour. If he actually gets his shit together and works with her/lets her tag along (in case he ends up being a detective like her dad) that'd be a hugeee plus (bodyguard ran :sideeye:).
If he ends up going the police route with a semi regular (???) work schedule and a DUTY to leave, even during, perhaps, dates or whatever, I think Ran could cope with that as well, knowing how her dad used to have to leave her mum and her admiration (?) for the policemen/women in her life (<- so long he doesnt go down the Furuya route and/or joins one of the many, many organisations that would probably beg him for help once the BO is taken down. Like I think Ran would probably be over the whole spy/really dangerous people are after my life all the time thing and straight up beat him up if he tried to.)
In real life though I only see too real possibilties: either Ran gets tired of having to wait for him all the time, before the reveal even happens, (which has,,,sorta?? happened in canon already?? like its a joke at this point, and she does have the patience of a saint but lets be real) -- a girl can only take so much, and having to watch her sit around and wait for him all the time hurts even as a fan. Like at some point she'd be fed up with his shit or, if she somehow managed to hang on, Sonoko'd be fed up with his shit.
Like someone in her life would go: you know what? screw this and make her move on and they'd be right to do it too. Again, love Shinichi, like that's my special guy and whatever, but I don't think Ran, or anyone for that matter, could be happy in a relationship like that. Option two is...well...unlikely to say the least becuase, lets say the reveal does happen before she calls it quits and the BO gets taken down and Shinichi gets the therapy he needs -- unless he stops working as a detective, I honestly don't see them working out.
Finding out that your childhood best friend and boyfriend almost died, multiple times all while trying to protect you and lying to your face over and over again to do that is STILL putting himself in danger again and again??? I don't think Ran would like realistically be able to sleep every time he'd be out solving cases or whatever. And I dont think Shinichi would let her come along either because his main motivation is to protect her and she's already gotten in danger during "normal" cases before. AND SHE WOULDNT WANT TO KEEP WAITING.
So. Either he quits (which I don't see happening, not for lack of trying on his part but rather his ability to attract danger and also his sense of justice wouldn't let him I think) or they call it quits for their own sakes.
But this isn't real life so idc shinran on top lmao in my head they get married and live happily ever after

Ship Bingo
@salmoncaughtbyacrow
Matsuda x Hagi
Answered here!
2. Kaito x Shinichi
Tumblr media
I've read a lot of fics with background KaiShin, and now I'm in love with them. And don't get me wrong, I still want ShinRan to be endgame, but I would also not complain if we got KaiShin endgame instead (which I have zero faith will happen, but...)
3. Kaito x Hakuba
Tumblr media
I'll admit I haven't kept up as much with Magic Kaito, plus it's been forever since we've even seen Hakuba in either franchise, so I can't form much of an opinion on this ship. Looking at Hakuba's character page though, I will say that the rivals/enemies-to-lovers aspect automatically piques my interest.
4. Scotch x Akai
Tumblr media
Honestly, all of the Whiskey Trio are just so shippable with each other (just in case it wasn't obvious who my OT3 is lol).
But seriously, Scotch and Akai together would just be so amazing and tragic and I need more of it.
5. Shiho x Ayumi
Tumblr media
I can definitely see Ayumi having a crush on Shiho/Haibara, but honestly, I couldn't really see Shiho returning her feelings. If anything, I feel like she would see Ayumi as a little sister more than anything especially since she's like 12-13 years younger than Shiho. She probably feels like she's helped raise Ayumi in a way.
6. Gin x Akai
Tumblr media
Don't get me wrong, I definitely see why people would ship Gin x Akai, it's just...never really been something that appeals to me? Honestly, I don't really have a reason; I guess it's just one of those things.
It would make for some pretty funny crackfic content though.
7. Toichi x Yusaku
Tumblr media
Toichi x Yusaku is essentially just the previous generation's Kaito x Shinichi, right? So they're automatically cool in my book.
(I really need to rewatch some of the older episodes again.)
8. Akako x Aoko
Tumblr media
Once again, I don't know too much about either of these characters, but reading about them on the DCMK wiki...again, enemies-to-lovers will always be a winner in my book. Plus if they were to get together, their personalities would make every interaction very entertaining.
9. Chikage x Toichi
Tumblr media
Again, I don't know much about these characters, but I can see why they ended up falling for each other. I can imagine Chikage and Toichi being the ultimate dynamic duo.
10. Yukiko x Yusaku
Tumblr media
Honestly, I feel like we don't really see enough about Yukiko and Yusaku's relationship to get a good picture of it, but from what they do show us, it does seem like they're genuinely happy together.
It would be nice if they were better parents, but that's a post for another time.
Thanks for sending these in!

A weird shinran ficlet idea I’ve been playing around with;
Say Vermouth was a little more ruthless, but still fiercely protective over Shinichi and Ran. She thinks Japan will never be safe for Shinichi, he’s made an enemy of its most powerful man after all, but of course she knows Shinichi would never leave Ran, and she’d rather keep watch over Ran anyway. So she spirits them away, somehow erasing their memories in the process (enforced amnesia? another weird drug? clearly, When Pandora’s Box is Opened is still on my mind).
In her mind, it doesn’t matter that they’d be leaving their families, that she’d be taking Shinichi away from her dear friend Yukiko, as long as they have each other, they’d be fine, and they’re her favorites after all.
In the grand scheme of things, the disappearance of two high school sweethearts probably doesn’t mean much, even if one of them happened to be famous. Others whisper, they probably eloped or something. But the ones who know the truth are shattered. Yukiko and Yuusaku at least know that Vermouth would never kill Shinichi, but Kogorou and Eri don’t even have that comfort. Sonoko breaks down. Haibara blames herself. Intelligence agencies from three countries: UK, US, and Japan mobilize to find them, and for once Yuusaku’s calm fails him, since despite all his brilliance, he still can’t find them. Vermouth’s a master of disguise after all, and with no more ties to the organization, she’s like a ghost.
Five years pass by just like that. Kaitou Kid happened to be doing a heist in New York, but is apparently foiled by a rookie cop in the force, someone who saw through his every trick, and an intense feeling of de ja vu overwhelms him. So he does a little bit of investigating.
Osakan police detective Hattori Heiji suddenly finds one day, a picture on his desk. The moment he sees it, he collapses on his chair. There’s no note or name indicating who it’s from, just an address on the back, in New York. He doesn’t get to the airport fast enough, doesn’t even go home to pack or anything. He can’t risk bringing Kazuha, because what if it’s just nothing...
He does have the presence of mind to try to contact as many people involved in the five year-long search effort, but he gets there first.
He can’t even knock. But the door opens, and it reveals a handsome Japanese couple. A bit older, with lines on their faces, but still the same face of his best friend and the woman he loves. For Heiji, it’s like seeing ghosts. But what’s worse is the lack of recognition on either of their faces. In an instant, he notices the confused politeness, the bands on both ring fingers, and a toddler’s cry from the inside.
The man asks for his name. Voice strangled, he introduces himself as Hattori Heiji from the Osakan Police Force. Thinking on his feet and remembering the news a while back, he comes up with a bogus story of a case he’d been handling crossing over the NYPD’s jurisdiction, that of a certain Japanese phantom thief. He’d been told to go here, to one of their best detectives, to discuss the case. Heiji surprises himself. He’d always sucked at lying in the past.
The sheepish gestures were still the same. Heiji thinks he might actually cry. The woman has now picked up the crying toddler and is rocking him to sleep. The man motions for the child, ‘I’ll take care of Conan. You go on ahead. Isn’t the audition for that Broadway musical today?’
Conan. Of course that would be his name. Heiji laughs a hysterical laugh or else he really would cry.
The couple looks at him strangely, but the man nonetheless introduces himself and his wife. Heiji wants to shout. Why are you introducing yourself? I know you, the both of you. You’re my best friend! Do you know how long we’ve been looking? But he holds it in. He made it this far, he won’t break now.
‘This is Rachel. I’m Jimmy. Jimmy Vineyard. It’s nice to meet you Detective Hattori.’

do you think yukiko is a shinran or coai? And do you think the ending will be depressing or happy? I hope for a happy ending between the two lovebirds (Shinran)
Oh, my girl Yukiko is the vice president of the ShinRan fan club (Sonoko is the president). I mean, she referred to Ran as her future daughter-in-law. And do you remember how happy she was when she found out about the kiss in Kyoto? She must already be making preparations for the wedding.
Yukiko is a playful person, who loves to annoy her son, and even more if it is about girls and romance, but it doesn't come out of that, and I don't think she has a special preference for someone other than Ran. It is evident that Yukiko empathizes with Haibara's situation, she knows that she is someone who has suffered and needs protection, and she knows that her son, who is close to her, can give it to her. But the only great ship of her is ShinRan (i mean, she teases him with Ran since they were kids!).
On the other hand, you can be sure that Shinichi and Ran will have a happy ending. Gosho already said there would be a happy ending and he is ShinRan's biggest shipper. I think the question is when will we see this ending, considering the current pace of the manga.

Detective Conan : Next Generation
Tumblr media
HeiZuha Children
It’s been over three years and my DC headcanons for the ‘Next Generation’returned,so... I have to many headcanons for DC Characters as parents and their kids.. Always excited to hear other dc headcanons by the way <3 “Come on ! Just reply already...”, she sighed as none of her childhood friends seemed to have time to look up their chat group. Feeling defeated Yume hid her phone under her pillow and went for a walk in the neighborhood since there was nothing else to do. It took Yume only some minutes to realize that it was way too hot outside. But the summers in Osaka were always like that. Sadly. I feel like I’m melting... Maybe I should pay Kazuki a visit..? Knowing her older brother he is probably at the school gym perfecting his kendo skills..not that there was any serious competition for the reigning ace of Osaka’s strongest high school kendo team. Why must life be so unfair ? If there was one thing Yume Hattori didn’t inherited from her family it was definitely their astonishing atlethic abilities. She wouldn’t be so mad, if she could at least perform the basics of aikido or kendo, but no.. she was a hopeless case. Honoka is most likely with him anyway.. Without wasting a second thought on it, Yume headed back to her home and tried not to look as if she was dying while feeling the humid air basically punch her whole body. These two.. Being already quite popular in middle school it took not long before one of Kazuki’s friends introduced him to Honoka Ujo, a new student that would not only go to the same class as him, but also live right in his neighborhood.
“Finally..”, out of breath Yume striped off her shoes and welcomed the refreshing temperature inside the house. “Is that you, Yume ?” “..Ah, Obaa-chan you’re already back from your visit to the museum ?” Preparing something in the kitchen her grandma looked effortless as always. “I am...Although I was invited to a round of cards by some other members of my book club, but then I thought I also could keep you company instead, so here I am.. “, responded Shizuka Hattori with a warm smile on her lips. Oh dear..am I that pitiful ? Sure it wasn’t unusual for Yume to be the only one at home while everyone else was at work or in her grandma and brother’s case out with friends. If her whole friend group would not live in Tokyo things would be quite different. Also if her stubborn dad and grandpas would allow her to help solve murder ca- There was no point in getting mad over that right now. “I appreciate the thought Obaa-chan ~ I’m just going to change my clothes quickly !” “Damnit..”, she whispered when see saw that nobody replied to her message. Think Yume, think... Alright, this could work ! Realizing what time it already was, she hastily picked a summer dress her grandma would approve of ,put it on and packed a small bag. Making sure that she has not forgotten anything, Yume joined her grandma in the kitchen who was unlike her not slightly out of breath. “ Change of plans, Obaa-chan ! Takumi invited me to spend the weekend in Tokyo, so let’s just pack this here”, she announced while packing the fruit sandwiches in some wooden lunchboxes “ And then I can accompany you to Iwasa-san on my way to the train station. She and the other members will surely be delighted by your tasteful treats ~”
“It’s not safe to ride a train by yourself, Yume. I would feel much better if you would let Kazuki go with you..”, her grandma explained while they were already on their way to Iwasa’s home right across the Osaka Station. “Don’t worry, Obaa-chan~ It’s not a long ride and you can reach me by phone any time !” Shizuka Hattori still wasn’t fully convinced. “Maybe I should check in with your parents before letting you go” Crap...No..Arghh.. I don’t have time for that..there has to be something else I can argue wi- There were times were life did treat Yume quite well. Reaching the Iwasa household they were welcomed by Daisuke Otaki who was about to leave. As expected of Daisuke Otaki he not only politely greeted them, but also brought their lunchboxes to the dining room. “Domo arigato Daisuke-kun”, replied Yume’s grandmother while sliding into her slippers from home as the young man was about to leave for real now. Now or never ! “Say Daisuke-kun you wouldn’t mind if we went to Tokyo together ,now would you ? I mean you probably are on your way there for your weekly ‘business meetings’ anyway so..” There was nothing in the way of Yume’s trip to Tokyo now. Because of his uncle Goro Otaki her companion was a family friend, so her grandma would certainly agree of the idea. And there was no way Daisuke could talk himself out of the situation. He was way too afraid that Yume would expose his secret regarding his weekly ‘business meetings’, not that she would ever really do that, but he didn’t want to take any risk. As soon as they sat done Yume reached into her bag and fished out her phone. Still nothing. After writing a second message announcing her suprise visit, she called Takumi to make sure he knew about his part in her plan. It took a while before Yume got hold of him. “I’m really sorry for not answering sooner, but Obaa-chan dragged me to a casting for a commercial and it’s been-” “Don’t worry about it ! ....Please don’t be mad, but I may be on my way to Tokyo right now and might have indicated that you have invited me there for the weekend..” “...” “ I already informed Hikaru and Mamoru over our chat group about my visit, they will surely read it ...sooner or later, but just so you know if you or your parents would get a call from someone of my family..” “Which will be definitely the case” “ Yeah..I don’t know why they are recently so overprotective..” “It’s not like our families attract dead bodies or serial killers..” A small giggle escaped Daisuke’s mouth who was reading a magazin. Yume couldn’t hold back a smile herself. “Totally not..So, see you in Tokyo ?” “You’re lucky that I have such a big heart ~ I will try to call Hikaru later - OHH..Obaa-chan looks mad..Have to go- !”
Finishing her book it just came in handy that they reached their destination. “Arigato Daisuke-kun for helping me out today”, said Yume as they walked out of the train station. Daisuke just waved aside her gratitude. He probably feels like I used him..which I technically kind of did “It’s nothing, glad I could help you”, he replied politely . “Your friends will pick you up soon ?” Yume nodded and tried to think about something that she could say that would make Daisuke less mad at her. But before Yume could even blink, Daisuke said goodbye and disappeared in the crowd. That went well.. She quickly wrote her grandma a message that she arrived in Tokyo and put her phone back in her bag. With a big smile on her face Yume dived into the ocean of people. This is going to be such a fun weekend ! Yume couldn’t know at that time that this weekend would be special...
