CHAPTER PREMISE — you didn’t expect to be dragged into a mess when you made friends with a certain red headed girl, a simple interview day somehow turned to a chaotic mess.

SERIES PREMISE — after a mysterious death, you find yourself being reborn as an actor's daughter. everything seems to be smooth-sailing in this life before you came across a strange star eyed boy during your junior year in high school. this strange yet fortune encounter leads to a spiral of love yet grief.

"grades aren't everything-"

Your parents' voice was zoned out as your eyes stared at your report book, your smile faltered as you noticed your grades have been going down and down. What was the point in trying if your grades would always stay so low no matter how much you tried? You were always convinced that you are just like your brother, smart and the best at everything so why does this sheet of paper differ from what you heard throughout your life? Why were you third in your class, you have always been at the top so why are you dropping all of a sudden? You still remembered clearly, the two classmates snickering and smirking at you proudly showing off their grades. They…don't deserve it, your teeth were gritted as you walked home.

Why was it them who were at the top? None of their work was as good as yours, their grammar and sentence structure needed work… right? Oh, how you hated their grins, you could tell by their faces that they knew you hated losing especially coming in third place but they also knew that you suspected them of using their parent's money to bribe the school. What kind of school is this? Letting people bribe the school staff just so they could be at the top? What a bunch of spoiled-

"Hinomori, are you alright?"

A voice snapped you out of your train of thought, you took a deep breath before looking over to your new friend and potential classmate. (name) hinomori was the new identity you yield after the incident, that grin that they had on their face… It reminded you of your classmates. You haven't told anyone about your reincarnation, your family not your group mates after all they'll most likely call you crazy or just laugh it off thinking it was a joke. Reincarnation… was a silly thing if you had to be honest, perhaps the fate you suffered from really was a cruel one? You plastered on a reassuring smile and looked at the red-haired girl.

"Mhm just slightly nervous about the interview that's all, but you do know you could call me by my first name.. Kana."

"Y-yeah, I know I'm just not used to it that's all! I am a big fan of your work too…"

Kana exclaimed while whispering the last part which you slightly laughed at before Kana was called to the interview room. Yota high school was one of the few schools which had a performing arts program, though it was only eligible to people affiliated with a company it did make you feel grateful you and your friends were scouted not long ago by SEKAI productions due to their recent project wanting groups with different personalities to make a debut under their name yet the company was far from sketchy. All the staff and idols were always welcoming to new debuts, even going as far as a small party.

You looked out the window as you waited your turn, it disappointed you that none of the other members of A✩𝖱𝖠 came to this school so sadly you were alone in this school… You sighed before hearing your name being called out by one of the interviewers, Kana gave you a confident smile and a thumbs up wishing you good luck. You smiled and gave her a quick wink as you walked into the performing arts room, you shouldn't show any signs of fear or hesitation that was one of the things your parents taught you whenever they made you go for auditions.

"I'm (name) Hinomori, affiliated with SEKAI Productions."

As you walked out of the interview room, you breathed a sigh of relief. Perhaps you should ask Airi to make the choreography a little easier later, though you knew you most likely aced the interview judging by the interviewer's faces alone. You sighed as you walked the empty hallways,though you were rather happy about being born into such a successful life it still sort of upsets you when you had to attend high school again after all your senior year was where your grades started going downhill…

“WHAT THE HECK!!?!”

Kana’s shrieking could be heard from further down the hall way. Yet when you reached there you saw Kana along with two other people who you don’t reconsider, but judging by Kana’s face they might be her friends..?

“I’LL BULLY YOU, I REALLY WIL-“

“Kana, there you are!”

You exclaimed walking up to the trio, while the blonde boy seemed to be confused on who you are yet the girl who you assumed to be his sister seems to be starstrucked? Their eyes… were pretty. That was the first thing that came to your mind as you got a better view of how they look, you snapped out of your thoughts before looking back at Kana.

“I didn’t want to be the crying girl’s junior but if it means that Hinomori could be my senior, I’ll gladly endure her whining!”

“Hey I got ears, ya’know!”

You muffled a giggle as you watched the two argue, was the brother too used to this type of situation? It looked like the two weren’t going to stop arguing anytime soon, you sighed and looked at the blonde boy who seemed rather deep in thought.

“Wait, have you worked with Gotanda Taishi before? I think I saw you once in his films…”

You looked up with them and nervously smiled, even when your parents were actors somehow… it didn’t suit right you or perhaps it made you slightly cringed whenever you watched clips of yourself acting though it was most likely the latter if you had to be honest, yet even when you told your parents about your decision to quit acting they weren��t upset. Sure, in their eyes there was disappointment but it held approval as well perhaps because you made your own choice of career paths at a young age?

“I haven’t heard that name in a while… but yeah I did. Why’d you ask?”

He shrugged his shoulders, after all what was he meant to say? That the director, his boss, used one of your quotes that you had said on tv once to try and motivate him? Of course not, scaring you wasn’t his goal and he was pretty sure Ruby might kill him if he tries and scare you away from them.

“Well, see ya, I’m heading over to the director’s place.”

Somehow, you felt it was directed to you yet it caught Kana’s attention, immediately breaking away from her and Ruby’s petty fight though could it really be considered a fight? “Wait where do you think your going!” Kana shouted running after Aqua, taking your hand and following him. Oh god, what have you dragged yourself into now?

Yotasuke could not believe he had let Yatora and Murai convince him to come to this party. The party was loud and a lot of people were drinking, he wanted to be anywhere but here. 

“Yota? Oh my god!” Your voice rang out throughout the entire party, he spotted you from across the house with a can of your favorite drink in hand. Worming your way through the swarm of art students you practically tackled him in a hug. “I can’t believe you came!” 

He could smell the alcohol on your breath but it wasn’t too overwhelming so he knew you hadn’t had too much that would inebriate you. “Yatora made me come.” Softly admitting the reason he was here you lead him to a couch in a more quiet area. 

“I’m glad you are here, Murai is good fun but he starts to strip and then it gets too much.” Letting out a huff you leaned into the soft cushions. Yotasuke actually enjoyed your company, you took the time to get to know him and talk to him. “How are classes going?” 

Rarely did you bring up art with him, he had opened up to you about his struggles with the subject and how he really didn’t like it and you never questioned him on it, you just accepted it and rolled with talking with him. “They are fine. How are yours?” He sat listening to you rant about your projects and your professors, how you hated that the days were getting longer and longer the more exams were coming up. 

Soon, the house got quieter as everyone moved outside to do more drinking and hop in the pool. The two of you were left alone in the living room. “Yotasuke, have you ever kissed anyone?” Instantly his face was flushed bright red as his blood rushed to the skin. Why would you ask a question about that? That is inappropriate. “Is that a no?” You tilted your head to the right as you studied him. 

“N-no I have not kissed anyone.” Stuttering he clasped his hands in his lap trying to distract himself. 

Suddenly your lips brushed against his ear. “You’re too pretty to not kiss anyone before Yota. Would you like a kiss?” Staying still he only gave a short nod, he had a crush on you of course; you were the only woman he could really stand. 

With wide eyes he watched as you crawled into his lap and pinned him to the couch, your moves were not forceful he could pull away at any moment if he wanted. He made no moves as you leaned in close to his face; your lips were soft as they made contact with his lips, your chapstick spreading onto him. 

You started to pull away but instinctively followed your movements wanting more, now that he had it, he wanted to be selfish and take all of you. Taking his hint, you crashed your lips against his. Your bodies melding into one as his lithe fingers dug into your shirt, your fingers were buried in his hair as he messily kissed you back.

He could hear his heart pounding in his ears; was he doing this right? Were you enjoying yourself? He got the answer to his question as your tongue made its way into his mouth, he let you in and hung on for dear life as you explored his mouth. He gently moved his tongue to brush against yours and the jolt of pleasure that rocked his body made him groan into your mouth. 

You pulled away and smiled as the two of you panted in unison. “How was your first kiss Yota?” Your voice was soft and gentle, he wanted to beg for more but the two of you heard Yatora speaking as people moved to come into the room. You quickly parted and sat next to him. 

This was a secret for the two of you for now.

history: a thousand years ago, lord karlon stark, youngest son of winterfell, ventured to the east of the land of always winter to put down a rebel lord. upon victory, he was rewarded for his success and bravery with the keep of karl's hold on the grey cliffs, which later went on to become karhold, and karhold starks became karstarks. thus, the karstarks and starks of winterfell remain close kin to this very day. in the thick darkness of the forests whilst putting down the rebel lord, where karlon stark found himself hanging onto his life by a thread, a beam of winter sun shot through the branches and illuminated his sword when he thought it lost to the dirt. it was this that allowed karlon stark to get back on his feet. local tongue/dialect: the sun tongue (finnish) religion of local folk: the old gods of the forest, with the added element of the sun being a form of the old gods. the smallfolk pray to the sun as well as the old gods of the forest and perform dances around crackling hearths. traditional foods: hearty vegetable soups, meat stews based in beef, pork, duck, reindeer, salmon and whitefish, with flavours made from local berries and herbs such as cloudberry. common smallfolk jobs: reindeer herders, fishermen, woodcutters, dog sledders/breeders, farmers, tailors, weavers, candlemakers

- 'the sky is dancing' is reference to the northern lights, where the sky taints green. it is seen as a good omen, and a sign the gods are happy with their people.

- "we are kin, stark and karstark" they are take their family in winterfell very seriously - it is not used to brag for being related to the starks, but an oath of loyalty. you come for the starks, the karstarks will come for you.

- people say a prayer in the sun tongue upon sunrise, or when they arise to thank the gods for the sun gracing them; there is a deep appreciation and love for the winter sun.

- karstark men and women hunt alike, and hunt for their own prey. it is common for them to be the ones to bring back the food regularly, along with large hunting parties, for the household's food supply.

- upon reaching six months, it is seen as customary for a baby of house karstark to be upon a sled pulled by a reindeer for the smallfolk to see them, seated with their father and mother. it is not done before then, as it is very very cold and the baby cannot risk being sick.

special days:

seitseman yota: celebrated roughly seven weeks ahead of the approximate harvest being picked. it is traditionally a day of full sledge riding, with the belief that the further you ride with your sleigh not getting stuck, the better the year’s crops will be. there is also a competition for who can make the most sour berry jam. 

sadonkorjuun aatto: the eve before the harvest is to be picked, those who practice old ancient magic bless the crops before the sun rises again. here, they are accompanied by their female relatives who are children; also dressed in white furs. they offer a prayer for your crops, believed to be magic, pulling on the power of the sun - in exchange for a fruit of some sort. 

The idea that Sirius and James if one dint go to askaban and the other survived for another 2 decades respectively would have totally become better people and gotten over their bullshit and would even fell ashamed by it sounds good until you look at Pedigrew and Lupin for even a second and consider their journey , THEY had the chance but dint change a yota after all , u could even say that they actually became worse versions of what they were back then . Lupin never stoped running until the end of his life (or close to it since he does get convinced to return to Tonks ) and tried to never take responsibility for his actions until the end , calling Snape "Severus" from the start like they were friends and what happened between them never happend , and not showing any reaction to the prank being mentioned like it dint regard him , running out of Hogwarts after what he pulled in the shack and finally running out on tonks and his baby which is probably the worst of all ,( and he was the better one among them supposedly he was also the only one that became a functioning adult and yet it dint change him did it ? ) . And for Pedigrew I really hope he got worse with time because if that how he always was there is really no turning back from that , after all he is the ONLY character we actually see actually killing a kid until the final battle , and he does it smiling and without plinking once ! All after living like a parasite inside the house of other people creeping on their kids for YEARS when he could have just left the country .

The cat brothers play a(n aggressive) game of catch together. It's even cuter when you recall they aren't even actually related, Yota just took Guta in as his otoutobun/sworn brother.

Yota might be a lazy crook (okay, he definitely is), harsh and mean, and a bad influence (welcome to the life of crime, Guta!) for sure, but he genuinely loves kids and it's endearing.

Hi Yota (your url is bliss btw i love it), i’m not gonna lie, you’re ask definitely made me tear up a lil bit. I’m so glad but also so confused that my blog can have this affect in someone’s life. I know that studies, or even just life in general, can get crazy and everything feels out of your control. That’s the most draining feeling ever and it can quickly make you want to just give up.

I didn’t realise so many others have had to struggle with this kind of thing so i really appreciate that you took the time and energy to send me this!!! Statement #1:The ending of Wrestlemania XL was satisfying. FACT - While the layout of the match got to the point of borderline parody, as I haven't seen so many run-ins during a title match since Jeff Jarrett's reign of terror in TNA, the end result was the right call - and got even better once Bloodline stans started losing their shit on Twitter ever since

Statement #2: It was wrong for AEW to air the footage of the All In backstage fight. FICTION - While it wasn't wrong to show it, what was wrong was when and where they showed it: if AEW aired the footage immediately after Punk was fired from the company then there would have been little complaint but, more importantly, a lot less battle lines as the argument would have just been between AEW fans and Punk fans, and it is certainly true that AEW had the right to reply after Punk went on Ariel Helwani's podcast and decided to be a Gideon Falter about the situation - but the right to reply should not have aired on Dynamite, instead have been handled with some degree of distance between the footage and AEW's production with the most obvious suggestion being on a podcast (and, no, I don't mean AEW Unrestricted nor Talk is Jericho) so that AEW got to tell their side and it didn't interfere with their booking, not least because by that point the battle lines had been redrawn significantly with WWE fans being added to the mix alongside people who clearly know eff all about data protection laws chiming in

Statement #3: The Rock will not wrestle again until Wrestlemania 41. FICTION - There's two ways to look at this: the most obvious suggestion is he'll wrestle at the next Saudi show on the slate, though given that takes place in May it can be argued that he shouldn't as that's too soon after WM (but Bonesaw McGraw probably won't be interested in things like facts, logic, or that people know what sportswashing is) but it's more likely that SummerSlam has him feature given he won't be busy promoting films - which he would be around Survivor Series time as Moana 2 is slated for that period

Statement #4: Will Ospreay was wrong to respond to HHH’s comment about wrestlers not wanting to come to WWE because of the grind. FICTION - Even if the shot wasn't aimed at Ospreay specifically, though given HHH's track record of being a salty bitch in interviews and press conferences it's highly likely it was, he deserved the clapback anyway considering how idealising "the grind" is such a back asswards mindset anyway because work/life balance is more important than flogging yourself to death for the benefit of shareholders while getting no benefit to yourself, as evidenced by Seth Rollins' experience of the grind being the sound coming from his leg as he worked both nights of WM with a torn meniscus

Statement #5: You are excited for Jon Moxley’s run as IWGP World Heavyweight Champion in New Japan. FACT - While it's true to say that NJPW's product has not been hot for a good 2-3 years and their headline scene in particular has suffered due to a choice of poor champions (Sanada), champions not getting the credit they so obviously earned (Shingo), dull challengers (EVIL), or champions who were past their peak (Naito) the headline scene needed freshening up with someone who can carry the banner until it's time for Yota Tsuji, Shota Umino and Ren Narita to step up, and I am genuinely curious to see Mox in the role as the steward waiting for the moment where somebody gets their big moment

Statement #6: You are excited for Jon Moxley’s run as IWGP World Heavyweight Champion in New Japan. FACT - After the epileptic days of Kevin Dunn's production it was a breath of fresh air to see some smooth camera work, even if on occasion they were used in bad places so you had things like the camera was mooching around trying to be Sam Raimi but you couldn't actually follow the action in the ring...and then, like everything, it became ammo in the usual wrestling culture war drivel so now people online are trying to gatekeep shot composition saying that only WWE are allowed to use these shots as they invented them - which is certainly news to people who've watched NJPW for any length of time

Destruction in Ryogoku preview

SANADA vs. EVIL - Sanada is defending the IWGP world heavyweight title. The winner of this bout will presumably go on to defend against Tetsuya Naito in the Tokyo Dome on January 4. This is a lumberjack match, so wrestlers will surround the ringside area, to make sure both participants stay in the ring. The assigned lumberjacks are all members of Sanada's faction Just 5 Guys and Evil's faction House of Torture.

This is a rematch from August 10, when Evil handed Sanada his only defeat in the G1 Climax tournament, eliminating him in the quarterfinals. On August 13, Evil attacked Sanada after a tag match, handcuffed him to the ring rope, and stole the world title belt. It was later confirmed that Sanada had been coping with a partial bicep tear throughout that tour; I'm not convinced he's taken enough time to heal it properly.

When Sanada proposed lumberjack rules, the stipulation seemed to favor him, since his Just 5 Guys outnumbered House of Torture five to four. However, on September 24 Yoshinobu Kanemaru switched sides. So now Evil has SHO, Dick Togo, Yujiro Takahashi, and Kanemaru at ringside, ready to clobber Sanada. If that happens, Taichi, DOUKI, and TAKA Michinoku won't be enough backup for the champ. However, J5G is supposed to be revealing a new fifth guy in the opening match, so we'll see if he can level the playing field.

The ongoing story of Sanada's title reign is that it's been a disappointment, because his challengers have either been too scrawny (Hiromu Takahashi, Jack Perry) or too inexperienced (Yota Tsuji). In kayfabe, the doom and gloom this time is that Evil is bound to cheat his way to a victory and ruin the main event of the Tokyo Dome, because Sanada isn't good enough to stop him. In real life, the doom and gloom is that this match is going to suck ass, on purpose, and waste everybody's time. Evil will pull every cheap trick in the book, and I'm supposed to get angry but I just end up bored every time. If Sanada is a disappointing world champion, the booking team has only themselves to blame.

I absolutely think Sanada will retain the title and go on to face Naito at the Tokyo Dome. Which actually makes this match worse, since I'm going to have to listen to the announcers cry in their beer about every Evil near-fall without ever once convincing me he could really win.

Hiromu Takahashi vs. Mike Bailey vs. YOH - This is a three-way match, so the first man to score a fall on either opponent will win the decision and Takahashi's IWGP junior heavyweight championship. Originally this was booked as Hiromu vs. Bailey vs. Lio Rush, since Bailey and Lio both challenged the champ on August 19-20. However, Lio fell ill recently, and his tag partner Yoh scored a pin on Hiromu on October 7, so he's stepping in as a replacement.

In singles matches, Hiromu is 4-1 against Yoh, and 1-1 against Bailey; Bailey and Yoh have never squared off. The originally scheduled match felt more even, but now we've got the factor of Yoh's long-running struggle to beat Hiromu. Theoretically the champ should focus on exploiting Yoh's insecurities, and Yoh will be obsesssed with pinning Hiromu. That could benefit Bailey, who can step back and swoop in with a cool move when the time is right.

Anybody could win this, really, but my sense is that Lio and Yoh will move back into the junior tag scene, while Bailey heads back to Impact for a while. I suppose any of them could return for another shot against Takahashi at Wrestle Kingdom. But my preference would be for Hiromu to retain and get a new challenger.

David Finlay vs. Tama Tonga - Finlay beat Tama for the NEVER title back in May, but then in July Tama was the first to beat Finlay in the G1 Climax, so now he gets a rematch with the gold on the line.

I like both guys here, but I'm not feeling any hype for this match. I suppose that's because neither man has gotten much out of holding the NEVER belt. Tama has held it twice and only defended it successfully once, against El Phantasmo. Finlay also only has one defense so far...against El Phantasmo. The biggest win either guy has had all year is against each other. One of them has to move on to bigger and better things, and that can't happen until this match is out of the way, so I'm just in a hurry to get it over with.

My guess here is that Finlay will retain, and somebody will come to the ring to challenge him for Wrestle Kingdom. (Shingo Takagi, maybe?) As for Tama, it's high time he gets back with Tanga Loa for World Tag League and another run for the tag team title.

Kazuchika Okada & Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin & Josh Alexander - Tanahashi invited anyone from Impact Wrestling to challenge his team for the NEVER trios title, so Josh Alexander and the Motor City Machine Guns stepped up. Shelley, the Impact men's world champion, successfully defended the title against Tana on August 20. Alexander, making his debut in Japan, is slated to challenge Shelley on October 21. Sabin, Impact's X division champion, and also has a defense scheduled for 10/21, against KENTA.

I have no idea what the plan is for the trios title, so I guess either team could win. But it's hard to imagine Impact will keep Shelley and Alexander on friendly terms for the next three months, so it may not work for them to hold the belts until Wrestle Kingdom. If Okada's team retains, they should probably keep doing interpromotional matches--I could easily see them in the Tokyo Dome against an all-star squad from AEW or NOAH.

Gabe Kidd & Alex Coughlin vs. El Phantasmo & Hikuleo - Kidd and Coughlin are putting the STRONG tag team title up for grabs. The ELP/Hikuleo team is the culmination of Phantasmo being turfed from Bullet Club, having no friends, and basically being adopted by the Guerillas of Destiny. Winning a title from a Bullet Club team would be a nice happy ending on that story, but I'd hate to see Kidd and Coughlin fall short so soon into their run as David Finlay's scary enforcers.

All four guys will probably be at the STRONG show on October 28, and November's World Tag League tournament, so my guess is they'll continue feuding no matter who wins here.

Shota Umino & Master Wato & Yuji Nagata vs. Ren Narita & El Desperado & Minoru Suzuki - This is the seventh match in a "best of seven" series between these two trios. Strong Style (Narita's team) currently leads with 3 wins, 2 losses, and 1 time limit draw. So Umino's team literally can't win the series; the best they can do now is win this match to get a 3-3-1 tie. In any other outcome--even a no-contest--Strong Style gets the last laugh.

This series was announced after these six men got into a post-match brawl on August 13. Specifically, Narita and Umino have hated each other since their Young Lions days, Despy has been Wato's nemesis since 2020, and Suzuki and Nagata have been rivals for decades. I suppose the idea is to let them fight a lot until they get it out of their system. I get the feeling that won't work.

Assuming Strong Style wins the series, you'd think that would put them in line for a shot at the NEVER trios title. Then again, they usually put less logic and planning into booking that title. Other than that, I don't really have any gut feelings about this match. One way or another I figure Umino and Narita will keep slugging it out and going nose-to-nose.

Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney vs. KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight - Connors and Moloney are the defending the IWGP junior heavyweight tag team title. The winning team will probably be the champions heading into the Super Jr. Tag League tournament, which will determine the next title match at Wrestle Kingdom.

The Jet Setters lost the title in June to TJP and Francesco Akira, who then dropped them to Connors and Moloney a month later. However, these two teams have never faced off two-on-two before. The big question is whether the legendary Kushida is starting to lose a step, and whether the up-and-coming Knight can step up to compensate. I could see this one going either way, but my gut says Connors and Moloney retain.

Tetsuya Naito & Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji & BUSHI vs. Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan & HENARE & Callum Newman - This is basically an epilogue to Naito vs. Cobb, Takagi vs. Khan, and Tsuji vs. Will Ospreay on September 24. Ospreay isn't here, so the United Empire's designated jobber Callum Newman gets to step in.

Now's as good as time as any to mention my theory that Great-O-Khan will leave the United Empire to join Just 5 Guys. Khan's been in a slump all year, so I think it Means Something that Taichi motivated him in their match on August 6. Khan needs a change, and J5G needs a new guy, it all makes sense. However, if Khan is the new member debuting in the opening match, that will certainly leave the United Empire in a bad way for this match. That makes me think it won't really happen. But it'd sure be interesting if it did happen, eh?

Either way, I expect Newman to get pinned.

Tanga Loa vs. Chase Owens - Not much to this one. Tanga's buddies in Guerillas of Destiny are all feuding with Bullet Club, so he needed a Bullet Club guy to beat up. Occasionally they give Chase a win to make it seem like he's being pushed, but he's still basically a jobber to the stars. Loa should win.

SHO & Yujiro Takahashi & Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Taichi & DOUKI & ??? - Taichi and Douki have a mystery partner, who will become the new 5th guy in Just 5 Guys. The group has been down a guy since Kanemaru defected to House of Torture. As noted above, my prediction is Great-O-Khan, but since he's already got a match that may not work. Yuya Uemura is probably returning from excursion soon, so he'd also make sense. Regardless, I expect the new guy to be a heavyweight who can team with Taichi in World Tag League. I can't remember the last time a team with a mystery partner lost a match, so Sho's side is pretty fucked.

G1 Climax season is over! Quick thoughts!

Naito wins, YES! Naito got me into New Japan almost eight years ago. I know this is probably his last main event run, and I intend to cherish every minute of it.

The four block system worked a lot better than it did last year. Curious to see if they keep it, or go back to two blocks.

A Block was one of the best single blocks we've had in a long time, and it's largely thanks to the new blood. The future is in good hands.

C Block was...eh. It certainly had its moments. But it was the weakest.

Of the Reiwa Musketeers (sorry boys, the name's stuck), Yota is by far the best. Shota and Ren still need to step out of their influences' shadows.

Was sort of disappointed that Chase Owens didn't beat Sanada like he said he would, but then again, given the allegations against Chase, maybe rooting for him is a thing that just shouldn't happen.

Ospreay is just on another level at this point. Good God.

Love Henare's new level up. Hope he starts racking up some real wins. Though is he really Maori royalty?

Being a Great O-Khan fan is suffering. Dude, did you piss in Gedo's coffee or something?

Kaito really won me over. Was hoping he'd make the playoffs, but it wasn't to be. Though man, they were really burying NOAH.

I'll admit, I talked shit about David Finlay when he became the new leader of Bullet Club, mainly because he had basically been a jobber up to that point and his new presentation was basically just, "We have Jay White at home." But he and the rest of War Dogs have really impressed me. This new vicious streak that these guys have brought to Bullet Club has been a breath of fresh air, ESPECIALLY Gabe Kidd.

Fuck the House of Torture. Those matches with Shingo and Sanada were some bullshit. Yeah, I know where it's going, it was a still bullshit.

Taichi just out here playing therapist to wrestlers having a slump.

Speaking of which, that match with EVIL aside, Sanada is really growing into his own as champion. I know the first world title reign tends to be more a test run than a real reign, but he's matured by leaps and bounds over the tournament.

Watching Eddie Kingston live his dream and have the time of his life has been a delight.

Out of all the tag team guys, Mikey Nicholls was definitely the most rough, with the scary botches loudly called spots. He got better, but it was rough going for a bit.

Shane Haste was a lot of fun, though.

Toru Yano's antics seemed to have been stepped up this year. And the old Toru Yano coming out on that last night was awesome.

Hikuleo finally seemed to click halfway through and settled into his groove as a big guy. I still wish Kaito made the elite eight, but he was a good second choice.

Zack continues to just be a joy to watch.

Sad to say, but it's time for Tanahashi to really wind things down. He's practically falling apart out there.

ELP's whole redemption arc was just great to watch. To go from being a man without a country, no friends, and not being able to buy a win to grinding his way to third place in his block and finding a home with GoD, which I guess is an actual faction now. I've been a fan of him for years, so having him as a white hot babyface is just fantastic.

I don't want to see the day in which a G1 doesn't have Ishii.

I'm okay with Ospreay making the US title the Uk title, but would prefer for it to change back after he drops it. Or, you know, BRING BACK THE IC TITLE!
