I’m gonna throw this here because like… I keep track of it anyway and because I’m proud and I want to share it somewhere:
In January of 2024 I wrote (according to my logs) approx. 21,484 words across my various projects!!
Which is a personal improvement from November and December 2023, where I barely managed to hit 15,000 words in either month :D

A Year of Dreamling - Here's to the next Million!
A year ago today I started posting my first ever Dreamling fic! (It's a Shadowhunters crossover I am still, to this day, very proud of.)
In the past year, I have written 75 Sandman fics with a total of 871,718 words posted (not including a Certain Fic). An average of 11.6k! (I never denied being a wordy bastard.)
Including Colour Forecasting (which is, as of this post, has 567,326 words written, and 137k posted), so my half would be another 283,663 words.
1,155,381 words in the past twelve months seems wild to even contemplate, and yet here we are!
That also pushed me over 5 million total words posted to Ao3, and more than 4 million total hits across all my fics - which is still absolutely incredible to think about!
With Season 2 still on the horizon, and the Sandfam still wonderfully active in all sorts of different spaces (the entity formerly known as Twitter, Tumblr, Discord, Ao3, Pillowfort, etc), I can't wait to see what the next few years will bring!

My goals for 2023 were:
Get 2,000,000 total words archived. ✅ (I DID IT! WOOHOO!)
Submit 5000 signed reviews. (Getting there!)
Have my special DECADE anniversary fic posted on Aug 3, 2023 (the day I joined FF.net.) ✅ ("I'd Give It All For You")
My goals for 2024 are:
Get 2,500,000 total words archived.
Submit 4800 signed reviews. (Might be more attainable than the 5000)
Get 300 members on the favorites/ author alert lists
Get 20,000 average words per story (which means longer stories XD)

It's so easy to feel like I haven't been doing any work on this because I only have two chapters published. But in reality I've got basically 20k words of stuff for this fic and so far I've only put out 1/4 of that, which is a much more exciting way to look at it. I'm planning on doing the same thing at the end of this year to see how much I progress with the story over 2024!

Writing Stats - Quarter 1, 2024
I've always wanted to track how much I write every day. It's my favorite thing about Nanowrimo and Camp Nano is the tracking and seeing my progress in numbers rather than pages. Last December, @sparkstar-trash and I decided to do a mini Nano between the two of us from December 11th to January 14th. It was kind of a success, kind of a fail on both ends, but it did spark (no pun intended) a love for this spreadsheet I had made.
All that to say, I've been keeping track of my writing stats this year and decided that I would do updates every three months (mostly for myself so it doesn't overwhelm me in the end) to see how things change.
Below the cut, you can see everything and how I kept track of things!
I'm participating/participated in quite a few events this year so far. This first quarter, I've been working on: Steddie Love Month, Stobin Month, Steddie Omegaverse Valentine's Day Exchange, Stranger Things Reverse Big Bang, and Stranger Things Big Bang.
I also decided to embark on a 90 Day Posting Challenge to help encourage me to write daily and to make shorter pieces. It's been really fun so far and helped me accept that not everything needs to be perfect to be fun and post. Posting started February 1st, so I'm on day 61 of the challenge today!

Thoughts:
Keeping track of my stats really motivated me to keep writing every day, even when I didn't want to. The monthly prompts and 90 Day challenge have gotten me into a really good habit of writing every day, no matter what, with smaller goals like the prompts being great starters for the fics I'm working on.
March was really tough and I lost a lot of writing time, so I'm pretty impressed I got as much as I did. Things have changed drastically in my life since I started this, which is so weird after three years of consistency, so trying to find this new balance is, well, a challenge. If it wasn't for @lady-lostmind and the Stobin Month prompts, I don't think I would have stuck with writing through my bad days like I did. And for full transparency, there are a few days where I wrote under 10 words that day, but they're still 10 more than I had and I sat down and tried to write. The intention was there, so it counts.
Either way, I'm really proud of myself for getting to this point, I have so many fics I'm working on or have planned and I hope the next quarter is as fulfilling as this last one has been.
Thanks to all of you who have read, liked, reblogged, kudos, commented, bookmarked, and rec'd my work. From vocal to silent readers, you've all cheerleaded me into where I am now and I'm really thankful to be in this position.
Now off to more sprints to see if I can't beat these numbers for the next quarter.

Fic Stats Tag Game
I was tagged by @endlesstwanted Thanks for the tag and thinking of me. I’ll see where this takes me lol All is up to date as of 8/02/23
Rules: Give us the links to your fics with the most hits, most kudos, most comments, most bookmarks, most words, and least words.
Most Hits: The Key To the Past with 20,974 hits. It’s a Scott/Logan fic that was a challenge given to me with the following summary: Post Days of Future Past Charles Xavier sends his group of teenage mutants out in search of a man who once helped him not so long ago. When the group led by Scott Summers finds their way to the mystery mutant, Scott finds himself wrapped up in a situation he isn't quite prepared for when his past, present and future all collide.
Most Kudos: Under Your Spell with 700 kudos. It was another Scott/Logan challenge story about Logan drinking spiked beer while on a mission where they suspect he could be under the influence of a love potion as he’s extremely drawn to Scott.
Most Comments: End of the Line with 171 comments. This was my very first WinterIron fanfic ever. It’s complete and ironically it’s the LONGEST fic I’ve ever written to date. It was part of a Marvel Reverse Bang where it got an update every day for 68 days and it’s a great story about redemption and starting over with love in your life. It sparked my WinterIron interest and while it’s certainly a reading investment it was an incredibly fun story to write.
Most Bookmarks: Under Your Spell once again tops the charts with 178 bookmarks and this makes me smile to see this because it really was a fun Scott and Logan story to write. It’s a complete story so if anyone hasn’t read it and wants to, it’s on my rec of my own fics I usually toss out at people. It’s a wild ride with humor and heart.
Least Words: I Love You More (242 words) because as much as I try there doesn’t appear to be any room for me to be able to accomplish a 100 word drabble. I guess I have a lot to say and this one was a Tony and Morgan fanfic with the following summary: On a weekend alone Tony and Morgan have a standoff with one another :)

Thanks for tagging me @celemee <3 I've been on short vacation so I only got down to answer now.
