🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction? 

I started writing around late summer 2021, if I remember correctly, right after I had the 'vid. I had been rewatching Gilmore Girls while I was laying in bed feeling miserable and then starting reading fanfiction when I got to points I wish had gone differently. And when I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, and I wasn't working because me having covid had abruptly ended my nannying job right before the end of summer break, I thought, "Hey, why don't I give this a try?" and the rest was history I guess 😂 and it gave me something to dive into as I started my chronic illness journey and had to go through a lot of changes in my life as a result of the affect covid had on my body. And then eventually, it gave me this beautiful little community here, which is pretty amazing. 🩷

🪐 ⇢ name three good things going on in your life right now

1. This isn't right now per say, but it's something I'm actively looking forward to, but I get to see my favorite podcast live next month!!! I'm so excited.

2. I've had little tiny bits of progress in my fight to get on disability and get some of my student loans taken care of, and even though one thing is a denial, it's actually a step in the right direction that I've been waiting for for about a year 😂

3. I'm finally feeling more settled in life despite some of the temporary chaos and I've been doing things like applying to jobs and getting out of the house more and generally feeling more like myself than I have since I got sick, and it feels really good :)

🦷 ⇢ share some personal wisdom or a life hack you swear on

Honestly, a life hack I swear by is work smarter not harder 😂 like if there's an easier way to do a task, DO IT. Break things into smaller, easier to handle pieces and do your best not to think about the next pieve until you're done with the piece you're currently busy with. Sit down while you cook or brush your teeth or wash dishes or shower! Make things fun by listening to a podcast or music or a show or a movie while you do something you're dreading. You best believe that if there's a way to make a task require less spoons and make it more enjoyable, I'm gonna do it the easier way.

Writer's Truth or Dare Ask Game

(Kyleigh's POV)

Harvestfest was a blessed weekend! Having all the family over was amazing, all the kids enjoyed having all their aunts, uncles, and cousins over - it's all they could talk about for weeks prior! One thing I love about Harvestfest is that since we're local to Newcrest, there's no need to travel long distances and we can sleep in the house and travel to wherever the events are. Now that we have 11 children, it takes that much more planning and necessitates us having much stricter protocols in place for getting us from point a to b on time and in one piece. We got an updated family picture, and with the timing of harvestfest we get to use the updated picture as the family christmas card. I'm always looking back at family pictures and feeling like it was just yesterday that we were finding out that we were pregnant with the triplets, and yet here we are almost 10 years later and their the best older siblings to their 8 younger siblings. Getting Beckett and Mandy back for the time being is also amazing, it's such a blessing that we get to have missionaries in the family, they have such great stories and testimonies from their time in Selvadorada that are such great inspiration for the kids to listen to.

The kids absolutely love having all their cousins come into town, there are currently 19 cousins but 18 of them don't live in Newcrest, so they take advantage of the cousins being there to hangout. The kids love to video chat and send little clips to their cousins, even though they're older than most of the cousins they love and adore all their cousins equally. The smaller kids love being around the older kids, and though they could just ignore the smaller kids or find them annoying, they embrace and love their younger cousins and remind them that they're loved. I feel so blessed that I get to raise my children in an environment and within a culture that views children as blessings and not burdens, it creates such strong family bonds and a love and appreciation of children and family.

We also had a sip'n'see for Adalynn's little girl Bethany in the same weekend, having a girl after 8 boys was definitely a reason to celebrate and to shower her in all the cute girl clothes. It was great to have another reason to meet with family and friends for a celebration of life and family. The whole weekend was generally just a constant flow of fellowship, blessings, and reminders of God's goodness.

Asparagus is the type of dad who sits calmly by as his son and daughter are absolute full energy running around the house, just going about his own business and casually dodging them while they play and argue (so long as there isn’t any breaking of anything, it’s all good).

And when another cat marvels at how he can possibly stand it, he "Hmm? Come again?"s and pulls a cotton bud out of his ear.

Also the realization that your math teacher is making you write your exam for him

ok see my migraines have gotten so weird because. Moving is my enemy now. liek moving my head specifically. bending over or turning too fast makes me feel like my head's about to explode and like i'm about to hurl all at once. walking is not so great either. but so long as i keep my head Still. it is not bad. and also i don't really have light sensitivity anymore? so. like. despite definitely having a migraine, i somehow managed to dice up an entire carton of strawberries just now and shoved them in the freezer. because i kept my head very still and i Stood in one single spot the entire time ajkfsfh

fluoride haters don’t have shit on me choosing fluoride mouthwash to decrease thinking
