FCSU#83 Back to Reality

Abby arrived in the Parched Prospect and found the town to be booming. Her half sisters and brothers were largely married off now and living large homes bursting with with children. She was welcomed warmly by her remaining sisters and her stepmothers. Only Charlene and Nina’s youngest daughters remained in the house. Elden seemed proud that his golden child had come back to him despite living among townies for years.

Jayne seemed subdued as she greeted her granddaughter. After dinner she and Abby found a moment to catch up in the kitchen. "How are they? Your siblings, your mother?" She whispered. Abby caught her grandmother up on the comings and goings of the last few years. "Andrew just proposed to his girlfriend, they met in college. They’re both engineers. Mother is running a café out in Brindleton Bay, the other kids are doing well in school." She watched Jayne's eyes tear up with pride.

"What's new here?" Jayne dropped her voice to an even lower whisper and described how Elden rebuilt the community using funds from the land he sold off. This was a controversial move as some considered the compounds to still be sacred land that couldn't just be sold away to townies. This move had some families reconsidering which camp they were in. Some of the shrewder fathers, noting that LeRoyce's group consisted of one family were angling to barter their daughters off to his henchmen in exchange for power.

Abby readjusted to life in the Prospect. She was warm and polite to all her stepmothers, many of whom were now frail and elderly. She reminded herself to make huge portions when she cooked though was strange for a polygamous home not to have many children to look after. The youngest girls, Carla, Carlee and Nola were nearing their preteens so they were pretty self sufficient. The teens were starstruck by their older sister and followed Abby around asking questions about the outside world.

Older sister Charlotte was also staying there with her four children, her husband had been excommunicated before the schism and left the community. Charlotte had inherited her mother’s temper and now with her husband gone she’d become even more bitter. She wasn’t the biggest fan of small children so Abby spent most of her time caring for her young nephews.

But overall the mood of the house felt off in some way. It seemed as if everyone was putting up a façade, in the coming weeks Abby would realize why. A swarm of townies with video cameras descended on the house one morning but instead of chasing them off as Abby expected, Elden invited them in and had them follow the family around. "What is going on?" Abby whispered to Charlotte. "We're filming a reality TV show." She answered, dead serious.

Indeed Elden’s desire to prove he was different from LeRoyce's group had driven him to sign an agreement with a townie TV station, allowing them access to the house, the family members and their innermost thoughts. A corner of Elden’s office was set up with a camera and microphone to film "confessions" or "talking head segments."

Abby was disturbed, this was not the church she was raised in but her family insisted she participate as long as she lived under her father's roof. Abby herself seemed quite interesting to the producers as they kept singling her out for interviews. She gave her first one with Charlene by her side to make sure she didn't say the wrong thing.

The man asked her trite questions about how FCSU life differed from townie life with her mother, which one she liked better and how she managed to keep her faith for so many years. She answered as best she could. This is where she belonged, she came back to fulfill her purpose, to marry and raise up children. Charlene squeezed her hand. "That's not what they want to hear, Abby." She instructed. "It will look bad if you say your purpose is to marry and have children. The audience won't like that."

Abby was astonished, she had been taught by her mothers that her purpose WAS to marry and bear children for the Lord. Charlene herself had stated that many times. The interviewer cut the tape and asked her the question again. Abby rambled off a paragraph about how she missed her family and wanted to return to the community she'd grown up in. Everyone seemed satisfied with that take. Abby laid awake that night unsure how to feel about all this.

My oldest step-daughter Madison Culver is such a blessing for our family! She took such good care of her younger sisters after their mother died so tragically, and even now that she's married, she is still so close to Savannah, Caroline, and Priscilla. I love having her over at our house, and I'm so happy that she lives nearby and drops in so often! It's really a blessing in disguise that she and her husband Connor have not been able to conceive yet, or I'm sure she would be busy with her own children instead of spending so much time with her single sisters! Savannah, Caroline, and Priscilla love her so much, and of course, I do too!

You can see my big stomach here, and that is because I'm pregnant with TRIPLETS! God has truly blessed our family with this!

My toddlers sometimes have problems behaving, which we do make sure to correct appropriately. These two enjoy taking with each other and playing near each other. Both of them are a little young to understand how to clean up messes, so Mia does it for now, & when Annie gets older, she can help out. Annie is already such a little mommy, and she even tries to pick up Sam sometimes, which is funny when it happens ‘cause the two are basically the same size.

Mia has been doing a great job keeping up on schoolwork and chores, so I’ve started to teach her to knit as well.

Welcome to the Gorman Family Blog!!

Greetings, everybody! My name is Ingrid Gorman. I am the eldest child of a VERY Godly family, the Snyders. My parents are Luther and Katlyn. You’ve probably heard of them...my precious Daddy is the pastor who was sent to plant a church in Mount Korembi. It was the FIRST Baptist Church in town. He called it Bible Baptist Church!

Below is a picture of Daddy with my precious Mama during their most recent maternity shoot. My Mama is expecting the SWEETEST ninth blessing and we are OVERJOYED. Many people ask me if being part of a big family gets old...my answer is absolutely not! My parents taught us to have a joyful countenance at all times and that children are a blessing from above!! I know they are right and I am so grateful that they have shown me the way!

My hubby and I met at Daddy’s church. Stetson’s parents, Brice and Geraldine, are WONDERFUL. They’re from Windenburg, but joined my Daddy’s congregation because the church there was just TOO lukewarm for them! The pastor was even allowing his daughter to date! I am so grateful to have such PRECIOUS in-laws that are so convicted in their beliefs.

Here is a photograph from when Stetson and I started courting. I am so THRILLED that my sweet Mama captured the mood on that PERFECT day! It is a memory we will cherish FOREVER. My father-in-law is in the middle and my Daddy is just behind me!!! Thank goodness for chaperones that keep us accountable!!! We didn’t even hold hands until we were engaged. That’s what Mama calls having standards...they’ve been forgotten by many these days!

Below is my favorite picture of our wedding day!! We saved our very FIRST kiss for the altar. How many people can say that?!?

Here are some more lovely wedding portraits of Stetson and I. The third picture down is a funny shot that the photographer got of my parents after the ceremony had ended! Isn’t it precious?! Mama and I laughed and laughed at that! And aren’t my dress and gloves just so WONDERFUL? It is SO hard to find modest clothes these days. I am so fortunate that my Mama hunted around with me to find the perfect look!

It’s been six months since our wedding...which was also the same day as my 20th birthday. Stetson is 26, praise God! A young woman needs a man who can LEAD her by experience. I have heard about so many wayward women of the world who have wasted their prime years going to college...which they finish at 22, AFTER the best time to first become a mother. Beginning a family young is the ONLY way to holiness. Thank goodness our parents were never led astray.

Also...look at this hilarious photo of me and my hubby! Aren’t we just so random?! We love joking around SO much now that we are married! I never knew how funny he was before.

So why start this blog now? Well...we have a little one on the way! Our precious little Ezekiel Luther is due nine months after our wedding night...to the day!! I am so grateful that we were blessed with such a PRECIOUS blessing so quickly. Praise be to the Lord from whom all blessings flow! I know He has favored us and that we are not worthy of Him.

I am so EXCITED for you to accompany on this journey. We pray we inspire you to live a life that is righteous and holy! The fruits of GODLY marriage are too great of a gift not to share.

Never withering Naylors

Hi there folks we are the Naylor fam there me Renee and my wonderful husband Ralph . We are recently married and have moved to fair Newcrest! We have recently purchased our first home debt free! Here is a few get to knows us points !

. We are Watcher followers! We attend our wonderful church twice a week . Wednesday as a midweek bible study and Sunday as a full day of worship.

. Ralph is one of two children and I am sadly an only child . We were once rebellious children but the love of the Watcher reached us in high school! Since then we have made some lifestyles changes .

. I Renee do not work , we believe that a women's place is in the home . As such I keep myself busy with household tasks , knitting and playing my violin.

. Ralph has a part time job as a handy person and spends the rest of his time making sculptures and furniture. His goal is to become talented enough to build an entire house full of hand made furniture! Aren't I lucky 🥰

. We believe that children are a blessing from the watcher and as such we do not intend to prevent the number of children we will have! We hope to be #Quiverfull 😁😁 are therefore be able to raise as many souls up to the WATCHER.

. We also believe in MODESTY! Something that many of our fellow sims seem to have abandoned . I , Renee only wear skirts and dress that either stop or go pass my knee . I also wear high neck tops as well. I wear my hair long and take pride in my appearance and ensure that my husband finds me pleasing! After all we know that a man only strays when a women lets herself go 😉 . My HUSBAND Ralph also follows a appearance goal . He wears his hair short , no facial hair . He also wear shirts that have a high neckline , he also wears this at the beach.

We hope to use this platform to share some of our daily lives and the word of the watcher with you ALL ! After all we are all sinners saved by his grace. ⛪✝️

🌲🍁🥧 Harvestfest 🌲🍁🥧

(Adalynn's POV)

Happy Harvestfest! We all made out way to my parents house in Newcrest for a weekend full of family, food, and fellowship. One thing we tried to arrange beforehand was the grandkids picture since we didn't manage to get one last year, and now that the babies that were in utero last year have been born (and no one that we know of is pregnant) we decided now was the perfect time. We mixed up the kids so that there was a big kid-little kid plan, mostly for crowd control purposes so that they would be able to handle the toddlers. The oldest four (Noah, Luke, Chloe, and AJ) were holding the youngest four (Grace, Everett, Jackson, and Bethany). As the years go by and the children grow (and with more being born, Lord willing) we'll have to keep finding new ways to arrange all the children.

My parents and the girls at home are all doing great! Now that there's no longer anyone in school, my parents have more time for their other things, though it seems with the more the family grows the busier they'll get! My dad continues to shepherd the flock of Newcrest Baptist, there's a blossoming pastoral staff that also help to keep the place running for the Lord's glory. It also gives him time to travel to speaking engagements at other churches as well as different revivals, jubilee's, hymn sings, and festivals. My mother is also busy with her role as mother, grandmother, and pastor's wife. She somehow finds the time to show all of us that we're definitely loved and valued. She helps to homeschool Barrett and Kyleigh's kids whenever needed, as well as the kids coming to their house for music lessons. When they're not home or travelling to commitments, they're usually visiting with one of us that live out of town, they try and schedule their visits to us to coincide with their travelling for their commitments. My sisters are all busy busy bees! Macie splits her time between being at home or in ministry, and when she's not doing that she's visiting with one of us. Annette works as a babysitter helping families at church that need that extra support, she just loves children and is grateful she gets to spend time with children all day. Both girls remain in a season of singleness, and they're using it to the full, with our cousin Celeste getting married this winter they've been recruited to help with the planning and execution of the wedding. Ashton also babysits children in the congregation, she's in the church choir and spends her days helping out wherever she can. Since she has less responsibilities she spends the most time travelling, so she gets to spend longer amounts of time with the siblings.

We are so thankful for the Lord's grace! Little Bethany joined our family this summer and we are over the moon that the Lord chose for this little girl to join us - her 8 older brothers and her parents are over the moon! We've had two kids get saved this year (Paul & Joshua) and it's such a blessing that we've been able to lead our kids to the Lord for his glory! Since the arrival of little miss, Mason and I have been feeling like the Lord is leading us in the direction of a new house. Since she's so young and has about a year in our room with us, we have time to see whether we're going to extend the house by adding a level or whether we'll move to a whole new house altogether. We've got a bunch of prayer warriors on our side so I'm sure we'll get an answer soon.

Barrett and Kyleigh are also thankful for a new blessing from the Lord, little Jackson made his appearance soon after Parker and Lana's wedding, so we got a 2-for-1 deal really! They're also prayerfully considering their house, so our prayer circles are really working hard in this season our two families are in. They also had two kids get saved this year, it brought so much joy to my heart when Kyleigh shared in our group chat that the girls had gotten saved and baptised at church! My parents started the tradition of gifting the 'savee' a bible and a family lunch, and it's such a precious tradition that they're able to now carry out with their grandchildren. They only have 12 grandkids that are in the average age range for getting saved (of course it can happen before or after that time period - all in the Lord's timing!), but as the grandchildren grow and continue to multiply they're going to need the Lord's help to get them everywhere that they're needed!

Zoe and her family are happy and thriving in Windenburg, Francisco's job gives him weekends off so the family gets to attend church on the weekends. Zoe has amassed a solid amount of students that she teaches piano and violin, as well as some students that she video conferences for their lessons. With two young children to care for and a house to maintain, she's an expert at managing her time. They're slowly approaching the time when Francisco gets his orders and they've got to move, but they've not put their choices in yet so we have no idea where they'll be right now. Little Cassie turns two years old in a few months, so the plan is to have a birthday party for her when we're all back in town for Celeste's wedding. Ashton is heading back to Windenburg to spend some time with them as well as with Amira and her family, she'll ride back with them for the wedding.

Maggie and her family are doing wonderful! They were in Sulani earlier this summer with Reece and Amira's families, it's wonderful getting to see my younger siblings bonding as adults with families of their own. Little Arlo and Iris seem to have grown leaps and bounds since I last saw them, the kids love getting to video chat with them and love whenever they get to visit with each other. Usually Maggie and her family will try and pass through to see us during their travels, so that's when the kids get to see each other.

Reece and Stacie have also been doing great, Liam has breezed through kindergarten and is getting ready to start grade 1. Stacie will be homeschooling Liam through a homeschool co-op, they said that they felt that was the best option for getting the kids socialised with like minded children.

Beckett (24) and Mandy Collins (22)

Beckett and mandy are back for their yearly vacation from the mission field. It's so great to see them in person and hear the wonderful stories they have to tell about the great work that they're doing out there in Selvadorada. Whilst they haven't been blessed with a child as of yet, the Lord has kept them content with their current life and has showered them in blessings of many kinds. They'll be focusing on fundraising efforts for the mission field, as well as trying to see as much family as they can.

Amira and her family are wonderful and thriving! Little Maya is such a sweet girl, a total reflection of her wonderful mother! Amira was such a wonderful baby and child, and Maya is exactly like her mother. Their little family are wonderful and are so blessed by the Lord, and they've been doing more travelling this year when their schedule allows. They'll be sharing Ashton with Zoe this winter as they get to have some quality sister time before we meet again for Celeste's wedding.

Little Grace has joined the family since we were last all together, and her name is so precious! Little Andrew is such a wonderful big brother and these two babies are the light of their parents lives! Priscilla always says that life in Oasis Springs spoils them with the heat, but she does miss having the traditional autumn and winter weather and is glad to be with family - as we all are!

Charles and Lorilee welcomed little Everett into the family around the new year, and have been thanking the Lord for that blessing. Lorilee has been sharing that she's been doing better than expected at the postpartum period, especially for a first-timer. They're talking about moving out of their apartment and finding a house for their little family (that they're hoping to expand!)

Parker (19) and Lana (19) Collins

Lana was also a new joiner to the family this year! She's such a sweet girl and is a wonderful wife to Parker. Their wedding was beautiful and wonderfully glorified the Lord, which is a testament to the minds and hearts of Parker and Lana. As an older sibling, it's been my prayer that my siblings find spouses that challenge them and push them to the Lord, and I'm thankful to say that Lana does exactly that!

We also managed to take a group picture! There's 55 people in our 'immediate' family - imagine that! There's my parents, then the 13 kids, the 10 spouses, and 30 grandkids! The lord has blessed us greatly and beyond our wildest imagination.

For comparison, this is a picture from way before any of us got married, and then a picture with Mason, Noah, and Kyleigh in the family. Who would've thought that in less than 15 years we'd go from a family of 15 to a family of 55! This is probably the biggest example of God's goodness in our lives!

Martha's pov: Some amazing news! We're expecting again! I took a test when I started to feel sick one morning and was still so surprised! Jarrett and I are so thankful for the watcher's blessings.🙌

I called my mom, and she was so excited. I am so glad to be repairing my relationship with my mom.

(Lana's POV)

With christmas fast approaching, I've taken it upon myself to start decorating for the season. Parker and I decorated the tree together and it was such a great activity for us to bond as we start the celebrations of our first christmas as a married couple. We're planning to be with my parents for christmas, we'll head out to Oasis Springs immediately after Celeste's wedding for the holiday season with my family.

Our church recently had a women's bible study hosted by Casandra and a lady from a neighbouring church. Though it's been a year since Parker and I got engaged, and almost a year since we got married, Lori and I still celebrate how blessed we are that we married in to the same family and get to grow in the Lord and in life together. Recently she shared that she and Charles have been praying for another little blessing, so I've added that to my prayer list.

I love these girls, it's been amazing getting to know Parker's extended family and having them become true friends. Ruby Rae is going to nursing school and is really enjoying it, she's mentioned wanting to be a labour & delivery nurse and help mamas bring their blessings into the world. Kyra is a teacher and has a hand in shaping young impressionable lives, she and her husband are enjoying married life, it's great that she's still able to attend her home church even after being married. Celeste is counting down how many sunday's she's got before she gets married and moved away, her bachelorette party is next weekend and a lot of the girls are going. I'm not able to attend because of scheduling conflicts, but I'm happy to help her with wedding planning so her last weeks at home are peaceful.

Parker's family is full of such Godly men and women, during the ladies conference we got such great biblical gems to help us in our journey as women, wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends. Casandra spoke from the perspective of a pastor's wife on the need to balance life at home with shepherding a congregation, Elaine spoke on how to fully take advantage of homeschooling children to give them the best education possible, and Claire covered how to introduce music into the home in a way the glorifies the Lord.

We dedicated little Bethany back to the Lord! My parents managed to make it for the dedication service, and Aaron Sr even brought up my dad to give a small charge to all the parents dedicating their children that day. Since we're blessed to have so many children being born into our church, we dedication services happen every 3 months. With our travels and various schedule clashes, little Beth was 6 months when we put our names in for it. We aim to do it for all our kids before their first birthday so that we have ample time to plan for it, instead of being under time constraints.

My parents love being grandparents, and my kids are so blessed to have such godly, loving grandparents that are dedicated to nurturing their grandchildren to live for the Lord and give him glory in all they do - like I did. It's a blessing to have them here with us, my grandparents went to heaven when I was a child so our time with them was short, but my kids will (Lord willing) grow up with their grandparents there for loving direction. My parents always said that a great benefit to marrying and having children young is that by the time they're getting married and having kids of their own, you're still young. If Noah were to get married at 20/21 like his father and I did, Mason and I will be in our forties! We'll still have kids at home (maybe even more than we currently have now) and will still be actively parenting, but we'd hopefully get grandbabies when we're still young enough to run after them!

Molly is just about ready to pop! Her little boy should be joining us any day now and we're all so ecstatic. She's been right there with us when our boys were born, even when she married Elijah and moved away she was always sure to come into town to help whenever she could. She's been cleared for a homebirth, so we've packed her a bag and I've got babysitters in place to come be at the house with Mason and the boys while Angie and I are at Molly's. She's asked us to be part of the birthing team along with her midwife, so we're all praying that things happen safely for mama and baby.

Little Beth is such a joy! Everyone in the house wants to always be around her, Angie and some other older women at church were joking that she's going to have quite the difficulty when it's courting time, she's got (atleast) 8 very protective older brothers! After we got home from Newcrest, the boys took turns being under the weather, so we kept them away until they felt better so we didn't have to deal with a sick baby. As the weather gets colder we're going to be seeing more and more sicknesses doing the rounds, since a lot of our congregation travelled to their families for the holiday period there's always someone who gets awfully sick.

Thankfully I've got my recipe for chicken & dumplings and chilli on demand, they're what the boys ask for when they're not feeling too good, the food warms them from the inside out. I make large servings of both dishes so that I'm not cooking a whole new meal from scratch by the morning. I'm used to making enough servings for 15+ people, so we're constantly flowing with an abundance of leftovers, which is amazing for when guests drop by unexpectedly. Being able to show hospitality is one of the things that my mother impressed on us was our duty to excel at as wives and mothers, we show the goodness of God when we extend an invitation to others to sit and fellowship.

The boys are absolutely in love with their little sister! It seems they all grew overnight when we brought her home, they finish their chores faster, finish their homework faster, and have upped their handwashing rate by a tonne (which I'm eternally thankful for!) The little boys have been practicing being gentle when holding her, and they only hold her with either Mason or I there. Little Titus calls her his baby, which makes this mama's heart glad that he's not so burned at having his spot as the youngest being taken. I've been spending more time with him and the twins as they've adjusted to having another baby in the house, and thankfully they've done so well.

Little Beth is hitting so many milestones! She's quite stubborn and doesn't want to start, but as soon as we get her on the floor and try and get her waving, or even crawling, she puts her heart and soul into it. The boys love cheering her on, and she loves the attention so she pushes until she's overstimulated. Her stubbornness means she fights sleep because there's so much happening in the house, so nap times have to be enforced or else she'd never get any sleep and would be an overstimulated mess.

Molly, Mason's sister, is in her second trimester of her first pregnancy and is absolutely glowing! She's been in the throes of morning sickness since she announced to us at easter, and she's only just recently began feeling better. She and Elijah have completed their move to Newcrest, now they live around 20 minutes from us. Her belly is so wonderfully small, we laugh that she hasn't popped yet so she hasn't had to go shopping for a whole new maternity wardrobe. Angie and I, along with some ladies from church planned a gender reveal/baby shower for Molly as the first event to celebrate them moving to Newcrest.

And it's a boy! The boys were so happy to get another boy in the family. Molly and Elijah haven't picked out a name yet, so they've got more work ahead of them before the little mister makes his appearance.

Angie was ecstatic getting to plan this gender reveal, we only had one when we were expecting Noah before choosing to not find out anymore with the subsequent pregnancies. She and Aaron have such a love for children that even with 9 grandchildren, they're over the moon everytime they're told that there's another one coming. Aaron pastors our congregation, and many families have adopted him and Angie as their grandparents, so they have many 'grandchildren' that they're nurturing and helping to grow in the Lord.
