I just had this conversation with my friend and I thought I'd share it here : believing that feminism has to educate men in order to destroy the patriarchy because we cannot do it without them (this is what she believes) is believing that men oppress us because they are ignorant. It is saying that they oppress us because they don't know what they're doing and don't realize they are doing something wrong, and that somehow this ignorance has been going on for centuries. It is being overly naive. Men aren't babies. Men aren't innocent little beings who would never hurt us if they knew their actions were hurtful. They have been oppressing us for thousands of years, we have been figthing against it for thousands of years ; how could it be possible for them not to understand what they do ? How could they possibly take away our rights without understanding what they do ? How could they hit us, rape us, traffick us without understanding what they do ? And it's not like feminism is new. We have been fighting for centuries and they have been fighting back for centuries to prevent us to free ourselves. They don't read feminist books, they don't take listen to our sperches, they ignore us when we talk about our rights, they mock us, they don't take us seriously. And listen to them speaking. Listen to them giving each other relationship advices, teaching each other to manipulate us. Listen to them talking about us. Read their comments on the internet. Read their damn books and essays about feminism and women's rights. They know what they're doing. They don't care about us. They hate us, they don't see us as humans.

The daughter of Minoo Majidi--a mother of two who was killed by the Iranian regime while protesting for #MahsaAmini--stands at her mother's gravesite. She is defiantly unveiled, and in her left hand she holds the hair she cut from her head.

/!\ 11/07/2022. Czech Health Ministry has REJECTED compensation to a woman whose Romani origin is listed as the reason for her sterilization
This is what RACIALIZED MISOGYNY looks like. This is awful. This Romani woman was threatened by authorities that her children would be taken away from her if she didn't undergo the operation. Her Romani origin was even listed by the health authorities as the reason for her sterilization.
Because she was a **ROMANI WOMAN** she had her reproductive rights taken away from her and was sterilized against her will. Yet the Ministry is disregarding her account of the events and their own documents to deny her any form of justice
Romani women and feminists have been fighting for YEARS to receive justice from the Czech Republic with regards to forced sterilizations but to no avail. Fighting for reproductive rights and bodily autonomy is so important for Romani feminists because Romani women were forcibly sterilized in the Czech Republic (from 1966 to 2012), in Slovakia (from 1966 to 2003 at least), in Hungary (case from 2001), in Sweden (1935-1976), and throughout history, most notoriously during the IIIrd Reich (specifically, from 1935 to 1945)
This is scandalous

If real women putting themselves first bothers you, perhaps you shouldn't invade women's pubs, bars, dating sites, bathrooms, locker rooms, swimming pools, prisons, schools, competitions, institutions, organisations...
I mean, I don't like spiders, so I don't go around poking spider-webs and then complaining the spiders bite me and don't want me to bother them.

what heterosexual women just really can’t get their heads around is that sexual desire for men is both real and natural, but at the same time it is absolutely used to ensnare and enslave women
and so it follows that not getting involved with men is the most effective way to protect your freedom and emotional and financial health

feminism is for women, not for men, and if men really cared that much about women's rights they would understand that and they would gladly be just allies to help their sisters and fight for us. instead of that, they get mad and complain about not being included ; enough to prove that they do not care about female liberation, they just want it to be about them.
