Hi friends!!! I’m happy to announce another episode of Women Talking About Their Lives! This episode is all about a brand new Women’s Fest called RISE! Rise is focused on intergenerational lesbian connection, and improving our ability to organize around feminist goals-we also have some amazing performers, archery, drumming and a number of other activities for a well rounded experience!

Fests are some of the absolute best ways to meet like minded women from all over the country, I really cannot recommend getting out to one enough, being on womyn’s land for a week is truly life changing and affirming in ways it’s hard to articulate and I so appreciated being in a space where lesbians were so centered in everything. Definitely try to get out to something this summer if you can swing it.

Tickets are always on a sliding scale and every year women organize to assist with transport-please don’t miss out due to financial or logistical challenges.

Young girls need to be actively taught to not help males regardless of their circumstances or age. Whether it's your boyfriend of 5 years who recently got into a debt or if it's any stranger in a dark alleyway crying for help. Neither of them are gonna end well FOR YOU. You're not gonna get appreciated, you're not get acknowledged for long. Infact, you're gonna be the one who'll be taken advantage of. Other men surrounding these helpless men have far more power than you ever will(most). These men are not approaching you because you're "the one" they could trust. And let me tell you something, the men you'll help build, will resent you for helping them or being there to witness when they were at their worst. They do not want to be reminded of the times when they were a loser or that a woman(someone who's considered below them) helping them.

Modern society is still rotten with cruel social norms that groom young men to be self destructively insecure and easily manipulated by the military industrial meat grinder and that badly needs to be addressed, but the only well known "movements" to tackle "mens issues" wound up being bad faith internet troll hiveminds whose only actual motivations were to compete against the other social movements (like feminism and LGBT rights) that they overwhelmingly only resented for unrelated personal reasons. They did so much fucking damage to the conversation that their communities have been effectively gone for years now but everyone else is still afraid of being mistaken for a surviving redpill chud if they bring up any ways in which anything ever sucks for guys. They helped the terf radfems poison that discourse so efficiently you'd think they were all just each other's sock puppet accounts planning out the whole damn thing.

“do you really think trans women would go through all that just to prey on women?!?!?!” uh yeah men literally spend several years going to med school to become a healthcare professional, like a dentist or gynecologist to do so. men go to war so they can get away with raping impoverished women over seas. men get plastic surgery to stalk their exes without them knowing. time and time again men show us that they are willing to uproot their own lives to hurt us. it is disingenuous to pretend like men will do all of that but never pose as a woman to get into womens spaces. we literally see this in certain breeds of fish and bird where a male poses as female to get past the big steroid royal jelly male so that he can mate with the actual female…

so, do i think some trans identified males identify as such to prey on women? yes. the facts are there that men will literally go above and beyond in order to destroy us. people starve themselves because they think theyre too fat. its not out of bounds to say that men might mutilate themselves because they think they are entitled to women, our time, AND our spaces.

I don't know if someone has already posted this but this is exactly why other women tell you not to quit everything to become a stay at home mother. Tradwife shit is absolute fantasy. You are dependent on your husband for everything. He can leave you with nothing if he wants and you will be left to struggle unless you get a prenup and most of them would be offended that you would even suggest a prenup.

The comments are telling. These women didn't "choose wrong", they were lied to and convinced that they could depend on their significant other.

I can’t overemphasize that nothing will change unless we (women, feminists, lesbians) decide to change it. Women are losing ground on all fronts, the right and the left do not have women’s self interest in mind. No one cares about the wellbeing of GNC people either, they only care insofar as they can be useful, as spectacles, villains or customers.

Unless we act we will not wake up in an easier and more forgiving world. This will just get worse. We have to be brave. We have to take responsibility for improving the conditions of our lives and the lives our of children, of those younger than us.
