don't mind me just salting over cartoons
trying to get through another li.la-centric episode like "why, oh why, do they keep writing Al.ya out of character and dumbing down the entire class just so li.la can get her way again?" you expect me to believe that someone like al.ya ce.saire is more willing to take li.la's side than mari.nette's? mari.nette dup.ain-ch.eng whom she's known for far longer than li.la??? what reason does she have to believe what li.la says over mari.nette? i refuse to believe her behavior in lila-centric episodes are consistent with her previously established character. it just isn't. and for al.ya and ni.no to just brush off what their friends have to say because they're in love??? make it make sense!!!

Speak My Name In Tongues
1| 2(you are here) | 3 | 4
Summary: Bruce Wayne is determined to get his daughter to safety and aid (read: take over for) the Parisian heroes in capturing their supervillains of over six years. Unfortunately, these two goals are in direct conflict. (all of biodad bruce things can be read as stand alones but I do post in chronological order)
________________________________________________
Let it be said that Bruce Wayne is a persistent man.
When he wants something, he does not stop on the first or second failed attempt. It doesn’t matter if the world believes something to be impossible. It doesn’t matter if he fails spectacularly to achieve his goal multiple times, in fashions that would likely result in any man of lesser wealth becoming the laughing stock of the global community for months. In order for him to cease his pursuit, he must come to the realization that whatever he’s pursuing is not worth the effort. This is a very rare occasion. Most times when Bruce comes to this conclusion, his decision can be traced back to the trauma of his parents death and the subsequent consequences of his vigilante life style (read: not pursuing Jason’s death, letting Barbara get shot.)
Thus, when Marinette turns down his offer of a safer life, he will not take her rejection at face value. A lesser man might. But Bruce is not any such thing.
Anything that Marinette is involved in-- and he finds that she does a lot-- all oh-so-coincidentally happen to be things that Wayne Enterprises invests in as well. He marks down each and every charity event and gala that she is scheduled to attend and makes an appearance there as well. When he finds that she supports all of her collége friends in their pursuits, he attends too.
Somehow, she manages to skillfully evade being drawn into any long conversation with him and always ensures that there’s a third person involved when he even says hello. If Bruce weren’t trying so hard to have a talk with her, he’d say that her ability to do so was really quite impressive and spoke to the reach of her network. But again, Bruce is trying to convince his daughter that he’s not safe in Paris by herself when the League most likely has a bounty on her head. If Talia finds out that he had a daughter not borne by her-- she’s certainly changed in recent years, becoming more volatile and much less like the woman he fell in love with all those years ago.
He half believes that with Marinette’s wit, intellect, and escape abilities, she may even be able to hold her own against the League. Unfortunate that the League has weapons training and she does not.
“Marinette,” Bruce approaches her at a Bourgeois evening party. She has friends in high places, that’s for certain. Chloe Bourgeois works at her company in the public relations department as does Adrien Agreste, which definitely turned a lot of heads in the fashion industry as nobody expected the boy to work for anybody but his father, nor did they expect him to stop his modelling career in the prime of his life. For modelling works, she turns to Juleka Couffaine and occasionally Olympic hopefuls Kagami Tsurugi, Alix Kubdel, Ondine and Kim Le Chien.  Thanks to her connections to Rose Lavillant, she’s produced an entire line of scents that go with MDC’s evening wear. MDC is extensively covered by Aurore Boreale, one of the youngest talk show hosts in the industry, Alya Cesaire, a young journalist who’s won international acclaim with her writing, and Nadja Chamack, a Senior Executive producer of TVi. Though Bruce is rather impartial to the music industry, she’s well known for working with international singers Jagged Stone, Clara Nightingale, and Luka Couffaine as well as an up and coming EDM artist named Nino Lahiffe. In the film sector, she works closely with Tom Astruc and Graham Industries, with Adrien’s cousin, Felix.
As the saying goes, Who you know is everything.
Marinette smiles, teeth bared. Even the way she stands is sharp.
It’s difficult reconciling the girl in front of him with the pictures he saw while doing background checks on her, or even the girl he saw at the bar just three nights ago. At least, it’s difficult for Bruce to reconcile her when she’s around him; Marinette seems to be very much the same girl around her friends, which is almost just as frightening. When she’s with Adrien or Alya of Kagami, it’s as if her parent’s death didn’t even happen. All smiles and sunshine and good will. She still attends all of the charity events she signed up for, has increased the amount of hours she spends volunteering at homeless shelters and akuma shelters-- and Bruce has no clue in hell how Paris’ supervillain situation has gone unchecked for so long, but he already has several agents tracking down Hawkmoth and the Miraculous team to no avail-- and goes to work on a normal schedule. Since Tom and Sabine’s death, she’s taken no time off.
In the presence of Bruce Wayne, however, there’s a great shift in her demeanor. There is nothing warm about her, and despite the fact that Marinette is his daughter and that she’s more than a full foot shorter than him, he finds himself wary of her. That says something, considering the types of people he faces down as Batman near daily.
For the first time, she allows him to approach without dodging him.
“M. Wayne.” Marinette begins to meander to a less public place, all while maintaining a pretty media smile and waving to acquaintances as she passes them. The moment the door closes behind him, a flip is switched.
“Leave me alone,” she growls. “I don’t want or need your protection.”
“Your parents were murdered.”
“You don’t think I know that? I was the one who found their corpses.”
“They’ll come after you, next.” The League of Assassins never leaves their jobs half done. Marinette is more of an achilles heel than Tom and Sabine were-- despite not being in her life, he cares for her. He can’t deny that if she were murdered, he’d probably get caught up in a fit of rage. The Lazarus Pits have not been good for his mental state over the years.
Marinette crosses her arms, sleeves fluttering around her. “You think you know who did it.”
“I don’t think I know; I’m sure who did it.”
“No,” Marinette says in a strangely detached tone. “You think you know who did it. You don’t actually know, do you, Dark Knight?”
Bruce’s stomach fills with dread. Something about her statement makes him feel nauseous. Queasy, even. “I do. The League of Assassins--”
“You think everything revolves around you, don’t you? Bruce Wayne and Batman are not the only ones with enemies.”
“You’re suggesting that you have enemies who would be willing to kill your parents?” Bruce isn’t sure how to take this. Marinette does have a fairly large following, runs in the most powerful and influential Parisian circles, and has money to spare. But as far as his research told him, she didn’t do anything to egregiously offend anybody, besides maybe one Lila Rossi and Chloe Bourgeois, though the latter of the two rectified their relationship eventually.
“I don’t,” Marinette denies. “But Ladybug does.”
“The superhero.” Is his age finally catching up to him?
“The superhero,” Marinette agrees, looking at Bruce contemplatively.
“Ladybug and I-- we’re close,” Marinette settles on. “Close enough for our bakery to become a safe house of sorts for the Miraculous team. Hawkmoth--no, Pavona. She either acted out of anger for her past with me or just wanted to strike a blow at the Miraculous team.”
Bruce feels a migraine coming on. It’s on days like this when he wishes he were a drinking sort of man. “Why would Pavona be upset with you?”
Marinette laughs, humorlessly. “World’s greatest detective, huh? Maybe you’ll figure it out eventually.”
He gets the feeling that their conversation is quickly coming to a close, and figures that whatever issue Marinette and Pavona have is something he can decipher later, “It doesn’t seem like Pavona has done much with this information. The Miraculous Team seems to be in high spirits, and there haven’t been any akumatizations in the past two weeks.”
Another dry laugh. “Wrong move at the wrong time. And besides Ladybug and you, nobody else knows.”
Marinette pushes past him, back to the door, back to the party. She pauses at the door. “I’ll put the two of you in contact. Until then, keep a lid on you and your operative’s emotions. I’m sure trained agents like yourselves can restrain yourself from feeling anger or sorrow for a while.”
Bruce is left with two horrifying realizations: Marinette is in a situation where she’s in over her head, and Sabine and Tom’s deaths have not been publicized.
#
Batman and Bruce have never liked magic or metas, and Ladybug seems to be both. It doesn’t help that she’s so high strung and seems to be inexplicably angry at him from the moment that he steps foot at their prearranged meetup.
“I sent you the ground rules if you want to operate in Paris. Forward it to your operatives. Follow the rules or leave.”
“I’m here to take down Hawkmoth,” Batman says with a bone-weary tiredness.
Ladybug crosses her arms in a fashion that’s achingly familiar. “I know that. That’s why I’m giving you and your people the ground rules and a chance. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be allowed here.”
“Ladybug, you and your team have failed to catch Hawkmoth for six years now.”
“You and your team have been fighting the same set of villains for over thirty years. I wonder which one of us is really worse off.”
Batman grimaces.
The heroine looks out at the night sky and sighs. “Look, this is a very stressful situation. Pavona acted out in one of the worst ways possible, and even though she and Hawkmoth seem to be MIA, it’s still not ideal.”
He remembers that Marinette said Ladybug and her parents were close. Batman stumbles over his words. He’s never been the best at comforting people, and healthy coping mechanisms simply don’t run in the family. There’s definitely a reason why he and all of his children take to vigilantism so well. “Tom and Sabine-- they were great people.”
Ladybug stills.
Batman doesn’t know how old she is, or how old any of the Miraculous team is, besides from Chloe Bourgeois, who used to be Queen Bee. Something in the way her shoulders hunch, how her jaw trembles, and eyes water makes Batman feel like she’s just a child. But she can’t be. Not if she’s been protecting a city for six years. If he had to guess her age, he’d put her in her mid to late twenties, maybe even early thirties.
“They were the most loving people I’ve ever known,” Ladybug says. “It was a privilege to know them.”
He’s not sure who made the decision to not release Tom and Sabine’s death to the public, but Batman recognizes it as a tactical decision. It only took a short amount of time to hack into security cameras near Marinette’s residence and filter through the sighting of the Miraculous Team at Tom & Sabine’s Boulangerie, stopping to chat with Marinette or one of her parents, sometimes eating there, sometimes staying the night, using their living room as a gathering point. From there, it’s not difficult to realize that Marinette or Ladybug is keeping this information from the rest of their team in order to ensure that their civilian or superhero identities don’t get compromised by an akuma or a sentimonster.
In comparison to the Scarecrow, who makes his victims fight their worst fears, Batman can’t help but think that turning people into their insecurities and angers is worse. At least with Scarecrow, there’s a chance that people can win against whatever they’re fighting. Once a Parisian is turned into an akuma or sentimonster, they just have to hope that somebody else will come in and save the day. Victimhood with the cruelest twist, similar to when the Joker tried to make Dick into the Joker Jr.
“Pavona. What’s her deal with Marinette?”
Ladybug’s laugh is hollow and familiar. “Didn’t Marinette tell you to figure it out on your own?”
“I need to know,” Batman insists. “I want to protect her. I don’t want her to get hurt like that again.”
“You have noble intentions, Batman,” Ladybug says quietly. “A kind heart. But you are mistaken in thinking that Pavona can hurt Marinette anymore. Even if Pavona tries to, she won’t be able to. Tom and Sabine-- they were the weak link. Everyone else she loves is safe.”
Ladybug pauses, looks sideways at Batman, then stares out at the Parisian skyline again. “Everyone except for you. You’re not safe, here in Paris. You know that, don’t you?”
“She--” his mouth dries. There’s a lot of information to process, but he focuses on one thing. “She loves me?”
He doesn’t think he’s heard those words come out of any of his kid’s mouths. He knows that all of them do love each other in their own messed up ways and knows that his sons and daughters are more likely to show their affection in actions instead of words, but Marinette is a biological child that he’s never interacted with before this month. How can she love him when all he’s done is push her away?
“She loves you.” Ladybug closes her eyes. “But that makes her a fool. She’s clung to the hope that she’d get to know you for years. Look where that’s gotten her. She gets to meet you at the price of her parents' lives. So please, don’t mess this up. The best way to protect her is by making sure that you’re safe. Really, I’d want you to leave Paris and forget about her. She’ll be okay. We’ll keep her safe.”
Batman says nothing for a time. Ladybug is right in thinking that Marinette shouldn’t love him, but she’s not right in her belief that she can protect her. After all, Tom and Sabine are still dead. “But I can make sure no one hurts her. I may not be someone she interacts with normally, but I can’t see her die.”
Ladybug makes a keening sound in the back of her throat. “I know, Batman. We’re not as trained as you and your team. I know you want to keep her safe. That’s why I’m letting you and your team help us. Because we’re just not enough.”
“You’ve done a lot to keep this city safe.” He wants to be mad at her for involving a civilian family, but he can’t find it in him. She seems so young. Does she have parents? Do her parents know that she’s Ladybug?
“But not enough.” She wanders to the edge of the building, yoyo in hand. “When this is all over-- maybe the two of you can spend some time getting to know each other.”
Batman stares at the spotted heroine. “Maybe someday.”
“That’s not very convincing.” Ladybug turns so that he can’t see her face. “Be kind to her. She’s alone.”
“She has you. She has your team.” Neither Bruce nor Batman has been very good at comfort during a time of loss.
Ladybug fiddles with the chain around her neck. Two rings as a pendant. She clenches her fist around them and goes still for a moment. “We’re too similar to comfort each other. And we both agreed that telling the team… it would be disastrous. Tom and Sabine were parents to all of us. Pavona is scheduled to come back soon. If we tell them now, it might end in another mass akumatization. That’s something we have to avoid.”
Pavona is coming back? How did Ladybug even know that she left? How—
Batman stills. The muggy Parisian warmth is only alleviated by a brief breeze that makes Ladybug’s hair ties fly in the wind. Anger wells up in the back of his throat, and he feels the Lazarus in him spike, knows that behind the white film of his cowl, his eyes are turning green. “You know who Pavona is. Why hasn’t she been brought in yet? Why—”
Ladybug could have prevented Tom and Sabine’s death. She could have saved Marinette the loss of her parents.
Marinette could have retained her innocence. Been kept out of the world of superheroes and supervillains, been kept safely on the sidelines if only Ladybug weren’t so selfish, wasn’t so foolish to bring in a civilian family with no training and no background.
“Marinette and I have known for a long time,” Ladybug cuts him off, and he’s ready to put his hands to her throat, but no. Justice, not vengeance. He will make sure that Ladybug’s wrongdoings are brought to light. He will right her wrongs.  “For four years, it was Hawkmoth and Mayura. Once Pavona showed up, we thought-- we thought that between her and Hawkmoth that she’d be the lesser of the two evils. We had no clue who Hawkmoth was, but we knew that they were working together. Pavona was left free to roam in hope that she’d lead us to Hawkmoth. That we could finally end the fight.”
Ladybug’s back straightens. She turns, and her eyes are all blue steel and pain. It’s then that Batman realizes that Ladybug truly did love Tom and Sabine with her whole heart.
“I see that I was wrong. Hawkmoth kills indiscriminately. But Pavona-- her grudges run deep. Mayura was the kindest of the three. The reason Pavona killed Tom and Sabine was petty.” Ladybug’s voice crumples, as do her legs. She hunches in on herself, hugging her knees. Batman watches on from a distance.
What was it she said? That she and Marinette were too similar to comfort each other? One day, Batman may find himself furious at Ladybug for making the decisions she did. But right now, all he sees is a child.
“I’m sure you’ve looked into Marinette’s past,” Ladybug starts.
Batman makes a noise of affirmation, but she clearly wasn’t looking for permission to go on. She was trying to collect herself in order to tell a story.
“There was a transfer all the way back in collège. She was very popular amongst her classmates. Beautiful, well connected, charismatic. There was no way people wouldn’t love her.”
Ladybug glances back at him. “Come, sit, Monsieur. I do not know you well, but I don’t bite.”
Bruce— Bruce does not want to sit with her. But Batman says that he has to hear her out. To give her a chance, at least. Batman has made mistakes over the course of his career as well, his actions and inactions affecting too many for him to keep track of. He would be a hypocrite if he didn’t let Ladybug speak, even if Sabine and Marinette are two people he never would have dreamed of involving. Still, he keeps one hand firmly on a batarang. The videos shows that not much damage can be done to the superheroes when they’re suited up, save for attacks with magic, but nothing is absolute. There’s always a way to bring an opponent down. “Is it that shocking of a story?”
“No. Not at all. If anything, it’s a typical story of teenage drama, except perhaps a bit more than that. But I need the reassurance that you won’t run off once I finish.” She lets the two rings go, gentle thud of the two rings pressing against each other and her collar bone. The rings seem familiar.
Batman sits, albeit warily and at least five feet away from his companion. Ladybug hasn’t proven untrustworthy so far, but she is still part meta and a magic user, from what he’s gathered. He wouldn’t put it past her or one of her team, particularly the one who creates illusions, to do something. He just doesn’t know what.
“This beautiful, charming classmate easily swayed Marinette’s class to her side.” Ladybug peeks at Batman through her bangs. “Understand that the classmates are children. Children in a class where power means that trouble and responsibility never stick. They learned that taking action meant you would be blamed.”
Batman wonders how Marinette and Ladybug met. Maybe it was through this very class she’s talking about now. If that’s true, it does not bode well for his perception of her.
“Marinette recognized this classmate for what she was. A liar. She promised all sorts of beautiful things-- things that played to their classmate’s biggest dreams. Working with their favorite artist. Meeting olympic athletes and musicians. Trips to impossible places. Perhaps if Marinette wans’t who she was, she would have believed her, too. But this classmate lied about two things Marinette knew were false. She lied about being a hero. She lied about me.”
“How do you and Marinette know each other?” It was incredibly difficult to find the video evidence of the Miraculous team going to Tom & Sabine’s Boulangerie. Batman had to call in a favor from Zatara and avoiding her questions as to why— he’d much preferred it if he were able to go through any normal channel instead.
“We’ve known each other since the beginning.” Ladybug fiddles with her yoyo, refusing to look him in the eyes. “Marinette tried to get her friends to realize the truth. But everybody wanted what she was saying to be real. It’s hard to say otherwise when everything they ever wanted could be found in a single person. And Marinette didn’t pick the smartest ways to try to reveal her lies.
“That beautiful, charming classmate didn’t like Marinette trying to debunk her entire persona. She grew to be very cunning. She hurt Marinette in so many ways. I lost track over how many times Marinette got suspended or temporarily expelled, only for her to be brought back at the behest of the one other person in her class who knew the truth. Her designs were stolen. The boy she loved grew into a shell in order to protect himself. Her friends drifted away-- not that they were cruel or anything,  they were taught inaction above all else, to not say a word about whatever happened in class ever since ecole-- but Marinette was really lonely.
“It was sort of a blessing in disguise. During this time, a lot of the Miraculous Team went on a break of sorts, and it was only Chat Noir and I. We had to get stronger and smarter and Marinette and her family provided relief and moral support. If her friends were close to her during that time, things may have ended really badly. Hawkmoth may have caught on to more secret identities than he already knew.”
“Does Marinette know who you and Chat Noir are underneath the mask?” To put the weight of their alter egos on a civilian is cruel. It’s why his own was so closely guarded. He’s not a fan of Marinette knowing his existence as Bruce, let alone Ladybug.
“The more people who know our identities, the greater a chance Hawkmoth has at taking our Miraculous.”
A non answer. Clever wording on Ladybug’s part. Although he can imagine Sabine agreeing to put up a bunch of teenage superheroes in her bakery, he knows that it’s impossible for anything to escape from her eyes for very long. He’d bet anything that she figured out the majority of the team’s identities. And by extension, anything that Sabien finds out, Marinette is bound to find out as well; her past indicates that she has an equal, if not higher level of intelligence and creativity that Sabine had.
Had. They went for so long without patching anything up. Why was he so foolish? So Hard headed? She offered him so many chances to reconnect, to connect with Marinette, to be a second father to her. She didn’t have any romantic feelings for him left, that much he knew, what with how utterly in love she was with Tom, and he was happy for her. Happy that she found somebody more stable than him.
If he and Sabine were closer, could he have prevented their deaths? Would he have been clued into the situation of a magic supervillain in Paris sooner?
He can’t be mad at Ladybug. Not when Batman, a hero with decades of experience on her, failed to step in. Refused to look old problems in the eye. Let loved ones die for his own inability to communicate.
“For a while, Marinette didn’t fight back. She didn’t want the boy she loved, her best friend, to get in any more trouble than he already was, trying to protect her. She laid low. But the classmate was very interested in this boy as well. The classmate tried to break him to get him to love her.”
Ladybug smiles wryly. “You can imagine that was the end of her rope. Marinette thought that the only person the liar was targeting was herself. After three years of bearing the weight, she finally snapped. She started using the resources she had. And the wasn’t any grandiose thing, though in retrospect, perhaps it should have been. She wouldn’t have ended up in prison, no she’s too young, and one of the two main victims was under lock and key, and Marinette was never hurt to the point where the liar would face real consequences for her actions. All that happened was a restraining order and her removal from Marinette’s school.”
“The girl’s name is Lila Rossi. She was already a suspect for working with Hawkmoth at the time by helping him turn people into akumas. Then Mayura stopped showing up and Pavona took her place. Pavona was clearly targeting everything and anything near Marinette. I should have seen the signs, but I had years of experience on her, and the Miraculous Cure--” Ladybug breaks off. “From one point of view, even Hawkmoth is better than her, because at least he didn’t cause any irreversible deaths.”
The Miraculous Cure is cruel. It only reverses the damage done with a Miraculous or while Ladybug is transformed. When Tom and Sabine were murdered, Pavona and the Peacock Miraculous were nowhere in sight.
Batman can’t say whether Pavona is better or worse than Hawkmoth. But Lila Rossi-- he recognizes the name. He knows what she looks like, since her image came up when he was doing a background check on Marinette. It’s quite possible that she has some type of mental disorder. Now is not the time to think about that. Hawkmoth’s identity needs to be revealed, and quickly. “How did you connect the two with the magic protecting your identities?”
“I used a little magic of my own.”
Beneath them, more and more lights begin to flicker out. Even though Paris is nicknamed the City of Lights, due to the extensive drain on energy, shops are required to turn off their exterior lighting after 1AM.
“Please,” Ladybug says. “Please help me find Hawkmoth. Please help me put them in prison. I-- I’ve been fighting for so long, and it was a duty I didn’t even want for the longest time. I just want all of this to be over. I want to be able to scream and cry and mourn without Hawkmoth and Pavona trying to manipulate me. Please.”
Batman has never been one for physical affection, but he pats Ladybug awkwardly on her back. She launches herself into his arms, curling into him and sobs as he awkwardly rubs her back. He keeps his eyes trained at a distance, watching for any akumas or amoks.
“Please,” she warbles, eyes watery. “Be good to Marinette. Be a good father. Be someone for her to lean on.”
His muscles tighten. He’s never claimed to be a good father, let alone a good man. He tries to do right, but Marinette is different from all of the other kids he’s taken in over the years. She’s not from Gotham. She had parents who were kind and stable and normal. He doesn’t think he can be a good father to her.
Somehow, Ladybug guesses exactly what he’s thinking. “You just have to be yourself. It may be stupid and foolish, but she loves you. She really does.”
For a long time, the two of them stay on that roof, Ladybug buried in the crook of Batman’s arm.

Cat’s Not-All-Encompassing Character Ranking
Okay, so I have to admit that I omitted a lot of characters I don't have strong opinions on. Most of them were one-off akumas, so don't get your panties in a twist, your faves are probably still on here (and ranked lower than you think).
As a preface again, these are just my personal opinions. They can't hurt you. You can still like characters more or less than me. And I don't care how you feel about them. This list is for me. And the person that asked for it. So shut up. Go make your own rank list if you’re so butthurt.
We're going in reverse order this time, starting from the bottom:
84. Gabriel Agreste- I mean, is anyone surprised? I am not private about how I think Gabriel should go to jail. Or fall off a cliff. Or be erased from existence. Rip to those that like him, but I’m different.
83. Thomas Astruc- Honestly, he’s down here on principle. Self-inserts are generally a no-no, and I just laugh every time I see him on screen because he really put himself in this show and said boohoo no one appreciates me XD
82. Bob Roth- I feel like this one should also be obvious. He’s just a dick. Terrible human. I give him 0 stars.
81. Tomoe Tsurugi- We all collectively hate her, right? It’s not just me?
80. Su Han- This mans has small peepee energy. And he bad mouthed Fu, so get FUCKED, my dude.
79. Rolland Dupain- Listen, I get it, he liked Marinette in the end, but I could do without the racism.
78. Nathalie Sancoeur- My opinion of Nathalie took a nosedive after the s2 finale. I just do not care that she is in love with her boss. Don’t care that she’s dying. Just do not have it in me.
77. XY- Justin Bieber ass wannabe.
76. Nora Cesiare- I didn’t care for Nora. I know Thomas loves her, but the overbearing sibling trope is tired.
75. Anarka Couffaine- I underestimated how much I don’t really like her. Like, it’s not full-on hate, but I just do not care for her.
74. Otis Cesaire- Got akumatized because a kid said he could outrun a panther. I’m still not over it, Otis.
73. Andre Bourgeois- No love for the crooked mayor. I hope your wife divorces you.
72. Alec Cataldi- The real villain of Stormy Weather. Like fr why is he such an asshole?
71. Roger Raincomprix- Is Officer Roger just doing his best? Sometimes. But like sometimes this mans just needs to take a chill pill.
70. M. D'Argencourt- Please get out of the 1600s
69. Ella/Etta- These two are basically the same character, and I am indifferent to both of them.
68. KnightOwl/Barbara- Listen, I would have liked you more if you were less controlling.
67. Majestia- Same as above, but like I guess I like you more
66. Theo- *Mean Girls principal voice* Stay away from underaged girls!
65. Andre the ice cream man- I just want a scoop of chocolate, Andre. Is that too much to ask??
64. Amelie Graham de Vanily- We haven’t seen much of her, but she seems like a snake bitch.
63. M. Kubdel- I mean, if my son wanted to resurrect an ancient mummy and believed in aliens, I’d give the family heirloom to my daughter too.
62. Jalil Kubdel- Lolol, buddy, pal, dude, my guy. Chill.
61. Vincent (Adrien's photographer)- Head empty. Mom’s spaghetti. Idk he’s alright.
60. Manon- I don’t hate Manon. She just gets on my nerves every time she talks.
59. M. Ramier- This mans got akumatized a billion times because he gets emotional about pigeons. I mean, honestly mood.
58. Mme. Mendeleiev- She doesn’t put up with Chloe’s shit, and we respect her for this.
57. Baby August- Someone just give this mans some food. He’s a growing boy.
56. Santa Claus- If I were Santa, I too would list Ladybug as the best kid in the world.
55. Art Teacher- He doesn’t even have a name, but I vibe with him. He seems like he likes to paint scenes of nature with his pet squirrels.
54. Prince Ali- Lil mans just wanted to have a good time. I can respect that.
53. Duusu- Duusu, I get that your Miraculous was broken, but get with the program, girl. You is a hostage.
52. Other Kwamis- Idk, all the ones we haven’t seen as much. I don’t have real opinions on them yet. Just neutral.
51. Sass- He gives me dad vibes.
50. M. Damocles- You go, you funky owl man
49. Jean (Chloe's Butler)- He deserves a raise. What is your name, sir? We may never know.
48. Mireille Caquet- She’s pretty cute. No complaints.
47. Aurore Beaureal- Baby’s first akuma. I love her design. She’s a cutie.
46. Claudie Kante (Max’s mom)- This womans just wanted to go to space and live her dream. We stan a hardworking queen.
45. Hot Dog Dan- I like him more than Andre the ice cream fraud. Sure, my hotdog might turn me purple, but if I ask for chili on it, I bet he’d oblige.
44. Nadja Chamack- I mean, she’s doing her best.
43. Audrey Bourgeois- So, as I said in the episode ranking, I have a love-hate relationship with Audrey. She’s the worst, but that’s why I love her. I love her ironically. Like, yeah she’s atrocious, but I just want to watch her burn the world.
42. Luka Couffaine- Directly in the middle, like he’s always been.
41. Nathaniel Kurtzberg- My opinion of Nath improved after Reverser surprisingly. I ship it.
40. Chris Lahiffe- I like Chris better than Ella/Etta. He’s just a little mans out here living life wanting to grow up. Don’t believe it, Chris. Stay little forever. Being an adult suuuuucks.
39. Fang the Crocodile- The goodest boy.
38. Nooroo- I just want to give him a hug.
37. Mlle. Bustier- She’s doing her best, but I mean, when ya whole class keeps getting turned into supervillains, I’m surprised she’s not an alcoholic.
36. Penny Rolling- I just like her. I think she’s neat.
35. Ondine- Mermaid queen! She’s so sweet, and I love her with Kim. I hope we see more of her in the future.
34. Marc Anciel- Marc is a little cutie bean. Idc if he’s based off one of Thomas’s irl friends. He can stay.
33. Wayzz- He loves Master Fu so much I cry.
32. Felix Graham de Vanily- I know everyone hates canon Felix, but tbh he exudes massive chaotic neutral gremlin energy, and I actually kinda vibe with that. And he pisses with his uncle which is a whole ass mood.
31. Tikki- Tikki is very cute, but bby please work on the preaching. You don’t always know what’s right, babe.
30. Sabrina Raincomprix- Sabrina deserves better. I hope we see good things happen for her.
29. Lila Rossi- Surprised? I actually like Lila. The first fic I ever wrote for this fandom was a Lila redemption. I think she is a good antagonist and foil to Marinette. I absolutely want to see her get dunked on in canon, but that doesn’t mean I hate her.
28. Wayhem- I don’t know why, but Wayhem makes me laugh. I love him XD
27. Uncle Cheng- He’s just a good mans with a birb who wants to make you tasty food. What’s not to like?

25. Jess- She’s pretty cool. She’s a vibe.
24. Aeon- The cutest bean!!! She saw Adrien and Marinette and said yep. Those two are meant to be together. Jess, we gotta make it happen.
23. Ivan Bruel- Ivan is such a gentle bean. We love him.
22. Mylene Haprele- Smol
21. Fei Wu- I still have not watched the Shanghai special with subs, but I liked her.
20. Gina Dupain- The grandma I aspire to be.
19. Marianne Lenoir- I love her. She is good. She and Fu are so cute. And she seems like she would have kicked le ass back in the day. (and even now)
18. Rose Lavillant- I am so excited for Pigella!! Rose is too cute. We love her.
17. Gorilla- aka Adrien’s real dad. If the series doesn’t end with Gabriel getting yeeted into the stratosphere and Gorilla adopting Adrien, I don’t want it.
16. Clara Nightingale- She’s in love with Marinette. You can’t change my mind. 16 is also how old I hc her to be, so don’t nobody come for me.
15. Tom Dupain- Most. Supportive. Dad. Soft bean. Just wants to make you fresh bread.
14. Sabine Cheng- Good mom vibes. We love to see her.
13. Juleka Couffaine- Shy goth bean. Just wants to have her picture taken. Definitely a lesbian. We stan.
12. Nino Lahiffe- The goodest boy. He’s just out here doing his best, loving his friends.
11. Chloe Bourgeois- Chloe is another one I have a love-hate relationship with. Her brattiness is funny to me. We had high hopes for her. Honestly, she ranks this high because I like to play with her in fic.
10. Max Kante- He smol and smort. And I adore his friendship with Kim and the fact that he made an AI himself at 14. What a legend.
9. Alya Cesaire- Rip to Alya salters, but I’m different. Outside of Chameleon, Alya is fine. She’s a supportive bff. All yall people that are mad she doesn’t kiss Marinette’s ass all the time need to go out and make real friends. I said what I said.
8. Alix Kubdel- I love Alix. I love how she is always so done with all the lovey-dovey bullshit. She is tiny queen, and Bunnix, while OP af, is still super cool. We love to see her.
7. Kagami Tsurugi- I will fight anyone who shits on Kagami. She has done nothing wrong, you guys are just haters. All she did was exist, and yall said, wow what a toxic bitch?? Disgraceful.
6. Jagged Stone- We are going to ignore the deadbeat dad trope that canon thrust upon him. He is a Marinette stan, and we love that.
5. Kim Le Chien- I really love Kim, you guys. Does that surprise you? Listen, my favorite male character types are sweet beans and himbos. Kim is both of these.
4. Master Fu- If you didn’t pick up on how much I love Fu from the episodes ranking, then idk what to tell you. I want him to be my grandpa. I would trust this mans with my life. He did his best. You paint those pictures, you funky little man. I love you.
3. Plagg- My galaxy trash man. Love him. 10/10 chefs kisses all around.
2. Adrien Agreste- The biggest Marinette stan there is. I just want him to kiss her on the face. And marry her. Idk, I just think that would be neat if he could do that. I just want good things for them.
1. Marinette Dupain-Cheng- Honestly, are you surprised? I have always been and always will be a Marinette stan. If you expected anyone else to be in this spot, then clown suit rentals are off to the left.

Miraculous Rewrite- The Order's Fall Pt. 2
From here it's the watershed
We start out in the forest, a gentle snowfall beginning to take root. And in a nearby cave along the mountain wall the spark of a fire was built.
We cut to Adrien inside the cave, watching with wide eyes as Bridget builds the fire up. “Woah, we shoulda’ recruited you a LONG time ago Ms. Bridget St Claire.”
Bridget laughs and adds a few sticks to the fire to properly build it up, a pile of thick logs beside her she’s yet to touch. “Why thank you M. Noir. My dad was a bit of a nature nut, we used to go vacationing to Russia all the time for survivalist purposes. You’d be surprised how little places there actually are for nature trails in Western Europe in the modern day.”
“I see…”
“....Do you think the others are okay?” Bridget asks after a pause. “I mean, the Lion did seem sincere, but he was on the other side for a while and-”
“I trust him about as far as I could throw him de-transformed.” Adrien watches the fire, clearly nervous. “But Marinette and Kagami and Kim are all great at what they do. I don’t trust the Lion, but I trust her.” He shakes his head. “Them. I meant them.”
“Mmhm.” Bridget looks down at the fire again. “You know how in the rom coms with the love triangles there’s always a friend that says something like ‘if you find yourself saying ‘I like them both’ you really love neither’ and all that? It’s total bullshit.” Adrien raises a brow and Bridget shrugs at him. “They know, you know, and we’re in enemy territory in an enemy time period, and they’re both in far more danger than we are.”
“...Chloe said the same thing… ish…”
“Apparently she did her research. But anyway, hope you had a nice lunch because I doubt there’s gonna be a lot we could find foraging.”
“And with Tsering Wans till out there it’s not like we could try-”
“By all means children, if you worry about your survival, do follow me.” Both children’s heads dart up and spring to their feet, standing in the mouth of the cave, is a shadowy figure.
“Scorpion. Bridget put on the earrings.”
“But I promised Mari-”
“I’m a leader of Team Miraculous too, Do it. You have MY permission.”
Bridget begins to fumble with her pocket but before she can put the earrings on, the shadow takes a step back. Adrien narrows his eyes in confusion before a broad, heavy hand is placed on his shoulder.
“Is there a problem, Wielder of Vengeance?” an unfamiliar yet equally elderly voice asks from behind Adrien.
“....Intruders Venerable Elder.”
“I see. Well I thank you for bringing my attention to these two at the mouth of the secret exit. I can handle these children from here. Return Misso before she begins to rub off on you, if you would?”
Scorpion looks between the children, then at the elder, before nodding and marching past the lot of them, vanishing into the dark of the cave.
Adrien spins around and sure enough a monk had indeed been the one to place his hand on his shoulder.
“We weren’t trespassing! We were just looking for a place to stay tonight!”
“I understand, child, Please, allow my company for a time. I am called Han Su. Might I know your names?”
“Adrien Agreste-”
“Adrien we’re in Tibet, family name first.” Bridget whispers behind her hand.
“I understand European naming cultures child, not to worry.” Han Su raises a hand with a laugh.
“Oh, then I’m Bridget St Claire.”
“Very nice to meet you both.” Han Su sits in a place beside the fire between Bridget and Adrien. “Now a time ago, a boy just a bit older than you both arrived at our temple with three children your age, a Miss Tsurugi, a sr. Le Chien, and a Ms. Cheng. Despite being keeper of the records I can distinctly recall the Lion, the Dragon, the Monkey, and the Mouse all being accounted for before their arrival. And now I see the two of you with the Ladybug and Cat. Am I wrong?”
Adrien and Bridget share an uncomfortable glance.
“Well… it’s kind of a long story-” Bridget starts
“The Rabbit.” Adrien lies easily. “The Rabbit wielder stranded us here from the future, which is why we have such strange attire as well. Terribly sorry for the inconvenience Master Han, but our friends are trying to find our way back home. We stayed behind as the order in this time hasn’t yet moved its influence onto Europe, and we’d stick out far more than our friends.”
Han Su blinks once before huffing a short laugh. “I must admit, that is surprising. Yet not too surprising.” He reaches behind him and pulls from a pouch hidden amongst his robes a dark wooden treasure chest. “I am glad to know my student was right, and our quest for change is not in vain.”
“Sir?”
“What do you know about a Guardian named Wang Fu, children?”
Fade to black and cue the intro.
When we get back we’re in a darkened corridor, it's some time before dawn, and lighting a candle is that young version of Fu we’ve seen before. He checks over the other side of his room, Tsering Wan, Wu Lian, and Zhao Kai are all asleep in a big pile and he sighs, silently sliding across the threshold of the door and crossing the hall to check up on the ‘new kids’ we don’t see inside that check though, he just checks on them, sighs again and closes the door.
Carefully Young Fu makes his way through the corridors of the children’s building, and outside.
“Xiao Fu?” Fu freezes and spinning around he sees an elder before him, “It’s hours still before the dawn, why are you up and about?”
“I.. uh.. I couldn’t sleep elder, I thought I may as well meditate for a time before the dawn comes.”
“I see.”
“Elder…?” The candle flame finally illuminates the elder’s face and Fu looks confused. “I.. do not recognize you, in this dim light.”
“How bold to state outright Wang Fu. You will know me soon.” he reaches forward and his robes shift, revealing the scorpion medallion hanging from his neck. “Little traitor.”
Fu’s eyes go wide, and the candle’s light goes out when it clatters to the ground.
There’s a shuffling sound, a door opening, and when the elder can relight the candle, the boy is nowhere to be seen. The man lets out a growl, before spinning on his heels and storms back down the hall. “Have it your way, heroes.”
Slowly, the view shifts to one of the bedrooms, Fu being held by someone else, a hand over his mouth, and two figures in front of him, peering out from a crack in the door, before finally closing it all the way, and one of them goes to light a candle to cast the room in a soft glow.
“Sorry ‘bout that, Xiao-Fu right?” The figure behind him says in a soft voice, and the hand finally releases his mouth. “We heard what he was saying… and we may have overreacted.”
“Just a smidge” another figure adds on, Marinette’s familiar voice surprisingly thick with emotion. “We uh… We’re all used to looking out for each other, you know? The most important thing; to look out for each other.” Fu seems to calm down a little.
“We must remain quiet.” Kagami reminds them all quickly. “Don’t forget most here are not like us. They will follow their rules before their own consciences.”
“You three are…different?” Fu asks after a beat. “You see things as they are as well?”
“And as they could be.” Marinette agrees. “Ma-.. Xiao-Fu. We've been brought here in an attempt to change our minds about the state of the order, but we choose to work to improve it, just as you and your master do.”
“R-Really?” Fu’s whole expression lights up, excitement and hope making him beam in the dim light. “Oh! Oh this is wonderful! They must hear us out if we have so many young recruits on our side! Master Han will be so pleased to meet you all! You have to-!... To…” His expression dims, looking to the side. “The elders already know though… That elder he called me a-”
“That wasn’t one of your elders.” Kagami responds with certainty. “He’s an imposter. Here to force the lot of us into compliance.”
“Really creepy guy too.” Kim tacks on. “One of our friends called him out on his bull and he’s been trying to kill her ever since.”
“KILL her? That’s not our way!” Fu responds, aghast. “Even for those who oppose us we never kill!”
“Something tells me he hasn’t been following the way for awhile now.”
“Who is he? We must warn the others before someone gets hurt!” Fu begins to stand, but just as he gets to his feet a bell rings. There’s a short chorus of groans coming from another room and Fu looks around, suddenly very panicked.
“The dawn, they can’t see that I was out!” He darts for the door but for only a moment pauses. “You three should change out of those strange clothes, I'll tell everyone I was getting you some proper robes.”
Fu shut the door.
“So Ts- So scorpion is gonna go straight for Fu now that he’s back here. What a surprise.” Marinette huffs as the door slides open again, Kim taking the offered sets of clothing easily before tossing the small two sets in Marinette and Kagami’s directions and turning his back to either of them as he changes.
Marinette and Kagami follow suit.
“Quite frankly I'm surprised he wasted any time toying with us at all.” Kagami responds dryly. “We should have known he’d go right for Master Fu.”
“Little Fu, would it be right now?” Kim asks from his side of the room. “I mean he IS younger than us. He hasn’t BECOME our master yet.”
“Semantics.” Marinette decides upon. “We need to protect him. Scorpion wants us to surrender, he wants us to feel bad for him so we’ll stop fighting. And you know what? Maybe in some level it’s right, because it DOES suck that this entire place got raised to the ground because nobody could even consider changing or talking it over like fucking adults.” She finishes getting ready and turns around. “But it doesn’t excuse what he’s done And that’s what matters.”
“I frankly don’t hold any sympathy whatsoever.” Kagami agrees. “He was a child when this happened, yes, but it was the failure of the adults in their lives that caused the war, not Fu.”
“Plus, like… He only blamed Fu because there was no one else alive that he could blame, like let’s be real.” Kim adds on. “I’m sure if Fu’s teacher was still alive he’d have blamed him too.”
The door slides open and Wu Lian poles her little head in. “It’s time for Morning duties.”
“Thank you little one.” Marinette chirps with a ‘babysitter voice’ “We’ll be Riiigghhhttt out.”
“Your friend is waiting for you already. Hurry up.” Wu Lian states dryly as she closes the door.
“....Not gonna lie, that's disturbing.” Kim says after a beat. “I cannot be the only one disturbed about the Wolf being so little right now, right? She’s like Tam’s age!”
“It is perturbing to see Tsering Wan as a contemporary I must agree.” Kagami responds, putting Lonng’s choker back around her neck.
“....I mean I’ll live.” Marinette looks nervous and chuckles. “I’ve been more weirded out before.”
There’s a nod between the three of them as they exit.
Sure enough dressed in the same clothes as the lot of them, Sun Min is waiting just outside.
“Ah! My recruits! The Great Guardian hasn’t decided on your tests just yet, so we’re all just gonna get used to the temple for a time! I’ll admit it’s changed quite a lot since I was here.” Sun Min laughs as the three approach, and he leans in after a moment. “There’s some sort of secret exit, we’ve gotta find it and make our way back to Agreste and St Clair.”
“I thought you said we should play along and see what Scorpion’s doing with all of this?”
“We don’t have time. We need to get back. It’s today. Wang Fu’s hearing. Tsering Wan’s going to try and stop it, he’s probably gonna kill him to do it. We need to leave. Now.”
The three nod. But just as they’re about to leave another young voice calls out.
“Hey! New kids!” Little Tsering runs up, huffing and puffing for air, apparently having been pretty far away before doubling back. “Master- uff huff- Master Han will be covering your training. Wielder of Justice you’re -huff huff- The Great Guardian wants to see you.” Tsering wan gestures for the three to follow him, and Kagami looks over at Sun Min, who hesitates for a moment, looking like he’s trying to remember something, before nodding. “Don’t worry, Master Han isn’t scary.”
Marinette doesn’t take her eyes off of Little Tsering as they follow him, clearly looking about a moment’s note away from putting him in a damn chokehold.
But we follow Sun Min as he approaches the main temple. He looks… more than a little nervous, but just as he seems to steel himself over his eyes crack open and peer to the side. “Talking to your younger self? Here I thought you weren’t going to chance causing a paradox.”
“I’m not familiar with the term, Sun Min.”
“You know, interacting with your past self could blow up the world?”
“Hm. I suppose your teacher was too lax in handling you. Manabe should have known better.”
“Don’t drag anyone else into this.”
“You’ve seen our order as its prime, spoken with the elders, had a night to sleep on it, Sun Min. Do you truly have it in you to be a traitor?”
“You have a very loose definition of betrayal, Master Wan.” Sun Min folds his arms. “What was even the point of this plan of yours? To convince me? To convince Ladybug?” He huffs “Oh wait, this wasn’t YOUR plan was it. It was Miss Sancour’s! So it would be Chat Noir to convince! Too bad then-” He pulls out his own Miraculous just as Tsering Wan pulls out the scorpion medallion. “Adrien’s not even here TO convince! You get to Little Fu yet? Or are you waiting for his hearing to end? He has to be marked a traitor before it's forgivable to kill, right?”
“You’re making a mistake Sun Min.”
“I think my biggest mistake was blindly listening to you for so long. Valoor-”
“Don’t cause a scene, child.”
“-Transform me.”
We cut back then to the children, Little Tsering guiding the team through the temple, twisting and turning pathways clearly made as meditation paths, as he’s pretty obviously being stared down by three very suspicious kids about his age.
“Is there a problem?”
“Nope.” “We’re fine.” “Nothing at all.”
Eventually they reach the mouth of a cave. “Master Han prefers his training in absolute darkness, makes for better instinctual responses, so he’ll be right through here.” The three pass by him, but before Marinette does she grabs his arm.
“Miss Cheng?”
“You’re the oldest right? Among the little ones?” He nods. “Be kinder to them. They’re trying just as hard as you are.”
Little Tsering’s brow furrows as he pulls away. “Noted, Miss Cheng.” Marinette lets him go, and Little Tsering huffs in confusion before shaking his head. “She’s lucky I've got things to do today.”
“Tsering! Tsering! Tsering! Tsering!” Sure enough, running down the path in a very similar way Little Tsering had done before Little Fu approached. “Tsering! The elders are saying they want to speak with me, and I don’t know what happened?! Is it something bad? Did you get a council with the elders when you were my age? Am I gonna get kicked out?! I didn’t DO anything!”
Little Tsering huffs and rolls his eyes. “Calm down. It's probably the ‘proper adolescence’ talk. I DID get one a few years ago myself. Don’t worry. They just want you to know about what behaviors are discouraged here. You weren’t raised here, you wouldn’t know.” Tsering looks him up and down, Fu still looks upset, but now embarrassed. “Fine, whatever, come here I'll walk you there.” he throws an arm around Fu’s shoulders in a camaraderie type way.
And watching from the darkness still, Marinette furrows her brow. “It’s weird to think… that they used to-”
“Be anything but bitter enemies?” Kagami huffs back.
“Yeah…”
“Well… are we actually gonna find this Han Su dude or not?” Kim asks further in the cave. “I mean The Lion did say we should be leaving quick as we can-”
“Are you guys okay?” The echo of the cave distorts the sound but soon enough the tamp-tamp of footsteps makes itself apparent and training the corner is a head of blonde hair glimmering in the duim cave light.
“Adrien?!” “Adrien!” “Bridget’s here too girls.”
But Adrien has already zipped over and thrown his arms around either girl’s necks. Kim gets a big wry grin but just as he and Marinette make eye contact and he looks about to Say SomethingTM Bridget and Han Su turn the corner as well. “Oh good, Bridget didn’t get brutally murdered.” he opts for instead.
“Glad to know you care.” Bridget responds evenly. “Everyone, this is Han Su, an elder of the order of Miraculous, and the teacher to a young one named Wang Fu.”
“It’s uhm… it’s very nice to meet you, sir.” Marinette tries, only barely prying herself free from Adrien’s death grip, Kagami afterward easily pulling Adrien off of her.
“It’s wonderful to meet you as well.” Han Su walks up and takes one of Marinette's hands in his own. “Your friend spoke very highly of you and yours, Marinette. To think my Fu could train such an accomplished guardian…”
Marinette’s eyes widen and when she turns to Adrien he meets her eye easily, a choice, not a slip. Marinette nods at him briefly before turning back to Han Su. “Your student became an excellent master, Master Han. He’s… he’s the reason we’ve made it as far as we have.”
“That’s wonderful. I only wish I could have seen him come into his own.” Han Su sighed with a grin. Before, after a moment, it faded. “But we must refocus. You five were sent here against your will, and thus you must return home. Tell me, the Rabbit can only go as far back as its wielder’s personal timeline. Who was the one that sent you all to this time? I can only assume what has been brewing has finally reached its boiling point in regard to the time in question.” Han Su thinks for a moment “Is it soon? The Order will change its ways soon? Is that why you were sent here?”
There’s ‘looks’ traded between the kids before Marinette answers. “Tsering Wan. He didn’t take too well to the direction things went, and uh…”
“Let’s just say that he and the Scorpion Kwami are very good friends nowadays-” Adrien continues.
Han Su looks troubled for a brief moment before he composes himself and takes a deep breath. “That is.. Troubling to say the least. Tsering Wan is one of the most promising of the young ones, he must have made a very powerful warrior indeed to pose such a threat upon turning against us. I can only assume then that he fled from being removed from the order with the virtue of revenge?”
Now it’s Kagami that thinks quickly “Indeed. He’s been causing a ruckus ever since. His vengeance sworn onto his Kwami has sustained his life in a way that Master Fu’s direct exposure to a miracle box had enabled.”
Marinette picks back up “Our… friend… Sun Min is currently in the temple at this time and he’s keeping an eye on things, but I’m starting to get worried. We don’t want to do anything to disrupt the past, but I fear if Sun Min and Tsering Wan run into each other, they’ll cause a ruckus, and that could easily jump the track of fate.”
“If you came back via the Burrow, then you wouldn’t be changing our own experiences. Your past is your own, and you return to your present no matter the changes. The alterations you make create another world. You don’t need to worry about changing the past young one, your memories will remain.” Han Su puts a hand on Marinette’s shoulder, but she, Adrien and Kagami seem to have a minor realization (framed comedically)
“...We’ll unpack that later.” Adrien says after a beat. “Let’s just go stop Tsering Wan and Sun Min from killing each other.”
Comedy cut to Sun Min getting slammed into the ground, parts of the stone beneath cracking and popping up a bit as he hits.
“Your form is weak, sloppy. You move without thinking and strike without calculation.” Tsering Wan strides up, but Sun Min swipes his leg out as he hits the ground.
“You’re trying to sound like a teacher so no one will stop you!”
“I AM a teacher. It’s hardly my fault some students refuse to LEARN.” Tsering Wan takes out the spear at the same time Sun Min draws the knuckles. But just as the two seem about to make impact, a Shelter gets in the way, a huge wide wall shelter instead of the bubble we’re used to.
“What?!” Tsering Wan looks around, clearly looking for a certain someone, but the first spot of green he seeks out is Han Su, wearing the turtle himself. “My brother, I understand the height of passion, but we do not train the young ones with our weapons. It’s not the way.” Han Su places a hand on Tsering Wan’s shoulder and seems kind of sympathetic to him. Tsering Wan’s gaze darts to the hand, then back to Han Su, and seems a strange mix between perplexed and furious. But just as he reached for Han Su’s hand, to likely remove it, There’s movement in the corner of his eye and when he turned Sun Min has been joined by the rest of the team.
“What did you intend to accomplish here?” Sun Min asks quietly. “We all know how the story goes. And so do you. So why bother trying to change it?”
“Because he was young, very young, little lion.” Han Su responds for him. He shifts his grip on Tsering Wan’s shoulder, and seems to try and appeal to him. “A very traumatic and confusing thing happened in his youth and he simplified it in terms of black and white as to make it process in his mind better. But that doesn’t mean it's too late. All that must be done is to return you all to your time and you may all work this out as one. The Order will understand why our friend has gone astray and-”
“...Why I’VE gone astray?” Thaaatttt was probably the worst thing he could have said. Tsering Wan’s expression hardens over into offence and fury. “Is THAT what they’ve told you?! That I’M the one who turned from our ways?!”
The dark brown energy of the scorpion quickly mixes with the well familiar by now black energy of the Akuma as in his rage, Tsering Wan opens another void, this one in the sky. The wind whips and the trees shake as pieces of stone begin to crumble. “This was a false world! This entire setup was false!” Tsering Wan shouts over the din. “The powers I was given did not return me to the world as it was but how those who descended first would see it. These CHILDREN wanted to be the ones justified so they are! But this is not the Order of my youth nor is it the order as it is now.” He takes out the spear and swipes at Han Su, who is barely able to dodge. “And I will not let this farce stay on this mountain for even a second’s more time!”
“Great, this again.” Kim mutters. But just as the others intend on trying to overwhelm Tsering Wan, another comes in. The blade of the spear hitting the space between the blade and handle of a sickle. A younger monk, appearing somewhere in his 30s or so, intercepted them, his uniform black and white and Miraculous a bicep band curled around his upper arm.
“Elder you must think! Your mind has been compromised from overexposure to Misso!” The young man tries, but Tsering Wan throws him off of him and into the Shelter wall with ease. But soon one by one other warrior class wielders are coming toward Tsering Wan, wielding Miraculous we haven’t seen, some trying to save their less able elders and brothers from being sucked into the portal, others ready to neutralize the threat.
“Someone get to the Great Guardian, the temple cannot fall!” Han Su shouts just as the spear clashes against the shield. However, just as it seems Tsering Wan is about to gain the upper hand against Han Su in particular, the string of a yoyo wraps around his wrist and causes his arm to go wide.
Bridget looks uncomfortable in the Ladybug suit, but her outfit is summarily different to how it was in the Bad Future. “Didn’t… didn’t your mommy ever tell you to be careful with sharp things?”
This Bridget was Nimh first. This Bridget was a member of the Order of Miracles.
“You think a little Ladybug can stop me?” Tsering Wan all but sneers, and Bridget finally adopts a small smirk, and the man stops.
“Whoever said I was Ladybug?” She counters, and her posture shifts, and with the force of someone who worked with a jump rope for a weapon, flings him against the Shelter hard enough to crack the surface ever so slightly before the man can register the shift. “I’m...uh… Henten Akai!”
“How cute. A little mouse thinks herself a Ladybug.” Tsering Wan counters, he smirks, glances at the wire binding his arm and plucks the length. “Vengeance.” Dark brown energy releases the wire from his arm and travels down the length of it until it reaches Henten Akai, wrapping itself around her own arm in turn. Tsering Wan gives it a sharp pull and she’s flung off of her feet, but just as he reaches to grab the rapidly flying forward girl, Henten Akai smirks and grabs his arm in her own.
Y’all remember that trick Adiren and Marinette pulled on Tsering Wan aaaaalll the way back in The Scorpion?
A dozen Multimice dart from their connected limbs and Begin, not trying to fight, but searching for his Akuma object. Every little Multimouse pulling at accessories and seeing which ones come off or not.
“You-! You little!”
“Ryuuko! Whip up a storm!” Chat calls out as he pole vaults over the Shelter still between most of the heroes and Tsering Wan.
“With pleasure. Stormbreaker!” Kagami once again turns into the wind, this time without intent to go inside, but begins spiralling around the vortex, in the opposite direction as the wind itself, going faster and faster, and slowly the sucking power of the wind begins to let up as its cancelled out.
“Roi, try to bottleneck that vortex! See if you can get it to stop being so.. You know!”
“Vortex-y Got it! Uproar!” a small keychain with a smiling chibi monkey grins up at Roi Singe, who grins back before jumping as high as he could, throwing the keychain directly into the portal. Before we see the result we follow back with Chat who has fallen beside Sun Min and the two begin to make swipes for Tsering Wan.
“Chat here!” One of the Multimice throws up a small charm that hangs from Tsering Wan’s Spear, and Chat snaps it in half.
“Nothing Mousinette!”
“Damn!”
When she finds the next loose article, the spear ITSELF, she searches for the black cat, but finds only a Lion waving, and though hesitant, she throws it at him. “GO LONG!”
Sun Min grins, and smashes the staff between his brass knuckles. The Akuma releases.
Tsering Wan makes a grab for the Spear before it shatters, but has to pull away as he gets near Henten Akari and she makes a swipe for his medallion. And he backs right up into another young figure, who grabs his arm and quickly spins him around, pinning it to his back.
The Akuma is Purified, but Henten Akari is stopped by Multimouse from releasing the Miraculous Cure.
“My lady?” Chat asks quietly, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Is something wrong?”
“No just… It’s fine. Just wait… a moment longer, I want to check on something.”
She darts away and vanishes into the temple proper. Chat seems to realize what she's doing because he takes off after her. “Miracle Cure should be still working for another hour or so, just give us like ten minutes!” He calls out to Henten Akari.
Chat quickly catches up with Multimouse and the two start to search for a certain room in the temple.
“What are we looking for?”
“Probably a large room with lots of dais for the Miracle boxes” But then there was the faintest sound and the two creep for the entryway. Sure enough behind a large yet simple door there was a large room with dais’ for multiple Miracle Boxes. All of which having the same treasure chest design that the Miracle Box Han Su held had.
“No! I’m sure I heard something!”
“Elder we may investigate in a moment’s time but we must consider what is in front of us. Wang Fu, your thoughts as a member of this order have been heard. But as the Order of Miraculous, we have a set of rules that must be obeyed.”
“The rules must change! Great Guardian I mean no disrespect, but is it not the very nature of the universe itself to change? If we as an Order continue to shut ourselves off and blind our eyes to the world around us, we become complicit in atrocities and cruelties that were otherwise unprecedented when the rules were made! We have a chance to aid those who are being treated with cruelties in systems that were made to be cruel! We could change everything for the better!”
“And are you so aware of what would be better, young Fu?” The Great Guardian asks. “Are you so sure that you would lead others down a path that could lead to yet more untold cruelty with it? Your arrogance besets your age, child.”
“And yours besets your cowardice!” Fu snaps back. The Great Guardian appears unshaken, merely raising a brow at him, but Fu instantly pales.
“Hm. Perhaps we were too hasty in allowing you to continue your training. Though it’s far too late now.” The Great Guardian folds his arms and thinks for a moment. “There is no changing your mind. Not truly, if you were allowed to continue on you would no doubt deceive us into thinking your heart changed while you defy our teachings behind closed doors.” Fu shakes his head and takes a step back, and Adrien looks about to go in there, but Marinette grabs his arm. She shakes her head.
“On the coming dawn, Wang Fu shall be removed from the Order and sent on his way.” The Great Guardian decides with a nod. ”Inform Han Su of his student’s removal as to ensure a lack of miscommunication.”
Adrien is about to charge in again, but Marinette tugs at his arm, trying to pull him away, and with one last glare in the direction of the room, Adrien follows. Good thing too, as just as they turn the corner the doors open and Fu is being restrained by an elder while another walks out with great urgency.
But we keep following Marinette and Adrien as they curve through hallways and down corridors until Adrien stops them both in a darkened corridor, far from the natural daylight. “Marinette! Wait, hold on!” Marinette stops once he tugs back on her arm. But she doesn’t turn to him. “This isn’t the right way.”
“...Oh? I didn’t notice, sorry I got turned around.” She still isn’t turning, and Adrien looks… kind of upset now. “I’m sure if we just follow the sun we’ll find the-”
“Why are you okay with this?”
Marinette pauses, she’s still not looking at him. “...What do you mean, Adrien?”
“THIS! We went back in time! Met our mentor! Were given PROOF that time travel doesn’t change our own stories which means the Bad future we saw still happened! AND THEN you wouldn’t even let me keep THIS Fu from suffering! With the Great Guardian and the elders against Master Fu the War is still going to happen! He’s still going to lose all his friends and almost kill Tsering Wan making SCORPION exist! He’s gonna blame himself for Like a hundred seventy years or whatever for the WHOLE thing!”
“-And he’ll meet Marianne, and us.” Marinette’s vice sounds weak.
“And My father and Nathalie will get the Peacock and the Butterfly!” Adrien counters. “Why are you okay with this?!”
“I’M NOT!” Marinette finally turns and Adrien can see the tears welling in her eyes. “I’M NOT OKAY WITH IT ADRIEN! I’M NOT OKAY WITH A LOT OF THINGS!” She gestures widely as she paces back and forth. “I’m Not okay with us being down a Miracle Box! I’m not okay with the enemy knowing our identities! I’m not okay with being DEAD in the bad future! I’m not okay with MASTER FU being GONE and We didn’t even get to say GOODBYE! And I'm NOT OKAY with Kagami having to step up and be a third leader because I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M DOING! And I’m not okay with constantly getting between you two and I’m not okay with the fact that I AM okay with Chloe dating my ex and I’m not okay with Sun Min, and I’m not okay with the idea that we couldn’t have changed the Great Guardian’s mind about Fu! ” She chokes on a sob and scrubs angrily at her eyes. “I am NOT ‘Okay’ with this, Adrien.”
Adrien of course is full Instant Regret about being mad, and reaches out before hesitating, like he doesn’t know what to do. “I’m always tired, and always stressed and Alya and Kagami feel like they need to solve everything themselves, and Chloe still blames herself for losing the Miracle Box, I’m pretty sure Luka has PTSD, Amber hasn’t processed ANYTHING about her trauma in regards to her mother, Nino’s been getting worse mentally since his father showed up, Kim’s still freaking out about being dead in the Bad Future, Alix keeps trying to jump headfirst into fights, and Max feels like he doesn’t contribute anything to the group.”
“And you’re already dealing with WAY too much for me to put any of that on your shoulders.” she finally surmises. “It’s… it’s a lot, Adrien. It’s just a lot. And I'm not… I’m not asking you to ignore your own shit for me, I’d never do that to you, but-”
“PLEASE tell me to ignore my own shit to help you, Marinette.” He finally speaks up here, taking Marinette’s upper arms in his grasp and leading the both of them to sit down. “I’m begging you Marinette. Please trust that no matter WHAT shit I’m going through that I will ALWAYS pick helping you over stewing in my own self pity.” He squeezes her arms briefly, making damn well sure she’s looking at him. “We’ve been relying on each other since day one, and I’ll admit, for a long while there I wasn’t a good partner. I was so blinded by this fairytale definition of ‘love’ that I went absolutely crazy over it. I put you on a pedestal no person could EVER live up to, but that’s what got me to understand.” He removed one hand from her arm to cup her cheek gently.
“I didn’t understand what it meant back then, but I do now.”
“I love you. I really, truly do. No Akumas messing with my perception. And I'm not gonna lie, I think I might still also be in love with Kagami so that might complicate things a bit, but that doesn’t mean I’m lying right now. Okay? I love you, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and I will do ANYTHING you need me to to lighten the load you’ve taken onto yourself. No matter if you feel the same, if you still have feelings for Luka, or if you love Kagami or Alya, or Kim, or Chloe or no one at all. That doesn’t matter to me. I love you. And no matter WHAT I’m going to be there for-!”
Marinette cuts him off by hastily pressing her lips to his.
We hold for just a moment before Marinette pulls away, scrubbing at her eyes and, looking more relieved than she has all season, laughing. “You’re so dramatic, Chaton.” She places her own hands on Adrien’s shoulders, and grins at him. “Truth be told, I think the whole Kagami thing won’t be an issue. That is, if you don’t mind sharing.”
Adrien doesn’t respond though, it seems as though Adrien.exe has stopped running, face bright red and staring at Marinette blankly. He sincerely didn’t expect that to happen it seems like.
But the shock passes quickly, and he blinks. “Oh! You mean it? You too?”
Marinette nods, cheeks pink. “We gotta-”
“-We should talk to Kagami once we’re back in our time.” they say at once.
“Should we head back out?”
“Bridget should still be transformed, we can just call her.”
“...One more minute then?” Marinette blinks but just as she asks why he brings her close for another kiss.
We cut away to the temple at large, and-
“Miraculous Ladybug!”
We cut to black.
But before we end for the mid season finale there’s a post credits sequence.
Ladybugs are just finishing sweeping the land of Paris back in the modern day, the vortex spits out the missing heroes, turncoat and villain, and everyone does the equivalent of looking at each other awkwardly for a moment before leaving.
But we only see them for a moment, because we see a portal closing just then on the scene, and an indigo suited turncoat hitting the ground with a brown gloved hand gripping at the peacock.
“Nice to meet you, M. Agreste.” Pegasus chirps. “My friends just got their identities exposed, but I didn’t. I have some questions about your mansion, specifically, the security systems. My team has a Miracle Box to recover.”
Episode end.

(Chapter is about 5000 words long. I recommend to read inside the previous fanfic links)
Kai and Alfida stood together in front of a library and looked at the description at the entrance about the opening time.
„Okay, this must be it,“ Alfida commented. „Shall we go in?“
Kai nodded, then opened the door to enter along with the girl into the library and looked around the place. Alfida showed Kai the reception, where a woman sat using the computer and the two went to encounter the woman.
„Good morning. We‘d like to know if it‘s possible for someone here to help us look for flight tickets to Paris,“ Kai spoke. „Our grandfather told us this was the only way he knew how to obtain and get information about,“ Kai asked earning a nod from the librarian.
„For your grandfather or for you two?“ Asked the librarian.
„Us two,“ Responded Kai.
„Age?“
„I‘m 15 and she‘s 16,“ Responded Kai.
„17,“ Corrected Alfida making Kai grin embarrassed.
„Okay and does it have to be a non-stop flight or a connecting flight?“
„If possible, the cheapest one,“ Added Alfida. „We gotta pay this on our own, eventually,“
„Alright I‘m looking for you two on Brian Airlines, a low-cost airline if you‘re okay with it,“ Stated the woman making the teens nod.
„There are no available low-cost flights to Paris. You would need to choose another destination and see from there, how you could go there to Paris,“ Responded the librarian.
„Well what more can you want, we‘re at the moment out of money and need to go there to get my sister back,“ Explained Kai earning a nod from the librarian.
„How did you get here, if I may ask?“
„It‘s a long story. We‘re really thankful for your help ma‘am,“
„We really are and I don‘t want to be rude or anything, but what are the prices of the available destinations? Are there close to Paris a bit?“ Asked the raven-haired girl the woman, which used her mouse to open the offers.
„60 Norwegian Kroner is if you fly to Vienna, in Austria. Wroclaw in Poland costs 50 Kroner and to Basle in Switzerland 60,“ Mentioned the librarian looking at the two teens.
„For two persons it‘s actually cheap,“ Kai mentioned glad making his crush nod.
„Oh, that‘s for each person,“ Corrected the librarian. „Each of you pays 50 or 60 bucks. So 100 or 120,“
„Oh…..okay, so looks like we have to stay here for a while and find a way to make some money for our flight,“ Kai mentioned making Alfida nod.
„Yeah, we better start to look for a way to obtain money. Maybe Hendrick has an idea and helps us out,“ Commented Alfida.
„I know I can make money with art, I just need to get myself a painting easel and colors. The issue is I will need money for that as well,“
„I‘m thinking about going to Orm and Hendrick and tell what‘s up. Hendrick mostly, he knows this world at the moment better than us,“
„I think you‘ve got a point,“ Kai agreed, then Alfida thanked the woman and walked along with the boy to the outside of the library. „Hey, should we head back to the troll kingdom and see, if we can unfreeze the others?“ Questioned Kai making Alfida shrug her shoulders.
„We could go and try, yeah,“ Replied the raven-haired. „Let‘s get out of here,“ Called Alfida walking the street up with the short boy.
As the school had ended Rollan was alone in the locker room looking at a small book he has as his agenda to see the homework he had noticed down for the week and stored the books we wouldn‘t need for now inside his locker.
„Ay, it‘s been a long time since I‘ve ever done homework. That looks like a lot than usual,“ Spoke Rollan, then stored his agenda inside his bag and got up to close his locker, then noticed his belt he encountered a few days ago. Rollan took the belt out to look at his initial letter and unlocked the aperture under it and tried to adjust it around his waist. „I…..almost got it,“ Commented Rollan trying to squeeze the thick textile through the bands of his pants. Rollan made it and closed his belt, then noticed the old-goldish tune of his symbol get lighter, making him furrow his left eyebrow and in front of him appeared a stone-creature in the air, then it dropped on the ground and it got split into two and both got up scratching their heads.
„Whoa,“ Rollan commented surprised as seeing the two creatures, then got down at the two. „What kind of creatures are you?“ Asked Rollan about to pat the slink creature, then yelped as he burnt his finger on it.
„Hey, hey, hey. Didn‘t you notice the magma on my head?“ Asked the slink stone creature watching Rollan shove his finger in his mouth. „It‘s hotter, than a day at the beach,“
„I‘m sorry,“ Apologized Rollan. „I was kinda astonished by seeing you two,“
„I‘m glad you‘re thinking that way,“ Commented the round creature. „Hey haven‘t we seen each other once? You‘re pretty familiar to me,“
„Not that I know,“ Responded Rollan. „Why?“
„I felt like I‘ve known you somehow,“ Responded the large stone-creature. „I‘m Coal by the way. You‘ve got a name as well?“
„Of course he does, Coal,“ Commented the slink stone creature, making Coal frown and punch him on his face making him fall down on the ground to split into two, now the third creature was much smaller than the slinker one.
„I‘m Rollan,“ Responded Rollan looking at the third creature, which got up along with the slinky one.
„If we‘re going to be together for the next amount of time. I would really love if I could walk on the ground on my own or be carried by you. Anytime I‘m hit or fall down, I split in two and if they fall as well, you‘ll have it worse than in a rabbit burrow,“ Coal commented seeing Rollan sit down on the bench looking at the trio,
„Can I at least know, why I am here talking to you three? What were you doing in my belt?“
„That‘s an excellent question, for some reason a foreign man mixed my powers into this belt, so I assume this would be a way to have the wielder be able to use the powers,“
„Powers?“ Asked Rollan curious. „What kind of powers?“ Asked Rollan, then he heard a loud noise on the outside of the building and ran at the window to look out and see the feet of a large robot stand there blocking the way to the buildings behind it. „Coal?!?“
„The power of fire“ Responded Coal. „You‘re able to create fire and use it,“
„Really? How can I do so?“ Asked the raven-haired boy. „Do I have to say anything?“
„You‘ll get the hand of it. You just have to transform and you‘ll be able to use the powers,“ Responded Coal watching Rollan look out of the window and hear someone scream, then the robot moved back and Rollan dropped his mouth knowing someone might be in trouble right now.
„Does this make me one of the good people if I use the firepower?“ Asked Rollan making the stone-creature shrug his shoulders.
„I‘m just here to follow your orders. Whatever path you chose, is up to you,“ Responded Coal watching Rollan look out of the window and frown.
„They need a hero? They will get one!“ Announced Rollan earning applause from the three stone-creatures.
„Then all you need to do is say, Coal, I‘m fired up,“ Stated the stone-creature.
„Coal, I‘m fired up! Ah ha, ha!“ Shouted Rollan opening up his arms and have his clothing get replaced by brown boots, pants, that were marked with fire-themed symbols resembling an engravure. On his body he wore a dark-brown pullover with small streaks, forming lava running down the clothing. Above the pullover, he wore a gray vest with similar patterns to the ones from the pants, and his belt, which now works as a miraculous was dark-red and the cover with Rollan‘s initial got brighter. His skin got darker along with his eyes and his hairstyle became fixed up resembling a fire flame with its colorings as well starting on the ground with dark brown, leading to red up to the end, which was orange and yellow.
„Wow!“ Commented Rollan astonished looking at his appearance, then ran at the exit and shrieked as the door got smacked back to encounter students from the fencing class run into the locker room accompanied by their class teacher.
„There‘s fire!“ Shouted a girl pointing at Rollan‘s superhero form, which looked around to spot the empty room.
„Where?“ Asked Rollan watching the disappear behind the locker while the rest of the team looked at the superhero. „Why is everyone looking at me as if my head was on fire?“ Asked Rollan and Mr. D‘Argencourt took out his smartphone to show Rollan his looks as a superhero and he got surprised as he saw himself as a superhero and his hair was burning at that exact moment. „Oh that‘s what you meant,“
„Get in here!“ Shouted a red-dressed fencing student, which stood at the entrance waiting for other students to leave the court and Rollan ran out heading to the field passing by a few students encountering Kim Chien Le, who he met on his first school day.
„Hey, Kim! Where‘s the danger?“ Asked Rollan watching Kim point at the outside, making Rollan nod and ran at the outside of the court to spot, a large, dark-blue car robot with two white stripes on its legs and arms holding with its left hand a police car with an agent in it. Rollan spotted on the ground Sabrina Raincomprix, which watched in shock the Roboter threatening her father.
„Papa!“ Shouted the redhead, making Rollan swallow hard.
At another part of the schoolhouse, Gerda was in the restroom washing her hands and moved to the side seeing there was no handpaper available, but a strange, electronic device, which had an etiquette with instruction on how to dry her hands in there. Gerda looked at her hands and slowly put them inside the device, which began to blow wind at Gerda‘s hands to dry them and the side of the device had a small display counting from ten down until it would stop drying. As it stopped Gerda took out her hands, then smiled at seeing it made its job good. Gerda picked up from the floor her bag, then walked out of the restroom out a the library opening up the bag to check her material, she had in it and noticed the wreath Rollan told to have found. Therefore the blonde removed the wreath from her bag, then looked at the reflection of a large metal cart and observed herself inserting the wreath on top of her head. As she‘s done that, a blue spirit appeared beside Gerda floating over the lavatory, shrieking at the girl at the sudden appearance of the small creature.
„Hello. I‘m Snowflake,“ Greeted the spirit. „I‘m coming in peace, don‘t worry. I‘m able to grant you powers...the power of ice,“ Explained Snowflake watching Gerda, which had gotten calmer. „With me, you‘ll be able to use ice. You‘ll be able to freeze things, create things, destroy things. A lot is possible if you learn to figure it out,“ „Like the….Snow Queen?“ Asked Gerda curious making the spirit nod, then she spotted someone and hid inside Gerda‘s backpack. „Hey!“ Shouted Gerda opening the backpack. „Get out of here, I need to talk to you,“ Gerda ordered, then she noticed at the end of the library a student, which was wearing a red hoodie and black pants staring at her confused. „I…..can‘t find my phone in there, but I‘m able to talk like this on it. That‘s pretty cool, isn‘t it?“ Asked Gerda faking a grin at the student.
„Uh…..we gotta hide, there‘s another akuma out there terrorizing the city,“ Stated the student making Gerda nod.
„I will come, don‘t worry,“ Responded Gerda watching the boy move on, then from Gerda‘s pocket came out the spirit, making her frown. „Why didn‘t you show up?“
„You‘re my new holder, right?“ Asked the spirit making Gerda shrug her shoulders.
„I don‘t know. You just appeared at the time I‘ve set this on my head,“ Commented Gerda making Snowflake nod.
„Then I assume you are if the wreath is supposed to go to you,“
„Maybe,“ Commented Gerda, then Snowflake floated forward and Gerda followed the spirit to see above the top of the room two TV screens hanging with the news of the akuma alert.
„Shadow Moth akumatized another citizen, which turned into an Autobot and is causing trouble in Paris,“ Explained the purple-haired moderator on TV.
„Oh oh, that‘s right here at our school,“ Commented Gerda earning a nod from the spirit.
„So what do you think? Do you want to give it a chance and use your powers to take down that monster over there?“ Questioned Snowflake. „I think the superheroes would love to have another helping hand. What do you think?“
„I‘ve never done this before. I don‘t know if I can even pull this off,“
„You can do that. You‘ve got me and my powers. You don‘t have to get worried about being hurt or killed. You're sheltered pretty well as long as you have me activated,“
„Okay I could give it a try,“ Gerda answered. „I‘ve defeated the Snow Queen once when I was younger. This will be easier…..I hope at least,“ Gerda commented, then Snowflake patted Gerda on her shoulder.
„Don‘t worry Gerda. You will do just fine. Say, Snowflake freeze and you‘ll transform,“ Added the creature making Gerda nod.
„Snowflake, Freeze!“ Shouted Gerda having her entire look exchanged. Her clothings had vanished and her entire body was covered in a long, blue winter coat with big snowflake patterns spread around the outfit. The wreath got the similar colors of the outfit, the hair had gotten lighter along with the skin, and around her eyes, up to the side of her ears, she wore a mix of ice-white and blue make-up powder with smaller dots and snowflake spread over it along a part of her cheek.
„Woah I look like a….a mini Snow Queen,“ Gerda commented. „Or no this looks like a regular winter cloak,“ Spoke Gerda, then heard the door of the library get kicked back by Kim Chien Le and Ethan, the student he played basketball with holding up the doors, so a few students ran in for safety. Gerda looked from the second floor at the two, then she had an idea and looked at the stairs beside her and looked at her hands, then held them open wide and shoot ice from her hands and she approached the stairs, so she would freeze them. Gerda smiled, then jumped on it sliding down at the first floor, then Gerda shrieked and pushed down a redheaded student and flenched her teeth in shock.
„I‘m sorry Nathaniel,“ Commented Gerda looking at the redhead scratch his head and look up at the girl bewildered from knowing his name. Gerda saw him not caring about what happened, then she ran out of the library and a few students got at the door to see the mysterious person, that had just run out of the library.
„I feel like I‘ve seen her before,“ Commented Kim making the blonde student shrug his shoulders watching the superheroine freeze the long stairs, to slide down on her back.
Rollan stood at the exit looking at the robot, which held the police car in his hands, then he whistled to catch the robot‘s attention.
„Hey! You have to pick someone who‘s worth your level!“ Shouted Rollan‘s alter ego, then he heard a whooshing sound and turned his head back to see the ice-themed superheroine come along. She had made herself a path to the exit with ice, where she was trying to slide on, but she ended up falling down on her front. Rollan got down on the ground to offer her his hand. She took his hand to get up, then tripped over the ice and hit her forehead on his nose, causing him to shake his head surprised at the mishap.
„Are you okay?“ Asked Rollan raising up the girl carefully, then looked into her blue eyes and got lost in them. „Que Hermosísimo...“ Commented Rollan making Gerda grin embarrassed at her slipping, then both turned around as they heard Sabrina cry about her father in danger.
„Have you got any idea?“ Asked Rollan. „I don‘t know, how I can get up there,“
„Maybe we should attack him from here,“ Suggested Gerda, then Rollan nodded and ran towards the supervillain, making Gerda drop her mouth. „What are you going to do?“ Asked Gerda watching the superhero move his arms back causing two fireballs on the hands, then jumped up and hit with them the feet of the supervillain, causing the metal of the feet to melt a little. Rollan looked up at the robot, which moved his feet hard yeeting Rollan across the air, so he would crash with his back against the wall of the school. Gerda ran at the superhero to check for him, then helped him sat up.
„Are you okay?“ Asked Gerda making him nod.
„Yah,“ Replied the brunette. „My fire isn‘t powerful enough to harm him,“
„I saw,“ Responded Gerda and looked at the supervillain, which used his other hand to open the door of the police car, then stopped as the policeman began to shot with his gun at him.
„I think I have an idea,“ Gerda said running at the robot then used her ice power to build around the feet of the robot ice and Rollan sat up observing her doing that. Rollan looked up at the robot, then at the schoolhouse, and had an idea, then run into the school building leaving Gerda alone trying to stop the villain with her ice power.
For a long while, Gerda continued using her ice power seeing she made it to froze the feet of the robot in it, then smiled as he didn‘t move his feet in it. Gerda raised her hand in victory, then the robot tried to pull out his right leg, making pressure on the ice, which began to decay, making Gerda wide her eyes as her plan didn‘t quite work well.
From above the schoolhouse, Gerda spotted Rena Rouge fly against the car, then catapult herself away from it, while pushing Roger Raincomprix out of the vehicle and she landed on the ground, followed by catching the heavy man almost bringing the heroine down on the ground.
„Gosh! Are you heavy!“ Complained Rena Rouge, then the supervillain broke out off the ice and Gerda ran in Rena‘s direction throwing ice at the supervillain to stop him, unsuccessfully.
„Sorry, we‘re new here,“ Gerda commented watching Rena Rouge drop the policeman on the ground, which ran to his daughter and shrieked as the robot dropped the police car over the two.
„Watch out!“ Shouted Rena Rouge then Gerda used her ice power causing a long bridge to appear over the Raincomprix‘s and it hit the bridge, causing it to break, making Gerda scream and before it fell on top of the family Ladybug showed up, coming from the school and used her yo-yo to pull them away, before getting hurt.
„Well done, Ladybug!“ Chanted Rena Rouge, then Ladybug pointed at the school court, where the two members ran into and Ladybug noticed the foreign girl and figured out, that she was wearing the ice miraculous.
„Where did you find that miraculous?“ Asked Ladybug pointing at the wreath.
„It‘s actually mine,“ Gerda responded. „Or it‘s very identical to the wreath I lost,“
„Look….“Ladybug commented, then she heard the shatter of a window, then looked up along with Gerda to see the fire-themed superhero jump out off the window against the supervillain, landing on the middle of his leg, then he used both hands to create a fireball and grabbed the iron of his leg to melt it.
Ladybug facepalmed, then watched Gerda use her ice power to freeze the leg of the villain, then she stopped as she saw the robot push Rollan off his leg into his doom, then Gerda quickly used her ice to freeze the villain‘s foot and Rollan landed on the ice, slipping against Gerda's arms, which caught him. The boy grinned abashedly, then got dropped to the ground as Ladybug approached the duo.
„I see both of you are new. Per coincidence, I already defeated this villain once. The main goal is getting into the head of the villain and destroy the car keys,“ Stated Ladybug, then she heard Cat Noir‘s staff and looked from above the houses behind the bakery to see the cat-themed superhero come along and land on the head of the supervillain, then he knocked on the head of the supervillain.
„Cou cou!“ Greeted Cat Noir gazing upside down into the cabin of the car to see the human, that was akumatized and used his staff to break the windshield, then the robot moved with his upper body hastily causing Cat Noir to fall off, then grab himself on the waist of the robot.
„How shall we get up without any help?“ Asked Gerda looking at Ladybug, then Rena Rouge had an idea and grabbed the girl on her shoulder.
„Follow me you two,“ Asked Rena Rouge switching from Gerda to Rollan, then both followed the fox-themed superheroine and Ladybug looked at her yo-yo, then threw it up to activate her lucky charm.
„Lucky charm!“ Shouted the heroine, then received a large ladder and chuckled about it. „Wow this is actually useful….in a way,“ Commented the spotted heroine, then looked around the place and noticed the car of the police agent lie broken in front of the stairs, then she had an idea and ran at the car to place the ladder over the car. Ladybug watched Cat Noir jump off the Autobot, landing on the ground, and observed the Autobot hit himself on the leg, making Cat Noir grin.
„You‘ve got a plan, bugaboo?“ Asked Cat Noir, then Ladybug pointed at the ladder.
„I had expected you to remain up on Apace there for a little longer and jump down at the ladder, but now I think you‘ve gotta do it in another way,“
„From above the school?“ Suggested Cat Noir, then heard the window of the school getting broken, then both looked up to see Rollan‘s superhero form fly towards the supervillain, getting closer to his head, beginning to distract him. „I wasn‘t aware he could do that,“ Cat Noir commented surprised making Ladybug chuckle.
„Rena is quite imaginative, isn‘t she?“ Asked Ladybug looking at Cat Noir, which then understood, Ladybug had already figured out it was an illusion. Rollan‘s alter ego jumped out off the window and Cat Noir jumped at the middle of the ladder and got on the top of it, making the ladder swank down and Rollan‘s landing on the other side catapulted Cat Noir up at the driver cabin, thereafter Cat Noir broke with his staff the side of the window, then blocked with it the driver and activated his cataclysm to destroy his car keys to reveal the akuma.
„Bingo!“ Cat Noir chanted, then the villain packed Cat Noir on his head, trying to hold him down, and moved his hand close to Cat Noir‘s hand.
„Why is it taking so long?“ Asked Rollan looking at Ladybug, which noticed Cat Noir‘s odd movements from down, then she looked up at the roof to see Rena Rouge and Gerda‘s alter ego.
„Hey, snowgirl! Jump down and help the fire guy up at the robot head to help Cat Noir out!“ Ordered Ladybug, then Gerda looked down at Rollan‘s alter ego, which waited for her to jump down. „Don‘t worry,“
„Come on, you‘ll do just fine. I trust you,“ Rollan said loud, then Gerda jumped down landing with her feet on the end of the ladder catapulting Rollan up on the robot, then he landed on top of Cat Noir and grabbed the hands of the villain to prevent him to remove the ring off Cat Noir‘s hands.
„What‘s the next plan?“ Asked Rollan, then Cat Noir moved his head to look at the villain trying to find another place, where an amok could be located eventually.
„Do you see here anything loose?“ Asked Cat Noir, then Rollan looked around noticing on the rearview mirror a religious necklace hanging on it. He then kept looking around the vehicle and glanced back at the mirror.
„What about the necklace on the mirror?“ Asked Rollan making the superhero nod.
„That must it be, destroy it,“ Ordered Cat Noir, then Rollan picked the necklace and pressed it tight together causing fire with his hands, so it would get pulverized by him, then a blue feather flew out off the broken windshield making Cat Noir smile. „Well done,“ Complimented Cat Noir and Rollan watched the feather fly out, then they heard Ladybug activate her healing light to restore everything back to normal and around the robot passed by her light and removed the robot, dropping the two superheroes on the ground. Rollan got confused, afterward looked around himself to see, what had happened and looked at Cat Noir.
"Is your hair really burning?" Asked Cat Noir looking at the rookie, which was checking the surroundings wondering, where the robot had gone.
„Where did the robot go?“ Asked Rollan. Cat Noir spotted the citizen, that had been de-akumatized appear on the ground and beside him stood a blue, American muscle car. Cat Noir got up and went down on his knees to check on the man.
„Did you get caught on another illegal race, Anthony?“ Asked Cat Noir making the man shake his head.
„Not really, but I broke the speed limit and got my license taken away. I actually deserved it anyway, but I have let the anger take over me,“ Explained the driver, then Rollan looked into the car to see the necklace on the mirror, then got down to the man as well.
„That necklace in there, I used to have one from my mother, but I‘ve lost it,“ Commented Rollan.
„I‘ve got it there as a lucky charm,“ Stated the driver. „But I should really keep the velocity down. Not because of my life, I could bring someone else in danger or even erase someone‘s life, who‘s most likely to be innocent,“
„We never know,“ Commented Cat Noir, then Rollan got up to approach Ladybug, Rena Rouge and Gerda‘s alter ego, then smiled at the girls.
„We‘re not quite the skilled heroes here,“ Commented Rollan. „I‘m not sure, how we got to be them or if we deserve it,“
„Actually I‘ve lost your two‘s miraculouses during my last fight and I needed to retrieve it, but you two were fighting without any hesitation and trying to help. I think I‘ll let you keep them. Now that Shadow Moth is stronger than before it would be really good to have more team members. This was your first time, you two will gain skills with the time,“
„Yes,“ Agreed Gerda looking at Rollan‘s alter ego, which smiled at her and bowed down at the girl.
„Have you two actually a name?“ Asked Rena. „You know a superhero one?“
„Exactly, no one has to know who our identity is. No one. This is most important, cause if Hawk Moth knows about our other identity, we and our family and friends will be in danger,“
„Sure,“ Responded Rollan.
„I promise,“ Gerda added.
„So, what‘s your hero name?“ Asked Ladybug. „Paris needs to know, who these two newbies are,“
„Well I would need to think about how I should call myself...something feminine,“ Stated Gerda while Rollan pondered about it.
„Fire King, I‘m Fire King,“ Stated Rollan making Ladybug smile.
„It does‘t have to be complicated. Something very simple like uhm….Ice Queen“ Suggested Ladybug making Rena chuckle.
„Or Frosty, Frosty-girl, Queen Frost…….Ice Frost….“ Suggested the Fire King making Gerda chuckle, then she figured out a name she could use.
„Hey, I think I‘ve got one…...What about, Lady Frost?“
„It‘s up to you, if you like it,“ Mentioned Ladybug earning a nod from Rena Rouge.
„I like it,“ Rena commented making Gerda smile.
„I find it suits you,“ Added Fire King earning a nod from the light blonde girl, then Ladybug lifted her fist up in the middle, then watched Cat Noir and Rena Rouge get beside the two and look at the two newbies. Rena Rouge moved her eyes calling the attention of the two rookies, which smiled and placed their one hand in the middle to do a group fist bump.
„Pound it!“ Said the group together, seconds later Fire King and Lady Frost repeated their sentence, then saw Cat Noir‘s ring beep.
„Oh excuse me, I gotta go, see you another time,“ Cat Noir said waving at the group.
„How long have you been superheroes if I may ask?“ Questioned Lady Frost watching Ladybug think about it.
„I think about two years, almost,“ Replied the blue-haired girl. „I‘ve got a lot of experience on my back. You two are new, inexperienced, and are probably new to us all. Eventually to each other as well. The more we work together in the future, the better you two get,“
„Thank you for your confidence, Ladybug,“ Commented Lady Frost giving the heroine her hand to shake, then saw Ladybug‘s earring beep.
„Oh I gotta go as well, before I transform back,“ Warned Ladybug earning a nod from Rena Rouge, which saluted at the duo and ran away. Ladybug used her yo-yo and swung away, disappearing behind the building and Fire King and Lady Frost looked at each other.
„Do we know each other?“ Asked Fire King making the ice-themed heroine shake her head.
„Probably not. I don‘t seem to recognize you,“ Responded Lady Frost making the brunette nod.
„I felt like I‘ve seen you before,“ Commented Fire King. „I don‘t know, maybe your eyes made me feel like I‘ve seen them before,“
Lady Frost chuckled, then patted the superhero on the shoulder.
„Probably just a coincidence. There are more people with blue eyes. Might just be a coincidence,“ Explained Lady Frost. „I have to go. We will see each other next time,“ Mentioned the blonde making the fire-themed superhero nod and watch the heroine ran into the school court. Fire King smiled enchanted as the heroine went upstairs and leaned his back against the railing of the school sighing.

They thought they won #2
Well, here is the second part, I think it was weak in comparison, but it is not terrible either. It is acceptable.
Taken from the indications of @chocolate1721.
I hope you like it. If there are errors, at some point I will correct it.

On Bruce's recommendation, the girls wait four days before showing up at school. Four days that were used to build a case with the French School Board, collect and deliver physical evidence of abuse and bullying. Tim did his fair share by involving every person who could have been harmed by Lila's lies, getting collaboration from many of those affected (being the victims of the teenager's most outrageous lies).
They also took advantage of those four days to think about what they will do when the chaos with the director and their teacher in charge are set, they will be adrift and that will be unfortunate. Neither of them wants to waste time due to the incompetence of a teacher. The safest option is to request an immediate transfer to another class, preferably with a serious teacher who doesn't allow similar situations.
Marinette also took advantage of those four days to better relate to the Wayne boys, although she has a special connection with Tim (she's sure it wasn't hallucination induced by lack of sleep). They talked about many topics, but found brain games and all kinds of riddles in common (she advantage and led him to Ladybug's reasoning to solve a problem with the most random object possible; the fourth day hhe understood the game when he saw the heroin hit to the villain with a bicycle chain). She even had time to drag Damian to Kagami's house to get to know each other (she realized his mistake when she had to prevent them from killing themselves in the middle of the fight and take Damian to the bakery).
Neither Chloe nor Marinette were excited to see their classmates, but they saw it as a necessary evil to deliver the coup de grace. And that does excite Chloe, that morning she woke up eager to see her revenge come true.
The class had already started when Marinette and Chloe entered the classroom, the two families waiting at the door. Only Bruce Wayne went to the Principal's office to have a talk about responsibility and professionalism.
"Good morning, Miss Bustier," Mariette greets with a kindness that, for her smile, it shows that she is not entirely sincere. The surprised look of the woman only manages to generate irritation in the back of the girl's mind.
"Why have they been missing class? It is very irres..."
Chloe almost jumps on Caline, but is stopped by Richard, who sneaks into the classroom to prevent the young woman from attacking the teacher (however deserved it is). In the back, Tom has an arm over Sabine's shoulder to prevent her from attacking too, his calming touch is enough to discourage her from doing so; Damian snorts and Jason swallows his comment. The class is ready to react when Marinette responds, her brow furrowed and a disappointed look she only gives Chat.
"You abandoned us at the mercy of the Joker in Gotham, we were rescued by the Batclan. You didn't worry or look for us, nor did you bother to call the police and you leave the country without us. "Marinette says and her gaze sharpens towards her teacher.
"Marinette, you need to be more responsible. The Joker is very dangerous and trying to protect two criminals was silly. Furthermore, Lila had to return to Paris to help her mother with her next diplomatic trip. "Caline responds.
Chloe almost got free of Dick and Tim must grab Jason to prevent him from taking out the gun he saw him keep before leaving the hotel. Tom helps to contain his wife and avoid any movement from Damian (who considers that someone so stupid would be more beneficial if she was dead and not simply out of sympathy with the girls).
Bruce arrives just in time to hear Caline's wonderful words, the cheap excuse she gives them to leave two students behind. He stands in front of the woman, managing to intimidate her with his mere presence.
"If the student had previous commitments that clash with the itinerary and its possible setbacks, why was she included in the trip? Two students were in danger, with or without the Joker, Gotham is dangerous on its own and leaving them abandoned with no chance of leaving the country is negligent just for prioritizing one student. What if there hadn't been only two? If it was half your class would you still prioritize that one student? ”Bruce is relentless and doesn't allow her to respond. He's furious, burning with hot anger ready to burn her alive.
They all hold their breath when a purple butterfly appears and heads straight for Bruce, but Marinette gets in the way and lets the Akuma into one of her hair bands, the purple mask appears. Sabine and Chloe break free and start talk with her.
"Maribug, you must fight him. You're stronger than him. ”Chloe grabs her shoulders, but Marinette is focused on her thoughts, listening to Hawkmoths speech.
"You can't let him win. "Sabine entreaty.
Tim also approaches, but says nothing. His gaze meets hers, a sign of recognition and that she is nowhere near being manipulated, but no one else realizes it.
"Yes ... but if you give me those powers, I will go after you and no one else." Mariette smiles at Tim when the butterfly leaves her. Everyone is relieved, nobody wanted an Akuma at that time; the class, on the other hand, is surprised by the ease with which it rejected the butterfly and the white color with which it was released.
Adrien smiles, showing misplaced pride.
"You are amazing, Marinette, that's why you are our everyday Ladybug, you even reject Hawkmoth."
Marinette turns to Adrien, her sense of calm withered by the model's comment.
"I may have rejected it, but it would be better if I wasn't forced to do it in the first place." She frowns at the blonde, who is still smiling completely oblivious to the passive-aggressive tone of the young woman.
"We saw that you can handle it and that ..." A slap silences him, everyone looks at Chloe in surprise.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE SO FOOLY! DO YOU KNOW HOW PAINFUL IT IS TO FIGHT AGAINST CONTROL? WHERE HAVE YOUR BRAIN CELLS LEFT, AH? YOU SHOULD GO FOR THEM, YOU'RE UNDERSTANDING NOTHING."
"How dare you, you fucking bitch ?!" Alya gets up ready to hit Chloe, but Jason  gets in the way.
"Though it would be amazing to see her take your shit out of you."
"Jason!" Dick scolds him for the choice of words, Jason barely gives him a funny look.
"We have more important matters. "
Tim just denies. Chloe smirks, but returns her attention to what's important.
"When does the School Board arrive?" she smiles an arrogant smile at the teacher, who loses her face color much faster than when Bruce faced her. "What's the matter lawyers of the celebrities abaout Lie-la lied to? They should be here by now. "
"Hah! You're just words, Lila is not a liar and this whole show will explode in your face, Chloe. "Alya answers smugly, sure nothing will happen. She has not even called her father, she has nothing. "Stop wanting to attract attention like that, it's pathetic. "
Lila just frowns, the presence of Bruce Wayne only indicates future problems. Damn to Marinette in her thoughts.
"Wayne's attorneys are here, though, right? "She doesn't need to receive a verbal confirmation, the arrival of the police to the classroom accompanied by two men in suits is enough proof." Yeah, I took so long to convince her to press charges for assault, harassment, and damage to private property, but here we are; They will file lawsuits for destroying Maribug's room and, best of all, we have video evidence and photos of everything destroyed. I appreciate that she's so paranoid that everything important always safeguards her in two layers of security. ”She smirks, after all, the lawyers called the parents of everyone involved first and  it's a sight worth appreciating.
The lawyers decide to intervene, unwilling to be part of the girl's delight.
"We regret to inform that the following people should co
"That's a lot, Mari. Don't you think about his parents?"
"Did they think of mine? How much money would it cost to restore my room and all my things? They didn't, I'll not. I'm tired of always turning the other cheek so they hit me too. ”Tim places a hand on her shoulder, before Dick squeezes her into his arms and she laughs, forgetting for a moment the annoyance towards Adrien.
me with us, their parents have already been informed and are waiting: Lila Rossi, Alya Cessaire, Kim Le Chien, Max Kante and Sabrina Raincomprix. We wait for you in the teachers room. "
The officer Raincomprix looks with disappointment at his daughter and only gestures for her to follow them, he will leave his other officers in charge to arrest the teacher for child abuse and neglect.
Everything from there is chaos, the police officers take the teacher after telling her their rights and the class gets out of control, Adrien just watches his friends go towards an inevitable demand. Look at Marinette, she looks indifferent to the facts; He doesn't understand how everything got to the point of involving lawyers.
"Marinette, are you serious?"
"Seriously what, Agreste?" Marinette is hard in her treatment towards him, Chloe won the blow to him, but nobody will gain the words to him. Damian frowns at the blonde, waiting for him to say something that will bury him a thousand meters underground.
Everyone is waiting, the students in the Bustier class don't understand how everything got to that point. They are surprised, but also embarrassed for not noticing Marinette's absence, because despite not being the sweet girl they knew (and she's, but not with them), she would have looked for them and would has confronted whoever it was to find them. They want to say something, but they have a lump in their throats. Knowing that there will be legal problems for the things that they considered insignificant for Marinette, because they believed that the girl was worse ... Actually, it's the logical solution if someone is attacking you, especially if you have real evidence. So why did Lila refuse to stop the problem if she had as much evidence as she claimed?
Of course, even they can say that Adrien's question is totally out of place.
"Are you really going to sue them? They are your f..."
"They are not my friends. They destroyed my room, Agreste, they destroyed my work. Do you know how much the designs cost? Your father is a designer, you should know… I had to do everything again and put the materials that were lost to complete the works FROM MY POCKET. In a week I did a full month's work… ”Marinette replicate Tim's angry expression, making Adrien nervous by the annoyed glances that are directed at him. "And I'll make them give back every penny of the damaged material. "
"Look, Adrinkis, if they don't learn that their actions have consequences now, they'll just keep it up and eventually go to prison for something like that. You imagine? It would be wonderful to see it, sure, but that's not the point here."
"But…"
"If you say something that could come out of Bustier's mouth, I'll hit you again, and this time it will be with my fist." Adrien raises his hands and is silent. "And that would be very little, seeing that you knew everything and preferred to remain silent. Although they were not subtle when they attack on Maribug. You validated it and that, darling, is a thousand times worse than having fallen into the clutches of a liar. "
"Did you know?" Nino asks, he is not entirely sure what is true or lie, but if it's true that Lila is a liar (he is already assured that she is a bully) and his best friend has known all that time, oh, the pain. He already feel bad enough in the whole uncertain situation.
At some point, Sabine and Tom go out to meet the parents of the boys who destroyed their daughter's room. They must deal with it.
"I don't understand why you care so much about these ceporros, they are not worth your time." Damian looks deathly at everyone, who seems truly unintelligent if their idiot faces are an indication of their IQ. Dick can't help but snort.
"What?" Nathaniel is the only one who has a verbal reaction to what was said, he didn't understand the word, but he assumes that it was an insult.
"You see?"
"Yeah..." Marinette sighs and smiles at the boy, who walks away from her with an expression of disgust.
"Come on, you like her." Dick doesn't allow him to walk away and hugs him by the shoulders with an amused but affectionate smile. He has noticed his behavior around her, actively looking for her because he considers her nice, in a way; the same way he came to connect with the Teen Titans, so it was with her. He found something in common as an initial union and in four days, a record, he managed to form a linkage (small, but it exists).
"Now. I think we should go for a coffee. ”Tim approaches Marinette and whispers in her ear, she nods in response. "But before, if you are so kind to check twitter, in the @NotAddictedToCoffee account you will find a link to an article in the France International Journal where they express the worrying situation of parental neglect, I think you will find it interesting. Maybe you recognize the case they are exposing... So, coffee?" He turns to Marinette and she smiles. His job is done, pity for Chloe who wanted a true social massacre and they won't even let her be present for she watches the lives of the defendants break in front of them. Oh, but the Wayne boys are sure to be able to access the surveillance cameras in the teacher's lounge. She turns to the only one who knows how to help her, Jason.
"Hey, Todd. I need your help. ”He turns to her with a raised eyebrow, she gestures for him to lean. "I want access to the surveillance cameras in the teachers' room, can you? "
"Do you want to see their teary faces at the lawsuit?"
"Obviously. "
The two smile and as casually as they can after a suspicious conversation, they leave the classroom. Richard follows them to prevent them from causing trouble.
While all the students take out their phones to confirm.
Marinette and Tim also leave, followed by Damian. Only Bruce stays for a moment, but then decides it's best to notify a teacher for review.
Adrien knows from the beginning who the person in the example is, the implication was clear. All the time they read, an awkward silence surrounds them, a teacher arrives while they are busy on their phones.
"Very good. I will be in charge until the Board of Education decides what will happen to the class. "The class pays no real attention. They are focused watching the approach presented in the article, where they explicain how neglect causes children to seek any type of validation going to any extreme, without it being exactly something to justify the person's actions and that should be treated with a psychologist to avoid It gets out of control and affects the lives of those around you.
There is even a cited psychologist and an expert in criminal pathologies. Everyone is livid the more they read, it's an extensive and very detailed article that aims to raise awareness, but above all, expose Lila in a subtle way to avoid repercussions for publicly humiliating her, now it's a shadow that will not go away and will remain in the criminal files of the girl, which is enough to keep an eye on her (especially with the demands of some people who are almost affected by those lies).
"It was Lila, wasn't it?" Someone asks.
"Yes ... how strong. And Marinette, oh God, I'm not surprised that she hates us. "
"Guys, Marinette doesn't hate us. She's too good for that. "Adrien tries to reassure his companions.
"You have no right, Adrien! You knew it, man, you knew it! And did you let him use us like that?" Nino now is experiencing true treason. He feel very hurt.
"I wasn't hurting anyone ..."
"AND WHAT ARE THESE DEMANDS?! JOKES?! REACT, ADRIEN. HE LIED US AND HANDLED TO THE POINT OF ACHIEVING THAT FOUR OF OUR COMPANIONS DID SOMETHING ILLEGAL. THEY COULD GO TO PRISON FOR INVASION AND DAMAGE TO PRIVATE PROPERTY!" Nino has jumped on Adrien by grabbing his shirt, he could cry right now.
"Dammit, Agreste. Were you always so stupid?"
"Youngs, this behavior will lead to a sanction in your school record. The Board of Education will personally take care of you if you continue to display hostile behavior. "
"Whatever. Anyway, we're screwed. We hurt the only person who was always unconditional with us. "Juleka is clear with her words and regrets not having listened to her brother, she should have known, Luka is always right.
Everyone is silent, being aware of the situation more than others times.
"She will forgive us..."
"WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR MIND?! AIR?! Nothing we can offer her could make she forgive us, besides, did you see your new friends? She doesn't need us, least of all with the boyfriend who got herself in just five days. "Alix is realistic, overwhelmingly realistic.
Rose allows herself to cry, she wasn't actively hostile, but she knows she was purposely ignoring her under pressure from others.
"Guys…"
"Look, Agreste, don't speak to us again unless you mature. You're the worst thing in this whole thing… I can't forgive you and I'm sure you're the last person Marinette would forgive, heck, surely one day she could forgive Lila, but you, ha, never. "Alix is scathing in her words breaking Adrien's heart, though he refuses to believe that.
While in the park, Marinette guides Tim to one of her favorite cafes. She tells him about the different embarrassing moments that went through her awkwardness and he, in return, explains uncomfortable moments.
Marinette feels good, she still has to remove Adrien's Plagg ring, but at the moment, she feels good. She can face whatever comes.

First Encounters
Day One of February Memory  @maribat-2k20 Haly’s Circus was the greatest thing Marinette had ever experienced in her six year old life. Her maman and papa had decided to take her while nonna was visiting, having sung praises of the circus and that she knew a few of the performers.
Marinette was young but she knew Gina Dupain could not be tied to one place for so long, it made sense that she had taken to meeting so many people. Marinette hoped to be like her one day; carefree, adventurous, brave and kind.
As the lights dimmed down she could feel the anticipation of the room build up; she thought she saw Nino, Kim and Chloe in the crowd but it was too dark to really tell.  She could always just ask on Monday.
Soon the ringmaster, Haly, came out with the ever used “Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls! Welcome to Haly’s Traveling Circus”
It was so colorful and captivating, the little girl almost felt like the show was catered for her, easily going above and beyond to almost unthinkable feats.
From strongmen to animal tamers to body contortionists. All of it was amazing!
The clowns were funny and colorful; the acrobats graceful and flawless; the strongmen looking like they put no effort; the animal tamers never using the whip as they just guided the tigers through tricks; knife throwers never missing a beat; contortionists looking effortless and comfortable. A parade of the animals came out and Marinette was a true goner.
The elephants were beginning to leave the arena, clowns and acrobats still doing tricks on their backs, when a drumroll began, lights dimming again, spotlights flying all over the place as Haly’s voice boomed.
“Ladies and Gents, feast your eyes on Haly’s own pride and joy; The Flying Graysons!”
In a split second the spotlights pointed at two different stands high up in the tent, had they always been so high up? As two men, one on each side, began to throw themselves onto the middle, she felt her stomach sink looking lower; there was no safety net.
Marinette subconsciously began to play with her lucky charm, a string bracelet she made one day after school and concentrated her wishes in.
The little girl never took her eyes off of the Flying Graysons; the two men performing life defying flips as they swung onto the different poles. Suddenly two women joined the mix, grabbing onto the men as they flew. Marinette, even as a six year old, knew that they loved what they were doing and were good at it.
Out of nowhere, one of the women was being hung upside down by a man, reaching out for something. Then a boy joined them.
She could almost imagine him laughing, maybe he was, as he was thrown from adult to adult, all while doing flips and tricks between intervals.
Even from a distance she could tell he was not much older than she was, gripping her lucky charm tighter.
Soon the boy was placed down onto one of the stands, waving at the crowd as they cheered.
“Now for the Flying Graysons’ signature move; the Quadruple Somersault!”
Everything seemed to move in slow motion, Marinette counting the rotations as best as she could. She didn’t notice the photo her nonna took as she stared intently.
As soon as it started, it was over, the Flying Graysons and the rest of the circus coming out for one last act and a bow.
“How’d you enjoy that my little Marinetta?” Marinette could barely stop herself from shouting in joy and jumping around as she began to babble on about the amazing feats of the circus. Her family only laughed along at her enthusiasm as they walked closer to the stands, though Marinette bumped into familiar faces as she did.
“Hey Nino, Kim” the petite girl had caught their attention as their parents were talking to one another. The two waved back at their friend from school, fangirling about the awesome performances they witnessed.
“I have a little surprise for my little Marinetta; I’m sure you’d like to show your friends as well” Marinette couldn’t help but enthusiastically nod as she dragged the two boys where her grandmother was guiding them, their parents trailing slowly behind. The trio noticed Chloe, arms crossed as both her parents seemed occupied with phone calls, promptly ignoring her, as she complained that she wanted to leave.
She hadn’t known much about Chloe in the year that they’ve been classmates other than she could be a brat at times and was very bosy. They didn’t talk often since Chloe would rather play or give orders around the girls while Marinette didn’t mind getting dirty with the boys. She felt sad for the girl, giving her a small wave; Chloe looked surprised but huffed and gave a small wave back. Chloe wasn’t exactly her friend but she reasoned that the girl didn’t have many. Nino and Kim helped Marinette beacon Chloe closer, pointing at Gina, who had noticed that the kids had stopped and was now watching as they tried to convince the blonde to join them.
She looked skeptical before pulling at her parents’ pants, the two giving different looks, one of annoyance and the other of worry, before she pointed at the group of children. The two eyed one another for a moment before nodding and going back to whatever it was they were doing before.
Now the four children walked behind Gina like ducklings, each giggling and talking about their favorite parts; Kim liked the strongmen, Nino the clowns, Chloe admitted that the ringmaster was her favorite but agreed that Marinette’s choice of the Flying Graysons was acceptable as well. They had been so caught up with each other that they hadn’t realized they were now in the center of the ring until a familiar voice laughed before them.
“Well, if it isn’t the infallible Regina” the kids stood in awe as Haly, as in ringmaster Haly, gave a kiss on both cheeks to Marinette’s nonna.
“Oh that was so long ago Haly dear. I go by Gina or nonna these days” the older woman laughed as she got the kids to approach, “This is my granddaughter and her friends from school”
“Why aren’t you little things?” Haly gave a tip of his top hat, a slight curtsey as he greeted them “ Its always a pleasure entertaining family, say you look close to little Dickie’s age” the man then whistled, some of the workers, they realized were the performers that were beginning to prep for their next show later in the evening, turned around. “Where’s little Dickie?”
“Here!” they looked up to see the young boy from the Flying Graysons wave from the staircase that lead up to the balcony where he and the others would fly. “What’s up Haly?”
“Regina is that you?” the boy turned to see the four older Flying Graysons hug Gina as she returned it in earnest. “Oh look at you all, is that little Richard?”
One of the black haired men and a ginger woman nodded, the boy getting close to them, as they showed him off.
“Our little boy is certainly bigger since last time” the man, John Grayson, chuckled as his wife, Mary, sighed.
“Has it really been two years since you left already?”
“You know me; I can never stay in one place for so long”
“Wow so your grandmother is Regina?” the boy, Richard? Dick?, was looking at Marinette though the girl herself seemed confused.
“Y-Yes? I thought her name was Gina” she looked quizzically, wondering what exactly it was that her grandmother got into when she was exploring the world.
“That’s so cool! I remember her motorcycle routine; it was awesome” the boy exclaimed as the four Parisians re-evaluating the lady they knew as a doting grandmother who traveled a lot.
“Thanks…”
“I’m Richard John Grayson, though everyone just calls me Dick. What’s your name?”
“U-Uh I’m Marinette Dupain-Cheng and these are my friends”
“Nino Lahiffe!” the boy seemed to want to bury himself alive given how loud he had unintentionally been.
“Le Chien Kim” the boy laughed, ecstatic because he wanted to see if they could sneak off to where the animals were kept.
“Chloe Bourgeois” the girl said with a flick of her pigtails, almost scoffing at the boy. She supposed he wasn’t awful given he managed to wow her mother when his family performed.
“Y-You’re family was amazing!” Marinette piped up, her face growing red even as her friends joined in afterwards giving their praises.
“Totally cool!”
“Not entirely boring”
“How does it feel?”
“Hmm” Dick hummed pensively before snapping his fingers playfully “ It’s like flying”
“Isn’t it scary?” Marinette shyly asked as she looked up “I was so nervous I kept holding my lucky charm” she pointed at a little handmade bracelet as to emphasize on her point.
“Sometimes but I remember that I’m a Grayson; we’re made to fly” the boy said with as much bravado and certainty as if he had said that the sky was blue.
“O-Oh” Marinette let on before taking off her charm and handing it to him with as much care as a six year old could “I’d feel better knowing you had a lucky charm too”
“Wow Mari you don’t let anyone touch your charm!” Kim exclaimed as the others nodded. She had once tackled a kid who tried taking it from her and moved when another tried grabbing the wrist where it was.
“It’s a great honor” Nino nodded sagely.
“Well then I’ll treasure it forever Mari” Dick laughed along, tying it with little struggle.
As Gina watched the children she just knew it was the start of something special between the Flying Grayson and her little granddaughter.

NaNoWriMo: Day 2
Bros! Kim and Marinette with Daminette!
This was fun to write
I had no idea how to end it though, so sorry for that!
Vaguely proof read!
Marinette cared quite a bit about Kim, and that feeling was mutual between the two friends. They were childhood friends with Nino, but the two had always been closer. Early college had tricked them into thinking the reason was love. They later broke up, knowing that their “romance” wasn’t actually so. Nonetheless, they still remained impeccably close.
So, when Kim realized Marinette was back into looking at the market, after falling out of her several year long crush on Adrien, he had to figure out who the man was that had caught his Best Bro’s attention.
It took a bit of stalking and illegal activity (was it really illegal on his part if he asked a favor from Max?) for him to finally find the man. Now, Kim may be a bit dimwitted or a perfect jock, he kinda knew that, but he wasn’t outright stupid. This guy’s expression seemed to be in a permanent scowl until he saw Marinette.
Red flag? Maybe.
But at least he seems to really love Marinette.
So of course, Kim decided the best course of action would be to crash one of their dates rather than take on the guy by himself. Kim wasn’t sure if he could outrun a potential murderer.
So, here Kim was, “casually” walking down the street when he so “happened” to see Marinette and her mystery man.
“Oh, hey, Marinette!” Kim called, quickly jogging over. Marinette had startled, obviously not expecting anyone to come by. Apparently that meant he was immediately labeled a threat to the guy with her, because his green eyes had steeled over and Kim was starting to feel the countdown on his life.
“Hey, Kim,” Marinette chuckled, leaving the beast’s arms to launch herself into a hug. She whispered aggressively in his ear, “If you ruin my date, I swear to all that is holy, you will regret it.”
Kim only grinned and nodded. Yeah, yeah. He needed to interrogate her man, nothing date ruining. Chill, bro.
Kim kept an arm looped around Marinette's shoulder as he turned his attention to the guy. He was taller in person than from a distance and he still looked like he ate something unpleasant.
"Hey, I'm Kim Le Chien," Kim held a hand out.
The mystery dude only looked at his hand, then Marinette, and then tutted before moving to take his hand. "Damian Wayne."
Kim beamed. "It's a pleasure to meet the guy that stole my bro's heart! How'd you meet?" He gave Marinette a shit-eating grin.
"Oh, God, come on, Kim," Marinette groaned, finally realizing what's happening. "Don't you have Alix or Max to pester?"
"Nope!" Kim loudly laughed. "I've got you to pester today and I intend to get to know your mystery man."
Damian looked like he was about to retort but Marinette beat him to it.
"Ugh, how about I leave you two alone and an hour later I don't find a dead body?"
"Sounds perfect!" Kim cheered. It was not perfect. He needed Marinette around to not die.
"Angel-"
"Dami, be nice. Kim's one of my childhood friends, and to be fair, I've honestly not talked about you. Have fun, guys!" Marinette booked it, but Kim could hear her snickers. Damnit, Mari!
Kim steeled himself before facing Damian. "So, how about we get to know each other?"
-
Kim left that day with probably a broken hand because he wasn't that good at verbally interrogating and so he had decided physical tests would work. And damn, arm wrestling was not a good idea.
But! He was assured his bro had a good boyfriend. He may be emotionless, but he was good.
-
"Do I dare ask what you did?" Marinette asked, cocking an eyebrow as she tilted her head up from where she was comfortably cuddling.
"Oh, it was fine. He asked a few questions and then he tried to physically check me," Damian chuckled.
"Oh, was that why he was leaving with his hand cradled to his chest?"
"You don't have any proof."

So, instead of just posting the last chapter, I decided to post the whole thing together, as I think it works better as a oneshot (ok, so it's actually because the last chapter is really short because I may or may not have been watching Tangled: the Series) Anyway, here goes! ( @laadychat , @sassakitty , I'm not sure if you wanted to be tagged in this?)
The Three Musketeers
Alix Kubdel, Le Chien Kim and Nino Lahiffe were waiting outside the Agreste mansion when they heard soft footfalls walking down the sweeping stone staircase and through the huge iron gates behind them. They all turned around, expecting to see one of their best friends, Adrien Agreste, almost running towards them as he usually did with a huge smile plastered over his face. Instead, they were met with the cold smile of the Agreste family's assistant,  Nathalie. She didn't bother greeting them.
"Gabriel Agreste has forbidden Adrien from attending your gathering today" she stated emotionlessly, and walked away before the three teens had time to formulate a response. They stood there, seething on behalf of their friend, for a few seconds, and then Alex and Kim turned their backs on the sweeping stone staircase, and the huge iron gates. Nino, however, faced the gates for a few moments longer. He was thinking about how, if he were to imagine the gates of Hell, they would probably look almost identical to those of the Agreste mansion.
As the three friends began to walk away, Nino spoke.
"This is just so unfair!"
The words burst out of him, as if he had been wanting to say them for a very long time, and, to be perfectly honest, he probably had. The others were quick to agree.
"We have to do something about this."
"Gabriel's almost as bad as Hawkmoth,"
"He's probably worse, dude," Nino almost spat. He even managed to say "dude" in a suitably indignant voice, although the others were at a loss as to how he managed it.
"At least Hawkmoth isn't such a bad parent,"
"He probably would be, if he had kids."
"Nah, I don't think even he'd stoop that low,"
"Come on Alix, he's literally a supervillain, how could he stoop any lower?"
"He's stooped so low that his nose is practically touching the floor."
"Wait a second." Nino's voice again cut through Kim and Alixs' indignant ramblings.
"What if Gabriel... is Hawkmoth?"
Kim and Alix turned to look at him in disbelief.
"You must be kidding," said Kim, but it sounded more like a question.
"Hear me out. Gabriel's rich, rich enough to have a secret lair, and he wants his wife back, so there's a motive... And he never goes out of he house, so he has plenty of time to do it."
Kim nodded excitedly, a grin forming on his face.
"And their house has huge windows - it must be so light in there."
"What?" Nino asked, confused.
"You know, because moths like light," The others stared at him blankly.
"Oh ok, don't worry about it," he blushed slightly.
Alix also nodded her head up and down.
"He's also really tall, just like Hawkmoth,"
The three teens stopped in their tracks, the light of their discovery shining in their eyes. Then Nino's face fell.
"But what will happen to Adrien when we catch him?" He dispaired.
"Whatever it is, at least it will be better than living with Hawkmoth," Alix said, with a determined set to her jaw.
The following evening saw Alix, Kim and Nino sitting in a circle on the roof of the Agreste mansion. They had got up there with a piece of timely help from Bunnyx, and they were waiting up there for anything suspicious that they could use to catch Gabriel red-handed. Admittedly, it was not a very well thought out plan, but it was better than nothing and, after all, they were only 14.
While they were sitting there, Alix had a stroke of (self-proclaimed) genius.
"Drainpipes!" She exclaimed excitedly, "I can climb the drainpipes and look through the windows to spot Hawkmoth!"  The others shared a grin and looked expectantly at her, waiting for her to get started.
As Alix disappeared over the edge of the building, she soon ran into a difficulty. While she could get up and down easily enough, she couldn't get from side to side. She waited where she was for a minute whilst thinking her problem over, but her hands soon became slippery and she had to carry on moving down.
The first window she came to was Adrien's room and, although he wasn't inside it himself, the door was locked from the inside.
"Strange," Alix thought to herself. She noticed that the window was open. That was strange too, she thought.
Meanwhile, on the roof, Nino and Kim had spotted a black shape moving from rooftop to rooftop. In actuality, it was Nino that spotted it first, but later it would be Kim that claimed that he was the first one to have seen Chat Noir coming along the rooves towards them. They soon realised that, if he hadn't already, he would see them, sitting here, on the roof of one of the most guarded places in the whole city. However, Chat Noir's path had taken him not towards them but down, downwards into... the wall of the mansion?
Chat Noir vaulted through the open window and detransformed before Alix had time to blink. Adrien Agreste was sitting on his bed, waving awkwardly at her, a pink flush rising on his cheeks.
"Uhm... Hey, Alix," he said casually, although his voice was slowly getting higher and higher, "so, er, how did you get here? I was just, um, taking a shower?" His statement sounded more like a question, as if he was trying desperately to think up a believable excuse. He probably was, thought Alix, and it was failing.
Adrien Agreste lay on his bed, staring blankly at Alix, who was on the outside of his window. How did she even get there? He certainly didn't know. All he knew was that he had come in the usual way, detransformed, saw her standing there with her mouth wide open, stuttered out a would-be casual greeting (it wasn't casual at all) and then collapsed into a puddle of shame. What was Ladybug going to say? Again, he didn't know. Then, dragging him out of his spiral of self-pity, Alix began to speak.
"Can you help me get back to the roof?" she asked. Adrien wondered why on earth she wanted to get up there, and what she was doing up there in the first place. He only realised he had spoken these thoughts aloud when Alix responded.
"Nino and Kim are up there," she replied, as if that would answer all of his questions. Sadly,  it didn't accomplish it's goal, and only succeeded in giving him even more questions that he probably wouldn't get the answers to. Nevertheless, he agreed and, ignoring Plagg's protests and Alix's incredulous stare (at Plagg, not him), he transformed.
As they arrived up on the roof, Alix whooping as the wind rushed in her ears, Nino and Kim came into view. Nino was eating crisps from a bag, and Kim was throwing them into the air and catching them in his mouth. When they saw Alix with Chat Noir, of all people, they stopped eating immediately to glare at her. Kid's crisp bounced harmlessly off his nose, which, if you had to ask Adrien, somewhat spoiled the effect.
"Why did you go telling someone else about our plan?"
"It was supposed to be a secret, Alix, do you not know what that means?" Kim was indignant.
"Think about it. He's a superhero, which will make it infinitely easier to get evidence against Gabriel, and it will give the police more reason to listen to us," Alix said seriously. Adrien, however, spluttered.
"Evidence against Gabriel? Evidence for what? My Fath -um - favourite designer hasn't done anything wrong, has he?" Alix snickered when he came to "favourite designer". Kim and Nino looked at her curiously.
"Chat, would you mind detransforming for us?"
"I'm not sure if I'm allowed, Ladybug's going to kill me as it is."
"Well you can't be killed twice, can you?"
"Oh ok fine, I'll do it, but you can't breathe a word about this to anyone. Especially not Ladybug. Or Gabriel Agreste."
A green light washed over his body, and Plagg appeared from out of his ring, clutching his stomach. Nino's jaw dropped open. Kim blinked, smirked, and said
"I knew it." (He hadn't really known it, of course, but he was a good actor).
Once Nino had got over his shock - which took a remarkably long time - and he, Kim and Alix had filled Adrien in with their theory, he said,
"So that's why I found the Miraculous grimoire in his study! I was wondering about that, but the Guardian wouldn't tell me anything about it. I expect he didn't know anything about it either."
"You found WHAT in his study?!"
"There's a guardian?"
"He sounds useless!"
"Yeah, he only really tells stuff to Ladybug. She's training to be the next guardian," the bitterness was clearly evident in his voice,  and the others were quick to assure him that no, it wasn't fair and yes, the guardian should have told him, especially as it was his father who they suspected of being Hawkmoth.
Just a few metres underneath the four friends, an enormous circular window was sliding smoothly open, revealing an even larger circular room. So the window opened,  hundreds of pure white butterflies rise up from the floor, and there was just enough light to see a tall figure standing in the centre of the room with a long cane in their hand. Although the figure was alone, they clearly still felt the need to give a long, dramatic monologue as they captured a butterfly between their fingers. From their voice, it was evident that the figure was a man.
After several minutes, he finished his soliloquy, instead choosing to stand, motionless, clearly waiting for the - now black - butterfly to return.
"...so fly, my little akuma, and evilise her broken heart!" the deep voice came from directly below the four teenagers, and a black butterfly fkuttered over the edge of the building. Before the other three could react, Adrien had punched the air with a loudly spoken phrase.
"Plagg, transform me! Cataclysm!" As his hand closed around the akuma, it crumbled to dust.
"So," he said grimly, emptying the dust from his hand, "Your theory's true."
Nino Lahiffe looked out of his bedroom window to see Chat Noir leaping from rooftop to rooftop. To the average Parisian citizen, he would seem to be simply showing off, but Nino knew what he was really doing. Adrien was trying to be as conspicuous as possible, in the hopes of catching Ladybug's attention so that she would transform and come to join him.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng was lying on her bed, her history textbook spread open over her eyes. Meanwhile, her kwami, Tikki, was attempting to pull her out of bed. It wasn't working. In fact, it was failing miserably.
"Marinette, you have another two messages and a missed call from Chat Noir, five texts from Nino, two from Alix and one from Kim. You have to get up Marinette!"
The girl in question groaned loudly and pulled the textbook down her pace so her eyes were visible. She blinked a few times from the change in lighting, groaning again, and croaked out a short but indecipherable phrase. It was clearly good enough for Tikki, though, and a pink light washed over Marinette's body. Ladybug sat up, then stood up, the history book sliding down until it hit the floor with a crash. Ladybug winced at the noise before climbing up, through the trapdoor in her ceiling and onto her balcony. A dark shape was visible, leaping from rooftop to rooftop. Chat Noir.
"So what did you want to tell me, Kitty?" she asked lightly as she dropped onto the roof beside him. He turned towards her, face uncharacteristically serious.
"My lady, I know who Hawkmoth is, and I have a plan." Marinette stiffened.
"Who is it?"
"It's Gabriel Agreste."
"Hello Father," Adrien said calmly, holding his staff out in front of him. Beside him, Ladybug spun her yoyo. Honestly, Nino thought, it wasn't particularly threatening. He, Alix and Kim stood behind the duo, a hand resting on each of their respective weapons, and while Alix held her umbrella naturally and Nino had rested a confident hand on his shield, Kim looked vaguely uncomfortable holding his flute. If he was the in charge of handing out the Miraculous, he would at least have given Kim a weapon more suited to combat. After all, you can't do much with a flute, even if it is magical.
Nino's thoughts were interrupted by Adrien opening his mouth to speak again, and, when he heard what his best friend said, he knew that the battle would be short.
"Cataclysm!"
So it's finished! I hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading!

Bad Day (1) Morning
Marinette was Ladybug! This was Adrien’s luckiest day ever! Except it wasn’t, because all his good luck was used up in one go. Turns out this might be the worst day of his life.
Ao3 | FF.net
Part 2
I’m still working on Longest Night. This was just supposed to be a one shot, but it got out of hand. There should only be three chapters. Crack, Angst, Fluff, in that order.
Also, this story is super gross. Because 14-year-old boys are super gross.
--
“Pound it!” Ladybug and Chat connected fists after a job well done.
His ring beeped right on schedule, having used his cataclysm earlier than she had used Lucky Charm.
“Go ahead, I’ll take care of the victim.” She smiled so politely and rested a hand on his arm.
He nearly swooned.
“Go!” She chided with a laugh.
He blew her a kiss as he departed. It was an early morning, just before school. Early enough that classes probably wouldn’t be cancelled. The akuma had been a quick run, though the time he had intended to use for studying in the library was gobbled up instead. Oh well. That was the whole point of studying, staying ahead so when the akumas overwhelmed him, his grades didn’t suffer.
The courtyard was still relatively empty, as there was still a good twenty minutes before classes started.
He rushed to the bathroom, keeping a careful eye on the students, though no one noticed he was there.
He took the first stall, and his transformation fell just as he cleared the door.
Plagg fell in his hands, immediately begging for cheese.
Adrien laughed and gave him a little wedge. “There, I have more in my bag, but I have to go while we’re here.”
“Go? Go where?”
“You know…go.” He gestured to the toilet. “It’s poo-thirty.”
“Aw man,” Plagg whined. “Couldn’t you hold it until we got home so I can leave the room?”
“Don’t be such a baby.” Adrien chastised, dropping Plagg in his pocket. He undid his buttons, dropped trou, and let nature take its course. Aimlessly, he scrolled through the Ladyblog on his phone while he did his business.
Then he noticed that the door was slightly cracked open.
“Oh narts, this the stall with the bad lock.” He sighed. Reaching his leg out, he toed the door, having it hit the jam and rebound back, opening wider. Adrien groaned, “Plagg, can you—“
“Nuh uh. I’m not coming out until you’re done with your disgusting human behavior.”
Adrien rolled his eyes at his ridiculous kwami. Oh well. It was still early, and he’d be done in a minute. Surely it was no big deal?
Except someone was running towards the bathroom.
And then running to his stall.
Into his stall, with their back to him.
A gorgeous back, with an adorable butt, covered in red and black, and hiding. Then, there was a flash of pink, and the red and black gave way to a dark gray jacket and soft pink pants. An outfit he had seen nearly everyday.
He choked on air, wanting to say something, and also very aware of the fact that his pants and boxers were around his ankles.
Not how he imagined the reveal would go down at all.
So he simply held his breath, vying his time.
She didn’t wait long, only a couple seconds really, it had just felt like an hour being in that space with her. As she left, he made eye contact with her kwami.
She saw. She saw that he saw.
Then he was alone again, his eyes staring forward, unseeing.
Marinette.
Marinette was Ladybug.
Beautiful, sweet, kind, and righteous Marinette was his Ladybug. Of course she was! It made perfect sense! They had the same eyes, the same black hair that shined blue in the light! The same laugh! Oh it was perfect!
It was—
Oh no.
He had to tell her. But she HATED the idea of him knowing her identity! Hated anyone knowing!
Why did it have to happen while he was on the can?
How was he supposed to explain this without completely embarrassing both of them? It was completely unfair!
“Sorry Marinette I saw you detransforming while I was dropping off the Cosby kids at the pool, sorry!” Like that was a good option!
But then again, he was finding it too hard to be upset about it when the truth of ‘Marinette is Ladybug’ reverberated in his head.
They’d work it out. Somehow. But now he just had to get through the day without melting into goo around her.
Maybe he’d turn on the Chat Noir charm.
No, that’d be too suspicious.
“Are you gonna poop or what?” Asked Plagg.
Adrien scoffed at him.
Then his kwami chuckled, lowly, manically.
“What are you up to, you little creature?”
“Oh, I’m not up to anything. I just had…a premonition, if you will.”
“Care to enlighten me?”
“Do you feel lucky?”
“What kind of question is that?  Uh…I mean, I just found out who the love of my life is, so…yeah?”
“The luckiest you’ve ever been?”
“Yeah, in a way.”
“That’s what I thought.” Plagg snickered again.
“What?”
“Oh nothing…really. Just that…I have a feeling you used up all your good luck for the day.”
“What? Is that a thing?”
“Just hurry up and finish. Nasty boy.”
Rolling his eyes at his kwami, Adrien finished his business. Afterwards, he left his stall just as Kim came in.
“Yo!”
“Howdy!”
Kim took his stall, and Adrien went to wash his hands.
“Holy shit!” Kim shouted.
A bad feeling settled in Adrien’s stomach. Did I forget to flush?
Ah, it was probably no big deal.
He finished up, and went into the locker room, where Nino was putting his stuff away.
“Hey man,” Adrien greeted pleasantly.
“Sup dude! If I had known you’d be early, I would have waited out front for you.”
“Oh no, no worries. I’ve been here for a while. Needed to use the library.” That had been the initial plan, before the Akuma had struck. So not a complete lie.
“For the essay?”
“Yep.”
“I haven’t even started, dude. I mean, I have a topic idea but..” Nino went on, but Adrien’s mind had begun to wander.
Back to Marinette.
His lady.
His bugaboo.
He giggled.
Nino frowned at him. “Dude, what’s so funny about the holocaust?”
Adrien’s eyes widened. “No no I wasn’t—no, sorry. I was listening! But I was also thinking...uh, so you’re doing your essay on the holocaust?”
“Well, I’m thinking of doing a comparative piece between the holocaust and...”
And he was off again.
Not that he didn’t love Nino immensely, but this was the biggest revelation of his life! He wasn’t going to pay any attention to anything for the rest of the day.
Oh how badly he wanted to sit behind Marinette, so he could stare at her all day.
A little creepy, but cut him some slack.
“…it’s not really comparing the Holocaust to country music, but it’s finding similar themes, you know? Is that the dumbest idea you’ve heard?”
“Yeah…” Adrien said with a pleasant smile on his face.
“Yeah? My idea is dumb?”
“Sure is.”
“Well…thanks for that, I guess.”
“Hmm mmm…say Nino, is Marinette interested in anyone?”
Nino blinked a few times. “What?”
“I just thought you might know, since you’re dating Alya and all.”
Nino snickered. “Oh, I see what this is about. Finally got your head out of your ass, huh?”
Adrien blinked heavily at him. “W-what?”
“Oh come on. Everyone can see when you give her your patented ‘soft eyes’.”
“My what?”
“You know, you get this dopey smile on your face, and then your eyebrows turn up and your eyes get all misty, and then you look like you’re going to cry.”
“What! I do not do that!”
“There was a spider on Rose’s desk, and Marinette gently scooped it up and put it outside, even though she’s scared of spiders too.”
Adrien’s heart melted. “Aw, she did?”
Nino snapped a picture on his phone. “Bam, heart eyes.”
Adrien narrowed those heart eyes into slits. “What’s your game, Lahiffe?”
“You’re in love with Marinette.”
Adrien blinked. “Yeah, I was getting to that.”
Nino gawked. “You-you were!? You are!?”
“Yeah, I mean…I just realized it today. I thought I was in love with someone else, but…” Technically, he still was, but knowing that Ladybug was Marinette only made his feelings stronger and feel more solid.
Marinette was Ladybug!
Adrien then realized Nino was giving him a knowing look. “You’ve got it bad, dude.” He chuckled.
Adrien huffed and crossed his arms. “Well, are you going to tell me who she likes, or what?”
It was then that Kim came out of the bathroom, and made hard eye contact with Adrien. “I see you there. It’s on, Agreste.”
“What’s on?”
“You know Le Chien Kim doesn’t back down from a challenge!”
“What challenge?!”
“As if you didn’t know!”
“I don’t know!”
Kim just gave a smirk and walked out of the room.
“Uh, what the hell was that?” Asked Nino.
“You’re guess is as good as mine with Kim.”
“Fair.”
“So anyways...Marinette? Her crush? Help a guy out?”
Nino rolled his eyes. “Look dude, if I tell you, I’m dead meat, per Alya. But, you should absolutely ask her out. She won’t say no.”
“...is it me then? Does she like me?”
“Again, I’m a dead man. But her fondness for you surpasses ‘friendship’, ya dig?”
His lady liked him! She liked Adrien!
“God, you make me sick.” Nino chuckled. “You make sure to turn those soft eyes on Marinette. She’ll turn to goo.”
“Noted!” Adrien beamed. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go woo Milady.”
“Christ.”
Adrien haughtily tossed a smirk over his shoulder, and then turned to rush out of the room.
Only, Plagg’s premonition would come true. With a vengeance.
In one step, his shoelace broke and he stepped completely out of his sneaker. With the momentum he created in takeoff, he launched several steps until he collided his pinkie toe with the corner of the lockers.
Oh mama.
He was down.
Clutching his foot like his life depended on it, Adrien dropped to the floor and let out a string of curses that would make Chat Noir blush.
“Oof, dude, you okay?”
Adrien couldn’t tell if he was laughing or crying.
But oh, did it suck.
“Let’s go to the nurse.”
“No.” Adrien wheezed out. “I’m good.”
“Like hell you are.”
“If I go to the nurse, she’ll call my dad, and he’ll pull me out of school for being in an unsafe environment. I’m fine!”
Though the tears streaming down his cheeks did not have Nino convinced. “Whatever dude. Let me help you get to class though, kay?”
Nodding through the pain, Adrien took the offered hand, and together they tottered to homeroom.
As they approached the room, they could hear Kim talking. Everyone in the school could hear him, he was so enthused.
“No, you guys don’t understand! It had to be at least two feet! The thickness of my arm! This thing was massive!”
Nino snickered, “What, did he take up fishing?”
“That’s not physically possible.” Said Alix, just as loud.
“Oh yeah? I took a picture! Look!”
There was a collective shout of ‘ew! Kim!’ from the class, when Adrien and Nino finally reached the door.
Everyone went silent.
Dead silent.
Adrien’s gaze drew immediately to Marinette—His Lady—only to see her avoiding his gaze, with a very red face.
Then he noticed that everyone was staring right at him.
“Uh…good morning?” He detached himself from Nino and used the desk to get to his seat.
Alix stood, and just started clapping.
This caused some of the others to start laughing.
“Uh…what’s going on?”
“Tch, like you don’t know.” Said Kim, in a way that inexplicably reminded him of an anime villain.
Adrien rolled his eyes. “I already told you in the locker room, I don’t know what the heck you’re talking about!”
“You, sir, are the Dump King of Collège Françoise Dupont! And I intend to dethrone you!”
Nino and Adrien looked at each other, and then at Kim.
“Dump King?”
Marinette had her head buried in her hands, unable to look at him. Whatever this Dump King thing was, it was bad.
“Yeah dude! I used the bathroom right after you and you left this massive turd! It was two feet, easily! It was standing up in the bowl!”
Adrien’s face burned, embarrassment outweighing the pain in his, presumably, broken toe. “Kim…”
“You’re so clean and perfect…you’d never leave a message like that unless it was a challenge! And I’m going to start eating fiber ASAP!”
Now it was Adrien’s turn to hide his face in his hands.
Nino clapped a sympathetic hand to his shoulder. “Oh man, you broke the number one unspoken rule. No pooping at school.”
“If we’re not supposed to poop here, why are there toilets?” Adrien whispered back, harshly.
“It’s not a hard rule, just a globally recognized one.”
“Now you tell me!”
“Oh don’t play all naïve, Agreste. I know what you’re about.”
Adrien trembled in front of the class, because now he had to explain to Kim, in front of all his classmates, and the love of his life, that that hadn’t been any kind of challenge. He had simply forgotten to flush. And he normally didn’t poop logs. Just, regular sized poops.
Oh man, if it sounded this terrible in his head, it would sound so stupid out loud!
His mind really had to have been gone if he hadn’t noticed he left that behind.
“Listen, Kim…” He began, sitting on the edge of the desk. “It’s not like that. I’m not the kind of guy that shits and tells.”
That was not the right thing to say as everyone erupted in laughter, and Adrien’s embarrassment only grew deeper.
Fortunately, Marinette was the only one not laughing, as she was probably reeling from second hand embarrassment.
Kim noticed, and draped himself over her shoulders. “Oh come on Mari! Everyone loves a good poop joke!”
“Yeah, when they’re five.” She muttered.
“You have to admit, Adrien is always impressive. Even his deuces are deuces.”
Shutupshutupshutupshutup—
“You’ve got to be a little impressed, aren’t you?”
Marinette finally met his eyes and he was fully prepared to cry at her sympathetic gaze. She smiled. “I’m just glad you’re healthy.”
What.
“I’m doing school under my desk today, thanks everyone.” Adrien withered and crawled under their table.
“Dude, come on.”
“Adrien’s not here right now, he’s at the humiliation station. Population: me.”
“Don’t be so dramatic sunshine, everyone poops.” Alya said, by way of consolation.
And it probably would have worked too. If it were any other day. But the day had just started and he was already overwhelmed. He was acutely aware of Marinette’s eyes.
Nothing was worse than being embarrassed in front of your crush.
Well, as Chat Noir, he always managed to embarrass himself in front of her. But this was different! He was Adrien! Embarrassing himself as Adrien wasn’t just bad for him.
It was bad for his father.
Oh no.
Could his father find out about this? He didn’t have a sense of humor, he wouldn’t find this funny at all!
“Adrien? Where’s Adrien?” Miss Bustier called in attendance. He had been so deep in his self loathing, he hadn’t even realized the teacher had come in the room.
“The Dump King is under his desk.” Called Kim.
“Dump…? Never mind, I don’t want to know. Adrien, please sit in your seat properly.”
Resigned, Adrien went to stand but hit his head on the table, eliciting a ‘ooo’ from the room.
Adrien sat in his chair, slumped in defeat.
Plagg vibrated in his pocket, barely able to contain his laughter.
The kwami was right, today was not going well at all. Despite the wonderful knowledge that Marinette was Ladybug, everything else seemed to go wrong.
He failed his physics test.
He, Adrien Agreste, top grade in Physics, Physic nut, had failed his test.
He just stared at the paper with growing horror. “Miss Mendeliev, there must be some sort of mistake!”
“Sorry Adrien, you know the rules, you don’t show your work, you don’t get points, even if the answer is right.”
“But—“
“If you find the paper you did the problems on, I will regrade it. But it will be a zero in your grades until then.”
Frantic, Adrien dumped his backpack out on his desk and began searching for the lost paper.
“Not right now, Mr. Agreste.” She said sharply.
Feeling small, Adrien gathered his supplies and stuffed them back into his bag.
During lunch, he was called back to the mansion, even though he had asked to eat with his friends. Though, this wasn’t that much of a disappointment, considering that he dealt with it fairly often.
As he left the school, he found Marinette waiting for him. Beautiful, sweet, understanding, and patient.
As he walked up to her, she stuttered and stumbled on her words. “H-Hey Adrien! I’m sorry about what I said in class. Not that I’m not happy that you’re healthy! I’m very glad you are! You look great! You always do! I mean—! I just wanted to say...I could tell you were embarrassed by Kim, but I’m sorry I didn’t say anything to help.”
Adorable. Simply adorable.
He realized that he hadn’t responded, and only continued to stare at her longingly.
“Marry me...” he sighed.
Her eyes blew wide as her mouth went slack.
Quick! Play it off!
“Mari! You Mari! Me Adrien! Yes, good! Thanks!”
Nice.
“Bye!” He damn near shouted, and he hauled ass to his car, limping with each step.
Plagg giggled in his shirt, and whispered up to him. “You’re such a dumbass.”
“Shush.”
After lunch, it was time for gym.
Which was a fun activity with a, presumably, broken toe.
“You going to be okay, dude?” Asked Nino. “You know, if you just show Mr. D’Argencourt your foot, I’m sure he’d let you out of gym.”
“I’m fine, I just…need to walk it off.”
Nino gave him a flat look. “You’ve been ‘walking it off’ for several hours already. It’s not getting any less purple.”
“I looked it up. There’s nothing they can do about a broken toe. They can’t set it or anything, so don’t worry about it.”
At this point, Nino decided to officially give up. “Fine, suffer. Be my guest.”
Soccer.
It had to be soccer.
Why not tennis? Why not frisbee? Why not pickleball? Any game! Any other fracking game, except for the one that demands you use your foot the entire time!
Adrien reconsidered his life choices. “Excuse me Mr. D’Argencourt, I stubbed my toe really bad earlier. Can I sit out?”
Mr. D’Argencourt, shrewd man that he was, gave Adrien a once over and huffed. “If you must. You can sit with Miss Rossi.” He gestured over to Lila, who was beaming at him.
Adrien winced.
“How about goalie?”
The coach was much more willing to have Adrien participate and consented.
Whatever forces on earth that had been responsible for Adrien’s crap day came back with reinforcements.
On Adrien’s team was Rose, Juleka, Nathanael, Chloe, Sabrina, and Max. Against them, was Kim, Alix, Ivan, Alya, Nino, and Marinette.
Whoever picked these teams is a moron. He thought to himself.
Adrien, humble as he was, was an excellent goalie. Of course, he’d give the credit to his time as Chat Noir. The game was almost over, with the score tied 0-0. His team hadn’t gotten anywhere near the other goal, but Adrien hadn’t let a single ball in on his side.
His was bruised, battered, sweaty, and exhausted.
Of course, most of his teammates hadn’t even broken a sweat.
Marinette stood nearby, waiting for the assist to the goal. Of course, having her so close was immediately a distraction, and all of his attention was on her.
“You’re amazing,” she told him, adorable blush on her cheeks. “Sorry we’ve been so ruthless, you know how Kim and Alix are.”
He meant to thank her, to assure her there was nothing to apologize for.
But his brain decided to remind him, yet again, that he was talking to Ladybug.
“Thank Kay, you’re not apologize. Amazing, yes!”
Flawless.
Her eyes widened slightly. “Are you okay?”
A low whine came from his throat, as he felt the need to shrivel up and die.
“Hey Dump King!” Kim shouted, “Block this!” And he kicked, with all the power in him.
To Adrien’s credit, he did Block the ball, but it was with his face.
“Adrien!” A cacophony of voices called out to him.
He was on the ground, wetness on his face. And in too much pain to move.
“Adrien? Are you alright?” Marinette was above him, looking down at him with concern and so much love. “You’re bleeding.”
“Bleeding...” he swooned.
“Alright, alright,” Mr. D’argencourt shooed everyone away from crowding him. “What happened.”
“He took a ball to the face, and I think he hit his head on the way down.”
“How many fingers am I holding up?” The coach stated, holding up three fingers.
“Three.” Adrien said simply.
“Oh, he’ll be fine.” The coach said. “Will someone take Adrien to the nurse?”
Marinette opened her mouth to volunteer, but Lila shouted out first. “I’ll take him!”
Adrien used Marinette’s hand to climb to his feet, and then waved Lila off. “I’m fine, I can go on my own.”
Lila latched onto his arm. “Oh please, let me help you.”
“No, really, I’m—“ He sneezed, flinging blood right on Lila’s face and clothes.
She shrieked.
“Ah! I’m sorry! I didn’t know I had a bloody nose!” He cupped his face, not really doing any good. He turned to Marinette, “Does it look okay?”
“I mean, you’re bleeding, but nothing looks bruised yet.”
Lila weaved her arm around his again, and pulled him away from Marinette. “Come on, let’s take you to the nurse.”
As she yanked him down the hall, Adrien looked down, and saw an absolutely menacing look on her gaze.
But it was gone just a moment later as she smiled up at him. “It’s okay Adrien. Accidents happen.”
He wasn’t completely convinced.
The walk to the nurses office was quiet, and Lila departed just as they arrived.
The examination went smoothly as well. “Well, Mr. Agreste, you don’t have a concussion, and your nose will be fine. It might be a while before it stops bleeding however.”
“Will I bruise?”
“You might. But the skin isn’t broken, so makeup should be able to cover anything.”
He hated wearing makeup, but it was better than getting yelled at. He sighed. “Thank you ma’am.”
“But you can keep this icepack on it for a little while. That’ll help.” Gently, she molded the icepack around his nose, and placed his hand on it to keep it steady. He sighed in relief. “Um, while I’m here…” He reached down and took off his shoe and sock. “I stubbed my toe earlier.”
“Oh honey!” The nurse exclaimed. “Why didn’t you see me earlier about that!? Look at how dark it is!”
Adrien hunched his shoulders. “I just…Didn’t want you to call my dad.”
The nurse considered it for a moment. “Alright, I won’t call your father. But try to keep off of it, and ice it as much as possible. Alright?”
Adrien managed a smile. “Thank you.”
After about 15 minutes, when his face went numb, he gave back the ice packs and decided to head back to class, a wad of tissue still up his nose.
In the hall, he ran into Lila, her face clean of any trace of blood, and her shirt damp, but clean as well. “Hey Adrien!”
“Oh, hi Lila…” He greeted cautiously.
“Is your nose still bleeding?”
“Yeah, the nurse said it’s not broken though.”
“That’s good! I actually was on my way to the nurse’s office to give you this.” She held up a cylindrical wad of cotton, with a string on the end.
“Uh…what is it?”
“It’s for packing nosebleeds. I get them all the time, so I always have them handy. All you have to do is put it in your nose and leave it there for an hour.”
“Oh! Well…thanks! I…I just I’ll go put this in now. Thank you!”
“It’s no problem Adrien. I just wanted to make sure you were all better for our photoshoot this afternoon.”
A chill ran down his spine. “Our…what?”
“Our photoshoot? I could have sworn it was today?”
No. Today was Friday. He was going to Marinette’s for his first sleepover with friends! He made sure to clear his schedule! Quickly, he whipped out his phone and pulled up the spreadsheet with all his events.
Right there, in a block after school until late evening, a photoshoot was scheduled. Edited as of 10am this morning.
He growled in his throat, and then called Nathalie.
“Adrien, do you really think it’s appropriate to call during school hours?”
“I had today off from modeling.” He said by way of greeting. “I was supposed to hang out with friends.”
“Yes, you were. But your father insisted on a shoot anyways. But he made sure to get your friend Lila as a model so you wouldn’t feel too bad.”
“Well, as long as I can hang out with them afterwards?”
“No, your father wants you to come home tonight.”
“Why?”
“He just does, Adrien.”
Adrien hung up, angry, upset, frustrated.
“I’m sorry Adrien, I thought you knew?” Lila said, with her little sing song voice.
“Well, it was scheduled at 10am, so no. I didn’t.”
“Weird, I got a text about it. Sorry!”
“Whatever,” He huffed. He was done. This day officially sucked, and he’d find a way to cataclysm it right off the calendar.
Well, at least Lila had been kind enough to lend him this…thing. Whatever it was. He went to the bathroom to change out his tissues.
Yeah, he was still bleeding.
But the new cotton wad fit like a dream and he jammed it as far up into his nose as he could stand, and then went back to class.
Lila was already there when he returned, and Miss Bustier was in the middle of her lecture when he walked into the room.
She stared at him. “Oh…uh, glad to see you’re alright, Adrien. But…um…”
“Dude,” asked Nino, when no one else would, “why do you have a tampon up your nose?”
Adrien paled, considerably, “…this is a…?”
Nino nodded.
Kim burst out laughing first, and the rest of the class followed suit, while Adrien hid his shame with his hands.
Marinette, blessed, beautiful, and kind, did not laugh. Instead, she stood and went to him. ”Come on.” She grabbed his hand and tugged him along to the bathroom.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he noticed Lila glaring at them, glaring at him, with a smile on her lips. It seemed she had changed targets.
She led him to the boys room, and opened the door. “Anybody in here?”
When there was no reply, she pulled him in, and steered him toward the sink.
“Go ahead and pull it out.”
He did, the bleeding starting up again.
“Sorry I just commandeered the whole situation, but I had a feeling Lila was going to be less than helpful.” She wadded up a ball of toilet paper and handed it to him. “Hold this to your nose for now.”
With the ball under his nose, he just continued to gaze at her. “No, thank you for rescuing me. I’ve never dealt with a bloody nose before.”
Marinette gave him this sympathetic little smile. “Well, lucky for you, I have. A handful of times.”
Adrien remembered a dozen or so times when Ladybug got knocked a little too hard and ended up a little bloodied.
“Here,” she took a strip of toilet paper and twisted it into a long string. “Now, you’re going to fish this up your nostril as far as it will go. It will tickle and be uncomfortable, but I swear the bleeding will stop in a few minutes.”
Adrien took the tissue and did as she instructed. He got the urge to sneeze again, but held it back.
“There. Now we’ll just wait a little while and see if it stops.”
“Thank you, Marinette. You really are our everyday Ladybug.” He kind of felt stupid saying so, but it was so true.
Marinette tinged a lovely shade of pink, flicking her eyes away from his. “You’ve been having a pretty bad day today, huh?”
He groaned and almost collapsed on the floor. “The worst.”
“Well, we’ll just have to make up for it tonight, right? I know. You versus me, Ultimate Mecha Strike 4, battle to the death. What do you say?”
“That sounds like so much fun! But…”
“But?”
“My father…he changed his mind this morning. I can’t go. I’m sorry Marinette, I really really really wanted to.”
She deflated. Her shoulders dropped, her smile faded, even the light in her eyes snuffed out. “Oh.”
He wanted to cry. “I’m serious, I’m really upset about this! I was so excited!” He choked.
The life came back into the girl in front of him, and she rested a gentle hand on his arm. “Hey, it’s alright. We’ll try again. If we’re persistent, eventually your father will have to let you go, right?”
Despite the optimism in her voice, Adrien could she she was severely disappointed.
Maybe she really did have feelings for him.
“We better get back. How’s your nose?”
He carefully extracted the tissue, only to find part of it still clean. “I think it’s good. I’ll just tuck a little bit in there just in case.”
“Good idea.”
“And...Marinette?”
“Hmm?”
“Thank you. You’re wonderful.”
She blushed, and some of that light came back to her eyes.

Miraculous Rank List: My list of Secondary Superheroes
Considering most of my usual posts contain a fair amount of salt, lets go for something a bit lighter today!
This list basically covers my listing of all my favorite secondary heroes and ranking them from best to worst. I’ll be working my way up from the heroes I like the least to the ones I love the most.
With that statement out of the way, lets get started.
Number 8: Bunnyx
Yeah, this may be a shock to some, but I don’t like Bunnyx. I think her power is cool, and I think the outfit is ok, but everything else about her is just so not cool. And that really has to do with her debut episode: Timetagger
Aside from her episode being the one where its revealed the miraculous powers become unlimited when you become an adult (which is just dumb!) her attitude towards Chat is extremely shitty, along with the fact the show this episode LOVES to point out how Bunnyx being stuck was ALL CHATS FAULT, with the show pretty much rubbing it in all episode! There's also the fact she does pretty much nothing in the long run, with the day pretty much being saved (yet again) by Ladybug! Sure, this is a running theme with most battles, but it would be cool for the other heroes to be able to win a fight without Ladybug's help.
Number 7: Pegasus
There’s nothing really much to say about him other than I find him boring.
The new heroes' idea was a nice thing in season 2 when it first came out, and the fact they limited themselves to only 3 heroes was pretty good so far. Unfortunately, season 3 has made the idea of new heroes kind of boring with just how many they introduce in the season alone. However, with the rest of the heroes, most of them had a pretty good introduction to warrant their place on the team and the fan hype. With pegasus, however, there wasn’t really much of a good intro for him, at least in my opinion, and when he finally appeared, I was underwhelmed.
His outfit, despite having an ok design, radically changed his appearance in comparison to other characters, and the colors really failed to suit him at all. His superpower is an ok superpower. A portal is not a bad power but again, pretty bland as well.
Number 6: Queen Bee
Yeah, Ironic since I'm a huge fan of the Chloe redemption idea, but canon did my girl rough.
From having her reveal herself publicly to essentially having her put lives at risk just to show off, Astruc really tried to hammer home that Chloe would not become a hero. Even the bit at the end of Queen Wasp wasn’t enough for me to get rid of my hatred for the episode.
Despite that, Malediktator and Miraculer (the second half at least) were enough to improve her in my books, but it's still a far step away from the other heroes rather simplistic intros. I would’ve been fine with Chloe’s intro to being a hero if the other heroes weren't treated marginally better in comparison. Everyone else was chosen by the ‘amazing’ Ladybug and all of them listened to Ladybug and did everything right and everyone else is perfect - While Chloe found the box by mistake and became a villain by the end of season 3. Really Astruc? Really?!
Despite all that and the season 3 finale, I still like Queen Bee, but there is no mistake that her introduction left a pretty bad mark on her (temporary) hero career.
Number 5: Viperion
Luka’s debut as a hero was also something I felt was off. Not only was Luka not chosen initially (due to Ladybug choosing Adrien for the sake of her crush, which was actually one of the good parts of the episode as Adrien basically chose Luka for her, and was some good character growth for Ladybug) but Luka’s abilities are kinda .... weird.
Not so much the superpower, the idea is based off the ouroboros, which has been misinterpreted before to represent ‘infinite’, which makes sense considering his power is a time loop but the tool itself.
Chat Noir and King Monkey have staffs, Ladybug has a yoyo which can tie up baddies, Rena has a flute which also functions as a mini staff, and Carapace has a freaking shield! Even Pegasus has a boomerang Horseshoe.
And Viperion ... has a freaking Lyre. A freaking musical instrument that doesn't even function as a weapon.
Sadly, Viperion’s tool was pretty much designed only for the Desperada episode, due to it allowing him to distract the main villain of said episode. Aside from that, it doesn’t really do much for him combat wise.
Hell, if you’re going to have Viperion have a freaking Lyre for a weapon, at least have a funny scene where they have him using it to serenade every boy and girl in Paris! Just have him play music and everyone just becomes swooned by him, as well as make straight guys confused on their sexuality.
0/10, not enough Luka serenading Paris for me.
Number 4: Carapace
The Anansi episode actually did a few things right for my boy. He fought Anansi by himself without a miraculous, which was a good thing, he kicked even more ass as a hero for a bit, which was also a good thing. Unfortunately, he, like every other hero, was not given a chance to shine as he was completely overtaken by Ladybug. Again, it's a running issue with every secondary hero, but after he becomes a hero, he is pretty much playing second fiddle to the ‘actual hero’.
Aside from that episode, he has some pretty rough luck with being a hero. Like all the other temp heroes, he was overtaken by the akuma in heroes day, with his only part being stopping Hawkmoth from attacking Ladybug and Cat Noir, which is still a good thing, but after that, he doesn't have really anything much going for him. Still though, like Roy, he is my boy, and I love our hero with a shell shield, even if he doesn't have actual Turtle Power.
Number 3: Ryuko
Cool Outfit? Check. Cool Power? Check. Badass Kagami? Double Check.
Kagami had a lot of good things going for her in her debut. Her power was one of the coolest I had seen in a while and she had a badass outfit to go with her. I also like Kagami a lot, so it helps with the favoritism a lot as well. Unfortunately, her identity was revealed to Hawkmoth, and she didn’t make that many appearances, even compared to other heroes. Still, she is pretty cool.
Number 2: King Monkey
Whoever decided to give Le Chien Kim a miraculous was absolutely bananas, but I suppose that is for the best. :)
Like Ryuko, he has one of the greatest costume designs, and his power is awesome as well, and Kim as a miraculous wielder is absolutely amazing, being sporadic, crazy and funny as well. However, he suffers from the same issue as Ryuko, with that being that he doesn’t have much screentime as a hero, even less than her.
The difference is that I love Kim a bit more due to his personality, and when you combine it with the monkey miraculous out of all miraculouses in the box, and I could just watch an entire series of Kim monkeying about Paris. He’s that cool and funny to me.
That just leaves number 1...
Number 1: Rena Rouge
Rena Rouge’s first appearance was one of the best introductions in the series (aside from King Monkey), and the episode itself was certainly one of the better ones compared to the rest of season 2.
When I first saw Rena Rouge back in season 2, I was amazed by the episode. It didn't have any bad or cringe moments, no character bashing, no implied salt, just Ladybug, Chat Noir, and the new hero bantering and joking with each other while fighting another akuma, and it was amazing. The fact that they showed being a hero through Alya’s perspective really helped to show her excitement at not only helping Ladybug and Chat Noir, but also being a hero flying through the air. Rena joking with Chat was certainly one of the highlights
But undoubtedly, the best part was probably at the end with her giving back the miraculous, and showing that no matter her feelings, she was one of the best choices as a hero, and proving to herself and others that she is hero material as much as Ladybug and Chat Noir. Again, this was before season 3 gave miraculous out like Oprah gives cars, but semantics. Going back, the episode still hasn't been sullied by time and remains one of the best episodes and hero introductions in the entire series. Which is why Rena Rogue deserves the top spot.
And there you have it! Feel free to create your own list of favorite secondary heroes in your reposts and tell us why they are at the spot on your own list.
For the sake of people I respect and watch on Tumblr, I ask @twin-books, @ratheroddranger, and @rucky-chan to make their own lists of favorite secondary heroes and tell us why they arranged their list that way! They don’t have to do it, but it would be cool if they did!

Chapter 3
“Number 7: What’s your favorite thing you own and why?”
Ladybug rolls her eyes at Chat’s persistence. “Are we really going to go through all of the questions on this list?”
“Yes,” Chat says emphatically. “It says it should create a stronger bond between us.”
Ladybug sighs and grabs another chocolate from their shared bag, looking out at the twinkling lights of the city below. Chat had called her earlier saying to meet him at the Eiffel Tower for an ‘important meeting.’ Said meeting had apparently been reading out and answering “55 Important Questions to Ask Your Best Friend.”
So important.
“Where did you even get this,” she asks, trying and failing to snatch his papers away from him as he holds them out of reach.
“Teen Vogue.”
“I wasn’t aware you read Teen Vogue,” she snickers, popping yet another chocolate into her mouth. At least he brought provisions.
“I’m a model, M’Lady. I need to stay up to date with all the latest trends.”
“Of course. My bad.”
“Anyway, what’s your favorite thing you own and why?”
“You mean aside from my miraculous?” At his nod, she continues, “I guess my new fancy sewing machine. It works really well and I saved up for months to afford it so I’m proud of it. You?”
“Hmmm,” Chat says, stroking his chin like he’s done after every question. “Probably all my pictures and videos I have of my mom. For obvious reasons.”
“Oh,” Ladybug says in the silence that follows his response. “Now I feel bad about my answer. Can I change mine?”
“No, I liked your answer. I love how passionate you are about designing.”
“Thank you,” she says, feeling bashful despite herself.
Chat clears his throat before moving on. “Number 8: Who was the last person who made you cry and why?”
“Ugh, probably Hawkmoth.”
“Same.”
“Fuck that guy.”
Chat giggles. “Yeah, fuck him.”
“I can’t believe we’re still fighting him. Fourteen year old Ladybug would be very disappointed that he’s still terrorizing our city.”
“Honestly, fourteen year old Chat Noir would probably love that he finds out who you are and he still gets to run around every day.”
“Typical.”
“Hey, becoming Chat Noir was the best thing that ever happened to me. Sure, my priorities needed some sorting out but I got there eventually.”
“That you did, Kitty. I’m proud of you.”
Chat puffs out his chest in pride. “Thank you. Now, where do you see yourself in five years?”
And so it goes. They keep answering the questions provided by some random online article Chat found and deemed important. She’ll never admit it to him, but Ladybug starts to get into it after a few more rounds of questions. His answers are endearing and sweet and she finds pleasure in learning more about him. Even if his means of doing so are silly at best.
“Here’s a good one,” Chat says after an hour of this. The city has grown quieter as the tourists make their way to their hotels and the people of Paris settle in for the night. There’s a group of people standing near the base of the tower, pointing their cameras up and Ladybug knows she’s going to get another embarrassing earful from Alya tomorrow. Still, it’s worth it. “Number 37. Who was your very first crush?”
Ladybug immediately feels her face heat up and she turns away from him.
“If you don’t already know, then pass.”
“Hey! You can’t pass!”
“It’s embarrassing,” she whines, pulling up get knees so she can hide her face in them.
“Now I’m really intrigued.” He scoots even closer to her, their shoulders brushing.
She tries to get away with muttering the boy’s name but Chat insists that she say it loud and proud.
“You are literally the worst person I’ve ever met.”
“If that’s the case then my opinion on your first crush shouldn’t matter.”
“Fine,” she says, peeking her head out. “But please know that it only lasted, like, a week and is one of my biggest regrets in life, okay?”
Chat’s eyes burn with curiosity as he nods.
“It was Kim.”
There’s a long moment where they can only hear the howling wind and the cars zipping by below.
Then, “Le Chien Kim?”
“It was a momentary lapse of judgment!”
Chat Noir bursts out laughing. “A week is far too long a lapse in judgment.”
“Shut up. Who was your first crush?” It’s only after she demands his answer that she realizes it probably won’t make her feel any better. There’s a good chance his first crush was some gorgeous supermodel…
“I don’t want to say it now,” he says, turning red.
“Ohhhh no. If I had to, you do too.”
“It was you.”
Ladybug blinks once. Twice.
“Me?”
Chat shrugs. “You already knew I liked you.”
“Yeah but I guess I didn’t realize I was the first girl.”
“I didn’t have a lot of options. The only girl I saw on a regular basis before meeting you was Chloé and we both know I wasn’t going there.”
“Ah, I see,” she says, trying to ignore the sinking in her stomach. “You just liked me because I was there.”
“No!” He shouts, startling Ladybug at how loud he is. He winces and lowers his voice. “I—I really thought you were awesome.”
“Past tense.”
“Still very much present tense.”
“So you still have a crush on me,” Ladybug asks in a teasing tone but her heart is pounding in her chest and she can feel her hands starting to shake. She feels like they’re on a precipice, seconds away from diving off. She hasn’t felt this hopeful in a long time.
Chat is frozen for a second before he looks away bashfully. “I don’t know which answer won’t make you angry.”
The hope fizzles out, leaving Ladybug feeling hot and cold all over. “I’m just teasing you, Kitty. What’s the next question?”
They wait two tense heartbeats before Chat brandishes his papers and reads out, “38. What foreign language or languages would you want to master and why?”
Ladybug allows her heart to calm down before scooting back into Chat as she thinks about her answer, grateful for the distraction and these silly questions.

@wearemiraculous
„Dear class next week, we‘ve got our last week before Christmas eve and Rose asked me if we could again like last year do a Secret Santa between all of us again“ Miss Bustier announced as she got up from her chair with a bunch of small post-it notes, then took a square-formed pencil holder and dropped the writing utensils on her table to put the notes inside it, then she placed her left hand over the hole and shook it to shuffle all the notes in the holder and walked forward to Chloe and Sabrina, then Chloé stuck her hand in it mixing it with her hand while sticking her tongue out.
Afterward, she picked a name out and she looked at it.
„Ugh for real?“ Chloé asked annoyed, then Sabrina opened her note too and looked at her best friend.
„Who do you got?“ Sabrina questioned.
„Dupain-Cheng“ Chloé answered.
„I‘ve got Ivan“ Sabrina responded
„I better keep her, it‘s easier to find a present for her“
„I can help you if you want. I know some things she might like“
„Great and I help you with yours….or I try. I don't know, what he likes thought,“
„We‘ll see it then“ Sabrina responded, then observed Miss Bustier let Max Kanté and Kim Chien Le take out a note from the holder and take a look at it.
„Max, you really need to help me out with this one, “ Kim asked looking sad at the tan-skinned boy.
„Is it Chloé again?“
„No worse…... Miss Bustier“ Kim whispered making Max chuckle.
„I‘ve got her“ Max mentioned rolling his eyes at Myléne, which was showing Alix the note, where he could clearly see the name of the secret person of Mylene, which was Alya Césaire.
Miss Bustier was now at the other side of the classroom at the last desk, where Nathaniel Kurtzberg sat along with his deskmate Lila Rossi. Both reached with their hand at the pencil holder, then Nathaniel stopped before getting in along with Lila, then he pulled his hand back a little to allow the girl pick up first a name. Nathaniel afterward stuck his hand inside the holder picking out the first paper piece he could find and held it closer to his face, then opened it up to see the name of his secret santa. Nathaniel turned a little red at the name he read on the paper, then he rolled his eyes at Lila to see her smirking at the name she‘s got.
„What a coincidence, I‘ve got myself, “ Kagami said, who sat beside Ivan that looked down at his deskmate showing her name on the note.
„You can pick out another one and put yours back“ Miss Bustier suggested leaning the holder closer to the blue-haired girl, which placed her hand again inside it taking another paper out and place the old one back with the other hand.
„Thank you Miss Bustier, “ Kagami said opening her note to reveal the name of the person, she has to organize a gift. „Wonder who‘s going to get my name“
„Me too“ Lila added closing her note, then looked at Nathaniel, who had already put his note in the pocket of his pants. „What about you, Nathaniel?“
„I what…..yeah I‘m wondering too“ Nathaniel added.
„Who do you got?“ Lila asked making Nathaniel wide his eyes in shock.
„I….but we‘re not allowed to tell it“ Nathaniel mentioned.
„I know, but between friends, it‘s okay“ Lila mentioned. „Kim and Chloé asked their best friend about it too and they know it. They won‘t tell it, anyone, else, right?“
„I guess not“
„And so won‘t I and you definitely too“
„Well I guess I could“
„I‘ve got Nino, “ Lila said right after Nathaniel had finished his sentence.
„Okay I got…..uhm…..“ Nathaniel mumbled gazing around the classroom looking at his classmates, then found a solution to cover his note. „Kagami“
„You‘re kidding me, right?“ Lila asked chuckling at his answer.
„N...no I‘m not“ Nathaniel answered rapidly, watching Lila shake her head.
„Her name was given to Kagami before, afterward she had put it back in the cup and it went out to someone else. It‘s either Adrien, Nino, Marinette or Alya. You‘re not on the list“ „Did I say Kagami?“ Nathaniel asked widening his eyes pretending to be surprised at his reaction. „I meant Kim…..I just wanted to make sure you ….would pay attention“
„Don‘t worry, I‘m a great listener“
„Yeah I know“ Nathaniel confirmed earning a nod from Lila, which looked back in front at the interactive blackboard, where Miss Bustier had displayed an essay, that the students had to for the coming Friday. Nathaniel looked in front to see, what Miss Bustier was doing and he took out from his jacket his smartphone unlocking it, therefore he searched on the display for a green-colored messenger app and pressed on it to enter into it, revealing a list with names of classmates and students he‘s on good terms with and he picked the third contact which belonged to a boy named Luka Couffaine.
„We‘re doing that Secret Santa gifting thing and I picked out Lila‘s name. Help!“ Nathaniel typed down followed by a frightened emoji and pressed on the arrow next to his sentence to send the boy the message.
Nathaniel put his smartphone back in his pocket, then looked at Lila, who was writing down on a small block the homework. A few seconds later he took out his smartphone out, pressing the home button to light up the screen to see Luka had replied to the redhead.
„Meet me at my houseboat. We can see, what we can do“
In the evening Nathaniel sat in the living room of the Couffaine‘s houseboat next to his childhood friend Luka, which held a block on his hand noting down with a pen, ideas for a Christmas present Nathaniel could get for his desk mate.
„So I found a few ideas for you, that you could get easily here in Paris in any store for the Secret Santa thingy“
„I know I might have said it wrong, but I‘m not a Christian like you“ Nathaniel mentioned making Luka laugh.
„I know, I‘m just kidding.“ Luka implied looking at his friend, that wasn‘t amused with his jokes.
„Come on Luka, I only got a week and I want to give her the best gift, she can get“
„Why don‘t you draw her as a superhero or something?“ Luka suggested making Nathaniel shake his head.
„No. I don‘t want to draw her anything, cause it would be obvious to her or anyone else, that it was from me. I thought about something she would never expect from me“ The redhead explained.„What about you create something by using your skills you‘re less good at?“
„I‘m not great at maths. But what can I do with maths? Write her a math poem?“ Nathaniel asked a little unsure, seeing Luka shook his head at his idea.
„No, not that kind of skill. Something else, maybe you could cook or bake her something, sew something, write a song or build something with wood or anything else,“
„Sewing or building something seems quite easier for me to not screw up. Building at least. I‘m not very fond of sewing“
„For sure you want to build something?“ Luka asked earning a nod from the shorter boy. „What do you have in mind?“
„I…..uh...I have to think“ Nathaniel confessed, then Luka handed him out the block for him to be able to notice any ideas he would get during the period.
„A star made of wood?“ Questioned Nathaniel looking at Luka.
„Is an idea, what else could you do?“
„I don‘t know…..we could check the internet for more ideas?“ Nathaniel suggested watching Luka unlock his smartphone, opening the internet browser and wrote down wood-made things.
„A box like this one would be good for her to keep things in it“
„Maybe, wonder for what she could need one. I have never been to her house“
„Maybe for makeup utensils?“ Luka mentioned. „My sister has one“
„Okay, what else could we check there, “ Nathaniel asked looking at the screen of Luka‘s smartphone as he scrolled through all the different images on the site.
„Board games?“
„I don‘t know, I feel this is kind of more for kids“
„A board with a quote on it?“ Luka suggested stopping at an image with a rectangular-shaped wood with a quote about faith.
„A little boring“
„Wow look they made a console out of wood. What is a personal object Lila likes a lot, that you could do for her?“ „It‘s impossible for me to make something like that with my minor experience in handicraft.“
„Well maybe not like the console, something else like a guitar“
„I think it‘s still hard, no matter what I pick“ Nathaniel mentioned making Luka chuckle.
„You‘re very complicated Nathaniel“
„I‘m not complicated, I just overthink a little too much“
„Okay I see…..hey what about a bookshelf like this one?“
„And it shouldn‘t be that big, that everyone in the school would note“
„You‘re being complicated, boy“ Luka mentioned making Nathaniel growl.
„Luka, I asked you to help me“
„I‘m trying Nate,“
„I know, looks I pick a picture frame maybe shaped like a heart or a flower and in the end I ask Alix or Rose to paint it with me“ Nathaniel responded as Luka opened the search bar to look for something else, then widened his eyes as he had another idea.
„Hey what about you do something like this hexagonal prism here out from a tree trunk or so, then add on its sides framework, where Lila could add images on it and in the end decorate or paint it?“ Luka suggested showing Nathaniel the image making Nathaniel furrow his eyebrows, then he smiled excitedly as he found out what he could do.
„I think I‘ve got a plan“ Nathaniel announced looking up at Luka, which smiled at him back amused he could help Nathaniel good.
„And what are you planning to?“ Luka asked watching Nathaniel draw the prism on the note block.
The next Monday after the school Nathaniel ran out of the wardrobe with his messenger bag towards the stairs to the second floor, racing them up, heading towards the last classroom on the end of the level, where the raven-haired boy Luka stood with another boy, which gave him a fist bump before he walked away from the entrance of the classroom. Nathaniel arrived and looked up at the older friend.
„Mr. Bois had ordered a shaped trunk for you to work on, cause none of the machines in our classroom are able to remove the bark and the other rests of it. I find it looks fine for you to start doing your work“ Luka noted entering along with the redhead into the classroom, where two other students were around working on a wooden bench together with the teacher observing them sanding the lean of the rectangular-shaped object.
„Mr. Bois, this is my friend I was talking about, “ Luka said catching the attention of the brunette man, which looked at the musician standing there with the Jewish boy.
„Oh welcome to my classroom Nathaniel“ Mr. Bois welcomed walking towards the two boys. „Your friend Luka told me you wanted to make a special present for a certain someone, am I right?“ The teacher asked watching Nathaniel roll his eyes away in embarrassment.
„Y….yeah“ He responded. „She‘s in my class“
„Have you got any idea, how you‘re going to start with the work or what you have planned to do?“ The man asked watching Nathaniel open the hood of the messenger bag to take out a white A6 sheet with a sketch of the prism, including the details he wanted to add on the project.
„Well, my idea would be all the six sides have on the top a rectangular-shaped frame for her to be able to add an image. Every second side has under it a round frame and the other ones have this type of flower shape“ Nathaniel explained to the teacher showing him his detailed sketch of the gift he wants to create for Lila Rossi.
„You‘re very talented in things as details….oh and what about the head?“ The teacher questioned, then Nathaniel wide his eyes as he forgot to mention that part.
„Oh uh I‘m still not sure what to do there. First I planned the Italian flag, then a fox head, then both and now I‘m a little unsure, what to pick“
„Well you can choose that later, first, you need to work on the body of your trunk, add the frames on it, scoop out a little from the sides, draw the shapes you want on a sheet, so you can use it later to shape the frames and saw it in the correct shape“
„Yeah“ Nathaniel replied, then Luka removed from his arm a hairband and handed it out to the friend. „For what is that“
„Safety“ Luka responded. „You need to tie your hair when you‘re going to use any of the machines here“
„I thought I would have to saw them all by hand“ Nathaniel mentioned seeing Luka shrug his shoulders.
„Maybe you won‘t need to do all by hand, but just in case you‘re going to use any of the machines, your hair and head is at least save“ „You‘re describing it as if I had never had handicraft lessons“
„Elementary school didn‘t have any machines back in our time“
„Well I gotta give you right on that“ Nathaniel admitted, then looked at his plan, then back at his trunk, that was already refined to be processed by the hands of the boy. „I better start now, it‘s going to be a lot of work“
„Good, you‘re going to have a lot of fun on it“ Luka affirmed placing his hand on Nathaniel‘s shoulder.
„Oh and if you see Lila, Rose or anyone else. Tell them I‘m….somewhere but not here, can I count on you?“ Nathaniel asked earning a nod from the Couffaine boy, then he left the redhead alone who walked across the room to the end of it, where there lied on a table couple of woods boards lied in various sizes. Nathaniel grabbed a few boards, making his way to the side, where the teacher‘s desk was and he grabbed a few misprinted A4 sheets, thereafter Nathaniel returned to his table spreading the stuff on the table and he took out from his bag his case to take out a pencil and a small ruler, after that he started to measure the trunk. He placed under the ruler his finger, followed by moving the ruler over his finger, placing it under his finger, again he made that move as he kept trying to measure the trunk with the small ruler while calculating the numbers.
One of the guys, that had stopped with grinding the bench looked at what Nathaniel was doing, then looked back at his own table, where there lied a wooden ruler of 60 cm and picked it up, walking up at the redhead, then watched Nathaniel place the ruler on the side of the trunk and realized someone was standing beside him and he looked up.
„Uh hi“ Nathaniel greeted looking up at the older student. „Can I help you?“
„Hey. I just saw you measuring that trunk and since I saw you had that small ruler, I saw the one from the class here and thought about borrowing it to you, if you were interested“ The tall boy suggested. „So you won‘t need to calculate every time you use yours“
„That‘s great, thank you, “ Nathaniel said picking up the ruler of the classmate from Luka. „What‘s your name?“
„Christoph,“ He responded. „Aren‘t you that guy, that drew that Ladybug comic for the school blog?“
„Yeah“
„I read it and I gotta say, you‘re a very talented artist. Where did you learn to draw like that?“ The boy asked watching Nathaniel shrug his shoulders.
„At home by myself“ The redhead answered. „My comics and anime inspired me to it“
„You know, you could draw something anime-like on a sheet or on the wood and we could help you or show you how to engrave it on the wood.“
„Maybe, first I need to see how it will turn out“
„Sure, you can ask us for help, if you need anything“ Christoph responded walking back to the other friend, picking up another abrasive sandpaper to continue helping the other classmate with their bench.
Nathaniel measured up his trunk, then added points for about two centimeters away from the edge, then moved the trunk a little to the side to repeat the same task he did before.
On Friday during the last lesson in the morning the class had French history class the students sat in their place reading all a different book. Nino Lahiffe lied his book down next to his pad, then unlocked the device, which landed on an open word page with a few pages filled with words and started to type on the screen to resume the chapter he had just read, soon half of the class did the same on their ipads all tapping with their fingertips on the screen.
On the back of the class, Nathaniel had his eyes glued on the book, while beside him Lila had her hand under her chin while she was reading her book with a warm smile. Nathaniel rolled his eyes away from his book to look at the girl, smiling a little at the sight of the gorgeous girl beside him and he looked down at the feet of the girl, in front of the girl he spotted a large unwrapped gift with Lila‘s name on it with a large computer font to disguise her secret santa‘s actual calligraphy.
Lila closed her book, afterward, she glanced at Nathaniel, which had been looking at her, soon he quickly looked away from her turning a little red on the face.
„How many pages have you got until you‘re done with your book?“ The Italian girl questioned making Nathaniel shrug his shoulders.
„Probably 100. I‘m only on half of the book“ Nathaniel answered making Lila nod. „And you?“
„I think about 160. There are at least 300 pages in this book“
„I get easily bored in reading books without pictures“ Nathaniel mentioned making Lila chuckle.
„Explains why you choose a world war 2 book, which every kid in high school has read it at least one time in their lives “
„Why not….it‘s….interesting“ Nathaniel responded. „I‘m not reading it, because I know it or because it‘s not that big“
„Of course“ Lila replied sarcastically, then Nathaniel looked at Lila‘s book and she showed him the cover. „You know that book?“
„Nope“
„It‘s about a young woman, who found a job as a companion for a man, that had become paralyzed after an accident a few years ago. She and the man dislike each other in the start, but with the time they become good friends and they fall in love,“
„I think there is a movie based on it“ Nathaniel mentioned. „Doesn‘t he get euthanized in the end?“
„Hey! Don‘t ruin the book for me“ Lila pouted while crossing her arms, making Nathaniel laugh.
„Who knows, maybe there are more movies with a similar plot“ Nathaniel comforted Lila earning a nod from her.
Miss Bustier placed her book down on her table, then got up from her chair taking a blue-wrapped present, that she had in front of her computer and leaned beside her desk.
„Dear class before I allow you to your lunch break if you want you can open your presents now in front of each other and maybe you can figure out by yourself, who your secret Santa was“ The redheaded teacher declared watching all the students taking from under their table. Adrien, Kagami, Ivan, Rose and Sabrina had their secret gift on top of their desk and they picked it up and ripped the wrapping paper off.
„Hey wow a Ryuko action figure“ Kim revealed excited as he had opened his present. „That‘s the last one I needed to collect for my superhero collection“ Kim mentioned looking at the class, then Adrien gave Nino a fist bump who smirked back at the blonde. Nino and Adrien both unwrapped their gifts off to see their gifts.
„Hey an ear warmer!“ Nino announced. „I‘ve been looking around, but I couldn‘t find them anywhere“
„Really?“ Adrien asked a little surprised. „There were a lot of them at the Hot Bananas store“
„I saw none of these stores“ Nino mentioned checking his new earbuds out and found the tag. „Oh it is from Hot Bananas“
„Hey I‘ve got bath bombs“ Adrien mentioned taking a look on his box and wide his eyes as he saw, what scent it had. „Oh it‘s passion fruit, who knew that?“
„I think I knew who it was“ Alya mentioned rolling her eyes at Marinette, which had looked back at Adrien in surprise at seeing him with the present.
„Uhm I didn‘t have him, I had Kagami“ Marinette answered seeing behind Adrien Kagami hold a red-colored crystal lamp.
On the back, Nathaniel opened his present, which was a blue-colored crystal lamp similar to Kagami‘s.
„Wow, “ Nathaniel said as he saw the gift he received. Lila beside him checked the large gift out, then Nathaniel looked at her and thought on outwitting Lila about the present.
„Oh wow Lila, I wonder, what present is in there“ Nathaniel stated watching Lila remove the paper off her gift, then as she got to see the present she widened her eyes in shock at the gift she had become. The hexagonal-shaped trunk had been colored in three different colors, symbolizing the nationality of the brunette and on the top of the trunk, there was a nearly-well done paint of an anime fox head in the middle of the object. Around the trunk on the top, it had rectangular-shaped frames that had on each corner a fake gold-colored nail to tighten the frame on the trunk. Under the first frames, it had a circle-shaped and a flower-shaped frame but colored in the opposite color as of the site the frame was.
„Is that, what you have been working the whole last week?“
„I kind of had help from Luka and some…..wa….wait…..how did you figure it out?“ Nathaniel asked shocked as Lila figured it out immediately.
„You didn‘t think I would fall for your tries of keeping it a secret, didn‘t you?“ Lila asked with a smirk making Nathaniel sink his head down.
„Well, it was worth trying, “ Nathaniel said looking back at her. „At least until we could reveal it later“
„Aww thank you so much, this has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever received from someone“ Lila thanked the seatmate making him smile.
„I guess the many splitters I‘ve got from sanding were worth it“ Nathaniel mentioned making Lila giggle.
„Oh no, that must have been awful to deal with“
„It still was worth it, “ The redhead said. „I made you happy and that‘s what mattered to me“ Nathaniel admitted seeing Lila smile at him angelic and Nathaniel looked down a little shy, making Lila grin and place her hand on his shoulder.
„Wish I could have given you something too“
„It‘s not necessary“ He answered earning a small nod from Lila.
„Maybe I can come up with something for your birthday or any other day“
„If you want to“ Nathaniel added getting up from his chair followed by Lila. „Do you need help in carrying it?“
„No it‘s alright“ Lila answered. „Thank you for questioning it,
Nathaniel smiled at the brunette as the bell of the school rang, announcing the start of the midday and all students got up from their chair putting their stuff away in their bag.
„Are you….going to stay over midday here at the school?“ Nathaniel asked seeing Lila shake her head.
„My grandparents are here over Christmas until January the 10th. I‘m going to have lunch together with them“
„That‘s fantastic“ Nathaniel admitted earning a smile from the girl.
„We‘ll see each other in the afternoon, don‘t worry“ Lila answered placing her hand over his shoulder, leaning her face to Nathaniel‘s face giving him a gentle kiss on the cheeks, turning them pink. Soon before Lila left she ruffled Nathaniel‘s hair and picked up her messenger back and the gift, then accompanied Kagami, that had been standing in front of their desk waiting for the friend. Nathaniel observed Lila leaving at the exit of the classroom, then Rose and Juleka appeared beside him gazing at their childhood friend.
„Did you like Juleka‘s present?“ Rose asked seeing Nathaniel gaze lovely at the door, where Lila had left and Rose exchanged looks with Juleka, then she hugged the redhead from behind excited.
„Oh you‘re totally in love with her, my boy!“ Rose cried while Juleka covered her mouth to avoid laughing at the small girl. „Don‘t worry, we‘re going to help you out with her. I promise“ Rose announced looking at the boy, which felt a little embarrassed with the situation, thereafter he picked up his gift and his messenger bag and left the classroom walking along with the girls on the side of the handrail looking down at the court, where he saw Lila walking together with Kagami, leaving him back with a delightful feeling in his heart.

Why Him? (a kwami swap story)
Very overdue story for my friend @nerdasaurus1200 - a King Monkey and Ryuko kwami swap story! You can probably imagine chaos will ensue from these two swapping... and maybe, a new friendship?
We shall see! I hope anyone reading this enjoys it :) And Nerd, my friend, I hope this was worth the wait! :D Sorry this took so long lol.
(story under the cut)
Oh, of all the people, why Kim?
Today, Adrien and Marinette had decided that the team wasn't working well enough together, and they decided to have a set apart Saturday for a mandatory team bonding exercise - kwami swapping. Chloe got Alix, Max got Nathaniel, Marc switched with Juleka, Ivan swapped with Rose, who then swapped with Mylene; Alya swapped with Nino, and her own boyfriend, Luka, got to swap with Sabrina. Marinette and Adrien swapped (of course).
Their only instructions were to not leave their partner for the day; they didn't even need to seek out an akuma. They could literally go shopping if they wanted to, so long as they stood together.
And she... had gotten Kim.
"You promise to bring that back in one piece, right?" Kim asked, pointing to his circlet.
Kagami gave him a dead stare. "I should ask you the same for my choker."
"Oh, it'll be fine!" Kim smirked. "This is Le Chien Kim ya got here! Not a klutz."
Kagami, again, deadpanned him. Were these words seriously coming out of his mouth right now? Honestly, of all the people she could've gotten, why KIM?! Kim with the Dragon Miraculous just sounded like an accident waiting to happen.
She just didn't feel like throwing a rubber banana today either.
As if examples of how the others days were going couldn't get shoved in her face any more than what her mind was already doing, Nathaniel, equipped with Voyage, Naruto-ran through two portals about two rooftops away from them. Max, equipped with the Fire Flame power, was chasing him with a crossbow that had a flaming arrow. Somehow they were laughing.
"Let's just get this over with," Kagami sighed. "You go first."
"Sweet!" Kim said. "Alright, LONGG - BRING THE STORM!"
She would be lying if she said the Dragon costume didn't fit well on Kim - his suit was a darker red than hers, and his hair that normally stuck up was now covered with a horn-like design for a mask. Honestly, it kinda looked like Dark Cupid. He had wings imprinted into the spandex on his back, and his sword fell into his hands.
Why was she so scared of this?
"Oh, this is so cool!" he exclaimed. "I shall be known as... Doragon Kaosu!"
"Chaos Dragon - fitting," Kagami nodded. "Alright... guess its my turn. XUPPU, SHOWTIME!"
Kagami had already decided her name was going to be Queen Monkey; she saw no need to be original with her name. After all, it wasn't like she was gonna be the Monkey wielder for long. She was just eager for 6 o'clock to roll around so this could be over with.
"Holy crap," Doragon said once her transformation was up, "you look badass!"
Kagami had to smile at that one - despite the fact that Kim was an idiot, he still had his moments, and was really just a fun-loving soul at heart. No one could deny that. "Thank you, Doragon. Now, wanna take your Miraculous for a test run?"
Suddenly, an akuma flew past - he was some sort of hang-gliding akuma, yelling at the top of his lungs about how hang-gliding school was real and not a joke.
"Oh, oh this is perfect!" Doragon laughed. "I've always wanted to do this..."
"Wait, what are you-"
"LIGHTNING DRAGON!"
Doragon suddenly turned into a lightning bolt, and struck the hang-gliding akuma man out of the sky. Queen Monkey screamed out bloody murder in horror, fearing for her sake and for her life that Kim hadn't even been Doragon Kaosu for two minutes and he had already killed someone!
"KIM!" yelled Queen Monkey. "WHAT THE HELL?!"
"Chill, he's fine!" said Doragon, manifesting back in front of her. "I made sure to check his pulse before I got back. He'll live."
"YEAH, FOR LIKE ANOTHER MINUTE!" Queen Monkey screamed. "OH MY GOD!"
"Chill out, Queenie!" Doragon said, genuinely becoming concerned for her. "Its gonna be fine!"
"Woah, what's going on here?"
Kagami and Kim looked up, and there was another kwami swap duo: Luka, now Blue Heeler, and Sabrina, now Hydra. "Gami? Kim? You two okay?" asked Heeler.
"I just struck somebody with lightning, and Queenie over here thinks it'll kill him," Doragon said, somehow completely nonchalant that he had just struck down someone with lightning.
"O..Oh... y-yeah, that'll do it," Heeler muttered, taking a deep breath.
"Should I use Second Chance?" asked Hydra.
"N-No... I think its probably best we leave you two to work this out," Heeler said.
"Wait!" Queen Monkey whispered to him. "P-Please... I-I don't know if I can handle this..."
"Hey, you're gonna do just fine," Heeler reassured her. "It'll probably take some getting used to, but-"
"I-Its not that," Queen Monkey said softly. "I-Its...w-well... he's an idiot."
"You don't know that," Heeler said gently. "Reckless? Probably. Chaotic? You bet! But give him a chance, okay? Please?"
Kagami looked up at Luka... damn those soft eyes. It always made her crack and she hated it! Well, okay, no, she didn't hate it. But she just wished... oh, never mind.
"Fine," she crumbled.
"Thank you so much, Gami," smiled Heeler. "Seriously. Thank you."
"M-hmm," Queen Monkey nodded, trying to appear as sincere as possible. Truth be told, she was still dreading the rest of the day. Hydra and Doragon then wrapped up whatever they were chatting about, and then Sabrina ran off with Luka to go continue their own kwami-swap adventure.
And thank the Lord, the paramedics arrived to take the hang-glider akuma guy away for proper treatment...
-0-
4:00
Oh, just one more hour... one more!
And then, she would have Longg back, and Kim would be back with Xuppu. Like it should be. She was excited to finally get back to normal...
"Hey, Kagami?"
"Hmm?"
The two were currently resting on a rooftop, having just caught another akuma in the trusty akuma-catching portable butterfly nets that they had been supplied with. How they worked was beyond them, but hey, they worked; hopefully Mister Bug didn't mind a surplus of akumas to purify.
"Do you... do you hate me?" Doragon asked.
"What? No no, no!" Queen Monkey said, sitting upright. "Of course not!"
"Are you sure?" he asked, seeming... genuinely troubled. "You sure do act like it."
"No no, God no! I don't hate you, Kim!" Queen Monkey said. "Its just... its..."
"Hmm?" Doragon asked, looking down.
"I'M JEALOUS! I'm jealous, okay?! That's it!" she blurted out. "Its just... you're able to be so reckless and chaotic all the time! And yet, somehow, you can... I don't know, control the chaos? I wish I could do that, for crying out loud! I've always had to be perfect, nothing could be off! Being Queen Monkey has given me a sweet release, and I've really enjoyed it, and you make an excellent Dragon wielder but my pride wouldn't let me admit it! There! Are you happy?"
Queen Monkey then took in deep breaths of air, never having vented like that before... it was new.
And honestly, it felt good to get that off of her chest.
Suddenly, Doragon put a hand on her shoulder, and smiled sadly.
"Wanna know something?" Doragon said. "I'm... I'm kinda jealous of you too."
"Huh?" Queen Monkey said in shock.
"You're able to create a plan on the fly, and you never have to just wing it," Doragon said. "Not only that, but you can be picture perfect when needed. I'm always this big mess of chaos, never really able to control anything but. Though I do wish, at times, that I could be a straight shooter; like you! So yeah, I'm kinda jealous of you too..."
Queen Monkey chuckled. "Well then... uhm..."
"Don't know what to say?" asked Doragon.
"Read my mind," nodded Queen Monkey. "Uh... so... I guess, uh, we're even? Of sorts?"
Doragon shrugged. "Guess so... but really, I'm glad you don't hate me."
"God, how could I hate you?" asked Queen Monkey. "Honestly, though at times, you are a moron - its hilarious. You're hilarious. I'm not only jealous of your ability to control chaos, but your sense of humor is so natural flowing and witty - I could never do that! That's a gift!"
"You kidding me? Of course you could!" Doragon laughed. "And your stoicism... the ability to keep a stone cold glare going for more than five seconds. I'm envious of that, because I know I couldn't do that for shite!"
"Oh come on, you could!" Queen Monkey exclaimed. "See, the trick is to..."
The two wouldn't count on it, but they'd spend the next hour chatting and talking like they were best friends. They'd talk similarities, their differences, what was going on in their romantic lives, how they thought of their powers on the norm, etc.
After the conversation, honestly, the two honestly weren't even ready to swap back when Mister Bug sent out the signal for them to come back.

"So, how was that day, guys?" asked Mister Bug to the currently present heroes. Lady Noire still had her arm hooked around his; those two were madly in love. It was almost sickeningly cute.
"SO MUCH FUN!" Tourterelle (turtle!Alya) exclaimed.
"Yeah, this was a sick day!" Red Vix (fox!Nino) added.
"AWESOME!" Sun Screamer (rooster!Max) yelled.
"I had so much fun!" Trotter (horse!Nath) exclaimed. "This may actually be the best team bonding exercise idea ever! Thanks you two!"
"Honestly, we didn't get much action," Mr. Stripes (tiger!Marc) chuckled.
"I mean, I guess I learned how to tap dance," Madame Hoofer (goat!Juleka) shrugged with a smile (she failed to notice Rose's sudden blush). "Just what happens when ya get bored, y'know?"
"Its difficult to be intimidating like this," Pink Boar (pig!Ivan) said sadly.
"Oh, you're always a sweetheart to me!" Bluebell (ox!Mylene) smiled up at her boyfriend.
"So cute!" Mouselia (mouse!Rose) said, holding her hands together.
"We had a lot of fun," Blue Heeler (dog!Luka) smiled.
"Yeah, it was actually pretty fun using Repetition as a power!" Hydra (snake!Sabrina) said, equally as happy.
"Psh... It was okay, I guess," Madame Cottontail (bunny!Chloe) shrugged.
"Oh come on, you loved it!" Hornet (bee!Alix) said, smirking smugly.
"Well, we're glad you all had fun!" Lady Noire smiled. "Uh... Kim? Kagami? How'd you all fare?"
There was tension - everyone could feel it. A commonly shared feeling of dread was shared at the start of the day when it was announced that Kim and Kagami would be swapping Miraculouses... but everyone was caught off guard by the two nodding and smirking at one another.
"When can we do it again?" the two asked.
"O-Oh!" Lady Noire gasped, not expecting that answer. "W-Well... uhm, we hadn't thought of doing this again!"
"But, m'lady, you do have to agree - this has been a very successful day," Mister Bug said.
"You're very right, my bug," smiled Lady Noire, nodding. "Well... how about not next Saturday, but the Saturday after? Same swaps? Everyone cool with that?"
A simultaneous nod went around the group, and Lady Noire and Mister Bug settled it - every other Saturday would henceforth be known as "Kwami Swap Day".
"Pound it?" asked Doragon, sticking out his fist.
Queen Monkey nodded, returning the bump. "Pound it."
It hadn't been expected, no, but it wasn't any less welcome because of that.
This friendship would be one for the ages, for sure...

Just a Dream - A MLB Oneshot
Birds were chirping, the sun was drifting through the dust lazily, and Alix was fighting to stay awake. Her dad had had to run to the Louvre early, so she'd been dropped off a full hour before school started. Armed with her backpack stuffed full of half-completed homework and a cooling cup of foul-smelling coffee, Alix trudged upstairs towards the locker room. She put her lunch, several binders, and her foul-smelling gym stuff into her locker before taking her backpack, now much lighter, upstairs.
The door was unlocked even though Mrs. Bustier still hadn't left the early morning teacher meetings she had to attend every Friday. Alix nudged the door open with her toe, shouldered a yawn, and paused mid-step as she spied the other person in the room.
In the spot where Adrien would usually sit was a girl with pink and orange streaks in her blonde hair, along with several friendship bracelets braided into the hair at the nape of her neck. Her mouth was open as she slept, and messy red eyeshadow was smudged around the corners of her eyes. She wore a band shirt that Alix did not recognize, and black ripped jeans with worn-through tennis shoes.
Alix had never seen her before.
Alix carefully scootched past her and went to set her stuff down at her desk. Then, after a moment's deliberation, she walked back down the aisle and prodded the girl's arm.
"Hey!" She called. "Time to get up, please."
"Ugh!" The girl groaned, rubbing her eyes as she woke. "Did I fall asleep in class again?" She rubbed her eyes as she looked up and squinted at the empty board. Her eyebrows suddenly knit together in confusion.
"Uh, who are you?" Alix asked as the newcomer stared at the board like they were trying to remember where they'd seen it before.
"Marilyn…?" She answered as she turned to look at Alix. Her jaw fell open as she took in Alix's bubble-gum pink hair and her unique outfit. Alix didn't think that was quite fair, seeing as what she was wearing. She crossed her arms and stared at the punk girl. Then, Marilyn said something Alix hadn't quite expected: "Alex Kubdel."
Alix blinked. "Have we met?" She asked slowly.
Marilyn blinked slowly. She looked at the board and then put her head down again. "I must still be dreaming." She yawned absentmindedly.
"Uh, no you're not?" Alex asked. The door swung open again. It was Kim, fresh from his morning sprints around the school and holding a green smoothie and a diet soda to help it go down. Marilyn sat back up when she saw him.
"Le Chien Kim." She said aloud.
"Just Kim," Kim said absentmindedly as he trooped up the stairs past Alix. Then, he paused. "Have we met?" He asked.
Marilyn stared at the both of them. Her eyes flickered from their frames to the classroom board, to the ceiling. Then, she shrugged and laid her head down on her folded arms. "Not my weirdest dream." She mumbled. "But while I'm here, you should know I totally ship you two together."
"What?" Alix asked. Kim looked abosolutely repulsed.
"Yeah." Marilyn nodded. "You and Kim should totally get together and do those weird couple yoga things and race each other around Paris. It'd be cute."
"Excuse me." Alix planted a hand down in front of Marilyn's face. "Do we even know you? Who do you think you are, to barge in and start making judgment calls on our lives?"
Marilyn sat back up, clearly annoyed that her sleep schedule is being interrupted. "Don't shoot." She drawled. "And it's not just me. Half the fandom thinks you should get together!"
The door swung open again. Marilyn turned to see who had entered, and recited: "Ivan Bruell, Mylene Haprele."
Their other two classmates stopped in surprise. Alix growled.
"You're already together and you're super cute." Marilyn giggled. "I was so excited when I saw Stoneheart for the first time! It was so cute. The way Ladybug caught Mylene while capturing that akuma was so freaking cool!"
Ivan furrorwed his brow at her. "How do you know about that?" He asked.
"Well, the episode was kind of made of close-ups. It was super awesome. If you ask me, they shouldn't have done the red and black spotted backsplash for when Alya got trapped behind the car though." Marilyn shrugged.
"Trapped behind a car?" Alix asked.
"Black and red spots?" Mylene tilted her head in confusion.
"Yeah. Animator decision though. Can I go back to sleep?" Marilyn yawned and put her head on top of a fist.
"Uh, no, you can't." Alix rolled her eyes. "You can't just appear in our classroom, say all these weird things, and go to sleep when we want to ask you stuff about it. So, sit up." She grabbed the back of Marilyn's shirt and hoisted the girl into an upright position as Mylene, Ivan, and Kim gathered around her.
"Sheesh!" Marilyn complained. "Why are you so touchy? My dreams aren't usually like this."
Alix reached out and grabbed the fleshy part of Marilyn's arm. She pinched, hard. Marilyn yelped.
"See?" Alix asked, frustrated. "We're not a dream. Now pay attention."
Marilyn blinked and looked down and where a red mark was starting to form on her arm. She took her skin in between her fingers and pinched herself. Nothing happened. "Oh my gosh," Marilyn said loudly as her eyes began to grow wide. "Oh my gosh!"
"What?" Alix asked irritably.
"I've been transported to the miraculous ladybug realm?" Marilyn shrieked. "Oh gosh, this is what I get for staying up late finishing my stupid math homework! I'm sorry, karma!"
"What's she going on about?" Kim asked the other three classmates as Marilyn seized her own hair and began to pull. They shrugged.
The door to the classroom opened again. A noise was beginning to come from the courtyard below. Students were starting to arrive. Marilyn spun as more people entered the room. "Rose Lavillant, Juleka Couffaine, Max Kante, and Nathaniel Kurtzburg!" Marilyn counted off on her fingers. "That means I'm in a room with Timebreaker, Dark Cupid, Horrificator, Stoneheart, Princess Fragrance, Refleckta, Gamer, and Evillustrator! That's like, a third of season one?"
"Season one?" Mylene asked hesitantly.
Marilyn jumped up and ran to the board. "You guys are part of my favorite TV Show, Miraculous Ladybug! The first episode of season three just barely came out and – ugh!" She paused with a long white piece of chalk in her hands as she shook her tiny fists. "I hate Lila so much!" She shrieked before she began to scribble three lists on the board.
"Lila's such a good and interesting person, though!" Rose said. She looked as confused as the rest of them but still had to stand up for her friend. "She's a personal friend of Prince Ali's!"
"Not really." Marilyn paused in her list writing to turn around and face Rose. "She really is a stupid, stupid liar, and I hate her guts."
"What are you doing?" Kim asked.
On the board were, as previously mentioned, three long lists. The last one had only one word: Chameleon. The others had twenty-six with a 'Christmas Special' in between. Alix recognized many of the names right off the bat. Timebreaker, of course, had been her akumatized identity. In fact, it seemed like Marilyn was listing akumas. Some of the ones she was talking about Alix didn't even recognize. Who was Copycat, or The Collector?
"I've seen every episode," Marilyn announced proudly. "That's about 700 minutes of watch time between all released episodes, not including the webisodes or the chibi episodes, which are so cute!" Marilyn paused to squeal as she began to circle certain villains on her lists. "I've watched episodes in French, German, Spanish, but mostly English. I've transcribed articles for MLB Wikia, and I make fan theories, and I can't draw super well but I love the fanart in this fandom. It's so pretty!" She finished circling and proudly presented her work to the stunned kids in the room. "These are by far the best episodes. Like this one, Style Queen, we learn what happened to Adrien's mom, and it's so sad!"
"What did I just walk into?" Someone asked from the doorway. It was Chloe, with her white designer purse slung over her shoulder and Sabrina by her side. Everyone rolled their eyes as she strolled inside. She examined the board tactfully. "You're missing akumas if that's what you're trying to do. Vanisher, for one." She flipped her hand at Sabrina, who looked delighted to have been awknowledged.
"No, I'm listing episodes," Marilyn said as if it were obvious. She sized up the two new girls. "Sabrina Raincomprix. Your dad is the police officer who needs to learn to cool his jets." Before Sabrina could defend her dad, Marilyn squinted at Chloe. "Ugh." She said. "I hated you back in season one for what you did to Kim, but I guess you do get a small redemption for what happened during the Queen's fight episodes and for shaming Hawkmoth on his fashion." Marilyn snorted and began to laugh.
"Episodes?" Sabrina asked softly.
Alix rolled her eyes. "She thinks she's asleep and we're all from a TV Show she watches when she's awake."
"You are!" Marilyn insisted. "I have clips and articles and fanarts on my phone to prove it!" She reached into her pocket and pulled out a sleek phone with a large screen. When she showed the screen to their classmates, they fell silent. Then, after a long pause, Nathaniel asked: "Is that supposed to be Marinette and Adrien?"
"Yes." Marilyn blushed with pride. "Aren't they adorable? They're my OTP."
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng?" Chloe asked in disgust.
"Yes." Marilyn squealed. "Did you know her name was almost Bridgette when they first started animating her? And her love interest was originally Felix, but Felix didn't have much opportunity for character development, so they let him go and made Adrien, our sinammon roll son, instead?"
Someone made a squeaking sound from the door. Everyone turned to see Alya and Nino standing in the doorway, looking extremely surprised and confused.
"I'm sorry." Nino coughed as he tried to talk around clearing his throat. "Did you just call my dude a cinnamon roll?"
"With an 's'," Marilyn confirmed. "If you ask me, I think Chat is way hotter than Adrien. He's just so much more… free and happy. Sure of himself."
No one was quite sure of what to say.
Marilyn looked around the room in amazement. "Woah." She said. "This is amazing. This has to be a dream. There's no way this can actually be happening. I mean, all we're missing is-"
"Hey, guys, what's going on?" Adrien asked as he walked into class behind Nino and Alya. Marilyn's jaw dropped and unhinged as she stared with wide eyes at him. "Oh, new student?" He asked uneasily.
"Oh my gosh!" Marilyn jumped off the desk and sprinted to him. "I have so many things I want to tell you and – holy crap, I can't believe it's you!" She screamed.
Adrien looked extremely uncomfortable as he awkwardly set his backpack down and pushed it under his desk with his foot.
"Where's my phone?" Marilyn panicked. "I have to show all of you guys my favorite Ladynoir fanart!"
"Ladynoir?" Alya perked up. Nino groaned.
"No." He complained. "Don't start her up on this. They're not a couple."
"I know!" Marilyn growled in frustration. "Isn't it so frustrating? I mean, if they would reveal themselves already, we could all go home and have a lovely rest of our lives, but no! They have to work the stupid love square into every minute of this show and –" She suddenly whirled on Adrien, "If I hear you call Ladybug 'a very good friend' one more time, I'm going to freak out."
"I haven't!" Adrien protested feebly.
"Back up." Alix sighed. "What's Ladynoir?"
"The ship name for Ladybug and Chat Noir." Alya supplied.
"There's also Adrienette, Marichat, and Ladrien. My personal favorite is Ladynoir. Power couple all the way!" Marilyn pumped her fist in the air.
Alix knew she could be a little slow on the uptake sometimes. Sometimes she had to be retaught things from math and her French teacher had to go a bit slower for her, but if she was counting correctly then that meant…
"Are you talking about Marinette?" Alya asked with a face. "Because, uh, she's smitten, and not with Chat Noir."
Adrien blinked and looked around. "Can someone explain what's going on?
"She thinks we're all from her favorite TV Show that apparently centers around a love square between you, Marinette, Chat Noir, and Ladybug while they fight akumas." Max supplied.
"Wait, what?" Marilyn asked.
Adrien looked equally taken aback. "But… I'm not into Marinette. Or Chat Noir for that matter."
"Of course you are!" Marilyn groaned. She looked like she was going to have an anesrum. "You're the secondary character and the love interest and everything depends on you!" She paused. "Actually, scratch that, basically every single problem in the entire series would be solved if Chloe learned to be nice, Lila quit lyin'-" Adrien stiffened at that remark, "-And if Gabriel and Natalie got together."
Adrien began to choke. "What?" He asked. "Excuse me?"
"No, but hear me out!" Marilyn exclaimed. "If Gabriel and Natalie got together, then Hawkmoth wouldn't have a reason to send out any more akumas, and Ladybug and Chat Noir could reveal their identities," She gave a not-so-subtle glare at Adrien, "And the love square would be resolved and everything would be fine!" She threw her hands up in the air along with her cell phone. Everyone watched it turn flips through the air until it hit the wall and remained still beside the door.
Mylene raised her hand. "I still don't see how Hawkmoth plays into that." She said. "Is Hawkmoth trying to, like, get Gabriel and Natalie together?"
Marilyn snorted. "If only our problems were that easy." She rolled her eyes. "Anyways, if Chloe were nicer people wouldn't get akumatized as much because as of right now she's caused fifteen akumas, not counting her own akumatizations. Most of those were in Season One, so she's gotten better, but still. Marinette's caused eleven, however, I count Zombiezou as one both Marinette and Chloe caused because Chloe caused the situation, but it was Marinette's anger that drew the Akuma in the first place." She paused to take a deep breath as everyone stared.
Finally, Rose piped up from the back. "And, uhm, what about Lila lying?"
"Oh, she's a nasty rotten liar who I've never heard spout a single truth since she was akumatized in Volpina. She's an absolute brat." Marinlynn answered with an eyeroll as she leaned back against Mrs. Bustier's desk.
"I am not!" Someone shouted from the doorway. It was Lila. Her face was turning red and her fists were clenched and shaking. "I've never told a single lie!" She said, crossing her arms over her chests.
"Oh, like when you stole Adrien's book about superheroes, got a fox miraculous knockoff and dropped his book in the trash, causing him to get grounded for life?" Marilynn asked with a raised eyebrow. "I'm quite sorry no one took you up on your sprained wrist lie, considered you switched up what hand it was at the end of the day."
The room fell deathly silent. Lila's face was becoming multichromatic as she shook with rage. Marilynn licked the tip of her finger, pointed at Lila, and made a sizzling sound with her teeth. Then, she turned to the class. "You all should probably know she's actively and willingly worked with Hawkmoth before. To the point when she was angry at Marinette and Adrien she literally took an akuma she found that was supposed to be for Marinette and put it in her own earring. The entire fandom hates her guts and we make memes all the time about how the fox says nothing but lies."
"This is unbelievable." Adrien shook his head. "The book was returned miraculously and I was ungrounded. Dad never even said anything to me about it. And how can you expect us to believe all of this? It's honestly… far fetched."
Marilyn began to laugh. She laughed so hard she doubled over onto her knees and then knelt on the ground laughing. Finally, she looked up with tears in her eyes. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng returned the book for you. But not before she showed it to Master Fu and he took three-million photos of it."
"Master… Fu?" Adrien stumbled, eyes wide.
"Mhmm!" Marilynn nodded. She crossed her legs criss-cross applesauce underneath her and smiled. "The Collector was a really interesting episode. We found out the identity of Hawkmoth."
The entire class did a double intake. "You know who Hawkmoth is?" Alya gasped. She reached for her phone, but Nino pulled it out of her pocket and held it under his arm so she couldn't wrench it back.
"I know everyone's identities." Marilyn's eyes sparkled. "Even Ladybug and Chat Noir." Everyone was silent; no one believed her.
Marilyn stood back up and wandered back to the board. The class parted as she went. She picked up the chalk and examined the list in season two. "Queen Bee first transformed in the Episode Queen Wasp." She recited as she made a large arrow pointing to the episode in question, which was already circled for importance, and wrote 'Chloe Bourgeois' beside it. "And Carapace transformed in Anansi." Marilyn shivered as she made another arrow. "I hate spiders." She murmured as she wrote 'Nino Lahiffe' beside the episode.
No one said anything.
"Rena Rouge first transformed in Sapotis." Marilyn continued as she drew a third arrow and wrote 'Alya Cesaire' next to the episode title.
"Wait," Alex said. "Do you mean… Alya and Nino are superheroes?"
Adrien looked very surprised. He stared at Nino as his best friend rubbed the back of his neck. "You were Carapace?" He asked.
"Yeah, sorry man." Nino shrugged. "I wasn't really supposed to tell anyone, even you."
Marilyn snorted, and leaned her head against the chalkboard.
"What?" Adrien asked her.
"Nothing." Marilyn shook her head. "Just… Irony." She made an arrow pointing to the Collector and then paused. She turned around to stare at Adrien, and the corners of her mouth twitched downwards in sympathy. Then she turned back to the board and scrawled 'Gabriel Agreste' beside the episode.
Adrien lurched backward as if he'd been shot. "No!" He exclaimed. "He was an akuma. He was The Collector! He can't be Hawkmoth."
"He akumatized himself," Marilyn answered, stepping back from the board and tossing the chalk in her hand. "He knew you were hot on his trail when he discovered the book was gone, so he akumatized himself. Natalie knew. She's in love with him though, so she keeps silent about the whole thing."
Adrien fell back against his desk with a thump. Marilyn examined her writing. "Ladybug and Chat Noir appear in every episode, of course." She announced to the room. "They're the love square, the main event. Watching them flail around each other is honestly why the show is so popular."
Max blinked and looked sideways at the board. "Ladybug and Chat Noir are the Love Square?" He asked.
"Yes." Marilyn nodded.
"And how many akumas has Marinette caused?" Max asked.
"A lot." Marilyn chuckled. "She did Gamer, Antibug, and Volpina in season one."
"No, she didn't." Chloe and Lila said at the exact same time. They looked at each other in surprise, and then Chloe turned back to Marilyn. "Ladybug did." She said. "I was akumatized when she called me a liar to Chat Noir."
"And I was akumtised when Ladybug came out of nowhere and yelled at me!" Lila exclaimed. Marilyn snorted.
"Yeah, Marinette isn't perfect, but she always does her best. Adrien didn't even apologize for akumatising Copycat." Marilyn gave Adrien a quick glare.
"Copycat?" Alya asked. "Wasn't that when Chat Noir stole the Mona Lisa?"
"Theo Barbot." Marilyn recited. "He sculpted the statue of Ladybug and Chat Noir. When Ladybug didn't show because she was busy stealing Adrien's phone, Chat Noir took the opportunity to tell Theo that he and Ladybug were dating. Theo was akumatized and Adrien never even apologized."
Silence filled the room. Adrien dragged his sweat-covered hands up and down his pants legs. He was still reeling over his dad being Hawkmoth. Marilyn laughed. "You don't all have to look at me like that. Marinette has stolen, like, three people's phones."
"Why would Adrien have to apologize for Chat Noir?" Chloe asked quietly.
Marilyn blinked. "Oh, you're still puzzling on that? You're a little slow on the uptake. Adrien's alter-ego is Chat Noir. With the black cat ring and his kwami Plagg he can transform into the cat-themed superhero."
"Stop," Nino whispered. He looked like he was in pain.
"Wait, wait wait!" Max waved his hands about. "Going back to that love-square-thingy you mentioned with the Ladynoir and Marilap-"
"Marichat!" Marilyn corrected with a glare.
"That would mean that Adrien takes up a place in all those points as either Adrien or Chat Noir and if I'm to interpret your claims of Marinette akumatising Lila and Chloe correctly, then that means that Marinette would also take up a place on each pairing of the square because Marinette would be-"
The door flew open with a bang and a girl with a red face and a pink purse skidded into the room. "Not late!" She yelled triumphantly, crashing into Alya as Marilyn's eyes grew wide.
"Oh no," Nino whispered softly into his hand.
Marilyn opened her mouth as wide as she could and screamed: "LADYBUG!"
