Well, she's officially a Masters student now! I accepted a few weeks ago at the university I work for, and I'll start classes in the Fall. 😊 She collecting psych degrees like it's her job. Idk how busy I will be with school and work in August, but yall ain't seen the last of me yet. 😜 Anyway, life update, I guess.

Well, people who criticize S5 mainly talk about second part of it (and Derision)
That is true.
Though honestly Derision is only hated as much as it is because of how it treats Chloé.
Though for me, I’m more annoyed at Kim and Sabrina. Chloé as of season 4 was basically a mustache twirling villain. So it didn’t phase me.
Plus I do enjoy episodes in the second half. Protection, Emotion, intuition, Representation. All banger episodes.
Season 5 has a lot of great episodes
It also has a few stinkers.
The only issue with season 5 is really the ending. Which I still will argue makes Voltron’s ending seem genius in comparison.
But I digress. It’s still has appeal as a season.
#i dont hate derision necessarily#but i do think its main issue was that it came in s5#it should have been a s1 episode imo#bc as others have pointed out it changes a lot of the perceptions of marinette in prior seasons#rather than explaining from the beginning#like it would have been cute if in s1 adrien agreed to hang out with his friend#maybe even a group hang with alya and nino for moral support#and marinette is just panicking the whole time#and we learn about her past early on through alya comforting her#also kim is still in his mean boy chloe loving era prior to ondine#and it could have perhaps set kim on a better path realizing he genuinely hurt marinette before#and opened the door for everyone to develop down the line#alya helping marinette overcome her trauma to ask adrien out#and kim moving on from chloe and being less of a douche#but ehhhh#again i dont personally hate the episode as a concept just think it would be better served earlier on
