#whump! at the disco

Thinkin about a whumpee that's undercover on a mission. They're at a gala full of important people and their job is hunting down their target- whumper, to gather intel on them. Whumpee goes as an attendee, dressed to the nines. They chat with guests and have a decent time, meeting an old friend who had also been invited.
Eventually they get to work. They find out where whumper is hanging out and make their way in that direction. As they're passing through a dark corridor they're suddenly grabbed from behind, a sharp pain ripping through them at the same time.
"Well, well.. I guess you managed to find me, huh?" Whumper hisses into their ear quietly as they continue pressing the knife into whumpee's torso.
All they can do is let out a strangled groan before whumper rapidly pulls the knife away causing them to collapse, slumped against the wall.
"Stop looking into matters that don't concern you. Next time I won't be so kind." Whumper sneers down at them before storming away.
Whumpee clutches their side, slumped in the corner on the floor. They hiss in pain before realizing that they have to get out of this mess before they jeopardize their entire mission.
They shakily come to a standing position, relying on the wall for support with one hand as their other applies pressure to the wound. They check over themselves, and realize that if they hid under the coat they had on, they could hide the injury as they escaped the party.
They button the front of their overcoat, concealing the dark splotch of blood on their shirt. After grimacing through another wave of pain, they take a deep breath before walking with purpose back towards the exit.
They manage to reach the lobby, exit in sight, before hearing their name called from behind them.
"Whumpee, hey! Where are you heading?" The old friend they had been chatting with earlier was headed their direction.
Shit.
Whumpee spins around, trying to conceal that anything is wrong.
"Oh hey! I was just headed home," They begin to explain. "I'm just super tired.." Whumpee chuckles nervously.
The old friend frowns disappointedly, "Aw man, but its been forever! I was hoping we could hang out some more?"
Whumpee smiles sadly, truly appreciating the offer. "I'd love to, but-" they're cut off by their excited friend before they can finish.
"Then stay! Please? I have to tell you about the missions I've been on lately, and then show you this-" They excitedly begin a run-on sentence, obviously a little intoxicated judging by their speaking volume alone.
Whumpee goes on autopilot, the sharp pain in their side becoming an intense throbbing sensation instead that seemed to sink into their bones. They nod and smile as they listen to their friend go on about the crazy assignment they had just returned from. They were beginning to feel faint.
"...-Have the time?" Whumpee comes back to the present, having drifted into thought. Friend is staring down at them expectantly, still grinning.
"What?" Whumpee blinks at them dumbly, no longer able to think cohesive thoughts.
Friend furrows their brow in concern at their out of place confusion. "Do you... Have the time..?" they repeat.
"Oh," Whumpee shakes their head slightly with a soft chuckle as they unbutton their coat, reaching into their inner pocket for their phone. "Ah, sorry. Like I said I should get going. I'm very tired."
Friend notices their hands trembling as they undo the buttons. "Hey, are you alright? You're shaking really badl-" They cut themselves off abruptly as whumpee rummages around for their phone.
Whumpee glosses over the question as they pull out their phone.
"Yeah, It's like half past.., Uh, w-why are you looking at me like that?" Whumpee finally looks back up at their friend, who's expression had gone serious and their eyes wide.
"You're hurt. Badly." Friend mutters in a low voice, fear evident.
Whumpee stood with phone in hand and coat unfastened, revealing the dark blood stain that had spread across the front of their shirt, doubling in size since they had last seen it.
Whumpee realizes their mistake, quickly looking away as they attempt to button their coat again. They try to keep breathing through the constant pain as the sound of their friend's concerned voice becomes more distant.
Their vision starts to swim as they sway lightly on their feet. Suddenly, the ground is coming up to meet them as they collapse. They can vaguely register the sound of their friend's voice shouting their name as hands try to grab them before they hit the ground.

hey also. part of kim's fixation on note-taking seems to be a genuine fear of forgetting, and as a way to process his thoughts. why do you think that is. why doesn't he trust his memory, why does he need to commit his thoughts and observations to paper.
could it be that he's intimately familiar with the transience of experience and the unreliability of memory, because his parents left next to nothing behind for him to remember them by and he was far to young to realistically have any lasting memories of them. could it be that he's writing to leave an indelible mark on the world, that he nor anyone else can forget or muddy or question "did this really happen, or has it been skewed by the fickle synapses of the human brain?". hey.

so its come to my attention that people are quite upset over this image, so i decided to actually show the comfort part of the hurt.
kim had to be sedated because when they brought harry into surgery he wouldnt stop trying to go in after him to the point where he actually knocked out one of the nurses. when he wakes up he demands to see harry and doesnt leave his side
kim has a normal reaction to all of this and is very very sane

Fanfic Writing Ideas / Goals
Fandoms I want to write for that you should ask me about or talk to me about or give me ideas for or pester me about writing for (and I’m not putting the slashes and stuff in so if you stumble across this post while not being a part of my niche fetish community, no you didn’t):
Fellow Travelers: thinking in a context where Hawk has the fetish and Tim indulges him with some of the topping from the bottom/role reversal dynamics from the show. And Hawk sneezes really loud. Bc I want him to. Tim meanwhile just has the woooooooorst allergies and get some satisfaction out of someone being turned on rather than turned off by them for once.
Red White and Royal Blue: kinda thinking it would be fun to do a mutual fetish thing, probably changing some details about how they met and their interactions prior to the Cake Incident, but also I can’t work out the timing. I want one or the other (probably Alex bc how would Henry even do this) to have Very Secretly put some sneeze fetish content out into the internet and the other has been getting off to it since that very day, without realizing who it was. Also really trying to decide how much I can convince myself that Henry has a mental block and/or *always* stifles but actually if you get him to let it out he has a surprisingly big/loud/harsh sneeze. I know Alex sneezes loud and proud and uncovered and with a high-pitched upturn at the end, and is the kind of guy who sneezes just kinda randomly all the time, but it isn’t like intense fits unless he encounters one of his few allergies and then it is Intense Fits, you know what I mean?
Check Please: which I have a whole setup for, definitely a mutual fetish situation for Nursey and Dex where like Dex has The Perfect Big Loud Sneeze for Nurse but he always stifles so Nurse has the hots for a Mystery Loud Sneeze Guy who is later revealed to be Dex. Also something involving Holster also having Big Loud Uncovered Epic Dad Sneezes that echo through the Haus and Nursey and Dex both are like SO into, bc that guy just seems like he’d absolutely holler out his sneezes for real. And that he’d get like Epic Man Flu with Epic Dad Sneezes, etc.
Ted Lasso: specifically giant!sneeze Roy, and more specifically: “sex-linked giant sneezes are common and considered hot and Roy’s are EXTRA BIG and therefore considered Extra Hot but he is grumpy about this as he always is about everything” also he’s in some sort of romantic entanglement with Keeley and/or Jamie. And I still haven’t decided what Jamie’s sneezes should be like but he’s definitely going to have some degree of jealousy-of-Roy-and-the-jealousy-is-also-horny situation going on.
9-1-1: Somebody on here suggested Buck as a possible Big Sneezer character and I was like eh maybe that actor’s hot but THEN they made him Canonically Bi on the show and now I’m like fuck yeah make it happen need it yesterday. And I’m trying to decide if I want to go with the whole Buddie thing and have Eddie be a fetishist and maybe they can do a like “well like I’m Not Into Dudes like you are (yes he is stop lying) but I have this weird like… Thing for Sneezes and your sneezes are I dunno they’re like really big and hot and maybe we should make out about that and definitely not about Feelings” or if I want Buck to have the kink, but actually I think I’m leaning towards the former bc I want Buck’s big loud sneezes to be like A Problem somehow bc he’s such a cute golden retriever guy that I kinda want to whump him a little. Gentle whump. And then comfort bc like “I don’t have a problem with your sneezes and actually I kinda think they’re… hot?” Yeah, that sounds fun. I am deciding this now as I’m writing lmao.
Also possibly interested in Disco Elysium, like y’all make that fandom sound really hot and again one of those characters having the fetish could be suuuuuper hot also Harry definitely has the Dad Sneezes of all Dad Sneezes.
Also also I have the whole Dream Daddy setup that I’ve written about before on here. Really want to do the Hugo and Brian dates that I have plotted out especially, but always feel like once I get out of the Dream Daddy world I lose the voice for that fandom and it really requires a very specific voice. Although maybe I’ll just base it on the fics I’ve already written. Like if I just emulate that voice it’ll be close enough and at least it will be internally consistent.
Also also also I have the King’s New Allergy story that I feel I have basically revealed as a BBC Merlin fanfic, for which I want to write a steamy epilogue involving The King and The Mage huddled up in the King’s chambers while he sneezes out the last of the Big Magic Sneezes and they talk about the fetish and they fuck lmao.
I think that’s all I have on my list fanfic wise but if I’ve mentioned something else or you think something else would be a good idea for me to look into hit me up! In particular I think Ted Lasso and the sorta-kinda-Merlin-ish fic are the only ones that include real giant!sneeze (as opposed to my usual ridiculously loud and borderline unrealistically so sneeze) and perhaps I should also think of more fanfiction contexts that could accommodate that too.

"Does it hurt when I do this?" Whumper asked with a wide grin, jerking the sanitised metal rod again.
They had made an incision in Whumpee's abdomen, planning to look around on the inside with some proper, surgical equipment, but then... the thought just occurred to them. Why not just have some fun instead? They had worked hard for the past week.
Whumpee screamed at the horrid feeling of something foreign continuously bumping against their organs. The sensation was indescribable, it was violating, it was agonising, it was the worst thing they had ever felt.
"Make it stop!" they wailed. "Please! Make it stop! Make it stop!"
The straps holding them in place didn't even budge, and Whumper seemed entirely unbothered. No, worse - they seemed to be amused.
"Are you suggesting I not take a ride on this disco stick? What an absolute killjoy."

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I always mean to! but sometimes the Anxiety gets in the way. I made a concerted effort like a month ago to reply to some out of date comments and I'm hoping to continue.
What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I have a history of writing one-shots of whump prompts, so some of those have quite punchy endings. Fate is a very dramatic show and so it's not a far leap to be cruel sometimes. But of my longfics, It Was Just Red is definitely the angstiest, but to be fair it's a prequel story to one with a happier ending.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I've written quite a few I would consider happy, one that comes to mind of late is A Lady's Guide to Fools and Fortunes, the Rivusa Bridgerton AU I wrote with Val.
Do you get hate on fics?
In a previous fandom I received hate for a twist ending to a longfic. To be fair to my audience, I didn't lay much groundwork (at all) for the twist; I was still a young author who thought it was fun to pull the wool over the eyes of my readers. After BBC Sherlock showed me how awful that was (plus general maturity), I have since learned my lesson.
I've also gotten a comment or two criticizing my characters' choices and I steam over them but ultimately ignore them. A character making a bad choice doesn't mean I'm endorsing that choice. I don't want to read a story about perfect people who never do anything wrong, and I'm definitely not going to write that either.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Are there different kinds of smut? Tropes, maybe? I have written everything from fading to black to fully explicit group sex. At this point I tend to fade to black except when I consider the detail important to the story (for example, choosing to break a vow of celibacy…).
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I have never really grokked crossovers, I don't think I have that kind of brain where I can reconcile separate worldbuilding. It's never grabbed me as a reader, either, but I am a bit envious of those with the imagination to do it!
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yeppers.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! I had one fic translated recently, with permission, and I'm glad I did because a hilarious catfight erupted in the comments, involving the anonymous aggressor informing my translator that her father, the owner of ficbook, was going to delete the fic, and co-opted a sock account to validate Anonymous Aggressor's paternity.
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yessss my usual partner in crime is Val who is fantastic at motivation and bouncing off ideas. Mo my usual beta who provides amazing enough feedback I sometimes feel like I should list her as co-writer.
What's your all-time favorite ship?
I'm a multi-shipper; I tend to fixate on one character and I'm happy to explore their dynamic with a variety of ships.
What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
In general if I start posting something then I'm going to finish it, no matter how brutal it gets. But starting to think that The Last Resort, my Rivusa fake dating AU with Val, might never recover from Fate S2.
What are your writing strengths?
I think I am pretty good at conveying characters' states of mind, through their internal thoughts and what they're physically doing. I think my writing has dramatically improved in the last two years since I got into Fate and most of that has to do with being thoughtful about showing what characters are thinking/doing and why, instead of telling.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Listen. I amn just a litle creacher. Sometimes I just completely miss certain things in canon and their implications, so off I go writing away my own interpretation that's "incorrect" (yeah yeah I know, fuck canon, but it matters to me! Sometimes!). I can be very guilty of projecting qualities onto my most fave and least fave characters that are a stretch when reconciled with canon.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Sure? I have learned not to treat your readers with kid gloves. They can figure out meanings from context.
First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter, on my neopets.com petpage because I didn't know about LiveJournal or fanfiction.net
Favorite fic you've written?
This is just cruel to have to choose! But I always circle back to Point of No Return. Rereading it now there are a lot of improvements I would make to the writing, but a) it's the fic that got me back into writing after a 5ish year dry spell, b) it hits pretty much all of my fave tropes/whumps, c) it led me to connecting with a new community that I now speak to daily and have even visited across the ocean! and d) it absorbed so much of my life (I wrote 60k in a little over a month) that I finally had the guts to share my writing hobby with my partner, who is wonderfully supportive. That fic changed my life for the better in so many ways.
