No one thing that was really true in my investigating attitudes to sexuality in Tudor England is that I swear people would be like ‘obviously sodomites are sinners in need of repentence’ but sodomites could mean a whole range of sex related sins depending (obviously often anal sex between men (which more explicitly with the buggery act) and ALSO they wouldn’t actually connect it with couples they knew (depending)
(I actually looked up the execution figures as well)
(And again it’s not that Tudor England was a paradise of danger free acceptance but it was also complicated)
(Like finding mentions of male prostitutes in diaries and poems! Like people definitely knowing the Achilles and Patroclus/Hephaestion and Alexander (not in our modern definitions/concepts but also like They Knew) and also there being a concept of, it honestly being very dependent on who you were and the idea that everyone thought it was sinful is…not the whole picture (and also often yes the concept but when it came to actual people not so much)

What is 'The Crows Have Cameos' about??
So I kind of love doing cameos of my blorbos from other fandoms as like, a little bonus to myself (even if I give them other names and adapt the backstory!) and thus, The Crows (who are a bunch of found family teenage heist team from a duology by Leigh Bardugo (that ties into a larger world called The Grishaverse)) who in this case work as intelligence agents/spies for The Crown in between running an inn called The Crows Nest (I think).
(There may be cameos from other fandoms as well, I kind of have some Scarlet Pimpernel ideas for in universe and also West Wing characters under other names and…)

All right, so, since canonically it is somewhat debatable whether or not Sauron discovered exactly who he had in his dungeon, I think it would be bloody hilarious if this was the first time he realised it.
Like, he must surely have heard of Galadriel, especially if in the show’s universe, she’s made a reputation for herself as the “scourge of the Orcs”, and thus be aware of her family connections. But even without that, she identifies herself as the daughter of Finarfin. So just imagine here, the whole time his brain is going into overdrive.
“A place of darkness and despair? Sounds a bit like Tol-in-Gaurhoth. But she’s the sister of…… oh. oh no. oh no fucking way. You mean to tell me that all the time Dungalef was —fucking FELAGUND. Grishaverse Hunger Games: I wrote summaries of all the characters journeys and I wanted to go into detail - I have Jespers and I’m working on Kaz right now (he is very difficult to get talking). It’s taking the fact that the Crows and My Favourites From Shadow And Bone know each other and became friends and made me think - all these different Victors coming together to become family and also take down some fuckers (mostly Darkles)
Rewrite The Stars 2.0: I’m rewriting the first Tudors OT3 verse fic because it was only meant as a one shot and I have so so much more world building and ideas to write. I’m just stuck right now because (see above). It’s a fairy tale with a happy ending but it has a fight, it has pain and it has scars that will remain heavy but also, there will be love.
In another world this is how it might have gone between the three of them. The story of how the love between three extraordinary people change the world for the better and made it the kindest. The story of a fight for a fairytale
Crown Of Ashes:
Crown of Ashes is very inspired by the Taylor Swift Song Castle Crumbling. It’s a ‘what if Mary Tudor made similar choices to her father’ for better (and worse and maybe in between) reasons to her. What if everything the world tells you you should believe and want is wrong actually - what if you get everything you thought you wanted and it sucks.
This one. I know where I want to go, I’m just Not Getting There. I think I need to listen to the playlist again.
Tortall Found Family: Essentially this is about Numair/Arram coming to Tortall, heavy on the Jon-Thayet-Numair friendship but everyone is here, my absolute conviction that Ozorne never stopped loving Numair throughout all the books, that Roger had a really creepy possessive thing for Jon and also BONDING. Also contains Biracial Jon of Conte content (I think).

For the Ask Game: WIP Excerpts (because I LOVE this idea):

🌹Most Poetic: I had a couple of options but I really think this entrie passage actually (it’s from a Criminal Minds Jewish Hotch fic)
This is a year or two after that first Seder when Hotch gathered around his family - the family he has chosen, whether blood or not. Whether they are in this world or the one beyond (of all the things he has seen, of all the things that have happened Hotch has never been able to believe in hell, even despite himself. He does believe in a world beyond this...it was not that he felt he was made worthy laying on that awful apartment carpet, Foyet inside him and everywhere but that he felt G-d already there - in sorrow and kindness and a kind of love and peace that even now he cannot describe. Perhaps it is wrong, to feel such things - perhaps he has stumbled back to his faith wrong but he cannot but cling to it as he does to his grandparents Torah
🤔 Character Makes A Decision: I’m rewriting this fic entirely to expand it and add all the canon that I now have (it was SUPPOSED TO BE A ONE SHOT) but have OT3 verse Henry making A Decision.
Henry is blinded by the weight of his own wrongs. He has neglected his true and beloved wife, his wife who is carrying their child and he has been in love with his Lord Privy Seal all these years. He loves them both and that love has saved him so it can be no sin. To not admit to it would be a worse sin, indeed.
As soon as he can Henry sprints towards Anne’s rooms, hardly noticing the people behind him or a distraught Lady Jane. He finds Anne and Tom (his Anne, his Tom he says to himself) praying quietly together and gestures to Anne’s ladies and the servants to leave with all haste. That’s when he kisses them, apologies falling from his lips over and over again.
👤 Characters Personality:
“After all” says the golden boy, who does not look like he would take direction well now. “What better way to start married life.”
(I could HEAR Nikolai saying this I think I just channelled him there for a moment) - from Karma Is My Family (A Grishaverse Fic).
🎬 Last Line I’ve Written:
Elizabeth wants to rake her eyes out. Instead she curtesies and smiles because what else can she do, can Mihrimah do - Elizabeth’s parents are dead and the older sister she had always loved had killed them and her other allies are banished themselves, must remain hidden or are children as well.
