so, watched ep 1 of the atla live action and uhm, imagine not wanting one of your main characters to depict sexism because you believe it doesn’t read well in Current Times, so instead you double down on the character’s obsession towards leadership in order to give him that extra edge. but in order to make that work u have to make his sister quietly obedient instead of an outspoken leading presence that has the potential to overshadow him. because silencing a female character in order to write out a male character’s story arc of unlearning sexism is obviously a better and less sexist outcome.
[ID: An animatic of Stephanie Brown as Robin set to Tears over Beers by modern baseball. The images are paired with the lyrics. Stephanie as spoiler staring longingly at Bruce, Tim and Cass on a rooftop is paired with "he needed more than me". A compilation of sketches of Steph as robin go with "im friendly and thoughtful and quite awfully pretty". Finally a redraw of Steph's firing as Robin is paired with "but he needed more than me". End ID]
been trying to finish a comic for. Weeks now (just been hitting a lot blocks) and quickly threw this together as a break from it! Do you guys ever think about Stephanie Brown…

is there a different version of asoiaf that sansa stans read? cause I just saw a post blaming her siblings for not telling her about joffrey and in the reblogs, someone wrote how sansa hated joffrey after the trident but that's not in my copy. is it in yours?
They simply do not read the books. They just pass around meta based on the show and their need to sanitize Sansa's character. "She's a child" they cry for every "criticism" against her, but they can't even handle the fact that she had a childish crush on Joffrey which led to her betraying Ned's plans. Instead everyone else gets blamed for her behavior cause they can't comprehend her having a flaw or not doing anything 100% perfect. Notably, none of these takes are every supported by evidence from the books.
sillyguy lineup!! for no reason except i realized there exist quite a few peculiar similarities between mcyt characters i used to/currently draw the most. people just love telling stories about the relationship between a blond bird guy and a brunette who got exploded i guess
individual pairs + the rest of grian's annoyingly large wings under cut<3
I had previously estimated the period of time between 'Vueko recovers from her illness' and 'the village is founded' to be two months, but that may be too short considering the length of her hair in these shots.
Especially the long looped bang -- that portion of hair used to not even come down to her nose, so it grew six to eight inches to become long enough to loop back to one side like that. (I have considered it may be a stylization of some hair from the front sticking together with some from the side, but it does seem clearly drawn as one piece in these shots.)
How long do you personally imagine this time period was? Two months? Six months? Something in between, shorter, or longer...?
she has nothing against daughters inheriting over sons and never has - but she knows the realities that she’s faced as a female attempting to fight for her position when there is a male claimant, and she’s the king’s daughter. with the backing of the king. it was a ? kind of an open secret that many believed she was an exception and not a standard to be set, and she was so incredibly visible and incredibly watched, she couldn’t outwardly express those ideals without worry of men Getting Scared and loosing their support entirely. because she does ? embody the potential for change even if she couldn’t push for it so much outwardly.
Dude I actually have SO many discarded fankid designs like Emmie has gone by three different friend groups and even for the current lineup there have been some forgotten kiddos you guys actually have no idea how many fankids I've designed NSKXBSKXBKX
*sighs in post mildly broke containment again* there's nothing wrong with reading willow as a lesbian, this is a piece of fiction, and the post I made took on a jokey tone for a reason and is ultimately more about underlying bi-erasure on tv than anything else kaybye ✌
