incredibly weird feeling to cite a guy i've actually met
#incredibly weird to proofread my moms essay and see she’s cited one of MY professors. from a book he wrote that she had to read for class#like. this fits well here mom but did you know this guy is the most boring man I’ve ever met#do you know this guy is the only professor whose class I’ve straight up left from pure boredom#mom do you know this guy had us sit in a darkened room right after lunch and had us ‘meditate’ in silence. eyes closed. for 15 minutes#mom do you know this guy has shared custody of his dog with his ex but the dog lives in a city 6 hours from here#so on this guys weeks (mom they do a weekly swap. like divorced people with kids) the dog goes to live with this guys pals in the same city#mom are you aware this guy is unaware that his dog isn’t his dog anymore#and that he’s really boring

Lil tip to all y’all, especially hairy peeps like me; do not use bath bombs that have tiny little seeds in them. You will not get rid of them. The seeds will stick to your hairy flesh and it will look like you are covered in ticks and you’ll know, realistically, that it isn’t ticks because you bathed in a bath full of tiny little seeds by choice but your animal brain will freak out about it because you held and snuggled the neighbors outdoor cat earlier today and What If He Gave You Ticks 😳
No, showering them off does not help. Yes I could pick them off one by one but that would take maybe a month or two. Maybe even three, who knows. Anyways just don’t do it

Happy (belated) birthday to the boy 🫶

We’re on the train, headed to Baz’s parents new house. It’s in some place I’ve never been before, but that’s ok because Baz took care of the tickets (I did offer to fly us, but again, I don’t know the way) (it’s also a bit away and neither of us were sure I’d be able to carry myself and a grown vampire for that whole flight)
He’s had a long day; he’s got this posh office job now which he wanted very badly, but the hours are horrendous.
As usual with Baz, this change in lifestyle has brought with it changes to his wardrobe: he wears loungewear now, as soon as he gets home. After particularly awful days he won’t even have the strength to change into them himself; he’ll step through the door and spell his office ones off and the cozy ones on. They complement his sharpness nicely; makes him more tangible, more like something within reach, that I’m allowed —encouraged, even— to grab a hold of and not let go.
Our luggage is stuffed beneath my seat, and my heels keep bumping into the side of it when I shift. We’ve only brought enough for the two nights we’re staying over, but Baz has this new suit set he wants to wear for his birthday dinner tomorrow and apparently it required ‘room to breathe, Snow’.
Whatever that means.
I’m not going to complain about it, however. It looks absolutely stunning on him; he’s started leaning into the vampire look again, like in school when he slicked his hair back to show off his widows peak, and it’s working wonders now just as it did then. The suit is a sleek and slender thing, paired with a blood red shirt that somehow manages to shift in color depending on where you stand. Baz said there was something special about the fabric (“Is it magic,” I’d asked, rubbing the sleeve between my fingertips. “In a sense,” he’d said. “It’s Normal magic, the art of weaving.”)
We had a drink with Penny and Shep before we left the flat, and the alcohol burns warm in my gut still. I don’t drink much, these days. Haven’t the need to.

I’m doing interviews for my final project and today I interviewed my middle school art teacher and… she offered me her job??? She’s quitting after this semester to pursue other things, and she was hoping to find an old student of hers to take over (because she took over after her old teacher retired) and that’s when I got in touch with her about doing the interview
And I’m gonna be done just in time to start working there in the fall
She said she was gonna tell her boss about me and recommend me to them😳
On top of this she’s also the English teacher at the school and uh. I’m fluent in English (we’re in Sweden and English is one of my birth languages) and I am about to have a teaching degree. And they’re gonna have a vacancy there as well (since she won’t be there). It’s like it’s meant to be😳

It's unfathomable, even more so when you realize this isn't the first time Israel has done this. She was a baby. The men were so obviously red crescent medics, and still, Israeli soldiers shot and killed them.
