“Oh come on don’t give up on me yet” Ahsoka loomed just over your head. Currently shoving your face into the training mat that desperately needed to be washed.
“I’m not out yet.” You breathed out, trying someway to loosen the torgutas grip around you.
You shuffled a little bit under her before trying to swing a leg around her own.
The clones watching cheered loudly, the high celling of the training room enhanced the noise even more.
Your brothers were different when you went against them previously. Sure they were bigger in size but knowing each of them well gave you hints of where to strike first.
Wrestling matches have become the hot topic for those who found downtime and a training mat.
Fives was tough enough- distracted easily with quick moves, sure he was fast but if you could anticipate his next move it went smoother. Comet was the wild card of the group, him being young you expected him to strike quickly but he was more calculated. The only way you got him down was the moves that he couldn’t register quick enough.
Ashoka was calm and closed off, nothing of what she did at the start of the match gave away what she planned. You couldn’t calculate or anticipate her next move, the force couldn’t even help you either.
She knew what she was doing, keeping you in the dark like that was how she got to you so quickly.
Another attempt you finally flipped from the awkward position on your side to your stomach.
She pushed up giving a gap between the two of you, this was the split second you need to flip once again and use your hip to extend into her.
She fell not expecting the new contact, you were on her in a second pinning her legs with your own and her chest with your hands.
Fives flew to the floor with the two of you getting a better look, clearly loving the action he was seeing.
Ahsoka squired from where she was pinned under you, for a moment you thought she’d break through once again but Rex called out to stop the match.
“Sorry Soka, Y/N got you in that one.” Rex held out a hand for the both of you to take and pulling you up.
You laughed at Ahsokas fake pout. “Hey I’m sure you’ll get me in the next one.”
“I’ll keep you to that.” She grabbed your shoulder, breaths coming in as deep as yours.
Boost gripped your free shoulder. “Commander I think we found you a new opponent, one of the men.”
You raised an eyebrow at this, it became a running joke in your battalion that beating you in a silly wrestling match was what they really trained for on Kamino. Sure some clones have but it’s always a fun challenge for all.
“Oh yea?” You questioned.
Before the soldier in front of you could get his second sentence out the training room doors opened.
“Somebody commed?” Wolffe questioned looking around the room. “This better be worth my time.”
You rolled your eyes at the man that entered, you could hear the light tone in his voice which made you relax a little.
“We just need someone to put the commander back into place.” Boost joked looking down at you slinging more of his weight into you.
You rolled your eyes again as a smiled grew on your own face.
“Is that so?” Wolffe smirked himself already unclipping the armor that hung off of him.
You didn’t want to say you were scared, but seeming Wolffe loom in front of you now you started to sweat.
You were too proud to back down now in front of all your friends, but in your head you already knew who you would bet on to win.
“You can skip this fight commander. If your not ready yet.” Wolffe quipped sizing you up from the other side of the mat.
“I think I’ll try my hand at it.” You stared right back at him, trying to do that death stare he always had when about to fight clankers, oh maker that was the face of nightmares
You looked over at Ahsoka as she stood next to Fives, clearly the man was betting on who would win. Ahsoka flashed you a quick shrug pretty much saying ‘yeah your on your own’
Rex’s hand came between you. He looked from one to the other. You saw Wolffe flash a cocky smile at you, trying any way he can to get under your skin.
Focus, you had to focus.
“Ready.” Rex announced “Set, Fight.” His arm flashed back to his side as he got out of the way.
Cheering ensued but all you focused on was Wolffe. What did you know about Wolffe. Calculated, strong, well trained, Tactical, scrappy, patient.
The first moment the two of you stared down the other, Wolffe hopped back and forth on his feet pretty much taunting you to make the first strike.
He knew you would, Wolffe fought beside you for too long to know that when facing an enemy it was easier for you to control the first move leading to controlling the out come of the fight.
He would never let that happen this time.
You lunge at him, the blacks that were draped over him weren’t the best fabric to try and grab onto. Your hands slipped from his torso while trying to get one of his legs out from under him.
Wolffe having no problem himself also went for your legs after you made the first contact. His grip was better than your own.
You stepped around his hands once, now on your knees. You swatted his hands away now once again putting your head down and lunging for him with any contact you could muster
Wolffe couldn’t blink before your were trying at him again. He knew you were fast but was still mildly surprised. The one mistake he did see though was your momentum.
He maneuvered to the side at the last posssible second trapping your upper body between his left arm and his own. He let out a gruff laugh trying to pin you into place.
You squirmed trying to break his iron hold but he, let’s face it was really strong. Your free hand wrapped around his back while you tried to extend your legs to get the commander onto his back.
Wolffe having the upper hand now and mapping all the possible moves you were most likely to try next took it upon himself to bring you to the ground himself.
You stayed on your back now still caught in his arms, you flipped once to your side so Rex couldn’t call the fight over yet.
You had to have another trick up your sleeve. What would Wolffe try next? Knowing him he’s trying to wait you out, until you tire yourself for him.
You froze for a second, without seeing his face his presence in the force wavered for a second in confusion.
“Giving up commander, I thought you were better than this.” His breath betrayed from his voice how this fight wore him. Even if it was the slightest difference.
You started to move again instantly, trying to take the surprise route. Before he knew what happened you were out of his grip now closing the gap between him and the floor for him.
You struggled for a second before pinning on of his arms down.
Cheers from the brothers all around you filled your ears, victory was so close maybes you could pull through.
Wolffe flashed a smirk at you bringing your attention back to him. “You know your masters told me.” He breathed. What was he on about.
You struggled trying to get him off his side. “That pride and lust for victory is something you need to watch.”
His distraction worked. In a moment you felt the ground go out from under you, soon met with the heavy weight of the trooper now really pinning you down.
You knew this is where he wanted you, you could practically see the wheels turning in his head and the plan he created for this flashed across him. It was hopeless now.
You squirmed for what felt like forever, the commander now toying with you. He gave another laugh.
Rex waved his hands in the air calling to stop the fight.
The weight was lifted off your chest as you sucked in the cold air above you.
Wolffe rolled to the side now sitting above you. Some of his brothers taping him on the shoulder.
“You had me worried there for a second cyare.” He taunted in an unusually light voice. You twisted from the spot on the ground to look at him.
“Oh sureeee.” You laughed “I’ll need a rematch ori’vod.” He pulled you up from the mat so you stood pressed against him.
He playfully put you into a headlock ruffling your hair. “Of course you do. We’ll see how that goes” The cares seemed to slip off of his face, just for a moment surrounded by his brothers and padawan he cared about a lot more than he wished to admit.
The spectators gathered around now. The chatter was light and sweet. “I lost a few credits to Jeese here but I thought you had it.” Ahsoka came beside you while still in the grasp of Wolffe.
“Glad to see who’s Jeese’s loyal too.” You joked flashing a smile at the trooper.
“Had to make the credits somehow.” He defended “I wouldn’t mind loosing a few credit to Soka here if it means you beating Wolffe.”
Wolffe let a deep laugh from beside you. “You both can keep dreaming.”
You rolled your eyes once again looking up at Wolffe, the once in a lifetime smile decorated his face. Maybe getting beaten into the floor wasn’t so bad if it made you vod look like that.
“Remind me to show you a few tricks tomorrow at training.” Wolffe said to you. “Maybe next time you’ll actually have a shot.”
You laughed squishing in closer to his side. Maybe next time you would.

AU in which almost all Jedi do political marriages to stop any conflict:
Obi Wan got married a few times. Satine was married to him for a few months but they got the marriage annulled because Mandalorians didn't like their Duchess being married to a Jedi. His other spouses include a ruler of a slave trade planet to put a stop to that, a few ambassadors from Separatist worlds in an effort to pull them towards the republic and Bail Organa.
Anakin almost burned the Temple down when the Council tasked Obi Wan to marry a slave trader King. Also he was in chronic fits of jealousy during the two years that Obi Wan and Bail Organa were married because he could easily tell that Obi Wan actually liked being married to Bail.
Master Mundi still has 4 wives.
Plo Koon is married to one of the Creche Masters because, well, no one knows. They just cuddle the younglings together and they are sooo happy about it.
Jocasta Nu was married to Count Dooku. They got divorced when he left the Order.
This whole thing is why Qui Gon Jinn was trying to charm Shmi. He could just marry her if he couldn't win Anakin in gambling. :'D
Anakin was never married to anyone. The Council doesn't trust him to stay still.
Mace Windu was somehow married to a Hutt when he was a Padawan only for a few short weeks and only to get intel out of the Hutt Clan. He is still traumatized about it but at least he speaks Hutteese. Anakin will never know from where Master Windu learned the word sleemo. Also, Cham Syndulla in Ryloth almost became his new spouse but they resolved the matter so it was never brought up again. His current wife is a young woman who is Count Dooku's great-niece or smt. and who got help from the Temple in her youth because of her force sensitivity. She is influential in the Separatist Worlds. She adopted a baby clone that was going to be destroyed somehow. She is a kind and calm woman who helps to settle Mace down when he sees a shatter point in the Force.
Obi Wan was lowkey into marrying Jango Fett after Kamino.
Something happened in Naboo so Padmé strategically planned to get into a short political marriage with a Jedi. The Council tasked Obi Wan. Anakin almost turned to the dark side but he was too busy trying to decide who he was jealous about between the two. Thankfully, that marriage didn't happen.
Palpatine asked for Anakin to be married to himself while he was grooming him for the Dark Side. He told Anakin that he would never be a slave again if he was with the Chancellor and the Council Masters didn't want to allow this because none of their spouses were as strong and important.
Ashoka dutifully accepted a marriage with a Separatist Lord. Anakin and Rex kidnapped her from her own wedding while Obi Wan and Padmé found her a way out.
Basically it goes like this: Conflict? Let's check the list of available Jedi.

Calendars
Summary: The war was taking a toll on the Republic’s finances, between the amount necessary to cover the war efforts to sending relief supplies to planets affected by battles, it was safe to say credits were running low. In order to get more funds, the line of command of the GAR decided to take matters into their own hands: issuing GAR-themed merch. The most famous item was the ‘Trooper Wall-Calendars’. Which you and Ashoka expertly managed to get your hands on.
Pairing: Ahsoka Tano x Reader
Word count: 1,5k
Warnings: none
Notes: I had sooooo much fun writing this, you have no idea! Honestly I don’t really know where this idea came from but now I would love to see firefighter-style calendars of the TCW characters (specially the Clones)! Both the reader and Ahsoka are teens in this, I wrote this to be set somewhere between seasons 1 e 2 of TCW. The relationship between them is heavily based on the relationship between Ellie and Riley from The Last of Us (I had specifically the HBO show in mind in this case).
I really hope you, dear reader, enjoy this and have fun while reading it. If you spot any mistakes, please feel free to warn me and I'll correct it right away, and feedback is always welcome and appreciated. I hope you truly enjoy this story.
Reader is female, but no physical descriptions provided
Masterlist | Read on AO3

Ahsoka ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She had to get back to your quarters in the temple. It was imperative that she told you about her amazing discovery. The 501st had only just landed on Coruscant when she heard the news and set off to find you immediately.
After bumping into several other padawans and almost toppling over Master Yoda (“Run in the halls, you must not, young Ahsoka.” he had chastised, but there was no heat to his words, and from the knowing smirk he sent her way, she knew that he knew she was up to something), she finally reached your door. Raising her fist to knock, she almost tumbled forward as you opened the door before she could even touch the durasteel, like you could sense her presence. You were sporting a wide grin, making her chest feel funny. But she could not dwell on it right now, she desperately needed to tell you something.
“You’ll… never believe… what I just… found out.” she panted, trying to regain her breath.
Your smile only grew wider as you pulled her inside your quarters and closed the door behind the two of you. Walking towards the bedside table you grabbed a pile of papers.
“Does it have anything to do with these?” you smirked, mischief gleaming in your eyes as you threw the pile on top of the bed between the two of you.
Ahsoka gasped, reaching down to grab the first item of the pile: a gray-cover wall calendar.
“No way!” she giggled, her smirk matching yours as she opened the first page
The war was taking a toll on the Republic’s finances, between the amount necessary to cover the war efforts to sending relief supplies to planets affected by battles, it was safe to say credits were running low. Not wanting to rely on the Senate to approve a bill that could take several rotations to pass (if it even got to that point, as many senators were not exactly friendly to the clone cause and probably thought the Republic could save up by cutting their already meager rights), the line of command of the GAR decided to take matters into their own hands: issuing GAR-themed merch. Most of the items were just cheap products such as T-shirts, plastoid mugs and fabric handbags. But the most famous item, one that had sold faster than water on a planet like Tatooine since its release a couple of days ago, was the ‘Trooper Wall-Calendars’. One of which currently laid on Ashoka’s eager hands.
“How did you get a hold of these?!” she quickly scanned the pages “I thought they were practically sold out?”
You chuckled, pulling her attention to you.
“Was at Dex’s grabbing lunch with Caleb when the first announcement came through. The two of us practically flew to the nearest convenience store.”
Ahsoka stared at you in awe. She went through the pile of calendars, her smile growing more and more mirthful.
“104th, 327th, 21st Nova Corps, the Coruscant Guard, Republic Commandos… this is amazing!” she giggled, but her smile soon turned into a frown as she realized something was missing “But what about-?”
A flash of blue and orange was shoved on her face before she could even finish her sentence.
“Had to hit three different stores for these two. We almost got mugged making our way through Uscru District. So you’re welcome.”
Giddy chuckles escaped her as Ahsoka grabbed the blue calendar and practically ripped it open.
“Oh my maker!” she exclaimed, turning the open calendar to you “Rex?!”
Representing the very first standard month was Rex, stripped down to only his bottom blacks and the lower part of his armor, staring seductively at the holocamera with his helmet under his arm, propped on his hip.
You laughed, almost choking on air as she passed you the calendar.
“No way, this is too good!” you laughed harder
“Wait, you haven’t seen this before?”
You shook your head, peaking at the next page.
“I was saving it so we could look at it together.” you turned to her and beamed, bringing back the funny feeling in her chest “You know, have one of our famous girls night.”
Ignoring the way her heart rate seemed to have increased only slightly, she grabbed your arm and plopped stomach down on your bed, pulling you down with her. She practically ripped the calendar back from your hands and you had to settle for looking over her shoulder.
“So this is what they were up to while Skyguy had me doing inventory for the medbay.” she laughed, exasperated.
“Really? Master Kit had me meditate all day in the swimming tank to learn how to hold my breath for longer.” you explained as you glanced at the pages “Something about keeping up with him if we ever had a mission in Mon Cala? I found it odd at the time but now…”
The two of you giggled as Ahsoka flipped page after page of some of the soldiers in the 501st, Jesse, Hardcase, Kix, Fives. Most of them were showing their nude torsos to some degree, some with the bottom of their blacks pulled between their teeth, the most daring ones completely shirtless.
“People actually pay for this?! To see a bunch of men, who have the same exact face, might I add, naked?” she pretended to gag.
“Well these sold out so fast, it has to mean something.” you shrugged before pointing at the current page “But let’s be honest Echo does look kinda cute in this.”
Ahsoka felt her stomach drop in a strange kind of disappointment as you pointed to a picture of Echo, his hand extended towards the camera and a soft smile on his lips. The top part of his blacks was off, a blue handprint stamping one of his pecs, much like the one on his armor. She gulped nervously, but any uncomfortable feelings quickly vanished at the sight of your teasing smirk.
“No better than Jesse does.” she chuckled, flipping back a few pages and gasping “Is that a happy trail?”
You stared at her for a moment before you both burst out laughing hysterically. She clutched her side while you draped yourself over her back, your entire body shaking with the intensity of your laughter. As your laughter died down, she couldn’t help but stare at you, a huge, beaming smile on her lips. Her giggles soon subsided in a breathy sigh, she couldn’t help as her eyes moved downwards, glancing fleetingly at your lips.
“Sooooo, which one’s gonna be next?” your voice snapped her out of her reverie.
“Well, we’re not even finished with this one, yet.” she quickly flipped back to where “We haven’t seen who represents the holiday week-” she didn’t even finish her sentence before dropping the calendar like it burned “Ew!”
“Ahsoka, what happened?!” you gently touched her shoulder as she brought her hands up to her face.
“My eyes!” she shouted “This will forever be burned into my mind!”
“What is?” you scooted forward to pick up the discarded calendar from the floor, immediately bursting into uncontrollable laughter as you glanced at the page “Seriously?! They got Master Skywalker in on it too?!”
The page which caused such a ruckus included a picture of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker in all his glory, striking a pose with his lightsaber ignited. He was severely overdressed in comparison to his troopers featured on the other pages, but was still showing a bit more skin than usual, with his undershirt gone and his vest allowing a glimpse of his bare chest.
“Oh, maker… why would they do that?” your laughter was infectious, and soon she was giggling with you.
You picked up the orange issued calendar and opened on the last page, chuckling as you turned the page to face her. The general of the 212th stood, the front of his beige Jedi robes open and showing his skin, much like his former apprentice.
“You tell me.” you laughed “I think Master Kenobi looks great.”
You both laughed, finding it amusing that the Jedi generals were featured in with their respective battalions. They were dressed more conservatively than their trooper counterparts, but it was still quite seductive. Swapping calendars back and forth you laughed amongst yourselves, pointing out different soldiers and their generals.
“Wow,” you gasped, making Ahsoka turn back towards you “Master Luminara looks good!”
Ahsoka felt a small, glimmering flicker of hope burn on her chest, but decided to keep it secluded in her heart to unpack later.
After several hours you had made your way through several calendars, laughing and grinning at each other. Ahsoka smiled, laying her head on your shoulder.
“Thank you.”
You hummed.
“What for?”
She lifted her head to look at you and found you already staring at her.
“For giving me this.”
“What?” you shook your head, chuckling “Troopers in sexy poses?”
She laughed. She was trying to be serious and you were joking around.
“A sense of normalcy.” she shrugged “This war… we never have a chance to just be normal dumb teens, you know? And now-”
When you sensed words were failing her you laid a hand on her shoulder.
“I know.” you smiled at her, and Ahsoka felt her chest fluttering again;
“Just… thank you. For everything.”
You slung an arm over her shoulders.
“That’s what I’m here for.”
As she snuggled into your embrace she felt, if only for a moment, that everything was going to be okay.

Okay but like imagine the chaoticness of Din (post season 1 of The Book of Boba Fett) accidentally time traveling back to right before the beginning of the original trilogy. One minute he was in his present time on Tatooine, and the next some force bantha shit happened and suddenly he’s falling out the sky and landing on the ground in the past right in front of the Lars farm. Din sits up groaning in pain and just comes face to face with a slightly younger Luke Skywalker and is hella confused.
Eventually he realizes he’s time traveled and has no idea how to get back to his own time period! Luke manages to convince his aunt and uncle to let the Mando stay with them till he can figure out how to get home. Din has also taken one look at this younger version of the man who trained his son and decided he needed to protect him! When the movie events start Din sticks close to Luke. Ben just about has a stroke when he sees a Mandalorian following Luke around!
Din has no idea about any of the shit that’s going on around him cause the man doesn’t know his history, like at all. He’s just rolling with the punches and doing his best to keep Luke from getting killed! They eventually meet Han and Din just does not like the man at first. He’s convinced Han is flirting with Luke (he’s not exactly wrong on this assumption) and he just doesn’t like it (Din might be low key jealous). Din does his best to keep himself between Luke and Han at all times!
They go through all the events of the original trilogy. With Din and Luke slowly falling for each other throughout the movies! Vader also has a stroke when he realizes his son is in love with a Mandalorian! And that the Mandalorian is in love with his son as well! He just knows this is somehow Obi-Wan’s fault!!! Somehow his son has inherited Obi-Wan’s Mando-bait-ness!
They get through the original trilogy events and eventually get to the point of when Luke was supposed to go and find Din and Grogu and take Grogu on as a student! Time traveler!Din has to go into hiding for a bit so that his son (and past him) won’t see him least he fuck up the timeline. That’s why Ashoka wouldn’t let current timeline!Din go near Grogu and Luke. She was trying to preserve the timeline, as time traveler!Din had told her how it had happened for him! Honestly Ashoka is just so done with this time travel nonsense! After the current times!Din gets sent back in time (which it turns out that it was Luke and Ashoka using a force artifact all along) they now have to explain to Boba, Fenic, and Grogu what has happened! Boba also just about has a stroke when he realizes that Din is actually the Mandalorian that had been following Luke around during the events of the original trilogy. He hadn’t been sure, cause like the armor and mannerisms where the same, but when he’d met Din to get his armor back in season 2 of The Mandalorian, Din hadn’t seemed to recognize him so he thought they might have been two different people. But no it was just some time travel fuckery!

Tumblr media
(a/n: sooo here’s the shift in tone…. sorry it was late, my college had a game today and it was crazy lol… but this chapter is kinda intense soo…pls read notes at the end)
things take an unexpected turn, for the worse
warnings: cursing, depiction of injury, car accident
_______________________________________
After Fall break you returned to your dorms and the kids went back to school. Your wonderful vacation is over. But you and Aanakin were closer than ever. The weeks following the break were absolute bliss. You and Anakin were spending every moment you could together and the kids were just as happy you were sticking around. Sadly you still had classes, but you were finding that you spent more time at the Skywalkers than you did at your own dorm. Nothing wrong with that, you smiled to yourself.
Today was a cloudy day, the winter air sending a nice chill through the air. The twins asked you to do a puzzle with them, which you gladly agreed to. Currently you were sorting corner pieces from the pile when you got a text.
“Anakin: I should be home a bit earlier today, maybe we can watch that movie you were talking about :)”
One of your professors assigned a movie for one of your classes and you absolutely did not want to watch it, but Anakin convinced you. If you watched the movie he would reward you… how could you say no?
You smiled at his message and responded happily. You continued to help the twins sort.
An hour went by and you were now helping them with homework. You were a little distracted though, Anakin said he’d be home earlier but it was already the normal time he’d come home. You began to worry just a bit so you sent him a text.
“Hey, are you ontw back?”
You set your phone back down and continued to help Luke with his spelling. Few minutes passed and your phone didn’t ring… that wasn’t like him. You tried to remain calm in front of the kids, but anxiety began to bubble inside you.
You excused yourself to go to the bathroom and took your phone. You tried calling but you got the recorded voicemail.
“Hey, you’ve reached Anakin Skywalker, Please leave your number and your concerns, Thank you”.
You tried again.
“Hey, you’ve reached Anakin Skywalker, Please leave your number and your concerns, Thank you”.
And again…
“Hey, you’ve reached Anakin Skywalker, Please leave your number and your concerns, Thank you”.
You began to panic, he was probably just in a meeting? Or got held up at work? You wanted to believe that, but something deep within knew something was wrong.
You shakily dialed Ben and prayed for him to pick up.
Ring, Ring, Rin-
“F/N-”
“Where is he? Is he ok?” you interjected hastily.
You heard his wavering voice at the other end of the phone, “F/N, I need you to calm down”.
“Damnit Ben! Where is he?!” you demanded, eyes wide with fear.
The line was silent for a moment before Ben sighed, “There was an accident”.
No.
“It was bad. ”
God, no.
“...where is he?” you whispered, tears daring to spill.
“He was rushed into surgery, he-”
“Is he-” your tears were falling now.
“No,” Ben said shortly.
“Will he?”
“...They don’t know” Ben stated solemnly.
You felt your heart drop, “what hospital?”.
“I don’t think you should bring the kids-”
“What hospital?”
He sighed and told you. You nodded.
“I’ll drop them at Ashoka’s” you said as you were already leaving the bathroom. “Ok” is all he said before you hung up.
You went back into the kitchen and asked them to gather up their stuff.
“Are you ok?” Leia asked, worriedly.
“Are you crying?” Luke added.
You wiped at your eyes and told them it was allergies. Miraculously they believed you, it was starting to get pollony outside. You packed them into your car and told them Auntie Ash wanted to hang out with them today.
You made sure to tell Ashoka there was an emergency and you needed to leave the kids with her. She agreed immediately, Ben had updated her after you called. Once you arrived at her house she enthusiastically greeted the kids and told them to go inside.
She walked to you and gave you a hug, “It’s gonna be ok, he’s a fighter”. Her tone was less confident than normal, but you nodded anyway. You told her you would give her updates then you sped off to the hospital.
________________________________________
You busted through the hospital doors to find Ben already sitting in the waiting room. He turned to see you and stood to meet you. You fell into his arms, no longer able to hold back your sobs. Ben held you tightly brushing your hair, trying to keep himself together.
Once you steadied your breathing you asked what happened.
“I’m not quite sure, I was Anakin’s emergency contact. They just called and said he was involved in an automobile accident and that he was in critical condition.”
You choked back another sob.
You and Ben sat back down in silence, waiting for the doctor’s to update you. You don't know how much time passed when a doctor finally came out.
“Skywalker?” he asked, and Ben jumped up hastily.
“Is he-Is he alright?” you dared to ask.
The doctor sighed, “He is stable, but he sustained severe injuries. He will most likely not be able to continue the life he was living before.”
What the fuck was that supposed to mean?
“What?” you asked.
“Mr. Skywalker’s legs were crushed on impact… there was nothing we could do.”
You felt yourself falter, luckily Ben was behind you and helped steady you.
“And…” the doctor began.
“And what?” asked Ben, nervously.
“His forearms were also unsalvageable… he suffered a punctured lung as well”
You felt like you were about to pass out. The doctor led you to a seat as he finished going over the other novelties with Ben.
You couldn’t believe what you were hearing, he was just coming home. He texted you a few hours ago. He was-
“Mam?”
You looked up to the doctor with teary eyes, “yes?”.
“He is currently in a high observation ICU, if you would like to go. He’s currently in a medically induced coma, but you can at least see him.” the doctor offered.
You looked at Ben whose face was deep in thought. You swallowed and nodded, “Ok, -I want to see him…”
The doctor gave a curt nod and led you down the drab hospital hallways. Finally you reached the ward Anakin was in, the divider was just glass, you began to cry once more when you laid eyes on him.
He was lying on the bed with tubes and wires sticking out of him from every direction. A thin hospital blanket was pulled up over his chest, but there was an obvious drop below his knees. His arms were laid on top of the cover, they were bandaged and missing forearms.
Anakin.
His expression looked pained, even from far away, an expansive oxygen mask covered the bottom half of his face. You could feel your heart breaking. He didn’t deserve this…
______________________________________
You spent the greater portion of the next week by his side. Eventually they were able to move him out of the ICU to a more private area. He was still in the coma, but they started the process of having him wake naturally.
You notified your university that you wouldn’t be able to attend classes because of a “family” emergency. But really it was, wasn't it? Luke, Leia,...Anakin, they were like your family now, and you needed to be there for them.
The kids didn’t really understand at first, they didn’t know why their dad wouldn’t be able to do some of the things he used to. They didn’t understand why they weren't allowed to see him either.
But Ben and Ashoka helped keep them from him. Anakin wouldn’t have wanted them to be exposed to such a traumatic sight. How would you even begin to explain what happened?
Instead Ben and Ashoka traded keeping them at night, since you were always with Anakin. You stayed by his side during the day and at night you slept on the small couch by his bedside.
The noises of the machines keeping him alive became your lullabies, the smell of antiseptic became normal, the shock of Anakin’s new form wore off.
When you looked upon his body, you didn’t feel pity for the broken man, you just felt worry for Anakin, the man you loved. The time you spent with him during that week really gave you time to think… you loved him. You loved him before, you loved him now, you’d love him when he woke.
You glanced over at his unconscious body and watched the machines pump air in and out of his lungs at a steady pace. His bruised chest rose and fell methodically with every breath.
You pleaded with the higher powers he would be ok.

Among The Stars Pt. 1/2
A/n: cause I love Anakin too much, we’re gonna say that Qui-Gon lived and was his mentor to free up Obi Wan (Also cause Qui-Gon deserved better)
Tumblr media
Obi Wan was excited, he had worked his way through the trials and spent years looking into mentoring a padawan. He took this very seriously, he spent months looking for one that he knew he could serve the best.
That’s when he found you. Your force energy radiated through the entire space you were in. Currently, you were levitating a ball for the young kings who just arrived, trying to entertain them.
“Ahem.” He cleared his throat.
You turned around, eyes widened, you let the ball fall gently into the young lungs hands, “Master Kenobi.” You stood up and faced him.
He asked for your name and once you gave it, he asked for you to walk with him. He asked you a lot of questions about yourself. Did you remember your home planet? Were you ready to be trained fully? Why did you want to become a Jedi?
Obi wan was slightly impressed by the wisdom in your answers. He saw a lot of himself in you.
“Well, I am looking for a padawan. Would you be interested?”
You thought for a moment, “Do I get to wear the braid?”
“Yes.”
“I’ll do it.”
Obi wan was exceptionally proud to bring you one just as Anakin was due for his very own padawan.
You were cautious as you were talking with master Yoda about it. It was a high stress situation as Yoda and you went to get the padawan ready to deliver a message to the disconnected troops.
“Are you sure it’s a good time?”
“Time it is. Anakin needs responsibility, yes?”
“Yes, of course but Anakin? Really? He’ll scar them for life.”
“Why do you say this?”
You laughed, “I wouldn’t trust Anakin with another person. But then again, it isn’t my decision.”
Then the heavy door opened, getting your attention instantly. In walked a girl, your eyes met and you smiled. This must be the new padawan for Anakin.
You and Ashoka found yourselves spending a lot of time together, which caught the attention of Obi Wan and Anakin.
“It isn’t the Jedi way.” Obi Wan said.
“Look, doesn’t it make more sense that they’ll fight that much harder if there’s a risk they’ll loose one another?”
“It isn’t all about fighting, Anakin.” Obi Wan dropped his head into his hands.
“I know you’re worried about him, I’m worried about her too but they’ll keep each other safe.”
Neither of you heard this and if either of you did, it would be an argument. But you two were outside, laying in one of the few gardens, enjoying the sun.
“So, what color is yours?”
You two talked about so many other things that you had almost forgotten about being Jedi.
“Blue, like Master Kenobi’s. His is darker though.”
“Wonder why?”
“I don’t know, maybe age.” You shrugged.
Ahsoka looked at you, a mischievous smile coming to her face, “you want to go do something fun?”
“Like?”
“Spar.”

I am not really looking forwards to the Ashoka Tano series for a few reasons.
First I don’t like the character that much. But it seems like I’m really supposed to. On the surface, I feel like I should like a woman Jedi badass. But I don’t and considering how often she pops up in other characters’ story arcs and that each time she supersedes the other characters rather than taking a back seat, it feels like Rose Tyler from Doctor Who all over again. The “I’m a Jedi, but only when it’s convenient” is very frustrating. I feel like if you have a Light Side Force adept who isn’t a Jedi, you should really lean into it because it sounds like an interesting development for character and worldbuilding.
Second, I haven’t been able to get through Clone Wars partially because the Tartovsky series exists and I have it in its original narrative format, but also because who in their right mind would ever give Anakin Skywalker, walking disaster a padawan? For me, it is beyond my suspension of disbelief. I can’t do it. It doesn’t help that people tell me that the first 3ish seasons are rough going. That is emphatically not encouraging. Rebels season 1 was rough going too but at least it was funny and at least one of those idiots (usually Hera) had a working brain cell at any given time.
Third, it kind of looks like they are going in an Heir to the Empire direction. Which is okay I suppose, but feels like overly eager fanboys who never bothered with any Thrawn novels after the first three, if they even read past the first one. Later there’s an imposterThrawn storyline that seems like it would make a hell of a lot more sense in the current canon (such as it is). But it also seems like we are approaching a major point of no return divergence between bookThrawn and tvThrawn. Timothy Zahn has done a really awesome job of reconciling the two as much as possible, but I don’t think that Filoni is up to continuing it at all. Zahn made a very clear and fundamental difference between Empire/Republic space and the Unknown Regions and how they see their Force sensitives which I find very interesting and great, but given how Ashoka is usually written will probably get overlooked or hijacked to grow her journey to being something or other. Does she have any personal goals at all? To be fair, this seems like a generic Jedi character issue, but I don’t see it getting addressed on screen in any meaningful way.
Fourth, Ezra deciding that he had to stay to help someone (or several very young someones) in the Unknown Regions makes way more sense for his character than hers. A large chunk of the Rebels storyline is him fighting to free his home from Imperial control. Ashoka doesn’t have that kind of connection to place or people and it would be fine for her character if it was left that way , but it very much looks like Ezra’s motives (and Sabine’s) are being hijacked and reassigned to Ashoka. Which is really frustrating if you want to have development for both characters that is different. She needs to do her own work and not crib off someone else’s.
All that being said, if I end up hearing that Ar’Alani shows up and kicks all of the ass (as she fucking should), I will probably give the Ashoka series a shot. There will probably be another delighted squeefest of “it’s Chissmas!!” on social media if such a thing happens. I am totally here for that.

Book recommendations: can't wait for the next book
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A while back I did a post with complete series. This time I figured I'd do a post with a couple of series that have another book coming in 2023 instead. Or, well, presumably 2023, since for some of them I'm not 100% sure about when the next book is coming out, but if I do know I'll list it. I also considered putting Legendborn in here, but I don't own Legendborn, my sister does and at the time of taking this picture I didn't have access to her books, that series would fit this category too. Let me know if there are any other sequels you're waiting for! This certainly isn't all of mine, but I picked a couple of books that I hadn't covered yet (and one I am repeating, but bear with me)
First up is the Ivory Key by Akshaya Raman. The Ivory Key is the first book in a duology and is set in a world inspired by India. This country depends on magic to protect itself from foreign invaders, but they keep magic in a vault underneath the palace and it is running out. Vira is the Queen of Ashoka and is desperate for solution. She discovers that there are more vaults with magic, locked by the ivory key that she'll have to find. Desperate, she asks her siblings for help. They agree, but each have their own motivation for wanting to find the key. While Vira wants to save her country, Ronak wants to sell the key to the highest bidder to escape a political marriage and their younger sister Riya wants to give the key to the rebels to prove her loyalty to them. Their oldest half brother Kaleb was falsely imprisoned for murdering the former queen, and needs it to prove his innocence. The book has a quest to find this key and four siblings who are all working together but also against each other for their own goals and splits its POVs between the four siblings.
The book shown on the picture is the UK edition and the US edition has a different cover. Book 2, the Crimson Fortress, comes out 1 August 2023.
Next I have the Hollow Star Saga by Ashley Shuttleworth. There are currently two books out in this series which are a Dark and Hollow Star and a Cruel and Fated Light.
This series is set in modern day Toronto and features a world with fae courts that hide themselves from humans. It follows four main characters who end up tangled up in te same mystery.
Arlo is an ironborn, a half fae whose mother is a princess in the most important royal family of fae, but because she's half human she is an outcast in her family.
Nausicaa is an ex fury who was cast out of the immortals for killing a bunch of people, known as the dark star.
Vehan is the prince of the Seelie Summer Court, which is a different royal family than Arlo's from. He is dutiful, but naive and has no idea that his mother is evil.
Aurelian is Vehan's best friend and body guard, whose relationship with Vehan is strained because of a secret he has to keep.
The first book follows these characters as they investigate a series of ironborn murders no one else seems to care about. Vehan especially is passionate about finding the culprit, whereas Nausicaa is only really helping out because people are “—runnin’ around accusing perfectly innocent assholes of assholery they’ve been actively trying to avoid.” as said by Nausicaa in the book. Seriously, she's hilarious. Things get a lot more intense in book two, which I won't give too much away about. Book 2 also adds Celadon to the main cast (he was already important in book 1 but gets a POV in book 2)
All the major characters in this book are queer, with Arlo being questioning, Nausicaa's a lesbian, Vehan's bisexual and Aurelian's gay.
The next book is a Grim and Sunken Vow and is scheduled for fall 2023, but the exact date is as of yet unknown. After that there will be one more book.
I know I've already talked about the Sunbearer Trials but this book is so great it bears repeating.
I already summarized the story, a group of semidioses doing a competition where the loser dies, so I figured I'd talk a little more abot my favorite character Aurelio. Aurelio is the son of Lumbre, diosa of fire, and has a twin sister Auristela. Most people don't really like Auristela since she is not very nice and needs to be the best at everything, but Aurelio is really close with his sister. As a child he was really shy and awkward and he ended up befriending Teo but at some point he kind of stopped talking to Teo so now they're awkward ex friends. Aurelio is very dutiful and literal and sometimes I feel like he might be autistic. He is also Teo's love interest though that is something that develops slowly.
If you haven't read this book yet, I'd seriously recommend it. Book 2, which should be the last one, is as of yet untitled and has no release date. It currently says 2023 but I can't guarantee it'll be published that year. I sure hope so though, with how the last one ended.
A Blade so Black is a little older than the other books here, but for some reason it took a while for the third book to come out, I'm not completely sure what happened here. There are currently two books out, a Blade so Black and a Dream so Dark. I have the UK editions but I'm honestly not sure if there will be a UK edition of book 3 since there was so much time between the last release and this one, so if you're very passionate about having a matching set I'd recommend getting the US hardcovers as the third book will release in that edition.
This trilogy is a retelling of Alice in Wonderland in which Alice is a modern day bi Black girl living in Atlanta, juggling her strict and protective mother and a high maintenance best friend with her secret job of killing nightmares, which are monsters born from wonderland that slip into our world. When her mentor Hatta (who I'm pretty sure is supposed to be the Mad Hatter) gets poisoned, Alice has to go deeper into wonderland than she's ever been to find a cure. In the olden days, a lot of YA contemporary fantasy books were very vague about the role of parents. Lots of parents who had no clue what there kids were up to also didn't really pay attention and just let them do whatever? To be fair, that could have been my parents. But for a lot of people and that was not very realistic. Alice' mom is very protective, and for good reason, but does not know what's going on in Alice' life and Alice regularly has to make excuses for her absences or have her best friend Courtney cover for her and the books balance the adventures in Wonderland quite well with Alice having to keep up her normal teenage life.
The third book, a Crown so Cursed will 11 April 2023
Last but not least is the Gilded Ones trilogy, with currently two books out, the Gilded Ones and the Merciless Ones.
Deka lives in a small village in a very misogynistic world where at her sixteenth birthday, she will be checked for the color of her blood to see if she is pure or not. When her blood runs gold, she knows she will be killed. Only Deka doesn't die. In fact, the villagers kill her many different ways and every time Deka wakes up, until a woman travels to her village and offers her the choice to come with her and fight in an army of alaki, girls like her who are near immortal.
But nothing is quite as it seems, not even what Deka believes is the greatest threat to her country.
This book is an interesting fantasy that focused primarily on misogynie from the POV of a Black woman (although racism as we know it isn't really a thing in this world). In the second book, there is also some exploration of rad fem/terf ideology and how simply hating and turning against all men/amab people is not a good way of dealing with oppression, and one of the older alaki is revealed to be a trans woman.

Star Wars but Shmi was a Mandalorian, put into slavery later than in canon (? Idk if there is a canon age where she was became a slave, but I keep seeing that it was when she was 6? Correct me if I’m wrong) and she’s gotten time to have her armor and such. So she then teaches Anakin all this Mando stuff, which could affect his training - it probably would affect his training - but the fun part is when the war starts. And then the war starts, and he’s like “Okay well surely this is a valid reason to get armor finally” so boom armor! I think he at first just paints it kinda like how his mom described her armor, but that as he gets closer and closer to the 501st he starts incorporating his own colors and their colors. Also he was so excited when he heard they knew Mando’a, because Obi-wan is great and all, but man was it boring just having one person to speak Mando’a with.
He also definitely had a lecture with Ashoka about what she was wearing, because omg has anyone heard of battle appropriate clothes? Or maybe, idk, armor??? She absolutely complains, until she gets her first piece of armor
AHHH I AM ALWAYS DOWN FOR MANDO ANAKIN PLEASE (in all honesty I think the supercommando codex would be a good code for him to follow, gives him structure and direction and with the right mentor it would overall I think be very positive for him - granted he isnt under palps thumb).
ANYWAY Mando Shmi is a very interesting concept *eyes*, though I'm ngl, surprised there's no bitterness from Anakin that none of the Mandalorians came to rescue Shmi considering she was a lost child from their clan? Like I don't think Shmi would hold bitterness but idk, I think Anakin might at some point.
I also think the Jedi would probably let Anakin wear armor if he wanted to even before the clones come around but dfijgsifj love him getting excited to don armor and to possibly/probably be matching with his men! Honestly I think the clones would also be very excited at least one of their Jedi is all in on wearing armor whenever he can. There's also something sweet about say, Anakin trying to remember how his mother described their clan's/house's sigil, so he can paint it onto his armor opposite the Jedi Order symbol. All in 501st blue, a representation of all of his families!
If Anakin has Mando heritage (and is like, chill with it), it's probably the most sure fire way for Obi-Wan to get him to pay attention to his politics lectures too. Anakin would be the type to fixate on something like that, so they'd probably have so many conversations about Mandalorian history, the language, the current culture and political arena, what it means to reconcile both his Mandalorian and Jedi heritage as historical enemies. It's definitely a very fun lens to position an au around!!

1a. Max's extended backstory used to be very, very different. Why some people dislike team RWBY and how it can change (Comparative Analysis)
I think it would be no secret to say that over time, more and more people have become disillusioned with the protagonists of this show. Mainly team RWBY. The reasons for disliking team RWBY overall differ from person to person but usually share certain similarities, especially when talking about team RWBY as a whole. And the feelings concerning these characters run the entire range from liking them to outright despising them, although most people fall into more moderate positions and are more or less neutral on the main characters.
Despite what some might believe, team RWBY are definitely not unique characters in that regard, either in how they are written currently, neither in their age range, nor the reasons as to why they are disliked, as an enjoyer of a lot of types of media is slowly started noticing that the reasons given for disliking team RWBY seem to map on very well on two other characters with simmilar character development, those characters being Ashoka Tano from the Clone Wars series and Alphinaud Leveilleur from the game FF14.
As such i would like to try my hand at a comparative analysis by comparing the dislike of these characters, reasons for it and how eventually that all changed or might be able to change.
(Spoilers for the Clone Wars series and FF14 ahead, be aware)
The Origin
At first, i think i should begin by talking about these characters more, their actions, and why they are/were disliked in their respective fanbases.
Alphinaud Leveilleur - This is a character that the player meets relatively early in FF14. While his twin sister goes her own way, Alphinau joins the faction of heroes that the player belongs to. Despite his willingness to help others and be the hero, one can quickly notice Alphinauds character flaws. Alphinaud very much considers himself to be a hero of the realm, someone who is meant to unite everyone and fight against anyone who would want to harm them, this is mainly informed by him being a descendant of his grandfather who saved the realm before.
While this leads to Alphinaud being compassionate and willing to help others, it also leads to unearned self-assuredness , reckless arrogance and even ignorance at times. He also comes off very condescending at times, even if unintentionally.
Despite his arrogance, most of his actions at the time did not come with negative consequences and for the most part resulted in only positives, which is what also increased the playerbases dislike of him. Arrogance is already a grating trait, but for it to be repaid so often can also lead to dislike.
(It has to also be mentioned that at this time he is 16 years of age)
Ashoka Tano - She is a character that was first introduced in the Clone Wars animated movies as a padawan to Anakin Skywalker. The watchers could follow the many adventures that Ashoka had together with Anakin in the various Episodes of the Clone Wars series. She was a dislike character since her earliest appearances, she was disrespectful to established characters that people have grown to love, she was disrespectful to even experienced soldiers of rank like Captain Rex despite just joining the war effort. She often argued with Anakin and Obi-Wan, questioned or even disobeyed direct orders.
Despite her overall behaviour she was still kind-hearted, compassionate, heroic, besides being a great fighter in her own right. Her talent in fighting however also leads to arrogance in her own skills.
What is worse is that many of her actions ended up either rewarding her for being reckless and arrogant when they succeeded or resulted in absolutely no consequences if she failed. This further cemented the dislike of her character and especially due to her age many people were reminded of the nonsense that Anakin pulled as a kid in the Phantom Menace. A negative association to be sure.
(At the start of the Clone Wars, Ashoka is 14 years old)
Yang Xiao Long, Ruby Rose, Blake Belladona, Weiss Schnee - I do not think i need to describe these characters, we are in the RWBY subreddit after all. What i will cover is why people dislike these characters as a whole, as a team.
Team RWBY are perceived to be arrogant and self-righteous by some. Their actions in Volume 5 with Blake putting the responsibility of the White Fangs actions on all faunus, Their actions in V6 with stealing the airship for what is seen to be personal comfort, and especially their actions in V7-8 with lying to and going behind the back of Ironwood.
They consider themselves and their positions to be immutably right and because of that they are perceived to take actions that are not necessarily right, only right to them. For example, lying to Ironwood after taking issue with being lied to by Ozpin. And then later on directly opposing Ironwood in Volume 7, going so far as to be perceived by some to hold Atlas hostage unless their demands are met.
There is also a very much grating quality and that is the lack of consequences for things caused by their own actions. Or at least, consequences that are relevant to them. Qrow gets injured in V4 because of Ruby interfering in a fight that she was told not to interfere in. The theft of the airship in V6 despite resulting in their arrest and a summoning of a large monster does not have any personal ramifications, in fact the show tries to portray them as justified even admonishing Qrow while doing so.
At the same time. They are kind, they are compassionate, heroic. We are talking about characters that are heroes, they want to make the world a better place. But they still have many perceived qualities that are extremely dislikeable to some
(I want to note that what i am describing here is not a factional recreation of the events of the show, but rather the PERCEPTION that some people had which would be different from others)
Commonalities - I think many people can already notice a lot of similarities. Arrogance, lack of consequences, self-righteousness and disobedience of senior figures, all of these qualities resulted in combinations that made these characters not very well liked, of course, do take note that this is not universal, there are people who liked those characters too.
The Flashpoint
With the characters i mentioned before being quite disliked eventually their flaws culminated in some massive event that exposed those flaws for everyone to see, and this time, with actual consequences or potential consequences that would come out of that.
Alphinaud Leveilleur - After the many successes in helping the "Scions of the Seventh Dawn" group of heroes, including the main character, Alphinaud in his wisdom decides to form a guild of warriors called the "Crystal Braves", this would be a military organization beholden to no nation and meant to protect all of the nations from common enemies. A good idea in theory. IN THEORY.
The thing is that partially due to his arrogance and inexperience Alphinaud has no idea how to correctly manage such a group. The group was supposed to be financed by donations of citizens, this however was quickly abused by a political group in one of the nations, they became the major funders of this group. And in the end, this group was then used to betray the heroes including the player character, to frame an assasination of a head of state on the player character and then resulted in the entire hero group of the "Scions of the Seventh Dawn" to be lost.
Because the group was never loyal to Alphinaud or his ideals. It was loyal to the coin of the faction which funded them. And Alphinaud never saw this coming due to his character defects. It is a massive blow to him and in that single moment, Alphinaud loses EVERYTHING he was working to build.
Ashoka Tano - Ashokas flashpoint comes when she is finally given command of troops. She is given a squadron of pilots that she is supposed to lead in an attack on an enemy starship in support to 3 allied cruisers. It is quickly found out that the enemy has set a trap and Ashoka is ordered to retreat, instead of doing that she disobeys orders and continues the attack until she is finally forced to retreat. Due to her disobeying orders she loses the entire squadron, the admiral leading the attack is critically injured and one of the cruisers is lost with all hands on board. All due to her disobeying orders and thus forcing the rest of the attack group to wait for her to return.
It was one of the first times that her character defects led to such a large loss of life instead of just being an annoyance to the audience.
This is further compounded on in a separate fight, this time on a planets surface where she ignores the orders to retreat because she believes that the enemy is running away and that she is winning. While she survives the encounter and is evacuated, many of the soldiers she was with do not make it and she is forced to watch them die, once again to her disobeying orders orders.
This results in Ashoka eventually being assigned to the Jedi Temple as a punishment, since she craves action. This craving of hers is denied by the punishment.
Team RWBY - Team RWBY has their flashpoint, the major flashpoint in Atlas. Their actions lead to the ever building stress, distrust and the eventual falling out with one of their allies, General Ironwood. Their actions then play a part in the destruction of Atlas, as they refused the Generals plan to leave with Atlas and abandoning Mantle. Giving Salem and her forces the time to reach and attack Atlas, and those same actions resulted in the relic of creation ending up in the hands of Salem.
Their choice of evacuating people to Vacuo also is shown to result in the people evacuated being attacked by Grimm and transported into what can only be described as an inhospitable land with people that have no love for the other kingdoms, nor resources to sustain a large population.
While we do not see the effects of another event we also know that the Amity tower is launched succesfully enough for Ruby to reveal the existance to Salem to all kingdoms. Which was projected by Ironwood to cause panic and increased negative emotions to such a level that the kingdoms would suffer attacks that would need to be repelled. But Ruby does so without the ability to actually assist those kingdoms.
For now, team RWBY itself has no suffered any personal consequences YET.
(Also, since i know it is going to come up and people will attack me if i dont include this, i am not blaming team RWBY nor calling them villains in this case, what i am stating is what happened and that they had responsibility in these actions. Ironwood also had responsibility in this actions and the consequences of his actions were his own soldiers abandoning him and his eventual demise)
Commonalities - All of these characters experience massive events that have dire consequences, entirely or partially due to their actions. Let us all remember that all of these characters are still heroes, their intentions were good, and yet in the end the intention does not matter as much as what actually happens. These Flashpoint events are also very much informed by what are perceived to be the characters negative qualities and actions born out of those qualities.
The Rebuilding
The flashpoints do not happen for no reason. These are meant to be the lowest points of the characters so that the characters could undertake a journey of change for the better. To acknowledge their personal flaws and then attempt to eliminate them and grow as people.
Alphinaud Leveilleur - Alphinaud is devastated by the Flashpoint and loses his self-assuredness and arrogance quickly. He blames himself entirely for what happened and starts to be more of a follower rather than a leader. He becomes more attentive to listening to people more experienced than him.
Part of his arc, as funny as it is, is him learning how to forage for wood to make a campfire for the rest of the team of Adventurers. As a privileged trust fund kid he has never done that before. And this is very much symbolic of his growth. He is not all knowledgeable. His experience in real-life matters is very much non-existant and this is what partially led to his unintentional arrogance before.
Its like a rich kid going away from the serving staff at home and starting to learn how to cook for himself. What we have as a result is a character that is very liked by the FF14 fandom, his flaws are not entirely fixed, but where before his flaws were obvious and unbearable, afterwards his flaws became minor and almost endearing in a way, especially with his twin sister being quick to discipline him if he was acting stupid.
Ashoka Tano - Ashoka after being assigned to the Jedi temple eventually loses her lightsaber in a bad part of the city. To find it, she gets the help of an extremely patient and slowly acting Jedi. He is a complete opposite to her and drives her up the wall. She still has her character flaws of being too hard-headed and aggressive and fails to catch the thieves. Something that the jedi accompanying her manages to help her with.
At the end, it results in a valuable lesson and one of the main changes to her. During the adventure she learns the value of patience and even listening to her elders, to people that know more than her.
More importantly, she does not lose her character traits. She is still strong-willed, she is still willing to question authority and even orders. But she does so in better ways. The negative aspects of her character get filled down through many more episodes to create a diamond of a character that might be a fan favourite.
Team RWBY  - Team RWBY are yet to undergo change or a rebuilding of character. And i am of the opinion that Volume 9 can change it. At least currently it seems that Volume 9 is intended to be more retrospective and thoughtful, maybe even slower paced.
Simmilar to the 2 other characters i mentioned before, i believe that team RWBY need to have a moment of self-introspection. It is good to be heroic. But their reckless actions have been a problem for a long time now (At least to people who dislike them), even if the intentions of team RWBY are good, their actions bring with them consequences that are quite negative and could have been avoided.
The main hallmark of heroes is that they are not perfect, they have flaws, flaws that they eventually have to confront. Because if they fail to do so, at least in regards to RWBY, they turn into someone like Adam. Adam had many chances to confront his own flaws and obsessive behaviour, instead he blamed others, and where did that lead him? To losing everything, including his life. And for a villain, that makes sense.
But team RWBY are heroes, and their flaws should be acknowledged and then adressed. At least in the perception of me and many others.
Ending Word
Look, let me say this. I do not think that team RWBY are villains, not at all. And for many of their actions, i do not fault them at all, for example Ruby cutting Tyrians tail? My opinion is that she should have aimed for the head. At the same time, i think that while team RWBY are heroes, it should be acknowledge that their actions have consequences, good and bad, intentional and not.
While people might have different opinions and maybe even thing that team RWBY are not reckless or that it is even GOOD that they are reckless. There are others with opposing opinions to that and see the recklessness of team RWBY to be existant, and a negative thing for their characters.
I just wanted to cover this topic. This is intended to be both an expression on why some people do not hold team RWBY in high regard, and as a way to compare them to other characters that had the same problems as them, but eventually turned into fan-favourites or very well liked.
This is not the first time i am making a thread of this type, but i am still unused to this kind of format. Any kind of advice, critique or the like would be appreciated. Of course, disagreement or agreement with the points themselves is also welcome, or additional questions if anyone has them.

This mind blowing vacationer place, spread in 40 section of land of region, is the cemetery for Ruler Khusro-the oldest child of Sovereign Jahangir who opposed his own dad when he was just 19 years of age;
Shah Begum, Jahangir's first wife; Nesa Begum (Sister of Khusro); and Tamolon, a tomb of unknown origin. Even though Khusro Mirza was an emperor of the Mughal Empire, he never had it easy. He had endured worse times, which ended with his death alone. Tourists have always walked around and looked around this fascinating location.
Triveni Sangam Allahabad
Triveni Sangam is the location where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet, making it the most sacred spot in Allahabad.
This point of convergence is regarded as an auspicious junction because Hindus believe that taking a bath here will help them wash away their sins and free them from the cycle of rebirth.
The rivers are easy to distinguish because they maintain their original colors. During the religious festival known as Kumbh Mela, this location also sees a lot of people.
Anand Bhawan
Since the independence struggle, Allahabad has always had a political edge. The residence of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, can be found in the city's center.
The lovely two-story house has been kept exactly as it is. In addition, the house is the same as where Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Mahatma Gandhi once resided.
The house where Mahatma Gandhi lived has one small room. One of Allahabad's most popular tourist destinations is this white and blue house with a book-filled library.
Allahabad Museum
The Allahabad Museum is regarded as one of India's most well-organized and well-maintained museums. It houses a large number of artifacts and serves as a research center for academics, historians, and archaeologists.
In addition, the museum is now the only one in the nation to use solar energy to generate its own power. The Indian Ministry of Culture funds this museum.
All Saints Cathedral, Allahabad
All Saints Cathedral, also known as Patthar Girja or the church of stones, is a must-see in Allahabad. One of the British-constructed Gothic-style churches, it is an astonishing marvel.
This cathedral was designed by Sir William Emerson, who also designed the Victoria Memorial in Kolkata. While you are here, the magnificent glass and carvings will undoubtedly pique your interest. Aside from this, the tranquility you'll experience here is difficult to convey verbally.
Allahabad Fort
Allahabad Fort is a work of architecture that towers over the Yamuna. It is believed that Ashoka the Great built this fort initially, but Akbar repaired it around 1583. Even though the Indian Army is currently in charge of the fort,
a portion of it is accessible to the public. This is regarded as one of Allahabad's top tourist attractions. The Ashoka Pillar, one of the pillars that carries the edicts, is another attraction for tourists in addition to the fort's stunning appearance.

Important and Interesting Facts About Jammu & Kashmir
The heaven on the earth, Jammu and Kashmir is a place filled with beauty that is beyond description. If nature happily stays somewhere, that is Jammu and Kashmir. This place is filled with the magic of nature that attracts tourists from all over the world. Amazing hills surrounded by pine and deodar trees playing hide and seek. It looks so soothing with the wind carrying unknown fragrances lakes that has the bluest eyes. When you explore these things, you will definitely realize that there is a paradise on the earth and that is Jammu and Kashmir.
Tumblr media
This place can take you to another part of the world that will give you a feel of beautiful reverie. Most of the Indian films have been shot here and some of them are named Kashmir. Let’s get to know some interesting facts about Jammu and Kashmir.
1. Most Importantly
The state gets complete autonomy with article 370 of the Indian Constitution. Due to this, the status of J&K is internationally disputed. It is the only Indian state that has its own flag.
2. Kashmiriyat
The syncretic culture of Jammu and Kashmir is famously known as the Kashmiriyat. This culture is a great blend of Hinduism, Islam, and Buddhism. This state is contiguous to the Afghan lands that they might have formed links with the legendary silk route. Srinagar is one of the famous cities of Kashmir, was founded by Emperor Ashoka.
The main tapestry of Kashmiriyat is the togetherness or oneness of all Kashmiris that they are one irrespective of their creeds.
3. Longest Railway Tunnel in India
You may feel shocked but the longest railway tunnel in India is in Jammu and Kashmir. This tunnel is known as Pir Panjal Railway Tunnel and is also famous as Asia’s fourth longest tunnel. It is 11.215 km long, 8.4 m wide and 7.39 m tall. It is a great experience to see the trains buzzing, whistling, and piercing through the snow-capped mountains.
It is very easy to gaze at Shikaras floating on the lakes which are like the eyes of the valley, the bluest eye, with oarsmen singing Kashmir folk songs vivaciously. When the train takes an exit from the tunnel that really feels like entering heaven on the earth. Someone has said that if there is paradise anywhere, it is here.
4. Kashmir and Kashmiri Valley
It is a jurisdictional area of Kashmir that is separated from Jammu. Some of its parts are currently under the rule of Pakistan and China. Kashmir Valley is one of the Kashmir Valleys that is marked as the area between the Pir Pinjal range in the southwest and the Himalayas in the northeast. Jhelum is the only river that flows through Jammu and Kashmir.
5. Kalhana
Kalhana is known as one of the gems of Kashmir. Kalhana has written a book famously known as Rajatarangini. He is the first history writer of India. He mentions unimaginable traces of the Kashmir of the 10th century. Jammu and Kashmir are set apart from the various other regions of India. There are plenty of stories associated with Shankaracharya who visited here in the 8th century.
It is also said that there are many saints in the valley such as Lalla who is famously known as Lalleshwari, Nand Rishi. One of the famous movies, Haider was shot in Kashmir and the famous song Bismil was shot at Kalhana.
Jammu and Kashmir have two sides, one shows the beauty of it and the other one scares you. The fight for this land between the three countries has made this state a little scary. But we consider you as a traveller and nature enthusiast and with that purpose, we have mentioned these places. Make sure you visit them and get the real meaning of Paradise on the earth.

Obi-Wan Kenobi had not slept in three nights, and his Lineage was not happy about it.
Ahsoka and Anakin watched with narrowed eyes from a balcony as the Jedi Master mingled with the crowd, smiling softly at anyone who engaged his attention, keeping close to the side of Chancellor Palpatine and Vice Chair Mas Amedda.
For a man who was running on very little sleep and hardly any sustenance, Obi-Wan was managing to maintain the image of the perfect Jedi — civil, humble, charming, wise. Power concealed just below the surface.
Every so often, Palpatine would draw the Jedi deeper into some conversation or other, or pat him on the shoulder in a strangely paternal fashion.
“Why does he keep doing that?” Ahsoka hissed to her Master. “Master Kenobi hates strangers touching him!”
“The Chancellor isn’t a stranger,” Anakin said defensively. But he watched again as Palpatine settled a hand on his former Master’s arm and saw the slight tension creasing Obi-Wan’s forehead, and had to concede that Obi-Wan was feeling uncomfortable. “But yeah. I don’t think the Chancellor knows, he wouldn’t do it if he did. He’s probably just too used to working with me instead. We’re more like friends.”
Ahsoka raised her eyebrows. “And would he have let you go home by now? We were supposed to be able to leave almost two hours ago.”
Anakin sighed. He leaned on the railing, absentmindedly picking at a carved design in the metal with his mech hand, creating a small clicking noise. He scanned the room again, searching for unlikely threats, and then returned his gaze to his Master and his friend, still penned in the center of a colorful crowd all waiting for attention. To see and be seen. Vultures.
Obi-Wan had more patience for this sort of thing, it was true, but it was apparent to those who knew him well — to Anakin — that he was run ragged. That every new face turning in his direction, awed and pettily delighted by meeting both the Supreme Chancellor and a High Jedi General, was another weight on his shoulders.
Anakin glanced over at his Padawan. Ahsoka’s eyes lit up as she saw the look in his eyes.
“How do you wanna do this?” she asked, tapping her fingers excitedly on the banister. “I know you like explosions, but if you set something off, Master Obi-Wan will definitely have to flee with the Chancellor to safety and then he’ll be gone for ages.”
“You’re right, Snips,” Anakin said, and a smirk pulled at his lips. He ruffled his hair proudly, ignoring Ahsoka’s eye roll, and said, “So I’ll take a leaf from Obi-Wan’s book. I’ll just go right down there and use my words.”
Anakin beamed.
Ahsoka looked as if she suddenly preferred an explosion.
-
“Yes, hi, hello, excuse me, coming through, yep, pardon me, just walking here,” Anakin threw scattered, inane apologies in every direction as he plowed a path right through the entire gala.
Ahsoka trailed in his wake, smiling awkwardly at the people who scattered with startled looks and scowling ferociously at those who dared look cross.
Obi-Wan spotted them first. He was deep in conversation with a representative from the Core, but his blue eyes flickered to them briefly and his smile became slightly taut; he raised one of his hands in what might have passed for a wave but was, to his Padawans, a clear signal to turn around.
Anakin disregarded this subtle warning immediately.
He strolled directly up to Obi-Wan, bowed slightly, and put a hand on the Master’s shoulder, smiling blindingly at the representative. “Good evening. I’m afraid it’s time for Master Kenobi to depart. The Jedi thank you for your time.”
The representative raised her eyebrows but said nothing.
Palpatine, on the other hand, suddenly popped up right beside them, a wide smile on his grandfatherly face. “Anakin, Knight Skywalker, how good to see you! I thought you’d gone home hours ago, why, surely you need your rest after that last campaign.”
Anakin kept a hand on Obi-Wan’s shoulder. Ahsoka shifted to stand behind them, smiling a little too widely, the points of her teeth glinting, at anyone who looked at them askance.
“We had quite the victory,” Anakin agreed. He preened slightly. But — “And you’re right, Chancellor, we do need our rest. General Kenobi has served very well, and we’re all eager to rest and prepare for our next deployment.”
Palpatine’s smile widened still further. “Ah, yes. General Kenobi is an incredible public servant, he’s such a delight to have at events such as these.”
This time it was Anakin who tensed slightly. Ahsoka sidled up surreptitiously and linked her arm with Master Obi-Wan’s, flanking him between them, drawn up as tall as she could make herself.
Anakin looked intently at Palpatine, trying to communicate to his friend that now was not the time for politics. He’d thought this would be easy, but the Chancellor seemed determined to keep Kenobi with him all evening. The crowd had begun to disperse, realizing they weren’t going to be receiving any attention for awhile, but they milled about nearby, clearly listening in.
“I—” Obi-Wan began, but Anakin decided to risk his Master’s wrath and just cut him right off.
“And he and I are always happy to be invited by such gracious hosts!” he blurted out quickly. “But sadly, we will have to wait for another invitation before we get the chance to enjoy one another’s company. We really do have to be going.”
Palpatine studied him for a moment.
Go on, Anakin urged him silently. Please. Come on. You know we want to leave.
The silence dragged.
“Master Kenobi,” Palpatine said warmly, turning to Obi-Wan, and Anakin felt a wave of relief. “What do you say? Shall we… let you out of your duties for the sake of your valiant friends?”
Oh, what the fuck?
It had the ring of a joke but was worded like a trap. And Anakin could see, in slow-motion, the flicker of resignation and bitterness deep in Obi-Wan’s blue eyes, just behind the friendly smile, and knew what was about to happen if he didn’t do something about it.
Anakin let out a loud laugh and clapped Obi-Wan on the shoulder again. “Sorry, everyone. We’re on a time crunch, we have to get back in time for dessert.”
Ahsoka laughed, too, and clung a little tighter to Obi-Wan’s arm.
Obi-Wan looked somewhere between confused and horror struck.
Palpatine’s smile froze.
Anakin chuckled and waved at the surrounding crowd, shrugging in a you-know-how-it-is sort of way. “Hey, he promised us milkshakes. General I may be, but I still demand my old Master fulfill his promises of unhealthy desserts.”
“Hey, I think out of everyone, I deserve milkshakes the most!” Ahsoka interjected, her tone teasing.
A few of the politicians shot her amused smiles. Ordinarily she would have bristled, but in this instance she just shot them knowing, conspiratorial looks, like a child deliberately making mischief. There was a ripple of laughter.
“I don’t know about that,” Anakin said. “I think I definitely took out the most droids.”
“Riiiight,” said Ashoka. “After I took out the battlement. By myself.”
They ribbed back and forth. The gala was eating it up, their faces amused and indulgent, intrigued by the display of youthful frivolity and friendship the Jedi were giving them. Obi-Wan was still pinned between them, rooted helplessly to the spot.
Anakin looked back at the Chancellor, expecting a smile.
Instead he got a blank expression — which quickly turned into a loud bark of laughter and a grandfatherly grin. He clapped his hands to gain the attention of the crowd and said, “Oh, I believe our brave Hero and his friends have earned themselves a night out for something as innocent and delightful as milkshakes, don’t you say?”
The crowd laughed and nodded; there was scattered applause, and it was done.
Anakin winked at the Chancellor and then turned on the spot, he and Ahsoka striding out the room with Obi-Wan trapped in the middle, waving and bowing at anyone who smiled in their direction.
The three of them escaped out of the ballroom, down the flight of stairs, and out onto the grand balcony overlooking the landing platform, where their ship was waiting in the semi-darkness of the Coruscant night.
Anakin and Ahsoka turned at the same time to look at Obi-Wan, each of them still holding on to one of the Master’s arms.
There was a long silence.
Obi-Wan stared tiredly down at the speeder for a very long time.
Anakin looked at his Padawan nervously.
But then Obi-Wan’s lips twitched beneath his beard, and then he chuckled, and then he burst into uproarious laughter. The sound was infectious; relieved and excited, the other two clung to him and laughed, all of them half-leaning on the railing, cackling like idiots.
They laughed until they ran out of breath, and then laughed a little more.
After a long while, Obi-Wan disentangled his arms from their controlling grips but immediately settled them back, one on Anakin’s shoulder and the other resting on Ahsoka’s back. “I think,” he said, “I promised you milkshakes. Dex’s?”
“Oh, I definitely remember you saying that!” Ahsoka said. “Dex’s is great.”
“Yeah, and you also definitely said you’d pay,” Anakin wheedled.
“No,” Obi-Wan said firmly.
“Awww. Worth a shot,” Anakin whispered to his Padawan.
Obi-Wan smiled. “I said I’d pay for Ahsoka’s. You, my Knighted former Padawan, can pay for your own dessert.”
Ahsoka cheered. Anakin groaned. They strolled off into the night, ambling without haste or urgency or fear, connected by light touches of the hands and arms, and by something deeper and unseen and familial.
There would be time for the war and politics later.
Right now, they were late for dessert.

Warnings: angst. fluffy flashbacks. this isn’t even the worst of it mwhaha. paragraphed italics = flashback
Tumblr media
                                            [10 YEARS LATER]
The sky was as blue as his eyes. Not as dark and cloudy, but gave the same feeling of hope, peacefulness, and comfort. You could picture them vividly in your mind, even the small crinkle at the edges and the kindness they held, a warmness that matched your current aurora.
The two of you sat in the gardens for what felt like hours, deep in meditation. Your force signatures quickly became entangled with one another, your bond radiating around you, creating almost a shield bubble between the rest of the world and the two who sat inside.
Obi-Wan was the first to open his eyes, having never been one to sit still for long periods of time. He’s improved since he was a youngling, but still had a long way to go.
You, on the other hand, looked completely invested in your meditation. Your face was relaxed, although every now and then your eyebrows would furrow as you tried to maintain concentration. It was hard when a certain other was very distracting, even if he wasn’t aware of it.
“I can feel you staring,” you said, eyes still closed. Obi-Wan was thankful for that fact because it means you wouldn’t see him blush in embarrassment from getting caught.
“I can feel you blushing, too.” This time, you opened your eyes and smiled. “I knew you wouldn’t last long.” Anytime the two of you tried to meditate together, it would always end with Obi-Wan getting bored and asking to duel instead.
He quickly hid his face, pulling the hood of his robe over his head. “I’m not blushing, that’s childish.”
You giggled, leaning forward to lift the front of his hood. “Obi-Wan, you are the most childish person I know.”
The young man was about to protest before you hushed, eyes already closed once more as you returned to your deep state of awareness.
You opened your eyes and sighed, long and deep.
Standing up from the cold floor of your room, you looked out the window and gazed at the cloudy sky of Gyfill. The air felt chilly from the lack of life-forms in the area. After your first week on the planet, you decided it was a safer idea to seek shelter away from town. Considering your mission was to spy on the local Separatist groups, keeping a low profile was essential.
Today was different, however. The same cold and dull atmosphere were present, but the future is what held the divergent. For today, was the day you were finally to return home.
Home. The word itself felt familiar but distant. As a Jedi, you trained to hold little sentimental value. Attachments were forbidden, a path to the dark side. They provoked fear. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.
Once your bag of belongings was packed, you made your way to the marked location someone from the Jedi council sent earlier that morning. Mentally, you were not prepared to see everyone again. After being isolated for years and having limited contact with any life form outside of business, the many faces from your time at the Temple became slightly blurry. Except for his.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was on his way to the Archives when he bumped into Ahsoka Tano.
“Oh, Master Kenobi! Perfect, I was about to go look for you.”
“Ahsoka,” he smiled. “What can I do for you?”
“Who’s Y/n Y/l/n?”
Obi-Wan froze. The sound of that name echoed in his mind, paired with memories that he had locked away in the back of his mind. “Well...that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time,” was all he could manage to say, still trying to process all the past recollections that suddenly surfaced.
“So, you know them?”
“Uh, yes I suppose so. We were...close as younglings and trained together as Padawans. They were...the most skilled Jedi I ever had the pleasure of knowing, almost as good as Master Yoda.”
“If they’re so great, how come I never heard of them before?” Ahsoka tilted her head and raised an eyebrow, resting a hand on her hip in classic ‘Ashoka manner’,
“They were sent away on an important mission years ago as far as I know. Er, why do you ask? And how did you come to know of that name?”
“Oh right. Anakin said the Chancellor told him that Master Y/l/n was returning today. He told me to ask you about it.”
Once again, Obi-Wan’s world paused.
He stood across from you, trying to maintain a neutral expression as he watched you load your bags onto the ship. However, you knew him better than that.
You walked up to the young boy and he took in your appearance. Gone was the braid that draped over your shoulder. Gone were the long robes you liked to hide in, in their place was a heavy jacket that looked like it was built to keep out the cold. Perhaps you were going to Hoth?
“Obi, you know I can’t tell you where I’m going. Master Windu was strict about his instructions,” You sighed, sensing your friend trying to deduce as much as he could. Your Master was very clear when he told you how classified the mission was. No one can know, especially Obi-Wan.
“Can you at least say how long you’ll be gone?” He practically begged, wanting something, anything he could get to keep his hope alive. Hope that you'll return soon. Hope that you weren’t truly leaving him.
You looked away, staring at the towers and passing hover-vehicles that littered the planet you’ve grown up on. “I don’t know.”
Everything had happened so suddenly. You were called into the council room that day to hear the news every Padawan dreams of. When Master Windu said you were ready for the trials, the first thing you went to do was tell Obi-Wan. The two of you celebrated that night in the gardens, a moment you would treasure for the rest of your life. Soon after you gained the title of Jedi Knight, you were once again called into the Jedi Council room to be debriefed on your first mission as a proper Jedi. You didn’t want to mess this up. You couldn’t.
Obi-Wan resists the urge to pull you into a hug and never let you go, instead opting to hold your shoulders and give you his signature charming smile. “Be safe, darling.”
You smiled, but it didn’t reach your eyes. You held his wrist, bringing his knuckles to your lips and pressed a hesitant kiss to them before pushing them to his side. “May the force be with you.”
There was no pet name at the end, no ‘my friend’ or even his own name. It was a sentence that was meant to bring comfort, but the way you phrased it, the edge in your voice, made Obi-Wan feel everything but comforted.
He didn’t get the luxury of responding, for all he did was blink and suddenly you were on the ship, taking off into the clear blue sky.
You gazed at the clouds passing by as the ship flew into Coruscant’s atmosphere. The bright light and sunny day was a harsh change from the grey sky that fell over Gyfill. The energy emitting off of all the life-forms gave you a headache. You felt the Force all around you, swirling in the air and penetrating your soul. It was like a breath of fresh air after drowning for over a decade.
You flinched at the light as the door opened, suddenly feeling like a hermit crawling out of its shell. Slowly walking out of the ship, you pulled the cloak hood over your head, inhaling the strange but familiar scent of the Jedi Temple. You were still wearing your Gyfill civilian attire, the wool fabric made the Coruscant heat much more intense causing a few beads of sweat to form on your forehead. Or was it just the nerves of seeing all the people you left behind?
Master Windu stood at the end of the drop door, a smile on his face at the sight of his former Padawan. It was an occasion that called for a little joy, a moment to celebrate outside the war that raged through the galaxy.
You descended down the ramp, taking in a sharp breath at the feeling of another force sensitive. “Master Windu”. You bowed your head and he did the same to you.
“Master Y/l/n, it’s great to see you in person rather than as a hologram.”
You both chuckled lightly. “The feeling is mutual, Master. It’s...it’s good to be back.” Your eyes wandered over the people that roamed about. Jedi Masters walked with their Padawans at their side. Distant memories resonated within you. Some time ago that was once you and your Master, the man who stands before you know who has grown significantly older. Then again, so have I, you thought to yourself.
Unbeknownst to you, you weren’t the only one registering your growth. Obi-Wan stood behind a pillar, glancing over the hanger in search of a familiar face. He was aware it would not be the same face he knew as a young boy, but he certainly was not prepared for what he saw.
You look older, which was the obvious and expected observation. He noted how you wrapped yourself in your cloak, similar to how you would in your youth. You stood tall in front of Master Windu, another trait you had kept since your days as a Padawan. He remembered how you would always act mature in the presence of Masters, something he never really understood until becoming a Jedi Knight. The need for approval by the superiors was a constant.
It wasn’t just your appearance that had changed either. He could feel it in the Force. There was a shift in it when you had landed that made an excited yet nervous chill run down his spine. You were stronger and held more control in your signature.
Before, he remembers being able to feel it from across the Temple. Now, it was barely there. He remembers feeling your bond drift farther as he watched you leave, and how it had dimmed over the years you were gone. He remembers the pain that tortured him every night as he laid awake in bed, trying to reach out across the stars but only being met with the vast emptiness of space. There was something in him that broke the first time he slept without having a tendril of your force signature connected with his. He felt cold, resorting to sleeping in his Master’s quarters in an attempt to ease the loneliness.
Overall, it would appear that nothing about you had changed, and yet it seemed everything was different. Almost everything.
His eyes were just as blue as the last time you saw them. They looked tired, haunted by the ongoing war but still filled with determination. Classic Obi-Wan.
You quickly broke eye contact the moment it was made, but that one second was more than enough for Obi-Wan to get lost in the familiar colour. His favourite colour in fact, not that he would ever admit you had any part in the decision.
“Master Obi-Wan?”
He jumped at the sound of a voice and suddenly became aware of the presence right next to him, that presence belonging to none other than Master Yoda.
“Master Yoda! I er I was just...uh...looking...for Anakin! Yes, uh have you seen him around by any chance?” Obi-Wan quickly tried to cover his stutter, feeling embarrassed about getting caught gazing from afar. Not that Master Yoda would know he was looking at you...right?
“I see,” the little green creature smirked in amusement. “Whatever it is, wait it can. Council meeting about to begin there is.”
Obi-Wan furrowed his eyes. Typically he was able to keep a good track of the meetings, but this was news to him. “What’s it about?”
“Master Y/l/n.”
“Hmm?” You hummed absentmindedly.
“Are you listening?” Master Windu raised an eyebrow.
“Oh uh, my apologies Master. I’m just...readjusting.” You tried to focus your attention on what Master Windu was saying, but the recognition of his presence made it difficult. For years, you tried to forget about him. You ignored the empty feeling in your stomach at night, the thoughts and memories that plagued your dreams. After some time, they eventually began to fade but never forgotten. It was for the best.
Master Windu crossed his arms. “There will be plenty of time for that after your debrief of the mission. Master Yoda and the rest of the council await.”
Oh, Force, not the council.
You would never dare to admit or even show it, but the council and being in the council room had always intimidated you. How could it not? You had to stand in the center of all the best Jedi of that era while they stare at you, judging you, sitting high and mighty in those stupid chairs.
“This way, my old Padawan.”
You followed Master Windu through the large halls of the Jedi Temple. You masked the nervousness that was no doubt radiating from your force signature. A multitude of thoughts ran through your mind, good and bad. Worst case scenario, you had done something so wrong that you were about to be kicked out of the Jedi Order. Nothing came to mind when you tried to think of any offence you had committed in the recent weeks since you earned the title of Jedi Knight.
You were pulled out of your thoughts by the sound of the large council room doors opening, the creaking of the hinges made you cringe slightly.
The room was ominously lit, the only light source being the setting sun shining through the glass windowed walls. Master Yoda sat in his seat. All the other chairs were empty.
Master Windu took his seat as you stood before the two of them. He could see the questions rise from your confused facial expression. “Everything we discuss in this room stays between us, young Jedi.”
You nodded, inhaling and exhaling slowly in an attempt to calm yourself. “Master Windu, Master Yoda. What is this about? Have I done something wrong?”
The two men looked at each other and shared an unreadable expression before turning back to you. Master Yoda was the first to speak. “Sending you on a mission we are. To Gyfill you will go.”
Whatever anxieties that you held before were washed away with this information. You contain your excitement, but the sudden mood shift was still noticeable. “Who am I going with? When do we leave? What’s the mission for?” It was rare that a Jedi would be sent on a mission alone, typically you were partnered up for safety measures. Obi-Wan’s face flashed in your mind, and although it was unlikely, a small part of you hoped he would be going with you.
“This mission only requires one Jedi. There’s a Separaist organization on the planet and we’re sending you to gain intel and report back to us. No one outside of this room can be aware of this information. You leave within the week. Understood?”
You frowned, “Forgive me Master, but why can’t anyone know?” The idea of having to leave your home seemingly without a trace made you iffy. Obi-Wan once again appeared in your mind.
Master Windu and Yoda exchanged a look before Windu responded almost hesitantly. “We have reason to believe someone in the Order is a traitor, and the number of people who are trustworthy is very limited.”
“You mean someone has betrayed us?” You asked in shock. How could anyone do such a thing? And a Jedi nonetheless.
“Time to answer your questions, there will be, young one. Prepare for your first mission now, you must.” Master Yoda said. “Prepare to say goodbye you should.”
It was as IF he could read your mind, which he probably could. You dreaded the idea of saying goodbye, especially when it was clear that there was no guarantee of your return date. How would you explain to your friends that you won’t be around anymore? What will Obi-Wan think?
“That is another subject that needs to be discussed.”

what else needs to be discussed? who’s the traitor? how will obi-wan and y/n get on after all this time? lemme know what you think!!

Oh and I totally just remembered a really disturbing part of TCW that was what really made me start thinking “wtf is wrong with the Order”. I don’t know the season and episode it was but it was when Bariss and Ashoka were trapped together and Anakin was trying to get them out but Luminara was willing to let them die just to prove how unattached she was.
I’ve literally seen apologists laugh this off and have it in memes like “I don’t care if my Padawan dies” “haha we know luminara”
^ Seriously! Even in the current Star Wars that is considered canon, the amount of Jedi apologists are gross! I usually don’t like to get in fights with people in fandoms who’s takes I disagree with, but the amount of apologizing for the Jedi Council’s abuse, endangerment, neglect, and oppression of every child under their care is fucked up.
One thing I do like is how, while this fandom is still unfortunately dominated by the middle aged comic book nerds who continue to reduce the main characters to black-and-white action hero and villain tropes, rather than the complex and relatable ones they were, a lot of fans are also now starting to recognize that Anakin, Ahsoka, Luke, and the Jedi who didn’t fit into the cookie cutter mold of the “perfect Jedi,” and actually had and developed serious issues and problems with the ways in which they were being treated by the other Jedi, the ways in which others were being treated who weren’t important to “the greater good” of the Order, weren’t necessarily being “whiney” and “ungrateful” brats. Many times they were reacting like realistic victims of cult abuse, brainwashing, deception, isolation, and manipulation by getting angry, by getting annoyed, by calling out Obi Wan, Yoda, and the Council on their shitty habits, by feeling afraid and uncertain of their own morality and feelings as a result of years of that emotional abuse and gaslighting from Yoda and the Council, by questioning them, by wanting to leave after being treated like garbage by the council, and for not trusting them and listening to them every time they tell them to just leave their family and friends to die “for the greater good” and “Rejoice in their deaths, mourn them not, and leave fate to the force,” even when they are not actually in war on the battlefield.
Most people can’t be “good victims” like Obi Wan and not get pissed off and break under that much of abuse, brainwashing, and manipulation.
And because I know it is coming, no, that does not mean the entire Order deserved to be wiped out in Order 66 by Palpatine via Anakin and his troops. No, that does not mean it was right for Anakin to participate in the mass slaughter of the Order and Separatist leaders. He absolutely was selfish in his desperation to avoid abandonment, and he knew he was wrong.
However, they all had completely valid reasons to be annoyed, pissed off, and distrustful towards Obi Wan, Yoda, Luminara, and the Council of adults who raised and/or trained them in the Jedi Order. They had completely valid reasons to call them out on their shitty treatment of them. They all had completely valid reasons to want to leave and they should have. Anakin, you should have insisted upon leaving to Padme more, but you’re always too afraid and too uncertain to listen to your own gut instincts about right vs wrong by instead listening to what everyone else you loved told you was for the best to try to please and/or protect them until it broke you!
