I love Pico and adore that he's adopted Todd as his dad! I am very curious as to why he doesn't like Mikey though, if you want to share that or waiting to do something with it later. No pressure to answer, but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with that episode where Mikey ditches Todd to hang out with Meat Sweats?

That episode is the sole reason why he doesn't like Mike. Pico in his eyes sees Mikey as a I wanna say threat/danger to Todd's life, even if Todd doesn't see it that way cuz he's too nice and optimistic for his own good (bless him), Pico doesn't wanna risk losing the only caring figure he has in his life cuz he wouldn't know what to do without him. So yeah he's gonna be quite rude and standoffish to anyone he deems as a threat to his dad figure/family. He doesn't understand the appeal of idols, cuz from Pico's pov Mikey disregarded his friendship and left him for a sleezeball who's tried to eat him and his family on MULTIPLE occasions. I don't think any excuse is gonna make him feel better.

I finally watched Mutant Mayhem the other day and I loved it so much.

When I was watching it I felt that Mikey had a lot of focus that he doesn’t normally get in tmnt films. Leo obviously had his being a leader and trying to find acceptance arc with his brothers but I couldn’t help but notice that Mikey had so much focus.

He’s the last in line on the walk home and has the slow moments where he’s watching the humans that his brothers didn’t get as much, he’s the one to ask April if other humans would accept them, he’s the one who is attached to the machine the longest, he had that moment in the battle where he can’t really hear and is disoriented and that’s a scene that you would normally think would go to Leo but Mikey gets it instead and I’m sure he’s target 1 in the last scene.

I’ve wanted a more Mikey and Donnie centric movie for ages now since the 90s and 2007 films were more Leo and Raph centric but I’m nervous if they give him more angst but I love it too.

thinking about how if the 2012 boys met the rottmnt boys, there is ABSOLUTELY a chance that 2012!Raph would see Rise!Raph and just immediately be reminded of Slash and he just... can't relax around him. and the 2012 boys know why he's reacting that way, and they just support their brother in any way they can, but Rise!Raph doesn't get it, and even though he tries to get to know his counterpart, he can't really get past 2012!Raph flinching every time he comes close to him or reaches out towards one of his brothers

and it's not until Rise!Leo figures out that something's up, so he goes to talk to him, and oh, 2012!Raph can't resist this version of his brother, because he's reminded so much of himself, so he absolutely ends up telling Rise!Leo everything, and there may be tears involved.

Rise!Leo being like "omg you're just like me fr" and comparing Guilt™️, and yes their conversation ends with 2012!Raph actually being able to relax and joke around with his counterpart, but now 2012!Raph and Rise!Leo are attached at the hip because they've bonded over their ✨trauma✨, and if anyone tries to separate them they're probably getting bitten

I actually like several AUs that take the exact opposite philosophy of what I’m about to say here but I really truly feel like in a world where Draxum kept some/all of the turtles he would consider Donnie his biggest success.

First of all I think it’s kind of weird when people act like Draxum would be surprised/disappointed by Donnie’s softshell. Like yeah I guess it’s funny to think he grabbed 4 random eggs without knowing what would hatch, but actually if your goal is to make a bunch of super soldier turtle tots it makes sense to get a softshell. They’re predators, they’re aggressive, they’re fast (for a turtle) on both land and in water, their soft shell affords them more agility and flexibility than other turtles, they can stay under water basically indefinitely, and they have strong chompers for chompin’.

Donnie himself is hyper intelligent, morally gray, indifferent to the plights of people he doesn’t personally care about, unafraid of physical confrontation (he gets right in Draxum’s face in episode 1 and he swings that bo like it’s a battle hammer half the time), and his love for his family is the only thing keeping him from his villain arc anyway. Add all that to his need for Parental Approval at All Costs and you have the perfect recipe for a little murder turtle tot all your own.

Sure, he’s not so good at mystic stuff, but lbr Draxum probably wasn’t expecting any of them to be and that would just come as a bonus.

tldr Donnie is Draxum’s truest son and everyone should be glad Splinter got him in the divorce

I really hope that the reason why the S-62 have been missing from the past few chapters despite everyone else waking up is that they've found Kakucho's body in the train and are about to pull a Baji by turning on Kanto Manji Gang, which would also be a great parallel to when they refused to fight for Tenjiku by ignoring Izana's order to kill Kakucho
