okay hi! i have a really old editing tutorial from back in january that i've been linking people to, but it's pretty outdated by now. i also keep getting anons asking about the same things, which is fine, but i always have to go searching for the post explaining it, so having it all in one place will be a lot more convenient lol
i use a ☠ copy of photoshop cc 2017 to edit my screenshots, however the majority of everything i'm doing also works on photopea
photopea is an online version of photoshop that's 100% free and works very well! i can't recommend it enough, it's fantastic
first things first, you're going to need some screenshots to edit. for the sake of this tutorial i'll be working with this one of raffy:
in all honesty, gshade will do most of the work for you. of course it's not needed, but i definitely don't think i could live without it! in this screenshot i used sunset n' vinyl by nesurii
when opening the screenshot, the first thing i do is run it through 2 photoshop actions:
butter action by early-grape
smooth sharp (no topaz) by poolbrop
to add actions in photoshop go:
windows > actions > the 4 lines at the upper right corner of the newly opened window > load actions > your downloads folder > open up the .atn files!
if you're using photopea, as far as i'm aware you can't use photoshop actions, but i've found that 'filter > stylize > oil paint' and 'filter > sharpen > smart sharpen' have a very similar effect when using the right settings. try these:
i like these two actions because they smooth everything out nicely, but keep it sharp at the same time! i always run butter before i run smooth sharp, however butter may leave you with 2 layers. make sure to merge these layers before running smooth sharp to achieve the full effect.

from here you can move on to step 2
before anything else i want to share the template that i use to make editing a lot faster. you don't need to use it but it's definitely made things a lot easier for me! it's a .psd file and will work perfectly in photopea

if you're using the template you can skip right on to the next section, as it's already cropped to the right size and has the colouring folder included. just drag your screenshot into it and resize to fit the height.
if you're not using it, crop your edited screenshot to:
1707 width x 1280 height
then adjust the colours to your liking. it always varies slightly depending on the picture but my regular process for each screenshot would be:
up the saturation by 8%
up the lightness by 3%
up the contrast by 12%
all of this can be done by looking in the 'images > adjustments' tab
you should end up with something similar to this!
if you want to add a moodlet or social interaction or anything similar, it's all the same process. what you'll need is a screenshot of it straight from the game. i just press the 'c' key to capture them! i'll be working with these two:
for the blue notification i'm going to select it using the box select tool. try to get it as exact as possible. one you have it selected
for photoshop users:
click on the 'select and mask...' option located at the top
adjust the global refinements at the side as follows:
smooth: 70
feather: 0.0px
contrast: 50%
shift edge: 0%
for photopea users:
go to select > modify > smooth
set it to 15
select 'ok' and press 'ctrl + c' to copy it, then 'ctrl + v' to paste it into your screenshot. adjust the size and position and you should end up with something like this:
next you want to add the transparent border around the notification. if you're using my editing template, right click on the reference notif in the layers tab and select 'copy layer style' (photopea > 'layer style > copy'). from there you can paste that layer style onto your own notif through the layers tab.
if you're not using the template, here's how to set it up on photoshop:
right click your notification layer and select 'blending options'
under styles, tick the checkboxes for stroke and drop shadow
input these settings:
on photopea, it should be more or less the same. repeat the exact same process with the social menu option, but instead of selecting it with the box select tool, use the magic select tool. in the end you should end out with this!

Lewis never turned down a game, it was a little sliver of his childhood that he liked to revisit every now and again. He didn’t give himself a lot of downtime during the season, finding things to fill in the weeks off and if he wasn’t doing that, he's training.
Now that they’re on break awaiting the next season, Lewis finally had down time to play his game.
After his training session this morning, he found his way to the couch and was now playing some old version of a game they picked up during the season.
“Lew!” You called from the kitchen, you were around to start dinner and you wanted to know what he wanted. “Lewis!” You shouted from the kitchen once more before wandering into the living room to find him on the couch.
You stood behind the couch and took his headphones off, the man’s head tilts back to see you, he smiles. “Hey you.” He puckers his lips and you lean down, a hand on his cheek when you kiss him.
“What do you want for dinner?”
His hand reaches for yours, holding it when you climb over the back of the couch to sit beside him. Lewis pauses his game, an arm over your shoulder. “Whatever you want is fine.”
“How about take out then? I don’t really wanna cook.” You suggest and Lewis hum, “that’s fine.”
You get up, going to get your phone to order before finding your way back to Lewis. He was busy with his game once again and you sit yourself down on his lap, straddling him this time. His arms are around you while you leaned into you, head on his shoulder.
The two of you were sitting there for a while but you were starting to get bored. Lewis has been playing his game all day, not that you minded but you wanted a bit of attention.
You shift a bit of his lap, one of his hands resting on your hip to keep you in place. Lewis can feel your kiss his neck, your lips trailing up and down. “What are you doing?” He asks and you hum, “nothing.” You move down his neck to kiss along his shoulder, his shirt was sitting beside him since he came in front training.
He lets out a groan when you bite his shoulder softly. Lewis ignores you, knowing what you’re playing at.
You were getting annoyed at the lack of attention and continued to grind down on your boyfriend’s lap, feeling his bulge under you. “C’mon,” you whisper to him, “you know I'm way more fun than the game.”
Lewis doesn't answer you, his fingers moving on the controller and you reach behind you to take the thing from him. “Y/n!” He groans, “I was about to win.”
“Yeah, well too bad.” You kiss him, setting the controller on the table behind the couch. Lewis flips you two over so you were laying under him. Just as you were about to wrap your legs around him, the doorbell rings.
He groans, “are you serious?”
“Dinner’s here, lover boy.” You slip out from under him, the man groaning whilst you walk off.

Okay 🧈 anon back again with another riki request 😘
Consider this, a fair date with riki. But like your not sure if it's a date date yk? (I think I'm stuck on the friends to lovers trope atm) And you're not sure where you stand with riki. Neither of you have brought it up but friends definitely don't cuddle up on the couch like you guys do when you watch movies and friends don't spoon you the way riki likes to when he spends the night. Your relationship with Riki was very interesting. You both have known each other forever. You both have spent late nights on the couch playing video games, watching movies, and watching random YouTube videos. You would be lying to yourself if you didn’t find yourself staring at his lips a little too long. He would tease you saying something stupid like, “ohhhh you wanna kiss me so bad.” You would deny it and call him a loser. But, in reality, you wanted to kiss him. Part of you felt like you needed to for your mental health. But that was just you being overdramatic.
For your graduation Riki wanted to take you to a fair, it was a big accomplishment and he said he wanted to show you how proud he was of you. The night before you offered to have him sleep over, which he very much agreed to. You both ended up cuddling for the millionth time that night. What was different is that you noticed Riki would trace little shapes on your hands as his breath slowed and he relaxed. You leaned into him, and you heard a small chuckle escape his lips. It made your stomach churn like a ton of wild rats trying to escape you. You knew you were head over heels in love with him. You were in love with Nishimura Riki- your best friend, someone your parents trusted enough to let him sleep over, someone who you trust with everything, someone who you didn’t want to lose.
The next day when you guys got to the fair, Riki noticed there was a ton of people.
“Busy day today huh?” You laughed nervously; you weren’t big on crowds. Riki looked down at you.
“Everyone graduates around the same time, so it makes sense.” He said and smiled down at you, he patted your head. When you guys got into the fair, he started to REALLY notice that it was crowded. If you got lost, you could probably easily find him, but there is no way he could find you.
“Here.” Riki said and grabbed your hand, your heart skipped a beat, and you looked up at him.
“So, you don’t get lost.” Riki said and smirked down at you, you found yourself rolling your eyes, you were not going to complain though.
“What do you wanna do first?” You asked looking up at him, he looked down at you.
“Y/n this is YOUR day!” He grinned at you, “you choose.”
You looked around and led him to the prizes, “can you win me something?”
Riki looked at you and contemplated, “I dunno can I? Hmmmm lemme see!” He put money in the machine in exchange for coins. Then he found the basketball game. He was a little nervous because if he lost then he would lose the chance to impress you. Fair games were also KNOWN to be rigged, so this was WAY more nerve-racking, than he was letting on.
“I believe in you Riki!” You said, your heart was full as you cheered him on. You meant to help, but this just made him more nervous.
He shot a couple of baskets and missed. He had one more chance to win you something, he glanced down at you and saw your eyes practically sparkling at him- for him. He took a deep breath. You were watching him, he looked so focused, you thought it was adorable how hard Riki was trying to win you something.
Riki took his last shot and actually got it in, you cheered and jumped on his arm, “you did it Riki!”
He ended up winning you the small prize, but it didn’t matter to you, what made you happy is that Riki got you something. It didn’t matter how big or expensive said gift was.
“The stuffed animal kinda looks like you.” Riki teased you, he kept his hand on your small backpack, you felt the weight of it, and it made your heart happy.
“Riki this is literally a snail.” You looked up at him, laughing.
“And?” He teased again and nudged you. You rolled your eyes and put the stuffed animal in his face.
“You’re the worst.”
As you guys walked around more, you both got some crazy fair foods, like the deep-fried Oreos and different odd drinks. You laughed when Riki accidentally spilled on himself, little did you know, he spilled because he kept looking at how your eyes lit up when you saw the different attractions in the distance. After your drinks you guys continued on your walk.
“Holy shit I haven’t been on the swings in years.” Riki looked up at the attraction. Your stomach twisted, this time in a bad way. It may be a kids ride however; you didn’t like being high up at all. You actually despised it. He turned to you, “can we go on it? Please?”
You swallowed hard, not wanting to be a buzzkill you nodded. You were nervous in line, fidgeting and looking around.
“Y/n?” Riki said, you looked up at him and hummed.
“Are you scared?” He asked, you shook your head no. Riki gave you a look.
“You haven’t let go of my hand since we got in line, and I don’t think you can get lost in line.” He said smugly and lifted your intertwined hands.
“I’m… I’m just not good with heights.” You looked away nervously.
“You’ll be fiiiine, I promise.” Riki said, you nodded and looked down, “here.” He lifted your hands again and kissed the back of your hands, “I wouldn’t go on a ride with you that would put you in danger.”
THAT DID NOT HELP YOUR NERVES AT ALL.
Needless to say, the ride was fun, and you felt embarrassed for being so scared to go on it. You laughed as your hair would get in your face and Riki would be making jokes left and right. When you got off Riki was right next to you.
“Yooou are so braaaave!” Riki said and hugged you from behind, he lifted you up slightly and shook you. You yelped and started giggling.
“Riki stoppp!” You laughed.
You guys’ continued walking, Riki letting you lead so you could pick the next ride. He kept your hand in his. In his other hand he was changing his wallpaper to you on the swings. He thought you looked really pretty even with your hair in your face. Riki could still see his favorite smile in the picture and that is what's important to him.
Getting brave, and the fact you have never been on a ferris wheel, you got in line to try it.
When Riki saw where you had led him, he smiled, “not scared anymore?”
“Shut up.” You nudged him. He chuckled and threw his head back.
When you guys got in the ferris wheel it was dark, it would make the high up view a little less scary for you. You were thankful for that.
Riki kept his hand on yours and you looked at them.
“Oh, are you scared now?” You teased him, Riki looked down at your hands.
“Nah, I just don’t want to let go of you.” He spoke, your jaw dropped, and you looked away from him quickly. Teasing him BACKFIRED. You tried to calm your heart rate down looking out at the city lights. It truly was a beautiful view, you still felt his hand in yours. Your hands were probably sweaty too….
Riki also looked away and he started beating himself up for saying something as stupid as that. You probably thought he was weird now! And his hands are SO SWEATY RIGHT NOW!
He took a deep breath and looked at you, your eyes focused on the lights around you. The city was always beautiful to you, he knew you loved the view. He loved his view too.
Feeling his eyes on you, you turned to look at him.
“Do I have a bug in my hair?” You asked, he shook his head no.
“You’re just so pretty.”
Your jaw opened slightly again, being surprised at how bold he is being with you at the moment. He put his free hand on your cheek.
“Tell me right now if you don’t want me to kiss you.”
Your breath hitched, “you can kiss me.”
Riki grinned, “do you want me to though?”
You nodded, “yeah I do…”
Riki bit back his smile as he leaned in and finally kissed you.

Finally, some time to yourself to go out for some errands. You take a small trip to Victoria's Secret to buy something that'll hopefully spice things up when jay gets back. You do a bit of self-spoiling with Jay's card that he left with you.

Almost falling into complete bliss you were brought back by the vibrations of your phone. For a moment you all pause.

You nod grabbing your phone to answer.
Jay: y/n! Were you sleeping? Sorry if I woke you I just missed you.
Trying to hold yourself together you respond
Y/n: no..I wasn't sleeping j..just watching a movie.
Jay: are you okay you sound shaken up and out of breath.
Y/n: I..im fine it was a scary movie so in a bit shaken up..
He's starting laughing releaved of his worry
Jay: well as long as your okay. I'll call you in the morning on my way back. I love you good night!
Y/n: I..i love you too sleep well.
*call ends*
“Good girl,” Jake says starting to pick up his paste again.
“That's my girl you did so good” Heeseung praises Y/n kissing her on her chest.
They continue to plow into your holes filling them over and over again. You were sent overboard and already climaxed without realizing it.
“Fuck y/n in gonna cum” Jake grunts slowing down but still ramming into her until he climaxes on her lower back.
“Yeah I'm ‘bout tapped out too” Heeseung groans keeping his paste until right before he finishes he pulls out of y/n.
The boys gets up and clean themselves of and bring y/n her towel from earlier. Once they got dressed she tired to stand to walk them out but her legs were in so weak she couldn't walk.
“She got sea legs,” Jake whispers to Hee trying not to laugh.
“Shut up fool” Heeseung pushes him before he embarrasses her.
“Aye but if you ever want some more you know who to call” Jake bit his lip again before leaving the room and Heeseung follow behind him with a wink.
“Later y/n” Heeseung calls out before locking and shutting the front door.
After hearing them pull off you are too tired to even care about the mess you just fall asleep. It's not until the next morning do you realize the mess you've made. It's too late Jay is already home you can hear him downstairs. You stumble out of bed just to see the mess had already been cleaned up.

VR observations, 10 months in
I've been a game dev for 10 months now. It's pretty great, I'm enjoying it a lot, I get to spend my days doing crazy shader shit and animations and voxels and visual effects. Hopefully the game that will come out of all this will be one people enjoy, and in any case I'm learning so much that will eventually come back to the personal ~artistic~ side of things. I can't talk about that game just yet though (but soon it will be announced, I'm pretty sure). So this is a post about other games.
Mind you, I don't actually play very many VR games, or games in general these days, because I'm too busy developing the dang things. but sometimes I do! And I think it's interesting to talk about them.
These aren't really reviews as such. You could project all sorts of ulterior motives if it was. Like my livelihood does sorta depend on people buying VR headsets and then games on them. This is more just like things I observe.
Headsets
The biggest problem with VR at the moment is wearing a headset for too long kinda sucks. The weight of the headset is all effectively held on a lever arm and it presses on your face. However, this is heavily dependent on the strap you use to hold it to your head. A better balanced and cushioned strap can hold the headset still with less pressure and better balance the forces.
The strap that comes with the Quest 3 is absolute dogshit. So a big part of the reason I wouldn't play VR games for fun is because after wearing the headset for 30-60 minutes in the daily meeting, the absolute last thing I'd want to do is wear it any longer. Recently I got a new strap (a ~£25 Devaso one, the low end of straps), and it's markedly improved. It would probably be even better if I got one of the high end Bobo straps. So please take it from me: if you wanna get into VR, get a decent strap.
I hear the Apple Vision Pro is a lot more comfortable to wear for long periods, though I won't have a chance to try it until later this month.
During the time I've been working at Holonautic, Meta released their Quest 3, and more recently Apple released their hyper expensive Vision Pro for much fanfare.
The Quest 3 is a decent headset and probably the one I'd recommend if you're getting into VR and can afford a new console. It's not a massive improvement over the Quest 2 - the main thing that's better is the 'passthrough' (aka 'augmented reality', the mode where the 3D objects are composited into video of what's in front of you), which is now in full colour, and feels a lot less intrusive than the blown out greyscale that the Quest 2 did. But it still has some trouble with properly taking into account depth when combining the feeds from multiple cameras, so you get weird space warping effects when something in the foreground moves over something in the background.
The Vision Pro is by all accounts the bees knees, though it costs $3500 and already sold out, so good luck getting one. It brings a new interaction mode based on eye tracking, where you look at a thing with your eyes to select it like with a mouse pointer, and hold your hands in your lap and pinch to interact. Its passthrough is apparently miles ahead, it's got a laptop tier chip, etc etc. I'm not gonna talk about that though, if you want to read product reviews there are a million places you can do it.
Instead I wanna talk about rendering, since I think this is something that only gets discussed among devs, and maybe people outside might be interested.
Right now there is only one game engine that builds to the Vision Pro, which is Unity. However, Apple have their own graphics API, and the PolySpatial API used for the mixed reality mode is pretty heavily locked down in terms of what you can do.
So what Unity does is essentially run a transpilation step to map its own constructs into PolySpatial ones. For example, say you make a shader in Shader Graph (you have to use shader graph, it won't take HLSL shaders in general) - Unity will generate a vision pro compatible shader (in MaterialX format) from that. Vertex and fragment shaders mostly work, particle systems mostly don't, you don't get any postprocessing shaders, anything that involves a compute shader is right out (which means no VFX graph), Entities Graphics doesn't work. I don't think you get much control over stuff like batching. It's pretty limited compared to what we're used to on other platforms.
I said fragment shaders mostly work. It's true that most Shader Graph nodes work the same. However, if you're doing custom lighting calculations in a Unity shader, a standard way to do things is to use the 'main light' property provided by Unity. On the Vision Pro, you don't get a main light.
The Vision Pro actually uses an image-based lighting model, which uses the actual room around you to provide lighting information. This is great because objects in VR look like they actually belong in the space you're in, but it would of course be a huge security issue if all programs could get realtime video of your room, and I imagine the maths involved is pretty complex. So the only light information you get is a shader graph node which does a PBR lighting calculation based on provided parameters (albedo, normal, roughness, metallicity etc.). You can then instruct it to do whatever you want with the output of that inside the shader.
The upshot of this is that we have to make different versions of all our shaders for the Vision Pro version of the game.
Once the game is announced we'll probably have a lot to write about developing interactions for the vision pro vs the quest, so I'll save that for now. It's pretty fascinating though.
Anyway, right now I've still yet to wear a Vision Pro. Apple straight up aren't handing out devkits, we only have two in the company still, so mostly I'm hearing about things second hand.
Shores of Loci
A few genres of VR game have emerged by now. Shooting and climbing are two pretty well-solved problems, so a lot of games involve that. But another one is 3D puzzles. This is something that would be incredibly difficult on a flat screen, where manipulating 3D objects is quite difficult, but becomes quite natural and straightforward in VR.
I've heard about one such game that uses 3D scans of real locations, but Shores of Loci is all about very environment artist authored levels, lots of grand sweeping vistas and planets hanging in the sky and so on. Basically you go through a series of locations and assemble teetering ramshackle buildings and chunks of landscape, which then grow really big and settle into the water. You can pull the pieces towards you with your hand, and then when you rotate them into roughly the right position and orientation relative to another piece, they snap together.
It's diverting, if kinda annoying when you just can't find the place the piece should go - especially if the answer turns out to be that there's an intermediate piece that floated off somewhere. The environments are well-designed and appealing, it's cool to see the little guys appearing to inhabit them. That said it does kinda just... repeat that concept a bunch. The narrative is... there's a big stone giant who appears and gives you pieces sometimes. That's it basically.
Still, it's interesting to see the different environment concepts. Transitions have this very cool distorted sky/black hole effect.
However, the real thing that got me with this game, the thing that I'm writing about now, was the water. They got planar reflections working. On the Quest! This is something of a white whale for me. Doing anything that involves reading from a render texture is so expensive that it's usually a no-go, and yet here it's working great - planar reflections complete with natural looking distortion from ripples. There's enough meshes that I assume there must be a reasonably high number of draw calls, and yet... it's definitely realtime planar reflections, reflections move with objects, it all seems to work.
There's a plugin called Mirrors and Reflections for VR that provides an implementation, but so far my experience has been that the effect is too expensive (in terms of rendertime) to keep 72fps in a more complex scene. I kind of suspect the devs are using this plugin, but I'm really curious how they optimised the draw calls down hard enough to work with it, since there tends to be quite a bit going on...
Moss
This game's just straight up incredibly cute.

Third person VR games, where you interact with a character moving across a diorama-like level, are a tiny minority of VR games at the moment. I think it's a shame because the concept is fantastic.
Moss is a puzzle-platformer with light combat in a Redwall/Mouse Guard-like setting. The best part of Moss is 1000% interacting with your tiny little mousegirl, who is really gorgeously animated - her ears twitch, her tail swings back and forth, she tumbles, clambers, and generally moves in a very convincing and lifelike way.
Arguably this is the kind of game that doesn't need to be made in VR - we already have strong implementations of 'platformer' for flatscreen. What I think the VR brings in this case is this wonderful sense of interacting with a tiny 3D world like a diorama. In some ways it's sorta purposefully awkward - if Quill walks behind something, you get a glowing outline, but you might need to crane your neck to see her - but having the level laid out in this way as a 3D structure you can play with is really endearing.
Mechanically, you move Quill around with the analogue stick, and make her jump with the buttons, standard stuff. Various level elements can be pushed or pulled by grabbing them with the controllers, and you can also drag enemies around to make them stand on buttons, so solving a level is a combination of moving pieces of the level and then making Quill jump as appropriate.
The fact that you're instantiated in the level, separate from Quill, also adds an interesting wrinkle in terms of 'identification with player character'. In most third person games, you tend to feel that the player character is you to some degree. In Moss, it feels much more like Quill is someone I've been made responsible for, and I feel guilty whenever I accidentally make her fall off a cliff or something.
A lot is clearly designed around fostering that protective vibe - to heal Quill, you have to reach out and hold her with your hand, causing her to glow briefly. When you complete some levels, she will stop to give you a high five or celebrate with you. Even though the player is really just here as 'puzzle solver' and 'powerful macguffin', it puts some work in to make you feel personally connected to Quill.
Since the camera is not locked to the character, the controls are instead relative to the stage, i.e. you point the stick in the direction on the 2D plane you want Moss to move. This can make certain bits of platforming, like moving along a narrow ledge or tightrope, kinda fiddly. In general it's pretty manageable though.
The combat system is straightforward but solid enough. Quill has a three button string, and it can be cancelled into a dash using the jump button, and directed with the analogue stick. Enemies telegraph their attacks pretty clearly, so it's rarely difficult, but there's enough there to be engaging.
The game is built in Unreal, unlike most Quest games (almost all are made in Unity). It actually doesn't feel so very different though - likely because the lighting calculations that are cheap enough to run in Unity are the same ones that are cheap enough to run in Unreal. It benefits a lot from baked lighting. Some things are obvious jank - anything behind where the player is assumed to be sitting tends not to be modelled or textured - but the environments are in general very lively and I really like some of the interactions: you can slash through the grass and floating platforms rock as you jump onto them.
The story is sadly pretty standard high fantasy royalist chosen one stuff, nothing exciting really going on there. Though there are some very cute elements - the elf queen has a large frog which gives you challenges to unlock certain powers, and you can pet the frog, and even give it a high five. Basically all the small scale stuff is done really well, I just wish they'd put some more thought into what it's about. The Redwall/Mouse Guard style has a ton of potential - what sort of society would these sapient forest animals have? They just wanted a fairytale vibe though evidently.
Cutscene delivery is a weak point. You pull back into a cathedral-like space where you're paging through a large book, which is kinda cool, and listening to narration while looking at illustrations. In general I think these cutscenes would have worked better if you just stayed in the diorama world and watched the characters have animated interactions. Maybe it's a cost-saving measure. I guess having you turn the pages of the book is also a way to give you something to do, since sitting around watching NPCs talk is notoriously not fun in VR.
There are some very nice touches in the environment design though! In one area you walk across a bunch of human sized suits of armour and swords that are now rusting - nobody comments, but it definitely suggests that humans did exist in this world at some point. The actual puzzle levels tend to make less sense, they're very clearly designed as puzzles first and 'spaces people would live in' not at all, but they do tend to look pretty, and there's a clear sense of progression through different architectural areas - so far fairly standard forest, swamp, stone ruins etc. but I'll be curious to see if it goes anywhere weird with it later.
Weak story aside, I'm really impressed with Moss. Glad to see someone else giving third person VR a real shot. I'm looking forward to playing the rest of it.
...that's kinda all I played in a while huh. For example, I still haven't given Asgard's Wrath II, the swordfighting game produced internally at Meta that you get free on the Quest 3, a shot. Or Boneworks. I still haven't finished Half Life Alyx, even! Partly that's because the Quest 3 did not get on well with my long USB A to C cable - for some reason it only seems to work properly on a high quality C to C cable - and that restricts me from playing PCVR games that require too much movement. Still though...
Anyway, the game I've been working on these past 10 months should be ready to announce pretty soon. So I'm very excited for that.

Backstory:
☆MC: Redson
the demon bull family owns one of the best Restaurants in the entire city. Redson was the delivery boy there who was gonna take over the family business soon. one day when he was on his break his father told him to go and do one last delivery before they close the restaurant, there he ended up witnessing Mk and his crew trying to pick up a bow from a hill and since Mk wasn't a genius he had no idea how to lift it (for the record no one is sealed in that small hill) so then mk and the guys got bored and left giving Redson a chance to investigate.
redson was not a huge fan of the spider Queen's tales, the tales were about how the spider queen managed to become immortal and saved the world many times. everyone was worshipping the spider queen. although redson was not that big of a fan. and still he recognized that bow immediately and went over to investigate.
and yes he's still a genius but that's not his specialty. he treats everyone with respect even though he doesn't smile a lot. he does smile more often than og Redson though. he created a lens that helps him with aiming.
he still has the samadhi fire but unlike og Redson, the samadhi fire wasn't sealed away. he can control it well but doesn't like to use it to fight. whenever he gets emotional his hair turns blue so yin and jin started calling him "BB" or "Blue Boy" for fun.
☆DBK:
not much to say about him other then the fact he owns a restaurant that was run by his family for years. he's married to PIF and has a son. and let's not forget his hot temper. he loves his job and family. he's a really talented cook.
☆PIF:
PIF is a freeloader despite being married to the restaurant owner. DBK still makes her pay which as you can guess rarely happens. despite that she loves her family and tells her son many tales about the spider queen.
☆Jin and Yin:
they were friends with Redson since childhood. they're laid back and like to have fun. they like to play with Redson despite his busy schedule and the fact he doesn't ask for help and basically just does everthing himself, they make sure he takes a break every once in a while so he can rest and play video games with them. they are both dragons.
☆Spider Queen:
the spider queen is Redson's mentor unlike the Monkie king she puts time and effort into training Redson making sure to consider his health. she's a retired warrior who fought for centuries. despite her harsh training she treats Redson like her son and makes sure he's having fun while training which would make you think she doesn't take her mentoring seriously.
☆The Monkie Staff:(the staff MC uses)
"Spider bow" made from an ancient spider's silk that is nearly indestructible shots poisonous arrows depending on the users will, only the worthy ones can hold it (aka Redson)
it has poison that's powerful enough to kill people but also poisons for paralyzing your opponents temporarily. it's super dangerous and deadly that's why not everyone can wield it.
a secret power was later shown and discovered by Redson himself. the bow has the power to creat silk threads that are drenched in poison which only the user can choose. the one who wields the bow can control the thread at will, making him able to tie anyone up so they can't move even without any kind of poison.
the bow can also transform into a sword when necessary. mostly used for close-range combat
☆LBD:
she's basically the only calm one in the group. when she's with Redson she usually gives him advice and her advices give Redson inspirations and ideas that he uses to win his battles or better his training. when she's with the others she's mostly quite and takes care of them. if they feel down or discouraged she makes sure to take care of them and listen to their problems.
☆Mk:
Mk was raised and trained by Pigsy and Tang who he considers his parents. although he's not very smart, he's strong and thus Pigsy and Tang took him in to train him and use him how they see fit. he's constantly put under stress and does everything to make sure his parent figures don't find him weak or think he's a disappointment. they call him "the useless kid" and nearly hit him every time they get the chance.
he's later fed up with everyone and joins Redson who happily accepts him into the group after he proved that he's worth trusting.
☆Tang:
tang is quiet and is mostly the brain of the operations since he knows about the ancient artifacts that they steal. he studies the situation and gives everyone orders.
☆Pigsy:
he thinks of himself as a crime lord despite not being neither strong nor smart. he and tang started doing crimes ever since they met and even before that. has a short temper and yells at everyone (especially Mk) when he's mad which is often.
☆Mei:
she doesn't give a f*ck about anyone in the group and is basically here for the money. she's not a dragon and she was abandoned by her parents who considered her to be useless. she was about to be sold off to an old man but she was saved by mk, she then thanked him for the first and last time. after that, she didn't even acknowledge Mk's existence, but when she does she usually bullies him.
☆Sandy:
sandy is still against fighting here but that doesn't mean he can't be a crime lord. unlike pigsy he's an actual crime lord with connections. he has thousands of goons that protect him and do the dirty work for him. he doesn't care about pigsys group and just does his own work. he and tang are close friends and tang asks him for favors when he needs desperate help.
☆Monkie king:
he's a ruthless tyrant who does whatever he wants. he just wants to have fun and usually just burns villages to watch the people's terrified expressions. he also likes to torment Mk. tang and pigsy let him do that in exchange for favors which are mostly just him helping them with their dirty deeds.
☆Macaque:
(no one. until I find a nice character to take his role)

Wait, that was a stupid question. We already are. Then, my actual ask is, what's your favorite pass time? Like what do you do when ur not on Tumblr??
Let me think. Mostly play video games honestly. DS, 2DS XL, Switch and after I move I'll have my Wii U and GameCube to play games on.
I will sometimes draw and paint, most general art. I do write fanfiction and write stories I hope to be published one day. These are all pretty rare since ADHD and fatigue kick my butt most days.
I watch mostly YouTube as of right now. Typically the gaming side of things with like Markiplier, Call Me Kevin, RTGame, Alpharad, stuff like that, but I watch a variety of content.
I'm on my phone a lot. I mostly just check fandoms for my special interests like the Splatoon subreddit or scrolling on here. Or just checking news.
I'm in the process of moving rn so I've been busy organizing some stuff and putting stuff away.
The only show I really watch right now is Bluey just cause I'm a traumatized individual lol, but I'll get with my friend MA on call and we'll watch videos or shows together. Like, we're trying to watch the rest of The Owl House, but with her busy schedule and not getting home till like 9 pm my time, yeah, we don't really got time to do that.
It really does just boil down to mostly video games and watching something and focusing on taking care of my body since disabilities and unable to get help for em thanks to financial stuff and relying on my parents. So I pretty much just spend time in my room, chatting with my friend MA and my girlfriend, watching stuff which is whatever I feel like, playing video games, and working on the boxing stuff up part of moving when I can. I also love reading, but I have a lot of books I bought for my trauma so they can emotionally exhaust me 😅
My favorite past time is def video games and watching stuff that seems so cool to me. For instance, watching speed runs or Mario Kaizo stuff. Since my hands don't respond well, I could not do a lot of it though I do want to get into speed running one day, so I love watching these people do things I cannot do. I love commentary side of YouTube. I love video essays on stuff I would normally not care about or stuff I haven't thought about in a long time, especially when it comes to lore of pieces of media that I will never care about. I have a wide variety of games and game systems to play, I'll also often play with my friend MA when we get the chance. So those are definitely my favorites. Just doing stuff that lets me relax, turn off my brain, or watch something that will make me almost die of laughter. I've played video games since as long as I can remember, starting with like educational kids games on the computer before I could even read. So they've always been a big comfort for me and a big part of my life and I love to challenge myself now with them and explore a variety of different games.
One thing I wanna get back into is Legos at some point. I miss building with Legos and so probably for a holiday or something or if I can save up for it, I'll just buy myself a nice Lego set to build.
I rambled a lot cause my thoughts are very disjointed, but I hope that gave ya an idea of what I do. I mostly play on my switch these days since it's the easiest for my to access. With my set up in my room, it's difficult to play the Wii and GameCube without back problems or the Wii remote struggling with the sensor bar + I'm moving so I'm getting them packed away. And then for my DS's, it's just I don't keep em charged honestly 😅 though I am actually playing Leaf Green on my DS right now so yay, I finally charged one lol. But yeah, that's pretty much all I do :p with video games and YouTube being the most prominent. I also mostly talk to MA and my gf a lot of the time. They're both long distance so texting is our main way to communicate since we can't just like hang out. But yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm gonna stop now lol. It's basically just whatever I hyperfixate on most of the time.
Edit: Pffft, just remembered. I roleplay with MA a lot. Mostly just comfort roleplays for both of us. I used to roleplay a lot and even had an Envy (fullmetal alchemist brotherhood) roleplay account, but gave it up cause of how fandoms can be and just some personal reasons and anxiety around interacting with people. I do that about just as much, when MA is free of course.

Relationship Status: *crickets* None, I am very single and happy that way. I'm aro/ace, and that's lucky, really, because the amount of effort that seems to go into even a semi-successful relationship...I don't wanna.
Favorite Color: There are very few colors I don't like. Color combinations maybe, but actual colors are hard to narrow down. Purple, blue and red are maybe tied for first place? But green and yellow are so nice...
Favorite Food: That's even harder than colors! My favorite fruit right now is mango? They tend to cycle, I eat a lot of something until I'm sick of it and then I don't touch it for awhile.
Song Stuck in My Head: That rarely happens to me, maybe because if I'm not actively listening to something or busy doing something that requires silence, I have something instrumental playing in the background, generally just something off youtube.
Last Thing You Googled: "Would a Nurse Practitioner want a Pre-Med degree?" Writing research for the F&F fanfiction that is going to be my nanowrimo. There were a lot of different opinions on that, btw.

Dream Trip: I really don't know, maybe somewhere picturesque in Europe? If I didn't get seasick I'd say a cruise that stopped in a variety of places, but I do, and also you hear about cruise ships not being very clean a lot.

Favorite Thing to Cook/Bake: I've been using my grill a lot since our weather is weirdly good (in the 80's in the middle of October in Oregon is...odd), so right now I've been doing a lot of grilled peppers and onions with sausages or steak. There is something satisfying about cooking on a grill compared to a stove.
Favorite Craft to do in Free Time: My hands don't work quite right, some problems with small motor control and hand eye coordination that video games and having to learn how to light a lighter when I was a horrible stoner teenager helped a lot with (it took me like a year to learn how to light a lighter, and it was difficult for longer, my fingers just did not want to move like that), but crafting isn't really something I do because I get frustrated.
Most Niche Dislike: I really, really hate the smell of Campbell's tomato soup, the condensed kind. It was my sister's favorite food in the entire world when we were kids and the smell would fill up the house and make me wanna gag. It smells like they coated the tomatoes in metal. I like tomato bisque soup and really any kind of tomato soup that isn't that just fine.
Opinions On Circuses: If it were possible for the animals in a circus to truly be well cared for and have a good quality of life, that'd be great, but it's pretty impossible. The one time I went to a circus as a kid, it was okay, but then my mom took us over to ride the elephants...there was something very depressing about it, and we left without riding anything.
Do You Have Any Sense Of Direction: God, no. It's gotten slightly better over the years, but that just means that the trick of 'I think I should go right, 99% chance then that it's actually left' that I used as a kid no longer works.

I am... short. and squishy. (she/they by the way!) my hair is black, super curly, very wild and it barely touches my shoulders. I've got lots of dark dots all over my body, but they kinda look like freckles on my face I'm I won't complain, I guess. I like writing poetry and nonfiction a whole lot and I like video games. (Kinda a weeb?? but a very quiet weeb to be certain.) sort of strange, but I like to watch those 2-hour long video game documentaries and read medical oriented books. They are very interesting if you give them a chance! I'm an introvert who really likes to be around people, if that makes sense. Like I love to talk and everything, but I just get a little tired out, y'know? I asked my friends what they thought of me, and they said that I was gentle and very friendly and smart but that I scared them with the random stuff I knew. As far as, like, flaws go, I am realllly paranoid about murders, kidnappings, home invasion, that kind of stuff. To the point where I keep a knife under the pillow paranoid. In fact, I'm awake right now to distract from that :D One more thing, an ideal date would probably be one to see a musical and go to a nice dinner afterward so we would have something interesting to talk about. Or a library date. Both works.

idk what to expect on this round. I am hearing that bethany is rallying the non-women again and staining my name that I did pushed aj and trinica that much on idol hint. Wth! I would never respect that move. But good for you. Now you are givigng me much time to think and a fire to probably play the game still til the end.
Raffy prob is neutral on which way he wanna go with either bethany’s story or i.
Brandi profess that she wanna work with me and she thought jayjay would love too. Jayjay is so welcoming on me and said the same way that she wants me to stay on the game and she is skeptical about bethany and that it make sense she is saying she is like pulling all the ladies again in this new tribe and on her own words she said, “let vote bethany out the first time we will get a chance.”
Hairie, i am still in doubt of him. Idk where he is on this thought process but i told him my truth may it be wrong or not but i am not lying to what i felt is right. 😅
Tyler hopefully he is still on my side. He told me that bethany was caught on the act when she confirm that there is a non-men alliance when tyler was confronted her lying that jinx leaked that information.

I really want Julia to be the gesturer. I think in the music video, Julia showed everyone that she communicates well with actions by giving us nice clean movements.

I told Julia that it's either one of us should be the gesturer. So I nominated her in the GC and seems like everybody is on board with it. I'm just so afraid that if one of the rest of them would gesture, they might throw the challenge by confusing us. So I really need to try hard and guess what Julia is trying to act. Just in case they want to throw a challenge, to even out the numbers.

These advantages/disadvantages are really killing us. We came so close to winning charades!! Julia honestly did an amazing job, and I told her that she doesn't deserve to go home after that performance. I hate to send Arvin home, but I'd feel awful sending Julia home after how well she did.
There are no more idols to be found in the game anymore, which is nerve-wracking. Arvin or Julia could very well have one, so this next vote is going to be tricky. And I'm assuming we've as well as lost the next challenge because AJ and I both landed us with 10% disadvantages. It's not looking good for Hidra (but when is it ever...?)

So bad news and even worse news lmfao. We lost the challenge, all idols in the fucking idol hunt have been found, and now idol hunt is closed. Which means we're probably losing up till and into the merge. I can only hope the other tribe has a bunch of disadvantages. We're most likely going into the challenge after next with a net 20% disadvantage unless someone was able to find something. I have my 10% AD at any time, but I will not be using it when we'll still be in the negative and probably still lose.
This next challenge is going to be a 24 hours challenge. What does that mean for AJ? If you guessed zero sleep, you'd be correct!! No matter what it is I'm going to do my absolute best to get us to win it. We NEED a break at some point, honestly, and if it weren't for the advantages we would have won that last challenge. Being on a losing streak isn't fun, but we'll get through it. We always do.

I have no idea how Julia and Arvin still trust AJ after that last flip, but here we are. Hello World.
What a shaky Tribal we had on Sunday. We were still strategising by the initial tribal time - thank god it was delayed. The feeling of having my name out there is a feeling I did not enjoy. If anything had gone wrong I would have gone home. The game is getting harder. I started this game confident in my gut feeling but even though I've never been on the wrong side of the vote I can feel my anxiety rising.
I'm grateful for the alliances I've built here and over on the other tribe but the game is getting harder. You do genuinely connect with some of these people and it starts to creep into your heart when you choose to vote them out. We're voting Julia out today and even though I initially misunderstood her I've recently really connected with her on our mutual love for the WNBA. I'm sad. I do have to stay true to my word and loyal to my alliance. Still I'm sad.

monday, june 20th, 2022
cleaned a little bit today. not nearly as much as i should just enough to not be constantly bothered by how dusty things have gotten. still quite skittish over the big spider that escaped and wanted to drink right off the bat just so i could shower. but i had to get ready and also buy more food...so i just go in and squint while i do all my bathroom business. i don't wanna kill a guy i don't wanna encounter a guy
had to use my old phone for the first time in months because stupid tesco clubcard idiot thing not working have to validate with old number i don't have anymore whatever but it still worked on my old phone for some reason. another drink and play video games day when i got back. reeeally wanna start streaming again suddenly and i wanna make a really nice intricate vtuber avatar and setup n everything... looks real complicated though and my computer probably wouldn't be able to handle that stuff these days. of course i'm not even giving myself the chance to be able to figure that stuff out because i'm too busy lowering my iq and making a new runescape account for some damn reason

I don't like to post things about my past because I just wanna have fun but I'm fucking pissed and I think they will blame it on me because they are incapable of seeing their own shit so after having to listen to them constantly judge everything I enjoy about life while simultaneously not being there for me ever I will write my side here. First off my dad has sabotoged any friendship I've had ever since I was 4 and my best friend and I played around him. Maybe we did something gay idk but from then on it was angry dad all the time. any time I let down my guard even if I manipulated him into having fun by baiting him mansplain some boring shit to me for hours he would suddenly realize he was enjoying himself and punish me as if to say this is serious business and it's my fault for getting him to let loose. He only ever had something critical to say if I showed him my passions, like my siblings would have done better etc. He never rewarded accomplishments and if he promised to, he'd either find an excuse to go back on it or just outright break his promise. He would adopt stray boys and then make comments like "I wish you worked like he did. If only he was my son." Then the older guy would be physical with me in my house and my dad would let him because he thought it would make me tough. I mean c'mon. I played with toy tools and tractors. I wanted to be just like him. Period. Wife and everything, even if I did have my boyfriends. until he beat me into submission and then blamed me for being submissive. I wanted to win, I wanted to be myself like he did when he left his dad but he can't see that at all. It made me hate him so i avoided everything he stood for. When i look at his sons, the first one turned out alright but he's still half the asshole dad is. The next one is even nicer, but a total pussy. The next one is a bottom addict who pimped me out for years and then called me a whore when I was done, just like his dad. then it's me so while no one gave me credit because they say they got beat more than me, it makes me wonder if maybe dad just sucked more and more with time. The beatings were never the problem it was that he wanted to father me without the effort without being in the same country. No love nothing just his bullshit. On the plus side that guy he let bully and rape me got shot robbing our house. Hilarious. And dad will never know just how much he sucks because he surrounds himself with people he has scared into their little boxes. I hope he shits on them for conforming and for not conforming enough until he dies. He hasn't learned to change in all these years, only committed to the grindy ratwheel no one cares about that is the bible and jogging. When he ditched me at 15, he only called years later to tell me he was using me as a dependant on his tax forms. I gave him plenty of chances to show me the mercy I was required to show him but he thinks he can use the parable of the prodigal son and the verse about gays going to hell to stop me from doing something of equal caliber on the evil scale as everything he has and continued to do. Who knows, he probably still has some thirsty girlfriend of color to coddle him when the harsh truths of reality catch up to his white bitches. I would really like to go on but I'm sure I'll remember the rest of my rage later and I wanna play some video games.

"I'm home!" Rindou slammed the door shut, taking off his shoes. "Welcome home honey!" A voice came from the living room that was NOT Ran's voice. "Oh you gotta be fuckin' kidding me..." Rindou muttered as he recognised the voice instantly.
"Who was that?" You asked as you stood behind Rindou, also in the process of taking off your shoes. Rindou ignored you, walking into the living room to see Sanzu Haruchiyo himself laying on his couch as if he was some fuckin' mermaid.
"Get the fuck out," Rindou said harshly, glaring at him. "Wow! I can't even stay over for dinner." Sanzu feigned injury by putting his hand over his heart, pouting as his eyeline traveled to you who was just entering the living room.
"Y/N!" He jumped off the couch and hugged you. The impact was a little forceful and you stumbled backwards a little bit before composing yourself, putting your arms around him, "HI HARU!"
Rindou rolled his eyes, ignoring the scene that's right infront of him. "Where's Ran?"
"Store." Sanzu stretched, "I was over when you texted him asking for him to make more food, so he ran to the store." He explained, grabbing your hand and dragging you over to the couch, "Wanna play a video game?"
You nodded, "Sure, which one?"
Sanzu pointed to the box next to the TV stand, "Go pick, I guarantee you, I'll murk you either way," You let out an airy chuckle before standing up and bending over to the TV stand, going through the box of games to see which one you feel like you could have a chance to win at.
Sanzu sent a look to Rindou who just scowled at him, walking over and past the TV to block you from Sanzu's eyeline, "Why were you even here? Don’t you have business with Mikey or something?”
”Mikey?” You asked, standing up and handing Sanzu the video game.
He inspected it, “Yeah, Mikey is my best friend,” you could practically see the hearts in his eyes as he said this.
“Mikey is my boss y/n-,”
”-Our boss.” Sanzu cut off Rindou, “I’m his number two y/n.” His smile was wide, showing off his teeth as he kept on rambling on about Mikey and how awesome he is. You thought it was adorable the way his scars stretched out as he smiled. You started to wonder, how he even got those scars to begin with. Would it be insensitive to ask?
"Sanzu, can I ask you something potentially insensitive?" You cut him off and he shrugged, "Go for it."
"How did you get those scars?" You reached out and pointed on his face.
"Mikey gave em to me." Your eyes widened, "Anyway back to topic, as Mikey's number 2-"
Rindou just scoffed, picking up the videogame out of the case and inserting it inside the player. "Um Rindou, what do you think you are doing?" Sanzu raised his eyebrow as he spoke.
"Playing the game?"
You moved your head back and forth as they spoke to each other.
"I don't remember inviting you to play with me and y/n." Sanzu reached over and snatched the controller out of Rindou's hands and handing it to you.
"I don't remember inviting you to my house to begin with." Rindou rebuted with a scowl on his face.
"It's okay, I can just watch you guys-"
"I don't need your permission to be here. Ran invited me." Sanzu narrowed his eyes as he spoke to Rindou.
Rindou was about to respond till the front door opened. "Back." Ran said, as he entered the kitchen, putting the bag on the table before making his way to the living room. "Oh hello there," he winked at you and you sent him a wave.
Your mind travelled back to the last time you were here, remembering Rindou had a dog. "Rin, where's your dog?" You asked, looking around the living room with no trace of it."Sanzu hates our dog so he made us put her in the backyard till he left." Ran said, taking off his jacket.
"You're scared of dogs?" You asked Sanzu and he shook his head. "It's not a matter of me being scared of them, it's a matter of them hating me."
"Well look at your face, of course it'll be scared." Rindou answered sarcastically earning a dramatic gasp from Sanzu which made you laugh. "Y/N! You're meant to be on my side!" He pouted and you shrugged before turning to look up at Rindou, "Can I play with the dog?"
He nods and you smiled excitedly, hopping off the floor and opening the backdoor to see the dog laying on its side as if it was asleep. You approached the dog, kneeling next to it as you rubbed it's stomach, "Hi baby," you said in a high voice as it stood up, as if it was excited to see you.
Sanzu watched from the window in awe as he watched the interaction, "How many times has she been over for the dog to love her this much?"
"Like once," Rindou said and Sanzu gasped loudly again. Ran scoffed, rolling his eyes, "I'm gonna cook now."
Everyone nodded at Ran and he made his way over to the kitchen. Moments later, you reentered the living room with the dog in your hands. "She's heavy." You said, placing the dog down on the floor. It automatically jumped on you and you were laughing as you rubbed it's sides.
Cute. Rindou thought. "Sanzu you try pet it."
Sanzu looked scared, remembering the last time he even approached the dog it almost bit his hand off. "No, I'm good thanks." There was a look on Sanzu's face that looked almost terrified. The dog whipped it's head to face Sanzu and he yelped, thinking it was going to attack him again.
"Fuckin' wuss," Rindou muttered before sitting down on the couch, grabbing the controller, "Hurry up so I can beat your ass in front of Y/N." He handed Sanzu the other controller. You placed the dog on your lap and turned to face the TV as the video game started up.
"Watch and learn Y/N," Sanzu smirked at you as he chose his avatar. Rindou was waiting impatiently as Sanzu took the time to actually design his avatar, cringing when he made the hair colour pink. "Can you hurry up?"
"Patience is a virtue Rinrin." Sanzu says, eyes narrowing as if he was in deep concerntration as he adjusted the height of his avatar. Then he moved onto the face, chosing the eyeshape and size carefully and Rindou groaned loudly causing you to laugh, "It doesn't matter waht your fuckin' character looks like. He will be covered in blood by the time I'm done fighting you."
You giggled at their interaction and Rindou acted like the sound wasn't music to his ears. "Ok done, your turn," Sanzu pressed confirm on his avatar and Rindou just selected the default character before starting the match. It has been 2 minutes so far and Rindou won the first match, a smug look on his face as Sanzu started to spam the buttons with random moves.
Smug look turned scowl as Sanzu's spamming technique worked. You were watching, entertained as Sanzu kept punching Rindou's character over and over again until GAME OVER appeared on Rindou's screen. "Fuck you pinkie," Rindou tossed the controller on the couch, clearly pissed.
"Don't hate me cause you suck." Sanzu stuck his tongue out, "Y/N wanna try?"
"I don't know," you said, fingers still petting the dog as it laid on your lap, clearly enjoying your presence.
"I'll go easy on you, promise."
You sighed, lifting the dog up and stood up to your full height, grabbing the controller. Rindou snaked his arm around your waist, bringing down onto his lap facing the TV, "Let me teach you how to play." Your face heated up as the sudden close proximity and the words failed to leave your mouth so you just nodded.
Rindou brought his fingers over yours, explaining which button meant kick, punch and dodge. You nodded, studying each button as he explained. "To do a combo, you just press this and that one at the same time."
"Okay."
He pulled away, but still kept you on his lap as the dog walked over to you and laid by your feet. "Ready?" Sanzu asked, bringing his feet up onto the couch to avoid the dog at all costs.
"Yeah, i'm ready."
"Wanna design your avatar?" He asked and you nodded. Sanzu pressed exit and start new match, selecting his already predesigned avatar. You selected the female option and started to take your time aswell to design it causing Rindou to scoff, "You two spend more time designing than playing."
"Losers don't get opinons Rin," Sanzu shushed him as he watched you press confirm on your avatar.
"Just cause you're a girl doesn't mean I wont beat your ass ok?" Sanzu said smugly as he started the match. You rolled your eyes and started spamming random buttons, accidentally unlocking a new combo that Sanzu or Rindou have never seen before,
"WHAT?!" Sanzu yelled as his character instantly got K.O'd.
"YAY!" You cheered, holding the controller up in the air, "You were saying?" You turned to face Sanzu who just glared at you.
"Me and Y/N are a team," Rindou said, holding you closer to him. You snuggled into his side as he said this.
"Boy shut up. You're just saying this because she won ." You watched as the two started to argue again before the smell from the kitchen started to hit you. The aroma made your stomach growl loudly which shut the two boys up. "Don't laugh.." you said embarassed as you covered your stomach with both arms.
"Ran how much longer?!" Rindou yelled to the kitchen.
"Like 20." He responded and you could hear the sound of water running. He was probably doing the dishes.
"Well can Y/N get a snack or something? She's starving," your eyes widened and you were quick to shush Rindou, "It's fine Ran! I'll wait till you're done."
There was no response, instead you just heard the sound of a cupboard opening then footsteps. He stood in between the hallway and the living room, tossing a packet of strawberry flavoured pocky into your lap. "Oh.. thank you." You smiled and he nodded, making his way back to the kitchen.
"Let's play another one y/n, I'm not happy with my loss." Sanzu admitted, handing you the controller.
"Can you not see she's eating?" Rindou grabbed the controller from Sanzu, "I'll verse you again."
Sanzu nodded and you watched as you pulled a stick out and started to chew on it. Rindou seemed to be really into this match this time, cause his entire focus was on the screen as if he was determined to beat Sanzu.
Sanzu on the other hand was spamming random buttons to try and win, like usual. Your gaze travelled down to the dog who was watching the screen with it's tongue out. You grabbed the pocky packet, checking the ingredients making sure none of it's harmful to the dog before pulling out a stick and holding it infront of the dog.
The dog got up suddenly, causing Sanzu to flinch (again) and resulted in him losing his focus, allowing Rindou to slam him to the ground and win the match. "Fuck." Sanzu cursed as Rindou cheered. "Thank you Cleo," he staked his arm around the dogs side, patting it twice.
"The dogs name is Cleo?" You asked, and Rindou nodded watching as you were holding the pocky out for the dog as it chewed on it before biting it and lifitng it off your hand. Some of the dogs saliva was on your spare hand so you stood up, "Where's the bathroom?"
"Upstairs." Sanzu responded, scrolling on his phone with a visible pout on his face from losing. Making your way upstairs, there were 3 rooms. One you recoginsied last time as Rindou's room, the other was either the bathroom or Ran's room.
Taking a risk, you walked down the hallway, opening the first door you saw, hoping it was the bathroom.
"You asked her out yet?" Sanzu asked now that you were out of sight. Rindou shook his head, "Too early for that. We only met 2 months ago."
"2 months?" Sanzu said, eyebrows raised, "Seems longer,"
"It's ready." Ran called out from the kitchen, drying his hands.
After everyone eats, you're all back in the living room, except Sanzu is showing you how to play this very very confusing battle royale game. You were watching as he explained everything to you and Rindou and Ran were sat on the couch. Cleo was on Ran's lap as he fed her the left over food he had made. Rindou seemed to have zoned out, deep in thought before he was just looking down at his lap.
Ran nudged Rindou with his shoudler, causing him to look up. "You good?" Ran asked and Rindou nodded, "Yeah, why?"
"You seem out of it."
"Just thinking,"
"About what?" Ran asked him, patting the dog on top of the head before it hopped off his lap and walked down the hallway.
Rindou shrugged, his eyes shifting over to you and Sanzu, hating the way both of your knees were touching each other as you both sat next to each other. Hating the way his fingers touched yours as he explained. Hating the way you were smiling when he made a joke.
"Y/N, I'll drop you home." He stood up abruptly, "it's getting late."
You brought your phone out of your pocket and saw the time read 9:34PM. It was pretty late.
"Who's that?" Sanzu asked, pointing at the notification on your screen, the name reading Akira.
Rindou made his way over to you and peeked at your phone screen. The message from Akira asking 'You up?'
Who the fuck...
"He's my friend," you put your phone into your coat pocket, "I met him during one of my lessons and he helped me when you were away."
Oh.
Rindou nodded, before grabbing your hand and leading you to the door as you put your shoes on, "I'll be back in like 10 minutes."
Sanzu and Ran waved goodbye to you as Rindou led you outside and onto his bike. "Hold on tight ok?"
Nodding, you stepped onto the bike, sitting right behind him as you wrapped your arms around him and dug your face into his back. The ride was pretty short, since you both live near each other and he watched from the end of the road as you waved goodbye at him before entering your front door.

Author’s Note: Yes I'm posting on Thursday, no this is not smut lol just some fluffy goodness to help you all through your week
“You have got to be kidding me!" You exclaimed as soon as you stepped out of the convenience store.
Pulling out of the parking lot was your band’s tour bus, completely oblivious that you were not onboard. The worst part was your cell phone and all your belongings, except for the bag of chips and a soda you’d just purchased and about $2.64 in change, was on the bus as well.
“Was that your bus?” You heard someone ask behind you. Turning to look, you saw Gerard and Ray walking out of the convenience store.
“Yea! And I don’t have my phone or money or anything!” You exclaimed. “I’m so screwed!”
“Happens to the best of us,” Ray laughed lightly.
“You would know,” Gerard said sheepishly before turning to you. “We may have forgotten Ray a few times back in the day. Come on.”
“What?” You felt like your ears had failed you.
“Unless you wanna stay here in… wherever the fuck we are,” Gerard laughed.
“Oh hell no,” you shook your head and followed the musicians.
You had yet to see the inside of My Chem’s bus. Your manager had been very clear about giving Gerard, Ray, Mikey, Frank and Bob their space. They were the main event, you were just the opening band, and you were to remember your place, pay your dues, so to speak, and not be a pain in the ass to anyone. But of course, the guys from My Chem had been nothing but gracious and kind to you and your bandmates whenever they got the chance to hang out and talk to you, but sadly that wasn’t often as you'd like, as they were so busy.
“Picked up a straggler,” Ray announced as you climbed up the steps into the front lounge of their bus.
“Hey (YN),” Mikey nodded, glancing up from the comic he was reading.
“Hey, thanks for letting me come aboard!” You winced. “That sounded so dumb.”
Frank snickered. “That sounds like something Gerard would say.”
You glanced over at Gerard, whose cheeks had a hint of pink across them, and you were certain it was the cutest thing you’d ever seen.
“Shuddup,” he muttered under his breath.
“We couldn’t leave you behind!” Ray smiled at you.
"I appreciate it!"
After borrowing their tour manager’s phone to call your manager to let them know where you were, you settled in on the couch with the cursed snack that caused you to be left behind. Ray and Frank had gone in the back to play video games and Mikey continued reading, You had yet to see Bob, so you assumed he was asleep in his bunk, or just being himself and avoiding everyone. You were curious what Gerard was up to when he came out from the back, a backpack in hand.
“Hey,” he said, sitting down on the opposite end of the couch from you. “Bored yet?”
“A little,” you laughed lightly. “I wish I had the book I was reading or something. What are you doing?”
Gerard held up the sketch book he had pulled out of his bag. “Drawin,” he replied.
“Oh cool style. Do you just do that for fun, or are you working on a project?”
“I’m working on a comic. I dunno if anything will happen with it, but I have an idea I wanna explore. Do you wanna see?” He asked. He sounded a little nervous.
“Sure,” you nodded, sliding closer to him, so you could see his drawings better and Gerard put his arm over the back of the couch so you could move in closer. He was so enthusiastic about getting to describe his characters, the world he was building for them, and what he wanted to have happen in the story. It was fascinating just to watch him talk, but he was also wonderful to have a conversation in general with as well.
Somewhere along the way, between talking about your how you spent your summer vacations back when you were in school and your current dreams for the future, Gerard’s arm slid down from resting on the back of the couch, to over your shoulders and you tried to contain how much that thrilled you as you moved in a little closer to him. You were so lost in the moment that you didn’t even notice Mikey getting up and wandering deeper into the bus. If you would have looked up, you would have seen him roll his eyes, and shake his head as he left. You also didn’t notice the bus was slowing down.
“Ya know, I think I’m actually really glad that my bus left me behind,” you said softly.
Gerard nodded. “I am too. I’ve been wanting to spend more time with you, but everything is so busy, I haven’t gotten the chance.”
“Really? Me?”
“Yea,” he nodded. “I mean if you wanna spend time with me.”
“Yea, I want that,” you whispered when you realized that you and Gerard were somehow even closer now.
“Can I kiss you?” He asked, noses brushing as he rested his forehead against yours.
“Yes please.” The words were barely out of your mouth when his lips met yours, ever so gently, but more intently as you moved together. His hand that was wrapped around your shoulders slipped down so it was on your waist as you grabbed at his t-shirt while the kiss deepened.
“What the hell is going on?”
You and Gerard jumped apart like a couple of school kids being caught under the bleachers by a teacher.
“Why are we stopped?” The manager called up to the driver, and you realized that his concern was regarding the bus, not you and Gerard.
“Traffic is at a stand still,” the driver called back. “Radio is saying an accident up ahead has all lanes blocked, so we’ll be delayed, but we’ll still be there before the show tomorrow.”
“Looks like you’re stuck here tonight,” the manager said to you before retreating to the back to inform the rest of the guys..
“I guess I better get comfortable on the couch,” you rolled your eyes.
“Umm,” Gerard started, and you glanced over at him. “Not to be too forward, but you could share my bunk if you’d like. If not that’s ok, you can just take it, I can sleep out here.”
“You’re so sweet, but I’m not going to put you out. I will however take you up on your offer,” you smiled.
Gerard grinned, getting up, and offering you his hand before leading the way back to his bunk.
