there's multiple points in minthara’s early scenes you can talk about her relationship w fear + "being a survivor" + she confidently declares here that she understands her fear + IS a survivor
but in her confession scene she wants to be more than a survivor, to you, because she loves you. something about survival is a point of pride when its all u have ETC. etc. etc. but love makes you want more.
thinking so much about the cycles of abuse typical of lolth culture & as specifically described by minthara and then this specific term of “survivor” and wanting to be more than that to someone she cares abt. like.
her mother is always on my mind because that is generational abuse where ur mother protects you and harms you both and it’s every poem about mothers ever.
like in all the glitter and sexiful women of drow depictions i think ppl sometimes miss the passages where its specifically described that drow are trapped in an abusive cycle w lolth (from the 3.5 drows of the underdark)
u see this in depiction of viconia (bg2 version) & minthara where they, despite continuing to be harsh women have this fear they use as a weapon as much while never flinching and never letting it hinder them and idk i like women characters so much when their pasts of trauma do not make them into soft or kind ppl. they are survivors but also more than survivors if you give them a chance.
"she's being cruel to herself here" like ! how many ppl do u know full of trauma who blame themselves because they’re strong people, they’re not weak so how could they put themselves in that position? sick.
the themes of abuse and what you do with what people made of you is so well done in bg3 to me.

➷ You explained Albedo the rules as best as you could, ignoring the freezing wind nipping at your skin.
➷ Albedo didn't mind games, he played with Klee all the time. And when you said; 'The loser is delcared when they break the stick, or gets kissed by the opponent' Hah, giving you a small reward doesn't sound so bad~
➷ So, you placed the stick in between your teeth, pointing at the other hand excitedly for your boyfriend who wasted no time and joined you
➷ You were struggling, specifically because of the weather. No matter how close you were to the torch, you could be standing on it and still freeze to death. And since you were shivering a lot, that made the treat move around, the fragile stick nearly breaking.
➷ Still, you were determined to NOT lose. So you sucked it up and slowly chipped your way to his lips, not realizing you were close to kissing him.
➷ Noticing how cold you are (and how you're about to win), he pulled you into his arms while taking a large chunk of the stick, a sly smirk evident on his face when you began to panic over the close proximity between you and him.
➷ You lost when you absentmindedly took a much bigger bite than just chipping a tiny bit, your nose grazing against his. And at that touch, you instinctively broke the stick by biting down on it and turning away to hide your blushing face.
➷But Albedo's not gonna have that so he just pulled you in and simply kissed you on the lips, affectionately holding your warm cheek.
➷ "It seems we have a winner. But I am unable to taste the treat flavouring's... would you mind if I steal another taste from your lips?"

➷ Dawwww idk if you being excited was cuter or him accepting immediately is more cute.
➷He wouldn't really try to win, his bad luck can just automatically make him lose anyway. But since you'd probably get upset if he didn't try, it wouldn't hurt to look like he's trying to win.
➷ So there you guys sat under the large tree of Windrise, a stick in your mouths and chipping away at the treat, slowly inching your way to his mouth.
➷ But then you'd chicken out. About 6 rounds in.
➷ Bennett thinks it might be his bad luck doing this, because you kept breaking the stick instead of kissing him (which he at least wanted since he wouldn't win anyway), and this was the last pockey stick you had.
➷ Well, good things come to those who don't wait around. Too bad that doesn't work for him.
➷ So right before you could even break the stick, it was his turn. What he did was this; Take a huge bite foward and headbutt you instead of actually connecting lips with you.
➷ You fell backwards, into the water as you were both playing close to Windrise's river. Bennett obviously panics and attempts to rescue you despite the river's being shallow. You got slapped in the face by 5 fish tails but you were eventually 'rescued'.
➷ This was pretty normal honestly, but you weren't mad... The reason your face is red was because you failed to kiss him again because he headbutted you.
➷ "I-I'm sorry about my luck, [Name]. We shouldn't have played so closely to the river of all places, that's my fault for being so careless... Huh? Why did I hit you? It wasn't on purpose!... U-Uhm... Ahaha, I guess you could say my plan kind of backfired?"

Diluc
➷ Obviously, he'd think this game is pretty childish. I mean... it's just kissing with extra steps.
➷ He was writing a letter in his mansion when the maids suddenly arrived with you in tow, excitedly asking him to play a game with you. He'd turn you down first, stating he's busy (it's just a letter Diluc smh). You still managed to convince him, saying 1 round only takes less than 30 seconds if both players aren't a bunch of cowards.
➷ He also cursed himself for choosing such a cute S/O.
➷ So, he decides to play just 1 round. He stands up and leans over the table while you happily planted the stick between your mouths.
➷ He's quite fond of spending time with you, it's hard to make time for you when he's pretty busy, working nearly 24/7. So, just an excuse to be with you juuuust a little longer, he took smaller bites.
➷ Normally, he's not a coward, obviously. But when your lips inched towards him ever so slowly, that bravery and confidence of his diminished into nothing. His face flared up, eyes looking everywhere but you, his small bites turning into lil' nibbles.
➷ You noticed, of course. The corner of your lips tugging into a smirk at how shy he looked, you wanna milk this situation a little more hehe~ You decided to nibble instead of biting now, he was much aware of you, and very much embarrassed.
➷ This one game was torturously slow, to know that your lips were so close, yet, so far away. He just wanted to bang his head on the table, he's kissed you several times, why does this game meant to kiss you be so... embarrassing?
➷ Eventually though, curiosity got the better of you, you bite the stick and moved foward, head tilted a little. And now, your noses were touching, lips barely close enough to graze eachother.
➷ At that point, he realized he was just craving for your lips. But in the heat of the moment, he breaks the stick off, much to your disappointment.
➷ He stutters as he tells you the game is over, you wanted one more game but Diluc just says maybe later. So, you sighed and prepared to leave. Noticing how sad you were, he decides; "Fuck it" and stood up from his chair, the chair legs scraping against dhe floor loud enough to make you flinch.
➷ To fulfill his desire, he held your cheeks and planted a rushed but passionate kiss on your lips, you nearly withdrew from the suddenness— but then you melted into it.
➷ "...A-Ahem, there. You may leave now, I still have matters to attend to... What's with that expression? I only promised one game. If you want more, you can return here at night."

➷ Instead of breaking away like usual, you decided to grow some balls and grab his shirt, pulling him foward to lock lips with yours. Victory was now yours, and your prize?
➷ A very long and steamy make out session between the two of you in his office. The puzzled guards outside could only hear shuffling, as he quickly pins you against the wall, a thin string of saliva connecting the tip of your tongue to his.
➷ All that riling up was worth it. Now, you're caged between his arms and the wall against your back, you've fallen to his unplanned trap. But you didn't mind spending a few extra... hours in here. Curtains closed and doors locked, of course.
➷ "What's wrong? Can't handle a simple little kiss? My, my, you've grown rather rusty in this, haven't you... Is it because I haven't been around lately? Aww, sorry love, i've just been doing a lot of unnecessary paperwork. Here, let me make it up to you; First, i'll remove that pesky clothing of yours, yeah?"

➷ You both let the child stay, the pharmacy was pretty empty at the moment since it was getting late. Perfect time to persuade him into a game of Pocky.
➷ He'd never let his beloved S/O down, so, as you'd expected; he agreed. But even for a little game he'd stall out time a bit more, asking you for a bit of help before finally playing a round with you. He likes making things... unforgettable. In a romantic way.
➷ So, picture this; You and Baizhu sitting on the steps of Bubu Pharmacy, the dark blue sky with a sea of shining stars, the gorgeous sight of Liyue Harbor nearby illuminated with golden lights.
➷ Qiqi sitting on your lap or beside you, drinking coconut milk and watching people stroll around Liyue Harbor while Changsheng rested peacefully around your lover's neck.
➷ You took a moment to just absorb the tranquil atmosphere, you forgot just how beautiful Liyue can be at night.
➷ As soon as you faced Baizhu, he already had the stick in between his lips, waiting for you with that charming smile of his. No tricks or jokes were played, just the two of you slowly inching towards eachother.
➷ Despite it being your turn, the two of you leaned foward together, sharing a loving kiss.
➷ "I thank you for stopping by... Seeing you truly makes my day, it makes any mortal's life worth living. I know our love will last just as long as immortality could."

Childe ⚠️ (I wrote this before deciding to put the Fatui, so just pretend like Childe is still in Liyue or smth lol)
➷ He thought those were chopsticks and when you took a bite he immediately tried to do the heimlich manoeuvre lol
➷ You explained to him that these were a new treat as well as the game's rules before you offered him one. He absolutely loved it and asked for another one— to which, you placed one in between your mouth and said "Come and get it" tauntingly.
➷ You challenged him, he's not gonna back down. His confused expression turned to a determined one, he was gonna win one way or another. You, on the other hand, got your competitive spirits turned up because of him.
➷ Unexpectedly, neither of you flinched at the touch of your lips, only declaring the other as the winner and quickly asking for one more round. None of you are gonna be the winner until the last bite. When it came to the last stick, both of you were just nibbling away an inch, until an imaginary light bulb went off above your head.
➷ You made your eyes half-lidded, placing a hand on his chest. Obviously, he jolted at your touch, but quickly gathered his composure. But when you slowly slid your hand down, you felt every bite he took grow harsher and harsher. Until he realized what you were doing.
➷ This is a way better prize than just a little kiss.
➷ You were both in his office, with you sitting on his lap, and that just allowed him to do absolutely anything to you. So he quickly broke the stick to turn you around, ignoring the fact that you won, and quickly pinning you from behind with your chest pressed against the table.
➷ Bent over and helpless, you realized what you had gotten yourself into. The harbinger's velvety laughter was heard right next to your ear, his gloved hands groping at your sides.
➷ His hand slowly glided down your sides, moving over to rub your thighs. A shiver ran down your spine as he plays with your clothing, staring down at you like a predator playing with it's prey. When a moan drew out from your lips after grazing a finger across a particularly sensitive area, that only fueled his hunger for you, and the desire to hear more.
➷ "You think just because you got the last bite means you're the winner?... Very well then, how about I give you your grand prize? Or should I say... my grand prize?"

➷ Chongyun surprisingly feels a little hesitant, afraid that the game itself could get him to pass out from getting flustered. How did you both start dating without him passing out from excitement every time he sees you??
➷ However, you had already requested Xiangling to make a mist flower flavour for him, even if it could taste bad for you. But you made it specifically for him! How could he decline your offer?
➷ Despite your protests saying that his safety and comfort is far more important, he continued insisting for one round. Sure, he's afraid, but he wants you to be happy. And if getting a kiss from you makes you happy then hell fucking yeah.
➷ It took about half the box before he could finally stop getting dizzy at the close proximity of your lips, he still shakes like a leaf, but at least he's not passing out anymore.
➷ So to at least make him a little more comfortable, you decided to just nibble the smallest inch you could for every round.
➷ He was thankful for your patience towards him, he thought he might've made you frustrated for not controlling his excessive yang energy.
➷ And it was worth it once he finally reached the end, eyes sealed shut as the two of you shared a very short, but nonetheless cute kiss together.
➷ Right before he passes out with you having to drag him back home, you took care of him after that, frantically apologising for making him faint.
➷ "A-Ah, there's no need to make a fuss about it, [Name]... I genuinely had a fun time, even if I felt a little stressed. N-Not that I disliked being so close to you!... I always feel better when you're around."

➷ Eventually, he agreed, informing Thoma that he would take a small break with 'The lord's beloved'. Now, you two are alone in the room with the blonde pyro wielder standing guard outside, ensuring you two are left undisturbed. What a wingman.
➷ He chatted with you first, it's not a rush after all, he enjoys sitting across from you and hearing you babble on about your day before coming to visit the elder Kamisato sibling. Sure, he's busy, but will always make time just for you.
➷ After making sure you're comfortable, he moves next to you and briefly examines the treat, amused when you picked [Flavor].
➷ He placed a hand on top of yours, enveloping your hand in his warmth. You placed the Pocky treat between your lips and leaned foward for him, allowing him to plant his mouth on the opposite end.
➷ You were shy at first, yes, but calmed down when he slipped his hand underneath your, holding your fingers in a careful manner. His thumb brushing against your fingers, soothing you.
➷ It was over before you know it, you weren't even sure who was the winner as you both leaned foward at the end together, sharing a deliciously sweet kiss.
➷ "Such a rich and sweet flavor... Or perhaps, your lips must've contributed to the taste? Ahaha~ Don't be so flustered, you truly are the sweetest being in the world."

➷ You needed to reassure him that Yae Miko had nothing to do with this. Unless you want to then you're l y i n g to him, but you're not in public so it won't give her any satisfaction since she can't see him suffer anyways.
➷ He took a taste test before hand, making sure it wasn't actually poisoned or anything. That fox has him very paranoid.
➷ One little nibble and he ate the whole stick, tail wagging left and right excitedly, his teal eyes sparkling happily. He looked so cute, you cooed at him, petting his fluffy golden hair affectionately while wiping away any cumbs on his smiling lips.
➷ Just to play and tease him a lil' bit, you lifted one pocky stick up and waved it in front of him. His eyes shined, ears twitching and tail swaying, asking you for it.
➷ You giggled and planted one end in his mouth before you took the other end. If the treat wasn't satisfying enough for Gorou, then receiving a lovely kiss from you just enhanced it drastically.
➷ After a couple more, the two of you cuddled, his cheek nuzzling yours.
➷ "Thank you for the treat, [Name]! It tastes absolutely amazing! Are you... perhaps— going to buy some more in the future? If you are, could we share it together? It'll greatly improve our morale and relationship!"

➷ You didn't have the heart to interrupt him, he looked so cute and you just let him ramble on before he realized he got off track.
➷ After an apology, you offered him one stick, letting him taste test. Of course, he absolutely loved it! So he asks for more, to which you proposed a game to.
➷ The winner has to buy more for the other! And that sure as hell motivated him enough to win. But you're just gonna let him win anyways, you don't want him to use Kuki's mora.
➷ Ya'll ever have those moments where you're both a little shy and super excited at the same time? Yeah, that's how he feels rn. He's a little shy at how close you were, but he's really excited to play a game with you.
➷ Of course, you let him win every round, with the first few rounds ending in him giving you a skittish kiss. Which soon turned into him giving you a biiiig smooch on the lips. 100% worth it!
➷ "Hah! I win! What did I tell ya', Babe? The One and Oni Itto never loses! But, hey, don't worry about it, let's call this is a draw, yeah?... ➷ For you, he'd gladly put his book down and go through with whatever nonsense you wanted to do with him. You're not annoying, thankfully, so he'd let some of your shenanigans slide. Seeing as this is just a quick harmless little game, he'll humour you.
➷ Once you grew flustered and broke of the stick, he became addicted to that reaction if yours and asked for another round.
➷ Ignore Kaveh's tantrum outside as you struggle to not break the stick whenever his lips were getting closed to yours, the way you hid your face whenever you did break it amuses him more.
➷ Eventually though, once the box was done, you didn't win a single round as you would just break the stick last minute. You've kissed him a dozen times, so why was kissing him this time so difficult?
➷ He then gave you his opinion on the treat, saying the taste could add some certain spice and got back to his book. But you stayed there for a couple of seconds, looking at the small empty box with an upset expression.
➷ It didn't take long for him to figure out why you're so sad... and he knew how to cheer you up, with the one thing that always made you smile the brightest.
➷ When you got up, he wrapped one arm around your waist and pulled you onto his lap, the other arm still holding the book with his eyes glued to the pages.
➷ He closed the book again and leaned in, eyes closed as he locks lips with yours. Your hands pressed up against his chest, feeling his muscular body keeping you warm.
➷ "There, you wanted that the whole time, didn't you? There's no need to be so shy, we've kissed multiple times before. We don't need a whole game revolved around the concept of our kisses or our relationship's intimacy... Though, I wouldn't mind playing it again sometime."

➷ Meh, why not. He shrugs his shoulders and pointed at his lips, allowing you to slip the treat into his mouth as you bit the other end.
➷ The tables have turned when you realized he was just staring at you plainly, unfazed by how close you were to him. When your noses were touching, all of a sudden— you're starting to regret this idea.
➷ You were the one who broke the stick, covering the lower part of your bright red face as you stammered out how bad of an idea this was and that you should leave now that you received his feedback. You begged him to not tell a single soul about this.
➷ Now he's the one pouting when you didn't reciprocate the kiss. He blocked your way, his tangerine coloured eyes staring at you in expectancy.
➷ It felt like a whole decade went by, just the two of you silently staring at eachother, and the sound of your heartbeat thumping loudly in your ears.
➷ He was kind of worried if he scares you enough to the point you actually turned into a statue. But when he placed a hand on your flushed cheek to ask if you're okay, your brain short-circuited and you quickly pecked his lips before fleeing.
➷ He stood there for a good minute, blinking slowly, before turning his head to your direction where you were gone. You were fast, he'll give you that.
➷ "[Name]?... Huh, maybe I should corner them a little more often. That blush on their face... no wonder they were incredibly persistent to play this game. Still, it seems like they didn't want to... stick around. Heheh. Heh. Heh."

➷ So the two of you played a couple games, most of which he happened to lose willingly because he wanted to smooch you on the lips. Can you blame him? You're so intoxicating, you could make him escspe all his problems with a single kiss!

➷ He didn't seem fazed about this at all, just went in to pick up a file left on the table. But he did criticise about the two of you being too ballsy, saying that anyone could come in and witness 'a traumatic event'.
➷ Kaveh actually threw a book towards the male, who caught it expertly. Before he yelled at the scribe to leave, to which he happily did after jabbing a teasing statement towards you two.
➷ He groaned, rubbing his temples in annoyance. You cooed at him softly, petting his silky blonde hair and giving him reassurance.
➷ Seeing as he was still tensed, you decided to pepper his face with lil' kisses. He giggled, before pulling closer, arms wrapped around your waist as he also began littering kisses all over your face
➷ Soon, those sweet little kisses turned into a very long and passionate make out on his bed, with you straddling his hips and his hands gripping your waist.
➷ When the two of you pulled away, you could feel the tent in his tight pants throbbing against your thigh, the arousing heat in your abdoment was just as unbearable.

➷ He'll have you sit on his lap (or on a spare chair) as he does his work, but he'll multitask and play the game with you while he's at it.

ive seen some very neat nameless ghoul ocs and decided to make my own :>
so meet pyre !! he's a fire ghoul turned quint ghoul, and is the ministrys dumbest little errand boy </3
more info below !!
SO !!! in my brain ive got like. two timelines going. there's my normal ghoul hcs (which, is what all my art is from unless otherwise stated) and then my like. pyre added au !! if that makes any sense,,,
pyre was summoned along side the 3.5 ghouls, and was sorta just meant to be a help-the-tour-ghouls ghoul. when dew was being transformed into a fire ghoul though, they needed to get the fire element from somewhere. so, they used Pyre, transferring all of his elemental power to dew, while dews water element burned away. (note that all that is purely in my pyre-added version, normally I think dew just went through a sort of standard ritual ! still rough on him, but no other sacrifices lmao)
the result of pyres element being taken sorta left him as a husk, as no element ghouls arent supposed to be a thing... this led to Omega sorta giving Pyre some of his quintessence, as he's like, a big strong ghoul who can do that or something idk lmao
but now he just runs errands around the ministry ! he's especially close with dew and omega as they have a kinda elemental attachment, but he is also a big fan of hanging with mountain ... he likes that mountain doesn't make him carry heavy stuff across the ministry ...

Thoughts on D&D alignments and BG3
Don't mind me, I just felt like spending my day off writing a philosophical essay about Baldur's Gate 3 and Dungeons & Dragons character alignments. I may or may not have been inspired by someone I admire here on tumblr. And by may, I mean yes, I was inspired by that. :) Everything that follows is my opinion as an experienced D&D player and dungeonmaster. My main motivations are being a 3.5 D&D nerd above all else, and wanting to educate others about a cool but misunderstood system in a game I love.

Character Alignments in D&D
Alignments in older versions of D&D were much less about the morality of a character's choices, and more about the confluence of a character's values (good vs evil) and loyalties (law vs chaos). There is long-standing recognition among many D&D players that these alignments are merely guides to help you create a fully realized character and encourage good role-playing. Just as it is widely acknowledged that all characters are capable of changing and capable of surprising anyone when faced with a situation, even themselves. Flexibility is not only implied, but highly encouraged in response to an event, because it enriches role-playing. It also encourages creativity when you're making a truly unexpected character because that character still needs to make sense in the world they are in despite being rare or unique among their kind. For example, how would someone become a chaotic evil druid when typical druids are neither chaotic nor evil? How does that influence their actions and decisions as a druid? The potential for rich backstories and truly unique characters can multiply when thinking about a character in terms of their alignment. The broader concept of categorizing characters to better understand them isn't new or unique to D&D either. See also: Carl Jung's Archetypes.
Alignments are supposed to guide role-playing decisions, not dictate them or pass judgment on a character's worth. In D&D, players are not supposed to know the alignments of the other players' characters, and in fact alignments are often withheld from the dungeonmaster (DM) as well to limit meta-gaming. When your character's alignment can be revealed as a creative surprise to the whole table upon confrontation with a game mechanic that exposes you? That's fun. I heard fun is the point of games, idk.
Character Alignments and BG3
In the spirit of not making things fun, BG3 character alignments have become broadly associated with moral judgment of a character instead. Another mistake being made in the BG3 fandom over and over is the erroneous conflation that D&D 5.0 = all D&D ever. D&D 5.0 is D&D simplified and reworked to be more accessible to more players. This is a good thing at the end of the day, but resulted in a lot of difficulty imbalances, lost mechanics, and confusing remnants from the more robust versions of D&D. In the case of alignment, it should have been either included entirely or left out entirely. Instead it was left in name only, causing it to be often and easily misunderstood and misused.
Larian wisely left alignments off the character sheet in the game, and I'd like to think that was at least partly done out of reverence for D&D. It would take away from one of the most powerful experiences in BG3 that separates it from D&D: your choices, as the video game player, guiding and influencing ALL of the characters, not just the one you chose for yourself.
I consider the characters in BG3 to be well-written characters. Well-written characters are meant to be seen in multiple dimensions, and at best an alignment gives you 2. There will always be nuance in a complex, fully realized character that alignments just won't cover. All alignments have two sides to them. The first side of an alignment is good, evil, or neutral, while the other side of an alignment is lawful, neutral, or chaotic. If both sides of their alignment are neutral, that character is considered a 'true neutral' (often simplified as neutral, sometimes referred to as neutral-neutral).
Good vs Evil in Alignments is Not a Value Judgment
The good vs. evil side of alignment is all about degrees, not about a character's worth. Anyone can be an asshole or an angel under the right circumstances. Good vs evil is about what they value most. A traditional argument for the meaning of goodness asserts that all killing/harming is evil, and therefore a truly good character would never harm anyone. On the opposite end, the simplified definition of evil is anyone who kills or harms others, regardless of their circumstances or motivations. These definitions are way too reductive and inflexible, and would be the worst framework for the good vs evil side of alignment. In D&D alignments, characters who fall along the good axis are primarily motivated by altruism no matter their loyalty. Characters that fall along the evil axis are most motivated by power no matter their loyalty. Neutral characters on the good vs evil side of alignment are most motivated by personal relationships.
What follows is my perspective on how alignments shake out for BG3 characters. For the sake of brevity, I provide either a single example or a short justification of why I think that character 'fits' within a given alignment only if needed. I also account for contexts where a character's alignment can change based on players' choices in BG3. This is presented along the law vs chaos side of alignment, rather than good vs. evil, to diminish moral knee-jerk reactions.
Chaotic Axis
Chaotic characters are not always actually chaotic by definition, nor are they selfish by definition. Characters in the chaotic axis are most loyal to personal autonomy rather than rules/duty (aka law).
Chaotic Good – places the highest value on freedom of choice. Different from personal choice, freedom of choice implies that all people should have liberty but not at the expense of the liberties of others. (Karlach's arc is largely driven by this.)
Chaotic Neutral – places the highest value on personal choice.(Astarion doesn't care if others' lives don't benefit from his personal gains. He won't commit an evil or altruistic act that would disrupt or compromise his ability to live how he wants to.)
Chaotic Evil – places the highest value on personal gain (Ascended Astarion, on the other hand, will harm or kill anyone to be and remain powerful, no matter the consequences. His romanced line about being two sovereigns when in reality you are subjugated by him is a good example of that shift in values. See also: Every devil in the game. Orin fits here in theory but her alignment is more chaotic stupid, which is a special circumstance I won't cover here.)
Neutral Axis
The neutral axis gets wacky, because true neutral is the only alignment where neutrality is typically the goal and neutral shows up on both sides of alignment. Neutrality is difficult if not impossible to maintain unless you're in a vacuum, and true neutral characters are the most difficult to role play correctly. It is rare that a true neutral character is presented in a way that makes them compelling and interesting. They are likely to read flat and/or as though they're missing something. This alignment isn't useless however, because true neutral alignment as something intentional and/or temporary allows for interesting characterizations not available to other alignments. For neutral good or neutral evil characters, their neutral alignment is determined by them being most motivated by their values rather than their loyalties. For chaotic neutrals and lawful neutrals, the opposite is true: their loyalties come first.
Neutral Evil – places the highest value on total control. (The Emperor. The Netherbrain. Ketheric. Gortash. Don't feel like I need to explain these to anyone who has played through BG3.)
Neutral-Neutral (aka True Neutral) – all things are considered equally. They favor neither their loyalties nor their values when making decisions. Their typical actions neither directly harm nor directly help others. A character without specific motivations to maintain balance in all things (aka a true neutral that isn't a druid) is likely experiencing or has experienced something which prevents them from possessing strong convictions or values. (Shadowheart when you first meet her, literally only because she's missing chunks of her personality and nearly all of her personal history. Her attempts at conviction are shallow and unconvincing, and her values don't land consistently either. I'd put God of Ambition formerly known as Gale here too. He's not actively bringing harm or help to anyone. He's just kinda there, soaking in worship while being really detached, uninteresting, and uninvolved, as any god would be.)
Neutral Good – places the highest value on kindness/compassion for others. (Gale. How outraged Halsin is at the state of the refugee crisis in Baldur's Gate. Jaheira allying with the Astral Prism gang once she realizes they're on the same side, despite misgivings about them being infected. Selunite Shadowheart.)
Lawful Axis
The meaning of 'law' in the law vs chaos side of alignment is extremely flexible: duty, order, honor, justice, tradition, and rules, are all considered law. The lawful axis is for characters who place law first, above their values. The type of law is not necessarily indicative of the good vs evil side of their alignment, but there is a certain amount of boxing in that can take place. If the character's highest priority is fulfilling duties for an evil god, for example, they're lawful evil, period.
Lawful Evil – places the highest value on attaining and maintaining 'rightful' power. (Minthara embodies the lawful evil paladin archetype pretty fully. She has a malevolent sense of justice. See also: Dark Justiciar Shadowheart, Vlaakith's Zealot Lae'zel.)
Lawful Neutral – places the highest value on upholding law (Lae'zel. Duty is everything to her.)
Lawful Good – places the highest value on benevolent justice (Minsc and Wyll, always kicking ass for good and willing to sacrifice for it too. Killing may be an unfortunate side effect, but the values of lives are respected.)

These are just examples, of course. There are many characterizations in which you can argue for an alignment where the standard description I provide here wouldn't apply. That is part of the fun of debating character alignments and thinking critically about what motivates the decisions of characters. As a creative tool, character alignment has value outside of the game as well. It facilitates that difficult process fan fiction writers go through of not being the original writer while trying to determine how a character would react, what they would do, and what they would say. Writers who can see characters in three dimensions are capable of expanding on any existing well-written universe with believable canon and stories. The talk about disappointment and viewing the numbers Tae pulled as a failure is wrong and based on what I guess is misinformation.
First of all I need people to stop with this myth that Tae’s music is so unreachable and niche when he literally just released 2 mid tempo pop r&b tracks, most people listen to and love r&b it’s literally one of the most popular genres of music. Most of his solo music some sub genre of pop or just plain pop music idk who’s been feeding ppl this bs but he makes pop music.
Second, Love Me Again and Rainy Days are pre release tracks they were not given the time or promo that a title track would be given because the way Min HeeJin does promotion pre release tracks are part of the promo that build anticipation to the album and title track release so the fact that Tae was able to debut both songs in the top 15 of Spotify global is amazing since he had no major buildup or playlisting and his songs were competing with each other even within the fandom because nobody was sure which song to focus on. To give you a comparison Olivia R had major promo and playlisting for the song she dropped yesterday and she did 5 million streams on Spotify both of Tae’s songs did over 3.5 million if you don’t understand how good that is I can’t help you.
Third, the reason Tae couldn’t keep the top spots on US iTunes is because much like the situation that happened with Jk a few weeks ago another country singer with angry republican fans are mass buying his song there’s nothing we can do about that and I want to keep reminding everybody that these are prereleases they were never meant to be treated like a title track and the fact that their numbers are comparable to the numbers others have done with title tracks and multiple versions of their songs should tell you how popular he is and how good he’s doing not to mention all of the amazing reviews on top of all of it. The other thing I don’t think people get is how difficult it is to chart 2 songs simultaneously but the last time army tried to do it was with BE when they did chart all of the songs but it was super difficult and it would’ve been better and might’ve gotten them another #1 on the Hot100 if we focused on one song.
Tae is the only one that has his achievements turned into negatives and failures and idk why but if you’re a fan you should stop.

Bro, Squishmallows are complicated as fuck.
I'm trying to make a list of Squishmallows that I already have, and I'm trying to make it as comprehensive as possible, but it's quickly becoming complicated. There are a LOT of Squishmallow's (which I know sounds obvious at first, but it's simply baffling just how expansive the product line is), and it's more difficult to find help in collecting them than I had assumed.
First off, I'm trying to figure out the size range, and I keep getting mixed results. I keep seeing sources that say there are 12 sizes for Squishmallows (3.5, 5, 6, 7, 7.5, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20, 24 inches), but according to the wiki for Gio and Shahzad, they come in 4.5", which is the size I have both of them in. Then I found one source saying that there wer a whopping TWENTY-ONE sizes, going all the way up to 28", yet all the other sources insist that the line stops at 24". And when it comes to the smaller Squishmallows, I see sources going "oh yeah, all the mini Squishmallows are 2 inches", but these exclude the Micromallows, which are 2.5 inches. In fact, when I search up minis, all that comes up is the Squishville lines. I had to dig to find the Micros (which sucked bc I forgot what they were called).
Secondly, there are far more lines and offshoots of these things than I initially realized. Like, you have the regular Squishmallows, (including the keychains even though I would assume they'd be considered a separate thing but the size charts consider them the same so idk), there's also Squishville, Micromallows, Fuzzamallows, Flipamallows, Squooshems (which I don't think are even plushies), Squishdoos, Stackables, and Squeezemallows (which I had trouble finding ANY info about and only ever saw ONCE at a single Target store), and also the Mystery Squad(s?) (which I don't know if they count as part of the regular line or not). That's not even including the trading cards, hats, shirts, slippers, ornament, baskets, costumes, accessories, pet beds, pet toys, and lord KNOWS what else.
Lastly, there are multiple versions of most of the Squishmallow characters. Whether it be different sizes, different product lines, seasonal versions, or whatever else the creators might choose to through out there, it feels like there's an infinite list of both characters and character iterations.
It hasn't taken me long to realize Squishmallow collecting is complicated, even to a casual fan such as myself. And I find it strange that despite its large fanbase of avid collectors, it isn't easy to find any sort of comprehensive and all-encompassing guide to 'Mallow hunting. Nevertheless, I'm a stubborn bastard who loves cute plushies, and by god I'm gonna give it my best shot.

I LOVE your rating Data's outfit series but I'd just like to point out that he wears two different versions of his normal uniform in s3. In the first 7 episodes it's got these seams down the front

Since you watched it, what did you think of Full River Red?
It was a decent movie. I rated it 3.5/5 rather generously I think.
Not my favorite Zhang Yimou movie but not terrible. I watched it because I was curious about Wei Xiang's role and he appeared for a glorious 20 seconds at most lol. I can't speak for the cinematography or color use honestly bc I watched a pretty low res version, but it looked ok from what I could see. The humor surprised me because I'd been avoiding previews and promos so I didn't realise it was actually going to be funny, even though comedic actors had been cast. I think there was a slow start but I found myself fairly invested by the midpoint.
SPOILERS
There are still some offputting elements to the film though—namely, the treatment of the female characters (who are all underwritten in a movie that doesn't have too much character development to begin with). It's not terribly gratuitous or completely unfounded, given the historical setting I guess? But as with some other scenes, it felt much grimmer in comparison to all the comedic moments and that was jarring.
There's also couple of obvious nationalist (? idk how else to describe it) moments that are rather expected of such a huge budget film, but also just feel just as weird and hamfisted as usual. I guess one should be grateful the moments aren't particularly subtle because you can more easily pick them out and flick them out of your memory... but also the historical backdrop of the film is (as you'd expect from the source material/title) the Song-Jin wars so the stuff emphasising avenging national shame (line from the poem) feels weird—or so I thought, anyway.
There are a lot of twists and turns in the movie which kept it interesting, then got annoying, then got sort of funny/less annoying again. I think my favorite aspects of the movie would be the comedy, as much as it threw me for a loop at the beginning. Plus there were a lot of power walking scenes which cracked me up. The acting was on point though out, although I'm not convinced Shen Teng pulled off all of his dramatic scenes (namely, his reactions of pain still read a little bit like slapstick/comedy reactions, even though I don't necessarily always find him that funny in comedy roles to begin with).
END SPOILERS
Zhang Yi and Yue Yunpeng delivered solid performances, as did Lei Jiayin. I didn't even recognise Jackson Yee at first but he did a good job, too. I think the only other movie I've seen him in was the Battle of Lake Changjin, but I don't really have a strong impression of any of the characters from that movie (aside from the 'American' soldier who says "my family makes cheese broccoli for Thanksgiving", but that's only because that line lives rent free in my head).
Overall, if you're interested in the movie, I think it's worth checking out for the performances, plus just to witness the sheer amount of plot twists with your own two eyes.

Ngl i was a lil bored with the 1st half of Wonka bt the 2nd half was good. Hugh grant, olivia colman and calah lane did a great job! Sometimes i felt lik i could see Timmy acting n it felt lik a caricature of Wonka instead of him actually being Wonka, bt overall he did a good job (i liked his voice in pure imagination) n nice to see him in a more lightearted role. 3.5/5 for me
Yea, it took a little while to get there and pick up the pace in the beginning, but I wasn't bored or anything. Idk how little kids will feel though lol 😅
I thought the entire cast did pretty well actually? 🤷🏾♀️ I thought Timmy did fine in his role tbh. He plays eccentric better than I thought he would lol. But maybe my bar for him was in hell rofl 🤣
I wouldn't go in expecting a Johnny Depp Wonka performance where eccentric behavior just oozes out of his pores and it's as natural as breathing for him lol, but I thought Timmy did well! 👍🏾
His Wonka is portraying the younger Gene Wilder version anyway.... and dare I say it? I think this Wonka was actually more likable as a person than the Wilder version (even though I love Wilder in the role).
In this version, you actually kind of feel a little sorry for him. 😔 Which is smthg I never felt for Wonka in the original older film.

O.K. I finished listening to A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers and I am veery strangely going to say that I? liked it? a lot more than I thought I would, at least.
It goes like this:
1. hear about the book
2. listen to the book
3. "this is so bad. but slightly entertaining."
4. "this is still bad. but VERY entertaining."
5. le finish
I actually really liked it LAWL cause it was a WRECK all the way thru it just took some time for me to resign myself to it like fuck it. I have no reason not to listen to this. & the narrator's voice does help cause it's fun to listen to...
BUT the NUMBER ONE THING I HATED about this book was the way it was written sometimes. I don't have the like, written version at hand, but it would compare things / enumerate things VERY often & it got annoying REAL fast. I got over it though because that's my #1 power (overlooking things), so I didn't really care by the end.
+ ANOTHER thing I hated about it was this one moment where the MC is thinking back on the time she was raped and she's like "I was getting raped. Fascinating." like yeah it's stated like a BAJILLION times in the book that she's, like, a psychopath or whatever but it felt unnecessary, like it (the entire stalker-then-rapist) subplot was there to show how I don't even know, emotionless? uncaring? she was. It felt pointless as an "anecdote" because IIRC it doesn't really DO anything for the plot. She doesn't even kill the guy! Not saying she would because it's like a Thing that she only kills and eats men she is attracted to / has had a relationship with, but that's the point of what I'm saying: she tells us about being stalked and raped, she says it's "fascinating", she doesn't ever see the guy OR mention him again. It's probably half because it's upsetting to me but also half because it really WAS pointless.
My favorite part was her friendship with Emma tho that was very good 👍 & the end when she doesn't marry the guy because she sees herself being "good" and doesn't like what she sees, is a much better show of character than getting raped and going "wow". Sorry I'm hung up on that LOL it was just confusing.

Should i get into dragalia because the music on that love wins video slapped severely
you should get into dragalia! dragalia music slaps. but the music on the love wins is not from dragalia, but rather Bravely Default— a JRPG for the 3DS (the song is Love's Vagrant, the character theme for Ringabel— an amnesiac who joins the party)! the music bangs. i'm still gonna link dragalia music because i'm insane. i'm gonna link songs i like from launch until now. i'll also link bravely default songs after
also, dragalia has already announced end of service. there's no confirmed date, only that it will be after the main story ends (which is soon, but it won't end immediately after). i understand if you wouldnt want to get into something thats ending already but i still recommend the game

-kane and salima are interesting though, that said kane was very much kind of a dick when it came to handling the whole digital sacred beast situation to say the least. motherfucker went "oh well i'm just built different" and paid the price when salima was ACTIVELY TRYING TO WORK THINGS OUT
-but yeah uh. that whole situation's ABSOLUTELY gonna give em some trauma let's be real
-i think them and kai (on behalf of yuya) and depending on how things were to go post-canon. perhaps even zeo should get to form a beating-the-shit-out-of-zagart club. NEVER forget that zagart was technically the one ultimately behind this and he was well aware of what was happening in the battle tower
-speaking of zagart actually this is a bit more of an au thing (more specifically a hypothetical version of v-force where psykick just did not exist, same events zagart is just more directly responsible for things now) but you could proooobably make an argument for it being applicable to canon if we're saying zagart told them abt psykick. but i feel like how they ended up involved with this whole thing is like, already existing group of friends who were interested in zagart's research on the four sacred beasts. and he sees this group of probably like, high schoolers? i'm just takin a shot in the dark idk but he sees these people who genuinely look up to him and he's like "oh you know what. yeah i'll manipulate these people into helping me steal the sacred beasts"
-god i really i need to write more i swear to god. like everything i write is an au to some degree even if that's not like, the basis of it. i have like 3.5 different story ideas relating to v-force though. i think about the digital sacred beasts plotline every day of my life

1) wild kratts is the objective best kids show of all time. this isn't an opinion this is an objective fact but it is also fun so therefore it's a fun fact. also squash and stretch in animation is incredibly fun and can make for some EXCELLENT smooth motion ALONGSIDE really funny freeze frames if you pause at the right moment
2) *slams a dozen folders on the metaphorical table* SO my favorite oc that i've ever made/owned ever is rigel, this information definitely isn't new if you've followed me for awhile and kept up with my oc bullshit. this would also normally be the part where i link a cool toyhouse profile or something for him but i don't have that so please imagine him in your mind. he's a bastard grey-haired white boy. thank you. oh and i can share actual art of him that too
i'm also specifically proud of... a few things, really. please imagine me gesturing to The Whole Entire Rigel again thanks. i think i'm pretty decent at writing like... idk, complicated characters? gay idiots with a lot of personal issues. introspective character-driven stories that may-or-may-not involve smiting, denying, and/or killing god are my bread and butter.
also i'd be overjoyed at any fanart of my ocs but my current mood is fomal bc i'm writing him atm and he's so scrunkly. just. so very blorbo. very krispy kream bar that i wanna eat for lunch.

3) ARKNIGHTS HAS ANGELS AND THE ANGELS HAVE GUNS. THE ANGELS INVENTED GUNS. ARKNIGHTS ANGELS INVENTED GUNS AND ALSO ALL THE GUNS IN ARKNIGHTS ARE CANONICALLY POWERED BY THE SETTING'S VERSION OF MAGIC (we know this because of an also-canonical crossover where "normal" humans got transported to gacha furry land and nobody knows what gunpowder is) AND THEY'RE BASICALLY LIKE SLIGHTLY STRONGER CROSSBOWS. also the sea in arknights is eldritch and sentient and wants to kill you and also also i think there's equally eldritch paint gods in the mountains somewhere? idk i wasn't playing during the event that revealed the latter. oh and speaking of the gun angels according to an event currently unreleased on the global server they're legally not allowed to shoot more than 5 bullets from their gun. under penalty of Something (probably definitely death). honestly as someone who adores angel aesthetics laterano scratches an inch that i can't describe but definitely exists
