SneakPeek-Night Stalker

Hi everyone, thought I'd share with you a little sneak peek of my next That '90s Show/That '70s Show FanFic I have planned. It's short and sweet and full of fluff about Red and Kitty being grandparents. It's also based on some dialogue that got cut from one of the episode I saw filmed, kinda disappointed it got cut but there's one I *really* wish they would have kept. But back to the fic, hope you like it!

SneakPeek-Night Stalker

“I am not stalking Leia, I am cherishing her, Red. Cherishing.”

“There’s a line between stalking and cherishing, Kitty, and I think watching Leia sleep for an hour and forty-right minute crosses that line.”

Turning to look at Red again, Kitty was prepared to argue and defend her actions until she realized what her husband had said.

Kitty frowned. “How did you know how long I was in there?”

Red’s own features of irritation softened and he looked down at his palms while he shifted himself a bit on his side of the bed.

“I might’ve felt you when you got up and left,” he admitted avoiding her gaze, it was so cute Kitty couldn’t help but smile. “You know I have trouble sleeping at night without you!”

He’d said it like it was her fault, which made Kitty smile even more. She did in fact know the difficulty Red spoke of. It seemed to only get harder as the years went by, most often the hospital kept them from sleeping in the same bed at night; whether due to her work or a medical stay for one of them. Thankfully they hadn’t had to deal with any of that in the last five or six years.

“Softie,” she teased with a knowing smile.

Her Red could really be the biggest softie at times, but he hated to let the world know it. Luckily, she got to see that side of him.

You all, the response to my newest fic Uncle Red has been so amazing. I am so incredibly touched. I just wanted to say two things.

1.) Thank you to everyone who has read, commented, and left kudos on the fic. All of your words and support have left me all warm and fuzzy.

2) Your support and comments have inspired me to write a sort of sequel to this, where we will get to see Red sit down and catch up with Jackie during the summer of '95. It's in the beginning process but it's coming!

Also side note: New Chapter of Strangers in the Night is coming this week people!

Sabine is naturally drawn to the MC anyway, but I think I made Sabine in my story -just from the few chapter outlines alone- completely obsessed with her. Like downright down bad. Sabine will literally be sniffing the air to find MC a couple of times throughout.

Preview Time!

I’m off today because, even though I’m processing a recent (expected) family passing just fine, my coworkers insisted I take the day off. Very sweet of them; I’m using my day to go to hot yoga and clean my house as I start to feel like myself again after a very stressful few weeks. I thought I’d drop a preview of my upcoming NaLu fic -- right now it’s tentatively titled “Knees Deep” and that may or may not change. Expected length is about 6 chapters/10k words, so it’ll be a shortie and I don’t anticipate being able to post much in the way of previews beyond future 6 Sentence Sundays.

Anyway, here’s some of chapter 2 -- let me know if you like it! And if you want to be on the tag list when this goes live, drop a comment!

Still afraid to stand in her shower until the next week, Lucy sat on the edge of her tub and wiped herself down with a soapy washcloth. She finished quickly and wrapped herself in the towel she’d had Natsu set out before he left. She was about to call Cancer to help her with washing her hair when she remembered. Cursing slightly, she pulled her hair back as she wondered if she could get away with another day without washing while Cancer enjoyed his day off. She was still fiddling with her bangs, trying to get them into the high bun she’d tied when she heard the front door open.

“Luuuucyyyyy!” Happy called as he flew into the bathroom, completely ignoring the closed door and settling down in her lap. “We’re home! Did you miss us?”

“I miss my privacy, cat!” Lucy picked him up and set him on the floor. Undeterred, Happy climbed up onto the edge of the tub next to her.

“Natsuuu! Lucy’s in here and she’s naked!”

“Am not!” Lucy did her best to stifle the heat on her face as she gave the Exceed a light shove.

“I dunno Luce, you look pretty naked to me,” Natsu added as he appeared in the doorway.

“Lucy loves getting naked,” Happy agreed.

Lucy gave up entirely, hiding her now-surely crimson face in her hands. “I hate you both,” she whined.

“No, you don’t! You looooooove us,” Happy sang merrily.

“Yeah! How could you hate us when we brought you special dinner from Mira?”

She disliked how right they both were. She couldn’t hate them even if she tried. Lucy sighed and conceded the argument silently, reaching for her crutches.

“Why don’t you get dinner set up while I wash my hair? Cancer’s off today so it might take me a while,” she replied as she tried to stand and make her way toward the adjustable showerhead at the other side of the wet room, ensuring that the crutches wouldn’t interfere with the towel precariously wrapped around her body.

“Hold up,” Natsu said, placing a hand on her arm, “You wanna break your other foot? No way am I letting you crutch around a wet floor. I’ll help you.”

The blush was back; Lucy tried to will her face to cool. “W-what?” She wasn’t sure she’d heard him right.

“I’ll, uh. Help,” Natsu repeated, and Lucy swore she could see the slightest hint of a blush. “With your hair. Just wait there! I’ll get a bucket or something.” He dashed out of the room, Happy close behind, leaving Lucy slightly short of breath. Was this really happening? She almost didn’t believe it and did her best to tamp down the hope rising in her chest.

This is just how he is, she reminded herself. He’d do anything for his friends.

She’d almost convinced herself fully by the time he’d returned, pitcher from her kitchen cabinets in hand.

Sneak Peek-Fix It

Here's just. little sneak peek at my next That '90s Show Drabble. And This one is truly a drabble, short and fluffy with a tiny bit of angst sprinkled in at the end. It's s Red and Kitty with Little Leia requested by anonymous (I wish I could tag the person properly hopefully they're still on here) with the line "Come here, let me fix it." Hope to have it up soon, in the meantime enjoy this little sneak peek:

Fix It-

Red, Kitty, and three-year-old Leia were in the Forman kitchen. Kitty was preparing lunch for the three of them while Leia played with her toy kitchen set, that she and Red had given Leia for her birthday and kept set up at their house where she spent most of her weekday afternoons while her parents were at school or work.

Suddenly Leia began to wail a loud high pitched cry alarming both her grandparents.

Kitty rushed to Leia and Red dropped his newspaper onto the tabletop to do the same.

“Leia, sweetie, what’s wrong?” Kitty asked calmly, already carefully and subtly examining the little girl for any sort of injury.

“Are you okay?” Red asked more urgently.

“Toast is stuck,” Leia explained, lower lip sticking out and eyes watering. She held up the little blue plastic toaster that did in fact seem to have a piece of plastic bread wedged deep inside. To further prove her point to them, Leia shook the toy toaster upside down, yet the second toy inside didn’t budge.

Kitty smiled patiently while Red gave a sigh that may have sounded annoyed, but Kitty could hear the relief in it as well.

“Oh sweetie, you scared your grandpa and I,” Kitty said stroking the top of Leia’s little blonde head. “A broken toaster is no reason to cry like that. You know what they say, don’t cry over spilled milk? Well, the same goes for stuck toast.”
