NEW CHAPTER OF THAT ‘70S SHOW FANFICTION

Title: Strangers in the Night Chapter 19

Chapter Summary: Red and Jackie have dinner together and discuss his sleeping arrangement and budding relationship with Kitty.

Story Summary: After suffering the loss of each their spouses, neighbors Red Forman and Kitty Halpert come up with a sleeping arrangement so that neither one of them have to face a lonely night in their empty houses again.The arrangement causes quite a buzz in their small town as well as within their families.

Red’s daughter Jackie claims she’s never seen him happier. However, Kitty’s son, Eric who is going through his own marital troubles, does not like or trust Red because of Red’s darker past. And though Red gets the approval of Eric’s son, as well as Eric’s best friend and Kitty’s adopted son Steven Hyde, Eric’s dislike for Red does anything but lessen.

Still Red and Kitty continue to spend their nights-and their days-together, and as they learn more about each other their bond grows stronger. Could an unconventional sleep arrangement lead the way to a second chance at love?

Now you see, That ‘90s Show could’ve been a lot worse! Eric could’ve still been working at PriceMart and Red would probably try to make good on his promise lol

While I’m glad that Eric did not end up with his career at PriceMart, I think i actually preferred the episodes where we saw him working there with Red for many different reasons but it was nice to see him being responsible and showing that he had a good work ethic that he’d picked up from his parents.

It’s too bad that we did see Kitty this upset when Sam showed up at the beginning of the season and revealed to be married to Hyde. But I guess Kitty was just too happy and relieved to have Steven back home. Still could’ve been fun or at least interesting to see a margarita circle with the girls talking about Hyde and his “marriage” Maybe I’ll add it to my Summer Write List 🤔

I’ve finally written and completed something! A new Valentine’s Day oneshot, hope you like it, here’s the info:

Title: Chocolate Can Do It All

Summary: On Valentine’s Day 1980, Jackie is prepared to forget all about one of her favorite holidays until she gets a box of chocolates from someone special. But what happens when her ex-boyfriend sees the gift?

Pairings: Red and Jackie (family/friendship), Jackie/Hyde

“What is it?” she looked at the bag that had been closed up by rolling the open end shut.

It looked like an oversized version of Steven’s stash bags but there was no way Red Forman would be handing that stuff out.

“Just open it,” he ordered, although his voice had lost some of it’s gruffness; in fact, Jackie would have sworn she heard a slight bit of embarrassment in it.

Jackie looked back at the brown bag and examined it from all angles. She couldn’t figure out why Mr. Forman had given her this bag that contained something inside it. Had she forgotten something at his shop the other day? Or maybe it was some kind of task he wanted her to do…or maybe…

“Oh my God, is this a present?” Jackie’s eyes brightened as she looked up at Red again. “Because if it is, presents are supposed to be wrapped in wrapping paper not put in brown paper bags. And I like my presents wrapped in pink shinny paper…”

Red’s forehead bore a deep scowl, “I can take it back, you know.”

“No!” she was quick to protest. A badly wrapped gift was better than no gift. “I was just saying for future reference, for future presents you might want to get me,” Jackie added on, missing Red’s eyeroll when she started hugging the paper sack gift to her chest. “I like this wrapping. Brown in very in right now, very chic.”
