i have to say i find the way ppl talk abt gaylors to be strange…..i’m not one myself but as a lesbian i don’t like the way ppl act like gaylors are evil somehow for calling tswift a lesbian like in reality who cares…….truly i think it’s bc they r the only mainstream group of women speculating on the sexuality of a celebrity woman to that degree of fame. bc tswift fans who r obsessed w her heterosexual dating life r not in any way subject to scrutiny by ppl in general no one cares. and as much as there has been general debates on the ethics of speculating the sexualities of celebrity men and making fun of ppl that do there is a vastly different tone abt it. like ppl make fun of them and say they shouldn’t do it and whatnot (although i would like to point out that similarly this is mostly done by woman & all of this very much takes on a look at these silly women tone) but like there is a tone of superiority around ppl who dunk on gaylors and very much a tone of like look at these delusional women who have convinced themselves that someone sooooo obvs heterosexual is a lesbian aren’t they crazy. there is smth in particular abt talking abt a woman possibly being a lesbian that really rubs ppl the wrong way perhaps bc it is the antithesis of a woman’s role & it makes ppl uncomfortable to think a celebrity woman who has been marketed to them as being an ideal woman could potentially defy her expected role……i personally don’t think she is a lesbian but like other ppl calling lesbians delusional for thinking she is bothers me……so i am coming out to you all as a gaylor ally i stand w gaylors

Roberto and Grimmer just being enormous pals together. They duck their heads when entering a room or stepping onto the bus, their knees bending really high up when they sit down. People often ask if they're related because how else are these two enormous guys in the same place?

it's actually so funny to see posts that are like "if you aren't physically active, if you can't do this strenuous work, if you aren't capable of this, this, or that then it's your fault you're depressed" or whatever but like repackaged in language that makes it sound less "bad" so everybody's reblogging & having a good time and when someone points out that it's kind of ableist & generally shitty somebody inevitably throws the chronically online accusation or goes "oh well i don't mean physically disabled people" like ok then what did you mean. bc not everyone has the same abilities as you & that doesn't make them useless or lazy or less of a person & doing physical labor doesn't make someone a better one sooo

since when did proshipping and antishipping become general terms?? not to be that person but back in my day if you were an anti/antishipper it was in reference to a specific ship. like u were a wincest antishipper or whatever. but now i guess people use proshipper as like a boogeyman term for people that ship anything deemed "taboo" and label themselves antishippers as a signal that they only ship "pure" ships?

but it just seems like such a stupid way to differentiate yourself bc how do you know if your definition of taboo/problematic lines up with another self-proclaimed antishipper's definition? like what if your definition is anything involving pedophilia, incest, or noncon but someone else only has a problem with pedophilia and incest but doesn't mind noncon? like i feel like every time i see people talk about "proshippers" they create this false dichotomy where you're either a person who likes and ships any and every kind of taboo or "problematic" ship or you're a person that doesn't want anything to do with any of it. but i feel like in reality a lot of people fall somewhere in the middle

idk like i don't think there's anything wrong with being uncomfortable with certain ships esp. when it comes to taboo topics or wanting to be in community with like minded people. i also have icks and ships in some fandoms that i don't want anything to do with. and i don't think it's wrong to have discussions about the morality of shipping w/in a fandom. but i just find the whole language of proshipper vs. antishipper to be so unhelpful. like it just feels like virtue signaling and morality policing and it's not even specific about what that morality is supposed to be. it leaves no room for nuance. you're either a good guy or a bad guy it's just all so stupid
