steve who becomes a fan favourite and background staple over the covid streams, sleepily kissing eddie on the cheek whenever he wakes up from a nap, unaware that the chat is being flooded with love for him. mostly about how cute they are, how nice it is to see older queers in happy heathy relationships. but there's also a good few comments about the way steve's shirt fits, the way his arms look, the peak of chest hair and the gravel in his voice from just waking up.

oh, and the glasses, the people love the glasses.

eddie gets asked about a picture of them that went viral during an interview. the host shows the screen grab of eddie trying and failing to block where you can see steve in the background, who’s stretching his hand above his head, belly button and faded scars just peaking out of his old cropped t-shirt, ‘i <3 hot moms’ stretched across his chest.

eddie laughs and mumbles his way though an explanation that the streams can be kinda last minute, his husband not always picking up on eddie’s doing them, not without his hearing aids. and yes he’s seen the picture, he thinks it’s funny, the t-shirt was stolen from his best friend robin.

the begging to have steve on screen or join in a whole stream get so big and so often that eddie gets overcome with jealousy. and its silly, he knows it is. knows its the just way the internet works, knows Steve doesn't have eyes for anyone but him. but, still, its the principal of the thing.

and then steve grow a moustache.

it’s just for fun, and because he think eddie will like it. eddie loves it. but unfortunately, so does his chat. so does the whole internet.

eddie posts a video, on the official stream page, of him ambushing steve with a petition he’s made, asking for the moustache to go.

eddie’s the sole signature.

Steve is fresh back from a walk, enjoying the spring sunshine, gold chain dangling into his chest hair and running shorts showing off tanned thighs, digging slightly into his hips.

steve pouts.

‘you’re too hot, the internet is too horny for you. shave the moustache and stop being a dilf.’ eddie explains. demands. pleads with his husband who is too hot and too comfortable being caught randomly by the stream camera.

Steve just leans on one hip, hand coming to his waist. other hand scratching at the stubble on his cheeks. his husband is so ridiculous.

but, eventually he agrees, to shave it. (once he gets eddie to admit, red faced, that’s its because he’s jealous and he does love the moustache. which steve finds very cute.)

he agrees to shave it. but only after halloween.

he wants to dress as hopper from the 80s. just to annoy him. eddie says ok, and enjoys it while it lasts.

I thought whipstangle was all but confirmed? the only thing stopping it from being official being sega not liking romance since the controversies its been through (the rule thingies that sega set up)

Whispangle is the closest thing to a ship being canon in Sonic (well, excluding archie bc buntoine wedding) and I'd say it's also the most likely ship to be canon- Whispangle becoming canon wouldn't change much, whilst other ships like Sonadow & Blazamy, which although I do like, would make some significant changes that Sega probably wouldn't want to go through with (cowards).

It's kind of really funny to me that Crowley is clearly some kind of STEM genius but his talents are literally never required by the narrative. He invented physics and nebulae and also helicopters. Both Gaiman and Pratchett talked about how Crowley is a natural engineer. One of the S1 props for him is a journal filled with equations calculating how to perfectly map out the M25 so it would be a satanic sigil. This has yet to be useful in any way and it has not helped either him or Aziraphale get out of anything.

Do you think Vox has or will figure out Alastor is aroace at some point? Bc it's implied that they used to be on better terms in the finale but it's not like Alastor would have told him because even he doesn't know. Had this rattling around in my brain ever since it's also apparently implied or just fanon that Alastor (maybe unknowingly idk) rejected his romantic intentions + business ones too. okay okay multiple options are extremely and equally funny to me here. either vox meant it as a genuine business deal and alastor interpreted it as a come on, or vox intended it as a come on and alastor interpreted it as a business deal, and either way i'm sure alastor was a massive dick about it AS A RESULT of his opinion of vox already shifting from "associate/ally/friend(?)" to "this guy is a dishonest corporate sellout who compromises his artistic medium for money". bc i think they started out on the same page, but alastor is a dealmaker with a modicum of integrity—he doesn't like to punch down, and vox strikes me as the type to step on anyone and anything to give himself a leg up, a quality i think alastor would eventually come to find irritating because it makes vox just as common as any other greedy overlord. alastor's reputation and loyalty to his art is paramount, but vox is all about upgrades at the expense of quality, like how apple releases a new iphone every year that's somehow worse than the last. alastor sees him as a waste of potential. so when vox asked alastor to join his team (probably both in a business AND romantic sense, like joining the polycule is a prerequisite for joining the company), i imagine the subsequent falling out was a culmination of alastor's gradually depreciating respect for vox as a person + vox's fragile ego making him especially sensitive to rejection from a guy he really admired.

Are you ok? My favourite mechs artist has been quiet recently

im am SO so sorry i havent been able to post in so long aaa.. at the moment i am very much not okay, unfortunately a lot of things have gone poorly very quickly but hopefully its only a temporary set back!!

tldr i finally managed to get a full time job a month & a half after moving and my car broke down for the last time almost immediately upon hiring so i now have to walk ~2hrs to and from an 8 hour shift every day + more personal stuff,, the pain & stress is Not fun for my back problems or mental health :,^)

hoping to get the bike my mom leant me repaired as soon as i have my first paycheck or 2, so fingers crossed that will make a huge difference

i have still been slowly working on comms in whatever free time i get but its slow going 😔 ty everybody for your patience & sorry again for not being online!

the question i'm wondering now is whether suki, mai and ty lee ever get to visit the south pole, and how they're received there (especially by sokka and katara)

yes!!!! I think they would all kind of just invite themselves, except for ty lee, who is invited by aang, which katara thoroughly resents because she does not want that terrifying girl in her home, where she lives.

one day suki’s just like “so when are you gonna introduce me to your family” to which sokka is like “you’ve already met my dad and you know katara really well at this point???” and suki’s like “okay well when are you going to introduce me as your GIRLFRIEND” which sokka thinks is insane because she’s constantly asserting that she doesn’t subscribe to the valorization of the family or romantic relationships, and now she wants him to formally introduce her to his grandmother??? but he’s like okay. whatever. so he takes her to the south pole (it’s like 5 mins away from kyoshi island via air travel) and she adores his family and they adore her. and she gets really into learning about their culture, which they are more than eager to teach her, and she has a blast.

mai invites herself to the south pole when she and sokka are living together in ba sing se, because sokka gets a letter from hakoda telling him that kanna is sick so he should come home as quickly as possible just in case, and even though he doesn’t ask her to, mai is just like “of course im coming with you. i long to penguin sled.” and then katara gets really pissed and she’s like “why is she here” and sokka’s like “trust me i didn’t actually invite her.” and then katara writes a really emphatic letter to zuko complaining that mai is totally monopolizing her time with her family while she heals her gran gran (mai is just standing silently in the corner) and then zuko is like “what?!? your gran gran is sick and you didn’t tell me!!?!?!” so then he comes to the south pole and then he does actually monopolize all the attention with his drama. but i digress.

there’s another time that suki and ty lee come to the south pole to have a slumber party with katara (this is after katara has slightly relaxed her opinion of ty lee) while sokka mai and toph are off having fun elsewhere (and no suki isn’t bitter that toph didn’t invite her, after all they’ve been through together, no why would you even say that) and they play truth or dare, and suki (thinking she’s being generous) dares katara to kiss ty lee, and katara looks so repulsed by the prospect of kissing the most beautiful girl suki has ever seen, like she was asked to lick a wet slug, that suki just cracks up. anyway i think katara would host a lot of slumber parties, and this is simply one of many. but those are all the examples i could think of off the top of my head.
