When you have a tween, it becomes quite an effort to think of gifts. Before, cute things like toys and stuffed animals will do. Now, I have to level up the gifts to fit her age. Sumarry: He was leaving for Japan yet you keep asking stupid questions.

Note: The angst is only mild, so if it disappoints you, I'm sorry😫

“Hey, Taehyun-ah, what goes first? Cereal or Milk?" You suddenly asked your boyfriend out of nowhere.

Taehyun was taken by surprise at your sudden question. Almost making him drop the box of cereal he was just taking out of your kitchen shelf. When he decided to stop by at your house early in the morning, this was the least possible question that has crossed his mind.

His flight to Japan with his members. He went by your house and wanted to spend the last hours with you and this is the topic that came out of your mouth. Instead of receiving an ‘I will miss you’, from you, his girlfriend, you have him this. The irony of the situation almost made him laugh.

Totally Y/N-like.

"Y/N, I’m going to Japan in a few hours. We wouldn’t be seeing each other for 3 weeks and this is what you want to talk about now?” Taehyun chuckled as he set down the milk and cereal box on the table.

You were supposed to answer but instead of doing so, you took the milk and carton of cereal.

“Taehyun.” You said that once again gained his attention.

“What?” He answered with curiosity in his voice.

“It’s for science.” You suddenly said as you brought the two closer to his face.

Taehyun just laughed and took the two in his hands. He looked at you and opened the milk.

“Milk, of course.” He answered as he poured the milk on your bowl, watching your expression change into horror.

Your expression was priceless. A mix of anger and confusion on your face. Looking back and forth from the bowl and to Taehyun. Your expression was full of horror. And if that was still not enough, he opened the carton of cereal and poured the little round yums to the milk.

“Taehyun-ah!” You said as you took the carton of cereal away from him. “It’s supposed to be CEREAL before MILK!” You yelped as you hugged the carton to yourself.

Taehyun only looked at you with amusement and said, “It’s Milk before Cereal. You liked me first.” He said and then his face came closer to you and suddenly kissed your cheek. You were so taken aback that you didn’t even notice his hand grabbing the cereal from your hands.

Taehyun was the cereal and you were the milk. All the people around you two called you this. The two of you didn’t know where this came from but this nickname has always stuck on the both of you. And in a way, what he said was true. You fell in love with him first. You loved him so, that you feel like you loved him more than he is to you.

But scratching that aside, how dare he suddenly pulls on some tricks?

“Y-yah! I didn’t!” You retorted and tried to take the box from him. “And that’s cheating! Give me that!” You said as you struggled to take it from him again.

Damn him and his height, you cursed. Taehyun was considered as the shortest in the group, with his all in glory height of 5'8 that is still impressive. He was still considered tall for a young adult that he was.

“Nope.” Taehyun refused and decided to pour some more (much to your dismay) and took it back to the kitchen shelf. “Now enough about that. Eat.” He said to which you then didn’t obey. You were too prideful and kind of pissed to do so.

“If you promise you’ll avoid that topic, I might just follow your 'rule’.” He suddenly stated to which you were left confused.

Was he jealous?

“Are you jealous?” You asked to confirm your guess.

All this time he was pissing you off because he was jealous? You wanted to confirm this but he was just silent. And to say this somehow lifted your spirit was an understatement. You didn’t know you were ever capable of doing this. This made your heart swell with 'awwww’ and blushed a bit.

“You’re meaning to say you acted like this because you were jealous?” You suddenly laughed (but not in an insulting way) and playfully slapped his arm. “What, I don’t know you love me this much. But yeah, if I were in your shoes—” though you couldn’t finish your sentence when he suddenly spoke.

“Noona, I’ll miss you.” He said, sudden pain in his eyes.

Your eyes widened out of shock and you couldn’t say anything. He was going for Japan for 3 weeks and you decided to act all childish over a meal. You felt bad about yourself and wanted to slap your face.

You wanted to say something, to apologize for being such an insensitive girlfriend. He was feeling blue but you were ranting about cereals. You felt sorry but before you could do anything, a sudden hugged engulfed you.

He was indeed a baby. Your baby.

You hugged him tight, tighter than the usual. You were going to miss him. It was hard not seeing him the last time he was overseas but now realizing it was going to happen again suddenly hit you. You weren’t going to see him for weeks. You wanted to say more but all that came out of your mouth was so simple, so bland.

“I will miss you too.” You said and hugged him tighter not wanting to let go.

It has now been hours after that happening and the aftermath almost a blur. Both of you watching some movies before it was suddenly time for his departure to the airport. Thankfully your house was insanely close to the agency and he got there on time.

Tomorrow X Together has now landed on Japan and headed straight to their hotel. And while on the way, the group decided to take the passing time replying to MOA’s on WeVerse. Taehyun especially had the most enthusiasm and replied the most. The members guessed this must be yet again your effect on him and silently giggled at their brother’s cuteness.

While scrolling down the WeVerse however, Taehyun spotted a familiar question making him smile.

“Taehyun-ah, what goes first? Cereal or Milk?” — MOAfan

A MOA asked that instantly made him remember the earlier happenings at your house. And almost as magic, he saw your WeVerse ID on the comment sections.

“Of course it is Milk before Cereal.”

Taehyun almost laughed at your sudden confession but instantly shook his head from left to right showing sudden disapproval.

“Cereal before Milk, of course.”
