The Campaign
In other words, me yapping nonsense about this AU.
Basically our party consists of:
Ace, the Human Rogue
Deuce, the Tiefling Barbarian-Monk
Jack, the Goliath Fighter
Epel, the Halfling Druid
Ortho, the Fairy Bard
Sebek, the Aasimar Paladin
Other important note:
Yuu/MC is the DM
Grim is in charge of controlling the monsters and is basically the DM's assistant during combat.
Now, let's move on to the Campaign.
Campaign 0 would take place at the supposed "Final Boss" where at this point, the players are given little to no context other than they're a group of adventurers on a mission to defeat the BBEG.
The party fought with all their might, but is ultimately defeated and they all lost their lives.
It was at this point that everyone is told to close their eyes as their souls drift into the void.
"As you stand alone in the endless void, a dark mirror appears before you. A mysterious voice reached out to you from behind the mirror."
The mysterious voice offers one of them a deal to give them a chance to "change their fate" but with a very heavy price to pay. I'm talking like, really huge consequences.
And all they have to is to reach into the mirror and shake the hand of the mysterious entity.
They all hesitated, unsure of whether or not they should trust the mysterious voice. But eventually, one of them did. Still closing their eyes, they lifted their hand and the DM shakes their hand firmly and said, "the deal is sealed."
The campaign ends here.
The person who made the deal is then asked not to tell anyone and lie when asked about it so no one actually knows who did it.
Hint: the person who made the deal would rather eat dirt than admit that they care about their friends. For now, let's call them Player X. They are doomed to pay a heavy price by the end of this campaign btw :)
The next campaign started right at the beginning of their adventure and how they all met for the first time.
With how little they were given context in the previous campaign, no one actually knows what's going on and just plays along.
The only person who knows that they went back in time and is given context after Campaign 0 is of course, Player X.
Player X knows what's gonna happen in the campaign, but they were only told about what happened in the previous timeline so even the DM won't know what the other players' actions and outcomes are in this new timeline.
Player X is also allowed to interfere with canon events but not without grave consequences.
And so, their adventures began.
Yea, that's basically it for now.
