actually now that i think about it it pisses me off SO much that nintendo was hyping TotK as "incredibly dark" story-wise, and then having an ending that erases all of that built up tension by (SPOILER) restoring zelda and giving link his own arm back (even tho rauru said he had to REPLACE IT LIKE???)

i think a better way to end it would've been having zelda unable to transform back, HOWEVER, they were able to restore her sense of self and ability to speak-- she could no longer live among mortals but at least everyone could find closure through it

if not that, then turn her back but not all the way, have her keep draconic traits that will never let her be identified as just hylian ever again, they could even give her minor amnesia and set up an implied post-game link-taking-care-of-her/restoring-her-memory thing

and link's arm should've at the very least been scarred to hell if it HAD to be "restored" i still think he should've kept rauru's arm tbh

anyway, back on topic, TotK NEVER gave me an emotional heartstring jerk the same way Midna's Lament, the credits scenes of MM, or Byrne's sacrifice all made me feel. and these moments are all in different games, spirit tracks arguably being the most lighthearted in the series

there were PLENTY of moments of AWE in TotK-- the leadup to the Wind Temple and Colgera, Rauru's sacrifice, Ganondorf's fight-- but not one single moment made me actively sad outside of dragon tear 13-- before i knew zelda would be fine

"but Cy, Midna was fine in TP so it's the same as zelda in TotK" yeah, but at the end of the game she still ends up sacrificing her connection to the light for the sake of protecting everyone she'd come to care about, plus the emotional weight of Midna's Lament was so much stronger because it was happening IN THE PRESENT. in my first playthrough, i assumed that segment was timed in some fashion which added to my stress and worry for midna, making the scene leagues more impactful

at the end of the day, there isn't one single thing that happened in TotK that was sad AND lasting. lurelin falls, but nobody's harmed and you can restore it. the four regions have mini calamities on their hands, but beating the temples reverses ALL their effects. you can argue that there is lasting effects on hyrule-- namely being chunks of sky rock plunged into the surface-- but that's not sad, it's just unfortunate

nothing in TotK REMAINS dark, and that's what bothers me the most about nintendo saying it's "the darkest in the series" because it's a bold-faced fucking lie

Seasons of Love Challenge

If you want a mini-challenge that centers on romance, story, and gameplay, then this might be the perfect challenge for you! I introduce to you, the Seasons of Love Challenge! Pair up or create four pairs and be the matchmaker and the writer of their destiny. Get indulged with their story and help them find love by the end of the season!

For each season, we have different couple that may or may not fall in love before the season ends. I recommend that you edit the in-game season length, it can be up to 7, 12, 21 or 25 days per season, depending to you. This challenge can either be rotational or generational, it’s completely up to you.

Feel free to remove and add some more activities to the following. These are not really rules, but more like guides or checklist that you can do so that you won’t run out of ideas to do for each round, and hopefully, help progress the relationship of the each pair.

For those who prefer slow-burn romance (like me!) there’s a Slowburn Romance Edition by the end with some set of rules, be sure to check that out! This is supposedly a personal challenge for my game, but I thought it would be nice to share it with the community. SUMMER

trope: enemies to lovers

backstory:

- sim A is demoted from her work because of her hotheaded nature, and was assigned in this town where her grandparents/(or) sister live. She absolutely hates that, she wants to go up the ladder and build her name, but how can she do that now that she's demoted and stuck in this town?

- sim B is carefree and enigmatic, living his life to the fullest. He used to get sick a lot when he was a child and now that he's a teen and rarely gets sick anymore, he wants to break free from those restrictions and do the things he hasn't done in his childhood.

how things started:

~ Just few days before his birthday, sim B is feeling rebellious and wants to spend the best of his teenage days, even if that means breaking the curfew. So, he stayed out late with his friends to party and even went to the beach and lit some fireworks just before he go home. But, on his way home, the police patrol saw him! He knew he's so screwed, but what can he do? He plead with the cop, which happens to be Sim A, but she don't take any of his bullshit. Which eventually leads to some misunderstanding, fight and disliking each other. Guess the last of his teenage day is remarkable afterall, especially if you're being escorted back to your house in police car.

~ If things aren't already worst as they are, he, unfortunately, bumped with the same cop again when she joined the surfing/scuba diving club. Oh well, guess they have to see each other a lot now. Will this be the perfect summer as he imagined, or will it be totally ruined because of that one hot-headed cop?

Sim B moved to a different part of town and became more distant as she found new circle of friends, and eventually, had a boyfriend. She thought it was forever! Only to find out that she's pregnant with someone who totally, totally dislikes children. So, she runaway from home and found herself back to the small apartment where she was raised, back to where sim A lives just next door.

~ Sim A was surprise to see Sim B again. He always wanted to make up and be friends with her again, but he always felt shy and small when he sees her with her new set of friend and popular boyfriend. Now that she's back, will he finally have the courage to talk to her again?

~ Moreover, can Sim B raised this child alone? And will she find comfort again with the boy next door?

But things took a drastic change when Sim B suddenly disappeared when his father died, leaving him to live with his mother in France, leaving sim B behind. Sim B never expected this, she never expected to bear a child with Sim A as well. She can't seem to find him anymore, but still, she decided that she will raise this child.

~ Years later, Sim B discovered that their child was sick and only had a few months left. Pile with grief, the kid is constantly looking for his/her father as well. Sim B doesn't want to let her child rest without seeing his/her father. So, again, she tried to look for him. And she found him! Turns out that he's now a rockstar in France, with a name and career. After knowing all of this, he quickly booked the ticket back to their town.

~ Will him coming back after years of disappearance mend their broken hearts and finally build the family they've dreamed? Or will they stay together just for the sake of their dying child?

She’s a loner, more now that her mother, her only bestfriend died. I love these womens. But the adaptations really ruined them.

Give me back the Daenerys, Rhaenyra, Rhaenys, Laena, Baela, Rhaena and Helaena Targaryen of the books...

They made Daenerys a final villain due to some madness out of nowhere.

They made Rhaenyra passive and dislike her womanhood (experiencing a random violence from her husband).

They tried to make Rhaenys a pseudo wise figure who doesn't want war when in the book she was the one who wanted to go to war with the dragons, not Daemon.

Laena literally died as a result of giving birth to Daemon's stillborn son (like many women of the era that inspired Fire and Blood), and took her last breath trying to join Vaghar in flying a last time. She was also Rhaenyra's best friend and generally had a visibly happy marriage with Daemon while it lasted, even if it wasn't true love. And how does the series handle this ? Laena is not Rhaenyra's best friend, this role is given to Alicent. Laena and Daemon have a marriage that works but also seems to have problems, and above all, she is burned alive by her dragon... As if that was more badass than facing childbirth I guess ?

They made Baela's look super generic even though she is a tomboy in the book, she actually has short hair in reality, plus they tried to change her into a mini Laena when Baela has always been a female version of her father Daemon.

Rhaena is literally the last dragon rider until Daenerys and she has almost no dialogue, her only personality trait that stands out is that she has relationship problems with Daemon due to her lack of a dragon which she therefore wants to fill, whereas in the book, these two never had a problem and what's more, Daemon himself didn't have a dragon before claiming Caraxes during his adolescence, so it makes no sense that the lack of Rhaena's dragon causes relationship problems between them. They therefore make Rhaena yet another gratuitous victim of men.

Even Helaena had potential according to the book. Clearly a big mouth.

But the misogynist sources weren't interested in Helaena or her personality. And what did the show do with it ? Well almost never made her speak except to deliver stupid prophecies because they thought it would be a good thing to make her a dreamer...

Kill me.

But this edit is still fabulous.

The fact that Daenys, the child who most resembles Alicent, is the most Velaryon of her siblings is so hilarious to me. It’s like “hey Alicent? Yknow all those times you talked shit about Luke and his bastardy? Well you’re getting a lookalike who will live and breath the sea.” Do her brothers and sisters get jealous of the fact that she has those Velaryon tendencies, making her in some ways closer to Luke than others who have more Hightower traits/interests? I feel like sometimes these kids brag about how much like Luke they each are, but none of these can really beat Valerion and Daenys. Val has the looks, Daenys has the Velaryon soul. No one else can really compete.

alicent is so ready to have a mini me since rhaenyra got one and she’s totally not jealous but daenys ends up being more of a baela type and alicent is punching the air over it. don’t get her wrong, daenys is still a bit of a girly girl cuz it’s hard not to be when ur kepa can buy you the world, but you’re more likely to find daenys soaking her skirts in the sea as she plays than doing embroidery. corlys will be on the verge of death but the moment he sees infant daenys making grabby hands at his ship models? “she must be a velaryon in name as well,,,”

maegelle infodumps about voyaging meanwhile daenys is trying to build a ship out of scrap wood. luke gets so nostalgic over it. he never really wanted to be lord of the tides but seeing his daughter fall in love with the sea makes it his mission to give her the best education about it. he pulls his former heir card more than once so daenys can sit on a ship and pretend to command it. valerion is luke’s little dragon rider but daenys is the mermaid of summerhall

i think your idea that viserys named naerys after rhaenyra it's so sweet, i'm crying it rare seeing such lovely post in this fandom especially about viserys since for some reason people say he hated his mother

do you have more ideas or headcanon like that? if you do i would love to know

People only think Voserys hated his mother bc they have poor critical thinking skills. He and Aegon mourned her their whole lives. She loved them and raised them to be phenomenal princes and kings. I don't particularly like Viserys II but I can't deny he's effective.

As for other similar headcanons... hmmm....

I think Rhaenyra and Daemon would've had more kids if they'd been able- and girls would've been names Visenya, Alyssa, and Aemma.

I think Rhaenyra specifically.picked Mornong's egg for Rhaena because the lovely pink and strong black made her think of her stepdaughter.

I think that while Baela and Rhaena obviously love and miss their mother and carry many of her traits, I think that while Baela is Daemon's mini-me, Rhaena is Rhaenyras. I've had that hc since the book- and in the show, Rhaena often matches her dresses to Rhaenyras, and from what we've seen of her in s2 she's started styling her hair similarly to how Rhaenyra did at her age, and appears to be wearing Rhaenyras gold necklace from her wedding (or a very similar one!)

Rhaena had six daughters with her second husband and I firmly believe that while Baela named her daughter Laena, Rhaena defied political niceties, and named one daughter Rhaenyra. And perhaps another daughter was named a feminine version of Lucerys- to honor her first betrothed, who she clearly had a good relationship with.

I think that Luke and Rhaena would have made a fantastic Lord and Lady of the Tides- and Baela and Jace would've been among the best rulers Westeros ever had.

I also will die on the hill that if she hadn't been so deeply sabotaged and destroyed by grief and betrayal, Rhaenyra would've been a solidly good queen.

I think that Cregan, Jace, and Baela would've been the OT3 to end all OT3s and I honestly think Cregan mightve considered staying south to be Jace's hand, if things had played out differently.

I definitely think Aegon3 wanted to name his sons for the brothers he lost, but was pressured out of it due to the political unrest. And honestly, sadly, I do think Viserys would've been the one to dissuade him, and that likely would've deeply damaged their relationship

I headcanon that every time Rhaenyra had a child, Syrax laid a clutch- their bond is shown to be so deep to the point that they share paim, and Rhaenyra shows a deep love and respect for Syrax. Honestly all of team Black show their dragons a lot of love and respect- unlike team Green who sort of just use their dragons as tools of war and naught else.

I think if things hadn't ended how they did, Aegon 3 would've claimed Grey Ghost. Their personalities suit one another so well! Rhaenyra would've been so proud, and Daemon would've helped him every step of the way. (Side note, @spreta-invidia wrote the Best aegon3 fic quite literally ever, and he and Grey Ghost... 👀 anyways you should read the fic)

Idk I have a lot of Targaryen headcanons, particularly for Rhaenyra and her family bc they're my favorites of House Targaryen. If you'd like any more feel free to shoot me another ask- but I tend to kinda error 404 when questions are vague so if there's anything specific you'd like to know my headcanons about that'd be super helpful lmao

yikes i just saw a solas post that was like "yall hate solas bc he's neurodivergent coded!" and said that he didn't lie. firstly, solas is the epitome of neurotypical actually, he's just reclusive bc he's surrounded by, in his eyes, shadows of the ghosts of his people, and by some extention sees himself as not a person anymore. not even a fraction of what they used to be. he doesn't see anyone except an inquisitor that befriends or romances him as real people. cole tells you this much about him. his goal once you meet him again is literally to destroy life as we know it to attempt to bring back HIS people.

secondly, solas lied A Lot. A whole lot. Bc a lie of omission is still in fact, a lie. he lied about everything you asked him about in the beginning by not telling the inquisitor the full story. It was HIS orb that blew up the temple of sacred ashes, and he gave it to corypheus bc he couldn't unlock it himself. All you get from him at ANY point in the game is that the orb is elven in origin. If you befriend/romance him, he'll tell you it was his orb. Thats it. BIG lies of omission there. plus I'm almost positive the elvhen artifacts solas has you activate are actually mini bombs that'll shred the veil when he's ready to tear it down, and not, in fact, artifacts that strengthen it. thirdly. I adore solas. He's my favorite character in the entire dragon age series, but I'm so tired of people either completely villifying him bc they only see things in black and white, or completely woobifying him and making him into a sweet innocent uwu elf boy which he is not.

Solas is a genius, utterly ruthless tactician who will use any means necessary to achieve any goal he sets his mind to. There's not a single doubt in my mind he's going to do some horrible shit in dreadwolf in the name of reviving arlathan, but you also need to remember he's grieving. Poorly mind you, because he's using his self assigned duty to the People as a distraction from his pain and loss and sorrow. He's beautifully complex that way and stripping any of those traits away from him to make yourself feel better about liking or hating him does a huge disservice to the writers and the character himself.

I project onto Carnelian a lot by giving her some of my traits like not liking change even if she wanted it to happen, so she is Asexual. She uses she/her pronouns but appears very masculine and is a girl kisser. She loves women‼️

OKAY. NOW FOR NUMBER 13!!, this is difficult because there's many possibilities.

13: favorite friendship dynamic?

Dear LORD I would have loved to see more of Umber and Carnelian interacting. Literally SECONDS after Carnelian realized her and Umber fought in the war together she was standing next to him and almost the rest of her existing panels. Like look at this!! Literally besties:

And since it's stated that Umber and Turtle became friends, I think it would be cute if they had this mini friend group with just the three of them. And they all made matching bracelets together with certain items to represent each other, tui told me herself you can't lie to me.

And I really like the idea of a platonic relationship with her and Moon, but we all know I'm a sucker for their romantic dynamic, haha. But I'll talk about a platonic relationship anyway. I didn't understand at first why they were put together since your clawmate is supposed to help you improve. But then it kind of just clicked in my brain the Moon rarely talks, she's calmer than most dragons but she's also determined, while Carnelian is in a bitchy mood and feels the need to prove herself to someone to seem fit for war, or to become the next skywing general. And you can see that it was working because the day she ironically died, she was being less bitchy to everyone and seemed more comfortable than usual. But Moon couldn't have helped Carnelian become more comfortable with herself if Kinkajou wasn't put into their cave. Kinkajou helped Moon realized that talking to dragons is better than sitting alone like in the rainforest.

Also, a friendship between Winter and Carnelian would take a while imo. But I think they would gain respect for each other because they both want to look out for their new family, and they both created a persona to disguise how insecure they were about themselves.

You know, S-Crocodile has the potential to be an interesting addendum for Crocodad bc Crocodile just learned that his son is alive, and then two years after that, boom: clone Lunarian baby (who's also technically kinda sorta Luffy's half-brother?). The thing is, even if Crocodile bridges the gap between him and Luffy, Luffy's not the baby boy that Crocodile lost so long ago. He can take care of himself, has an entire crew to lead, and they may not see each other except for rare occasions. Crocodile didn't get to raise Luffy and will never get that time back. But S-Crocodile is a still a child who will likely have zero clue what to do without the programming and, since baby crocodiles are famous for loudly calling out for their mothers, may be desperate for a parental figure.

S-Crocodile is not a replacement for Luffy by any means, but more like a second kid had later in life who Crocodile was never expecting but who gives him the chance to parent in a way that he couldn't before.

See this is a much sweeter idea than me being like "what if Crocodile dies without getting to really experience being loved by his family/a community and have people care about him and so instead Luffy/other people end up projecting those feelings onto S-Croc and make sure he gets the love and community Crocodile never got to have"

Everytime I think about the lost time Crocodad implies I just die a little inside. Like Dragon might not have gotten to be with his son either, but at least he got to spy on Luffy on occassion, at least he got to check on him from afar and see him, know how he was doing, at least he knew Luffy's name. Crocodile didn't get any of that, and never will. Like you said, that time has been lost, and this hourglass can't be turned back and reset.

What is interesting though is that the Seraphim are supposed to have the personality traits of the OGs. Crocodile is quite independent, so I feel like S-Croc should be (or at least want to be, so he can appear strong etc) independent too, right? So S-Croc might want to be kind of a lone wolf, even if deep down he was sad due to his loneliness?

What's more though is that indeed, we don't know if S-Croc is pre-T or male (since he was made from post-T Croc DNA, and we don't know if Iva-chan's HRT affects DNA/those changes applied to the Seraphim). 'Cause if S-Croc is pre-T, Crocodile should know and understand how dysphoria is gonna hit S-Croc as he gets older (which is gonna be soon, since the Seraphim age faster). And like. I could see Crocodile just feeling bad for his Mini-Me because of that. I could imagine Crocodile just dragging S-Croc to Iva-chan (if there's an opportunity for it) and get that clone some T, spare him from going through the wrong puberty etc.

Point is, I feel like if Crocodile did somehow end up taking care of his Mini-Me, it might not be because S-Croc expressed a need for it. But it might be because Crocodile would be forced to reflect on his own feelings, knowing and understanding full-well how S-Croc would feel (be it about gender or loneliness), and just. Let the Dad Instincts take over, regardless of if the Seraphim likes it or not?

Ps:this is gonna be a bit long, I like flavouring my fics🤭

It was simple, honestly, you and the prince allways one at each others troaths. Even so, everyone could feel the tension between the two of you.

It didn't matter if it was in a room or even outside. When you and Aemond shared a space the air got thiner and atmosphere dark.

It made sense, you being the oldest daughter of Daemon Targaryen, having his blood and a lot of his personality traits.

People often saw your father in you, you even looked alike, the one my problem was, you were a bastard.

The basic story, your father slept with the mom you don't know to this day and had you, he took you and raised you.

Fortunately you looked identical to him, but it was very suspicious that a few years later Daemon showed up with a mini him. Back to the story.

You like your dragon a lot, so that made Aemond pretty jealous. I mean, he had no dragon and you were so happily racing yours with his brother?

Whenever he said your name a bitter taste laid in his mouth. But how good he felt when he got the largest dragon alive, he felt like he kicked you in the face with a bold move as such.

When his nephew,Lucerys, bow your step-brother, took his eye you stood by, simply watching it unfold.

You found it amusing so you didn't interfere.

Because of that, many called you unwell in the head, but you only took those as compliments, making you more unique than Alicent or the other basic people that talk shit at court.

As years passed and you got older, and in many people's eyes, more attractive, you became even more wild.

You adored chaos, violence and having enemies.

Daemon could never be more proud, especially since you disobey him pretty frequently, that kinda sucks,but it shows him your from head to toe his daughter.

Not a day passes that he thanks himself for taking you with him.

What more can he ask?

Most of the time Otto, refers to you as a devil, while Alicent glares in disgust. Oh how you wish to wipe that smug of their faces.

You considered killing Alicent and her father, but than were would be the fun in watching them fuck up everything?

What you found more funny is when Aegon had company over, oh how many times you caught him fucking like a rabbit. He often suggested you to join in which you replied that if you will, by the next morning he will wake up next to his severed cock.

You laughs at face he made, sometimes you terrified even him.

Years went on and Daemon married Rhaenyra. You liked her, she was a nice company. This was, of course after Laena died, you liked Laena to, after all she was the one who gifted you your dragon as a child.

You were taught high Valeryan, but also sword fight and battle strategy. If anyone said anything about you marrying some excuse of a man you or your father would bring their tongue for a collection.

In concussion danger and chaos was written all over you.

Fortunately, you didn't spend much time in kings landing, since your family lived at Dragon Stone.

But the few times you visited you would constantly challenge the second prince.

Making rude remarks, insulting his mother whenever you got the chance.

But now that the king died? Now that Aegon usurped the throne, oh how you waited for this.

It saddened you to hear that Rhaenyra lost her baby,and your half sister.

It even raged you the reason.

You blamed Aegon, now you wanted to kill him.

It's funny how you don't actually need a reason to fuel your urge to kill.

Soon enough, Rhaenyra took the rightful crown, having a lot of houses support her.

At first she wanted to send Lucerys and Jacaerys, but Daemon suggested sending you alone.

"No,we both know how it could end if (Name) went alone, it would automatically start a war."

Daemon smirked, how he loved the reputation you carved out for yourself, but he didn't give up, in fact, he hoped you would start a war. To fuel his dragon blood for adrenaline and murder.

"Than perhaps she should acompany young Lucerys, you never know what could happen. My queen."

Barely convincing her she let the two of you go.

Before sending you, she made the two of you to promise not to go as fighters.

You went as lucerys's protector. With one final hug, Rhaenyra gave Luke the paper with her declaration and send you on your way.

Daemon nodded at you as you smirked, mischief on your face.

Once you landed and noticed Vhagar excitement took over you. If he was here ,it means the greens got ahead of you.

After you were brought inside, your eyes landed on Aemond.

Luke spoke with Boros, but you payd no mind, your eyes stuck on the white haired prince. Next to him stood a girl.

She's ugly, you thought. Even in your thoughts you were mean and unmercifully.

Soon enough things started getting heated. You only snaped back to reality when Boros yelled.

"Remind me of my father's oath?!"

his voice echoed, of course after the master read him the paper. The stupid fuck didn't even know how to read. You rolled your eyes at his tone.

You were so close to cuting his tongue off, he dares insult the queen in such manner?

You acoffed in annoyance, Aemonds eye resting peacefull on your form.

Boros continued,

"At least king Aegon came with an offer, a marriage proposal, what do you have to give child?"

You chuckled, grabing the attention of Boros and the rest of the people in the room, including Luke, who pleaded with his eyes for you to say nothing stupid.

"You call that usurper but when your rightful queen calls for you oath to her you insult her? Even more, dare request a marriage with one of her children in exchange for something you should respect?"

Oh he heard all about you, the vicious chaotic daughter of Daemon Targaryen. He didn't expect you to be here, but he knew you were your fathers flesh and blood, which scared him if he was to be honest, but if course, he would never admit it.

"You have something to say, girl? For what I know there is only one King sitting on the iron Throne, in which your mother claims to be heir but has no throne?"

A smile makes its way to your face.

"Perhaps I should bring your head to my father, but unfortunately not today... unfortunately, I swore not to come here to fight.Lucky for you, my, Lord."

The last words rolling of your tongue with venom and danger lacing them.

Your eyes look over to Aemond, you could notice how his jaw clenched in annoyance.

You only wished to challenge him further.

"After all... This happens to traitors, who work hand in hand with usurpers."

You smile viciously.

"You dare come into MY house and threaten ME?"

The Baratheon's angry voice filled the quiet room.

"Perhaps I should cut your throat in your sleep, my lord~"

Adding fire to oil, you added.

Luke looked so done with you, he knew you shouldn't have come.

"GET out! Both of you now!"

Boros yelled, not knowing if he should feel safe in his own home anymore.

"Wait."

Oh how you waited for this, you turned around, at the same time with Luke the moment you head the white haired princes's voice.

"My Lord strong,"

He continued, oh how you know he was looking for trouble. You smirked, finally some excitement.

"Did you really think, that you could just fly above the realm, trying to steal my brothers throne at no cost."

You stepped closer to Luke,noticing how Aemonds his eye lingered on you for a bit to long.

"I will not fight you,I came here as a messaged, not a soldier." Luke spoke, glancing at you. He saw the mischief in your eyes, and he was eager to leave as fast as possible before anything can go more bad then this.

"A fight would be a little challenge." Aemond spoke silently almost.

"No, I want you to put out your eye," he than took his eye patch of, exposing his sapphire eye. You must admit, it was mesmerizing.

Our allowed your eyes to take in his whole face. You must admit, the prince is handsome. Such a shame honestly.

"As payment for mine." He continued, throwing his dagger at your feet.

Aemond wondered if you would stay aside like you did when he lost his eye, no, he knows better than that, you like action.

You chuckled, moving closer.

"He will do no such thing my dear prince, not under my watch." A teasing smile shows on your face.

Aemonds face turned to fiery rage quick.

"give me your eyes, or I shall take it bastard! "

The prince lost his temper, now charging towards the two of you. Like always, you barely waited for s fight. Unfortunately for you Boros broke the tension, sending his guards to escort you and Luke outside.

You smirked, knowing he won't stop there.

Lucerys quickly made his way to his dragon Arax. Looking around you saw how bad the weather is.

Not long after Luke, you joined Caserion, your pitch black dragon.

Slowly petting his head, you climbee on him.

Soon , both of you were high in the air, Vhagar long gone.

The heavy rain landing drops on you, soaking you up.

Luke seemed pretty shaken up, so does Arax.

"Calm down little one, he shall do no harm to you as long as I breath." Reasuring him, you smile.

After a while flying you notice Vhagars large shadow.

Its funny, your dragon is her egg, would you look at that. Perhaps Caserion would be as large as her.

"Ñuhor līr gūrēnna!" Once close enough, trough the storm you could hear Aemonds angry voice. (I will take what's mine.)

You chuckle, eyeing your cousin/uncle up.

"Tubī daor kepus!"your raging voice answered like a devil. (Not today uncle)

You made a sign for Luke which way to go.

Once Luke was out of your sight you took it upon yourself to distract Aemond.

"Come uncle! Spill your rage in your dear niece! "

You maniacally laughed, having him come towards you.

"The two of you share the same debt, so I shall be satisfied with either one of your eyes. "

Choosing it's easier to fight on earth, you landed on a piece of land.

"Come fight me uncle! I'm craving for some royal blood! " you smirked, grabing only your dagger, as it was easier to move, and faster.

He landed feew meters away.

"I shall take what's mine, bastard."

The class of your weapons made you grin.

"You can try to earn it, brat."

In a quick move you got behind him, slicing his left tigh.

He turned around in a blink of an eye , sword to your neck, which you easily ducked.

Throwing your knife away and grabing your sword.

"This is fun! We should do this more often, ya know, family activity!" You chuckled as your swoeds danced together.

Aemond smirked, he wished to break you, your stupid personality and you charming face and behavior.

"I doubt you could fight me without your legs."

He spoke, a menacing look I'm his eye.

"Oh uncle, you shouldn't speak so inappropriately, after all, do you wish to fuck me or fight me?"

His one good eye widened in surprise of your lews words. You took advantage of his distraction, quickly pinning him down,point of your sword resting on his chest.

"Either way, I agree with either choice you make. Tho I am thinking, if I shall kill you or toy with you more... no, killing you would be dull. But if you ever look for a good fuck, make sure you're not seen entering my castle. "

You released him, quickly making way to your black beauty.

"Until next time, uncle~"

Once again you left Aemond frustrated and annoyed. Also with a little... Problem.

So, where has third trend come from recently to make kobolds doglike/basically anthro dogs?

Cause, I grew up around D&D and w/ the Monster Manuals so kobolds to me have always been, like, mini dragonoid beings. Or lizard/reptile like. Small, scaley and bipedal. Which is cool. Love me some lil dragon guys.

But for some reason, recently, I keep seeing them depicted as, anthropomorphic dogs (ok, I've seen it twice but, that's two whole nickels). Like, LITERALLY just bipedal dogs. Not a few dog-like traits but, straight up dogs on two legs.

I literally did not click them as 'kobold' until the show straight up said so.

And yeah yeah i know that if you really wanna get technical, kobolds would just look like, little guys b/c traditionally they're just, mischievous little sprites like goblins and brownies.

But like. Why dogs?

hey guys. Do u even care about what I have to say. Thats right baby. It’s a mini rant. Young Garmadon edition and the horrors of white boy Star Wars core.

Okay so. Erm.? I don’t like garmadons child design in the show. This guy is way too twink coded as a young adult for me and that’s wrong. He’s a beast. And also))??? Lots of paragraphs on Wu depression. Thats the synopsis now look below for further horro r

Hello??? Dang man tatooine is calling ???? IM. SORRY THAT WAS MEAN. I’ve always felt like the spinjitzu bro books did a better job with his design, but brunette just isn’t it. Black hair. Right now. Make it naturally white but also make him fucjing stupid so he dyes it with Ink because he doesn’t want whit4 hair cause he’s DUMB.

Look alive. Make him wear a ponytail and give him the black dyed hair COWARDS.

Anyways that parts over. Now I’m going to talk about my issues with how people draw him in his human form a lot.

I feel like the twinkification is real. All human designs I’ve found of Garmadon that don’t use legos ambiguous yellow color are pasty white and this madness must STOP!!! I think if u wanna make him a cracker it’s ok. It’s fine. But it is a little boring seeing the same designs scatter my Garmadon picture wall(/J I DONT HABE THA)

‘And also while I’m at it, I’m gonna be real and say that any design for wu in the series is pretty good. Still mad he looks like a normal guy. TBH. Many fan designs give him more dragon like traits, and I think that’s so cool, but I’ve always had a specific idea I’ve never seen executed personally. I think Wu would chop his horns off if he had them permanently out.

Wu clearly isn’t a fan of just showing off his dragon or Oni traits. He straight up doesn’t do it, even as a kid (he should honestly be shown with those traits cause he really doesn’t give a fuck as a child) and I believe that his tormented old man position (see the many drawings and tweets from the shows authors and writers) he wouldn’t exactly be drawn to having his traits on display. The completely reasonable solution? Scar himself permanently by wacking them off with a blade. Sounds like something he’d do in young adult hood. His horns being out insinuates he can’t just shapeshift to make them go away, so erm!! Pretty smart solution ngl!!!

In one of the spinjitzu bro books Wus soul is forced into a little puppet. At the end of the book, the puppet is still alive and moving. When the ninja ask to see a puppet show before Wu recounts this, he has a physical reaction.

so. Wu is having a great time. Also, in one of the comics (forgot the name and I can’t for the LIFE OF ME remember where I read this) he confronts. Basically the embodiment of his fears. Basically he doesn’t want to become like his SHIT father who is literally god. leave him ALONE.

So. Uhm. In conclusion. Whirlwind (wus canon nickname) and Softie (Garmadons canon nickname) need to get their shit together <33333333

so I saw bidnat’s post about MudWings and that inspired me to do something similar but with the coast AshWings, to at least start giving a clearer picture of what they look like. Basically they are spiky and bastard rip off seawings. Obviously I couldn’t show the variety in markings or shapes or colors, but this gives a good overall view of the basics. I plan to do this with the other quivers, with similar simple black and white style, and if my writing is hard to see, click the image or ask away!

Hehe so basically here’s some stuff that I said in the drawing plus some extra things under the cut (if there are typos here or in the drawing im going to die)

-their coloring is most commonly grayish or very washed out blues, although browns or other similar colors aren’t rare

-they have very good night vision, and their nictitating membrane protects their eyes when attacking. They also have sclerotic rings in their eyes that provide structure when diving in deeper waters

-their front talons aren’t webbed, unlike the back ones, but both have very resistant pads, a vestigial trait from early FrostWings

-their speared tongues are around double the length of their heads, and very useful when catching prey or even in claw to claw combat. It works as an unholy fusion of a goose’s tongue and a chameleon’s, being able to shoot it out it very rapidly and pierce it’s objective with it’s hard barbs. i do not know how they can still speak normally lets just leave it at cartoon logic

-their tales are flat and kinda broad (think of a moray eel) and so their spines are also flatter compared to the other quivers’ spines. The ones at their back are bigger and make some sort of sail like mini spinosaurus

-a few of them have barbs in various parts of their bodies, most commonly in their limbs, torsos, backs and tails. These can bristle and make them harder to attack to bigger foes such as other dragons or sea snakes. A very small percentage of them can have toxins (based on how catfish also have barbs)

-they have sonar like cetaceans, which is used to navigate and locate potential prey or threats. They can also use ‘’whale songs’’ to communicate short and simple messages to each other over large distances, as up close they use sign language or throaty noises like growls, although the latter form of communication can also only be used for very basic phrases. Their songs sound similar to an actual whale’s, but not quite the same, being more ‘’gravely and deep’’

-they can drink saltwater, as their systems are built for processing all the excess salt, but they still prefer to drink fresh water when available

-they also have a very good sense of smell because sharks

-something VERY important is that quite a few of these traits aren’t completely homogeneous in their respective quivers. For example, one individual may have the paddle shaped tail, but no barbs or fin tissue, while another has the barbs but slightly rounder and shorter wings, plus an unusual set of whiskers on their snout, something that barely any other coastal ash wing has
