Ended up watching this for the first time this morning, and Chris talks a lot about Charlie in it. I’d had no idea - for instance - that it was actually Charlie who’d insisted that Matt’s exhaustion should be made visible throughout the S1 hallway fight, which is such a huge part of what made it feel so grippingly realistic. As always, the amount of thought and work Charlie put into playing Matt Murdock is just tremendous. 😎❤️
(Excerpts re: Charlie)
The show has always paid close attention to the fight moves of a character. What are your personal favourite moves to do from your respective characters?
My answer is going to seem really lame...the reason that my answer is going to be lame is because every single move that we do as Daredevil is my favourite. Reason being, the moves that we do on the show are more than just moves. A lot of the time choreography feels like choreography; it feels like you’re just doing a dance, which is fun and it’s really cool and dynamic and exciting to watch, but I think there’s truly something special about when the movements tell the story.
And every single step of the way in Daredevil, there’s a lot of thought put into the movements in the show, from the writing to the choreography and Charlie’s always really, really on point about the thought process that goes into the movements, and he’s always really quick to bring up, “Why would I turn and do this move when I don’t see?” I’m not looking for the move; I’m reacting before I have to look at it. So there’s just a lot of really, really cool, clever, small movements in every fight that, to me, make it a lot deeper and a lot more exciting than just typical choreography.
Did you communicate a lot about the mood of the character before the stunt scene?
Absolutely. I believe I had more interaction with Charlie regarding what Matt Murdock was feeling throughout every piece of action more than I’ve ever had with any actor on any project. And I think that shows. Charlie really, really put a lot of thought into where he was at every moment of every piece of action, so if we choreographed something that was really dynamic and exciting, but didn’t really match the tone going into it, he would let us know, “Hey, you know, the scene started off...” A great example of it is the first hallway fight from season one.
We choreographed an awesome, awesome fight, and Charlie looked at it and loved it, but he was like, “The episode starts off with him bleeding in a dumpster. He’s definitely not at 100%.” So he’s like, “Throughout this fight, I want for people to feel how tired and fatigued and basically on his last limbs he was.” And that’s really what made the fight so good.
So the communication as far as the character, the mood, the tone, that was there for every piece of action, whether it was one move or a thousand moves. There was a lot of thought put into it.
What’s your fav stunt you did and the most impressive one Charlie did himself?
.....In three seasons of Daredevil, and a season of Defenders, I am fully convinced that Charlie can do absolutely anything. And, uh, don’t tell too many people, but he doesn’t need a stunt double. He could absolutely do all of his own stunts.
Some of the most incredible things he did: There’s a move called a palm spin. It’s a free running move that a lot of parkour and tricksters and lots of people learn, but it’s not an easy move. You basically jump at a wall with your hands like this, and then your hands stay where they are, and your body spins around you hands, so it’s like doing a side flip with your hands in place on a wall. Charlie learned that move in about thirty seconds.
We were in a room of stunt people, and he didn’t believe how impressive it was, and I asked if anyone else in the room could do that move. There was, like, one other person out of the thirty stunt people that can actually do a palm spin. So that was really, really impressive, but even more impressive than that...
There was a fight - season three, episode eleven or twelve - when Matt Murdock and Ray are making their way through the traffic jam. Charlie and I thought it would be really funny to have Matt Murdock fight the biggest person in the short bus. And so at the end of the entire fight, we fight a 6′10′’ henchman in this tiny little school bus. And, mostly as a challenge to myself, I put in the choreography a Webster axe kick, which is basically a front flip with an axe kick, just to see if I could do it in a tiny condensed space, and I was able to pull it off.
Well, Charlie saw me do that, and he was like, “Mmm, do you think I could do that?” And, you know, again, Charlie can do anything, so it took us about five minutes for him to learn how to do it, and if you actually watch that fight it’s Charlie doing that move. He throws a front flip in a space that’s so narrow your shoulders have to kind of squeeze in between the two seats, and he throws an axe kick where if he kicked any higher he would have kicked the ceiling, and if he kicked any lower, he wouldn’t actually have done the move. So that was the most impressive move he did. But again, there’s quite a list.
What are your favourite memories working with Charlie and Elodie and each other?
it was actually the first piece of action we all did together. In season two episode five, I believe, the first time we actually see Elektra, Matt is in Fogwells, just kinda training, and Elektra shows up and they have a very flirtatious sparring match. That was really, really cool, because [of] seeing all of the dynamics work out for the first time.
Lauren and I have worked together for over a decade. I’ve known her for a really, really long time. We’ve been friends forever, but it was really cool working together as these characters for the first time. It was also the first time I’d met Elodie, so seeing how she interacted both with me and Charlie was awesome. And it was just a really cool way to get to know each other really fast, and it was a really fun scene. You know, you get so used to kicking and punching and taking big, huge reactions that changing it just a little bit and having a fun sparring match as opposed to a fight-your-life kind of fight, was a fun little change of pace.
Which hallway fight was the most fun to film?
Definite tie between season one and season three. Season one will always hold a special spot in my heart, because it was the first one.
.....[In] season three, it was really fun to know that we had to not only match what we did in season one, but beat it. And what was really exciting about the season three prison fight is that you could actually see the results of three, four years of Charlie training and playing Matt Murdock and Daredevil and just the team being together for that long. It was really, really incredible.
I have to admit Charlie did 90% of that fight, so what was really, really fun for me was doing my part of the fight and then sneaking around getting to the monitors and watching Charlie perform the rest of it. And when we finished the third take, which was the final take, we had about forty people crammed in the room with the monitors, and the second we finished, all forty people just [had a] big group hug, and it was just a really incredible experience.
Chris, what was your first impression of Charlie?
Well, the day that I met Charlie, season one, our first scene together was just a hitting a heavy bag scene, so it was a good way to ease into the action. When I found out that I was going to be doubling him, I did some research and I watched Stardust and Boardwalk Empire. And at first I thought that Charlie was a skinny guy. You know, he looks like he used to carry himself around 160 or so, and when he walked in for his first day of filming, he came in just super, super fit. I mean, he had to be 180,185 pounds of solid muscle. So, my first impression was, “Oh crap! I better start doing some curls.”
I went over on the side and grabbed some sandbags and started lifting to try catching up to him. And when he first started hitting the heavy bag, I was all ready to start coaching him along the way, because a lot of actors don’t have that much experience with martial arts stuff, but Charlie cheated. He had a personal trainer that was not only teaching him how to lift and everything like that, he also was teaching him boxing, so when he walked up to the heavy bag, right off the bat he just started wailing on it, and I was like, “This is going to be a fun show.”

"No, no, no! Listen you can't just say something like that and think oh that's fine I'm just going to move on from the conversation now as if it were nothin'!" Maggie waves her hands in the air, wildly, while her rant had begun to take hold. "Vampires can totally beat a werewolf- easy!" Somewhere in the distance a certain purple haired woman sneezes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
❝ ━ If we're being honest, I can see why you'd think that. But you also have to think about the type of werewolves and the types of vampires we're talking about. Some vampires, with age comes power, so I can see them being on par with werewolves. Some werewovlves, those who are changed probably don't hold the same power as those with the lycanthrope gene. ❞ Danya hummed, resting his chin on his fist, gazing at Maggie from behind the lens of his glasses. ❝ ━ It depends on a myriad of factors, but I'd be inclined to agree, but it's been a while since I've last seen the two species go hand and hand. My mother could kill several werewolves by herself, but if she consumed bad blood, I can see her losing. Werewolves are just big, angry puppies. ❞

Lucifer SFW
Just some A-Z SFW for the occasional adorkable King of Hell
Here on masterlist 10
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Super affectionate!! Peppers you with kisses and everything
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Chances are Luci would meet you if he’s ever visiting Charlie at the new hotel and sees you as one of the sinners living there
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
He’s the cuddle bug master, just holding onto you like glue
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
I’d imagine as King of Hell has others for domestic tasks, but he enjoys the domestic life and wants that peace and love with it
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
Oh he will NOT be handling breaking up well AT ALL 💔 like we’re talking tears and asking “did I do something wrong?”
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
Man’s still wears his wedding ring after a seven years divorce/separation, he makes good on his commitments
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
Very gentle and loving, there’s an air of love to his aura around you.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
Those anaconda squeeze type of hugs and burying his head in your neck/hair.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Oh he wants to say it first so bad, but it all depends on when and how YOU want to say it, and Luci respects that
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
Short fuse jealousy! Anyone so much as looks at you if you’re together and they’re getting smoted
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
Passionate, deep kisses or quick little pecks
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
Has a bit of an awkward charm to him that may be hit or miss with some kids
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Mornings are total “let’s just lounge in bed” all day type of thing
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
Nights are intimate and sweet, spending time together over a glass of wine
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
I’d feel Luci would open up faster to you than you would, part of his loneliness, but he respects your boundaries
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
He’ll only be “angry” if someone tries to pull anything with you, but has considerable patience with you.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
Luci can rattle off facts about you like it’s nobody business, just speaking about you adorably and what he loves about you
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
The first time you said “i love you” to him, he said it first a while back in the early stage
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Given how he is with Charlie, you are also important and incredibly precious to him and wants to protect you
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
You’re getting the full Royal Treatment from him. Gifts, candies, conjured flowers and trinkets and whatnot
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
Maybe being a bit overly jealous or possessive of someone
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
Well he is in charge of the Ring of Pride so he has to look good, especially if you’re coming over
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
In a way, yes. Lonely and a bit like “do you not like me anymore?”
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
If you’re a cooking type, I’d imagine Luci has a bit of a sweet tooth and loves all your baked goods
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
Maybe like an overly nonchalant person or one who doesn’t communicate or open up themselves as he does
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
Sleep starts off with cuddles, maybe some spooning, you as the big spoon most of the time

WE WERE ROBBED 😭😭😭😭😭😭
youtube
In the "Making of Wish" documentary, they stated that they cut out this scene and Star Boy mainly because Star Boy was apparently "too similar to other Disney characters" and that they wanted Asha to "solve her own problems by herself without anyone's help"
This is so hypocritical... Asha in the final film was literally just an amalgamation of the "Adorkable" Disney princess character trait and....THEY ACCEPTED THAT THEY WENT "WOKE"
In the movie, Asha ends up taking help from others anyway so it wasn't about "help", it was more about removing Star Boy and Asha's romantic chemistry. This 5 minute clip gave me more feels and actual goosebumps than the final Wish movie.... This is further proven as to why we didn't get the evil royal power couple 😭 They couldn't display romance actively if at all in woke culture and God Forbid, a female being evil and being deeply in love with her husband?!
They knew they can't keep the royal duo evil because then their agenda would die out
The "It just wasn't working" was a total excuse and a lie.
Seriously there's this another scene with evil Amaya and Magnifico and...They are threatening and elegant af AND THE CHEMISTRY WAS JUST 😭😭😭😭
youtube
We were robbed man....we were robbed....

"Disney's princess needs to have more diverse personalities!" Yes true, sure, but also
Disney's first three Princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora) are all graceful, sweet, like singing songs about dreams and wishes, and do not actively fight: "omg they're such anti-feminist caricatures!!!"
Disney's next princesses have more established emotions and personalities, alongside the establishment of the "I Want" song as applied to motives outside of love (exploration, adventure, making their family proud): "OMG Ariel traded her voice for a man, how stupid!" "Belle's so stuck-up!" "Jasmine's just a spoiled brat!"
Tiana's a dedicated hard worker, loves her family a lot, and wants her loved ones to be very happy even at her own expense and gets... totally ignored in this conversation, gee I wonder why
Rapunzel, Anna, and now Asha are a little bit awkward, silly, but exuberant and get written off as "stupid adorkable" despite the other tenets of their personalities setting them apart, like Rapunzel's creativity, Anna's dedication to her family, and how Asha strives to help those around her
Moana gets called a disobedient brat for seeing beyond her father's narrow-mindedness
Disney Princesses have many wonderfully different personalities. It's just that people are dedicated to misinterpreting them, and that's why I never take the "Disney Princesses need more diverse personalities!" comment at face value.

I'm not that thrilled about Gotham war pitying Batman against batkids but still I decided to focus on the things I liked on the latest Batman issue;
Tumblr media
1. Dick and his hilariously adorkable nightwing umderwear. Who buys panties with their own superhero logo? I hope it was a gift of Babs or Wally otherwise I'll forever lol picturing him entering a lingerie shop and asking if they have panties with the hottest superhero's logo xD
2. On the other hand, Babs nightwing mug is cute. I do wonder about her batdonuts box. Did she went to a bakery and requested a batdonuts box for the meeting of her totally normal and certainly not batfamily ? Lol
3. More important, hold the press guys!! Babs is finally allowed to wear a new shirt after of ages of wearing the same civilian clothes. One day she might be allowed to wear new trousers as well.
Tumblr media
4. Dick being such a big brother to Jason. First, he acts shocked about Jason's speech (perhaps he mocks it a bit?) and then he tells Jason not to do anything rush. If I was Jason, I would be slightly offended for the lack of trust, except that Jason knows Dick is right: he is about to do something rush xD
On a more serious note, I love how the batkids react differently to opposing Bruce.
Tumblr media
Tim and Stephanie aren't that comfortable working with Catwoman. It makes sense that Tim who is still Bruce's Robin is the most affected by his father's anger.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Babs and Jason are chill working with Catwoman and against Batman. Probably because they often clash opinions with the senior bat.
To end this batfamily post on a lighter note look how hot Dick and Jason look:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I'll cover the rest of batfamily interactions on another post bc this one got too long)

Ay MY BOY! I finally remade his ref!
English isn’t my first language, sorry in case of misspelling.
-BASIC- Age: ??? (looks like ±20 years old) Magic color: white Gender: omnigender Pronouns: he/him - they/them (may change) Orientation: homosexual
Likes: - His husbando <3 - Strawberry smoothie - TV - Hanging out with his friends
Dislikes: - The Glitch - Be called a child (as he is often mistaken for one)
Extra info: - You can read his backstory on his MASTERPOST. - His special quirk is shapeshifting. More info about it HERE (wip). - He’s ambidextrous. - Shorter than the average height of Sanses. - His blood is red (ketchup...?). - He loves puns, but sucks at making them up because of his poor dictionary. - He's a huge fan of Classic!Papyrus and Sans. Sometimes he'd try to copy their behavior. - He can talk and read wingdings. - A master in computer coding. - When he speaks he sometimes bugs and says random sentences from Undertale without even realizing it. (Example: "i like stra-BBAD TTIME-berry smoothie") - His absolute favorite show is Steven Universe. Surprisingly, he also loves violent shows with lots of blood. - A cutie patootie who is totally pacifist, but he won't let you step on him and will make sure you respect him. - He's also an adorkable anxious boy when it comes to socializing. - When he meets someone for the first time his SecurityProgram.exe might automatically activate and attack the "potential threat". Basic can try to shut it down before the disaster, but it's not so easy. If you survive, it won't happen again. This really scares Basic, making him afraid to talk to new people. - He may not see colors at all, but he knows exactly what they look like (it's sorta like a very vivid memory) and can recognize the colors of objects by their code. - When Basic uses his shortcuts he leaves a skein of glitches in the place where he was before (they’re harmless, you can get trough them easily). - He's married to Ruby by @rubytale-chapter2 ♡ - Voice example: His voice is very soft, similar to Frisks voice.

Watching the making of Wish
-Patting their backs for reusing animation as an homage. Like yeah, it’s nice, there’s work behind that, but it’s the way they say it, like: “We’ve worked hard! Trust us!” We know animation is hard and the problem with Wish was never the animation.
-I didn’t know Sabino was based on Roger from The Aristocats. I love Roger, he’s delightful. Poor Sabino just looks bland in comparison.
-They say Asha has her good and bad traits (which isn’t true) and is so brave to go against what she has believed her whole life. I've seen that done way better and with actually compelling characters.
-“She has to balance being a good friend and family member to speaking the truth and I think we can all relate to that” Well… nope. All those things can be different things. And both your friends and family should help you or at least listen to you.
-Saying that the “I want” song explains how the character is, like… duh.
-Well, yes, Ariana DeBose did great with what she was given.
-So Asha has freckles because some people of North Africa and Southern Spain have freckles… what? Any skin color can have freckles. And I can’t talk about North African people but Andalusian aren’t quite freckled (yes, that’s the name of Southern Spain). Also, I never saw her as mixed. She totally follows more of her mother’s culture. That’s why I don’t like her calling her father’s father saba. Her mother’s father would be her saba and her father’s father her abuelo.
-I love Bill Schwab’s designs, he’s a great artist. But he was only told Asha’s age, race and height. Which yeah, it’s important, but for designing a character you should think about their personality too, because that also translates into their features, hairstyle, clothes and mannerisms. We still don’t know anything about Asha. Is she shy? Likes comfy clothes? No, wait, she’s adorkable.
-They talk about Disney Princess gowns using elements from the current period where they were made (something quite interesting) but they just put the Modern twist in Asha’s hairstyle. Like, what were you afraid of?
-Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but Schwab’s just did his job with a model sheet and that was the ONLY reference they had for animating Asha for a while. Then one of them used his daughter as inspiration and then Ariana came with lots of ideas. They didn’t know how Asha moved for the longest time! Their lead character!
-They say Asha is pure energy, which is… somehow correct? Like she’s just awkward and making those weird moves and trying to be cute and funny. The movie is done and nobody knows yet who the heck is Asha as a character.
-Apparently, Asha has details of pumpkin seeds all over her clothes and she’s wearing periwinkle because of the idea of making her THE Fairy Godmother. I still think she looks better in orange.
-Seeing the voice acting outtakes was good. But now I wish the Bland Dwarfs looked more like the actors. All of them have interesting features that could have been implemented in the designs instead of making them clones of the Encanto family and the mother from Strange World.
-The first deleted scene is after Sabino retrieves his wish and he sings a song. I would have put it in the end as a farewell song with everyone joining it.
-"The Wish equation" is to have a true wish, be responsible of it and… finding support? Fight for it? Exclude fear? Accept change? What are we even talking about? A dream career?
-They say the FG gave Cinderella the dress but couldn’t make the Prince fall in love with her, so she was supporting her! Like… Cinderella just wanted to go to the ball. BAM, there you go, a new dress, WISH GRANTED. Cinderella’s wish wasn’t to make the Prince fall in love with her, she didn’t even know him yet!
-“Music happens when you’re too overwhelmed with emotion.” This clip plays AFTER a snippet of "Welcome to Rosas". I guess Asha was too overwhelmed with being late. That shouldn’t have been a song, she should have told us about Rosas in the book opening.
-They wanted it to be like a fairytale and then hired a pop composer. Like the director says she grew up with the Disney Renaissance Era. Which used Broadway music!
-They talked about this earlier but “This wish” was the song that helped them write the movie, just like "Let it go" made them rewrite Frozen. So you can tell they didn’t have much to work on, maybe an idea: “Hey, just do a fairytale about wishes for our anniversary.”
-The songwriter was so overwhelmed with the commission she had to reach a friend to help her.  Maybe because nobody actually knew what the movie was about? But hey, she’s the youngest to ever write a Disney OST.
-You know? The more I hear “This wish” the more I’m sure it’s the best song of the entire soundtrack.
-Hey, I know that guy in the archive! I’ve seen this clip before!
-I’m just hearing they didn’t know what the heck to do and dived into the archive for inspiration. I like the idea that they studied the greatest artists for some scenes, but sadly, all that is lost in the movie. They scenes are too short to appreciate the animation, but A+ for effort.
-They thought doing a fairytale illustration style was difficult to do… in 3D. Just don’t do it in 3D! Also, I don’t think it’s that difficult, Blue Eyed Samurai did something great.
-The composition is interesting and the backgrounds too, but the characters look quite bad.
-The illustration style led to the backgrounds (and everything) being in focus, which I think it also makes the movie look weird. Look at any old painting: the background is less detailed than the main focus (less brush strokes). They could have gone that direction. The backgrounds of Wish are too detailed a lot of the times and always in focus, so it’s distracting.
-BTW, most of this is: “We did this like in this movie, that like in that movie…” but, what’s original? What makes Wish its own movie?
-They talk about lines like lineart in animation, which we’ve seen it masterfully in Spiderman. But here is so subdued it doesn’t add anything.
-“Wouldn’t it be great to have a warmer climate than the one we’re used in fairytales?” Yeah, because there’s snow in Encanto and Hercules. Also, nothing tells us that’s a warmer climate. Google “Andalusia”, please. There’s flowers in bright colors everywhere, white houses, narrow streets and people, just a lot of loud and happy people. That’s Southern Spain for you all.
-At least with Frozen we CAN TELL it’s Norway. Here, there’s nothing that says SPAIN. Give us people eating serrano ham or tortillas, maybe put a bull around there, have them drink wine from botijos and play guitars!
-Again with the “this was based on this”. Rosas was inspired by The Sleeping Beauty: Germany and France. That’s a whole different architectural design! There’s no verticality as main focus in Mozarab architecture, is all about curves.
-“So it’s your fault.” Yeah, that doesn’t sound fun. I have the feeling you’re not telling a lot of things.
-You know, another Fantasia would have been great. Maybe one with all the Disney characters.
-This is now about the story of Disney, so yeah, padding. Also, way to use “At all costs” in the background. We don’t want to remember what you’ve done in the past, we just want you to tell a good story again.
-This should have been the beginning, the “wish upon a star” that put Wish in motion.
-It was going to be about the origin of the wishing star?
-“Return of Disney villain” Hahahahahahah…
-They didn’t know how bad Magnífico could be and made him do mean stuff like smashing Sabino’s guitar (they called it a guitar here).
-Also, apparently he was going to be shirtless in a scene. Like, you know, a Disney villain.
-We don’t watch him BECOME a villain, we watch a magic book CONTROL him!
-“With "This is the thanks I get" I was like, oh, yeah, we have a narcissist.”, so they didn’t know anything about Magnífico until the song was written! That’s why he doesn’t act like a narcissist much until that song and why the mirror ending felt rushed.
-“When Chris Pine came in I was like: that’s it, that’s the character.” Because they didn’t even had designed it? Like, that’s literally him!
-He did give it all to that song.
-Magnífico was an alchemist?
-“We didn’t want people to know he was evil right away.” Every poster and article: “Disney’s new villain, everybody!”.
-“Makes him more dangerous the quieter he is.” Magnífico in the end battle: eyes fully open, screaming, laughing.
-Oh, Star, here we go. He was going to be pure energy as well… just like Asha! Yeah, we were robbed. BTW, he’s not like Genie or Maui. Maui and Genie aren’t even the same!
-He could have been a fantastic creature as well. And all those designs look crazily fun. But also that’s the kind of exploration you do at the beginning of the production, not in the middle. Unless someone meddles…
-Someone went out to design different sparkles for Star but I could only see it being adorkable. Focused on the face so the sparkles weren’t even noticeable.
-“…they put their personality on it (Star)” Yeah, because none of these characters had any personality… nor have it now that the movie is done.
-People being made of stardust is one of the most beautiful scientific facts. “You are a star” is the worst song in the movie. No wonder it took so long to write.
-Nope, Doc was a leader. Dalia is just there… talking. Of course she’s a way to get the medal of  “we put a disabled character” but at least she has more personality than Asha.
-BTW, just saw the Story Artist wearing a pin with a Pride flag in the shape of a Mickey.
-“She’s just a young woman, going with her life.” “And succeeding.” Yeah, representation is good, but it’s better if you’re not talking about how good you are for doing it.
-Also, we have mixed-race representation, older people with dreams representation, etc. but hey, that girl has a crutch, we’re cool.
-“Animals in Disney have to be smarter than people.” Why? Just why? And also, Valentino is no way smarter than any of the other characters. So why say that?
-“(Alan Tudyk) He pretty much made the whole character.” Yeah, because it looks like nobody had any idea of how these characters were.
-“Inspiration can came from anywhere.” You just COPY-PASTED the ideas of others.
-“Everybody has seen me crying in the studio.” For a good or bad reason?
-Ending with a Walt quote proclaiming they always do their best job… huh…
-“It served the story better to have Amaya as a good person.” Yeah, nope. It made no sense for her to switch sides so easily.
-Sabino dying would have been such a strong way to start the story. Him stealing Asha’s diary… yep, not good.
-Reinforcing my theory that Disney wanted to move away from shapeshifters after the Nimona fiasco.
-Looks like they gave the chaotic energy Star was going to have to Valentino.
-Making any other animal talking surely was a mistake. What’s with the sassiness?
-Dalia wasn’t called like that?! BTW, the writers were so proud of her clutch not being mentioned but, in the deleted scene, it’s the first thing they do. Twice.
-“When you’re underestimated, they don’t see your power coming until it changes the world.” Whoa, just whoa. Disney writers, everybody.
-LOL, the deleted scene with the animals is so bad. But Magnífico was going to transform into a Beast, so… kinda interesting?
Here's the link, BTW.
And congratulations if you read this all. If you're interested, here are my own Wish rewrites: 1, 2.

Crowley, dear, Oscar Wilde once said that "Life is one fool thing after another whereas love is two fool things after each other," and I think that quote suits you and Aziraphale perfectly. I'll be rooting for you, just give me a moment so I can finish picking up pieces of my broken kokoro from the floor...

Hypothetically speaking, if you were part of the team who worked on "Wish" (or any other Disney animated films that you consider as bad), what are the major changes you would make?
Hey, this is my favorite question so far! 😀 I’ll make a post about it and tag you. But bare bones, for Wish?
Change the Main Idea of the Movie from “Keep wishing; you’re powerful enough to make it come true.” to “Have faith, and you’ll get more than what you wished for.”
Then, because the Main Idea’s been changed, every character needs to change so that they support the new main idea. 🤷‍♀️ (You should always make characters that support a main idea, instead of trying to wedge characters you “like” under main ideas they don’t actually support.)
Get rid of the idea of tangible wish-bubbles. Wishes are intangible, like fears and affection and a feeling of hope.
Tumblr media
Make the stars an otherworldly kingdom, where fairies and magic come from. (But keep it vague, so that it can still be associated with Neverland and Evangeline somewhere in the future.) What’s not vague is that the each star is a powerful being, but some are younger and less tested than others. The younger ones are messengers. The Kingdom of the Stars is ruled by the Council of the Stars; maybe the sun, the moon, something like that. The Kingdom of the Stars watches from above and chronicles the stories of mortals, and sometimes, when mankind needs it, they lend a magical hand that changes everything for the better.
Change the culture of Rosas to…an actual culture instead of a bunch of people standing around in a harbor castle. Make the whole kingdom a kingdom of inventors and explorers who used to have an alliance with the Kingdom of the Stars—their inventions would be magically blessed, and they’d be told where those inventions were needed most—but now they invent nothing and hide from the world and the stars because of a great betrayal and siege that destroyed their first home.
Change Magnifico so that he’s obsessed with keeping Rosas hidden and under control, because he believes their old ways, ( making inventions and the “meddling” of the Kingdom of the Stars) only brings attention from dangerous, greedy people. But on the outside, he hides his control-freakishness with a protective fatherly-like persona.
Change Amaya so that she agrees with some of Magnifico’s worldview: she thinks that their inventions will bring attention from dangerous, greedy people, but she doesn’t believe that the stars would meddle. She thinks they’re totally unhelpful and distant. She actually wants dangerous people to try and find them, so she can get her revenge—she’s been hoarding magical inventions and learning how to control them.
Change Asha’s whole family: her dad believed that the kingdom shouldn’t hide, then got sick and died. Her mom believes that even though the kingdom is in hiding, Asha would be happier if she found a way to do more than her current job. Her grandfather is basically a rebel and wants Rosas to go back to the way it was, and he’s always trying to get Asha to believe in the stars, or look at old inventions and spell books they’re not allowed to use anymore. Basically, the whole family wanted more for Asha than living in a hidden kingdom.
Change Asha: She’s not an adorkable, vaguely good shallow character. She’s more like if you took Rapunzel’s excitement about the world and buried that under layers of hopelessness after her dad died. Now she’s like the young teenage girl version of Nick Wilde from Zootopia. She no longer believes that her dreams can come true, or that the Kingdom of the Stars has any part in her life. That Rapunzel-excitement part of her is still there, deep down, and the movie is about how it gets brought back to the surface.
Change Valentino: I’d make Valentino 100% reckless, leap-first, look-later. He’s a baby goat, the only one Asha’s family was allowed to keep from their herd when they moved out of their cottage, and therefore Asha is very overprotective of him. He’s basically a manic ball of energy who gets into everything—like she used to be, as a little girl before her dad died. Valentino has zero fear and nothing but wonder and fun in his eyes.
Change Star: yeah everyone’s doing this but I think Star should’ve been kept as a person, with the ability to talk. Not because I’m sold on the idea of him being Asha’s love interest—but because I think a character who has lost her faith in magical, benevolent stars needs to have a personal relationship with one that actually cares about her, and proves it. Plus it’s about 1000 times more interesting. So he's one of those young stars I mentioned: supposed to be just a messenger, but once he gets down to Rosas, there's something keeping him from getting back up to the heavens—and he doesn't want to leave anyway, because he's convinced he's supposed to be helping Asha.
A more in-depth post coming soon! Might even have a little art.

My Dear Gangster Oppa Commentary Ep 3
Tumblr media
I know this asshole did not really say, "you're with this guy again." Bestie's opinion matters more than anyone else's, but he hasn't even met the dude! He's acting more like a parent than a best friend. Hahaha! Tew remembers who Wahl is, and he appears to not be happy about meeting him.
I didn't want to dislike Wahl, but he is pissing me off. Talking to Guy like Guy isn't allowed to make his own decisions. Not cool. This isn't concern, this is controlling. I'm about to smack a bitch. I'm not happy with you Wahl and I don't know if you can redeem yourself.
Tumblr media
I have to hand it to Tew. He is being really calm and honestly respectful despite Wahl being a douche to him. Guy, pick the one actually giving you a choice!
Tumblr media
I love these bitches. Especially the one in the middle. Muffin is such a cutie too. An apparently lonely cutie. HAHAHA! Way to cock block Guy. I'm here for it. If you stop the time at 6:04 you can catch Guy smirking.
Tumblr media
Is anyone surprised that he has to go after making a scene? Suddenly he isn't so concerned he has to take Guy home. Tom is cute, I like him.
That's right Guy! Tell of Wahl!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did one of them really call him baby face??? I predict Tew showing up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Called it! OMG, I'm Dead. Guy works up the nerve to ask Tew about what he does for a living. That the gang members seemed scared of him. "Nah, I'm just scary looking." "No. You're pretty good-looking."
Tumblr media
This is Tew's reaction.
Tumblr media
This is my reaction.
Did dumbass really say he owned a shabu restaurant. He had to know that Guy would then say he'd want to go. Seriously, driver/underling is me. Between his cough, giggle and the way he looks at Guy sleeping on Tew's shoulder.
Tumblr media
Tew is so gone. These two dumbasses are so gone for each other. Really asking him if he wants him to wash the shirt. Yes, strip right now. I'll wait. They are adorkable.
Dude is going to buy a restaurant to cover the story he gave his crush. Boy is gone gone.
Tumblr media
My reaction to that.
Did home dude really take a nap on some chairs. Hell to the naw. That makes my back hurt just watching it.
Tumblr media
Oh! I think we have a secondary couple.
Tumblr media
I already like them.
Discount Lennon is at it again. So home chick is not dead, but might as well be. Lawd, how are they not dead with that much white powder. Though I'm not sure it's the same girl. Specially since there are two now.
Did Wahl really ask Guy how he got home??? Guy doesn't tell the full truth, but doesn't lie either. Damn Wahl. You got some nerve. One month anniversary. Why don't you pay more attention to your gf Wahl?
Yay for game friends!
I would punch someone if they talked in my ear like that. HAHAH the look Wahl is giving Guy. I really want to like Wahl, but he ruined it for me. Now I'm just amused.
Tew looking scary and sexy. Niiiiiiice. Villains do it better.
Tumblr media
What's this face? Is he shocked? Is he turned on? A bit of both?
So cute! He brought him a cake.
The elevator sequence was weird. Guy concerned because he sees blood. Tew giving crazy eyes. Guy completely forgetting about the blood and turning to mush because Tew is holding his hand. But honestly, some things are worth ignoring for cake and a doting boyfriend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean, these pictures say it all. 🤣🤣🤣 So he beats people up until he is covered in blood. Minor detail in comparison to how he treats you Guy.
You ever heard the quote that an evil queen is just a princess that didn't get rescued. Tew gives me that vibe. The wounded and just wanting love vibe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hahaha Tew totally outing them. Oh! Tew was about to make his move. Too slow Tew. Tew, you know you are in love right. Guy is acting like a total dork and you are charmed. That is love.
Oh, the fall troupe again! Though with Guy being the way he is, it's totally believable. The slow mow lean forward like there will be a kiss, but instead he wipes off frosting from Guy's lip. Totally troupe and sooo good. And Guy runs away.
The guild is super cute. I like how frank Tew is. He just lays out his feelings about Wahl to Guy. Throwing down some valid facts, my friend. Ahhh Guy! Why did you let him leave like that? Oh, yay! He chased after him.
Oh, these two idiots are adorkable. So awkward and yet cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not gonna lie. It broke my heart when he didn't hug him back.
The restaurant kills me. Tew is like, it looks crappy. Underling is like, dude, it's not real. Oh lawd, sweet baby Jezebel. You are not normal about that boy, Tew. Not normal about him at all. And I'm okay with that.
Secondary couple. Not over shadowing but still cute.
Guy packing. Bet Wahl ditches him for his gf.
Guys, I'm in love with Tew. He gets it. Life is short, so important people are priority.
Tumblr media
How much is that puppy in the window.
Tumblr media
I love that Tew isn't shy to show his concern and affection. I adore that Guy didn't care about Wahl and turned around to wave at Tew. He even defends Tew. I mean, he is wrong, but that's not the point here.
Tew's excitement that Guy texted him is adorable.
Tumblr media
This is me again.
Ahhh… I'm dead. When he goes, "I'm down bad."
Tumblr media
Yes, hunny you are, but I, for one, appreciate that.
Oh, that went sideways fast. *We will talk when I get back.*
I really do enjoy Tul. He is really enjoying Tew and Guy. Me too my dude, me too. Willing to risk the wrath of his boss to tease. Love it.
Tumblr media
This face isn't making me feel secure.
In comparison, look at this puppy dog face. So excited for Guy to be back.
Tumblr media
OH no... They aren't going to leave us like this, are they?!?! Assholes!!! Nobody talk to me till next Thursday. I am not okay.
