I know this asshole did not really say, "you're with this guy again." Bestie's opinion matters more than anyone else's, but he hasn't even met the dude! He's acting more like a parent than a best friend. Hahaha! Tew remembers who Wahl is, and he appears to not be happy about meeting him.

I didn't want to dislike Wahl, but he is pissing me off. Talking to Guy like Guy isn't allowed to make his own decisions. Not cool. This isn't concern, this is controlling. I'm about to smack a bitch. I'm not happy with you Wahl and I don't know if you can redeem yourself.

I have to hand it to Tew. He is being really calm and honestly respectful despite Wahl being a douche to him. Guy, pick the one actually giving you a choice!

I love these bitches. Especially the one in the middle. Muffin is such a cutie too. An apparently lonely cutie. HAHAHA! Way to cock block Guy. I'm here for it. If you stop the time at 6:04 you can catch Guy smirking.

The guild is super cute. I like how frank Tew is. He just lays out his feelings about Wahl to Guy. Throwing down some valid facts, my friend. Ahhh Guy! Why did you let him leave like that? Oh, yay! He chased after him.

Oh, these two idiots are adorkable. So awkward and yet cute.

Not gonna lie. It broke my heart when he didn't hug him back.

The restaurant kills me. Tew is like, it looks crappy. Underling is like, dude, it's not real. Oh lawd, sweet baby Jezebel. You are not normal about that boy, Tew. Not normal about him at all. And I'm okay with that.

Secondary couple. Not over shadowing but still cute.

Guy packing. Bet Wahl ditches him for his gf.

Guys, I'm in love with Tew. He gets it. Life is short, so important people are priority.

I love that Tew isn't shy to show his concern and affection. I adore that Guy didn't care about Wahl and turned around to wave at Tew. He even defends Tew. I mean, he is wrong, but that's not the point here.

I'm going to be thinking forever about how Tew immediately fell in love with Guy when they first met in-person which explains why Tew was so quiet and awkward (despite being a badass gangster) because he literally has no idea how to handle courtship and dating but he respects and cares so deeply for Guy and it's just so adorable.

Listen, I need to talk about My Dear Gangster Oppa, because I really like what they're doing with Wahl, Tew, and Guy's characters.

Wahl's character isn't a hard clock, God knows Tew read that man for his entire fucking life in a glance. He's someone clearly trying to figure his sexuality out, and it is absolutely his right to do that at any pace he feels comfortable with and I'll die on this hill. I HATE any queer media where a character is pressured out of the closet. But what he's also done is kept Guy on the hook for years with a shitload of mixed signals. Seeing a BL where a character actually gets tired of that, where they seek something better for themselves, and gravitate towards a love that's healthier for them is so refreshing.

It sends a really good message that you shouldn't fuck with people's feelings before you figure out your own, and that maybe people who are in these situations (which is A LOT of young queer people) should maybe start thinking about what's best for them.

Also, this show is like the gay Thai version of The Guild, and I'm not even mad about it. Also, someone's paying more attention to what queer women like, because Insomnia's character is so much better queer female casting than they normally do. I feel like they're getting more and more queer voices behind the scenes fixing things up in these shows. Someone clearly asked queer women what they were into there. Dare I say focus testing was done? Because this show has a budget.

Anywho, too bad we're only three episodes in, because my work platform is under maintenance today, and I don't even know what to do with myself. I've been practicing my Spanish, but I got triggered trying to figure out why the hell tirar and lanzar aren't interchangeable, also whoever invented speaking in subjunctive is a sadist, but I digress. Anyways, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

I will never forgive those thugs for accosting Guy before he sent this message to Wahl

And I think this little, rare moment where Guy is being honest with himself about Wahl, is why he gets so defensive when Tew tells him he doesn't think Wahl is a good friend to Guy.

Because here is Tew, proving he's everything that Wahl isn't: loyal, perceptive, interested in Guy and the things he likes, and most importantly, with Guy and happy to be there!

And now, after a charged moment on the couch, where you can see Guy panic about crossing lines-- and I really think that's what happens here, he sees that this moment could be romantic, but the last time he let himself see romance and romantic interest where there wasn't any, he got hurt, and he lost Wahl in the ways that mattered.

And Tew is confronting him with something he knows is true, and he snaps, because he doesn't want to acknowledge it, and because he doesn't want Tew to see him that way -- easily discarded and still eager for more.

And it gets worse when Tew acknowledges Guy's feelings for Wahl, because if Tew sees them, then maybe Wahl does, too, and he doesn't want that-- doesn't want that final confirmation that Wahl isn't really a good friend, and doesn't want that final piece to fall into place that might make Wahl leave him.

It says a lot that Guy lets himself get angry here. He doesn't let himself argue with Wahl, and Wahl doesn't respect his anger when he does let it show. But Tew sees he's made Guy upset, and he tells him "I don't want to argue, so I'll go", in a way that's clearly about respecting Guy's boundaries, and not about manipulating his feelings (like Wahl's pouting is)

And baby boy is kind of devastated when he leaves

And then! He rushes to apologize, and to be honest with Tew, and with himself, and say out loud -- for probably the first time -- what he feels for Wahl

And he's begging Tew to understand. To understand that how Guy feels about Wahl is big and confusing. That his feelings for Wahl have been a part of him for so long that he can't let them go easily, that they have made him afraid.

That he's made himself accept the idea that he doesn't get to love like other people.

That his loneliness isn't all Wahl's fault.

And Tew? He gets it.

He understands, and uses the moment to reassure Guy, and to hint that he doesn't need to resign himself to being alone. He takes Guy's feelings seriously, and he offers the comfort that he sees that Guy needs.

And he is completely caught off guard by the hug.

Guy is so relieved. Relieved to have said it all out loud, relieved Tew is still there, and that he understands him. Relieved that Tew didn't leave or tease him or tell him he was stupid.

Relieved that this friend isn't walking away from him, that he's not too much or not enough.

And Tew... He lets Guy hug him, but he hovers. He doesn't let himself commit to wrapping his arms around Guy like he wants to. He hesitates, he lets his hand stay just over Guy, but not touching him; his hands curling away and falling aside.

He knows how he feels for Guy, and he doesn't want to put that on Guy, but he also doesn't want to let himself get too close while Guy has so many feelings wrapped up in Wahl, for his own sake.

But! He also doesn't pull away emotionally! He doesn't stop being his friend (or even try to stop pining. He bought an entire restaurant ffs)

Anyway, all of this to say that I love these two so much. They're so good together ❤️
