Tori is cold, sad, depressed Michael is warm, angry, and filled with emotion. They balance each other out. Tori cools Michael down calms Michael allowing his anger to subside she cools him down (once again the hot and cold dynamic). Michael brings warmth and happiness into Tori's life allowing her not to be so cold and detached from everything and making her hate herself a little less. They both hate themselves which is funny because they both love each other and want to be more like each other. I think they both saved each other to be honest and they know it by the end. I hope they find a way to teach each other how to live a more balanced way after the book. I really love these two characters I just wanted to dump all these thoughts somewhere I have more but there's too many and they are hard to put down and they are just swirling around. Also yeah I just finished reading solitaire at 3am and I don't regret it <3 <3

The reason I love Tori Spring and Michael Holden's relationship is because there really isn't a line between platonic and romantic, it's neither and a bit of both at the same time. And I adore that so much. Also I'm kinda scared for the next few heartstopper chapters because the solitaire events are solitaire eventing?? and I might just cry.

Michael has a lot of silly pictures of Tori and he had to promise he'll be the only one who can see them

Michael buys himself flowers and when they die he gives them to Tori because she likes them

Michael kind of forced Tori to listen to "folklore" by Taylor Swift because he knew she'll like it and she ended up fixating on "this is me trying", "mad woman" and "my tears ricochet"

They play with oliver and his tractors sometimes

Michael buys Tori silly things to annoy her and she secretly saves them

Tori likes to listen and watch when Michael plays the piano

If they ask each other to take a photo, Tori would take just one and Michael would take 100 pics (with other people too)

They hang out with Becky and Raine (Raine and Michael were surprised the first time they hung out because they have already met)

Victoria Spring hates people. She has for as long as her memory could ever possibly stretch to find. Which is why it was such a curious feat when she found herself wanting to be around Michael Holden more and more.

People don’t like Michael Holden. He’s okay with that. It’s been like that as long as he could be bothered to remember. Which is why it was such a curious feat when he found himself wanting to be around Victoria Spring more and more.

The pair met in an unused computer lab when following a trail of post-it notes (that led them to find the Tumblr blog that would terrorize their town and weasel into their minds for the next few months, that’s another story, though). The two (to the naked eye) looked like polar opposites. A cold and cynical young lady who detests social interaction, especially if it’s unnecessary, and a bright and optimistic young man who is as close to eccentric and loudly wild as anyone from a town like theirs could be. Of course, real people aren’t so black and white as descriptions like that make them out to be. Tori can be cold, cynical, blunt, and pessimistic, but she’s also a loving older sister, a caring friend, and a rather smart person. Michael can be bright, eccentric, and optimistic, but he’s also angry, sad, and loathing. The both of them can exist on both sides of the emotional scale, that’s why they work together. The “sun and moon,” but the sun is also in outer space and the moon still glows in the night sky.

Michael didn’t have any friends, Tori had a few she hardly tolerated. They may not have had a huge circle but that didn’t stop everyone from being shocked when they kissed on that burning roof. People had heard enough about those two to know that never in any universe should they have crossed paths. Them existing in tandem blew the student populations’ minds. The two were the textbook, bad sitcom, corny novel, dumb movie polar opposites, and not in a way they ever thought could be an opposites-attract thing.

Guys is Tori Soring and Michael Holden as Mavis and jonny a thing??? and if not can someone make it a thing?
