Prompt: ok so i saw a truck today and i thought it said MANSCAPE but it actually said MAINSCAPE and it was a landscaping company. but then i thought LARRY AU. where louis owns a landscaping company called MANSCAPE and harry thinks it’s some sort of in-home pubic hair grooming company, so he calls to make an appointment, there’s some discussion of whether he wants his bushes trimmed as well, and then when it’s time for the appointment, harry’s like half-naked waiting around in a robe or something and louis shows up with lawnmowers.

Do you have a list of recommendations with fics where one of them is a robot or android?

Hi darling. I don’t. The only ones I’m aware of are the two I was talking about the other day.

Bot by tomlinsunshine (NR, 2 work series 11K). Louis is the android in this series and it was a good read — I enjoyed its humor and quirkiness. But be mindful that it’s very much an open ending and not an entirely happy one.

Literally Making Love by Brooklyn_Babylon (E, 30K) this one is mine, so it’s a little hard to review it, but it’s got pining, humor, jealous Harry, bed sharing, and sexy times. And a happy ending. Harry is the android in this one.

Just to Find This Perfect Spot - alison - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] - M, 12k - childhood friends, coming of age, and the sequel Been Going Through a Lot - alison - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] - NR, 13k. There’s bits of this that are uncomfortable to read and the characters are not perfect, sometimes they make bad choices, but it makes everything so much more realistic and heart-tugging in the best way. And there are some really sweet moments as well. Very much worth a read.

Manners and Misjudgements - bluegreenish - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] @greenblueish - E, 21k - regency AU, omegaverse, enemies to lovers. I enjoyed this one so much, all the good things in here!

now i think that i could love you back - maroonmoonlouis - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] @maroonmoonlouis - E, 42k - historical AU, omegaverse, arranged(ish) marriage, enemies to lovers. I really enjoy the competitiveness in this fic. Yes, Louis. Smash it.

Hi all, I haven’t recced some fics in awhile but...today is fic writers appreciation day! And there are so many fics that I love so very much and have brought so much happiness into my life.

And it just so happens I have a personal document where i’ve kept track of fics I’ve read for the past 3-4 years, categorized by tropes. Sisterwives by jaerie

This was it, the moment Louis had been waiting for his entire life. Giddy excitement bubbled up as he held hands and stared up at his soon-to-be alpha and husband and grinned. The ceremony was small and simple, but Louis didn’t mind. Fresh flowers pinned into his hair and a brand new outfit was all he needed to feel special in front of their few witnesses. It was just some members of his family and a few of the church elders in attendance as was customary for any marriage beyond the first wife within the faith.

First wives were the ones to have elaborate weddings with the whole community involved. An alpha’s first wedding was a celebration of an their coming of age, his first steps into fulfilling God’s prophecy. There were many glories for an omega that came with being a first wife but also many responsibilities. Louis had never aspired to be a first wife or even a second. He wasn’t experienced enough to be the leader of an alpha’s many wives and children and he didn’t think he’d be up to the task.

Louis was just fine in the position he was stepping into as the seventh.
