Aches and Loss : Tom Holland x Reader

Description: 2.1k wc, Tom Holland helps reader through the loss of her aunt. Hurt-comfort.

Warnings: mentions of death, funerals, Catholicism, and related topics.

Note: technically not a WIP, but was done to support @theslayerofthevampires 💜

“Tommy, is that you?” Y/N croaked.

Tom rushed down the hall, his heart sinking to the floor when he saw her.

Her eyes were red and teary, hands tangled in her hair, and tissues tossed across the coffee table.

“It’s me darling” Tom said softly, walking to her and kneeling.

“I’m glad you’re here” she admitted shyly.

Tom gave her a sympathetic smile, “I’m glad I’m here too. I’m so sorry y/n”.

Y/n sniffles and nodded weakly.

“I know that doesn’t mean much. Is there anyway I can help?” He asked, grabbing her left hand and lowering it from her tangled hair.

She shrugged, her eyes watching the way his lips met her hand before his other hand brought her right hand down as well.

“Do you want to talk about it?” Tom wondered, kissing the back of her other hand.

Y/n let out a shaky breath and nodded slowly.

“That sounds like it was a lot of fun” Tom replied, his fingers softly untangling her hair as she finished the story about her aunt.

Y/n nodded, “she made sure we all had a good time”.

Tom hummed, holding her closer as she began to tear up.

“Are all of her kids coming?” Tom asked when y/n didn’t start up a new story.

She held out her hands and began counting on her fingers as she thought through who she knew was coming.

“I believe so, it’s a big family. I know her grandkids will be there too” y/n answered, watching Tom’s face for a reaction.

He nodded, glancing down as he felt her eyes on him.

Tom gave her a soft smile and pressed a tender kiss to her forehead, “what is it love?”

“Are you okay with… going?” She asked.

“Is your family okay with me going?” He replied, stroking her cheek.

She nodded and gave him a small smile.

He grinned back, “and you want me there?”

“Yes, please “ she begged, her hand clutching onto his hoodie.

“Then of course I’ll be here darling” he promised, his thumb dancing over her cheekbone.

Her eyes lit up slightly as her lips curled, “really? You don’t mind?”

Tom furrowed his brows, “why would I mind?”

“It’ll be a lot of people. You’ve met my immediate family, but not my extended family. It’s a lot, not to mention…” she mumbled nervously.

He sighed and pulled her closer to his chest, “I would love to meet your extended family, no matter how many people that entails. I wish it were better circumstances for your sake darling, but that’s all”.

She sniffled and snuggled into his embrace, “some of them are marvel fans. Like big marvel fans”.

Tom chuckled lightly, “you’re a big marvel fan darling”.

Y/n playfully hit his chest and giggled, “you know what I mean Tom! Obviously they know we’re dating, but I don’t know how they’ll behave. I know the circumstances should prevent much from happening but-“.

“If something happens, it’s okay. Unless you’re worried I’ll be a distraction? I can always try a disguise, or-“ he offered.

She shook her head and leaned back to look him in the eyes, “no. I need my Tommy”.

Tom blushed and chuckled, his thumb back on her cheek, “you have me, always”

“I just didn’t think I’d lose her” y/n whispered, wrapping her arms around herself.

Tom frowned, “I know. I wish I could take the pain away from you”.

Y/n gave him a faint smile and rubbed her arms with her hands.

“One second,” Tom said, setting the plate of dinner he’d made her on the table.

He then lifted his hoodie over his head and held it towards her, “here”.

She bit her lip and sniffled, “t-than”

“Shhh sweetie, what happened?” He asked, sitting beside her and helping her put his black hoodie over her head.

She shook her head, “nothing. I just,… I’m grateful to have you, especially right now”.

Tom smiled tenderly at her and after she slipped her arms into the sleeves, he pulled her in for a hug.

“You’re not alone in this y/n,” he promised quietly, his warm breath hitting her ear.

“She would’ve really liked you” y/n mumbled, wrapping her arms around his torso.

Tom rubbed her back slowly, “I’m sure I would’ve liked her to y/n/n”.

She nodded against him, “I think so, I could see you guys getting along well”.

Tom hummed softly as he kept rubbing her back comfortingly.

“I wish you could’ve “ she sighed, “I’m sorry”.

“For what?” He asked, carefully tilting her back as he felt tears land on his chest.

Tom delicately stroked his thumb under her eyes to clear off the tears as they fell.

“Crying again, I feel like it’s been off and on ever since you got here” she explained.

“There’s nothing wrong with that, you can cry as much as you need. You don’t need to hold it in” Tom assured her, his heart breaking as she nodded and began crying more.

“That’s it” he whispered, afraid if he spoke louder his voice would crack sympathetically.

Tom held her tightly, whispering small comforting words as she cried into his chest.

“That was beautiful” Tom said, squeezing y/n’s hand as they exited the viewing area.

Y/n smiled softly over at him, noting how if it were different circumstances seeing him in his black suit would have made her want to take a million photos of him.

“Yeah, it was arranged really well, and it looks like everyone made it” y/n agreed.

“Your family all seems lovely by the way” Tom stated while leading her down the hall.

Y/n felt her face flush and a swell of pride in her chest, “thank you”.

He smirked to himself as he watched her reaction but shook it off and squeezed her hand, “of course”.

“So, I forgot to mention, my aunt was Mexican Catholic, so this service is going to be at least an hour long,” y/n informed Tom as they made their way up the steps.

Tom nodded, “okay, sounds good. Anything I need to know or do?”

She shook her head, squeezing his hand in thanks, “just help me?”

He turned to stand before her, tilting her head up so he could see her eyes.

Y/n blinked through her tears, letting her eyes stare into his beautiful auburn ones.

“I will be right by your side, the whole time. I promise” he told her softly.

“This whole weekend was beautiful, your family arranged a very special tribute to your aunt” Tom complimented, setting a bouquet of flowers on her kitchen counter.

As he filled it with water, y/n smiled softly over at him, “they really did. Everyone loved you by the way”.

She giggled quietly as she saw the blush creep up his face and redden his cheeks.

“Now y/c/n is the oldest of your aunt’s children, right?” Tom clarified as he looked through the photo album y/n brought out.

Y/n nodded “y/c/n is the oldest, and y/oc/n is the middle child. People confuse them all the time though”.

“That’s y/oc/n, right?” He asked, pointing to a particular person in the family photo of y/n and a few of her cousins.

Y/n smiled, “of course you’d not confuse them like the others”.

Tom blushed again but continued studying the photo album, absorbed in learning more about her aunt and family.

“Am I boring you?” She asked as she turned another page.

“No!” He blurted, chuckling a bit after, “no, I love seeing these photos. You look so cute”.

Y/n bit her lip bashfully and smiled at him.

“Besides, y/a/n was important to you, I want to know whatever you are willing to share about her “ he admitted.

“‘ey, ‘ey, love, shhh” Tom cooed, wrapping y/n in his arms as he blinked rapidly in an attempt to wake up more.

They’d been asleep for the night when he suddenly heard her crying.

She’d tried to hide the sound by pressing her face into the pillow, but he still heard.

Y/n quickly flipped over, facing Tom and gave him a sad look.

“I woke you?” She sniffled, rubbing her eyes.

Tom shrugged, “‘s not important. Did you have a bad dream?”.

“I wish” she groaned, scooting closer to him.

He tightened his grip, bringing her against his chest as he placed his lips to the top of her head.

Tom sighed, “talk to me darling. Why’d you wake up crying?”

“I had… a dream.. y/a/n was there and it was fun, we went to the park I told you about?” Y/n explained, pausing to see if her boyfriend was following along.

Tom hummed softly into her hair to let her know he remembered what she was referencing.

“But then I woke and… well…” she sniffled, tears dripping from her shut eyes and onto his chest.

“But then you woke up and reality hit” Tom sighed, wishing there was something more he could do.

She nodded faintly against his chest, “yeah”.

“I’m so sorry y/n, what can I do to help? Do you want to talk about it? Maybe take a walk? Or go for a drive?” He questioned.

“We can go for a drive?” She asked, leaning back to see his face.

Tom offered a small smile, “‘course, is that what you’d like to do?”

Y/n nodded and let Tom help her up from the bed.

“Thank you” y/n whispered into the night.

Tom pulled the hood of his hoodie up over her head as the wind hit his shoulders.

“Nothing to thank me for y/n, I’ll always be here to help you with anything” he vowed.

Y/n smiled over at him despite the fact it was pitch black outside and he likely couldn’t see it.

But, unbeknownst to her, the stars lit her face just enough for his attentive gaze to catch sight of her glimmer of joy.

Tom wrapped his arms around her and smiled as she snuggled into him before looking back out at the city lights.

“How does the water feel?” Tom asked, dipping one finger into the bath water he’d drawn for her.

“It’s nice” she mumbled, eyes closed as she tried to relax in the warm epsom salt filled bath.

Tom sighed in relief, pulling his finger back out of the tub before he stood up.

“Can you stay?” Y/n questioned weakly, her eyes peeling open to watch him.

Tom nodded, “I am, I just wanted to move positions”.

“I can reach your neck easier from here” he explained, tenderly setting his hands on her shoulders in a slow enough pace she had time to pull away or tell him no.

But instead she leaned into his touch and sighed.

“Tell me if it hurts too much okay?” He requested as he began carefully massaging her lower neck.

Y/n hummed lowly, sinking further into the tub.

——

“Let’s get you dried and into pajamas first, then we can get you back into bed” Tom said as he fought a laugh.

Y/n groaned but let him help her dry her body off with the towel she had wrapped loosely around her.

Well, it wasn’t so much him helping her as it was him doing the task for her; but he didn’t mind as she seemed much more relaxed now.

“Much better, now for your top, do you want new pajamas, or-“ he began, setting the now-damp towel on the hanger.

“Your hoodie?” She asked barely above a whisper.

Tom chuckled as he lifted her onto the countertop, “I had a feeling, one second darling”.

Y/n leaned against the mirror with her eyes closed, her legs dangling off the bathroom counter as she waited for him to return.

Tom stroked her cheek and shook his head softly when she didn’t wake back up.

He cautiously placed the hoodie on over her, making sure it was comfortably in place before stepping back.

While smiling softly at her sleepy state, he scooped her up in his arms and brought her back to her bedroom.

“To-Tommy?” She mumbled sleepily, her eyes still closed as he lowered her to the bed.

Tom smiled, “it’s me, y/n/n, just rest”.

“St-staying?” Y/n whispered, reaching out blindly for him.

Tom chuckled playfully, “always”.

He made his way under the covers before grabbing her hand.

“You’re not alone y/n, get some sleep” he whispered, kissing her forehead as her breathing slowed.

How you kiss

Jonah Hauer-King

Jonah is a pretty private person and can easily be flustered, so he won't be one to show a lot of PDA in public. He will occasionally press a kiss to your cheek, temple or on top of your head, but it is only in private when he will actually really kiss you. He'll just look at you, his eyes flicking between your eyes and lips and he'll playfully brush his nose over yours, letting you be the one to actually connect your lips.

While he will not really kiss you in public, he will more than make up for it when you two are together. He'll take any chance he can to coax you into giving him a kiss and proceed to teasingly pepper your lips with small kisses before ending up giving you a good, deep kiss.

Tom Glynn-Carney

Tom is a tease and you cannot convince me otherwise. He would not be big on PDA, but not against it either. He'll just lean in and brush his lips on yours, waiting for you to kiss back before really deepening the kiss. And sometimes, even though you kiss back, he'd just pull back with a smirk, enjoying the flustered look on your face when he teases you.

His kisses are either very sweet and soft or hot and passionate and there is no inbetween.

Ewan Mitchell

(I couldn't find any gifs of one of his characters kissing, sorry)

Ewan is a private person, but if you were dating for a while he definitely wouldn't mind showing the world you were his. While not going overboard when in public, if you'd find a quiet little place, he would slip his arm around your waist and kiss you.

I think everyone can agree that Ewan is a pretty good flirt and quite a tease. When you're alone together he wouldn't mind teasing you and just keep peppering you with kisses all over your face before surprising you with a deep kiss on the lips.

Matt Smith

Matt is the kind of man who knows how to use the combination of sweet and passionate. When you two are alone, he will sometimes just cup your face in his hands and kiss you to show how much he loves you.

Even in public, he will just kiss you if he feels like it.

And when you pull away, he would just look at you, smiling, as if he can't believe how lucky he got to have you.

Joseph Morgan

Joseph is not someone who kisses often, but when he does, you just know he means it. It's soft and slow and you can actually just feel the love that goes into it.

He will hold you close, cup your cheek and brush his thumb along your bottom lip before pressing a featherlight kiss over your lips that will have you feel woozy for days. He'll then gently pull you in closer, his hands resting gently on your hips, and continue exchanging soft kisses. Every one of which as if it were the first.

Daniel Gillies

Daniel is a tease. Let's not pretend like this man is not an absolute menace.

He'll steal a few kisses and sometimes pretend to go in for a kiss, only to kiss your cheek instead. Then, when he's had enough of his teasing, he'll pull you in and gently grab your jaw, holding your head in place as he gives you a proper kiss.

Kisses are either very teasing or fast and hungry.

Paul Wesley

Paul is a gentleman when it comes to kissing. Probably one of the only things in which he is...

He will cradle the back of your neck, using it to pull you in for a kiss. They are usually chaste and sweet and he'll sometimes playfully nip at your bottom lip, taking pride in seeing you blush when he does so, knowing you were really his.

Ian Somerhalder

Ian's kisses are slow and passionate and usually a little sloppy.

He'll hold you close with his hands on your waist or in your hair and just kiss you like he doesn't have a care in the world. He likes to take his time too, making sure you feel how much he desires you.

Chris Wood

Chris is passionate about the people he cares about, especially those he actually loves. If he could, he'd spend all day cuddling with and kissing you.

He would hold onto you, coaxing you into kissing him by teasingly nipping at your jawline and once you'd finally do, he would instantly deepen the kiss and show you just how much he loves you. He'd whisper affectionate words against your lips, his lips never leaving yours.

Jensen Ackles

Jensen is who enjoys kisses, even the small ones. A quick kiss before going to work or doing some shopping or when one of you comes home.

It is on date night when he really goes all out, making sure that everything was perfect. He would look at you and ask if he could kiss you, and of course you happily oblige. He'd let you be the one to make the first actual move and smile as he feels your lips on his. Then he'd probably make a cheeky comment or joke after pulling away that either makes you laugh or earns a 'suffering parent face'.

Jared Padalecki

Jared is cheeky and playful, which shines through in his kisses.

He'll take any opportunity to kiss you, starting small and soft, but almost always ending up in a deep and passionate kiss.

He will hold you and sometimes just pick you up, peppering your lips with cheeky kisses.

Matthew Daddario

Matt is goofy, but besides his work, the one thing he is really serious in is you.

His kisses never mean nothing. He is not always good with words, especially when you are concerned, and so he'll use his mouth instead.

If he's sad or upset the kiss itself will be quick, but he'll linger so you can feel his breath on your lips. If he's happy the kiss will be more playful and he'll nibble on your lip and if he's excited he'll let his tongue trace over your lips.

Needless to say, his kisses are enough to let you know just how much he adores you.

Dominic Sherwood

Dom is a little shy/hesitant at first, but when he feels your lips, nothing can stop him from showing how much he loves you.

He doesn't really care about PDA and whether you're alone together or on the street, he'll give you a kiss.

He likes to hold you close when you kiss, making sure that you feel just how much you want him in every second you have together.

Dylan O'Brien

Dylan would kiss you as if he had been starving and you were the last piece of chocolate on Earth.

His kisses seem as if they last an eternity but only a second at the same time and he'll take the opportunity to kiss you at every chance he had.

In public he'll stick to chaste kisses, with friends and families short but sweet kisses, but it is when you two are alone together that he will grab your face and slowly pull you in closer. His eyes seem to be devouring you before he presses his lips to yours and kisses you like there's no tomorrow.

Tom Holland

Tom kisses you as if every kiss might be the last.

Slow and full of love with his arms wrapped securely around your waist. When his lips are on yours, there is no power on Earth that can convince him to let you go.

Josh Hutcherson

Josh's kisses are pretty comparible to Everlark.

Slow and a little hesitant sometimes, but filled with the most pure form of love. Every kiss with Josh would serve as a reminder for the love you hold for each other.

Things I screamed about in ATSV (spoilers)

-Got to rewatch the film so I’m just going to add the colours changing to warmer tones when Gwen hugs her father. Not even ten minutes in and I was already crying.

-Realised that we missed the Gwen-Vulture fight BUT got to see Jessica Drew enter the scene like a bad ass in her bad ass bike and hearing the audience collectively say ‘me too’ when Gwen asked if Jessica could adopt her.

-Screaming OSCAR ISAAC when Miguel spoke

-Lyla. Just Lyla.

- ‘Do you say anything other than no?’ ‘No-YES!’ more of miguel and jessica pls

-The Spot’s introduction. I didn’t see any promotional stuff, teasers or even trailers before watching this film so I had no idea who or what the The Spot was which was great because he really went from villain of the week to villain of the movie. And they clearly had a great time choreographing the fight scenes with him

-Miles’ heating up the beef patty while the spot and the convenience store man argue

-Miles patting the spot’s with a ‘good cow’ text

-Gwen and Miles both having to deepen their voices to avoid being recognised by their respective cop dads

-Miles saying that he can get two cakes when the counsellor says you can’t have your cake and eat it too and then bringing two cakes for his father’s party and neither of them saying what he wanted to convey.

-Rio and Jeff scolding an annoyed miles but instantly smiling when a relative hugs them what an universal experience

-Gwen teasing Miles for drawing her in his notebook almost obsessively but also breaking the biggest rule to spend time with him knowing the consequences.

-As they went to talk, my friend leaned over and said ‘yeah I bet they will talk’ and when they only talked he groaned very loudly at which point I had to remind him Miles was only 15

-Watching Jeff talk to Spiderman about his son not knowing his son is spiderman

-The DJ increasing the volume when Miles’ parents started scolding him in the middle of the party (the real mvp of the movie actually)

-JK Simmons cameo that no one seems to be talking about??? Embarrassingly enough I had to literally scream into my friend’s ear for most of the people to realise it was indeed JK Simmons

-Just the entire Mumbattan scene. It was so exciting to see my city be represented like that, still a bit cliched in my opinion but not like Slumdog so obviously they have updated their views. Everything from the traffic gag to Pav’s rant about chai tea had the theatre howling. Also the detail of the thought boxes (?) and sounds being written in Hindi

-Screaming DANIEL KALUUYA

-My friend and I are huge fans of the UK punk scene (her for the ideologies and myself for the music and fashion) so Hobie was a dream come true. He was already super cool with his guitar and mohawk costume but when he revealed his face it was just so amazing

-Gayatri is every indian’s dream girl with her modern shirt-flannel and jeans combo mixed with bangles and piercings I really wish we get to see more of her in the next movie. Anyway there was a lot of wolf-whistling and hooting for her and Pav

-Also Pavitr literally means pure I don’t know if they did that on purpose or not but I love it

-His pet name being Pav cured my soul

-’This is the most emotional I have seen him’ and Captain Singh has no emotions at all

-I want to see how they came up with so many spider designs because each was so unique and immediately endearing. My friend who is also a big dinosaur fan screamed DINOSAUR

-Kind of obsessed with how detailed Ben Reilly’s arms are they did not need to go that hard with it

-Tom Holland’s Spider-Man being referred to as ‘the little nerd’ by Miguel

-When everyone was making puns about the Spot my friend leaned over and said ‘i wonder which hole the spot prefers’ it is a miracle we are still friends actually

-The Donald Grover cameo!!!

-Peter B Parker having a cute little baby with the love of his life is what he deserves

-Miguel O Hara is one step away from becoming a Batman-Spiderman

-Hobie’s admiration for Mayday being the avatar of chaos Spider-baby

-Screaming ANDY SAMBERG

-I think they saw the appreciation for the art style in the previous film and then trebled it for this film and I cannot thank them enough for it

-Peter complaining about how Miguel breaks the Spiderman tradition of being funny and witty and Miguel being the first anomaly

-Every scene with the Spot is very unnerving because as I said, you watch him transform from this joker to a literal void of vengeance and it is every bit of terrifying

-Miguel is a man suffering from the destruction of an entire universe because of his selfish actions and forcing that anomaly narrative on a fifteen year old boy who became a spiderman on accident and doesn’t want his father to die because of that. Unlike the Spot, who isn’t even human anymore, Miguel is drowning in grief and guilt and trying to ignore it by holding the weight of the spider-verse on his shoulder. I hated him so much for making a boy go through that but then I just couldn’t in the end.

-Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire cameo!!! Hopefully we’ll get a fun Tom Holland one too in the next movie.

-’Let me guess, he died?’ being a therapist for Spider Men must be a fairly boring job after a few patients.

-I just loved the absolute of wrongness of the scene where Miles returns ‘home’. The rain and darkness. I didn’t really think about Rio asking Miles what happened to his hair because I thought she was referring to the rain (although of course she wouldn’t ask him why his hair was wet when it was obviously raining outside) but realised something was wrong when he didn’t know about comic con but she did because in the first film there’s a joke about Peter B Parker explaining the concept to Miles.

- This movie is not good for my father related issues

-The glaring neon welcome sign when the gang end up in Earth 42

-How did Uncle Aaron get even scarier?

-Miles being the Prowler is honestly a great twist I saw it coming but still felt the shock of the reveal

-Prowler Miles having an accented voice meaning his father probably died when he was young and he only had his mom growing up

-Can’t wait for the original spider team to return for the third film seeing as they brought back Spider-Man Noir and Spider Ham and Peni Parker

-Screaming WHAT when the ‘to be continued’ appeared because that cliffhanger is absolutely destructive. All that adrenaline and excitement just popped. I’m still oscillating between being impressed and being disappointed.

I probably skipped over a lot of other scenes because these were the most memorable and I only watched the film once (unfortunate) but I can’t wait for the movie to hit streaming services and watch it again and again for all the other details I missed. Ill probably keep adding things as I remember

“You’re telling me that’s not exactly what you guys sound like?” Y/n teased with a grin.

Tom shook his head. “Darling, let’s leave the acting to me, huh?” he teased.

Y/n lightly scoffed. “You’re just scared, darling,” she remarked in her earlier fake British accent.

“What has gotten into you?” Tom chuckled.

Y/n shrugged. “I don’t know,” she hummed. “Maybe my brain is fried from all the fries being called chips, and chips being called crisps, and don’t even get me started on biscuits!”

Tom laughed so hard he had to rest his hands on his knees. “Are you trying to say something?” He asked humorously.

“It’s just all so… British,” she giggled.

“And is that a bad thing?” Tom pressed as he raised an eyebrow at her.

“No, ‘course not,” she promised lovingly. She quickly pecked his lips. “After all, you’re very British too,” she winked.

How you hug

Jonah Hauer-King

He's just a sweetheart. He'll hold out his arms, asking for a hug rather than just giving one because he doesn't want to make you feel uncomfortable in public.

And then when you return the hug, his arms will just wrap around you securely and he'll lightly caress your shoulder with his thumb.

He loves burying his face in the crook of your neck as well and just take in your scent.

And when you're alone, this man won't be able to keep his hands off you (respectfully and consentually, of course). No matter how or which position, he'll have you in his arms.

Tom Glynn-Carney

Tom puts his everything into hugs. While it can be a small hug sometimes, he usually likes to pick you up. Especially after he's been away for a while and you come to pick him up at the airport.

He'll pick you up with ease, his hands on your back (or a little lower) and your legs wrapped around him. It's as if you are the only two people in existence.

Ewan Mitchell

Ewan is a tease and he simply loves hugging you from behind. He'll slide his hands from your hips to wrap around your waist and pull you into his chest.

He'll probably also sneakily press a kiss to your temple, cheek, neck or shoulder as well.

Matt just loves to hug you tightly, wrap his arms around your shoulders and whisper sweet nothings into your ear.

This man is a gem and he would just lightly rub your back and tell you he loves you and all that.

Joseph Morgan

It's almost as if the world would end if he were to let go of you. At least, that's what he'd make it feel like.

In public he usually will stick to more of a small hug or a side hug, but among close friends, family or just the two of you, he will hold you as if his life depended on it.

He'll just wrap his arms around you, put one hand in your neck or on the back of your head to keep you close and sink into you.

Daniel Gillies

Much like Joseph, Daniel likes to just hold you close, but what mostly differs them, is that Daniel is more of a tease and more sneaky.

While he'll have one hand on the back of your head, cradling your neck or somewhere on your back, his other hand will most definetely be on your ass. It's just a little thing he likes to do, remind himself that you were really his and he was the only one who could hold you like that.

Paul Wesley

No matter how much of a jokester or tease Paul normally was, he was not about your hugs.

He would take you into a big bear hug, his arms around your shoulders, and just squeeze you close, swaying from side to side.

Don't get me wrong, he likes the occasional tap on your butt, but he preferes your hugs to be something special. As an actor he has to do a lot of intimate things with other women, which is why, when it comes to you, he likes to show his affections through the simplicity of a good hug.

Ian Somerhalder

Ian is very protective of the people he loves, and it shows through in the way he hugs.

His arms will wrap around you and he'll rest his chin on top of your head, holding you close, but not too tightly.

He likes to just have you close, make sure that you know he's there and how much he loves you, and his hugs really show that.

Chris Wood

Chris isn't much of a hugger, apart from the occasional ones, he usually sticks to just putting his hand on your shoulder or on your hip.

What he is, is a cuddler.

Whenever one of you are sitting or laying around somewhere, he'll find an excuse to cuddle.

If he's sitting on the couch, he'll nod for you to come over with a cheeky grin and then just pull you into his side, let your arms wrap around him and stroke your back, or play with your hair.

If, let's say, you visit him on set and are seated in his chair, he'll simply pick you up, earning lots of giggles as he sits down with you in his lap, his arms around your waist.

Jensen Ackles

Jensen gives more of a classic type of hug. His arms wrapping around you before he moves his hand up to stroke through your hair and cradle the back of your head.

He would be a little stiff at first, but after every hug you notice him growing a little softer, more comfortable.

Jared Padalecki

I know the gif is with Jensen, but I felt like it best captured Jared.

This man is as goofy as goofy can be. Look it up in the dictionary, you'll find his name.

Jared would just wrap his arms around you, locking you in his embrace and lift you up, teasing you that you're so small (most people are small compared to him).

It's silly, but he knows that it always makes you laugh, and that's his goal.

Especially when either of you have a bad day, he knows his sillyness will cheer you up, as the sound of your laughter does that for him. It's his little way of showing you he cares and that he feels comfortable enough with you to be his goofy self.

Matthew Daddario

Matt is a simple, affectionate man.

He loves having you near, wrapping a casual arm around your shoulders.

His hugs would be different depending on the reason for the hug. If it's just a hug, he'll wrap an arm around your shoulders and pull you into his chest. If it's because either of you is upset about something, he'll slide his arms around your waist and draw you in like that and if it's out of happiness or excitement, he'll wrap his arms around your waist and give you a small spin.

Dominic Sherwood

Dominic is an affectionate man and he doesn't shy away from showing you how much he cares about you, even through little things such as hugs.

He'll put his arms around you and just give you a big, good hug, whether you're alone, with friends and family, or out in public, he doesn't care. He knows you're his (and he's yours) and he's not afraid to show it.

Dylan O'Brien

If there was any possible way to hug you tighter, he would.

He's silly and goofy most of the time, but he's also very much in touch with his emotions and a vulnarable man. He won't always say it, but your hugs are his favorite thing.

He especially loves it when you are the one to initiate the hug as to him it's a sign that you want him around and that you like holding him as much as he loves being held by him.

You'll put your arms under his shoulders and his arms would lock around you as he'd pepper the side of your face and your shoulder with kisses, all to convey his love for you and show how much he cares about you.

Tom Holland

He likes to hug you from behind, let you know that even though you don't always see him, he loves you and he wants to hold you.

His arms would wrap around your shoulders and he'll press a kiss to your cheek before burying his face in your shoulder.

He especially loves it when you put your hand over his wrist and reach your other hand back to move through his hair as he finds the simple touch very comforting.

Josh Hutcherson

Random hugs are his favorite.

No reason behind it other than wanting to have you in his arms.

His arms wrapped around your waist, his chin on your shoulder. Short, but sweet.

As he would pull away, he'd give your ass a small tap or press a quick peck to your cheek.

Really, just short and sweet.

But also often.

VERY often.

If you come to visit him on set and they're looking for him, he'll most likely be off somewhere with you in his arms.

Random headcanons for Ghost and Soap (and Ghostsoap) part 1

- Soap has the habit of placing his hand on the small of Ghost's back. It looks adorable because next to Ghost, everyone looks tiny and yet Soap oozes such confidence that Ghost feels small whenever he has Johnny's hand directing him by pressing into the small of his back, sometimes Johnny's thumb is rubbing little circles over his spine. He always blushes, too.

- On the other hand, Ghost has a habit of pulling Soap by the hip any time he's about to get himself in trouble. Someone says some shit, Soap turns to the side and opens his mouth and Ghost just reaches his arm across his back and with his fingers digging into the v curve of hip steering him away before he can open his big mouth and get himself in trouble. This is inspired by the Tom Holland&Zendaya photos

- Ghost is always cold, Soap is always hot. It looks absolutely comical during spring when they go out - Ghost has warm sweats and jacket and a hoodie and a hat/mask on and Soap is in shorts and a hoodie with cut-off sleeves. Gaz calls it Soap's slut behaviour

- This means Ghost is a blanket hog. They often sleep in the same bed but separately because Soap just feels too hot to cuddle up under the warmest duvet available in store which is Ghost's preferred one.

- They are decent cooks but Ghost is better at cooking and Soap is better at baking. They also have different cooking styles - Ghost cooks to relax and doesn't stress about the results and Soap takes cooking as a challenge.

- Ghost doesn't get jealous, really. He's too in control to get jealous and he's the ride or die kinda guy so he's put all of his trust into Soap and is used to Soap's overfriendly, borderline flirty personality. It's endearing to him.

- Soap, on the other hand, is a jealous beast. Recruits, other teams officers, strangers in a bar, anyone who gets Ghost's attention or tries to get Ghost's attention, Soap always struts in and stands way too close and asserts his position as soon as he notices. Ghost pretends it's annoying but he finds it cute (he's never had anyone get jealous over him).

- Soap never stops calling Ghost per sir. Not when they're on leave, not when they retire. Sometimes it happens in public and because Soap only calls him sir when he's feeling cheeky, he sounds really bratty and people make their (dirty) assumptions.

- Soap is not a fan of Valentine's Day. Ghost likes to pretend he isn't either, but in the week before the day, he'd do small romantic gifts/gestures every day.

- Soap is the 'leaves his dirty socks on the floor' kinda guy, meaning he never puts back stuff in its rightful place, has tons of dirty mugs lying around, piles of sketchbooks and books and about a dozen of pencil cases, he forgets to make the bed, doesn't fold the laundry for days after taking it out of the dryer, just leaving in the corner in the kitchen. Ghost feels tested when they move in together because he's a neat freak.

- Soap is a hairy beast. He's got dark thick hair everywhere - his chest, back, arms, the happy trail, the other happy trail that goes down his inner thighs. He'd have to shave twice a day if he had to keep a clean-shaven look.

- Ghost is not exactly hairy but also not hairless, it's just that the majority of his body hair is very pale.

- Ghost unironically likes Vimto. His favourite takeaway is Chinese and he actually likes beans on toast for breakfast and scotch eggs. He, however, can't understand how Soap can eat oats for breakfast every day.

- Ghost does, in fact, have a soft tum. Soap also has a healthy layer of fat over muscles but Ghost doesn't really have the abs shape - he's teddy bear shaped.

- Ghost feeds stray cats scraps of meat any time he cooks off base.

- Soap definitely has ADHD. He doesn't shut up and his mind is brilliant but very scattered.

Tom honestly acts kind of shy on camera when he's not acting so I feel like he'd laugh a lot at the reader's jokes even if they're so bad (as you said), and keeps bring her up in the interviews for no reason too?? Kind of like Rachel with Josh or Zendaya with Tom Holland kinda thing (and he's not even dating her yet!!) And he probably thinks he's so subtle about it [Rachel 100% teases him about it 😭] but when he realises what he's doing, maybe he laughed a bit to loud and everyone else was quiet, he'd get so embarrassed and try to play it off as cool (spoiler he failed)

ALSO he 100% brings the reader coffee (or whatever she has for breakfast) on set every morning. Like he'd do it with everyone but on your order he'd probably write something like "for y/n" with lots of hearts, or stars, or just any random doodle he can think of.

And without realizing a lot of his insta posts about tbosas include photos of the reader and the fans obviously notice so and the comments are just "he's so in love" or stuff like that, and the funny thing is that the reader would be so oblivious too

I can see him buying her gifts for any occasion he can think of really and she's like "no he's just being nice guys I swear"
