Long Fics

[ATLA, Zutara] emletish’s Stalking Trilogy [1, 2, 3] (yes I know the name sounds bad but trust me it’s not creepy lol), is downright hilarious and adds so much worlbuilding to an already rich universe. This trilogy is long af, almost a million words long, but it’s so so worth it. The dialogue is brilliant and the character writing is great. It’s been years since I’ve read this fic but it’s always remained in my mind as one of the best stories I’ve ever read.

[Persona 5, Akeshu] It’s really hard to choose one long fic from the Akeshu fandom cuz it’s full of really talented writers and there are so many amazing fics but I’ll have to choose New Game + by Tayani. I binged this fic during lockdown and I can say it was a great decision XD. Reading this fic was such a wild ride and I’m such a sucker for time travel fics. The way everything comes together at the end is so satisfying! Honestly I should just do a separate fic rec post for Akeshu fics cuz there are SO many great fics

[FFVII, Cloti] Horky’s Diaries of A Broken Man, this fic has such a great and funny take on Cloud’s character and I love it. Cloud’s character is so wonderfully dorky and awkward in this fic and reading his journal entries puts a smile on my face every time. However do not let the dorkyness and fluff fool you there is angst to be had in this fic and by the time I reached the end of the fic I was sobbing my eyes out ;w;

[FMA, Edwin] hangonsilvergirl’s It’s Not a Big Deal as you can see I have a weakness for funny fics and this one is no exception! This fic is a wrong number AU and it’s hilarious. The chemistry between Ed and Winry in this fic is amazing and the character interactions between the rest of the cast is great!

[BNHA, Dabihawks] darling, thank god it’s this universe we’re in (and you can annoy me as much as you please) by juurensha. This is just a really neat Everything is better AU and I’m here for it! The mutual pining and obliviousness is both hilarious and frustrating but thankfully the payoff is so worth it!

One shots

[Persona 5, Akeshu] Crooked Hands by coolkidroland. Hands down one of the best fics I’ve ever read and the best take I’ve ever read on the Goro!Palace au. I can’t say more without spoiling it but this fic is mind blowing and it holds a very special place in my heart.

[BNHA, Dabihawks] love has conducted us unto one death by aradian_nights. Out of the 391 dabihawks fics I have bookmarked it would be criminal of me to not mention this one. This is the first dabihawks fic I read and it’s the one that made me fall in love with the ship and showed me dabihawks’ potential.

[Persona 5, Akeshu] Stalking, Attempted Murder and Karaoke by Tren. This is technically the 5th part of a larger series and should probably be considered a longfic but shhh I’m cheating. This fic has The Best Goro & Haru confrontation I’ve read in a fic and kudos to the author for being able to write a satisfying confrontation between the two. People tend to write Haru as too forgiving or too harsh when dealing with Goro and while those interpretations are valid they’re not to my taste personally. But this fic? Ohoho the conflict and resolution between the two is delicious and I loved the karaoke scene SO MUCH. I can’t say more without spoiling but if you’re a Goro or Haru stan I beg you to check this fic out.

[Naruto, Kakaobi] Akatsuki Babysitter's Club by beetlebee. This fic technically has 3 chapters but it’s short enough that it could be a one shot so that’s why it’s here :P This fic is exactly as the title suggest: after Kakashi decides to take Naruto in the Akatsuki decide to become his baby sitters. If that’s not enough to convince you to read this fic idk what else to say 😂

[Persona 5, Akeshu] the garden of eden by relationshipcrimes. This fic... I don’t have the words to describe the emotions this fic made me feel but they’re overwhelming. It’s dark and raw and it blew me away. Goro’s and akeshu’s portrayal in this fic broke my heart but at the same time it’s morbidly fascinating. I remember after I read this fic I just stared at my wall for half an hour cuz this fic was so raw and overwhelming but in a good way. Tho fair warning if you intend to read this fic please Read The Tags.

Switch Pt 4

A/N: It’s finally here! I said it was coming this week and well that was last week but it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon I’m realizing so without further dudes I present the next part in this saga I’m trudging through (which I say with love cuz I like where it’s going)

When Kami woke up, everything came rushing back to her quickly. The man in her bed and all the nights she spent with him. She rolled over slowly, cautiously facing him. He was sound asleep, hands resting near his face, mouth slightly agape, tiny snores escaping. He looked so at peace. A complete contrast to the way he looked awake. Especially now that she had seen him wrapped up in the throes of pleasure. He was not only expressive, but emotional, his eyebrows always pulled towards each other. She blushed thinking of all the things he did, everything he said. The way those eyes would rake over her face and body and stay there, staring intently at all her features. To him, it was all too fake. He would rather live it than see someone else doing it. Her quirk had nothing to do with office work but to her it was okay. She wanted to work with her friends and keep track of everyone and they trusted her with it. She assumed that that was one of the reasons for Katsuki falling out of love with her. She liked things simple. He like to say it was the easy way out, that she didn’t like hard work, but they had stopped arguing about it.

When Deku washed her back, it was slow, methodical. When he slowed all the way to a stop on her hip, she almost turned to look at him before he was pulling her into his chest, head resting on her shoulder, his wet hair tickling her cheek. She didn’t say anything even though she was curious. He didn’t speak either. Just kissed her shoulder and turned her to face him. He smiled at her but quickly grew bashful again, avoiding her eyes, lowering his head. Once they were rinsed and out of the shower, Deku moved to dry her off. She watched him with his intent focus as he toweled her limbs individually. He picked her up to set her on the counter to get her feet. She giggled. He looked at up at her, eyebrows raised with the corners of his mouth. He realized she was ticklish. He played with her a bit until she tried to kick him away. He stopped quickly but stood up and rested his hands on her thighs, watching her again. She couldn’t place the look in his eyes but he was gazing at her through half lidded eyes. “Oh, right.” She stopped to think about it and the idea of Katsuki coming home and taking Deku’s place made her sadder than she thought she was going to be. “I think we have time for breakfast.” They both got calls around the same time the night before from their respective spouses letting them know they would be home around noon or so.

His answering grin was nearly blinding. “That would be great.”

They cooked together again and Deku was getting better at making eggs than he was at making dinner. He managed to keep the dish almost completely eggshell free. Kami imparted a lot of cooking knowledge on him that he tried to soak up in the limited time they had. They brought the meal back to the room where they decided to sit out on the balcony and eat there.

“That was pretty good.”

“Yeah, I’m glad I didn’t completely ruin this one.” They laughed. A natural hush fell between them as they ate and Kami watched him for a bit. The past few days had been better than she expected. Neither of them planned on him staying so long, but neither of them wanted him to leave. Every night he would say he should leave but then he would never make it to the door. He would only leave for some clothes and supplies and come straight back to her. They talked a lot about heroes and movies they watched. Despite being a top pro hero, he was still such a fan. It reminded her of when she first was able to transfer into the hero course. She didn’t much like how her quirk made her seem. She didn’t want to use her control quirk on anyone. She didn’t want anyone to see her as a villain. But Deku was one of the first in her new class to approach her and make her feel like she really could be a hero. It wasn’t about the quirk, it was about what she did with it. He asked her so many questions and at first it startled her but when she realized how kind he really was, she felt less like a science experiment and more of a person. He introduced her to Hitoshi and then Katsuki and the rest was history. She was a member of class 1A.

She loved to just watch him chatter on. His positivity was infectious. He had made her laugh, made her cum, made her…happy. She realized how much she’d missed out on with him. Everyone liked poke fun at him and say he was boring or weird but he’d grown into someone that she hadn’t expected. They were wrong about him. He was a breath of fresh air compared to the relatively strict regime of Katsuki’s. He knelt in front of her where she sat on the bed and gave her a sad smile. “No, baby. I’ve been neglecting my place. I really gotta get back and clean up at least some before Ochaco gets home. Might have to replace a plant or two.” He chuckled.

She laughed a little too despite herself. “Of course. Well you know you’re always welcome any time there’s another business trip.”

“Or hey, maybe we should take one.”

She half-smiled. “That would be fun I bet.”

“Seeing sights, stopping villains, sneaking into each other’s hotel rooms.” They smiled at each other. “Kami, I’m positive that we’ll have more time together. I’ll make sure of that.” He kissed the back of her hand.

From anyone else it would have sounded like just any old fluff but from Deku, it was a real promise.

hi friends! i’m very excited to be here. i’m jay (est, she/her) n i used to play astrid nyland a few months ago if anyone remembers bt i had to leave for personal reasons. i’m so glad to be back now that i hve life sorted and some free time for summer break <3 read on for some details abt this new muse of mine, clementine.

01. biography !

so ! clementine was born in florida. & yes, her real name is clementine. her mom thot it was the cutest name idea ever. clementine mostly goes by clem. she comes from the town [redacted] in florida bcoz i am too lazy to look up a specific town <3 but alas ! it was swampy and humid and she lived in a trailer park.

her parents got knocked up at nineteen. clem was born nine months after a particularly wild 1999 fourth of july. her birthday is march 26th and she’s an aries.

(TW: addiction, child injury) clem’s dad was a gambling addict and petty criminal—he wld steal credit cards n whatnot. he wld gamble away diaper money n it would cause constant fighting until her dad finally left. her mom took this very hard n began drinking a bit too often, leaving clem to to make cereal for dinner n fend for herself. once clem tried to make hot dogs on the stove and spilled boiling water on herself. got a p bad burn on her arm/shoulder and still has a big scar.

the soundtrack of her childhood was cicadas buzzing and stray dogs barking. the sizzle and pop of natty light cans. turning up her ipod to max volume to drown out the sounds of her mother fighting with her new boyfriend.

throughout her upbringing, clem’s dad was always in and out of the picture. he’d blow into town when he hit it big. he’d take her on these little “adventures” like staying in a motel 6 n renting movies at block buster n ordering good pizza nt the dominos shit she ate with her mom lol. ofc he was charging it all to someone’s stolen credit card. he’d always promise to, like, take clem away. n clem was a daddy’s girl so she believed him. the last time it happened was her h.s. graduation. her mom didn’t show ( "overslept” after a bender ) but her dad did and surprised her n said everything wld be different. bt then he bailed on their plans for the next day n when she called his cell, the number was disconnected. tht was the defining “i’m done” moment. clem promised to never be disappointed by her father again.

(TW: racism) her mother has mexican ancestry and clem’s always been called her twin. but clem was raised in a predominately white area and honestly ?? it was really hard without her even realizing it. she’s still unpacking a lot of things today abt her youth that jst weren’t okay bt she thought were normal. like microaggressions, stereotypes, being fetishized by boys in high school. gross shit.

as a kid, clem was rumored to be really poor bc she wore tattered clothes n got free lunch at school. once she invited a friend to her house & the next day they told everyone it’s in a trailer park. that reputation—the “trailer park girl”—was really hard to shake. and clem got almost desperate to shake it. she was endlessly trying to set her old self on fire and emerge from the ashes like a phoenix.

eventually clem became more “popular”. in school she was, like, a straight b student. very average although super creative and quick-thinking. she always had street smarts. problem solving skills. independence. more of, like, practical intelligence as opposed to book smarts because academia bores her tbh. she was like why am i reading these overrated boring books by dead white men or learning abt polynomials when i know nothing abt how to pay a mortage or do taxes. like...she saw the american education system as bullshit and put in modest effort because she didn’t believe it deserved her sweat and tears.

however, she entered the online lottery for the seas program on a whim and got in. so she’s studying creative writing now.

02. personality !

first thing you shld know abt clem is that she’s a compulsive liar essentially—she tells various stories to make her life seem better than what it was. to one person, she’s an heiress to a real estate company and grew up wealthy. to the next she was raised by nomadic hippies. some of her lies are small fibs while others are grandiose tales. she rarely talks about her actual upbringing. she hates talking abt her family or the v real trauma of growing up in a household where both parents struggled w/ addiction; the uncertainty, the broken promises, the fact that she had to grow up so soon and deal w/ so much. it wasn’t fair, and if she thinks about it too much, she feels this anger. anger at the universe. anger at her circumstances. she doesn’t know where to put this anger. she doesn’t know how to shrink it. so she avoids it.

despite her rough upbringing, though, clem is actually really sweet and kind. she’s adventurous, fun-loving, free-spirited, and bold.

bt ! she can also be closed-off, competitive and restive.

she’s seemingly tight with everyone? like she’s jst that girl who can get along with anyone tbh.

in her spare time you can catch her tanning by the pool, hanging at the bar, playing pool ( which she learned from her dad ), and socializing. she’ll never say no to hanging out with people.

she learned a lot from her little “adventures” with her dad, who was very good at conning others and often involved her in his dumb little scams. clem is suuuper good at pulling the ‘im baby 🥺’ card to get what she wants.

she can be a little selfish, because she grew up looking out for herself.

stubborn and dogmatic as hell !!!

she doesn’t do too many relationships but when she does fall, i imagine she falls hard and fast. she refuses to be made a fool of, tho. when she gets vulnerable she flashes back to being a kid, waiting all day for her dad to show up only to have him bail on her. again. she hates that feeling. so if she, like, senses a shift in someone’s energy she’ll b like, “i’ll break up with u before u can do it to me” and the person wasn’t even tryna dump her lmao.

has a lot of sex. too much ?? sex?? mayb. but she’s v sex positive.

her personal style is v late 90s. hair clips, big scrunchies, neon, fur trim, crop and tube tops, hoop earrings, chokers, patterns, platform shoes, biodegradable glitter cuz it’s good fr the earth *winks*. clothes from o-mighty.......actually jst google o mighty, pull up the images and That is clem. she dresses like a bratz doll. she’s dedicated to the aesthetic.

03. headcanons !

her item brought from home is a hot pink poker chip from a casino. her dad gave it to her. he said it reminded him of her because of the color; he got it during one of his winning streaks and said it was lucky. she has a complicated relationship w/ her dad n doesn’t even speak to him anymore, bt she will never go anywhere without it.

she’s a smol bean—only 5′4

an astrology girl and she reads palms ! she absolutely makes astrology tik toks that people only watch because she’s hot. her flirting technique is to ask you to read your palm.

she doesn’t typically drink to get drunk. but she does love a good sugary cocktail. to her, a drink is like an accessory. a blue fishbowl by the pool, a jack and coke as she stands around a bar. usually she'll nurse the same beverage for a while. if you see her wasted it usually means she’s going thru it emotionally lol. the one thing she does do is drugs tho

pretty much listens to exclusively female artists.

a bit of an activist. environmentalism, feminism and the like, she’s v outspoken. vegan for ethical reasons (TW: drugs) bt still does cocaine. she wears shirts with ‘my pussy my choice’ bedazzled on the front.

Rin:

A = Affection (How affectionate are they with an s/o?)

Super ultra affectionate baby. He's affectionate almost everywhere, no matter what's happening. In public tho, he's a bit shyer. He's down for holding hands, small kisses and so on. In private, however, it's gonna be hard to get him away from you, especially if something dangerous happened. He's a bit sad when you aren't much into affection, but will respect your decision; he isn't the type to force you into something you aren't comfortable with.

B = Breath (What could their s/o do to take their breath away?)

Saving other people in front of his eyes. He's literally gonna stand with his sword in his hand completely dumbstruck, only to "wake up" moments later feeling how proud he's of you. The feeling is so strong that it almost makes him wanna cry in the middle of an ongoing battle.

C = Cuddling (Do they cuddle? If they do, how and when do they cuddle?)

YEEeeessS jjfdsjsf always!! Even tho he prefers having you in between his legs or on his lap with his strong arms around your waist, he won't complain when he's the small spoon and has his head on your chest with you gently playing with his soft hair; this position allows him to listen to your heartbeat and gives you an opportunity to watch him open up to you about things that bother him.

D = Dream (What do they dream of doing with their s/o?)

He just.. dreams of having a normal life with you. No more lies, no more things that could even further somehow destroy his life. Just you two, going to school together, work, marriage, and maybe kids. And then, getting old together.

E = Effort (How much effort do they put into a relationship?)

He's ready to do anything, anytime for you. He's doing most, not because you don't do much, but that he just wants to. He loves spoiling you and that will not change. All the damn time thinks about you, whether you're safe or happy. Sometimes he needs to be scolded for that because even tho it's extremely kind and caring of him, it leaves an impact on his actions throughout the day.

F = Fear (What do they do if their s/o is scared? How do they handle it?)

Rin immediately scoops you in his arms and hugs you tightly while whispering comforting words and how much he loves you. Despite that me himself may be scared, he handles it pretty well; the most important thing for him is to get you calm.

G = Gifts (What type of gifts do they give their s/o? Do they want a gift in return?)

He usually gives you small things since he can't really afford much - keychains, a CD of your fave singer/band, flowers, etc. He DOES actually get you a bit more expensive gift when he saves some money, and trust me, he's gonna be even happier to give it to you than you receiving the actual gift!

H = Hugs (Do they hug their s/o? How often?)

You don't have to ask twice for a hug, in fact, you don't even have to ask. Will whine until you won't hug him back. Rin NEEDS at least one hug every day; he just really loves having you in his arms, knowing you're safe, breathing, with him, that you didn't leave him. His hugs are always long, warm and comforting, sometimes he tears up due to how important hugging is for him and how emotionally vulnerable he's during it.

I = Intimacy (How romantic are they? Do they have problems with intimacy?)

Kinda awkward when it comes to romance, but tries his best! Sometimes he tries too much and you both are like "............ ._.", but after some time he understands the whole thing and where it should stop. No problem with intimacy - if you want, he can make out with you in front of the whole crowd (with a blush on his cheeks).

Rin does get jealous, but not because he doesn't trust you, but rather because he's a bit insecure about himself. He's aware of his past and he isn't perfect, not that he tries to be, but he does feel sadness/anger when some guys are having too much fun with you, even during a conversation. He'll get mad, have his way with that person, only to later get even madder at himself for doing that. He does apologize tho, he'd die of remorse otherwise.

K = Kiss (Are they a good kisser? Do they like to kiss? How often do they try to kiss you?)

Rin isn't a bad kisser, but he's far from being best; so yeah, he's somewhere in the middle. He loves, loves, loves kissing you!! He's a bit shy at first, but once you two get more experience together he doesn't wanna stop. Can't get enough of kissing you on your lips, forehead and on the crown of your head.

L = Love (When do they say they love you? How often do they say it? Do they prefer to say or show it?)

Rin tends to say it after he wakes up and you happen to be in bed with him. He'll smile sweetly at you and softly place his hand on your cheek, tenderly caressing it with his thumb. "Good morning, baby. I love you."; He says it pretty often, but I assure you, every time he says it, he means it; prefers to say it - he isn't ashamed or anything, he's actually more happy to tell you than show you, cuz he isn't really good with it or hasn't figured it out yet. Rin's pretty good with words, and everything he says always comes directly from his heart.

M = Marriage (Do they want to get married? If so, what kind of ceremony?)

Y e s , y e s and y e s!! Without a second thought, this boy's heart belongs completely to you and if you agree to marry him he's gonna cry his eyes out from happiness!! He's a bit shy tho, so the ceremony would be only for your family and your close friends. Oh, have I mentioned he's also gonna cry during the ceremony??

N = Night out (What type of dates do they like to go on? How often do they like to go on them?)

Doesn't really like going to fancy restaurants, but he will, if you show him your puppy eyes he can't resist. He really likes taking you to movies, or maybe giving you some cooking lessons... in private, where no one can interrupt you two. It honestly depends on you how often he takes you on dates - he's fine with both going pretty often or almost not at all.

O = Out of the Ordinary (What’s something they don’t normally do with/for their s/o?)

He normally doesn't let you cook since he prefers to do it himself, but from time to time, when his energy is totally drained or he's way too lazy, surprise surprise, you're the queen of the kitchen! He's quite curious about your cooking skills, and even tho he'd be half asleep on the couch, he'll still steal a glance at you. Ngl is kinda worried about whether you will burn down the kitchen or not.

P = Playful (Are they playful in a relationship? If so, how do they play around/mess with their s/o?)

Hell yes! He's such a goofball, but we all know that already. Sometimes, when he's in such a good mood, you two have pillow fights that usually end up with kisses. You will also catch him dancing to the rhythm of a song - he gets kinda embarrassed, but invites you to dance with him anyways.

Q = Questions (Do they ask their s/o their opinion on things? Do they share theirs?)

YES! He's able to ask you a million questions about one thing. But don't worry, he can think using his own brain too, he just values your opinion more than his own.

R = Random (How spontaneous is their relationship? Do they do things on the spot or plan ahead?)

Not much here - 50/50, kinda. Most of the time things are planned ahead, due to his [exorcist] school/work.

S = Sleep (How do they sleep with their s/o?)

He's spooning you and no one will convince me otherwise. This guy lives off of hugging you. With this position, he knows you aren't in danger and he's capable of helping you when needed. Rin before sleeping gives your neck a sweet kiss, then kisses your hair and comfortably places his head on his pillow, being able to fall asleep with a smile.

T = Trust (How much do they trust their s/o?)

There are no secrets between you - both you and he don't hide anything, you two can fully trust each other.

U = Unique (What makes them unique as an s/o?)

He's extremely loyal to you. Cheating? he does NOT know this word. Whenever someone cheats on their s/o, Rin gets annoyed and disgusted. He can't understand how people can even cheat on the person they're in a relationship with? Do they even realize how that person will be feeling?

V = Vulnerable (How long until they can be vulnerable around their s/o? What are they like in this state?)

After 3-4 months of being in a relationship, he's finally gonna open up about his problems and stuff. Depending on how much things happened, he's either just very saddened or his entire body trembles while telling you his worries. Please hug him :(

W = Wild Card (Get a random domestic headcanon of the character of your choice)

He has a habit of wrapping his tail around you, especially your thighs whenever you two sit down near each other. At first, it was him teasing you only to get you flustered, but since then he's doing it unconsciously. Be careful when you stand up lmao.

X = X-Ray (What would they do if their s/o got injured?)

"dsfkfkskdfksjfd" He tries not to panic, but kinda fails. The good thing is that his body automatically gets you in his arms and he carries you bridal style to the nearest doctor/hospital. He feels like his heart might explode and he breathes heavily while waiting for the good news from doctors.

Y = Yuck (Do they have any pet peeves about their s/o? Are there any habits that might bother their s/o?)

The only thing that kinda bothers him is leaving dirty dishes everywhere but not in the sink. You may be a bit annoyed with his impulsiveness sometimes, but as they say "quid pro quo".

Z = Zeal (Are they passionate as an s/o? Do they want or like passion?)

Oh hell yes, he is~ Give him as much love as you want, he's gonna take it all without complaining!! He'll return it twice as much! <3

i, a fan of superwholock, dissect and give my opinion on the individual shows

idk i thought this would be fun and i currently have 4-5 hours to kill soooo

let’s start with

doctor who

(only new who. i have not seen the older stuff :( )

k. so. i have been a fan of this since i was pretty young. honestly i think i was a little too young to be watching it when my mom first showed me it but that’s beside the point. basically: i really like dr who

this is probably the best show out of superwholock, both in my opinion and in general. however... i am going to be nitpicky bc why not

1. the canon.

(yes the example is abt a dr who episode)

in short, the canon is comprised of a) retcons and b) contradictions. im not an avid follower of canon with any media but good god nobody can keep up with dr who canon

(i am blaming moffat bc i hate him and i think a lot of it is his fault anyway)

2. representation

honestly, the representation isn’t bad. however, i would describe it less as “good” and more as “a good starting point.”

for example, there is quite a bit of queer rep, POC rep, and a lot of characters are women. however, while this is nice, the show could still use a lot more rep, and the rep it has currently should probably be improved upon (for example: jack harkness is NOT straight, but he falls under the “multi-spec person wants to screw everyone” stereotype (i have not seen torchwood so this may be amended in that i just needed an example off the top of my head)).

3. story

some people yearn for romance. i yearn for the days when the doc would take their companion to some party, flirt with a tree, the companion almost dies while britney spears is playing in the background, etc. etc.

basically, the story starts out nice. just a bunch of goofing off, maybe a “big deal” thing here and there. life was fun.

then, the story changes. (this happened specifically from eleven onward, so yeah you can bet your ass im blaming moffat ‘cuz it’s his fault) things gradually became less fun. conspiracies ran amok; just when you thought it was over, turns out there’s an even bigger part of this plan that what you just defeated. the doc actually started caring about the timeline (what happened to time being wibbly wobbly?) sure, there are still fun episodes where the doc and the companion(s) go out for funsies but it’s just not the same as it was.

4. morals

morals are good. basically:

you can have a dark past but still have a bright future, and

be kind

bonus 5. cowardice

at least one of the doctors played by one of the male actors should have worn a dress. there were plenty of opportunities but noooooo there’s a gender binary or something (like,,, they’re an alien????? if gender on gallifrey is the same as gender on earth i am going to fly to britain and drop kick some writers)

needs work, but p good and enjoyable.

basically this show had shit representation

2. john

okee he’s a great character right??? the common sense of the operation right??? wrong

he cheated on mary??? and we don’t address it like,,, at all??? it made me so fucking mad.

(again fuck you moffat and gatiss probably had something to do with it too so im mad at him as well)

3. sherlock

classic “let’s make him a bitch” mistake. needs the stick surgically removed from his ass

4. story

story’s actually not that bad. it’s not like, great or anything but i enjoy it

i just want to address it. i think the ending was p good and yall tjlc-ers are just upset that they didn’t bang or anything. they’re literally living in the same [two-room] flat??? and they’re raising rosie???? TOGETHER???? like what more do you want

the other ten? the skill level of the writing went wayyyyyy down but i still enjoyed it

this show is notorious for bad rep and for good reason. kevin, our beloved prophet and the only recurring asian-american character? dead. charlie, so nerdy and fun and also a lesbian? dead. castiel, the angel who was totally gay? dead. basically: if you find yourself in spn and you are not a straight white man, etc etc, you are going to a) die or b) die but in a worse way

3. mythology/treatment of religions

okay so. a while back i had a wicca/witchcraft hyperfixation which was closely followed by a general pagan religions hyperfixation, so i know some stuff here and there abt religions.

and good golly does this show make me MAD

why is christianity the central and most powerful religion? (i know why, it’s a rhetorical question) why do you demonize the other religions?? (again it’s rhetorical)

one thing that really annoys me is when they say something is a “pagan god.” like,,, do you know how many gods that contains??? if you didn’t know, a religion is considered pagan if it isn’t under the abrahamic religions umbrella. what are the abrahamic religions, you ask? well, they are christianity, judaism, and islam. literally every other religion ever is a pagan religion. so, when they say “it’s a pagan god,” i cry.

back to demonizing... they literally made a greek muse eat someone. my greek mythology phase ended a long time ago and i didn’t really get into the muses but i am p sure they didn’t eat people. also the fact that it makes hoodoo look dark and stuff when it’s actually more abt peace and healing... i bet ten dollars it’s because hoodoo was created by enslaved african americans

there are so many examples of this show disrespecting religions... i just can’t

4. general notes

(for you himym fans: *saluting* general notes) (sorry i couldn’t resist)

-the filler episodes/episodes where random shit happened were the best

-the finale memes are *chef’s kiss*

-god there’s so much abt this show that i can’t even choose bc my brain is overloading

-am i glad amara wasn’t ganked at the end of s11? yes. am i happy about the dean/amara kiss? gods no

there is just. so much improvement needed. however if there is an absolute shit show with likeable characters i tend to gravitate to it

(This is a female version, because it includes Head Boy and Head Girl moments. If you wish for me to make a gender-neutral or male one, please don’t hesitate to ask)

Alright.

This pal, Seungcheolie, is a total Gryffindor

Like I’m talking, poster-child Gryffindor, courageous, extremely kind, a great leader figure. This boi is a Gryffindor seventh year AND Head Boy (because the teachers love him)

Friends with Jeonghan, the Slytherin prefect and ppl used to not understand why because Jeonghan’s a total pranker and Cheolie looks so straight-laced but oH BOI can this kid surprise people

Has snuck into the kitchen to steal biscuits, without consequences because hE’s HeAd bOY

Doesn’t cheat for any tests tho cuz he IS kinda straight-laced

Does everything for his 12 best friends (and kids because he’s SUCH A DAD), especially for Jeonghan because Han’s a lazy bum

Also the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain and Chaser, cuz he’s not necessarily fast on his broom (hence why he’s not a seeker) but his aim is great

Also practices a ton after class, because once Seungcheol wants something, he works so incredibly hard for it

His pep talks are so, so good

Younger Gryffindors (and kids from other Houses) look up to this guy because he honestly is one of the most reliable students ever and he’ll always solve the problem either with his own power, or with the help of his amazing friends

Once, when Chan was still a little first year, he was bullied by a first year Ravenclaw, and Coups sat the guy down, gave him a good scolding, and for the rest of the year, the dude was surprisingly nice to Chan (turns out, he was kinda jealous of Chan’s flying skills)

His grades are mehh, he passes with the help of Wonwoo and Joshua (and also Mingyu, who surprisingly has a knack for Potions) and usually gets an P if he does fail

He’s not dumb AT ALL, just can’t write long essays for the life of him and honestly doesn’t value grades all that much

He’s somehow very good at Care of Magical Creatures and was good Muggle Studies (a subject which he dropped because he’s a half-blood, and that just doesn’t make sense)

Seungcheol gets to know you in second year, because you’re his partner in Herbology

And while he is a decent student…well, he hasn’t got the patience to deal with,,plants for Merlin’s sake

You, a fellow young Gryffindor with whom Cheolie hasn’t spoken with yet because the gap between your teeth is really frickin adorable and omg you’re actually really good at Herbology and you’re cute but also girls wth

You’re well…a total wild card. Unpredictable, fiery and uncontrollable. But you’re surprisingly gentle when you have to be, so you and Seungcheol quickly become friends after that Herbology class.

Cheol tries out for the Quidditch team that same year, and he gets in immediately

You’re ‘recruited’ in third year when one of the previous Beaters graduates and well…let’s say the Cap back then saw your potential when you broke Anthony Wilson’s nose because he slapped your ass. Sorry not sorry.

Anyways, moving on,,,

You and Seungcheol are pretty close, like not best best friends (because jeez 12 ain’t enough?) but you speak every day and you lean on him a liiiiiiittle too closely whenever you two are in the common room at night

Because he can’t really sleep because of the stress he has sometimes, taking care of his kids and all (doting father y’all) and you join him sometimes

Over the years you’ve grown into a comfortable rhythm of lulling each other to sleep in comfortable silence in the common room

The first time you woke up in each other’s arms was….well…//blush//

Because he is your friend but he is also really handsome and his lips are so close and he’s cute when he’s sleeping no don’t touch his hair and oh dear why are you still lying in his arms get out get OUT

But you get used to the limbo of flirting and touching casually to the point where you instinctively cuddle up to him by the fireplace at night and he strokes your hair

You accidentally did it around his and your friends once because…he might’ve been the only one you pay attention to in the room ooOOH do you have a crush

So now the school ships it because Vernon, bless his heart, can’t keep his mouth shut

And you like him, you realise that in like, fifth year you smart cookie, awww but you don’t want to lose the comfort of having him around and hugging you like his

And Cheolie’s got a big, fat crush on you too

Because he’s been watching you on the sidelines, growing up into this really wonderful, sunny person with some baggage and way too much care for him and your other friends

It doesn’t help that you’re stunning, gorgeous and have you seen her on the Quidditch field when she swings the bat with so much precision and-

Jeonghan and Jihoon: choke him with a pillow because he’s a SAP but it’s kinda cute

So y’all start dating…eventually, somewhere in sixth year. Like, you guys are celebrating after finallyyyy winning a Quidditch match against Slytherin (suck that, Wen Junhui)

And you and Seungcheol end up drinking a liiiiiittle too much Firewhiskey

Not to the point of being drunk, but like, to the point where y’all just a lil too honest drink responsibly babies

It’s pretty spontaneous tbh, like you end up celebrating and hugging and next thing you know you’re sitting in a corner with him by the window

Sighing and leaning your head back to feel the cool touch of glass

“I like this,” you whisper.

“Mhhmm…I like you.”

Cue double, triple take because wHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?

And Coups is just like “No, I-I didn’t mean it?” but then suddenly you become visibly disappointed and he’s like OKAY MAYBE SHE LIKES ME OKAY WHAT

And you’re just kinda flipping your shit because you don’t know what he wants but you’re really close to confessing

You don’t notice you actually kinda start hyperventilating

Now Seungcheol is panicking too because he doesn’t know why you’re panicking and ohmygod what why hoooow

But he kinda is too tipsy to think so he just trusts his instincts and kisses you to calm you down

And you’re too surprised to kiss back and I’m sorry to say it,,,,but that was not the best first kiss

Like full-on smooch, smack, poof, grab the face kiss that lasts 1 second

But after the initial surprise you’re feeling a bit more bold and calm how do those emotions work together? Honey don’t ask

So you start kissing him whilst smiling into it, and this time, yess so nice

You guys kiss for another 2 minutes, at which point the crowd has turned their attention to OH MERLIN IS THAT CAPTAIN SEUNGCHEOL AND OUR BEATER?

You get shy and hide in his chest while he spins his back to the rest of the room, shielding you but also pressing you against the window

And you start giggling, because it’s kinda funny

He giggles with you because have you heard her giggle it’s adorable

You guys are unofficially dating after that evening, but Seungcheol asks you on a proper date to Hogsmeade two weeks later

Back to 7th year…you guys are Head Boy and Head Girl

Even though the other Houses are kinda salty that it’s two Gryffindors AGAIN, they have to admit you guys make a cute couple and really good Head Boy and Girl

So, y’know “Actually, good for them.” -random Ravenclaw, not pressured by Jeonghan to support y’all or anything. Nope.

Coups tends to ruffle your hair a lot, and backhugs as a surprise

“Cheol, my bird’s nest really doesn’t need to be made extra messy you idiiiiot!”

“I’m your idiot” winks

“Yes and that makes it worse.” So you pummel him with a pillow

Backhugs and cuddles are still your thing

The sofa by the fireplace in the Common Room is your Spot™, but at least now you don’t have to hide anymore

Younger kids walking past “Oh Merlin’s pants look at them they’re so cute…I want a romance like that.”

Older students just grill y’all like oooOOoOohHhhhh

“Watch it, or you’re gonna get detention” is usually Coups’ joking reaction

While you just go *middle fingers up* and cuddle deeper into his chest

You help him with Herbology, even now, and your rewards are kisses

Really, you two are role-models for everyone at school, both as people and as a happy love story.

I absolutely would have preferred to see a bio-luminescent Isu version of lady Eivor towering over regular humans ala what we saw in Atlantis, same with the other Sages. If you're a dumbass like me it takes someone pointing it out that they look the same but if you AREN'T I imagine it takes literally zero seconds to notice and actually making them inhuman looking would have made it harder to connect dots.

Wait, so the game doesn’t tell you all these wonderful details in ANY other way and you have to connect these dots based on looks alone? Dear my mighty anon genius, with Randvi’s character design, we already have an entire fiasco about mistaking her for Kassandra. I don’t think going by “this NPC has a face that looks like another NPC” is good for plot hint. Is this hint sooooo important that the entire Norse pantheon looking this pathetic? I guess for you it is cuz clearly, your genius brain REALLY need this tiny hint to connect the dots, quest narratives didn’t spell it out for you? It’s the look that you finally connect these dots? For real tho, do the quests tell you AT ALL? I need to know to pick which quests are worth doing then, lol. Here’s a thing genius: you can still have the same face, but give them a little more Norse gods and goddesses vibes to it. For example: battle look is different from peasant look, yea? Rn they all look like average NPCs who use cheat codes for powers.

p/s: I haven’t even finished any plot quests in Asgard and I’m basing my answers only on what you’re given me. I went to Asgard, looked at the Norse gods and goddess once and left to go play Ghost of Tsushima Legends on Nightmare mode.

let’s start with a little less controversial (unpopular?) opinion: i know in the show it’s all big talk about nandor and his fighting/army skills but i actually think the guy doesn’t know shit about one to one hand combat because 1. every time he tries to be badass he fails and 2. i think he was one of those army leaders that would send their guys out to do the carnage and he would reap the awards just by standing somewhere off to the side. he’s not good at it - he’s never been good at it. it’s why he was so reluctant to battle that werewolf in s1. all show and no tell. i’ve seen a few posts describing him as a retired badass and i would just like to say that to me he’s just retired. it’s like, badass? The guy who couldn’t rip a piece of plastic from a wall? That guy?? Nadja could probably beat him in a fight cuz he’d get performance anxiety cuz his entire shtick revolves around being this relentless soldier people write poems about

yeah, that’s p much all i got for non-controversial opinions. now onto the others

first off, i think this show should introduce a black character, and not just as an extra but as a kinda regular like simon the devious etc. it’s seriously lacking in that regard. also, i recently just found out that kayvan novak used to do blackface as “comedy” and iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. am not a fan of that.

i think they didn’t really resolve guillermo’s slayer sl as neatly as they thought they did? i know it was a 2 episode deal but that whole slayer team had so much potential for it to never be talked about. i was really hoping that maybe the dude they left at the disco vamps would come back to bite them in the ass, or sth. i really liked claude (and shanice as well, honestly, tho i was kinda scared they would pair her with guillermo), i liked claude obviously admiring guillermo (gay mayhaps?) and i’m sad it just. ended. like that.

i didn’t like nadja’s development this season either, last season she had a bigger role with the whole gregor sl and her turning another vampire, but this season she was just... there, kinda. all her storylines were about her WITH laszlo, while laszlo got his own little runaway sl. and let’s be honest nadja’s character is a whole lot more interesting than her husband’s (no offense)

this ties into the fact that i didn’t really like laszlo all that much this season either? maybe the whole “u haven’t gone down on me in 200 years” comment soured the mood LMAO, but i think calling nadja and laszlo’s relationship a poly marriage would do it a disservice since nadja was obviously hurt about laszlo “cheating” on her in the witches’ episode, and laszlo saying “haha nandor let’s jerk each other off and tell no one about it” - the latter part being important here. also nadja banning him from their room. like, it would’ve been fine if nadja had gotten any good scenes this season, but she didn’t. it wasn’t eve brought up again.

the witch episode was also a little all over the place, altho it had some funny themes going for it. it felt a little like a “lookie how much sexual/outrageous humor we can put in our show! isn’t this original??” without resolving the sl in any concrete way.

and another thing: I felt a little cheapened at the “homosexual vampiric activity” this season. to me it felt like short moments of representation without any real consequences to the story - and i also didn’t like that they included laszlo jerking off his own damn ghost in that. yes, all their vampires are pansexual, as they’ve said, but how come laszlo seems to be the only one who gets to express that? where’s my gfs for nadja??? (i also missed jenna, rip)

it also doesn’t sit well with me that the main source of representation we got was “hypersexual husband in a relationship with a woman who occasionally has sex with dudes”. like, that isn’t a bad thing, per se, i’d just like a little bit more ~flavor than that to my representation, you know? where’s our shy, romantic homosexual vampiric activity?? (which basically is just me saying: CONFIRM GUILLERMO AS GAY AND GIVE HIM A BOYFRIEND. OR A DATE. A FLING. FOR ONE EPISODE. just.... anything, please.) i get why they’re reluctant to make nandermo canon, but i lit rally don’t care if they keep them just subtext if they give us just one (1) guy that fawns over guillermo, cuz he deserves it ((((i really liked him and claude in those two episodes)))).

i deserve little a wlw and romantic gay rep next season. as a treat.

also, i don’t mind them dragging guillermo’s secret out till the last minute, but i would’ve preferred for them to kick-start the plot a little more. and with that i mean guillermo being turned into a vampire is inevitable and idk if the writers are just scared of their comedy formula forming? but just THINK of the comedic potential vamp guillermo could have. the blade references. guillermo’s lineage making it so he keeps accidentally almost staking himself. guillermo injuring himself mildly and the vamps freak out cuz they possess -10 brain cells between them and think he’s dying RIGHT NOW, IMMEDIATELY, DO SOMETHING NANDOR. and nandor tries to turn guillermo but it just... doesn’t work during the first few tries cuz guillermo’s van helsing blood is just like “you know what? Nope. Not happening. Not on MY watch, young man” (please, please, let nandor be self-conscious if he’s infertile. let them go to the equivalent of a vampire pregnancy clinic. i’m still in love with that idea.) again, guillermo being turned into a vampire after he’s spent a decade pining over it and has just now come to the realization that he’d much rather be a vampire slayer or some kinda businessman? tasty.

((i also didn’t really like nadja’s wig this season D: or like, i’m assuming it was a wig looking at season 1 with her natural brown hair. i just miss that :’())

oh gosh these points really make it seem like i HATED the season, i didn’t, i thought it was hilarious (the humor was more character-based and less general ‘vamp humor’ like in s1, which i liked), it got me thru quarantine and for that i’m both grateful and scared how i’ll handle the hiatus. i just had some #thots and since like 5 separate people told me they’d be interested to hear about my hot takes... 🤷🏻‍♀️💅🏻

maybe one day i'll fully figure out/talk about my feelings re: dz and how as an individual character, i'm p much shrug emoji about him most of the time (which is a lot of progress since initial impressions) but in relation to other characters and the sides of him they bring out? this is probably what fascinates me most yes even shitty murderdad....dz basically reads like a (v dead inside) shapeshifting chameleon in front of a funhouse mirror but when you hold up the prism and angle it right and shine a specific interactional light through, something glints bright and i go all eyes emoji. lets pretend that maybe one those sleep-deprived metaphors made sense

Is It Even Worth It?

Part One, 7/17/20

Thinking about giving up Hotwifing. It has always been made up of experiences that are extreme highs and extreme lows, for me. I want it to be fun for everyone and I’ve had some amazing experiences and learned a bunch from some amazing people. But the lows just kill me.

I like making connections. I don’t just “hookup” with anyone or “hookup” as soon as we start talking. I get to know you for quite a bit, before we even meet for coffee. And then I don’t jump into bed then either. But sometimes we have some “handsy” fun.

Hubby wants the Hotwife life you see and read about on reddit and P-hub. You know, wear an anklet, hope someone understands the significance and makes a move. Flirt with the pizza guy or amazon delivery driver (which is fun). Give a bj at the gym to some rando I find attractive. Don’t have conversations with my guys. Tiny small talk. Nothing personal. They don’t need to know if I’m sad. If I am not drawing. Dont show my art. Don’t talk. Just get naughty.

Maybe part of that is just fantasy and I misread him, cuz evidently, I do that a lot... But it is repeated over and over, then feels real.

Anywho, I don’t operate that way. Maybe in my mind, I might fantasize out a stranger. But in life, I don’t want some complete stranger that I’ve never talked to before, touching me. I need the connection. And safety (health and hopefully physically).

When we first “really” started having serious conversations about this lifestyle, he positioned two things that stuck with me; fulfilling my desires and he hinted to D/s (tho honestly I don’t think he understands and gets what I want), and friends with benefits (hanging out and having fun). Neither of those are allowed.

I’m not allowed to be friends. It’s just sex. I can’t do that... maybe I’m like low grade poly? I dunno how these things work or titles etc. But... I don’t think I’m a great candidate as a Hotwife.

I don’t want once and done. I want partner(s) that I can trust (feel that we can build on that trust). Get to know each other a little. Get to know each other’s bodies. Not rush. Maybe eventually feel comfortable and safe enough for them to do the things my hubby won’t (tie me up, be a bit forceful, rough, etc). I won’t allow that from someone I’m not allowed to even just talk to and get a better feel of them.

Another thing that was supposed to be that changed right at my first coffee date ever, was Hubby was supposed to be with me for everything. He doesn’t go to coffee. He doesn’t go to play dates. He expects me to have a good time but keep my eye on the time and check in every 20 or so minutes. If I’m late, he starts sending texts or calling, upset with me. If I don’t capture something he wanted to see, or don’t capture something from the right angle, or don’t capture it just right- then he isn’t happy about it and feels like I am cheating him from the experiences. And will go on about how I’m the only one having fun and these videos are all he gets. So much pressure...hard to relax and have fun.

I’ve had an anxiety attack once on a play date... thankful with my regular guy and he was so understanding. But always is. And patient. One of the BIg reasons he was my actual first experience in HW.

Hubby told me to stop taking pics, only get vids. Pics do nothing for him. He wants to hear me.

I giggle. A lot. I giggle when I’m nervous, when I’m being playful, when I’m happy, when I recount something amazing. So as you prolly guessed... unfortunately, I giggle when I retell my encounter to hubby. He doesn’t like that. It takes away from him being in the moment. I’m too soft; he can’t hear me. I don’t tell it sexy enough. I’m not trying hard enough. Trying too hard.

I like the build up teasing, flirting. I like the little nerves I get. Then I have an amazing, ah-may-zing time (at least with my regular guy...) then I’m nervous coming home, knowing something won’t be quite right.

We lay in bed. He “watches” (fast forwards) thru the videos. Asks an tin of questions, sometimes, and most aren’t sexy. Then I do something’s to Hubby. And days will go by before he then starts sexily enquirers about my play date...
