(reminder that this for fun and astrology is something I study for a hobby, these are all inferences based off of observations and not exact fact unless I knew him myself !!)

Aries Sun: Many people are "surprised" that Anton is an aries since the stereotype is that they're hyper and aggressive but aries men can be pretty shy + to themselves initially and don't expose their extroverted behavior till they're comfortable. Aries is cardinal, they enjoy starting things and once they master it will move on to the next task (Anton went from swimming to instruments, to producing, to being an idol what bigger example do you need 😭) before the relationship actually starts he'd try to approach but wouldn't just straight up flirt he'd want to begin a friendship or some form of banter/rapport with you. Since there's no water supporting his sun in his big six it shows he wouldn't be a super sappy "my heart bleeds for you" type of boyfriend but would still be passionate and serious when it comes to you as his partner. If you had a rocky past he'd try to have you focus on the "now" of everything and help you not loath. Has his random moments of boldness but they go as fast as they came LMAOO so savor them when you can.

Aries Moon: Many people view Anton as very timid and though he is on a surface level he is most definitely capable of boldness and quickly acting on his wants, yes he is a contained individual but when he wants something he'll shamelessly go after it. So yes ! he is 100% capable of initiating things whether its physical affection or if he wants to see you. If he wants you he wants you, plus, in a video he claimed that if it was just him and the person of his affection one on one he'd express himself more freely. Which makes me think if it were you two one on one he'd be super real about his feelings and his guard wouldn't be as far up.

Aries Mercury: Yes. the headcanons that anton would spam your phone with tiktoks and memes are true. He wouldn't be afraid of hitting you up frequently and seeming "needy" like he loves you duh ofc he's gonna text you literally at any given opportunity. Would probably have your post notifs on and would be the FIRSTTT person to like your post and story. He'd be very honest and straightforward when communicating so you wouldn't have to worry about reading in between the lines or having to guess about what's going on between you two.

Taurus Venus: He could have short lived phases of being possessive and literally viewing you as "his person". He wouldn't want the relationship to continuously rush into new bases he'd want it to have a natural flow and wouldn't rush you into anything but would still want to know where you stood on certain things and be in the know (his aries stellium influence, he welcomes change and newness but, as said before, wants it to come naturally and at a certain pace). He'd be sure to be someone you could rely and depend on and would be as patient as possible with you. Would express his love through physical touch such as cuddling, resting his head on your shoulder, napping together and through spoiling you like paying for your meal, sending/bringing food and random valuable gifts at whatever time. Gemini Mars: Oh he'd just love having one on one talks with you about anything interesting under the sun none of the convos would be surface level or shallow. He'd also flirt SM THROUGH TEXT every gemini mars dude I've known gets so flirty otp. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about the relationship having an air of monotony either. People claim that gemini mars people can be hot and cold but I don't think that's the case I think they're just aware that sometimes for a healthy relationship space is properly needed, so he'd let you have time to yourself/himself but with his taurus venus during these periods you wouldn't feel alone or abandoned because he'd still be there for you. Similar to Wonbin he could find your voice very attractive or a turn on. Gemini rules the hands, arms and shoulders so he may kiss you there or like to have some physical contact with them. Gemini also rules the lungs and nervous system so he might try to 'take your breath away'...take that as you will LOL.

Other Aspects:

Moon/Neptune Sextile: He is hyperaware of the feelings and emotions of those around him no matter how subtle they seem and also uses music as a vice so he'd use it to connect with you.

Venus trine Jupiter: He's naturally a giver and wouldn't be overly forceful, He honestly would nurture the relationship as much as he possibly could.

so guys 🙋🏻‍♀️🌸 i have finished the entire new quest at last and omg 👼🏼 like this was outstanding!! you see, what i really enjoy about star rail is that it gives me similar vibes to hi3 in terms of the darkness in the plot, since hi3 is my favorite hoyo game i always love seeing stuff from it or just similar instances. SO YOU KNOW FOR A FACT I WAS SO HYPED WHEN ACHERON SHOWED UP 🤺 especially with the hi3 story with kiana as the mc being over and although i still love hi3 the most, kiana, mei and bronya, that trio, they were all the best characters together AAAARGHHH I SWEAR AND JUST THE ENTIRE STORY LINE WAS SOOO GOOD, I miss them all together as a trio and especially kiana, the best hoyo MC FOR LIFE. 🙋🏻‍♀️🩷

also 🤠 ^^ that frame with sunday and dr ratio like 😙😙 WAS SO FUNNY I HAD TO SS IT. 🤺

the amount of cutscenes we got to see again was so fun, it felt like watching a movie slowly unfold while you got to be a part of it 🩷 you can tell that hoyoverse gets better and better with each update on whatever game and that the cutscenes are always so well done (i always liked them but the constant upgrades ??? insane) 🙏🏻

+ the acheron one shotting aventurine lmao 🧎🏻‍♀️ it was my favorite though ngl HAHA 🙋🏻‍♀️🩷 no matter how much i like aventurine as a character, MEI OMG MEEEIIIIII 👹🩷 SHE WILL FOREVER BE MY LOVE LIKE I KNOW ITS ACHERON BUT YOU GET WHAT I MEAN !!!!! 🙇🏻‍♀️ LIKE THE CUTSCENE WITH HER HORNS OH MY GOOOD THE NOSTALGIA LIKE YES GO OFF SHOW THEM

also guys, idk but aventurine's boss fight, 🤠 i personally expected more like it was so easy to beat ?! I THOUGHT I WOULD STRUGGLE BUT HE DIED PRETTY QUICKLY BUT ITS FINE, I STILL LIKE HIS CHARACTER 🌸🙋🏻‍♀️. + i was happy hoyoverse showed us his backstory and took their time to flash it out and not gloss over it in idk one/two scenes, but they really took their time with it which was amazing 🩷

also jade looks so cool as well! the design is very pretty and i can't wait to see diamond too, or the rest of the ten stonehearts but they're hyping diamond up so much like another emanator?? yes please, i'm all in🧎🏻‍♀️🩷

this entire quest gave me movie vibes, you were on edge the entire time and even during side quests you had to take, it was still very intense. it actually took me quite a bit to finish it of course since i'm someone who doesn't skip dialog, but it was so worth it and the best way to relax after a long day of moving my body 🩷 just laying in bed, playing while drinking tea!!

what i wanted to say too, guys honestly sunday is not okay HAHAHAHAHAHAH 🌝 I MEAN LIKE you guys🧎🏻‍♀️, that shiver in his voice at times and you can tell he low-key doesn't even know how to handle all of that either, of course, for one he looks like everything is accounted for while in the other, he sounds like he's losing his mind and can we blame him ???? when he went "why did you kill her" and lowkey cussed gallagher out i was like damn 🤠 okay 😏 HAHA + i'm somebody that doesn't think too much about theories, instead i love eagerly waiting for the next patch!! so i'm excited for what's coming 🩷 + robin's song slaps.

last but not least 🤺 you see, gallagher wasn't really somebody i was very interested in, but damn the second he turned dangerous and spicy i went oh my oh hey what's up ?? 😏 giggles HAHA LIKE WHAT IS IT ABOUT MEN WHO ARE JUST SUDDENLY EVIL AND IDK MAYBE HE ISNT COMPLETELY RIGHT AAAAAA OOOOO UUUU WWWWW AAAAA but anyways, 🌸 the last cutscene low-key hurt me like what do you mean sunday gets off screened while i was saving up for him for what? 👹 ever since fuxuan like how can you do this to me + no way they're dead dead 🤠because the last conversation aventurine had with acheron was very important to the next patch i'm pretty sure! 🩷

all in all guys!! 🩷 this quest was beautifully done, it had a lot of hard, dark stuff and it reminded me a lot of hi3, that's why i give it a 10/10, very well done. 🌸🩷

Wild Kratts: Our Blue and Green World Trailer.

Underneath the cut for those who consider it to be spoilery, but we have a trailer for the one-hour special, Our Blue and Green World, airing April 1st, 2024.

The Kratt brothers disagree on what's better; blue oceans or green forests. Aviva takes on the role of referee to demonstrate how oceans and forests work together to make our living planet, just like Martin and Chris need to keep working together. It's up to the gang to get Martin and Chris back in sync in time to save planet Earth from Zach and Paisley's villainous plans.

This special was first mentioned back in May of 2023 during an interview with Martin Kratt heralding the show's premiere of its 7th season. The original title was Blue and Green: The Living Earth before it was chaned to our Blue and Green World. The episode will feature climates and habitats corresponding with the Kratt's "blue and green." With it, will come the introduction of new Creature Power Suits: The ones we have seen thus far in the trailer are Indri Power, Green Anaconda Power, and Blue Whale Power.

My thoughts:

HOLY SHIT THE BLUE WHALE SUIT

*calms down.*

Ok but I'm starting to see a weird pattern in the PowerSuits in this season. For some strange reason, they have to retrofit the wearer's mouths to match the ACTUAL anatomy of the animal the suit is based off of. They did it with the Wild Pony and the Mountain Goat Power Suit and both of them were.... ugh. Now they did it with the Blue Whale Suit and to be fair, while I hate that particular feature, it's not enough to make me hate the suit. In fact, I kinda like it more because of how silly it looks (Martin is the perfect person to wear this suit tbh). Still though, I wish they designed it like the Crocodile, Hippo, or Puffin Suit where the giant mouth is simply an attachment that doesn't move while the wearer speaks.

For those who don't know, Indris are the largest species of lemur in the world (alongside Diademed Sifakas). They are the only animals besides humans that can find and use rhythm using "wailing songs" to communicate. They're also critically endangered due to slash and burn of their habitats and poaching for their flesh as delicacies (yeah, very odd that Gourmand isn't here, but I digress). There's an estimate to be less than 10,000 left in the wild and are expected to have a population net decrease by 80% within the next 30 years... yeah, considering that they're endemic to Madagascar, not a very good sign. I didn't even know what an Indri was until reading the article, and if I'm not the only one who had no clue about these guys, it's probably definitely a good sign that they're getting some spotlight in this show.

The Indri Power Suit looks so goofy, but again, something about how silly it looks just makes me appreciate it all the more. I... weirdly expected it to be way bigger like the Puffin Suit, but again that's just me.

I am a huge fan of how they designed the snake-inspired Creature Power Suits in the show. But the Anaconda Creature Power Suit... holy shit.

LOOK AT IT /POS

Look at the markings! Look at the green! Look at the patterns, and the color schemes! Chris FINALLY got a green Creature Power Suit to activate! Our boi won! It's also a pretty clever callback to the Amazon special where Chris met the Anaconda (I really hope the Power Disc for this suit is green because god that would be so aesthetically pleasing).

Ngl, if the old flash games were still on the website, and this was one of the Power Suits I could earn for my character, I'd play it in a heart-beat.

I'm really interested to see the Zach/Paisley team up. This season already started to utilize her better by giving her another solo appearance, and now we're seeing a 1 on 1 team up with her and another villain. I was always gunning for a Paisley/Donita teamup but this works too. They're both very similar characters that can bounce off each other in similar, yet different ways (I actually headcanon that they're related - second cousins to be exact - because of those similarities). The final battle is gonna be kickass.

If you were to tell me without any context at all that this was a screencap from the upcoming WK feature film (that this episode is often mistaken for), I would believe you. Because HOLY SHIT! The linework, the lighting, the hues, AND the shading! I am becoming more and more grateful for the 2-year long hiatus - the animators needed time to cook and they fucking COOKED. For an extended TV episode, this is pretty damn impressive.

People don't talk enough about this, but fun-fact: A lot of the animators of this show had experience working for Disney. Erika Worthylake was one of the artists on this show, doing several beta designs for animals such as wild ponies and salmon sharks. In 2019, she was the lead designer for Anga, one of the new characters in Disney's The Lion Guard (which, much like Wild Kratts, was animated in Toon Boom). Ben Balistreri had collaberated with the Kratt Brothers and Luc Chamberland in 2007 to work on the show's pilot episode, creating several different designs for the animated characters. Ten years later, he became the executive co-producer of Tangled: The Series. Kendal Brouet, who animated A Creature Christmas, worked on The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder in 2022. Just to name a few. It's just a fun little thing that comes up in the back of my mind whenever the topic of WK animation comes up, and this instance of animation is so fucking good that I HAVE to talk about it, because I have MAJOR respect for these guys, and if there were ever moments in the show that remind me "Oh, this slaps," I just remember what these talented artists worked on through the years and it clicks together nicely in my brain.

According to Whrokids, this episode is gonna have a runtime of 58 minutes. I found this screenshot of someone who did far more searching and sleuthing for new episode content (they were the ones who found this trailer actually). I'm not sure how valid this particular screenshot is, but if this is the case, then this will be the longest episode of Wild Kratts in history, and will be the closest thing we get to a Wild Kratts movie (until the actual WK movie is released in theaters).

I forgot the Miraculous Awakening movie was supposed to come out so now I’m gonna ramble about it (spoilers!):

The jumpscare of hearing Marinette sing in a completely different voice took me off guard

I’m loving actually seeing gabriel as a fashion designer and what his stuff looks like

Chloe sounds… very much not like Chloe and it’s off putting (idk if it’s a different voice actor, I’m not looking it up)

The movie started a bit more cheesy and childish but overall they did a pretty good job of telling the story. The visuals were stunning, though the story was a bit rushed but they did a good job. There wasn’t quite enough time to develop the characters and their dynamics but they did the best they could with the time they had. The person who did Marinette’s singing voice was amazing, but I wish they found someone who sounded more like Marinette if they couldn’t use the same voice actress. The lore was a bit different but I kind of like it better than how much we started getting in later seasons, I just wish we got a bit more explanation on some things cause we don’t have the show to give us answers anymore. The only reason I feel like this ending with gabriel and Adrien works is because they didn’t have as much of an abusive relationship and he actually had a chance to redeem himself, but I’m glad he has to actually deal with the consequences. I know there are tons of fanfics about it but it’s so sad that while Marinette knew who Adrien was, he had no idea if he’d ever see Ladybug again but I’m glad that got resolved pretty quickly. I’m confused on what they want to do next cause they clearly were setting up for some kind of sequel but gabriel is already out as Hawkmoth and Nathalie only helped him during that time but I guess we’d just have to wait and see.

I've recently finished the season 1 of "Constellation", highly recommend it if you are into scifi, space/astronauts and time-alternative dimension-fuckery. The show is pretty awesome, and Noomi Rapace, who plays the protagonist is also a favorite of mine (and she's killing in this role as always <3).

I won't elaborate a lot, due to personal reasons but also bc spoilers, but the finale really made an impression on me and I've been thinking a lot about it. It also reminded me a lot of a couple of songs I know with these themes of "lost in space (metaphorically and literally)", longing, loss/grief and so on, and I want to share them with y'all~

1- "Moonhearts in Space" by Tina Guo ft Serj Tankian

For context, Tina Guo is the original cello soloist in the soundtrack of the game "Journey", which is majorly cello all over it, as the "voice" of the main character. And also yes, that Serj Tankian (vocalist of System of a Down), haha. An unlikely pair that really pays off in this collab - Tina has a very intense and emotional playing style, and Serj really goes hard with sensitive, beautiful vocals as he does <3 I love how the lyrics are "all over the place", like someone's thoughts going from one thing to another really fast~

2- "Toki no Kioku" ("Memory of Time") by Yoko Kanno

This is the ending theme of an anime / 6 episode OVA called "Please, Save My Earth" - the main plot is kind of inspired by the tale of Princess Kaguya (moon beings experiencing humanity). The story of "Please Save My Earth" tells about these teens who start to have dreams from their previous lives, where all of them worked together in a space station at the moon, trying to find a way of helping Earth and humanity, longing for it. It's a very strange anime, ngl, but I found it so captivating, from the detailed 90s anime style to the mysterious, introspective narrative. The music is by Yoko Kanno (most known for her work on Cowboy Bebop's OST), and "Toki no Kioku" really reflects the somber and melancholic tone of the story. I'm linking the version with the ending credits because I think the beautiful animation adds so much to the music's experience!

3- "The First Corpse on the Moon", by Lethe

Lethe is a project featuring Tor-Helge Skei and Anna Murphy (former Eluveitie, current Cellar Darling). No lyrics here because they are nowhere to find online, and I can understand only some bits of it (I have a hard time picking up English in singing). It's enough though, cause the title is pretty self-explanatory. Out all of these songs, it's probably the song that makes me think of "Constellation" the most (if you know, you know). I've always loved Anna Murphy's vocals and how she goes for darker, more introspective themes too, and this song is no exception

The Good Witch Thoughts

When I first heard the album I remember thinking there aren’t enough sad songs on here and then I entered a depressive spiral and HA I WAS WRONG (Sidenote i hate tumblr formatting)

1 - The Good Witch

Like the vibe

“Still upset but I now I’m twenty-two” - I'm a sucker for an age lyric - especially the parallel with You Signed Up For This (“I am twenty and probably upset right now”) and the fact that it’s the titular song again

“Still bitter” - Reference to Details (love of my life <3), Reference to I’m Trying (Not Friends)

“The calm before the storm comes rushing through” - Harmony v pretty (around 30 secs)

“Still King’s Cross and pullin’ heartbreak out of hats”- Love the reference to King’s Cross, her London references makes it feel so grounded and especially again it being a place in London I travel through it makes it feel like a new album and a specific album to me (still King’s Cross for a tiny little while longer). Also relating to Elvis song (“last train on the Northern line”) always moving through London, experiences anchored in London geography. Also love the ramping up of the music here

“Still argue like my mother and suppress stuff like my dad” - The pace on this line really shows the suppressing stuff lol

“Am I better yet?” - Change from You Signed Up For This “I know I’ll get better/I’m just not better yet" Questioning it now like I know I’ve changed but is it better? Am I at the point I want to be??

Instrumental outro and talking hurts my heart a bit? Very 3 am fucked up in a club

Fave lyric: “Still miss you, but I know now it’ll pass/Found some other muses, I give ‘em all my best”

2 - Coming of Age

Oohhh very Club vibe

“Couldn’t erase you like a tattoo on my waistline” - Really like this, tattoo is LESS permanent than your mark, really hits

Really vibey chorus

“I let you butcher my big heart” - So graphic and so ?? Beautiful

Ngl this is all slapping so far

3 - Watch

Oh no is this one gonna hurt

“Nobody actually happy and healthy/has ever felt so desperate to prove it” - OOF

Yep I was right hurts my heart but a bop

“You’re being a superstar and all I got are victim cards” - This reads like being on the other side of Sk8r Boi by Avril Lavigne

“For a girl who’s a remix of me” - So interesting because a remix isn’t necessarily *better* it’s just *different*, like it mixes up all the components into something he likes more but it isn’t objectively more appealing and that’s such a refreshing take

Fave lyric: “I don’t think I wanna get better" - YSUFT reference, love the thread of getting better

4 - Body Better

A BOP

And really hurts

I am a sucker for happy sounding songs with fucked up lyrics

Music is so personal for me and this one is such a reclamation even though it’s so sad

“obedient blue eyes” - This line is AMAZING. The pauses. The lyricism. The casualness. *chefs kiss*

Such a good single choice bc it’s such an easy listen but so brutal so captures heartbreak and bops and also u wanna listen over and over

“Tell me just one more lie” - Come on just use your shitty lies to save my dignity this once instead of ripping it to shreds

Fave lyric: “When you touched it were you sorry like you weren’t at the time”, “The worst way to love somebody is to watch them love somebody else and it work out” or “Do you love her/when you’re twisting up all her sheets do you suffer”

5 - Want You Back

Oh no

Pretty humming

“The darling of your passenger side” - ooof such a beautiful gentle encapsulation of such a classic theme

The piano in the chorus might make me cry

Oh god this is so raw and such a strong heartbreak song

“I must go out with a stranger and kiss him to get stronger” - oh god that feels like every experience of trying to get over someone and I just can’t do it and ow. It's the epitome of get under someone to get over someone but at the same time you don’t want to because you want them back and you should want to be fine alone but you just c a n ‘ t

I can tell this is gonna be a strong fave

Fave lyric: - “What was cheap to you, to me, was all I had”, “But baby, when you touch her, I bet she doesn’t flinch” or “So you gotta be coward and I salvaged a little self-respect" - This hurts so bad like if it was your friend you’d be screaming VALUE YOURSELF MORE but because it’s you, you just want back what you had

6 - The Band and I

“Came a boy and left a man” - love love it

So specific but also just feels like every friendship group I’ve ever had

It feels like laughing til you cry and your stomach hurts and being up at 3am dancing and deep chats and crying together and every little thing

“Haven’t thought of home twice” - feels like a hectic Cambridge time or any second and third week somewhere new when you’ve started to settle and everything is new and fun and you’re flying and you don’t wanna lose it

Fave lyric: “I'm twenty-one and I feel evergreen” - The way she sings this is so wistful, or “It was falling in love/in a gas station/by the pickup trucks” - Love the juxtaposition, love in the weirdest and most unexpected places

7 - You're Just a Boy (and I'm Kinda the Man)

“You’re kind of awful but you’re not awful on purpose” - Ugh you suck but you’re not even aware so it’s better and worse because how can I blame you but also how can you not know??

“I’m on a one way trip to take over the world/you could’ve come but your head’s in the sand” - Usually head in the sand is to avoid something shitty so it’s interesting to have it like this, like you’re so determined to ignore flaws that you miss all the joy

“But you pushed me out quicker than it took me to put my jeans on” - Oof that hit and feels like such shame but suddenly you’re like no if you’re not feeling like you’re the luckiest damn person then I’m gonna keep on going and you’ll see what you lost

Fave lyric: “I take in clowns like a one-woman circus” or “Goodbye from the bigger man" - Reference to I’m Trying (Not Friends)

8 - Lost the Breakup

“Didn’t say it in those words but I know how your tone works” - Like okay yeah you can hide behind what you said but we both know what you meant

Like the second chorus changing to add “So I'll lock the window and turn on the AC/You'll throw your rocks and you'll scream that you hate me/But it gets old being forever twenty” - YES like being forever young for a man is not worth it

“What about my wings” - The way she sings this is *chefs kiss*

12 - BSC

Fuck me I really like that this whole album is heartbreak but catharsis. Like want you back, this and watch are all sad but all elements of something

“I’m young but I am aging” - I love that so much. Like yeah I’m young but I am getting older, I’m changing and growing and I’ll look back at this one day and laugh, I’m gonna make the most of being young but I’m not gonna be terrified of losing my youth

Xue Yang let out one singular strained laugh before his expression turned … wrong. « Oh fuck. »

Or of how Song Lan is led to what he thinks is a simple mountain village without knowing he has booked a ticket straight to finding out that Xue Yang is still alive and it eventually ends up with the most uncharacteristic duo working together to restore Xiao Xingchen's broken soul.

I'm afraid I have exactly 0 thoughts on alexandria besides "costume looks cool" so here's Contessa! Also very few thoughts on her ngl 😅 I gotta finish Loaf, I started reading it before I had ao3 and lost the link somewhere along the way. the "but they were wrong" would be larger if I didn't have taravangian from stormlight to compare her to - taravangian does way worse for way less and I'm still like Well I can see where he's coming from?

She is very stylish, though.

The one idea I think is underrated (the morality debates are pretty well rated, I think, albeit maybe not always well handled) is her parallel to Taylor. Contessa is Taylor in reverse. Contessa is a girl who killed a god, and then slowly sacrificed her life and self to oppose Scion; Taylor is a girl who slowly sacrificed her life and self to oppose Scion, and then killed a god. Taylor's resolution was the end of Worm proper; Contessa's resolution was the epilogue, where she put that little girl (in both herself and Taylor) to rest. I think the gentle ruthlessness she showed Taylor is completely reflective of how she will treat herself going forward.

The lyric "An end to all these violent means" is my favourite Contessa lyric of all time, even though the rest of the song doesn't fit her.

Also I do think cauldron should have just been kidnapping random ppl to make into case 53s. I don't know why Ward made it voluntary (albeit with the other option Dying). I found it more compelling when they were doing genuinely horrific human experimentation in their desperate clawing to save humanity. Then it really is a case of right things for wrong reasons, journey vs. destination, instead of "oh well the journey wasn't that bad tbh".

Listening to Proof in its entirery for the first time:

Starts out with Born Singer, which isn’t a song I love, but it has that passion and earnestness that was so endearing about BTS in their rookie years. I think the problem with the song are the rap sections. They’re fine, but they’re too long. RM’s verse in particularly just goes on and on unchangingly for more than half a minute.

No More Dream is amazing, obviously.

NO is not as great, but the rollout from NO to Danger is good - the songs have that charm rookie BTS had, like I mentioned before.

Still, things definitely improve when we get to I Need U.

I Need U is not my favorite tt by any means, but it was actually really nice to listen to it. It has that desperate earnestness of the previous songs, but it also has a sweetness and warmth to it the other songs lacked. It’s more interesting too.

I was really surprised by Run. It’s a song I really like, but I didn’t realize just how much until I began listening to it. I was so pumped during the chorus I wanted to jump around and dance.

Run was followed up by Fire and I was so hyped I didn’t know what to do with myself. Listening to these songs back to back was amazing.They’re such great songs. And though BST killed the mood a bit, it honestly sounded amazing after Fire.

Run, Fire, BST was an amazing run of songs, like so amazing. And I’m not even a big BST fan.

Ofc, BST was followed by Spring Day, which did kill the mood, but the song is so good I wasn’t complaining. “You know it all, you’re my best friend” gets me any day of the week. The sweetness and hopefulness of this song is endearing.

Then things started to go south. It’s not that I don’t like DNA, but after Spring Day it sounded so... artificial.

And Fake Love wasn’t much better. I love FL, but listening to the tts in chronological order really made apparent what is lacking in BTS’s current sound, and that’s their trademark sincerity. It’s hard to feel their warmth and passion for music and Army when their vocals are mixed like this. DNA and Fake Love are really great songs that just feel kind of empty and artificial due to the sound engineering/mixing - I don’t know music, ok?

The transition from FL to Idol wasn’t great, but Idol is my favorite song, so I can’t complain. I think the great thing about Idol is that the song fits the more robotic vocal processing BTS have now (although I personally don’t hear much of it in the song), so it doesn’t bother me. The crazy rhythm, lyrics, and fierce vocals, are so hype that it’s impossible for the song to sound artificial in any way. Idol sounds as if BTS poured all their strength into a song for the first time in years.

Ngl, BWL sounded terrible. Coming up after Idol, the autotuned vocals were painful to listen to. It’s also super simplistic. It felt like the quality of their title tracks, which had already began to decline somewhat, really took a dive on this one. I know ppl say this all the time, but I’ve always had a soft spot for BWL. Hearing the song like this, I would’ve been very disappointed had I been around when it came out too.

Then ON comes in and saves BTS from becoming “boring”. It’s such a massive improvement over BWL, and even DNA and Fake Love. It’s complex, unique, fun yet a touch dark, has great lyrics and some great vocals too... The vocal processing is kind of bad, but it’s better than BWL and the song is so complete that it’s not as noticeable. It would sound worse after Spring Day, maybe.

But then... Dynamite. The autotune really is disgusting. Dynamite was better than BWL to me, but I’m so done with this song. LGO is yet another song I didn’t care to listen to.

I became more excited with Butter though. I like Butter a lot, and you can tell it wasn’t produced by Hybe, because YTC comes after it and the difference is crystal clear. YTC also has really bad mixing or whatever you call it. However, YTC is pretty nice overall. It’s better than LGO and Dynamite.

Looking at all their title tracks, it really seems like there’s a zigzag effect, right? No More Dream > NO, but Boy In Luv > NO. INU < Run, but Run >= Fire, and Fire > BST, yet BST < Spring Day.

There could be a pattern, but up until this point the quality of the comebacks kept increasing, or stayed at a high level, even when some tts were followed by slightly inferior tts.

This pattern continues? SD > DNA, but FL > DNA. IMO, Idol > FL, but Idol > BWL... Yet, the quality of the tts is decreasing here. DNA is very much inferior to SD, and FL is generic compared to Run or Fire. I think Idol is a top tier song, but many people disagree. It’s also true that FL is a pretty good track, probably more interesting than Fire - it just doesn’t have the same intensity? Because it sounds, like I said, more artificial and bland.

ON takes BTS back to Idol’s level for me - it’s exciting and shows their growth, but their decline is still obvious... LGO, Dynamite, YTC, even Butter which I love... Butter is one of their best tts in recent years, but it’s not at the same level as even ON.

CD2 is a good listen. After CD1 I’m immune to bad vocal processing so I can enjoy anything. Run BTS starts off great (in the first 5 secs), but then it just slows down for no reason? Fortunately, it gets better and it’s a pretty cool song - I just think I’ll get bored of it, like I’m bored of Disease or Telepathy.

Intro: Persona is a great song, and it was a great follow-up to Run BTS. I think CD2 flows rather well - so well I was able to enjoy songs I don’t usually enjoy, like Moon.

I don’t love the selection of songs in CD2, but all the songs are sweet and are easy listens. They’re comforting, so they’re quite nice to listen to. I like Jamais Vu and Stay a lot. Honestly, they’re an improvement over some of the tts.

Seesaw is such a good song. I love everything but Adora. She ruins it for me. Her voice doesn’t fit. It “cheapens” the song tbh. She’s a good singer, but she makes the song blander. Seesaw sounds polished because of the cool instrumental and Suga’s rap, but when she comes it depreciates in value. I’m really not trying to be mean. I just don’t know how else to express my dislike for her parts in the song.

Cypher 3 is a gem and the odd-man out in CD3 lmao.

But it transitions well to Ego, and after that we’re back to chilling. I also don’t love Ego, but it sounded great in the CD. The “Map of the soul, map of the all” part is always great, I love it.

Her is so smooth and sexy, but honestly the chorus is kind of bad. Everything else is good.

Her is sexy, but Filter is sexier. Got me up and dancing.

It was actually a good choice not to mix older songs with newer songs, because then the newer songs wouldn’t sound as great.

Friends is always a fun listen. The “You are my soulmate” bit makes me emotional. I always throw my hands up in the air, and sway, and sing my heart out for that part (mentally, not out loud, lmao).

The mood changes rather abruptly with Singularity, but it’s a great song.

I complained so much about CD2, but it’s actually great. It gave me a chance to appreciate songs I can’t enjoy as much in the original albums. All these songs belong together, and are generally equal in quality, so there’s no real point of comparison as there was in CD1.

Dimple is a weird place to end the CD, but it fits too.

For Youth sounds better after listening to CD2 (though it actually comes at the end of CD3). It’s kind of a lesser Zero O’Clock.

Still, the more I listen to it, the more I enjoy it. The instrumental is pretty nice. It’s much more complex than it seems, because the song is rather predictable and unchanging. I like Jungkook’s part in the bridge, with the key change, though he sounds a bit off? Like he’s straining? But he sounds good too? That part is not difficult for him so it must be a choice, or maybe it’s the mixing again?

So, plot twist, I loved CD2 more than CD1.

I’ve talked about CD3 already, but I haven’t listened to the songs in order. Too bad it’s not on Spotify...

reacting to niall horan's new album as someone who has never intentionally listened to a niall horan song in my life:

heaven- ok its boppy! great opening track honestly, i feel like it's setting the tone for the album in the sense that it's both very production-y and fun but also has some hard-hitting lines (it's hard to be a human???). it's the type of song that should be played over a slow-mo montage during a season finale

if you leave me- i don't have that many thoughts other than that it sounds like a 2010s song met a 2020s song in a perfect middle ground. also the sound of the song is making me think i was right in saying that the first track really set the tone for the album

meltdown- this hurt me both in my anxiety brain and in my inner english major brain. "hard to tell the real from the dreams you imagine" was a very different kind of relatable both because i've been the person who would be "singing" the song, telling the person that i'll be there when it all melts down, and the person who was...melting down.

never grow up- i knew i would like this one because i'm a speak now stan, but this was a cute song in a different way (hope we still dance like we're falling in love 😭). it's just a very sweet love song. this is probably my favorite so far actually.

the show- this song made me intensely uncomfortable and i haven't fully processed it yet which is how i know it was really good. this album has been very sonically cohesive so far, that's for sure.

you could start a cult- ngl this song is probably my least favorite so far but it wasn't bad by any means, just not really super memorable (to me anyway). maybe it'll grow on me over time, that's probably it actually. i did enjoy the harmonica in the background though.

save my life- it's also pretty boppy, and it also has the 2010s meets 2020s feel! i love the chorus noise at ~interstellar~

on a night like tonight- ayyy wildest dreams reference! and also heaven reference! i feel like if it were any other artist, this would've been the opening track, but i do like where it was put in the tracklist. it's also a really sweet song, and i love how the beat drops.

science- this song is sister songs with meltdown. it has a similar feel as the show too, mostly because of the way that the chorus does that thing where it sounds like it's going to be one thing and it ends up being another thing. but i really liked this song! i can totally see myself playing this next time i'm up at 4 am and having a teeny tiny breakdown (the world's too heavy to shine 😞)

must be love- ok so the beginning is very relatable, like, always, but especially right now. the song kind of reminds me of that one taylor quote that's like "i try to plan everything, but i like the idea that love is the one exception" (not an exact quote). also the wordplay with a college degree/a first degree burn! inner english major is screaming!

alright final thoughts: it's a nice, really sonically cohesive album! a couple of the songs are going to need to be listened to a few more times before i really get them, and i'm definitely going to schedule a little anxiety sesh to process the show tonight. my top three are never grow up (best song), meltdown, and must be love!

Very laid back and chill, he isn't particularly invested but he doesn't dislike it either, gets himself mehdi (henna) with you!

He doesn't look like the type to join the dancing because he doesn't know what they are singing and also he doesn't know how to dance on indian songs shdhdh, but he makes a lot of videos! Especially if you are dancing, he zooms in just to see you dancing and watches it every now and then after the event.

He's not very keen into dressing up in indian kurta but if you convince him a lil more, he will wear it.

lmao please save him 😭 indian marriages are SO noisy and there are A LOT of people so ngl he would be really uncomfortable, especially if he isn't wearing a mask, so you will have to be his guide fr.

He follows you literally EVERYWHERE, even when you have to go to the bathroom, he will wait for you outside.

Refuses to even put his foot on the dance floor or even get near all those sweaty people dancing like crazy, but he will gladly wear a kurta if it makes you happy.

These two LOVE the vibe, be it wearing traditional clothes or getting mehndi, they won't refuse any of it!

They are very fascinated by all of it, from the food to the decorations to the rituals. They may find indian dances weird/funny at first but once they join the dance floor, its chaos. Oh My God. I think he is the type to be interested in mehndi ngl, he loves those pretty designs and wants to have them too, and surprisingly he is good at drawing mehndi even though it's his first time trying!

He is a little show off lmao, like yknow him being "the foreigner" attracts a lot of attention on him so he makes full use of it and flashes his pretty smile to make everyone fall on his knees.

Looks EXTREMLY pretty in kurta and its SO UNFAIR DJBDBFJF

I think he is the type who wants to join the dancing but his moves are so awkward and funny 💀💀 like he is good at dance on songs HE knows, but its not the same with indian songs he doesn't even know the meaning of, so yeah, make a lot of videos to make fun of him later lmao.
