SO MANY things ghfg #Even being aware of my particular-ness I was still surprised to see how many were in the 'dislike' and 'not care' categories lol #Also it is so so so hard being an Action and Romance genre hater YET being a Fantasy and Historical genre lover ghhjb #EVERY fantasy story is also an action romance.. every historical story is a romance.. ouch oof taking psychic damage always #KIND of like how I LOOOOVE point and click mystery puzzle games but I also generally dislike the horror genre #but many point and click puzzle games I used to see would have horror elements or be 'scary' in some way #and it's like HHRgghh.. I just want to navigate a creepy old dilapidated mansion collecting secret codes from books but NOT in a scary way!#just like I want fantasy & historical content but NOT in an action romance way!!#Also.. NEOPETS.. I think my two favorites are both one of the most common choices and also one of the least lol #like EVERYONE loves aishas pretty much. I think they even won a favorite neopets poll on tumblr. But then nobody talks about vandagyres #or even cares about them (seemingly) and they have like so few clothes or good options because they're just irrelevant apparently #also I know it seems very uncharacteristic for the neopet that's basically A Cat to not be in my favorites but I just gjhjhbj #the eyebrows of the wocky bother me. it doesn't match everything else. Even in different paintrbsuh colors it will be #nice and cohesive and pastel or something and then two big dark lines. I aesthetically love thick dark eyebrows on people it just looks wei #rd on a cartoon cat. ANYWAY.. fun to think about #I love ranking things always #also curious to know if anyone has similar opinions... my fellow vandagyre lovers.. and action movie haters.. cutthroat kitchen fans.. :0c #AND as someone tired of romance in general & ESPECIALLY cardboard cutout cishet romances. yes I would of course like to see more lgbtq+#stories in media etc. The genre is just not placed higher because so much seems to be Modern Young Adult Romance which of course I hate #those themes lol.. NOT 'is immortal bt still acts like an irrational 15yr old bc plot'. what abt jaded eccentric elder romance? hmM? lol) ANYWAY #always manifesting a 'high fantasy historical mystery comedy drama satire psychological character study (with vampires)' into existence lol #if I could make a tv show set in my world... the sheer power I would have.. and nobody would watch it because it would have NO action or #romance (at least none that was serious/was not framed as lame/goofy/comedic) & would have intricate complicated worldbuilding and be very #VERY broadly unmarketable.. but I would finally have a show that meets my tastes lol

the media which consumes your entire soul at age 12 will forever be a part of you. this is an unavoidable consequence of living and you have to accept this fact. no matter how old you get, no matter how long it has been since you last saw its smug face peeking out from the bushes as it follows you, no matter if you think you have outrun it for good and that you're finally finally safe and you hardly even remember it exists anymore and your brain knows a few brief moments of true peace, it WILL catch up to you in your moment of weakness. and listen you don't want to hear this but sometimes this is necessary for your mental health. you will on instinct want to reject it and run away again but sometimes. sometimes you just need to watch that old show or listen to that silly song or read that weird book again as an adult and it will hurt you a little bit in various little ways but it will also heal you a little bit. you can call it nostalgia you can call it connecting with your inner child or whatever you want but just listen to me it WILL HAPPEN TO YOU TOO AT SOME POINT AND YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED FOR THIS (i am forcibly dragged off the stage by security)

i've heard how isolating grief can be because everyone is afraid to talk to you but apparently having a scary diagnosis is the same way 🥲

from the succession podcast it sounds like kieran thinks roman has successfully pushed down the voicemail/possible guilt about logan’s death and is genuinely like .. not thinking about it, which i find really surprising honestly. is that really not going to come back? trying to figure out whether this is a “pre-grieved” situation (read: obviously a failing attempt at repression) which was my original take, of course, but the fact that kieran says, like, “i’ve actually thought about that” makes me think it’s not something that will come up in future episodes — if repressed guilt/fear/self-loathing ab possibly causing logan’s death is part of roman’s ‘arc’ this season, why would kieran say like ‘oh i’ve actually thought about this!’ like, that kinda makes it sound like it never comes up again, so kieran’s come up with his own take. but i mean… we’re supposed to think roman “yeah i pre-grieved” [one episode later] “i’m dead. i’m gone. it’s over for me” roy successfully pushed down the fact that his last ‘interaction’ with his dad was calling him a cunt over voicemail (his first time standing up to him Ever) which logan may or may not have heard before his death — and may or may not have CAUSED that death (we know the phone was found in the toilet, after all)??? successfully pushed it down my ass

#felt like it was such an ingenious direction for roman to go in — feeling like the one time he stood up to dad he killed him —#heartbreaking obviously but so so so full of potential #if roman genuinely is not feeling guilty about logan’s death and that guilt doesn’t come up in the folllowing eps ill be a little #disappointed honestly. like post 4x03 i was so excited to see where they were going with it because it was honestly like the Worst Possible #Situation for roman — logan’s death wouldve been devastating in any circumstances but the way it played out felt so tailored to be the worst #possible way it could’ve fine for rome…. idk man. i was so impressed w how it was like each kid’s nightmare. like the circumstances for each #character were the most painful they could’ve possibly been for that specific character. and rome in particular #like that was some of the most ingenious character writing i’ve seen in a while i was just in awe of how multilayered that experiejce was #for rome in particular like it was just so perfectly conceived to fuck him up the maximum amount possible while not making any of it feel #shock value y or whatever in the slightest #so like… if all of that ends up being kind of forgotten other than Logan Died….#i will be sad lol. what was the point of all that then!!!!!#it just feels kinda surprising — not bc it’s not following thru on an arc or a detail or whatever but bc on a human level it feels like smth #that would haunt a person for the rest of their life esp someone like roman esp bc it was his dad #succession has plot holes and forgets threads and stuff but typically it’s good at keeping the internal emotional logic of each character #intact so i’m just kinda surprised by the possibility that the whole ordeal might not have any more influence on rome than any other #hypothetical way logan could’ve died. idk. rambling #succession #roman roy

Don't know if you want a whole discussion about that group again but about jhope's new solo album I've listened to some of the songs on the album and even though it's not really my sound I'll admit the whole Jack in the Box thing referring to the story of Pandora's Box and hope is pretty cool concept and reference. Also was not expecting the whole grungy emo vibes from him and I don't know if I like it since I really thought he was going to go in the fun party direction but it's def a choice

i did watch both arson and more and there's quite a few interesting and thoughtful ideas happening in them, and i do really respect his artistry and the choices he makes. especially in how he decided to go a completely opposite direction from his previous solo music, and in a direction that is going to be purposefully unpalatable to a lot of the group's fans. he is the one that i expected this kind of thought from, especially when i found out that he was going to be the first soloist. i like arson better than more aesthetically (funny that i always seem to like their one-take style mvs more than any of their other ones) and i didn't think he would go with fucking up his face with sfx like that, it's pretty uncommon in kpop due to yanno, their faces being commodities. i don't actually like the music at all and i'm not interested in checking out the rest of the album, but i respect that he made interesting and challenging aesthetic choices.

#it's the most interesting thing hybe has done in years so he gets points for that #he is the only member of that group that i actually like if you hadnt guessed lol #not enough to like. actively care but enough be interested in seeing what direction he's going #when i saw the concept photos i was kind of guessing that this was the genre/style he might have been going with #OR it was going to be a ripoff of the 1975 sincerity is scary #not like. totally literally sonically but in aesthetics #which is one of my fave videos from them and i would have been unimpressed if they wholecloth ripped it #875 #also its pretty obvious that he's working through some negative emotions #so not totally surprised about the...emo rap? idk what you even call this genre #it was kind of the point for people not to like it and ppl were expecting party music so it was defo a subversion #kind of curious to see what he does bc he's headlining a music festival and that is sure not summer festival music #text #answers

I'm back in here after months (or a year) of not posting much. My life became super busy so I stopped showing up here.

I quit my job recently and now I'm ready for new adventures, I'm preparing and doing my part but I'm excited to see what life has in store for me.

But I'm so happy to have had the experiences I had this last couple of years. I have learned and improved so much and put so much time and effort into my career but also into building community and supporting others too, and I have received so much love lately it's crazy 💛

And I'm super proud of myself, the shy, socially anxious 15 yo me would not believe who I have become even if she saw it 🥺

There's many many goals I have rn but for now I just want to focus on resting, taking my time with things, focusing on my health and learning more languages because I love doint that 🙃
