Nostalgia hit and so I'm re-watching Rebelde, the 2004 one not the one on netflix, and I have opinions:
One. Everyone is out there calling Mia vain, superficial, fake, doubled faced... and she's actually the only good hearted person on the show along with Lupita.
Like the two main girlies in her group hate each other, one slutshamer and the other fatfobic and she's the only one being like: "can y'all not? shut it! don't be like that" when she could drop them & not deal with the constant bs
Two. If there could be a perfect representation of internalised misogyny it would be Roberta. Girl is out there being the real superficial one, judging every other woman by their looks, being fatfobic and cruel to be cool & different.
Three. All of those couples are weird af considering the amount of hatred they previously had, and those men are walking red flags and no amount of grief or shitty father figures can excuse that.
Four. The actor that plays Miguel was soo good looking, he has/d really beautiful eyes and a pretty nose lol

#yes!!#@ people in the replies being: we can't do mind reading toxic blablabla#it's not about mind reading it's about consideration and thoughtfulness#it's about thinking you know what it's strawberry season & she likes them let me get her some before heading to her house#it's about feeling cared about listened to understood and supported#especially when it comes to gift giving it's important not cause of the money or the materials#but because it shows how much someone cares how much someone knows you & how much time they are willing to put towards making you feel love#we just want to feel loved by our loved ones without having to explicitly ask for it#but we deserve better cause 99% of the time we do that for everyone in our life#once a guy i liked told me: hey you once talked about how much you would like to travel around... i recommend you this film about it#and i melted cause what do you mean? you remember our conversations? the details?#so be like him :)#sorry op for the tags 🙏

New music talk because I've become obsessed with 3 songs & I need to share it or else I'll explode:
- La symphonie des éclairs by Zaho de Sagazan. Whilst painting the house earlier this month, I put on a francophone pop playlist & I heard this song & immediately fell in love, but I've been fully obsessed for the last 3 days.
- Les visages et les odeurs by Styleto. I saw a french youtuber I follow recommend her so I checked her out & this happened. I've listened to her song about 10 times today.
- Mercredi by Pierre de Maere. I think I first heard it two days ago. I looove it, the vibes, the sound, the hard "r"s, everything
