i've been so focused on IYHM for the past couple months... now that the pub date is so close, i'm full of giddy anticipation and terrible dread. so thank you everyone for the love and well wishes! it's really getting me through it.

also, i wasn't sure how to announce this so i wanted to mention it while i'm here: Waterstones now has a special sprayed edge edition of IYHM! i got my copy a little while back and it's really gorgeous. if you like paperbacks i think the color is a lovely touch!

and as another reminder, i'll be having an in-person launch event next tuesday with Brick & Mortar Books in Redmond, WA! truthfully i'm torn between my desire to interact with people and my embarrassment at being seen in public, so please feel free to spare yourselves lmao 😭 i wasn't sure i'd do an event at all but i decided to try at least once before deciding if it's for me. so we'll see how it goes!

You roll your eyes but you can't help the smile that's rapidly growing onto your face. Soon enough, you notice that he's leading you two to the stadium where Taylor's performing. There's a rather large crowd outside of the arena, and the closer you get, you come to notice that they're all fellow swifties who are in the same boat as you.

"J...?"

He grabs your hands into his, looking down at your intertwined fingers shyly. "I know you were bummed that you couldn't afford tickets, and it was killing me to know that I couldn't snag some for you either. So I thought this would be the next best thing."

As if on cue, Lover starts blasting from inside the arena. Everything and everyone else fades away in that moment, and you look at him so tenderly. Your hands find his face and you kiss him, knocking the air out of his lungs. He reciprocates immediately, melting into you. Pulling away, you lock eyes with him once again.

"That mean you like the surprise?" He asks.

"Baby, I love it. And I love you. So much. Y'know that?"

"I love you more."

He spends the entire night beaming so hard that his cheeks hurt as he watches you dance and sing along. He twirls you around, picks you up and spins you. He kisses you during every love song. He's so swoon-worthy and perfect and your heart hurts at how thoughtful he is.

Oh man where do I begin.

- I have a soft spot for AH with hearts of gold, guys who are cruel in the beginning and then develop and actually are very sweet, they just had a tough upbringing. I don’t have many thoughts on Linebeck’s backstory, but he is a good person deep down, he’s just annoying <3

- his design is everything to me. Like, he looks so weird and goofy but so sexy at the same time??? Like how??? Also I love Jack sparrow and he def has a more well kept Jack sparrow vibes.

- I’m a HUGE sucker for father figures. Idc what people say Linebeck is a DAD against his will and I will not take any opposing opinion.

- his theme SLAPS SO HARD it’s amazing. It’s one of the few good songs ph has.

- I just love his relationship with Link, the nicknames he gives him, the way he talks to him, the way he carry’s Link as if he weighs five pounds. It’s CUTE. It’s not wholesome but it’s FUN

- there IS a wholesome moment in the game and that’s where Linebeck acts more serious and asks Ciela to look after Link. He cares so much for the kid and really doesn’t want him to get hurt I’m so HH

- the potential for a complex character with him is so fun. I feel like he really struggles with his self worth, he’s one of those people that act all high and mighty but he secretly loathes himself. I feel like the manga really points this out, when he’s possessed by Bellum and he’s about to kill himself, he tells Link to not be a worthless man like him. He thinks he’s worthless and doesn’t feel like he belongs. In the manga he doesn’t like being called a hero because he abandoned his crew. He has a lot of issues that he keeps hidden and I LOVE HIM.

- this man is so pathetic oh my gosh I want to marry him.

- I feel like he longs for adventure and longs to be a big named hero, but he really can’t cuz he’s not built like that. So the adventure with Link gives him a taste of that and he loves it, even if it’s scary he loves it so much.

- the music at the end of the final boss with bellumbeck, I go FERAL. The song dark waters beginning with violins playing a dark tune, then it goes into his theme showing that he’s fighting back, but then his theme starts to get more desperate since he’s losing the battle with Bellum, and then finally he loses. And then the final boss song is SOOOO GOOOD GUYS like the beginning is a dramatic version of the phantom chase, it has trumpets that sounds like Bellum’s battle theme, and then Linebeck’s theme that sounds more sad it KILLS ME OUGH I LOVE THAT WHOLE THINF

-I love how he acts on the sea cuz he’s not a coward on sea, I feel like when he’s on the water he acts how he wants to be. Heroic, brave, competent. He’s so lovely, you can tell he loves the water.

- he can’t swim, like why can’t he swim 😭😭

- this is a little personal but I loathe myself a lot cuz I feel like I’m a pathetic loser who’s completely incompetent and a worthless human being and knowing that I adore a character who is like that makes me feel a little better about myself? It’s complicated but he’s just like me fr.

- I love how before you go to the last dungeon he just, acts really sweet towards you? He tells you to have fun and to adventure and I feel like he really genuinely cares for Link and yeah. He’s such a dad fr.

- he’s such a unique character in the Zelda series. Like there’s not a lot of actual father figures hence why Rusl is also very unique to me, and Linebeck is kinda the same to me. But, I already said this in a post, he’s barely connected to Link or Bellum in any way in the game. He never knew Link, he’s not apart of some magical race, he’s not connected to the ocean king, the only thing he’s connected to is his knowledge of the ghost ship. He’s just some guy and I really love that. Unspecial characters are my favorite. And I know the manga is different but I prefer him being some guy

- we don’t know how good of a father he was but we do know he was a good grandfather 🥺🥺🥺

- in spirit tracks it seems that he did learn to embrace adventure and loved puzzles and stuff, which I think is neat.

- the ending where he wishes for his ship back, like it’s kinda cliche but it‘s so sweet 😭😭😭 he loves his ship more than treasure.

- he got found family’d HARD.

- ok there’s some parts of this scene that I don’t like but when Oshus promises him a wish and he goes full 180 and his music is super dramatic and he wants nothing more than to save the ocean king like he’s so dumb

- I love his banter with Ciela I think it’s so fun, tho I do feel like Ciela is a little too mean, they’re relationship means a lot to me <3

- when he knocks over tetra’s statue like PLS HES SO DUMB.

- he says he’s a lone wolf but he’s really not he wants friends.

- the whole thing with Jolene is so insane and so funny to me 😭😭😭

- his letter to Link after you visit Zauz is weirdly sweet to me like he can’t figure out how to put things into words and he can’t say it in person so he just puts it in a letter cuz it’s easier for him. He’s just like me FRRRRRR.

- he’s so scrunkley I wanna shake him in a pringles can.

- I just love him a lot

Here’s my little take as a person who is now reading the Percy Jackson books. I’m halfway through book 3. Update I’m done with book 3 now on book 4

Reading the books kinda ruined the show a little for me 👀 I love the characterization of Ares and the pure rage he gives anyone standing close to him and I was waiting for Percy to feel that and be a smart ass to Ares and we never got that and I was disappointed 😭😭😭 (still loved he episode and the amazing acting from Leah & Walker.)

Luke pisses me off so bad 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m hoping for a redemption for him tho, maybe.

We love Tyson 🫶🏽🫶🏽

Bro Ares is a piece of shit literally and hugs for my girl Clarisse, i actually love her.

Crossing my fingers that my girl Zoe makes it through the quest 🤞🏽(she didn’t 😭😭😭)

I wanted to write a love story in a style that was extremely old-fashioned, and frankly I didn’t know if I was going to pull it off. In many ways this was much more like a movie that from the 1930s than any of the others had been, with a slightly over-the-top, poetic style-and they just don’t do that in movies anymore. I was very happy with the way it turned out in the script and in the performances, but I knew people might not buy it. [George Lucas]

Beyond the obvious "they had to", I can give you a thousand reasons why they fell in love: the trill of "forbidden love", shared childhood experience, mutual admiration, their physical appearances, mutual idealization, loneliness, shared values like loyalty and family, a escape from duty, etc. Because they are such complex characters we cannot reduce their story into a simple equation that could explain why they fell in love. Because…why do people fall in love? we can’t rationalize human behavior like that, not perfectly anyway.

Her life before Anakin belonged to someone else, some lesser being to be pitied, some poor impoverished spirit who could never suspect how profoundly life should be lived. Personally, I like to think their relationship was the culmination of their time together and apart. Their jobs, their sense of duty, their longing for peace and family and, most of all, empathy for each other.

Most people looked at them and saw a senator, a jedi and little else. They built these masks to protect themselves…but when they were together they could see each other for what their really were. That’s rare and for it to happen you have to empathize with someone and, most importantly, trust them with yourself. Anakin and Padme had that. They had the bond, the faith in each other that allowed them to fully opened themselves and sustain their relationship beyond physical attraction.

The sound design was fantastic, I felt like I could really see the surroundings - the encroaching woods, the smudged prayer marks on the floor, the murky silt of the river - it was a beautiful experience. And I wish I could show you my face when I heard that Faulkner had got his testosterone from the CHURCH. NO! No no no. The manipulation! Show me a character in this show that isn’t so supremely messed up!! I want to help them all 😭

🧳 Travelling Light by @monstrousproductions (10) Another lovely instalment from my favourite wholesome sci-fi show. I couldn’t agree more with the description of home-sickness, you truly can’t predict what will set off the pangs for home!

🏛 @the-mistholme-museum (INEVITABLE) I have been hanging off the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen with the Beast. I love Not Eagle popping up as a contradictory voice and ATG’s completely cool, calm and collected response to it. I’m so unsure about the HoRestoration taking the Beast in . . . I used to trust her but after these cards . . . I’m less sure.

🌨️ @thewhitevault (6) I feel like I need to listen to this episode again to really let that Family timeline stick in my mind. Everything seems to be ramping up in Goshawk, and I suspected that there might be a few more unexpected, unwelcome guests soon!

❤️‍🔥 The Love Talker (7) This episode took us back in time to fill in some of the blanks regarding the main characters’ pasts. It’s very interesting to see how different Ren’s ability seems from the outside - it makes you wonder how it’s taken her so long to realise that the affect she has on people isn’t ‘normal’?? Is she a victim or a monster? I suspect it's gonna be both.

🏢 @somewhereohio (S2E7) Ooooh!! I was wondering when we’d get the answer regarding why Jasmine/Olivia was seen in that truck in Scarlet’s memory in S1!!! I feel like I need to go back and listen to their first encounter again to see if there’s any glimmer of a sign that Scarlet remembered her! The way Orange describes his variance sounds like a bit of a curse - but I have faith that he can do some good with it before the end of the season!!

🍾 I finished S2 of @ameliapodcast and it was so much fun! I loved the reveal that Amelia is a real, living person with an active role in the Project and I love that it’s Julia Morizawa!

🌫️ @souloperatorpod (2) I’ll be honest, I don’t really have a solid grasp on what’s happening here yet but the writing is very compelling, and I adore the music! I’m looking forward for the fog to lift a little!

Yaaaaaay!!!! Im finally done this took me SO much longer than I expected omg 😭 I’m so sorry for the wait! But! I had so much fun drawing this. I seriously loved the fic “Professionalism Failure” it was truly everything and poor precious Cyno deserves all the love!!

i was kinda nervous as this was my first time actually drawing the act of throwing up? It didn’t bother me exactly, but I’m wondering how it looks in terms of…quality? Or like.. does it look silly? Cuz one thing I wasn’t going to do was look up references 😅😂 emeto is one of those ‘love in concept, horrific in reality’ situations and I ironically really hate dealing with it in real life lol 😂. So! As far as if it *feels* and looks right we’ll just go by vibes for now. I don’t think I’ll draw it too often, but in this instance that moment was just so good I HAD to include it. All in all this was definitely a fun way to re experience your amazing writing!! And I can’t wait to read more! 🥰

I love so much that you drew Cyno actually throwing up, I don't think it looks silly at all!!! The vibes are indeed spot on!! It's such a wonderful depiction of him being completely vulnerable and Nari just being there to fully support him 🥺 AND!!! THE BONUS SCENE???? Can’t stop thinking about cute relationship between Oscar and Lando and his girlfriend. Like Lando is this goofy older brother that rarely gives advice or sth but he’s there and it’s enough for Oscar. And Lando’s girl is always there for him too and it’s just so wholesome. One time Oscar wants to ask a girl out he’s insecure because he really likes her and doesn’t want to mess anything up and he stresses that because he’s not talkative and good with grand gestures it won’t work out. So he does something impulsive for once and goes to Lando for advice because somehow he has a girlfriend (and they’ve been together for like 3 or 4 years). Lando of course teases the hell out of him and Oscar almost gives up but then he actually gets the advice he wanted and it works out and then Lando’s girl somehow gets a wind of the ordeal and is proud of her friend (and tells him he’s the cutest when he gives the short, tentative answers and if anyone thinks differently she’s gonna have a talk with them. Lando doesn’t like it but just goes with it because he’s so freaking in love that she could tell him the sky is green and he’d agree and defend the statement😭✋)

I was able to surprise my husband and let him know we were expecting not only 1, but 2 babies, and as soon as I seen that huge smile on his face, everything changed, any doubts or scares went out the window. "Hey Kev?" You called out to your boyfriend, who was currently immersed in whatever he was doing on his phone.

"Yeah?" He responded, looking up from his phone and focusing his attention on you.

Smirking, you decided to poke a little fun at him because you were just that much of a menace, and the next words you uttered were,

"Imagine having milk bags."

"Wha–hey!" Kevin exclaimed, greatly offended.

"That was so uncalled for! That's not even from my part of Canada!"

"Too bad, so sad," You teased, your smirk growing into a wider evil grin.

"Oh, is that how it is? Well, imagine having greasy fried food every day,” He retorted, hands on his hips like a child sassing back at their parents.

“Hey! That is not true!” You protested, hands up in the air in disbelief.

“Imagine using the metric system.”

“Imagine using the imperial system, who even understands that?” Kevin grumbled. “Americans.”

“Ugh, rude!” You scowled, arms crossed.

“And for your information, the imperial system is VERY easy to understand.”

“Uh, how are cups easier to understand than milliliters?” Kevin questioned, an eyebrow raised.

There was radio silence from you, as you didn’t know how to reply.

“Exactly,” He smirked, a smug tone in his voice.

“Well–well–imagine curling, what kind of weird sport is that?” You spluttered out, desperate for a comeback.

“Imagine football, I can’t believe you guys cheer for people who literally wrestle over a ball and kick it ONCE,” Kevin emphasized the ‘once’.

“Well imagine maple leaf!”

“Imagine stars and stripes!”

“Imagine Canada!”

“Imagine America!”

By now, you and Kevin were nose to nose, with you standing on your toes to reach Kevin’s height. After an awkward pause, both of you burst out laughing because of how ridiculous this little squabble was.

“Wow, that was…unnecessarily intense,” Kevin managed a breathy laugh, backing away from you to give you both room.

“We still love each other, right?”

“Hmm, I don’t know–do I?” You challenged, a humorous tone in your voice.

“Ouch, you’re questioning your love for me?” Kevin mock-gasped, putting his hand over his heart in a dramatic motion.

“That, (Y/N), hurt, right here.”

“Sorry, not sorry, Kev,” You walked up to him, patting his cheek lightly before placing a gentle kiss on it. His face bloomed bright pink and was contorted into a sulky pout.

“You’re mean.”

“I know.”

I am so happy to have discovered this page as a stucky lover! I have been trying to find this ao3 fanfiction I read back in 2019-2020? I can’t pinpoint the exact year, but I remember it being titled “Make My Wish Come True (All I Want For Christmas Is You)” or something along those lines. It takes place in an alternate universe with each chapter being based on a certain month ( 12 chapters in total to capture a full year. ) It starts in January after the holidays and finishes on the next January. Anyway, Steve is a baker with Bucky being an engineer. Steve has unrequited love for Bucky and it’s the typical oblivious idiots in love prompt. The fanfiction is filled with wholesome fluff and I love it so much, but haven’t been able to find it anywhere sadly 🥺 I can provide more detail if needed since it would really mean the world to me if you had any way of knowing where this fanfiction may be. 😭 Thank you for having this page for fellow stucky shippers like me who misplace their favorite written works or who are in search of certain ones! It means so much to me along with you even taking the time to read this 🥰

i just wanted to share/ask before i forgot

- i was kinda bummed you unalived i mean fired Brian off camera so easily, i wanted him to try reprimanding Oscar for his hilarious, politely sassy - but very public - comments during the Qatar GP and for Lando to come swooping to his defence 🫣 idea? maybe a leftover Brian Lackey? we all know Lando would throw hands the first chance he gets to defend Oscar

- also, imagine the Mexican GP in this universe - more importantly, the 5 F2 rookies driving in FP1 and your lore about how F2 drivers all look up to Oscar? Fred would be normal about it but imagine just 4 wide-eyed eager puppies following Oscar around and Lando just going full caveman banging pots and pans hollering in the town square declaring “THAT ONE MINE NO TOUCHY” in the background while Oscar’s just ☺️ ‘it’s really great to have them here’

- i was done with those two points but then i remembered Oscar inviting Lewis to an RC-car race after his win in Suzuka and I just 🤯 ??? Lewis IRL is so hugely supportive of the LGBTQI+, I just can’t help imagine how he’d fit in the Mission universe (accidental reluctant relationship guru? ‘don’t make the same mistakes i did?’)
