Hi! So I'm pretty new to the kastle fandom and wanted to know if there are any like- classic fics or interviews or memorable moments in panels and cons (with the actors) that I should know about? I know about the interviews that are on the kastle wikifandom page but only because I've read them.
helloooo! welcome to the family! it's been quite quiet lately, but frank and karen are always in our hearts lolol and every now and then there's a little resurgence, so that's nice. umm first up interviews. there's a lot of little quotes here and there that were a big deal. we didn't get many interviews of the two of them together, if i remember correctly. i think two comic cons were pretty exciting.
here are some interviews from comic con 2017 yup
this is a cute clip from last year, where deborah talked about how jon's intense but really uplifted her. and that they want to work together again.
(i'm looking at kastle's wikifandom and, really, the big interview quotes all seem to be there.)
“ … just in terms of whether this is Jon’s story to tell or my story to tell, you just want to kind of be respectful of everybody’s contributions. Jon and I have certainly felt that there is room for a romantic story in there. And there were certainly scenes where we took it farther in some takes than we did in other takes. We’ll have to sort of wait and see what the editors chose, and how far they decided to push it. But we as actors allowed for that possibility.” -deb cinemablend
deborah and jon were both supporters, but deborah was always including frank into karen's romantic potentials:
“But all of the romance I’ve gotten to play, with any of the characters in the series, whether that’s Frank or Matt, they all come from a need. From a lonely person, a person who doubts whether she is deserving of love.” -deb collider
**
“I like that Karen can say, ‘How far down this road of violence of revenge do you go before you’re ripped apart?’ and he can look at her and go, ‘I’m already ripped apart. And you are, too.‘” -deb 92.1 bobfm
**
“When professor [Jeph] Loeb [Marvel TV head] told me we were gonna do a series on The Punisher,” Bernthal continued, “first thing i asked him is would I have the pleasure and the honor to work again with one of the most honest, the most kind, and the most talented actors I’ve ever had the privilege to work with.” --jon ew
oh! karen page being announced for the punisher. very cute.
youtube
"i just want to say, you guys don't love him as much as i do" was very exciting when it happened lmaoooo. the hope for kastle was high.
*****
i'll be honest up front and say, i tend to forget a lot of stuff? so, basically, i can read a fic and then read it again months later and it's like a brand new experience. which is both a blessing and a curse. so, i basically just zoomed through my bookmarks to try and find some things?? 😩😩
(i'm scanning my bookmarks and.............a lot of them are basically just smutfdjklgsdfjglkdfjglkdfjg)
ballads for a dead man ❤❤ [three parts, unfinished] Safe up in the mountains with Frank following a bloody showdown in Hell's Kitchen, Karen wonders just how much more complicated things between them can get. She's about to find out.
these heavy words, your open heart 😘😘 (this was a kastlechristmas gift to me from @carry-the-sky 😊❤) “You told me once that I was honest. That I don’t lie to you. But the hospital—you asked me to start over, and I said I didn’t want that.” Karen sucks in a breath. Frank’s eyes are still on her, wide and bright. It’s the most vulnerable she’s ever seen him look. “I lied,” he says.
The Reporter  [kinda iconic ❤👀] Force Recon missions keep Marines isolated, entrenched for long periods in covert locations. They rarely received visitors, and in Frank’s long experience, the visitors were almost never civilians, let alone gorgeous blondes with mile long legs and sky blue eyes. Frank was trying not to stare. They all were. Well, everyone except Bill, who’s face had just split into a shit-eating grin.
The Flower Cam [oh god, the flower cam! i just remembered!! ❤] It had been a long time since there had actually been any flowers in the window. She must have trashed the white roses after his latest bullshit at the hospital with Madani and the kid. Good. Good for her. She should forget about him. But still… Frank couldn’t help but check every once in a while.
actually just, everything in their ao3. i have all this bookmarked.
(..................god, my bookmarks are really all smut. this says a lot about me.)
Castle’s Auto Shop ❤❤ yes. yep. Karen Page is in need of a car mechanic. Castle’s Auto Body Shop seems a reasonable choice. There’s just one problem: This little auto shop has become a well-known spot where less than honorable people to go get their car fixed…only to have justice find them at the next stop light. Having her brother’s truck fixed there means Karen will have to own up to a few secrets in her past.
Blood and Bone ❤❤❤! this is the fic that has seared itself into my brain. i've never once forgotten this. iconic. Frank Castle is a boxer at the top of his game. Laconic and anti-social, he has a reputation for being an incredibly-tough interview. Karen Page is a sports reporter trying to prove herself in a male-dominated field. She's done playing games--trying to be the "Cool Girl" who caters to the male fantasy--and now she's on a mission to take no shit. "For a while, the fact that an interview with Castle lasting longer than 5 minutes even existed was big news. Splashed all over the message boards—circulated among boxing and Castle fans alike. The very concept that someone actually got the man to sit down for more than a breath of time and give multiple-sentence answers to a question—it was huge. Massive. It was the only thing Castle fans could talk about. Until three months later, when Frank Castle disappeared. Then that was the news. It was the only news."
this is hard lmaoo how ludicrious. i have about seven collections from some of our events, as well. there's loads of good stuff in there:
kastlesmutweek 2018
kastlesmutweek 2019
kastlechristmas 2018
kastlechristmas 2019

kastlechristmas 2021

Omg so this is totally random but I just found out Julie plec published books about The originals and their lives when they first got to New Orleans and on the first book Klaus falls for a readhead hahaha. I guess he has 2 types (blondes and redheads ofc)
Oh yeah, I heard about these. I didn't read them, but someone who did told me more or less what they were about. Apparently Klaus was married to a woman at some point? I think she was a witch?
Considering all the magical babies, I'd say it's not even the craziest thing they've added to "canon" (if we can even consider those books canon), but with everything we know and see of Klaus through flashbacks, I have to LOL very hard at him being married 🤣🤣 I just disregard those books completely.

portwell headcanons: 'movie night'
for user @theshipdiaries!
movie night
gina has been living at the caswells’ for some time and ash has noticed that on thursday nights she gets particularly quiet and tends to disappear into her room. even at dinner, she becomes rather subdued rather than leaning into the more comfortable and open self that has emerged overtime
every time ashlyn tries to bring it up, gina brushes it off and says she’s fine even though she clearly isn’t
ashlyn points it out to ej when he’s over one thursday night and gets him on the case of finding out what’s going on because she clearly won’t talk to ashlyn, but she might talk to ej. ashlyn’s noticed that gina has a habit of opening up to ej when she won’t open up to anyone else
one wednesday evening ej & gina are just chatting on the sofa - ej is spending even more time at the caswell home this week because his parents are off on some business trip (again) and he’d rather not sit alone in an empty house
ej tries to ask subtly if gina and ashlyn would want to go for ice cream after dinner the next day or if she might…not be feeling up to it. ej is honestly pretty bad at even an approximation of subtlety so of course gina knows exactly what he’s talking about (and has a sneaky suspicion that ashlyn has put him up this)
but he’s looking at her with these big green puppy dog eyes and he’s trying so hard and she might even daresay he cares. so she can’t help but take pity on him and tell him the truth
she reveals that thursday nights were always movie night for her and her mom. no matter how busy they were, they would find time on thursday nights to sit down and watch a film, any film. she and her mom have tried to keep the tradition going even with the distance between them, but since she no longer has to take care of gina at home, her mom has starting working more and more nights so it’s hard for them even to talk on thursday evenings (but gina still tries every week). she tells ej with a crack in her voice that she just really misses her mom
ej immediately declares that there is no good reason why thursdays shouldn’t still be movie night. the caswells have a tv, right? and an account with any good streaming service? why shouldn’t the tradition live on?
he’s so earnest and determined that she decides she’ll humour him, even just for a single week
thursday approaches and she discovers the caswells have gone All Out. she already knew they didn't do anything by halves but this is beyond even what she expected. there are fairy lights strung behind the tv, five different flavours of popcorn, seven different types of chocolate, jugs of drinks set out on the coffee table with fancy glasses, blackout curtains, and ej informs her that pizza is on its way and ice cream is in the fridge. she doesn’t even know where they found the time to set all this up or how it passed her by, but she does know she couldn't be more grateful to them for this
they let gina pick the film so she goes safe with harry potter, something she’s loved for her whole life. she quickly discovers what ej and ashlyn are like when watching films. ej snacks a LOT, while ashlyn goes more for the drinks (and then to the bathroom). ashlyn chimes in with random trivia facts, while ej is an incorrigible fidget
when the film finishes they both look at her with hopeful eyes and the truth is it’s one of her favourite movie nights. ever
movie nights become a tradition for the caswells too, a sacred one that they can only skip if it’s an Absolute Emergency. they alternate who gets to choose the film - gina finds that ej’s choices tend to volley between marvel films (in order, obviously), noughties classics and sports films, both sport-centric and involving sport in some form (see: moneyball, a league of their own, space jam, 17 again, million dollar baby, bend it like beckham, the rocky franchise, etc). ashlyn sways more towards independent films gina can’t even pronounce, let alone has ever heard of, historical dramas, studio ghibli films and romances, of course (although ej is self-confessedly quite the sucker for romcoms too)
thursdays go from her least favourite day of the week to the highlight. turns out as much as she misses her mother, movie nights with the caswells are the remedy she didn’t know she needed, and this way, the tradition gets to live on
bonus:
one week, gina’s mother comes to visit. gina makes sure she’s able to attend a movie night, just so she can experience, in all its glory, the revamped tradition gina raves about so often. she loves it, and loves even more how much the caswells care about her daughter.
hope u enjoyed! let me know what you think of their film choices, i'm very curious to hear other opinions lol
send me a word and i’ll write a portwell headcanon based on it!
all of these headcanons here

Caroline tries on dresses for klaus (during 4x19) and teases him about having so many dresses. Could you also add Klaus admiring her because of how breathtaking she looks? 🥺
Prom Night Barbie
"I know why I buy a lot of dresses," Caroline teased as she wrestled with the hook hooks that even her enhanced flexibility couldn't clasp. "But why do you have an entire closet of gowns for me to choose from?"
She heard his shrug from the other room and could imagine the charming smirk. "I'm a collector, sweetheart," he defended. "Fashion is an art to admire just like any other."
Snorting, she continued to struggle with the dress. "Yes, I can see how well you display these works of art, all...tucked away in a guest room closet." But she sighed when the clasp refused to cooperate. Biting her lip, she weighed the options: give up on this one, or- "Klaus? I need your help."
He seemed to pause outside the door, then he knocked like she hadn't just asked him to come in. "I like this dress, but it's bowing funny in the back because I can't get it fastened."
The door opened slowly, and his expression was so tentative even as he walked right in. A hint of a smile pulled at his lips. "You're beautiful, Caroline."
"Yeah, yeah." She rolled her eyes and turned away, hoping he wouldn't comment on the blush surely rising on her cheeks. "Just...please?"
Warm breath ghosted down the back of her neck, and his fingers were careful not to touch her bare skin as they looped the delicate wires together. "There," he murmured just behind her ear.
She should have stepped away, moved to the mirror to inspect her reflection. Instead, she looked back to meet his eyes. The moment seemed to last forever, until she quietly whispered, "Thank you."
When she nearly wet her lips, however, she cleared her throat. "For the dress," she clarified. "For letting me play Prom Night Barbie in your art closet."
He smiled and backed away, nodding toward the mirror. "Carry on," he said as he moved to leave.
"Wait!" Klaus froze, and embarrassment might have boiled her alive for what she had to ask. Refusing to look at him again, she did her best to keep her voice even. "I'm probably going to need your help getting out of it, too."

What do you think Caroline's storyline on the last 5-6 episodes of season 6 would've been like of she hadn't turned her humanity off and there was no steroline crap. Or what would you have liked it to be, aside from her dealing with the grief, what would she do in those episodes? You know what I mean?
First of all, thank you so much for you ask! 💖 So, this is sort of a complicated question for me because I haven't watched season 6, I watched like the first 8 episodes and that was it. However, I think I know enough where the story goes and it's truly disappointing. I really don't like what they did to her character after Liz's death but that's besides the point.
As you said, I would love to see her dealing with her grief in a proper way, I hated that they did it all about Steroline, when what she needed the most was time for herself. My KC shipper heart it's 100% convinced that this would be such a great moment for them to reunite. Caroline is lost, she doesn't know what to do or how to deal with her pain, and Klaus being there for her, maybe in NOLA? (I haven't watched TO so I don't really know how bad are the things there). We all know he was one of the very few people that really understood her, and I think it would be cool to see their dynamic, ofc not in a romantic way right away, but him being there and offering the support she needed. I would pay to see that, tyvm.

Do you know the name of the all human au in which Klaus kills his birth father by accident and I think Mikael covers it up or smt. And he tells Caroline and says he's a murderer but she reassures him he is not? I know it's a long shot but I don't remember anything else. It's a fic not a drabble
Anyone know this one?

Ok so I gotta confess something... I haven't finished reading the latest chapter of The Wolf... I stopped right before Marcel's breakdown I JUST CANT READ THAT😭 it hurt so much the first time I watched it AND NOW I HAVE TO READ IT WITH YOUR INCREDIBLE WRITING AND THE INTERNAL MONOLOGUES??? I'm not that strong. So I'm waiting for the next chapter and then I'll be strong and read through it. So just know I'm still preparing mentally and emotionally! But I promise I'll be ready.
Well 😂 The nice thing is you read almost the entire chapter, the bad (bad? maybe?) is that I have no idea when the next chapter is coming out, so 😂 You get loads of time to process Marcel's breakdown.
But that's very flattering that you think I can write that part better than Charles Michael Davis' acting on the show 🥹 I'm not sure I have succeeded, tbh I don't think I have 😂 But the scene is very much longer than it was on the show, there's more dialogue, more shit hitting the fan, accusations thrown about, so. There's that.

Please 12 and 94
12 Roommate AU + 94 Hair Brushing and Braiding
Send me two (2) tropes from this list and I’ll combine them in the same story
Walking into Klaus’very nice apartment (two months in and the she still can’t believe shetechnically lives in it) Caroline’s careful not to touch anything. She’dscrubbed the glittery blue paint today’s shoot had required her to be coated infrom her face and hands but it’s still in her hair, all over the rest of herbody under her clothes.
She’d gotten some oddlooks on the subway though no one had asked why she was smurf colored.Probably a good thing because the story wasn’t that interesting - she’d justbeen the blue part of the dancer rainbow a music video director had envisioned.
It had looked cool,Caroline can admit, at least from what she’d been able to see on the monitors. She’s not sure that’s going to be comforting when she’s trying to comb layersupon layers of paint out of her hair.
She’s just crossingher fingers and hoping that whatever goop the stylist had combed in at thebeginning of the process had done its job.
Thanksgiving is next week;Grandma Forbes would probably withhold pie if Caroline sat down at her tablewith blue hair.
Caroline heads to thekitchen, intending to (carefully!) throw together a snack. She’d had a 6 AMcall time and it’s now nearly 11 PM. She won’t be sleeping for a while so foodseems like a good plan.
Klaus seems to havehad the same idea and he drops the bottle of mustard he’d been holding when helooks up and sees her. His mouth opens, eyes going wide with shock. That onlylasts a second before he’s laughing.
Caroline sighs, plants her hands on her hips, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up.”
Klaus, apparently, doesn’t need the invitation. He steps closer, circling her. His fingertipsgraze the back of her neck as he makes another low noise of amusement. Carolinegrits her teeth and locks her muscles against a shiver. “It seems you’ve had aneventful day,” Klaus says lightly.
“It was actually apretty good one.” She’d gotten to work with one of her favorite choreographersand she’d even complimented Caroline as they were packing up.
Klaus is in front ofher again, still smiling. “I’m pleased to hear it.” His head tips to the side, expression shifting to something a little more contemplative. “Is thepaint...everywhere?”
Caroline snorts athis attempt at delicacy. “Wardrobe consisted of a nude thong and what wasbasically a bikini top plus all the paint so yeah, it’s everywhere.”
“Such suffering foryour art.”
She’ll take that as acompliment. Klaus has a tendency to lock himself in his studio for days at atime, to shuffle out with all the lucidity of a zombie, strip off anything thatmight have paint on it, and crash on the nearest semi comfortable surface.
She’d kept her eyespolitely averted as she’d covered him with a blanket the first time she’d foundhim flopped across the couch in only his boxer briefs. The second time she’dlooked a little. The third time a little more.
She shakes her headto clear it, hopes Klaus won’t notice she’s blushing. “Well,” Caroline sayscheerfully, “art paid well this time so I’ll Venmo you some money once thecheck clears.”
Klaus makes a face, waves a dismissive hand and returns to his sandwich fixings. “Suit yourself, love.”
Caroline had beendubious when Marcel had offered up his friend Klaus’ place as an option whenshe’d complained about her housing woes. They worked at the same bar and it hadbeen a slow night. She’d been crashing on an air mattress in the corner ofBonnie and Enzo’s teeny studio. Neither of them had said anything but Caroline couldtell she’d been seriously cramping their style.
Caroline had knownhousing in New York was tough. Finding a place that was affordable, not likelyto result in her getting serial killed, and not filled with totalnutballs had been proving near impossible.
Until Klaus.
She’d balked whenshe’d heard the address, knowing it was waaayyy out of her budget. Marcel hadexplained that Klaus didn’t actually charge a set rent, that he’d inherited theplace and piles of money from a biological father he’d never known about.Marcel had been living with Klaus for three years, and the other rooms had beenoccupied by a rotating group of friends and friends of friends, mostly creativetypes. When Caroline had asked how much Marcel paid he’d shrugged and said,“Depends on how good my tips have been.”
Caroline had, ofcourse, assumed there was a catch - a pervy one - but Marcel had informed herthat wasn’t the case. With few options she’d agreed to check it out, had made apoint to mention that her sheriff mother had ensured Caroline was well versedin self defense, owned discrete weapons, and knew how to shoot a gun and hitwhat she was aiming for.
Marcel had beenamused, Josh kind of scared. Klaus hadn’t seemed phased and had told her shewas welcome to take her pick of the two empty bedrooms as long as she didn’t gointo his studio unless invited.
She’d taken the onewith the tiny ensuite, the lure of having her own bathroom again too temptingto resist.
It’s a call she kindof regrets at this moment. She ends up shaving her legs outside the shower, foot propped up on the sink, the stall too tricky to maneuver in. Washing thepaint away might have been easier had she chosen to share one of the bathroomswith a tub. Although, maybe she can just borrow one.
“Where are Marcel andJosh?” Caroline asks, gingerly opening the fridge. She’d hidden two pieces ofpizza in the back, they’ll make a perfect late dinner.
“Marcel’s on a date, told me not to wait up. I believe Josh is at Aiden’s.”
“So probably notlikely to answer my texts,” Caroline grumbles, more to herself than Klaus.
He’s only about afoot to her left so of course he hears. “Likely not,” he agrees. “Why, did youneed something?”
“Not really. I justthought a roomier bathroom might make scraping myself down easier. But I candeal with mine.”
She feels Klaus’ eyeson her and turns once she’s retrieved what she wants. Caroline tucks a bottleof water under her arm and faces him, “What?”
“You can use mybathroom.”
Caroline’s browsshoot up, “Seriously? I thought not invading your space was the number one rulehere.”
“It’s not invading ifI offer, is it?”
She bumps her hipinto his, “Don’t be a smartass. Do you really want me to get it all blue?”
Klaus seemsunconcerned, “Given your commitment to tidiness I have no doubt you’d rightit.”
Okay, he has a point.“Then thanks, that would be great.” She turns from him, intending to gather herrattiest towels but she feels her skin pull with the movement. Once she stripsoff her leggings and sweater there’s going to be an avalanche of dry paintcoming off her. She turns back to Klaus, “Do you happen to have like, a dropcloth, or something I could borrow, too?”
Klaus nods easily,“Several. I’ll grab them.”
Caroline grins athim, “Have I mentioned you’re the best sort-of landlord I’ve ever had?”
The look he shootsher is exasperated, almost annoyed. “And here I thought we were on our way to becoming friends.”
He’s left the kitchenbefore she can formulate a reply. She’s still thinking of what she would havesaid when she taps on his half-open bedroom door. It glides open a little moreunder her knuckles and she hears Klaus call for her to enter. Caroline looksaround when she does - she’s never been in Klaus’ room - notes a giant bed, apacked bookcase, and a low leather couch under the window, sketchbooks piled onan end table.
She doesn’t linger, figures being too into snooping when Klaus was doing her a favour would berude. There’s light coming from a short a doorway on the opposite side of theroom and Caroline walks towards it. To the left is a closet direct from herdreams, to the right she sees gleaming white porcelain and slate grey tile.
“Oh my god, it’s likea hotel in here,” Caroline mutters. He’s got a huge tub and an even biggershower (with a rainfall shower head and several jutting from the walls) Thereare two sinks, one with a razor and various products lined up. Klaus isspreading out the drop cloths in front of the other.
She walks over, setting the supplies she’d gathered down. She figures two bars of soap shoulddo it. Hopefully. “Thanks again for this, Klaus. Really.”
He straightens, catching her eyes in the mirror. “Again, it’s no trouble. Do you need anyhelp?”
She can tell hehadn’t meant to say it, or at least he’d meant to say it differently, becausehis expression turns mildly horrified. Caroline grins, enjoying the sight ofKlaus flustered, something she’s never witnessed before.
She wouldn’t be atall opposed to seeing it more often.
“Well, helping meshower would certainly be friendly,” Caroline teases.
Klaus eases a bitcloser, once more smooth and assured. Interested, if she’s judging the heat inhis eyes correctly. His hand comes to rest on her waist and he leans in tospeak quietly, so she can almost feel his lips brushing her ear, “I imaginewe’d be feeling something rather different were I to do such a thing.”
Caroline doesn’tbother to try to hide her sharp inhale.
Klaus smirks, clearlydelighted with himself and her reaction. “And while I am open to such an experience I had actuallymeant something different.” He reaches passed her, pressing against her back, plucking up the wide toothed comb she’d set down. “Once upon a time my brotherKol deposited a rather large quantity of gum in my sister Rebekah’s hair. Isomehow got roped into helping her remove it.” One of his fingertips touchesher hair and he grimaces, “I feel as if that experience might be useful.”
Caroline can’t fault his logic. Her hair hadbeen pinned back and they’d wanted it to look wet, had reapplied the paintoften throughout the course of the day. It’s practically a paint helmet at thispoint.
And if he’s offering…
“You know what? Yeah,if you don’t mind. It’ll get done faster if there are two of us.”
They decide thatsitting down is the smartest way to go about it. Caroline manages to fish allthe pins out, to uncoil the stiff ropes that her hair had formed. Klaus sitswith his back against the tub, his legs outstretched. Caroline sits in front ofhim, twisted to the side, her legs crossed and resting against one of his. He’sworking on combing out the left side of her head; Caroline’s struggling withthe right.
It’s surprisingly…nice. Companionable, even. He seems interested in hearing about the shoot, thesets and the video’s concept. Caroline’s tried to make an effort not to be animposition to Klaus, keeps to her room unless Marcel and Josh are hanging outtoo. Marcel had initially described Klaus as temperamental and Caroline’sbeginning to think her interpretation of that had been off.
She’d assumed it hadbeen a diplomatic way of saying, “Klaus is pure evil and hates all people” butthat seems to have been incorrect. He certainly doesn’t seem to hate her.
He makes a noise, sympathetic, grabbing her attention. “Hold still a moment, would you?” He grabsa clump of her hair, attacks a stubborn knot, doing his best not to pull toomuch.
Caroline does herbest not to move, taking the opportunity to study Klaus while he’sconcentrating. “Do you want to do something tomorrow?” she asks impulsively.“Dinner, maybe?”
His eyes flick tohers and she thinks she reads a little intrigue there.
“What kind ofdinner?” Klaus asks. “The kind where you wear something short and tempting andI insist on paying the bill?”
Caroline’s kind ofglad she’d been reading the room correctly, “Yup, exactly. And hey, if thingsgo really well it’ll be the shortest walk of shame ever.”
Klaus refocuses onhis task but his dimples appear, his smile pleased, “Why Caroline, I thoughtyou’d never ask.”

Ok so another question about The Wolf.... when does Klaus say he loves Caroline for the first time? Or was it just assumed? I thought it was 2x14 but I was re reading and he does say it before. Do you remember?
I could be wrong because it's been a while, but I think the first time Klaus says Ily is on the last chapter of The Wolf. It was implied before that and I think Elijah says it like "I know you love her" or something like that, but first time he says it himself and to Caroline, pretty sure is on the last chapter of the first story.

Hi hi hi hi LOVE ALL YOUR WRITING btw!! I wanted to know if Klaus ever found out in The Wolf series about what Damon did. I have been reading every chapter as it comes out since The Wolf 1 so I don't remember well. Hope you can let me know because I would love to re read that scene!
Hi friend! ❤️ You're so nice, ty!
No, Klaus never found out about what Damon did. Caroline tells Cami in TW1, but not Klaus. It was a deliberate choice on my part because I couldn't see Klaus not having an extreme reaction to that, especially since they go to Mystic Falls in TW2. I'd have to kill Damon lol And I didn't want to mess with canon in such a dramatic way, that kinda changes everything, everywhere. Instead, i wanted Caroline to take charge of that and do something for herself, which is why she kinda sends a message to Damon in one of the final chaps of TW2 (I think 28?). She doesn't need Klaus to defend her, if she she wants him gone, she can kill him herself, and now he knows.
