I think i got possessed by lemony snicket because I woke up at 3 AM this morning and wrote this
Although it is often said that “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” most people who never been killed can tell you that this is not necessarily the case. Rabbits do not typically kill you, nor do sandals or hats or lemon poppy seed muffins—unless something has gone terribly wrong—but these things do not necessarily give a person strength. All that can really be said is “what doesn’t kill you doesn’t kill you.”

Rewatching Patricia and Eddie’s first kiss gives me such a strong hit of serotonin because “this is my last attempt Patricia” bullshit. he would have never given up. and “I told you, I like you, which you know was not easy for me” this amount of ‘you mean enough to me to be vulnerable and honest with you and it’s gross but I like it’ it’s just so beautiful coming from a young man with a history of abandonment issues and a tough guy act. and finally “c’mon you’re killing me! What do I have to do to get a reaction?” Followed by The kiss. The perfect reaction. Patricia not being able to blab and yack for a while is the whole reason she and Eddie became official cause there is no way she would have verbally been able to say what she meant, so yeah their first kiss was everything.

Sam Wilson
Sharon Carter
The guy running and screaming “close the bay doors!”
The air control techs who let Steve, Maria, and Sam in with a simple, yes, sure, please do come in, sir
The guy who wouldn’t launch the helicarriers
The members of the world security council who stood up to Pierce (not if it was your switch)
All the people who were trying to be “the only air support captain Rogers has”
This movie was about every person having the same energy as Steve Rogers; every person can be a hero if they choose to.
This movie is somehow more relevant in 2019 than it was in 2014.

I have come to a realization that the reason why I’m not committing to fully shipping SydCarmy and still have strong pessimism about it is because of (MCU) Romanogers.
There was really strong chemistry between Romanogers like SydCarmy. But at the end of the day, Romanogers was never explored and didn’t happen. It’s even worse when I remember both ships have the work husband-work wife dynamic.
I have been diagnosed. I am traumatized by my past.

sorry this is my last jeroy brainrot for the day. that scene of jerome asking joy out is immaculate. the background music made it feel all that more romantic, and the shots were Everything.
like the fact that joy was elevated on the stairs with the stained glass right behind her made it feel like an actual proposal. and jerome’s shy “say yes”… i rewatch that scene over and over just to hear it again. and when joy smiles shyly after being called adorable - it’s a face that she used to only reserve for fabian.
and obviously the dialogue… “so you’d wash a dog for me?” “okay so it’s not climbing a mountain” (which i feel like echoes all of the lengths jerome felt like he needed to go to in his past relationship/s just to win their hearts or keep them around) and joy reassuring him with “no i think it’s better” basically just saying that it’s not about what you do it’s about who you’re with and im :((((
that scene in itself was already a good preface to what made them different and what made them work well together. jerome didn’t have to do anything grand, and joy promised him that it was okay. that he was enough regardless.

how do you guys think jeroy are doing now.. in my head theyre living in a flat thats a good distance from where they both work individually and they have two cats. nothing serious comes to mind i just think theyre being domestic. they probably like building furniture together or smth. jerome is obsessed with online shopping (to buy stuff for their pets). joy loves reading and watching movies and doing yoga on the weekends and she has a routine that she pulls jerome into so that he doesn’t keep thinking about or doing work. ofc joy is an event organizer and jerome is a businessman. maybe their friends from anubis house ask them when the hell they’re gonna get married and they sort of just avoid the topic in public but when they’re alone they always say stuff to each other like “hey when we’re married, behavior like this won’t fly anymore” or “we should leave space in here for a crib” “the spare room should work” meaning its definitely set in stone and theyre just waiting for each other to make a move
other than that im sort of drawing a blank on the rest of their life together. i just know they’re happy and that is a Fact

This is an appreciation post for Ali Hadji-Heshmati and his bang-on portrayal of George - I didn’t fully appreciate how good it was until I read the books and then rewatched the series. He nails the specifically expressionless delivery of lines that characterises George in the books, and seeing him light up and smile whenever he’s in his element theorising, relaying information or besting Bobby Vernon was a joy to watch. Yeah. Love you Ali.
