If you've always wanted a castle with a dungeon, here's your chance, b/c this house has one. The idyllic looking 1922 Tudor in Portland, OR looks like a lovely country estate, and for the most part, it is. 5bds, 6ba, $3.5M.
Tumblr media
The long entrance hall.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The house looks like a Tudor outside, but it's very castle-like on the inside. Look at the magnificent great room.
Tumblr media
The dining room looks like it's in a castle with it's stone walls and fireplace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chef's kitchen has fancy carved tri-color cabinetry.
Tumblr media
Off the kitchen is a dinette/family room combo with a lovely big fireplace.
Tumblr media
Nicely updated powder room.
Tumblr media
Handsome wood paneled home office.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The large primary bedroom has a door to a terrace, built-in corner shelves, and a pretty fireplace.
Tumblr media
Love the preserved retro baths. The toilet and tub are original.
Tumblr media
Big home theater.
Tumblr media
I don't know what this room is, but I think it's related to the dungeon.
Tumblr media
And, here's the dungeon. It's very well-lit and features steel doors.
Tumblr media
You'll have to decorate it yourself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The grounds are absolutely stunning.
Tumblr media
There's also this lovely guest house.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beautiful greenery and water features.
Tumblr media
There's even a lily pond.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are 2.99 acres of gorgeous grounds.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOKAN ❤️❤️❤️ hope you have the best day and best birthday!! Thanks for being such a great friend to me these past few years (crazy to think about tbh like how did one of my favorite writers become a friend?). Thanks for all you do and for letting me live in your imagination so I can decompress from life. Anyway, love your brain, your writing, and you! I hope you have the best one!!!
(P.S. still thinking about the klaus and caroline dancing scene from the end of the wolf pretty sure it’s one of my Roman Empires)
Hi, Amanda friend! 🥰❤️ You are so nice, thank you so much for this message 🥹 This fandom has made me crazy at times but it has also allowed to meet some of the loveliest people ever. I'm so glad we became friends! ✨🫂
Dancing is totally their thing in my heart 😭 I love a ship who are canonically both fantastic dancers who actually enjoy doing it. 💗

YOKAN!!!!
Omg. I just thought about this and I HAD TO SHARE IT WITH YOU.
imagine this scene (after Klaus is back and blah blah):
During Caroline's birthday, one of the crescents (let's say Lisina, mostly because she's the lead, but it could any of them) is acting up and Klaus is this close 👌 to rip off their head. Instead, he just wosh away (or anyway, doesn't lead on the fight) and Caroline is stunned. When they are back home, she asks something like "Not that I didn't appreciate it, but how come you didn't try to strangle them? I know you were aching for it." AND KLAUS SIMPLY SMIRKS AND REPLIES WITH "On your birthday? do you really think that low of me?" AND CAROLINE JUST GIGGLES AND SAY SOME SHT LIKE "no, not anymore"
So...yeah, leaving this here in your inbox, just in case 👀👀
Tumblr media
I figured it was you even before I saw the follow up message 😂
That is actually very sweet and I can totally see it happening. 😂 Klaus' love language (especially when it comes to Caroline) is just to not kill people he really wants to choke to death for her sake. And they say romance is dead. 🥹

light years | the unrequited carolijah trilogy
oh, the glory of it all was lost on me
'til i saw how hard it'd be to reach you
and i'd always be light years, light years away from you
Elijah knew it was wrong.
His brother was happy, finally. For a thousand years that was all he had wanted, really. For Niklaus to find happiness — not gratification, not satisfaction or wicked delight at killing and scheming for power.
But actual happiness. The kind that made his eyes soften, that made him smile like he used to when they were humans.
And he had all that now. Whenever he was around Miss Forbes — Caroline —, he looked like Elijah had not seen him in a long while. Perhaps like he had never seen him before, truly.
Perhaps his brother would hesitate to use the word, but he was certain there was love in Niklaus’ eyes whenever they looked at her. Always searching for her presence in the room before anyone else’s. His eyes always darting to her face to catch her reaction, to seek her approval.
And she returned it in kind. With eyes rolls and occasional — well, rather frequent, truth be told — stern looks and those smiles… Niklaus’ breathing stopped for a second whenever she smiled at him like that.
And everytime it felt like a knife was being twisted deep into his stomach.
They were happy. And Elijah wanted that for them.
But shouldn’t he be happy, too?
A thousand years looking after his brother. A thousand years sacrificing everything for Niklaus’ sake… And where was his reward? Shouldn’t someone be looking at him like that?
… Shouldn’t she?
He hadn’t meant to care. Hadn’t meant to think highly of her. She was supposed to be a mean to an end… All that it mattered was the part she would play in his brother’s redemption.
He hadn’t seen it coming. These… These feelings. But after the late night talks after she had fought with Niklaus. After getting to know her… He understood what Niklaus saw in her. Couldn’t help but see it himself.
Bright and beautiful and capable of lighting the darkest moments, the darkest hearts.
She would smile at him and he would — for a fleeting moment — be thankful for her presence. But just for that moment before bitterness washed over him because her smiles to him were so different from her smiles to Niklaus.
Warm and friendly. Not secretive and with blushing cheeks or adoring eyes… Especially after the constant escapades to desert room in their house, where they didn’t waste time burning sage and Elijah had to fight down the urge to burn the whole town to the ground.
He would treat her well. Hell, he vowed he would treat her better than his brother — would worship her twice as much as he already did.
But she would still reserve those smiles to Niklaus only.
Caroline had noticed it for a while now.
She had mistaken the warmth in his gaze as a sign he was warming up to her as a friend at first. But now she could see it was more than that. More complicated.
It made living with the Mikaelsons a lot stranger than it already was.
Elijah was supposed to be her ally. The person she could exchange exasperated looks with when Klaus was in his worse moods. But now… Every time she tried to do that, she couldn’t help but notice that he had already been staring at her for a whole other reason.
The friendly touches that had become normal for them, her hand on his shoulder as she wished him good luck to go deal with the witches… She had to restrain herself from being normal around him. She could see the pain in his eyes, how his fingers trembled.
And then there was Klaus.
The hardness in his look when he caught Elijah staring. The possessive grip he kept on her waist whenever his brother walked in the room… And to think she had once envied Elena. She didn’t want this, didn’t want to be the reason why they would fight.
But it was hard when just leaning into Klaus’s touch made Elijah look at her like she had slapped him. Made him pull away and stop talking to her and… And it was so frustrating because it just wasn’t fair!
She had come here for Klaus. She had stayed for him.
Klaus was… Difficult, at times, she had never denied that. But she had never offered Elijah any doubts about whether this was what she wanted.
Klaus was hers and she was his. And she hated that it hurt Elijah, she truly did… But this was the way it was always supposed to be. It was unfair to pretend otherwise. It was unfair of him to make her feel guilty for loving the man she loved.
It would go away, she knew. They had eternity, after all. And she was quite certain Elijah was more in love with the idea of her than actually in love with her.
A lot of people had done that in her life, after all. He wasn’t the first to create an image of her and then try to force her into it. It never lasted, this wouldn’t either.
Meanwhile, Klaus… Klaus knew her. Saw her. Loved her for it. For what she was rather than what he wanted her to be or thought she should be. He made her feel safe, he made her feel wanted. He made her feel like herself and like that was the very best thing in the world.
With Elijah, perhaps things would be easier, it was true. But he would never get it, not really. While with Klaus, everything else about him could be complicated, but somehow this was simple.
They understood each other better than anyone else ever had.
The balance between monster and human, light and darkness. Even when they didn’t agree, they understood.
She hoped Elijah found someone who did that for him one day, too.
Strange how the tables had turned.
For centuries, he had always envied Elijah. He had always seemed to… fit. He made friends more easily; he actually cared about the women he invited to his bed. Their siblings didn’t hate him, didn’t blame him.
There were no whispers about how much of an abomination he was following him everywhere.
And yet now… Well, now Elijah looked at him with that envy Klaus knew so well. Looked at Caroline.
His Caroline.
She wasn’t Tatia, Klaus knew. She would never play both brothers along; she would never respond to Elijah’s affections the way he wanted her to. But it still made his blood boil in his veins whenever he saw the looks Elijah threw in her direction.
The longing and the pain — it was beneath him, really. For all his brother claimed to be the dignified one, he seemed to have thrown pride out of the window in favor of sighing like the heroes of the romantic novels they used to mock.
All to make her feel guilty.
Klaus hated that more than anything. That Caroline now felt like she had to hesitate before touching or smiling at him whenever Elijah was in that room. That his brother saw what he was doing and refused to stop it.
Perhaps it was hypocritical of him to call out such selfishness, but he was certain Elijah could be accused of the same crime. All these talks of uniting their family only for him to betray him in the lowest of ways.
Klaus couldn’t quench the anger he felt. Couldn’t stop this fire burning in his chest.
She was his. She had always been his.
Ever since she was a small town girl dying from a werewolf wound. When his brother wouldn’t spare her a thought, he saw her. He wanted her. More than anyone, more than anything.
That fury made him drag her into the few unenchanted rooms in their house. Where he knew that her screams of his name would echo down the hallways. And he fucked her again and again until she was hoarse and Elijah was leaving the premises.
She was his.
Caroline was his. And she knew it now, accepted it. Wanted it. Elijah would have to learn to live with it.
Because he would never let her go.
