He notices immediately after he hears you squealing pretty loud. Is super curious about what you're doing so he tries to sneak close by and lean his head to look at what's on your screen. Imagine his surprise when he sees the fan made edits of him during dark blood. He tries to stay silent but he unintentionally giggles while looking at you. How could he not when you looked so adorable like that, gushing at the edits of him. Of course since it's Heeseung he uses this as an opportunity to be a little flirty with you. Will likely spend the rest of his time beside you just watching you with pure amusement rather than the videos of him. It's not everyday that he gets to see you go all hardcore fangirl, eyes wide and constant squeals. Ahhhh you are way more attractive in his eyes now.

"GOSH HEE, YOU LOOK SO GOOD IN THESE EDITS!!! UGHHH MY BOYFRIEND IS SO PRETTY AND HANDSOME AND HOT!!!" You squeal after seeing another edit of him and immediately pay attention to your phone.

"You're prettier, princess! So freaking cute as well when you're gushing about me like this." Kisses you on the cheek before going back to admiring you and your cute reactions.

He loves you and very much appreciates the fact that you are all over the place because of the edits on him but OMG JUST STOPPP. He was fine with it at the start but the more you kept gushing about him as if he wasn't there listening to you, the more embarrassed he got. It was endearing to be told how he looked like an actual vampire in those edits and he chuckled/laughed a lot at all the compliments you were throwing at him. But with every compliment comes a darker blush on his face, and by the time you squealed out wanting to be bitten his heart and mind could not take it anymore. Congrats, your boyfriend is officially the colour of a tomato.

"JAY YOU LOOK SO DAMN VAMPY!!! IF BITE ME IS THE TITLE SONG THEN DO AS IT SAYS AND BITE MEEEE!!!" Next thing you know Jay cradles your face with his hands and makes you face his very very red face, a shy expression on top of it as well.

"Sweetheart I love you, but please, enough with the compliments. I physically cannot handle it anymore. One more and my heartrate will start beating like crazy."

Once he hears any song from the album play on your phone you can bet that he is rushing over to see whatever it is you're watching. Now, no exaggeration, but he is a literal puppy about it. He is so excited and happy that you're watching the dark blood edits that engenes make + your fangirling over them (more specifically him). Is the absolute sweetest about this and super duper happy about your reactions. If the edit has an interesting part from dark blood he'll for sure tell you about the behind the scenes on it. Has the biggest smile ever omgggg and is just laughing in pure happiness at everything you say. Will definitely stay beside you the whole day to watch all the other dark blood edits that fans made. Guaranteed a very happy day for Jake, expect hugs and kisses in between each edit.

"JAKEY YOU ARE BLOWING ME AND ENGENES AWAY WITH HOW GORGEOUS YOU LOOK!! AND THE VOCAL PARTS THEY PUT IT, UNBELIEVABLY WOW!!" You lightly hit him many times with the pillows to show just how much he was affecting you. He grabs the pillow and tosses it before giving you a sweet kiss.

"Really?!! I'm so happy about that, baby! You won't believe how hard it was to film that scene." He pulls you into his arms and continues to play the video with a bright smile. "Let's watch some more of these edits, okay? I bet the other edits show us off really well too."

When he heard you yell out his name and march over to him with this intense look in your eyes he was already racking his brain as to what he did wrong. Then you start shaking him and telling him about all the dark blood edits you found. Now he is more than confused. He'll let you drag him to show the videos and now that he's seen it, he's shy about it. Loves all your comments about it but if you keep going with all the gushing then the cockiness in him slowly starts to rise until he is so lovingly unbearable. You and engenes said he looked good and now he can see it for himself, and he does look great. Will not be able to wipe off the smile from his face, confident or not, he is so soft when it comes to your praise.

"MY MAN IS PARK SUNGHOON WITH THE FLUFF HAIR AND THE FANGS THAT FIT THIS COMEBACK ERA!!! NO ONE CAN COMPARE!!!"

He giggles in delight at your words and turns to you, "no one can compare, huh? I guess you're right, especially if I look that amazing in those edits. You must be so glad to have a boyfriend like me." Cocky words and yet such a happy soft smile.

When he sees you rolling around on the bed so excitedly he straight away looks at you weirdly with hints of curiosity. He only questions what you're squealing about once you yell at him with a big grin. Now, once he understands that you saw those edits, his reactions are gonna be so on and off about it. One minute he's really cheerful about and warm seeing you fangirl over him, and then next thing you know he's giving you a side eye as if you're the weird one — even though your reactions are perfectly normal behaviour!!! He'll act all proud and semi-judge you but both of you know that he's screaming in happiness inside, his touches get softer and he's now radiating with happy energy.

"SUNOO IS MINE!! THIS GLORIOUS AND ATTRACTIVE ANTAGONIST LOOKING VAMPIRE IS MINE!!! THE BLACK CROWN WITH HIS EYES AND LOW VOCALS ARE AHHHHHH!!"

"Why are you like this? Your reactions are so cute but so weird. I mean.. I guess I do look good in these edits." He leans closer to you and continues to act on and off whilst watching your reactions. He won't deny the fact that your reactions are amusing to listen to, I mean, he didn't know that his photos were that good.

He was in the room when you started to squeal and straight up just watched you go all over the place with heavy breathing before he asked if you were okay. He is so concerned about your reactions until you tell him that it's because of the dark blood edits. Eases up real quick before he starts to laugh, dimples showing off. Feels pleased that all their hard work for the comeback worked out well. Very smiley once he knows that fans (including you) are enjoying dark blood. He's gonna watch some edits with you for sure and will point out the other members in the video and compliment them. Definitely relaxes and gets very cuddly, will spend hours just sitting there listening to you go on and on about the edits.

The minute he catches you watching an edit of him whilst giggling to yourself and kicking your feet on the bed, you are officially doomed. He is never gonna let you live that down and will tease you nonstop about it. This is one of the best things he's witnessed so far and it would be a waste to not tease you with it. Will always have this cheeky smirk on his face and is absolutely going to poke your sides while he lovingly laughs at your reactions. Don't get so annoyed at him though, this is just how he shows his love and appreciation towards the support you're giving. Let him have this, feed his ego a little cause the compliments make him feel shy and content inside.

A teasing grin is seen on his face when he sees you get all shy because of his questions, poking your sides and lightly pinching your cheeks to tease you even more.

♥️ Ranking Richonne

#13: I Love You (S8E14)

Ahhhh probably one of the most anticipated exchanges between Rick and Michonne, and of course, it was sensational. This scene powerfully reiterated that these soulmates truly mean the world to each other. And after seasons of communicating those special three words through every look, touch, kiss, and conversation, we finally got to hear Rick and Michonne directly say what's always been true - they love each other 🥰 Wholly, Deeply, and Forever...

This ily moment, adorably spoiled by our lovely captains 😋, is so tender and heartfelt while also being so natural and clear that these two have been verbally expressing I Love You’s for a while.

(Side note: I know there’s often debate on Rick’s hottest season lookswise, and really you could make a great case for any season, but lemme just place my vote here for season 8 right quick. 😊 Something about Season 8 Rick was extra fine. I feel bad cuz he was in pain all season, which I truly hate to see...but Rick was looking real right even while everything was going wrong ijs. even tho I think Rick Grimes' TOWL era is about to take the cake 🤭)

Something I so love about Rick and Michonne's relationship is that whenever they go through hardship they ultimately step closer rather than apart. They always eventually close the distance, which was evident in this lovely 'I love you' scene.

And I feel grateful that after experiencing such a devastating loss of their son, Carl, (why, TWD, why? 😭) and having to go on their journeys of grief, Rick and Michonne find their way back to each other truly in this moment. It doesn’t always go that way when a couple loses a kid as we’ve seen from other characters in this very series. But for Rick and Michonne, what they have is so unbreakable that, even in the hardest storm, their love still shines through, rises above, guides, and centers them.

So reflecting on Richonne's I Love You scene will forever have me like...

There’s also a beautiful and heart-rending honorable mention scene in this ep where Rick wipes Michonne's tears and Michonne opens up with Rick (and even makes reference to her son Andre 😭) while trying to help him heal at Hilltop instead of running out and about to get away from his grief.

But Rick still has a bit of savage Rick to get out of his system, so he and Morgan go hunt down some saviors first.

(Side note: while we're talking season 8, this 100th ep kiss in the season 8 premiere also deserves a big honorable mention because...🥵🔥🔥)

When Rick returns to Hilltop after wildin out with Morgan, he’s finally gained clarity on what he needs to start focusing on and who he needs to be healing with. Which leads to him saying those three very special words to the very special woman in his life. 🤗

So the scene starts with Rick returning to his room in a clean fresh tee, showing a clean fresh start to me. (Also Rick + a white tee has been a great combo since season 1, y'all) And he finally knows it’s time to let his wife and son guide him and read Carl's letter.

Michonne enters sorta hesitant I think because when Rick and Morgan returned they def looked like they had dabbled in the dark side out in those woods, and so she might be wondering what headspace Rick's in after whatever he just did.

But the thing about magnets is they always find their way back to each other and so Rick's not grown more distant but rather more aware of how he needs to navigate this season with her.

She finds him holding the letter, and Rick first says, "Thank you." Again, I love that Rick always thanks Michonne. Like as early as when they were strangers in s3, Rick has always vocally expressed gratitude for Michonne. And, in this moment, he knows how much Michonne has been his rock during this unbearable time as well as still fighting for their son Carl and his wishes, and so Rick thanks her for it. Her presence in his life is invaluable and he knows it.

Also, I adore the shared breath they both take when he says this. #TheyAreOne. And Michonne's so relieved that Rick has arrived at this point in his grieving journey.

Then Rick says he’s sorry which is also great cuz he knows going out and handling all this alone is not how magnets do. And Michonne is so understanding when she says, "You don't have to be."

It's just more proof that she is the exact kind of loving presence Rick needs in his life because she’s so good at both accountability and empathy. (Also in 4.09, Rick tells Carl sorry, and Carl also responds with, "You don't have to be." 😭)

And then Rick, knowing how blessed he is to have Michonne love him and stand with him through it all, turns to her and so tenderly says, "I love you." Beautiful x10. 🥹✨

I love how melodic it's said. 🥰 It’s this lovely quiet moment and Rick says it truly like it is a reassuring reminder of something he has expressed to her often and feels deeply.

I love that he turns to really look her in the eyes and has this little nod and subtlest smile when he says 'I love you.' And you just know he genuinely means this. It’s so great, and I could replay it 1000 times idc.

And Michonne really does complete the perfection when she so movingly says, "I love you too." 🥹✨

Again, you can feel how much she means this. The emotion on Rick's face, when he hears his wife say she loves him too shows that he also can feel how much they both mean this, especially as a small tear can be seen. They are everything to each other. 🥲

(Side note: One of the many reasons why I was so elated to hear Rick call Michonne his wife in that TOWL trailer (which I'm still there btw - haven't left since I first heard it 😋) is because we who love their love story of course already knew he views her as his wife (since 2016) and that he'd refer to her as that in the spinoff series, but by saying it in the trailer it showed that this isn't some big reveal they have to wait to say in the new show. Michonne has been his wife for the longest. Rick has viewed her as his wife for seasons. Their marriage is not a new TOWL development, it is an element of TWD. And scenes like this ily scene in season 8 make that crystal clear. (also I cannot wait to hear Rick call Michonne his "wife" even more and to hopefully hear Michonne call Rick her husband 😊)

I adore that we had so many moments of Rick and Michonne communicating 'I love you' to each other in different ways leading up to this point, and then this scene gifted us with the actual direct ILY exchange between them, and of course it was perfect and proof that...

I really feel confident this wasn't intended to be R&M's first time ever saying "I love you" directly either. In this scene, both of them seemed to communicate it in a way that said this is something they've said before and often. (like it feels like they don't show Michonne's facial expression upon hearing Rick say 'I love you' because this isn't a first. She's heard that man tell her this several times before 😋)

I like to think that why these season 8 'I love you's carry so much weight right here and now is because it might be the first time they've said it to each other post-losing Carl. 😭

How heartwarming is it to know that even in a sea of pain, Rick and Michonne still want each other to know that while their whole world has been changed, the one thing that hasn't changed is their love for each other. 🥹

Their love story is just heavenly. To go from staring at each other through a prison fence and thinking they’d patch her up and then she’d be gone to now declaring their love. Perfection. 🙌🏾

And ILY’s do not seem like a phrase either Rick or Michonne take lightly or would just say to anybody. For them to express this and fall in love with someone, the connection was going to have to be deep and special. And what they found with each other is the deepest love so of course they can tell each other these 3 words with ease.

And because Richonne is the gift that keeps on giving the scene doesn’t stop there. Michonne then approaches Rick and lovingly takes his face in her hands as they share a sweet kiss. 🥹

And only Richonne can make their movement after the kiss feel as passionate and intimate as the kiss itself. Cuz after finally connecting like they’ve been longing to do, Rick and Michonne stay in the moment, looking deep into each other's eyes before leaning their heads against each other with that blessed mirror giving us all the angles. 😍

I love that mirror, y'all. 😋 I'm deeming that mirror and the set designer who placed it there some Richonners cuz, baby, they knew what we needed to see...

The way Rick and Michonne touch each other is always electric, and I love that they seriously feel like one as she rests her hand on his heart and he gently moves his hand up her side. These actors are so gifted at not wasting a single moment or action because they communicate Richonne's love in every second of a scene.

(and when richonne inevitably does that signature forehead touch in TOWL, after years apart...y'all I just might ascend to the heavens right then and there 😇)

It’s also sweet the way Michonne looks at Rick before leaving for him to have this time alone to connect with his son and read the letter.

Having the scene end with Rick reading his son's letter in a whole mirror as opposed to the shattered mirror he saw himself in earlier in the ep, is lovely. And it speaks to the power of Richonne that Rick could arrive at this point, ready to slowly but surely start healing.

“I love you” really is communicated in every Richonne scene. And while season 8 was a weak one overall, one thing it did well was illustrate the stunning strength of Rick and Michonne’s exquisite and powerful love.

And I love knowing that, thanks to TOWL, we're sure to have some more Richonne "I Love You" moments in store. #GiftThatKeepsOnGivingAndGiving 😌

anon it is quite possible that i have too many thoughts. i need to have my last working braincell taken away from me so i can chill tf out

ok! so let's lay the scene. you're porsche, and you've watched your closest friend at your very intense job come back from being probably-kidnapped and probably-tortured, probably by a man who betrayed you and your boyfriend horribly and tried to kill you not more than two weeks ago, and your friend cannot talk about it at all, and your friend looks like he's been mauled and also like he'll never be happy again

you also kiiiiind-of-sort-of were a really bad friend back, because said friend walked into this situation to help you and then you forgot about him and oops you also told your boyfriend not to worry about him and now look, you've given PTSD to a perfectly good pete and he'll never be the same

so you, porsche, feel extremely guilty.

the interesting thing about all of this is that we know porsche is a compassionate person. he cares about his friends! it's clearly bothering him that pete is so down! he offers to go fight the people who hurt pete!

and then he puts pete right back into the hands of the lying, cheating man who probably tortured him.

you just... you can't explain this away. no matter how you look at it, it can't be beneficial to pete, given what porsche knows about the situation. arguably if he knew more, he would know even better how vitally important it is to keep pete away.

this is the first real hint we get that porsche is willing to make sacrifices out of the people around him to get what he wants. it's the biggest neon sign so far that the mafia is corrupting him.

but here's why i love it so much — it makes sense. it makes so much sense. porsche has finally understood that he is trapped in some sort of decades-old web woven by korn, and that he cannot trust anyone in the main family to help him figure it out. this is the murder of his parents we're talking about. this is the event that sent his life careening off its path and changed his and his brother's life forever. it is a HUGE deal. porsche deserves to know the truth, and he can tell that the window on that is closing.

is it stupid for him to go to vegas, after everything that happened in ep10? yes. but it's the least stupid option of all, because vegas is the one person who is never on the side of the main family.

so he calls vegas (somehow — don't think too hard about how porsche reached him) and he grits his teeth and he asks for help.

and vegas, mind you, is currently in a hell of his own making. these are quite literally the worst days of his entire life — not that porsche knows that. so of course vegas seizes on the opportunity to ask for the one thing he needs most, which is just to see pete. that's all.

do we think porsche said yes immediately? do we think he hesitated, even for a moment, to think about why vegas wanted to see pete, and what kind of damage that could do to pete? did porsche fear for pete's life at all, especially given that from what he knows of vegas, vegas could be trying to do anything from imprisoning pete again to outright killing him?

but do we think porsche maybe, possibly, connected the dots, though? that he heard vegas asking for pete and thought of pete refusing to talk about vegas and thought "they love each other and they're both hurting"? because that would be a decent reason.

i will be real with you, anon: i don't think he connected the dots. not before he actually sees vegas in person. and maybe there, in the alleyway, he clocks that vegas is emotionally compromised (the way vegas's voice cracks when he asks about pete??? JUST END ME AHHHH). but he still doesn't know anything for sure about pete's feelings. pete hasn't mentioned vegas by name even once.

i want to think he hesitates, when vegas asks over the phone. and then he decides to ignore his hesitation, despite vegas having the worst track record of all time, and tells himself that it'll be ok — that he'll just let vegas see pete once, just a short visit, and he'll stop vegas from doing anything too crazy, and pete will be ok. pete might even need it, he thinks. maybe pete will feel better afterwards.

i don't think he consciously makes the decision to prioritize his needs over pete. i think he's actively remaining in denial about how badly this could go! he's going to go through with it no matter what, and so why would he bother cataloguing all the consequences when they're just going to make him feel worse? instead, he'll make himself feel better by punching vegas, and then telling vegas that vegas better not hurt pete again, and then he'll feel absolved, just a little.

and again, to his credit, i think there's a very good chance he understands how much vegas cares for pete after the alleyway. and maybe that on its own makes it okay that he left vegas alone with pete UNSUPERVISED. but all of his actions up until that point? they're selfish.

pete walked through fire for porsche — and porsche looked pete in the eye, grabbed him by the shoulders, turned him around, and sent him straight back in.

Jungkook- at first I thought my fav moment would be his 1st scenting scene but after reminiscing on it for awhile I feel like my fav moment with him so far was the bench scene. I don’t know why, but theres something about her reassuring him that she has no favorites that just warms my heart ❤️ also when he thanked her for his b day celebration it was so SWEEET! (Ik thats two moments but i cant choose between then :,(

Taehyung- The moment when tae back hugs y/n at his first art exhibit while they look at the photo he took of her 🥹 that moment is tied with the moment y/n said she trusted him after he told her what happend while he was trying to escape.

Jimin- Gonna be honest it was hard for me to think of a specific moment between them, I could be wrong but I haven’t seen my mans in a while (besides little tiny moments) 😭. My fav moment has to be when y/n gave surprised him with visa 🥺 she literally shipped a HORSE for him omg 😱 he’s just a manly country man and any time y/n gets the hots for him (like when he was working on the roof of the barn 😉) is always fun lol. Also after his scenting scene (which obvi I love duh) when he talks abt his family and sis 🥺😔

Hobi- The moment when hobi whistles after jin and y/n enter the house after hobi called them when they were sitting in the trunk. He whistles and gets nervous that she gets annoyed by it but she calls it charming and says that its a great way she can find him when hes lost at the grocery store 🥺🥹 sorry i know im rambling but its so cuuute. His scenting scene is also super intense and one i really enjoyed 😉

Yoongi- The scene during his first basketball game where she ran into his arms!!! He was looking for HER and it is so heart warming to read over and over again. Anytime they tease each other in the kitchen as well!

Joon- Ok, I dont know why but the scene where y/n looses to joon in chess is just so funny to me! And when she throws the chess piece at him and he’s like “you wanna do that again? Hm”. Also when he gave her that opal (i think some stone) after she gave him his b day gifts to show his true appreciation 🥺🥹

Jin- When jin wants to go to the cooking class with HER. 🥹 Also anytime they’ve held each other in their arms while sleeping, like after jin talked about his past with her. This ones short bc honestly they have so many little moments together and so does yoongi and y/n so its hard to pic 🥺 also maybe when she gives him the lord of the rings book, my boy was in his feels 🥺🥹

The ships from the shadows that I will never disembark from ➰

This post is based off of a ship game here on Tumblr, but to make things a little bit more clear and interesting, I just decided to make a whole post about it and include the top 5 ships from the shadows (if you know, you know) that I absolutely love and adore!

I love a good romance in fantasy so even though not all of my favorite ships are included in the discussion, I made a little list for honorable mentions at the very end.

Also disclaimer, I do not have any unpopular opinion about my ships so if you're familiar with the game, I simply answered the first two questions, which is "What made me ship it?" and "What are my favorite things about my ship?"

Another thing before I begin, the five ships included here is not arranged in any particular order and for the ships that already have a live-action adaptation, I will be using photos from the TV show and for those who does not have an adaptation, I will be using fanart (and of course, give credits to the artist)

I may end up rambling (as per usual), but hey, it's part of the ride.

This is a lengthy post, so get comfy, grab a cup of coffee or tea and read on...

LET'S START WITH SHIP NUMBER 1:

Simon Lewis and Isabelle Lightwood 💜

Ahhhh! My most favorite ship in The Mortal Instruments series. Also, Alberto Rosende and Emeraude Toubia is my favorite adaptation of Simon and Isabelle. I just love them so much that the idea of them splitting up or one of them dying hurts my heart.

Anyway, before I get sidelined, let's get to the point...

What made me ship them?

Right off the bat, their chemistry from the beginning of the story is one of the many reasons why I ship them. The way that Simon was enchanted by Isabelle from the very beginning made me swoon. Their slow burn romance is to die for. I also love how their relationship is built on friendship.

Most of their interactions in the books (even in the show) were as friends and it was only in like the last couple of books (and episodes) did they become an official couple. They are the definition of strangers to friends to lovers (if there is such a trope?) and I adore that. They are also part of the hot girl dates nerd trope (again, is this a thing?) and I'm obsessed with it.

Another reason why I ship them is because they are always there for each other when needed. Like when Simon needs blood to drink, Isabelle aids him in getting a fresh supply. They've always got each other's backs and are both just really badass people.

What are my favorite things about them?

I have a lot of favorite things about Simon and Isabelle but some things that make the top list is of course, their undeniable chemistry. Their humor and comedic timing around each other makes me laugh. Their support for each other, the way they flirt and tease each other, they are meant to be in every universe (or dimension).

One notable favorite thing of mine is when Simon teaches Isabelle nerd and mundane culture and her confused reactions gets me giggling every time! Also, during Simon's time in Shadowhunter Academy, Isabelle went there and claimed Simon as her boyfriend and threatened everyone who even thinks about starting a relationship with him. That is one of my most favorite scenes from the books.

Their souls are meant for each other and there is no denying that.

ONTO SHIP NUMBER 2:

Thomas Lightwood and Alastair Carstairs 🧡

My current obsession and hyper-fixation! They are my world right now and I don't think I'll get over them anytime soon! By the angel, look at them! Aren't they too precious?? *swoons*

Anyway.....

What made me ship them?

Where do I even begin with this? Oh, I know, the beginning (obviously!). I shipped them from the beginning because the tension that constantly existed between them since their days at the Academy to their days in Paris together until the day that Thomas threatened to knock Alastair into the Thames (I mean there's reason behind that, I know) and forward. They are the definition of the childhood bully (Alastair to Thomas) to companions (in Paris) to enemies (-ish) to secret connections to lovers (I clearly have no idea what I just said here but I think you get the point).

I also shipped them because of the honesty and openness that exists between them. The rawness of emotion that flows between them when they're in their little bubble of privacy is just wow and I love reading about it! They are also opposites that are attracted to one another (Alastair being sort of chin-up type of guy and Thomas being the awkward sweetie that he is). The desire that exists in their hearts for each other is just flowing through the pages, which I adore.

I wasn't expecting to ship them when I first read the short stories and the first two books of TLH, but hey, I'm here now and it's all that matters.

What are my favorite things about them?

I have a lot of favorite things about them, but their banter is one of my most favorites. In canon or out of canon, they have good banter and dialogue. I can feel their emotions rushing with every turn of the page. I also love their height difference (I apparently have a thing for this!), with Thomas being 6'5 and Alastair being a munchkin at 5'10 is something I will never get over.

They also bring out the best in each other and they are protective (and possessive) over one another. They are also there for each other during times of need (like when Alastair comforted Thomas when Thomas found out that Christopher is gone), and it makes my heart mushy. Their comedic timing is also one of my favorite things (the fire message scene lives rent free in my mind).

They belong together in every universe and I will stand by that.

ONTO SHIP NUMBER 3:

Will Herondale and Tessa Gray 💙

Oh angel, these are two people meant to be together! Their love broke boundaries! What else can I say about these two amazing bookish angels? Also, this art is just one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen.

Let's move on before I babble, shall we?

What made me ship them?

I love a good slow burn romance and they are a couple that did just that. The passion is evident in the way they interact with each other, the way they look at each other, there was a spark from the moment Will (and Jem) saved Tessa from the clutches of the Dark Sisters that left me wanting more of them. Of course, with every romance, tension arose between them but it was nothing that they can't solve.

They are each other's safe space, they want to be together during times when they are apart. They have an invisible string that ties them together and I love that idea. Their love story is something that I will remember for eternity.

What are my favorite things about them?

I love that Tessa made Will a better person. I mean, he is still very much himself, Tessa just sort of improved him as a human being. I love that happy glow that they have when they are together, which clearly states that they are really happy and meant to be together. I also love that they have a shared love for books and stories, I really love characters who loves books and treasures them.

Their banter is unmatched and they are supportive of each other and are protective of each other. I can state a lot more but those are the top favorites!

They found love in the darkest of times and they are each other's light.

ONTO SHIP NUMBER 4:

Gideon Lightwood and Sophie Collins 💚

Now, they are a prince and lady's maid sort of story. Kind of reminds me of Cinderella but the meaning is much more special to me. Just the look on Gideon's face in the photo is the look of love and adoration for Sophie and it makes me swoon.

Let's proceed, shall we?

What made me ship them?

I like the way that they started from a master and apprentice relationship to friends to eventually lovers and that is just lovely to read. The forced proximity in a sense that in the beginning, Gideon did not want to like stay in London because he thought he would not have a good time but Sophie changed that because those training lessons were the ones that Gideon looked forward to the most. I just love that idea and reading it made me go "Awww!".

The way that they are open and honest with one another is just admirable because of course, they both went through tough times and they found safety and support in each other. I also adore Gideon's gentleness to Sophie during the training sessions (still can't believe Gideon swears in Spanish when he's having a good time, that fact still confuses me to this day) and them wanting to meet each other even outside the training sessions. If that is not the beginning of courtship, I don't know what is.

What are my favorite things about them?

Favorite things, you say? Hmm, let's start with the infamous scones story. I'll just say that I admire Gideon's determination and he will go through great lengths just to see Sophie, even though by the means of wasting a lot of scones and having a threat of a rat infestation. I love that entire scene and it still makes me giggle. Another thing that makes me giggle (and swoon) is Gideon's accidental declaration of his desire to get married to Sophie at the breakfast table and eventual proposal. Ahh, typical lovesick Lightwood boy.

I also love the way that they see beyond imperfection (mainly Gideon) and their caring and accepting personalities (my heart swooned extra at the epilogue of Chain of Thorns when Thomas declared that he would be living with Alastair and they accepted him wholeheartedly). They are also amazing parents so there's also that.

They are one of my most favorite parents in the entire Shadowhunters saga.

ONTO THE LAST AND CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, SHIP NUMBER 5:

Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood ❤️

Ahhhh Malec! How to describe them other than revolutionary? They are the first gay couple I ever shipped in my life and my life is made better because of it! Thank you to my parabatai @jamielivesforthememesandthe-blog for introducing me to them and I will forever be grateful. Also, the way Harry Shum Jr. and Matthew Daddario portrayed them on-screen is perfection!

Now, let's dive into this revolutionary relationship.

What made me ship them?

It all started with a spark that clearly flickered when they first saw each other. That single spark of flame is enough to send readers feral. Magnus was obviously enchanted by Alec and Alec, of course, was also kind of attracted (though he will not admit it yet). They also have this constant yearning and desire to be with each other and they worry for each other when they're apart.

They also protect one another and help each other out, especially on missions that can be deadly. I also love that they balance each other out, like Magnus is very flamboyant and outgoing while Alec is very shy and introverted, but Magnus helps Alec be more confident and Alec humbles Magnus a little bit. They complete each other and each other's soulmate.

What are my favorite things about them?

They are a revolutionary couple! They set an example for those who are like them and make sure that they have a safe space in the world (Matthew, Thomas and Alastair are cheering from heaven!!). Their chemistry is unmatched and their love knows no boundaries. They bring out the best in each other.

Mostly courtesy of Magnus, their banter always makes me giggle and laugh. Also my favorite thing is that they are able to mend up their relationship whenever they have a rift in it. They also think of each other when they're apart and after the events of TMI, I love how they eventually built their family (Max and Rafael are so lucky to have Magnus and Alec as their dads)

They are meant for each other and I'm happy for Magnus, because after so many failed relationships, he finally found his home with Alec.

There we have it, folks! My top 5 ships from the shadows that I will never disembark from. I had a lot of fun writing this and listing reasons why I love these couples. I may have sounded redundant in the entries, but that is simply because I can't formulate enough words to share with you all how much these ships mean to me. 😁

In case you missed it - Starmania 2022 - Acte 1

ACT 2

There are many little details and references in the 2022 version/staging of Starmania that I noticed over the many many time I was able to see it (some obvious, some not) so I thought I'd try to make a complete list and see if 1) you also spotted them or 2) you spotted other things!

This will be in 2 parts because it'll be too long for one post. I'll put a link to the other part once it's done! (TUMBLR DON'T YOU DARE EAT THIS AGAIN)

It'll also be interesting to have a record and be able to compare if anything maybe changes during the second season come November!

Ouverture

Obviously the empty white grand piano is a tribute to Michel Berger

In season 1, dancer Matys Kaibo was sitting at the piano at the beginning and pretending to play it; the sound actually came from the live pianist (in Paris) or the soundtrack (on tour).

Some of the male dancers who represent Monopolis inhabitants are wearing skirts

The person who runs across the stage is usually Jeanne Jerosme (the maid) unless she's playing Stella that day. Her maid costume is actually the same costume with a little white collar added.

Monopolis

If you're sitting smack in the middle, the shoulder/sleeve details + wig that Cristal is wearing make her silhouette look like a golden star (ok, you have to squint a bit lol)

The placement of the characters in the structure reflect their position in Monopolis society: Marie-Jeanne and Ziggy at the bottom, Stella and the Gourou higher (but with Stella going down), and Zéro at the very top. Cristal is moving through the levels, and Johnny and Sadia are absent (probably because they're supposed to be outcasts?)

Quand on arrive en ville

The first of Johnny's victims spits out "blood" (but I think it's water) onto the stage when she gets hit; the second one has a blood stain around the collar.

Some of the Etoiles Noires are smoking electronic cigarettes, you can see a red "cherry" as well as smoke

Not really a staging detail, more of a goof, but I will never not laugh at the Etoiles Noire dragging in the 2nd victim while also carrying a cinder block under his arm, but when Johnny grabs the block it becomes the Heaviest Object on Earth. Poor little Johnny skipped arms day!

Johnny's jacket has a long rectangular outside pocket on the left breast which he can use to tuck his mic into; his t-shirt has a little bit of chain hanging at the front like a necklace, except it's sewn into the neckline. (He's got the same thing in his final black costume).

Petite musique terrienne/Johnny & Sadia/La complainte

The sound effect/lighting after "Quand on arrive" evoke an elevator going down into the underground parts of the city

The Undeground Café has an Etoiles Noires aesthetic moodboard/collage, featuring punk and anti-nuclear imagery, a picture of Zero Janvier with his eyes scratched out and a target around his head, and the current casts' "good luck" motto: "Ahhhh merde!"

Whoever isn't playing Zero Janvier that day (David or Aurel) sits at the Café's piano (an upright one, not the grand piano from the beginning) and pretends to play throughout most of that scene

Stella is sitting at a table (incognito, she's wearing a big black coat and sunglasses and sometimes a scarf on her head) drinking ("Moi ma drogue c'est l'alcool"); she makes a discreet exist once the Etoiles Noires show up.

Sadia is having a blue drink at the bar

When the Etoiles Noires show up, Johnny jumps up to sit on the bar next to Sadia and usually interacts with Marie-Jeanne (at least when it's Côme) either by grabbing a bottle out of her hand and drinking from it/dumping it on his head, or by touching MJ in some way (on the face; I saw him kiss her hand once), cementing the fact that they know each other quite well.

Sadia kicks a glass with her foot during her initial pitch to Johnny; the glass is almost always picked up by a helpful Etoile Noire rather than by Marie-Jeanne :p

Johnny stops the Etoiles Noires from going after Sadia when she starts addressing him, miming things like "Let it go, she's crazy." When she says "Si tu me suis tu seras quelqu'un" though, you can see him physically start paying attention.

At the end of their duet moment, Sadia runs a hand down his arm/front, suggesting that she's trying to seduce him and not just ideologically.

Travesti

Obviously, the double-wig reveal of the "chevelure d'un bleu azur" under the initial black wig with a blue streak

A bunch of extra Etoiles Noires show up for the "line-up" moment (the singers like Jeanne for example) and then disappear again to leave the floor clear for dancers and their acrobatics

During the line-up moment, the Etoile Noire who's propping up Sadia's leg also runs his hand up her thing (she bats it away occasionally). Meanwhile Johnny is cocking his huge, hard machine gun at hip level in a very subtle way, and then he leans in towards her and nuzzles her neck/ear.

Btw only Côme wears the long black mafioso coat that hides his gun at the beginning; as far as I know William always wears the "Quand on arrive en ville" jacket for some reason.

Sadia used to wear flesh-colored shorts under the blue underwear; then this changed to a pair of thick opaque tights, at least when Ambriel is playing her, so you don't see her thigh tattoos as much. (I think Miriam wears them sometimes but not always.)

The Jaguar is a REAL car which REALLY DRIVES onto the stage, but with a very small modified electric engine which obviously cannot go very fast lol

Sadia's gun is blue too, that girl does like matching her accessories

Johnny always smells the white fur coat before putting it on (to the point that it had a pretty visible foundation stain on the lapels) -- generally speaking the Etoiles Noires smell people a lot lol

An Etoile Noire graffities the words "Stone" and some stars on the car every night during the number

Another Etoile Noire is seen "grinding" the car with an electric tool in the background to show that they're gutting it (for the next numbers where the roof has gone) but it's actually just a button that makes sparks. She then dumps the tool into the back of the car -- there's no rear windshield

Il se passe quelque chose à Monopolis

Obviously the "going up the stairs" metaphor symbolizes Zéro Janvier trying to rise to the top

On the sentence "et ses buildings de verre qui filtrent la lumière" the backlighting of the stairs gets this really cool filtering effect, always one of my fave moments

Thomas Jolly mentioned in a podcast that he'd moved this song after Travesti and given it to Zéro to make the link more obvious between Sadia's violence with the Etoiles Noires and Zéro's quest for power. The song does take on a very sinister vibe when he's singing it!

Mass médias

The lyrics were changed from "ma cravate rouge ou ma cravate bleue" to "ma veste noire ou ma veste bleue" because this Zéro does not wear a tie, red or otherwise

The newspaper that Zéro is reading has Stella on the front page as well a few easter eggs, like picture of Berger and Plamondon, an ad for Naziland and an ad for a florist on the back (as well as the weather for France lol)

On the inside I think you can make out more pics of Berger and Plamondon, and I *think* a picture of the show by Dorfmann and the silhouette of the Seine Musicale??

Starmania Starmania

This is obvious but it took me embarrassingly long to realize because you can't see them depending on where you're seated, and they're sometimes fully in the dark -- there are 3 "backup singers" at the back of the stage on the left, doing vocals and a little choreography!

Cristal doesn't have her mic with her up in the air as she comes down from the rafters, a dancer brings it to her while two others unfasten her (she's suspended at the hips by a harness worn under the dress)

The light periodically draws black stars behind her, which engulf the entire stage at the end

L'interview de Zéro Janvier/Le blues du businessman/Jingle de Cristal

Pretty straightforward staging-wise. The Blues was going to be Zéro standing on top of the tower at some point, and then they realized it was too static and came up with the lighting thing.

Un garçon pas comme les autres

The little stage that Marie-Jeanne sits on is being pushed by a crouching tech, who then sits behind it during the whole song. If you're sitting at a certain angle you can see them, which I always find weirdly moving.

Ziggy is apparently waiting inside the stairs during the song; that must be where the elevator is, that pushes him to the top in time to start his "oops, didn't mean to overhear that" exit attempt. (As far as I know, it's the first time in the various productions that we know Ziggy has heard the song, which does interesting things to the Ziggy/MJ dynamic!)

Le coup de téléphone/Enfant de la pollution/Coup de téléphone 2

When Johnny and Sadia show up at the top of the stairs, Johnny is wearing the fur coat from Travesti (but that wasn't always the case!)

The Etoiles Noires often bother Marie-Jeanne behind her bar. Ziggy doesn't seem too intimidated -- I've seen him snap Etoile Noire!William's mask onto his eyes for example.

The phone that Sadia uses used to be black, now it's silver.

The Etoile Noire who operates the phone (Max Carpentier usually) stashes his weapon in a little pocket hung in the alcove of the Underground Café, where he brings the phone case back before becoming a Threatening Etoile Noire(TM) again for the interview

Of course, France Gall's voice is the one answering the phone ("Pour un scoop c'est un scoop...") we all know that now!

Interview de Johnny Rockfort/Banlieue Nord/Coup de foudre

When Cristal shows up at the Underground Café, she gets harrassed a bit by the Etoiles Noires obviously; a lot of it involves smelling her hair for some reason lol

If you're there on a Saturday afternoon (William and Gabrielle as Johnny and Cristal), you can sometimes spot Etoiles Noires!Côme and Lilya flirting in the background of that scene :p

Johnny does not have his own mic for this scene; he shares Cristal's at the beginning (apparently stemming from an incident during rehearsals in which someone dropped their mic, and they had to make do with one between two people) and then grabs hers to sing Banlieue Nord (she doesn't have one again until Coup de Foudre)

Obviously the live/recorded thing: the recording is live until Johnny and Cristal leave the stage, at which point it switches to pre-recorded footage with live sound from the wings. As far as I know, this is the only pre-recorded footage/live audio moment; other pre-recorded video moments all also have pre-recorded audio.

The footage was recorded in the bowels of the Nice venue they used for rehearsals. There are 4 alternates to cover every permutation of the two characters, with some small variations, for example in the Gabrielle/Côme version I think Gabrielle doesn't fall down at the end the way Lilya does (and according to my notes, Côme's jumpsuit has a big sweat stain down the back lol)

Thomas Jolly makes a cameo as an Etoile Noire in each of the versions I've seen (Côme/Lilya, Côme/Gabrielle and William/Gabrielle) just at the end of the tunnels part. In the Côme/Gabrielle version, Côme pats him on the stomach as they pass him.

Once Cristal has stepped up onto the car and it's rotated, the dancers create a "diversion" a the front of the stage while she gets changed standing on the car hood. She gives Johnny her mic to ditch into the backseat of the car so she can get dressed. Her boiler suit unzips at the ankles so she can step into it while wearing her heels (although it doesn't always work, I've seen it go wrong at least twice lol).

“Shmiel and I.”

What an exchange. Just the fact that it’s even remotely possible that Tony and Ziva could be going out together is amazing to see on screen. The back and forth, cat and mouse, miscommunication out the wazoo and now, we’ve reached a point where Tony thinks Ziva could be asking him out and it’s actually a realistic possibility. Ziva’s gentle voice saying it is her and Shmiel tells Tony he has nothing to worry about.

The look on Tony’s face when he finally meets Shmiel! The “I’m going to kill you I can’t believe you played me” look! Love it.

The look on Ziva’s face fully acknowledging what she did and how proud she is! Double love it.

And ahhhh the way Tony and Ziva pretty much just grin at each other for the whole scene after that? The way their eyes dance? What a fantastic scene. Only these two could flirt without saying a word and with someone else in the bullpen talking to both of them. Those looks create an intimate moment that almost makes you feel like you should leave the room and let those two be, but you don’t want to look away because you also want to know what is going to happen next. You can tell there was a conversation being had as Shmiel was talking to them. I was grinning like an idiot at the TV during the whole thing. And, the look Ziva gives Tony when he makes a crack about his dad? That’s total girlfriend keeping the boyfriend in check vibes.

On an unrelated note, Michael’s impersonation of Robert Wagner is dead on! So impressive. And, of course Shmiel somehow knows Senior. I wonder if Shmiel and Senior ever talked about the kids in their lives.

Maybe best of all, I love how Ziva grabs her stuff and makes sure Tony goes out with them. The way she loops her arm through his and walks him out as if they were a couple…oof so many feelings. Like I said before, I think she fully intended to tell Tony about Shmiel, and honestly I think she set it up for them to meet at the office too. What other reason did she have for Shmiel to meet her there? They could have just met at the restaurant!

Just like the opening of the episode was Tony wondering about telling each other “all kinds of personal stuff,” I think this last scene is Ziva following through on that. Finally, finally they are both making steps toward each other, and it’s amazing to watch!

OMG! Howly cow! I am speechless!😳 Due to different time zones, the alert has been on my email for more than 12 hours. Hours in which I debated if reading throughout the day in small parts was a good idea or if waiting until I could read it properly was better. Luckily, I chose the second option. Bestie, what a chapter! I'm warning you I am becoming a greedy monster for this story! (I do not mean to be pushy. It's just my excitement speaking🤣.)

What a chapter! First, you made me cry, and then… Time enough for what? What's going on? What or who Bambi is protecting? Have I told you this story is good? With each chapter, it gets better! Will this thing be in the present time?😱

Of all the things that can happen during the patrol, that Joel is the only one making Bambi nervous is a bit funny. I understand why, but it's still fun. He hasn't given her any reason to doubt him, but I think that until she lets herself trust him completely she'll be conflicted. The revealing of her scar, I think, will be a heavy emotional moment between them.

For a second, before the men appeared, it looked like a weird first date with some shooting practice. LOL. And then we got some FeralJoel! The whole scene was brutal. I'm happy she didn't kill him at the end. It wouldn't have felt right. I might be rambling, but despite all, she's still good, and she should be able to keep her humanity.

(“Not here to help you,” Joel said, his voice almost eerily calm, so calm it sent a chill down your spine. “I’m here to get information and there’s only one way I know how to do it. You’re gonna want me to give you back to her by the time I’m done. So let’s begin.”) I'm not one to put bits of the chapter in my comments, but that one was something else.

I wonder if Joel knows any of those raiders.🤔 If he does, I hope he tells Bambi about his past before that comes up. If not, it could cause serious trouble between them.

And the kiss at the end felt so right!😍 It felt so natural to happen there. I loved it! The whole moment was so meaningful. I loved how, despite seeing Joel's worst side, she still feels safe with him. It shows the trust Bambi has in him, and if that is not a big sign, I don't know what is.

Thanks for the update! Sorry for the ramble! ♥️♥️♥️

By the way, I found ''Homecoming'' and ''Long distance'' today. Those two-shots are a treasure. I was grinning the whole time I was reading. I love the forbiden thing of DBF, you aced it! I wouldn't mind at all to read more about them.

Please be as greedy as you want with this story, I love sharing it so so much and it brings me so much joy when people love to read it.

When it comes to the opening of the chapter, let's just say I don't drop plot hooks without a reason. I promise, answers are coming (...eventually 😌)

Bambi is so interesting to me when it comes to intimacy! She's so gun shy of it now, especially physical intimacy. She'd kind of rather deal with infected than the warring feelings she's having, I think. Infected she feels more a sense of control over the situation, she knows how to get out of it and how to handle it. Not so with Joel! All her tools for this situation are from a very different time in her life. She can't just walk up to him like she did Justin in chapter one and say "Come see what else I'm good at riding on" and she's not quite sure what to do instead. She's so out of her depth!!

And it did kind of feel date-y right?? They were having their lil apocalypse picnic lol! But Joel got to be the protector and helped keep her safe and let her hold onto her humanity a little while longer, too.

I will say with Joel's raider history, that was a long time ago and a long ways off. HOWEVER... he still did some terrible, horrible things and worked with some terrible, horrible people. And while he may not have been the worst of them, there were things that those other men did that he just stood by and allowed. If Bambi had been taken in, say, Tennessee or something in 2004, Joel wouldn't have done a thing to stop it. He's grown and changed a lot since then, he's going to have some feelings about himself with that.

Yes, Bambi does, on a conscious level, really trust Joel more than anyone else (except maybe Ellie but that's more of a different kind of trust and relationship than anything else.) But her trauma addled brain has a hard time fully embracing that trust. It's a little like your friend getting a dog just after you were mauled by a dog. It's probably sweet and very kind to you and would never hurt a fly but... you're probably not going to want it licking your face right away. But she's DEFINITELY getting there!!

And yayayayayayayaya! Homecoming and Long Distance! Those are fun ones. You can expect the occasional one shot of that couple from time to time. I just don't have a full arc for them, they just fit a fun prompt or ask now and then!

I hate that I have to use the anon feature because I literally want to talk with you about arondir and bronwyn all day but like… can we just admire the way Arondir supports Bronwyn when he walks her out of the tavern during the celebration after the battle??? 😭😭 holding her hand, walking slowly with her… just ✨chefs kiss✨

Also… they came out of there no longer covered in blood and she has a bandage… and it looks like everyone else has since left the tavern… so like… they had some privacy and I know damn well they cleaned each other up 😭 just imagine him being SO GENTLE with her as he helps clean the blood and wrap her wound. My thoughts on Dr. Stone’s Chapter 232.1 (“Dr.STONE Terraforming”)

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE BIGGEST MYSTERY OF THE SERIES!

My thoughts after reading Chapter 232.1:

01. Ah, Chapter 232.1! :) From the colored chapter art of Senku, Chrome, and Ryusui, you can tell that this was released in honor of the Dr. Stone: Ryusui TV special :D

02. This is an interesting way to start things off. Instead of being isolated on land, like he was in the very beginning of his stone world journey, he’s now isolated in water :O

03. Of course Senku wouldn’t give up! :) He’s started from scratch before, and he can do it again! :D

04. I never thought of oil being useful in this kind of situation, but it makes sense! And Mecha Senku’s here! :)

05. He has SO much stuff XD Maybe he has new bags that are airtight and they helped him float?

06. A reference to Senku and Byakuya’s clothed swimming training! :)

07. He found Kohaku!! :D It looks like there’s a worried sparkle in his eyes while he’s looking at her :)

08. Whyyyy would anybody want, like, two whole teams of people (science team and battle team) along on their honeymoon? XD Why, Taiju, why??? XD

09. Kinro, Ginro, Taiju, Yuzuriha, Sai, Senku, Gen, Chelsea, Francois... and Whyman and Chrome! :) Aww, Whyman’s still adorable! :)

10. And then... oof! Some bad lightning (not to be confused with baaad lightning XD) hit their plane :(

11. We actually see Whyman worried XD Like, Whyman, out of his capsule, is a lone Medusa, but somehow, with just some lines, Boichi still managed to convey its distress - great job! :D

12. I find it interesting that while Chrome, Ginro, and Gen look worried... Taiju and Yuzuriha don’t. Taiju’s facial expression is more... speculating, and Yuzuriha’s eyebrows make her look determined, not scared. And this is just my take on it, but maybe being the ones who have known Senku the longest, they know that Senku can get them out of the situation, so while what’s happening IS alarming, both of them aren’t showing/feeling fear :)

13. I’m glad Taiju was able to catch Whyman! :) Ryusui totally looks on the bright side of life XD Poor Sai, having such an adventurous younger brother! XD

14. Kohaku told everybody to assume protective positions, just like how Ruri told everybody to assume defensive positions during the second worldwide petrification! :)

15. Senku got bonked on the head by his own revival fluid bottle XD Good thing he still keeps them in those earthenware bottles! :O If that thing had been in a sturdier container, they’d all be petrified for another 3,700 years! :O

16. ...And then he got bonked in the head AGAIN, this time by something decidedly LESS friendly :O Hit in the head by a palm tree... poor Senku... :O

17. Dr. Xeno’s so confident in Senku! :D He knows what Senku’s capable of, after all! :)

18. Senku revived Kohaku, and she looks at him with shining eyes (well, eye) and immediately wraps her arms around him in a hug! :’) Looks like the sudden action startled Senku, from the way his eye looks :D

19. But after that... look at him XD He’s not even trying to get away or anything. He and Kohaku are just looking each other in such a mischievous way, like, this is so normal for both of them or something XD

20. He complimented her, and their dialogue... ahhhh, a callback to when they first met and he talking was talking about how she was acting during an emergency!! XD The way they’re talking, it’s so... like... casual. Like it’s so normal for them to hug and flirt like this, and I LOVE it! :D

21. And Kohaku knows why Senku revived her... he wanted her to be his partner... okay, in this situation. But c’mon, acting like this and talking like this in this kind of situation without any awkwardness whatsoever? It feels like they’re already together but just not explicitly mentioning their relationship in this scene :D

22. The way she looks when she’s hugging him and talking... when she said that part about being his partner; there’s such a soft look in her eye :) And Senku has this blend of ACTING indifferent, but saying all the right things anyway :D

23. Such a sweet moment between them, and then Kohaku even goes on to say that that’s very... AND THEN SHE ABANDONS HIM FOR A PALM TREE :’( It may even be the same one that bonked Senku. Arrrgghhh, they’re both too practical...! :’( I mean, look at that, just two panels later and she’s so focused on getting the palm and he’s just like, sort of knocked out or something in the background XD

24. I like to think that Senku was really enjoying the hug and the sweet things Kohaku was saying, and was totally waiting for her to continue saying sweet things when that she spotted that palm tree :D :’) Would explain his wide-eyed / knocked out expression as she was swimming away, hahaha! XD

25. Aww, look at Kohaku, holding Senku’s axe as she swims and talks/thinks confidently about bringing back scientific civilization! :) And both of their mouths are wide open when Kohaku shows him the fish she caught - him from absolute shock, and her from I’m guessing eagerness to eat :D

26. From just the two of them floating in the water, they got a palm tree; food; more wood to build a raft, and a pile of something soft to serve as a mini-shelter... and from the looks of it, they spent two nights together, just the two of them, out there on the open sea :)

27. Chrome and Suika are here; a callback to how they were the next two Ishigami Village members to join the kingdom of science after Kohaku! And maybe they sat close to each other on the plane because they’ve worked closely for so many years and are great friends! (Although I thought earlier that maybe Kohaku and Suika sat together since they love each other a lot and they both weren’t in the wide panel with the others.) And she and Kohaku are so happy to be reunited! :)

28. The incredibly strong expressions on Chrome and Suika’s faces as they prepare the fish... XD A callback to when they made food (ramen) way way back, too! :) And also a callback to how they need alcohol now for something important, just like they did back then! :)

29. Ahhh, the original four (well, from the village arc, anyway XD), working together... :)

30. Kohaku learning from Suika, the science expert! :) A callback to the different methods for making nitric acid... and, the importance of Chrome’s observation of the lightning now is just like the importance of his observation of the Medusa’s constant speed way back on Treasure Island! :D

31. I had never heard of this St. Elmo’s fire thingy before I read this chapter! :O It looks like this fire likes Senku’s spiky hair XD And electric Senku here is a callback to electric Senku from the cell phone arc! :D

32. Ahhhh, Senku and Kohaku are holding hands!! :) I know it’s for a practical purpose, but it makes me happy and I’m sure it made them happy, too :D

32. Senku’s sort of struggling with holding his breath underwater, but Kohaku’s just fine hahaha XD

33. The four of them working on... whatever this is is JUST like when the four of them worked on pumping oxygen into the furnace back then after they had gathered all the iron sand! :D Poor Senku’s eyes are shooting out lasers again, just like before! XD

34. Time for reviving lots of folks! :) This is just like on Treasure Island, when they had to revived people in a certain order, depending on their capabilities! :) Although I do know that this time, the order might have been limited to who happened to be nearby... but I’m sure some strategic thought went into this order as well :D

35. Ukyo’s hearing; Tsukasa’s food-gathering; Chelsea’s cartography; Sai’s mathematics; Ryusui’s captain abilities; Gen for hard labor (hahaha! Poor Gen! XD); and then we see Taiju with Whyman, Ginro with the treasure chest (just like how there was a treasure chest on Treasure Island! :D); Kinro’s here as well... and Yuzuriha! :) Wow, look at that incredibly strong sail-sewing facial expression of hers! XD

36. The Ainu people (whoever they may be) made clothing from fish skin? :O Wow! And now Senku and the others are using this knowledge - especially Yuzuriha! :D

37. And that two-part boat shape... it’s like the the boat design that Magma made Namari draw for him during the boat design competition in/before the age of exploration arc! :D

38. Dr. Xeno still believed in their being alive, and his faith was rewarded! :) Everybody else is shocked at what Senku and the others made, but he’s not! :D He’s proud of Senku! :)

39. WOW that thing is GIGANTIC! :O XD Ryusui’s in his own hot-air balloon because he’s can probably control it the best, and Senku, Kohaku, Chrome, and Suika are at the head of their terraformed ship! :D

40. Their opening the treasure box to find so-called “gravel;” Ginro’s reaction; and Kohaku talking about how simple stones can be scientific treasures... it’s just like in the Treasure Island arc when Kohaku drilled and exploded the Soyuz open; was aghast that there was just sand inside; and then remembered how Senku turns simple things in the stone world into useful things through the power of science! :D Now SHE’S the one who’s explaining that to somebody else... and not just anybody else, but Ginro the person she was petrified with on Treasure Island! :O :)

41. I like Kohaki and Dr. Xeno’s exchange about taking things from Earth and how they weren’t limited to just Earth! :D

42. They want to TERRAFORM OTHER PLANETS?! They want to make cities in space?! :O

43. I love how Ryusui got to say something in the last two pages, as if to remind us who this extra chapter is in honor of XD

44. Oooh, we saw the globe, and now Chrome and Suika have scrolls... it’s just like when after Tsukasa was revived, Senku had scrolls for their spaceship roadmap that Kaseki and Yuzuriha built a globe for! :D

45. And, of course, the last panel is of Senku telling us to get excited! :D

46. The chapter is now over, and, ohhh, what a wonderful chapter!! :) So full of Senku and Kohaku sweetness; callbacks to SO many things that happened in the past; and lots and lots of science! :D I didn’t know that the word “terraform” could be used in this context, since they weren’t working with land/soil, but this is another thing that Dr. Stone has taught me! :)

47. I’ll be honest, both Chapter 231 and Chapter 232.1 (this chapter) feel more like solid, satisfying last chapters for Dr. Stone than Chapter 232, the ACTUAL last chapter for Dr. Stone XD

48. While Chapter 231 was full of awe and wonder, Chapter 232.1 was full of warmth and light :) I am so happy and grateful that they made and released this chapter!! :D

49. I hope there will be more bonus chapters to come... which, like I said in my post about Chapter 232, I think is possible, for Dr. Stone anniversaries and things like anime season, movie, and game and other promotions :)

50. But even if this is the only bonus chapter we get, it’s a very sweet, warm, and wonderful way to conclude the manga! :D

51. And now, I’m waiting for the Dr. Stone: Ryusui TV special to be released with English subtitles tonight! :) (Hopefully it’ll be tonight, and not tomorrow!) It’s going to be exhilarating... am I wrong? :D Advanced congratulations on your television debut, Ryusui! :D

MAG 40 - cutting apples

Ok so right off the bat I have to say, I think it's a rather weird choice to have this scenes be on the same day as the attack itself. I can't under no circumstances imagine that they were not kept at the hospital. Were they even at a hospital? Elias says "about an hour after they'd taken you and Tim away". Why on earth would Tim come back to work, Jon I get, but Tim? Also, quarantine only for like a few hours? Allowing people back into the building when the worms aren't cleared out (why is that not under quarantine???) Kind of broke the immersion a bit for me there.

Second, wow, I read so many not getting what happened to Sasha in MAG 39, am I like the super minority of a few who knew exactly what happened in that moment? Like I said, we got instructions to check up on the table again, twice! Sasha then finds that table! She sees someone! She screams! And then suddenly her voice is all wonky with that echo-effect. I texted my sister when I finished S1 and went "So, Sasha got replaced" and she was like "Oh, did you listen to the credits?" and I was "Only a bit (didn't get to the Not!Sasha part of the credits), but it was obvious what happened?" My sister also didn't get it and had the revelation together with Jon in MAG 76^^

Okay, that out of the way, lets get to it!

ELIAS "I do apologise that it took me quite so long to figure out how to actually work the system. If I’d been quicker…" - Yeah sure…

JON "Tens of thousands of… things without mouths screaming as one." ELIAS "Yes. Horrible sound… Anyway!" - insert Jeremy Clarkson's Oh no! Anyway!-meme here

ELIAS "On the 15th of March last year" - March. May. Those months sound so similar! XD

Tim sounds sooo tired and done…

TIM "I spotted the tape recorder lying on the ground, and went over to, er, see if it was damaged" - haha, that "er" XD

TIM "I have a theory, actually. I think they weren’t ready to attack when you found the tunnels. It’s like, something in the Institute slows them down, and makes them, um, heh, sluggish." - Good job! The Corruption doesn't like the Eye, doesn't like to be seen. Could be used to cure the infection. Also, yes, we know they weren't ready. That's why the Web had to help^^

TIM "And that noise they make? That squirming sound? They don’t make it when they’re in the tunnels." - Already our first clue that whatever rules the Institute has no power over the tunnels.

TIM "They were sort of… wrapping around each other, like they were trying to form a… thing, like a structure or something. A ring. / …it looked like they were trying to make a doorway." - A… WORMHOLE! Badum Tss Our first ritual! First time around I found this sooo interesting and I was kinda bummed out that it was only mentioned once when Jon went exploring. After becoming aware of the rituals it finally clicked sometime later when I remembered Worm Stargate.

Not!Sasha sounds soooo wooden! Those brief answers. Assumptions when reciting events that still happened to the real Sasha. How she repeats what Jon says. I immediately was "Oh nooo… That's gonna be dangerous."

Static during Sasha's statement btw?

JON "Well, it’s thanks to you, to be honest. If you hadn’t met that ‘Michael’ thing…" - So here's what I totally got wrong about that episode. When I listened the first time I mixed up the "thanks to" and interpreted that sentence as "thanks to Michael", like Michael helped them directly in the Prentiss attack? Of course, it's meant because of the CO2 as weakness which they only discovered because Sasha went with Michael to find Timothy Hodge.

On second thought, the way Not!Sasha speaks is actually hilarious. Reminds me of the "Talking to you like a normal human being".

NOT!SASHA "He was looking at me strangely, but we were both quiet." - Not!Sasha actually a bit compelled here? Why would she tell Jon this?

JON "Are you feeling alright? You seem a bit out of it." - Ahhhh, deep down he Knows…

YES, finally Martin/Jon interaction again. I think, here during the S1 finale I started to ship them. Their energy was just soooo obvious! A friend of mine started listening not long ago and his first question to me, after he was done with S1 was: "So…. Are Martin and Jon a thing? (Because if yes, I'm on board!)"

MARTIN "Sorry." - Hnnnggg, I wanna hug him!

JON "Ah, it’s fine. I just…" - He's so tired and in pain but he's still soft…

MARTIN "No, I mean… I'm sorry I left you." - crying and tightly squeezing Martin

JON "Oh, Martin" - I'm dying here…

JON "I know." - Hnnggg, the way he says that… / "It’s fine, Martin. Everybody’s… [sigh] Everyone’s fine…" - dying even more

MARTIN "I think it must be the old Millbank Prison, like Tim was saying before." - Ok, back to business. First time name drop Millbank Prison!

MARTIN "I hadn’t seen any worms for a few minutes, and weirdly enough that actually started to worry me, like, if there weren’t any worms then I’d gone too far from the Institute. And there was more dust in those corridors too, and dead rats, even some discarded wine bottles. At one point there was an empty packet of mint imperials" - So Martin stumbled into Leitner's territory? Leitner apparently was far enough into the tunnels that he never encountered any worms. This was touched on again in MAG 152.

MARTIN "She was shot! Three times, that I could see. Three shots to the chest." - RIP Alex. His biggest mistake.

JON "I know that now, some deeper mystery. I think Gertrude Robinson found it, and I think that is why they killed her." - He's not wrong?

hobi- just remembered this, when y/n, Ben, Alice, and Laura text about how hot the hybrids are I thin mainly hobi omg they cracked me up sm. The im married not blind part was so funny 😂

jimin- i don’t remember much from the chapter in September I don’t think we saw much of him but in this recent chapter OMG he was such a sweet pea!!! Y/n really went all out getting his HORSE shipped here. And jimin saying happy b day to join was so sweet cause every one’s warming up to joon after the fight a bit and I think everyone is warming up in general. Anyways y/nie goes above and beyond for her boys and ahhhh so sweet. He was so happy too you could tell he wanted to cry gosh. I love when jimin can’t handle his alcohol well I can just imagine his red cheeks eeek I hope we get to travel and see his family too. He’s defiantly been working hard on the barn, and when she mention he was shirtless at some point 🥵 I cant- im sorry I’m on my period that my horrible excuse anyways -

taehyung- him wanting to take photography and him taking pics of HER STOP ✋ no author u need to stop it’s too much like omg and when they held each other afterward I melted like I TURNED into a puddle of the floor and I’m only able to write this now bc it’s so cold here that I froze and turned back into my human form. She’s possessive and irl tae is too cause like do u remember the perila leaf débat he would get so jelly if his gf peeled off a leaf for a guy friend. The dinner scene where the waiter was making eyes an y/n and tae held her waist and GLARED that’s some dominance right there. jungkook- ahh yes our angst boi- his birthday party scene was so cute he was so flustered and malfunctioned Sksks it was nice to see a raw and genuine part of him that was truly thankful for her that day I hope we get to see more of that. Jk annoying y/n during hobi’s run by giving her a cig omg I cant- this man’s needs to stop he just loves to tease. Such a sassy and snarky boy I’m totally here fir it all the way. And him picking a scary movie bc he knows hobi Jin and jimin will hate it lol. Him already agreeing to held joon and y/n w the wards before she even asked- really can’t hind anything in this house lol. I forgot to talk about this, but joon being upset w y/n and she didn’t call for him when she head the spirit threaten her 😩 he tries to pretend he doesn’t care but he DOES FR and Jk look at him like dam. Okay but that cliffhanger for the last chapter ofc u just stuff us full of fluff just to rip it out of us and I LOVE IT. Jimin - Y/N getting him his horse... my bestie who usually beta reads for me was like Dana no way lmao. I wanna have disposable income like Y/N, and spoil all the boys silly too!! I guess we can live vicariously though Y/N LOL. 💀💀💀 But Jimin so deserved to be reunited with Vista, and he was so happy to have a piece of his former home with him now. Jimin is such a sweet, polite guy, so him wishing Joonie a happy birthday proves he really just want to keep the peace. Tipsy Jimin is just the cutest stinking thing ever, I can picture his face so clearly in my mind! Knowing Y/N, she'll definitely make good on her mental promise to bring Jimin to see his family (I'm sure she wants to meet them too!) Also YES you're right, he was totally shirtless when he was patching up the roof of the stable... I would have passed out if I saw that, Y/N is a strong woman!

Tae - UGH Another one that is totally whipped for Y/N, taking pictures of her, including a couple at his first expo... even though only four were displayed at that expo, you can imagine he's probably taken dozens more of her, which makes me blush and kick my feet. He's definitely one of the more cuddly ones, too, so when he hugged her at the expo that moment was so sweet and intimate... physical touch must be one of his love languages. I love my men a little possessive, and I DO remember the whole perilla leaf debate (wild) and Tae being like that both irl AND in Trouvaille is just so... you know? He was definitely staking claim over Y/N in that brewery, he did not like that random man staring at his girl like that. OOF! 🥵 I'm glad you brought up Tae and Yoongi beginning to come around to one another. They have that connection of both being into music, and I think they have similar possessive feelings over Y/N. Maybe Yoongi will be the one who gets close to Tae first, we'll see!!

Jeongguk - fhdjasf our little edgelord! Ah his birthday was so self indulgent, fluffy, and a chance to see his softer side under all that iciness he usually displays. I think the longer time wears on, he'll let go of more of that frostiness and become more comfortable showing Y/N his tender side. fjdksa I forgot about the scene where he offered her a cigarette at Hoseok's meet-- such a twerp!! I love love love scary movies, and I feel like him maybe Yoongi are the only two that would actually wanna watch a horror film with me IRL, or Y/N in Trouvaille. Hoseok is a bit of a scaredy cat, and the rest of them put that off a little bit as well LOL. And for sure, there really isn't anything that can be hidden in that house anymore, there are ears literally everywhere.... bad news for someone who likes to talk shit, like me. But that's an example of Jeongguk being uncharacteristically sweet, agreeing to help Y/N even if he doesn't have to. Joon was so pissed when she didn't call out for him when she was threatened, but Y/N handled everything just fine, IMO, he was being a dramatic wolf.

You know I love a good cliffhanger!!! I can't not have one almost every time. Hopefully, this time, the conflict can be resolved quickly, and it isn't as bad as The Incident between Joon and Tae. We shall see-- or you may have already seen, in this newest update!! I'm dying.... there is indeed too much testosterone in that house, but I suppose that it is just something they're all going to need some adjusting to. BUT!! Thank you again so so much for sending in these messages and gushing over the boys with me. I always look forward to hearing what you think. Loves you babe!! 💜💞💜💞

Not a House, But a Home

AHHHH ok ok this was SO fun to write because it's pre-musical Maitlands!! As someone with a deep love for technical theatre, it was fun trying to imagine what the house would be like before the events of the musical. Scenic design is a fun hobby of mine and I love what a set will say about the characters that interact with it!!

Okay so usually when I'm first encountering a prompt/idea, I get clear image of like...the center of the fic? or at least one very specific scene that I can sort of stretch like taffy and build on. The one for this fic was Barbara with the wallpaper! The very first decision I made was that they'd be fixing up the house a bit. It felt in character to me for the Maitlands to literally fix every goddamn thing they could think of instead of like...confronting their mortality LMAO so I wanted to go to a period of their life that felt new and fresh! Also I really love the pastel green wallpaper that they use on the set for the show and I thought it would be sweet if Barbara was the one to put that up. Something something she wears green the house is green something something good luck charm

Then of course the JOKES!! I'm a dad joke connoisseur myself, so it was really fun getting to pick ones for Adam to use. All the jokes in the fic are ones I've used myself, but I looked them up online for specific phrasing. It was really fun getting to play with Adam's delivery actually! To me, Adam has absolutely zero doubt that he's hilarious and will just keep on truckin' until he makes someone laugh. He's so fun to write! He's mischievous and loving and so very white, bless his heart.

I think the core of their relationship is 100% that Barbara and Adam are each other's best friends, y'know? They feel like high school or college sweethearts, or the result of a meet-cute--something sweet and forever-binding. They can't leave Target without buying a million useless things and they take turns either pretending the baby section isn't there or going in and cooing over the little onesies. They slow dance in the kitchen with no music. They have loud, dramatic sing-alongs in the minivan. I think part of that comes from being married/together, but a lot of it is just loving each other's quirks and company.

Also I wrote this in the tags of the og post but I kept making myself laugh writing it by imagining Beetlejuice like...in their walls commenting on the events and such. He's such a wretched little creature I love him dearly. During Ready Set, Not Yet when you see it live, he's bopping around and scatting with 3-D glasses and popcorn literally waiting for them to die it's so fucking funny

Strange Exhilaration

baby's first wicked fic! Wicked will always have a special place in my heart tbh and it was fun bringing back those memories.

This fic was a gift that I whipped up in a couple days, so I didn't sit with it as long as I do some of my other prompts. It was actually nice to do that. It forced me not to overthink what I was doing.

Writing Glinda was a challenge but a welcome one? She speaks in such a specific way but because the show's been running so long, it's basically a new role each time a new actress steps in. I've only ever seen it live once and that was four or five years ago? So it wasn't super fresh in my mind. It was fun trying to reconcile what I remember with what I needed from Glinda. Her vocabulary is everything to me. I stole 'seriosity' (which is a real word but hasn't been used in ages) from Newsies because I had literally just seen it, but the rest were sorta off the cuff!!

okay so first: girlies. jot that down. I love Glinda and Elphaba's friendship and all the tropes that they encompass both together and apart. Whether or not you actually ship it, I do think it's important to write them as if they're a little in love with each other...because they are! I approach the center of their dynamic like this (and I write a lot of deep friendships this way) and it really makes their intimate moments shine ;w;

Elphaba having ticklish hands and Glinda being a teasy sunshine ler were both happy accidents but so fun to write. RIP Elphaba, me too buddy. Hands are mean. But I think it speaks back to their friendship in a sweet way? Elphaba being startled and embarassed by her own softness and Glinda being genuinely 100% delighted by it is so wholesome and true to them, I think. Then of course the reverse of Elphaba allowing herself to be playful and mischievous and Glinda clearly having the time of her life. Ahhhh I love them!!!!

I was fighting for my LIFE not to use 'wicked' or 'bubbly' as adjectives in case it was corny...I think I only did it once or twice each though. I'm so brave.

ahhhh i did it!!! after 10+ years of not having played symphonia, i finished it again for like...what? my 20th time or so? and MAN, even after having played it so many times, after all these years, i still had such a blast playing through the ps3 version for the first time!! this game will forever hold a special place in my heart, so i'll just ramble on about it some more in some junk thoughts below!

oh my god i don't even know where to begin with trying to describe just how much this game means to me. even before i found out that this game was going to be re-released for the switch, it was on my list to replay it. it might be me looking at it with nostalgia glasses but wow, i still think that this game is such a gem to play even though it was released in like the early 2000s. i gotta say that the game was harder than i remembered it being, ESPECIALLY before you reach tethe'alla because wow i just kept running out of TP and being underleveled etc, but once you get past the first few hours of tethe'alla the game becomes much more balanced. also the tethe'alla dungeons weren't as annoying as i thought they'd be, even the temple of shadow. i only did a couple of sidequests: the formal party, the beach one, raine's mother, and the extra one they added that you get to see depending on who you picked as your soulmate which....holy crap that altamira scene of lloyd and sheena was WAY too damn cute what the hell!!!!!! i love seeing those tho dorks being awkward as hell with each other lmao so i don't even care to look up what the scene would look like if you had picked zelos as your soulmate because wow that was cuteness overload.

now that i have more appreciation for the work that voice actors do, i cannot BELIEVE the voice acting cast for this game, geez!!!! every single one of them is just such a marvel. yeah i can go on and on about how sheena is my favorite character especially because i think that jennifer hale's VA work really shines in some of the small yet noticeable liberties she takes with her lines (even moreso in her flanoir/heimdall scenes), but i gotta say the one that really hurt my soul was genis's voice acting when he gets trapped inside the great tree. like, the line where he says "when it comes down to it, my body starts shaking..." like EXCUSE ME SIR!!!!! his voice cracking during those lines??? i just wanted to go in and HUG HIM!!! which is why i had to include it in my screenshots above because WOW even though i've seen that scene so many times it just shook me this time even more. i've already talked about this before but ALSO when raine confronts her mother?? fuuuuuckkkalkdjflkasdjflkjsadf ahhhhhhhh i love all of these damn characters so much and it's because the VAs did just such a fantastic job with all of them!!

i will never stop marveling at the effort that these devs did in making sure all of the characters were able to be picked as your soulmate. i haven't played any other game that lets you do this and that handles it so well. i think i've only deviated from my usual path once when i was trying to get 100% collectibles, but man i will never again pick kratos as the soulmate cus as much as i don't find zelos's personality likable at all (yeah yeah i know it's just a mask because of the trauma etc but like did they have to make him a pervert) i don't wanna kill any of my friends, sheesh! but anyway YEAH i mean even in the sequel i remember they handled the "who did lloyd leave at the end with" pretty well and let you choose there as well, amazing!!! thank you for letting me choose my partner because geez i don't know what it is about me and never finding myself rooting for the "canon" pairing in games! (abyss being the one exception that comes to mind)

also i think i haven't played another tales game that has a better soundtrack than this one. abyss, berseria, zestiria, arise...none of them really had more than 3 songs that caught my attention, but symphonia (and even the sequel has some pretty good original songs) is just full of them. the ending theme of symphonia is one of my favorite ending themes ever in a video game. there's just something so emotionally powerful about it that ugh just tugs at my heart. which, OK that artwork that they added for the ps3 version that shows scenes from throughout the game?? FUCKING LOVED IT omg!!!! nothing better than sitting back and listening to that gorgeous ending theme while looking at that cute af artwork scrolling through!! (AND they added the bridge-jumping scene which is also one of my faves aldkjfalskf).

i think when the switch version comes out i will try to go the "hard" path and recruit sheena earlier in the game--is that when that scene of her playing the kids shows up? or are you supposed to visit luin like way earlier to see it? EITHER way i'll be rambling more about this game once i play it again next year on the switch because i didn't even get to talk about what is now one of my favorite skits in the game! :)

anyway, xillia arrived today and i was definitely thinking about starting it as soon as i finished symphonia, but my love for the symphonia cast has once again won and i think xillia will have to wait until i play through dawn of the new world. i MEAN, it's not THE greatest game and definitely not what a lot of people were expecting after symphonia, but tenebrae is hilarious, sheena has the most screentime out of all of the original symphonia cast (except maybe tied with regal?), and i honestly don't remember much about this game since i only played it like three times. ALSO omg i'm pretty sure this doesn't get shown in the sequel but WHERE IS CHOCOLAT because *imagine!!!* her grandma gets killed by lloyd (yeah it's not his fault but you know what i mean), she gets taken to a human ranch, while she's away her hometown gets DESTROYED due to lloyd and the chosen awakening spirits of both worlds, so...now you have no grandma, no hometown, your mother's shop was (more than likely) destroyed because of the giant tree, and who knows if chocolat's mom survived the attack! like omg that girl has been through A LOT!!!

OK i need to stop rambling and start dawn of the new world. long story short, my symphonia obsession is back and i'm loving it!!!!
