In a fight to the death between Solaris Fabby and Prism who do you think would come out the victor? The circumstances that lead to the fight are irrelevant I just need to know who wins.
Oh I see... We're pitting three bad bitches against each other... any history/feelings on killing aside, my answer depends on the nature of the fight/what they're allowed to prepare and use for the brawl. Putting this under the cut because WOW this got longer than I thought.
Edit: Also I forgot to add but I'm not going to throw in any of their feelings between each other for this, I'm just kind of basing on what they CAN do, no context no nothing. If you DO want my opinion of it...I think they Really wouldn't like having to kill each other. But that's not what we're here for today.
For pure hand-to-hand combat, no additional tools/weapons... Prism is probably not used to that kind of thing. She's on her ass inventing all day and Reggie mentions that she's not used to the physically stressful life of a field agent. Fabby's probably more used to getting into fights, though her style leans more on her using lethal inventions. And I feel like her general sense of class would prevent her from fully giving her all with her body movements.
Which leaves us with Solaris. I wholeheartedly believe she's jacked as fuck. Astronauts are required to be physically fit and strong to do whatever it is they do in space. So all that training, combined with her stature easily gives her the physical advantage over the other two. However, if the fight happens AFTER the Death Engine explosion (maybe a few months... or years later...) Solaris is in a lot weaker state. If we're being extremely generous and say she's almost as good as she was before, the odds would be more or less equal between the three. She is Nawt gonna go back to the way she was before sorry queen. But if we're talking peak performances, then there you go. Brick Shithouse Solaris.
Conclusion: Solaris, for pure hand-to-hand combat.
IF we're playing to their strengths and let these inventors play with their little touys, they'd have a more equal footing methinks! My immediate instinct says Fabricator wins because I think, out of the three of them, she's the most familiar with designing inventions that are the most efficient at killing people, if we're going from her kill count. However, she's going against two other inventors with some very unique tricks up their sleeves.
Solaris's lasers are a close second and BOY are they dangerous. Maybe they're not in the same scale as the Death Engine because of the possible timeframe, but she's able to make the dashboard canon and self-destruct module real quickly (I THINK. i forgot the timeline for this but I digress). Prism's robots can Also technically overpower the other two with the sheer number she could make within a set timeframe. Maybe she could also weaponize kinesium (but that's a little disadvantageous for her robots now that I think of it. Could be like a last resort self-destruct thing. But she's not gonna like it).
Fabby could easily kill them with poison gas, but with Solaris's and the robots' lasers they could ignite and negate the gas--that is, if they're quick enough. From the gasses Phoenix ignites, they're usually still in their containers before they're dispersed in the air (and I'm not sure how the chemistry goes if they try to ignite that as it's being sprayed...). If anyone tried to attack Prism directly, they'd have to go through her shield of robots (which she's not gonna like either, but they Are handy). Solaris also still has her physical strength alongside her lasers. This is actually harder than I thought with all the possibilities between them oh Goddddd.
If we find weaknesses, I think Prism's would be the most glaring - if any of the other two find out how to destabilize kinesium, it could make a disastrous chain reaction of explosions that'll wipe out her robots if they're not far enough. But then the robots could try to explode closer to the other two, somewhat of a "im bringing you down with me" situation. For Fabricator. I dont really know what other Types of inventions she could make specifically for fighting...................if she blows all her poison gas she's probably gonna get screweds immediately. She could have lethal fashion things of varied uses, but that still involves surpassing the defenses and avoiding the offenses the other two have. Solaris is going to fair pretty well when it comes to the offense, but her stature actually puts a bigger target on her body since she'd be easier to see and hit.
Jesus well. Sorry to disappoint you anon but I'm really drawing a blank here. If you really want I could add their feelings on Killing as a last resort and say that Prism probably wouldn't win because she Really isn't the type to kill without reason (she'd defend herself to the end), and Fabby would be the winner of this because she is in fact the most bloodthirsty out of the three of them. She's probably the fastest to analyze what she should do to exploit the other two's weaknesses.
Without that, feel free to imagine these three inventors absolutely giving it their all and then everyone exploding to bits and pieces simultaneously. Whoever wins is a win for #feminism except they really just Die at the same time here so

I truly believe hes ridden with guilt and a small part of him doesnt find himself worth the same as others. Which is why he always does ‘self sacrificial’ plays, throwing himself in more danger to take the enemy down.
This moment i thought he was gonna do the same thing but instead, he pulled Clouse in the portal and used him as leverage to pull himself out. I think he realized and grew from this.

Hey Nox! I wanna hear about your characters! Whomever you wanna talk about most, gimme
I’ve been rotating Skadumire in my head for over a month because I’m gonna be running his campaign in a few months and GODDDDD. I love him so much the man is so fucked up.
And just to be safe in case any of the four of you dipshits didn’t blocklist the tag: BLACKENED SKIES PLAYERS DO NOT READ THIS.
Okay everyone who isn’t those people specifically may read this ^_^
I may have mentioned it before but Skadumire originated as a massive middle finger to Curse of Strahd aka the worst fucking D&D 5e adventure, both for reasons of how it plays and because it is an almost 1-1 retelling of Dracula, with the antisemitism and antiromanyism that is prominent in Dracula included. Please don’t look into it it’s genuinely so fucking bad. (Willing to elaborate more with anyone curious with the issues of CoS in DMs)
So I wanted to make a vampire centric campaign that focuses more on making something that isn’t based on a specific source material while still having a lot of the intrigue that people like about vampire literature. Originally I was just making a module, but now I’m making an entire TTRPG system that will include Blackened Skies as an official campaign.
So basically Skadumire’s story is meant to revolve around tragedy and family. He loses almost everyone he ever loved (save his brothers) in one way or another. He lost his wife and son to a plague, he lost his eldest daughter to his own attempts to bring the former back, and he lost his remaining daughter to her fear of what he’d become. Because he’s so family oriented I really wanted to play into the “vampire family” concept. Every person he turns he considers family, with two main antagonists in the campaign both being seen as his “children”. The first one, Dhalia, is a fallen angel who leans into the family dynamic, her father betrayed her and she saw Skadumire as a replacement. The second is Douglas who accepts Skadumire as a “father” but honestly views him more as a business partner.
Using Skadumire’s family as his underlings was something I wanted to do to make his motivations clear. He does not seek personal gain outside of his goal to revive and restore his family, he lends his power to others because until he can find a way to rend souls out of the clutches of the Goddess of Death, he has no use for such power. Skadumire is as much deific as he is merely a man. In the sense that his cult and his followers revere him as divinity and the Myth of the Vampire (game mechanic nonsense dw about it) is known throughout the worlds of Tragoedia, but he gets very little out of it.
So game mechanic nonsense time. Out of playable Archetypes that will exist in Tragoedia the one that can do interesting things with gods as patrons is the Sacred. Unfortunately in Blackened Skies as a campaign it would make very little sense in receiving patronage from the god you intend to kill. BUT in other campaigns he’s totally gonna be on the table for that. The Sacred will be an interesting thing to play because each patron offers a different pact. Pacts are basically just the rules for what you can and can’t do (or have to do) if you want to receive magic from your patron. For example, King Xolgar’an of the nine dominions of Inferno is a very give and take style patron, he’ll do whatever you want as long as you can pay the price he offers. Alba Lupa of Skadura only offers favors to her Sacred if it furthers her goal of keeping the order of the dead. Lutéa of the wilds of Elfame will give as much of her power to her Sacred as they need so long as they walk a path of benevolence. So on and so forth through all the gods.
Skadumire is, as a god, also available as a patron for the Sacred. His pact entails very little, it’s only qualification is to never bring harm to a vampire (see why this is a bad one for Blackened Skies even if you weren’t supposed to kill the man). Like, cause as I’ve mentioned the guy doesn’t care. He sees himself as the only one who can fulfill his goals, but he respects his followers and his Sacred enough to grant them power.
And there’s a whole lot more going on with my funny guy but hehe hoohoo I just think he’s neat :)

Words cannot even describe how much I adore her fic Snakes & Daggers. Rowaelin's dynamic is written so well here that I literally feel like I'm reading the actual books. Very beautifully written. Had me in tears some times and laughing my ass of others. This is hands down one of my favorite Rowaelin fics I've ever read. I would suggest everybody drop what they are doing and start reading this right now! ♡
Day 2: Fly and Aim by Kriticize on AO3
I love a good college au and boy does this fic deliver! I wish I knew if this writer was on Tumblr because if so I would be flooding their inbox 24/7 telling them how much I love this fic! Rowaelin in this is peak enemies to friends to lovers. I love reading about these two idiots whenever a new chapter is up. Plus... hot athlete Rowan? Sign me up!!!
Day 3: @themoonthestarsthesuriel
I couldn't pick a single fic from themoonthestarsthesuriel that I loved the most. Literally every single thing she writes is amazing. But if I had to choose some of my favorites, I would say No Choice But to Love You is up there. Its HOT AF 🔥❤ Also The Bet is amazing and I loved reading the same idiots fall in love. I'm just going to link her entire master list because honestly it's all just so good. @themoonthestarsthesuriel writes Rowaelin and Feysand so well. I seriously can't get enough of her writing.
Day 4: @morganofthewildfire
Honestly, Morgan writes some of the best stories I've ever read. I can't even put into words how beautiful her writing is. This was so hard because I love so many of her fics but I think if I had to pick one, my favorite would have to be The Lucky One. This fic fucking RUINED me. Literal tears streaming down my face, sobbing uncontrollably. Oh my GODDDDD she writes so well!!! Morgan has such an incredible gift with words. I'm literally never going to stop bugging her to write a book. I need her to write a book just so I can like, hug it? If that makes sense lmao. I want to buy a whole bunch of copies just to display on every bookshelf in my house so that if anyone asks I can say "my friend wrote that! And it's fucking awesome!"

Day 5: @tomtenadia
*screams incoherently* where do I even begin? I absolutely love every single thing @tomtenadia writes. Everything. I especially adored her last fic Families. It's just so sweet and fluffy. I may need a dentist appointment just from reading all this sweetness. I'm currently reading her ongoing fic A Little Braver and it's amazing. Aelin is a badass firefighter, and Rowan a hot air force pilot. It literally couldn't get any better that that. I love how she writes rowaelin so well. Their relationship always feels so real in everything she writes for them. @tomtenadia's writing never disappoints 💗
Day 6: @writtenonreceipts
Her fic For the Love of Game is amazing and it's one of my favorite rowaelin fics. Her writing style flows so well and she has such a talent with putting words together.
I'm still in the process of reading through everything she's written so far. Whenever I get some free time, I'm catching up on her fics. I seriously can't even choose a story that I like the most because everything she writes is just sooooo good. I am so jealous of her skills with words.
Day 7: @lemonade-coolattas
I first discovered her phenomenal writing during Rowaelin Month with her amazing fics. The way she writes is just so lovely and captivating.
One of my favorite fics of hers is Glitter. It was the first fic I read from her and what got me obsessed with her writing style. It's so sweet an fluffy and I absolutely adored it as well as her other rowaelin month fics. I'm so glad I found her lovely stories and I can't wait to read what she comes up with next.
Day 8: Weight of Living by Peanut12 on Ao3
There are not enough words in the world to properly describe how much I love this story. This is one of those fics that I find myself constantly coming back to time and time again without fail.
The author's writing style is so tender and beautifully put together. It is a little on the angstier side, though... You know those scary fics that you are always nervous and excited to read the next part because it could totally be super fluffy and adorable, but on the other hand you just know that the author can completely rip your heart out at any second? Yeah, that's this fic right here. In any case, I love the story so much and can't wait to see where it goes. I probably check this fic for updates more often than anything else.

1) If your f/o drew you, how would they draw you? The pose, the style, the coloring?
He. Is. SHAMELESS. Joe is so the type of guy to draw me completely naked, hair tousled all over, and legs spread wide open on the couch. The “Titanic draw-me-like-one-of-your-French-girls” kind of borderline pornographic artist. And the worst part is…he’s f*cking good at it. You know those Rubenesque beauty artist styles from the 17th century? Yeah, THOSE GUYS.
He’s amazing at drawing me in every little detail from the location of my freckles and acne, to the cellulite and stretch marks all over my body. He has every part of me mesmerized. And my art in comparison looks like a toddler drew circle ass and tits compared to his Leonardo De f*cking Vinci ass! Seriously, I’m jealous of his talents lol!
And you know what’s the worst part? Even if he didn’t draw me naked? He’s totally the type of guy to draw me bent over pin-up style in the sexiest red dress known to man while drinking wine. His usage of colors is phenomenal, and he makes me so embarrassed because he puts so much effort into making me look beautiful in his drawings. Then he gets “inspiration” and has his way with me after looking at my drawings for so long. 😉😉😉
2) What kind of outfit would your f/o pick for you, if they had to?
If he had to dress me up, Joe would be the happiest damn guy on Earth. He’d make sure I wear nothing but the sexiest dresses and lingerie for him, but only in private. He can’t stand the thought of anyone else looking at my “luscious Latina curves” and gets quite possessive of me. In public, he loves seeing me in fuzzy sweaters with maxi skirts or sundresses.
As for shoes he loves it when I wear high heels or knee high boots to top off the look. Joe thinks it’s classy yet tasteful for peak fashion. Plus I look so damn adorable and sexy in his eyes like that. He’ll also take this opportunity to adorn me with the prettiest of jewelry he bought for me on previous dates. It’s a not-so subtle reminder to let other “admirers” (aka any people in a 50 mile radius) know to,” back off b*tch, she’s MINE! ” as his statement.
3) You and your f/o are in a crisis. What’s the first thing you two do?
Joe is definitely the type of guy to keep his cool in emergency situations. His literal motto is and I quote,” Never let yourself panic. No matter how bad it is, you find a way to stay calm, and keep your wits.” He’s been in enough dangerous and traumatic situations in his lifetime to react almost instinctively like a wild, bloodthirsty animal. He also uses his sharp intellect to outsmart and overcome his usually stronger opponents.
As for me, I try hard to stay calm but I’m actually freaking out on the inside. Joe can easily tell if my whole body is shaking, or if I’m swallowing my tears back. Joe then guides me through the process firmly but calmly. Once I know what to do he backs off and lets me do the rest.
Afterwards Joe engulfs me in the warmest hug, kisses my head, and tells me how proud he is for being so strong. He knows it’s not easy, and he knows I’m not used to situations like this at all. When it comes to the committing crimes like killing people, preserving organs, and burying the bodies he does it completely by himself. Unless if he desperately needs help from me he prefers to keep the dangerous activities with me to a minimum. He’s considerate that way. 👍
4) Your f/o sends you a drunk/sleepy text. What does it say?
When Joe is drunk, he’s usually the type to slur and misspell his texts even when he’s sexting me lol. Emojis will be all over the place and he’s a lot more expressive. His grammar is horrible too which makes it even funnier! 😂👌

5) How does your f/o get your attention when they need you?
Joe gets very naughty by having his hands all over my body while kissing the nape of my neck. He usually does that in private or when I’m making a long phone call. If I’m still too focused on something, then he starts clearing his throat or groaning quite loudly to snap me out of it. He then starts visibly pouting and it’s the most adorable thing I’ve seen my yandere man do. 😫💕
6) How does your f/o introduce you to their friends?
Honestly, Joe does it as normally as any guy would do to introduce his lover to his friends which is happily and proudly. The only difference is that he’s subtly more visibly affectionate. He loves rubbing circles into my lower back while he hums and nods listening to other people. He also loves pulling me closer into his arms midway through conversations.
Sometimes if his friends get a little “too close” to me he starts kissing my cheek or the top of my head. Then while I’m not looking he sends the most iciest and intimidating glare at them for good measure. If they still don’t take the hint…well let’s just say he’ll take things into his own bloody hands. After all, he knows how to easily dispose of a body so you better sleep with one eye open. 🔪🩸

They have a cute little apartment in New York together and they're finished school, Kurt has a job in fashion and Sebastian works at a law firm. They're walking through Central Park one beautiful summer day, and they stop to take a seat on a bench and just enjoy the sunshine.
This young couple walk past them, a woman and a man pushing a stroller. They're looking on and see a stuffed animal being thrown out of the stroller. The man stops pushing the stroller, and the woman bends down to pick up the toy and give it back to the baby, and she's just smiling so widely. She tries to hand the toy back but the baby won't take it, just waves his hands at his mom. So the mom laughs, passes the toy to the man, and she picks the baby out of the stroller. She holds him up in the air, smiling and laughing and the baby is giggling back at her, and she gives him a little kiss on the forehead and blows a raspberry on his cheek before putting him back in the stroller and they keep walking.
Kurt is still watching them walk away, but Sebastian looks over at him and sees how soft his eyes are watching, and he knows exactly what they're both thinking, so he says, "That could be us someday, you know."
Kurt turns to look back at Sebastian, and he looks kind of shocked, but Sebastian just smiles back at him, soft and his green eyes are sparkling. And Kurt just kind of melts looking back at his husband, and he says. "Yeah. I think I'd like that."

Fugo wore something without holes in it this time, exchanging his normal suit for a red one. Narancia wore a simple button down shirt with black pants, his hair slicked back, and Abbacchio wore a lavender suit with a holographic watch and pearl earrings, his hair in a ponytail.
You smiled at how good the group looked; all the boys cleaned up so nicely and all together at one time without something about murdering someone or getting attacked on your minds.
The men stood up; not all smiling, but all visibly happy to see you two. Giorno got up and walked toward the capo, pulling him into an embrace. “Happy birthday, Buccellati. Trish sends her wishes as well, since she couldn’t make it.”
A blush crossed Buccellati’s face, a warm smile creeping onto it as his shock faded into happiness. “Thank you guys. You didn’t have to do this... I don’t even like celebrating my birthday, anyways.”
Mista scoffed, waving his hand around. “HA! As if we’d let you spend another birthday locked in your room and doing work, especially when you have a lady around!”
The group chuckled and Narancia cut in. “Besides, it sounded like she kept you pretty busy this morning!”
You were now blushing along with Bruno and the group chuckled and Fugo smacked Narancia in the back of his head. “For christ sake, let the man live!”
“Sorry!”
You shake your head, assuring Narancia it was okay and slid into the booth you were all sitting in.
Mista grabbed the wine that sat in the middle of the table, along with a few cups. “Now, is this a party or a family reunion? Let’s get these drinks going already!”
Your night was filled with laughter and conversation, as well as a few surprises at home. Everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest extent.
Maybe Bruno would start celebrating his birthday more from now on.

I don't always love when characters don't stay dead but I'm completely happy w/it here for multiple reasons, like the fact that I really like rewind and chromedome’s story after this arc - like, I LOVE that they addressed the fact that rewind 2 is different from OG rewind, despite being fundamentally the same person, so he and cd cant just immediately get back together and pretend everything's fine, but also there's really only an 18 month (?i think) disparity between the 2 rewinds which is nothing compared to literal millions of years, soooo
ALSO I literally never considered this until this reread but it would've been kind of an L for rewind to die and stay dead considering that rewind and cd were The First transformers gay couple, and that's a really big deal! and I don't really consider it bury your gays bc like, rewind doesn't stay dead that long and also there are soooo many other gays, but STILL
plus rewind and cd ended up having a lot of story left to get thru, which is awesome
also I just love rewind so I'm glad he’s back :)

I fucking love this scene bc this is basically the culmination of brainstorm being Completely Ominous for the entire story thus far, like, it really hit me this readthru that brainstorm was so totally sinister for like most of his screentime up until this arc...and this scene is the pinnacle, I love how everything brainstorm says is overlaid with so much tension for the reader bc of what we know now about him
like brainstorm saying ‘yes - here’s to fixing things’ is so fucking sinister even though out of context that sentence is just normal
and when atomizer basically voices what the entire audience is thinking as brainstorm opens the briefcase - ‘brainstorm, you can’t do that.’ bc yeah, what the hell, he’s opening THE briefcase, Oh Shit
AND THEN THE FINAL SHOT....brainstorm front and center looking SCARY AS HELL.... ‘I can do whatever the hell I like.’....everyone suddenly collapsed around him...the fantastic shadowy lighting...the ominously open briefcase...the clear segue Directly into the next high-concept arc....[chefs kiss] ART
seriously I love this issue so much. SO many good things. such good character stuff, really great interactions, some fantastic plot development, super creative sci-fi fun times...all around just an extremely solid and enjoyable issue, 10 outta 10
and MAN OH MAN I cannot wait to get into the elegant chaos arc, it fucking SLAPS, that arc and remain in light have always been my favs, I'm so excited to revisit it
AND ruth bought the physical comic TPB for like issues 34-38 or something and I'm so so glad I can read that instead of braving the many split-up double page spreads on the online comic
so yeah, cant wait!

HESI
Alright I just took my first HESI of the summer semester (one more to go) I got a 910, not bad but imma do better. Sorry for not posting so much I was barely motivated to study let alone form a coherent thought.
However, before if get to the meat and potatoes I do want to address a couple things
With the state of the world slowly unraveling we have to take a moment to take care of ourselves. Yes, protest because Vanessa Guillen story should be told, protest until Black lives matter, Protest for the kids in the cages, protest and help look for out for the missing indigenous women. But also remember to take care of yourself.
You have a right to feel sad, you have a right to feel angry, you have a right to feel overwhelmed. They are all really hard things to stomach. If you have to take the day to yourself where you don’t study, where you don’t clean the house, where you stay off social media. Do that. You will not be helping anyone of you don’t help yourself first. Do not let anyone shame you for having to take care of yourself. Everything will be there after you take your bubble bath and treat yourself to a nice dinner. Especially right now when we are so far removed from everyone due to this pandemic and because we are going a lot of things from home it is infinitely easier to neglect self care. However, when you’re done rejuvenating yourself its back to work. The medical community is not immune to the societal problems that we are trying to fix right now. If anything they become just as prominent. There is bias in medicine, and we have to actively work to change that.
Moving onto the topic for today HESI
So I don’t know about other school so much but I do know that the HESI is pretty standardly used to determine the readiness of a student for the NCLEX. At my school we have a HESI at the end of every course as well as an exit HESI. I know at some schools they only do an entrance, midway, and exit HESI.
I digress.
So, the HESI consists of 55 NCLEX style questions. However five of those questions don’t count, they are for data purposes. You are only scored on 50 questions of the 55. I think the amount of time that is allowed to take the test varies from institution to institution, but I was allowed 180 minutes which is more than enough time for 55 questions.
Scoring, so this bit can get a little confusing. When you finish taking the exam you will be given two scores.
Percentage score: Simply put this is how many questions right you got out of the total.
HESI score: The max HESI score is 1,500 but an acceptable score is usually between 850-900+. Now the questions that you’re provided on the test have different levels of importance. The more important the concept the more weight the concept carries the bigger deal it is when you get the question wrong. because of this somone can get a 75% and get a 900 while someone else can get a 72% but score a 642.
How do I study for the HESI?
I am basically MARRIED to my Saunder’s book. (the orange one) The chapter reviews have mnemonics and graphics and narrow the information that you need to know without the fluff. Not the mention the online resources. OH MY GODDDDD the online resources. There are over 800 questions for the foundations section. Just do all the practice questions humanly possible in the amount o f time that you have and the rest will flow . Make sure to look at the rationales because that will teach you test taking strategies that you can use down the line. I swear by this book.
Anyways that’s all I have for now. I think I’ll have some more content reviews after I turn in my theology paper this week. Or maybe I’ll have my HESI remediation link up, we shall see....
