since this is a thing that happened in the community lately: white people, stop treating poc like we're a problem for you.

i'm tired of the microaggressions and internalized racism that goes uncheck in self ship. enough with the "ohh i'm scared of getting a callout," "ohh i'm scared of doing something wrong," "ohh i'm scared people will tell me i'm culturally appropriating." why is your fear of being ignorant on us?

if you're worried some part of your self insert or self ship could be seen as culturally or racially problematic, why don't you reach out to one of your poc friends and ask them, assuming your friends aren't all entirely white (eyeroll)? why don't you use the free and easy google search bar and see what you can learn? not everything from another culture or created by a poc is cultural appropriation and i know yall know that.

why post about how you're scared of being ignorant, instead of stepping up and educating yourself? why put that fear on us being "haters" or "calling you out"? why not do a little bit of labor yourself? you have a chance to grow as a person all the time if you choose to do something positive for yourself and the marginalized groups around you.

i was trying to have a convo with a white selfshipper who said b/eloveds/ophia wasn’t being racist and, as a bipoc, i told them they CANNOT decide what is racist and what isn’t. anyways, instead of answering my ask, they made a vague post about it saying i was “looking to fight them” when i was just trying to tell a WHITE PERSON they can’t decide RACISM. poc selfshippers stay losing gd.

i recently had a nb person mock me and make fun of the struggles of trans men. just yesterday i had to deal with someone who is only a quarter latinx passing themselves off as incredibly dark skinned and calling themselves brown/talking over other poc until they were caught. then there’s this whole “transgays” racist belovedsophia shit. and people are defending each and every one of them!! i’m tired! this community is a garbage fire! people are constantly letting their true colors show.

i hope you know you’re in the right here. and i hope that person isn’t following me because i’m disgusted. you disrespect one poc you disrespect all of us. racist pos. there are brown kids in cages and black people being killed for existing and they’re a white person acting big on tumblr dot com! where they talk about fictional characters! newsflash, life outside of fiction exists!

people can call me aggressive all they want but i’m tired. this shit affects us. this HURTS us. we’re allowed to be angry. people are perpetuating all the same shit they love to share positivity posts talking against. anyway, anon, i hope you know you can always come talk to me. about anytning, this incident included. i understand and i care about you.

The "DNI if Cishet, you'll be fine" seems a little uh, dismissive of black selfshippers who are probably even more endangered by the current events happening than LGBT selfshippers (Not saying that the current events AREN'T emblematic of homophobia and transphobia but racism is quite core to what's happening)

poc in general are in danger especially black and latinx people. i am latinx. i put cishets dni because all of the people who give me problems on here have been white. literally all of them. so as a poc i’m not meaning to be dismissive and i truly hope this is not coming from a white person because i’d rather not be talked down to by someone who doesn’t even experience what i do, but i’ll add white cishets to the post 💖
