I’m Going To Defend A Headcanon

More specifically, a headcanon that literally no one has criticized or judged me for. To be honest, I just want to delve further into it. 

So, there was a post I made a while ago about the other riders getting to know the twins better by observing their quirks and such, and I included a personal HC where Tuffnut has ADHD while Ruffnut is on the autistic spectrum. I think it’s fitting that the two closest people in the whole franchise are both neurodivergent, but with different types. As someone who’s neurodivergent herself, it’s the greatest sense of irony. 

But while they both get easily distracted or hyper, Tuffnut seems to struggle more with paying attention and remembering things, especially plans. Ruffnut, on the other hand, tends to exhibit her emotions differently from the rest of the characters, even her twin. I found this GIF above to be a good example, where she’s happy Heather is here, but doesn’t register the tension in the air as she welcomes her back in a way that can be interpreted as threatening. Hand on the wall and face up close, like she may have difficulty with personal space. 

Tuffnut is probably the most physically expressive character, if not second to Snotlout (the drama king we all love). He literally communicates with his body as much as he talks with his mouth, his hands move constantly and he likes to pace a lot when he has an idea. Speaking of ideas, he shows an impulse to share his own before they’re fleshed out, which while it adds to the comedy, also gives us insight that he has a hard time thinking things through when he’s excited. 

And Ruffnut has sensory issues, you can’t convince me otherwise. She stims with her braids by tugging on them or stroking them, and she’s been shown to enjoy pain more than Tuffnut, which may elude to harmful stimming. And even though she’s claimed to be allergic to fish, I don’t really believe her. I think that because sensory issues weren’t ever commonly discussed or studied in the era of the movies, her reaction to the texture could’ve been summed up as just a food allergy. Because, come on, if Ruffnut was actually allergic to seafood like fish on an island whose main agricultural resource is fish, uhhhh she’d be dead. Coincidentally, she admitted to not liking the idea of chewing her own food when she was twelve. It has to be a texture issue. 

This post is nothing short of a mess, but I had to type out these thoughts somewhere. If there’s anything else I didn’t mention, I’m totally open to hearing others’ opinions on this. The twins are just super interesting to me, is all.

james’ shorts have absolutely no chance against his monstrous thighs, they are fighting for their lives truly. i have always said jeg gives very sakuatsu vibes to me, but I think u could combine that a little bit with atsuhina?? james met sirius when he started high school, instantly fell in love with playing for him, and upon hearing about the younger black brother/seeing him play for the first time james instantly knows he wants to play with regulus one day as well. i think there could be a fun combination of that scene where atsumu tells hinata he will set for him one day but it’s the sakuatsu vibes of regulus just beeng entirely unimpressed with him when they first meet and even when they do start playing together. i feel like you can say that setters & liberos are the backbones of the team….james & reg being the ones to keep their teams together !!

also remus!! i vibe with him being a pinch server / middle blocker i think. imo he is very much like yamaguchi where he loves playing but he isn’t a prodigy and has no desire to pursue it beyond high school, he’s just there for the good vibes & to see sirius’ ass in the tiny lil shorts

vore fic... i've been thinking about one that's a little more hannibal-inspired. but also one a little more supernatural? I don't know. ghoul-esque jegulus or something so that when they vore neither of them has to die. it's just about wanting to consume. to absorb. to want someone so bad you need them to continue existing inside you. like sex doesn't even cut it you NEED to crawl into their ribcage. if u write a vore fic a tag is mandatory. i need to read and eat that shit up like they eat each other. i have this one line in future chapters where james tells regulus something along the lines of 'i am so in love with you it drives me insane i don't know what the insides of your eyelids look like and you do'. it's just about being so obsessed with someone you need them to stop breathing and be the one who does it for them. needing them to have one part of you in their being at all times. then again i just write jegulus crazy like this... woops

and i swear to god last thing bc now I'm also rambling nd gonna be late but alpha/alpha drives me insane. especially if there's a rut. the mild roleplay involved in it. the power play. now i could be normal and think off line and then come back with a conclusive statement but i’m not normal nor have i ever been nd i overthink most things so you’re gonna be privy to my entire thought process

bc the thing is the circumstances surrounding the date are very key to the success of the date bc my answers would be different depending on if it’s like a blind date, if he asked me out, or if i asked him out but bc i have it in my brain that i’m some sort of prize we’ll just set the parameters at he asked me out for the sake of this argument bc ain’t no way imma go on dis date nd he don’t want me back 💀 but also the timing of the date like how well we know each other when the date occurs is key to the success too so we gon have to delve into that a little and then i’ll make my decision at the end nd i sincerely apologize for the length of this answer 🫡

now seokjin has said himself that as long as he meets someone at least once he’s comfortable around them so i imagine if he’s asking me on a date we’ve met at least three times and he’s just really feeling my vibes like we’re both so unserious that that’s gonna carry over be laughing joking general cutting up and he’s a total gentleman so he finna give the whole treatment flowers at the door holding doors open pulling my seat out for me… paying for everything… but also he’s a shy boy so i imagine he’ll be blushing a lot and there will be a tinge of awkwardness at some points but he has a tendency to not shut up whenever he feels awkward so i just think we’d have a really good time <333 definitely a finalist

hobi is a planner. if he’s asking me out it’s bc he realized he felt something confirmed the feeling counted the cost of changing the nature of our relationship and decided it was worth it and the date he planned to take me on would be perfectly suited to me like i just know he’d make it so i would be super happy and super comfortable nd im getting the image of him holding my hand while we’re walking together somewhere idk where and him smiling down with that one soft smile he has you know the one and then him being like “are you having a good time?” and i would be i would be having the best time and feeling so adored and special finalist 100%

with joonie i think he’d ask me out if he had a feeling he’s a very intuitive dude he’d wait it out a little bit to make sure the feeling was real and that it didn’t fade nd if it didn’t we’d be ✈️ going but i feel like the base of the date no matter where you go or what you do would be the conversation and like idk what i would talk about with him 😭😭😭 like it’d be one of those things where nothing is wrong on his end it’d just be me like he’d be trying to get to know me on a deeper level and i’d freeze up like one thing bout me is you gon have to peel me like an onion nd that’s on shrek

call me crazy but i think jimin is one of the ones to most likely value personality over looks. like okay yeah he’s for sure an equal opportunity flirt and you can definitely tell when he see something that he likes but i can see him most being caught off guard by someone like over time he realizes they make him laugh a lot he’s curious about them but can never seem to get enough out of them to satisfy that curiosity so there’s that element of a chase i think he’ll be extra observant the more he comes to terms with his attention towards that particular individual he’d start noticing all their little quirks which would make him care a whole lot so all this to say i think that if jimin asked me on a date it’d be bc i took him by surprise and he’d have to process the fact that he has these feelings and the fact that they’re toward which could create an interesting environment. like while with joon i think i’d be the problem with jimin i think he’d be the problem i think the night would be spent battling his own awkwardness and his need to feel closer to me like i just imagine it being like his lives where he spends half the time being like wow this is awkward what do i talk about what should i do and the other half flirting and asking how we are and being his usual lovely self which i’m not opposed to that at all

tae seems to be a love at first sight kinda dude not necessarily in like he sees you and wants to marry you off rip but i think if he sees you he can usually scope out his level of attraction and general interest you almost immediately and he goes for it like if he sees you and you’re cute and the conversation is good i think a date is definitely on the table and okay bear with me there’s this one scene from bon voyage 2 when they were in hawaii after they came back from that dinner at that hula place and they were talking about how they liked it and taehyung made sure to mention the dancers nd they were all fawning over them but tae specifically had that Look that he likes to do the bedroom eyes kinda thing leaned back voice low eyelids drooped stopping to lick his lips every now and again you KNOW what i’m talking about i can see him 100% doing that on a date HOWEVER as far as i’m concerned i would be beyond flattered but i’m the type to need like 6 months minimum to decided whether or not i like you as a person so the passion and intensity that tae is sure to bring may be a bit much for me

then there’s jungkook i think he’s very open minded about people like when they did the mbti lab thing and the question was like how would you feel if you was going out to eat wit somebody and they brought somebody else along that you ain’t know without telling you and he was the only one that was like yeah that’s cool i wouldn’t mind and that makes me think he’s up there with jimin on the personality > looks like i think if you cute you may catch his attention but it’s not necessarily gonna move him to action i do think he has like a list of traits he wants in a potential partner and if you start checking off boxes eventually he gon be like ✋👁️👄👁️🤚 holup so if jk ask you on a date i think he will have already stacked up a nice lil crush on you and he just tryna figure out if you gon fit in his life the way that he thinks you could that being said i think if i was on a date with kookoo i think it’d be cute! bc he’s cute! he would do cute things like i’m getting mental image of him scooting his chair to be perpendicular to me instead of across from me and then just shaking his head and blushing when i ask why you know he don’t say nun but two words and tbh i don’t say too much either but i can be loud and talkative when i want to and i know that he can as well so we’d switch off being talkative and there’d definitely be some dead moments but like idk kookoo is so sweet and attentive i think it’d be a good time 🥺

SO IN CONCLUSION i think i just cemented the fact that i lean heavy toward the hyung line bc i could immediately see myself with them but with the maknae line i had to figure out how the heck i would possibly be on a date with them and really think about how we would mesh bc i just know they wouldn’t want me 😭 they’re too hot for me all of them are really but my millennials in christ ✊ they’re more insecure about nd i think i could weasel my way into they cracks a bit easier

a/n: kinda rushed the end bc i didnt wanna make it too long <3 also double upload , word count 918

the whole day suna, semi, tendou, y/l/n and even both the miya twins were all begging for the clock to hit 3 for classes to be done. finally taking one last look at the clock seeing it reads 2:59 all their prayers were answered. tonight had everyone excited, people coming to the concert or not, it is the weekend after all.

hearing the ring everyone jumps up sighing with small 'finallys.’ small chatter being heard in the class, y/n walks to the dark haired male. setting her hands down on his desk “did you actually stay up during the whole class?” scoffing at her “well if i have to tutor you i have to know what im teaching right dummy?” he says grabbing his stuff. as she huffs and walks back to her seat to grab her backpack and her case as he follows. “what time should i be there? i dont trust atsumu” he says, grabbing the handle to her case before she can get a grip. looking at him with an eyebrow raised “uh around 11, i can carry ms lady suna dont worr-'' before she could continue he shakes his head “nah i want to”. giving her a small smile “can you be any slower cmon you said you have practice right? i'll walk you to the third year hallway” he says nudging her. “i have to grab goshiki first if you dont mind walking with me” she says walking out of the class “lead the way” he says.

after the long wait night approaches, looking at his phone reading 10:59 on his screen. the twins on his left and random people jumping on his right to the band playing. after the lights go off, atsumu grabs his shirt and heads to the front yelling about how the band is next. before the lights could turn on a few guitar strings are being strung with a deep yell coming from the speakers. the lights flash on as the the first few words are sung. towards the end y/n starts chanting with the crowd everyone following her lead as she jumps with them. she goes back to her mic as she swats her hair out of her face “hey everyone!!!! how are yall tonight” she greets the audience with a smile, tendou and semi waving to everyone. everyone cheering their answers as she nods “im hearing a lot of goods and okays so hell yeah lets jump into the next song mr semi do the honor” she says adding a dramatic bow at the end. “uh well thank you y/l/n for that lovely greeting, the next song is a new cover of ours and a song both y/n and tendou surprised me with i hope you enjoy as much as i do” he says with a small laugh, looking back to tendou with a nod he starts counting down. semi starting off, immediately sunas eyes light up as he remembers hearing the song. freezing when the chorus hits, the vibe being completely different from what he saw in the mini practice they had. seeing the lights flash behind them and all of them go all out, the sweat running down their necks already and veins in semi’s neck from holding notes. his eyes slowly moving over to y/n widening at the sight, this is her he thought she's in her element. her hands running up and down the neck of the bass as she bops her head to the drums, she's beautiful he thinks.

finishing up 5 more songs the band waves bye to the crowd after thanking them for the good show. “WOW THEY WERE SO GOOD!!” atsumu yells as he exits the front door. “dude why are you so loud?” his brother complains following him. “shut your mouth samu live in the moment” he barks back resting his hands on his hip. shaking his head at them suna looks around “yo why are we waiting shouldnt we head back?” he says, noticing how dark it is. “calm down i wanted to say bye to y/n and say good job jeez ya old man” the blonde says huffing looking away from both of them. “tsumu you owe me top bunk” the grey haired one says taking his phone out before he could do anything its almost knocked out of his hand as his twin grabs his collar. “HUHHH????” he says, “oh cmon you two dont fight” another voice says, the trio turning to see the band with two added people. “y/nnn!” atsumu says letting his brother go running to hug her “you guys were so good im so glad you guys did that semi song” he says as he lifts his head to both guys. as atsumu lets go, osamu gives her a side hug and a ‘good job’ and then suna gives her a hug with a smile, messing up her hair as they let go “nice job dude that was dope”. laughing as she pushes him “thanks for coming man i really appreciate you coming” he nods at her.

after a few nice words the groups goes theres separate ways, y/n wraps her arms around the red haired male as he talks to everyone. as they get to the parking lot semi takes goshiki and y/n home and ushijima and tendou go together, as y/n gets home she hears a bing from her phone smiling at the contact.

Alrighty, so this is my brief rambling about my two OCs, and I just wrote this piece since information has been/and mostly still is, in my brain and not on paper. (Also, you can probably see for which I have a clearer plan)

An attack mage, but has a couple of support spells as well (She has a binding spell “Gravity of the Sun” that can concentrate the gravity around the target, binding them to that spot without the ability to move)

Personality:                  

She has two modes: get things done, being efficient as hell, or then loitering about and enjoying the quiet. Of course, she does only “loiter about” when she has time, but she does enjoy laying in the bed, sunlight warming her skin without a care in the world.

She definitely radiates an aura of warmth when she smiled, being open and supportive, but if she’s observing the situation, her stare can make people anxious. She’s not giving off a malicious impression, but more of the “does not miss a thing and will silently judge you” kind of vibe. And, even though she wouldn’t admit judging people, she does. But she does recognize that people have a right to live their lives as they see fit, within the confines of the law of course. She doesn’t need to agree with the life decision of every single person and that is fine.

But if somebody asks for her advice, she’s glad to give it. As long as you have a genuine wish to improve, then she doesn’t see a reason to turn that person away.

She is strong willed, but will listen to reason. In the way “convince me otherwise. You can’t? Alright, then step aside and watch me.”

Fighting style:   

Mostly a support mage, but uses her spells as offense as well so she can be easily mistaken for an attack mage. But she will argue against, saying that if she was an attack mage, she couldn’t go head to head with her sister. (Eg, she can cast a large water barrier for defence, but would that wall of water fall on you… ouch.)

Personality:      

Inventive and curious, but also reserved. She’s kind and compassionate, and feels bad for Noelle for a while (before Noelle starts to find herself) and actually “adopted” her as her sister in the early stages of Nozel’s and her relationship.

 She is a quiet observer, who doesn’t speak unless she has something to say, but will not turn down an opportunity to help, if her help is needed.

Her personality is much like the moon, she lingers around, staying a little mysterious, but has a big impact from the distance. She does appreciate being given credit for her work, but most definitely won’t demand for it. What matter her the most is the outcome.

  She also has pretty effective healing magic “Healing waters” in which strands of water reach for the patient, radiating silvery light (like that of the moon), healing wounds.

 Selena is opinionated, but will not hold on her perceptions if they are proven wrong. Rather she has a researcher -type of mentality, where she’s open to new points of views, but can be quick to dismiss theories that seem absurd to her. In this case, you need to present her fool proof evidence to support your case, or she won’t budge.

 Both Solara and Selena were born to a noble house in a distant, island, land of Thea, who have teleportation arcs to the main land where also Clover Kingdom is. (Note: Solara would have been born first, but as there were complications with Selena, they needed to be birthed via surgery. Selena was taken out of their mother first, because there was severe concern for her health, thus the order of birth that took place, was Selena first and then Solara. However, Theans admitted the title of “first born” on Solara because of the natural birth order that would’ve been.)  Their mother and father were the only children of their respective houses, so their parents marriage was a union of two families, merging into one.

These families had celestial thematic associated with the heavenly bodies, so despite being twins, their vast differences make sense. And the youngest of the family, Aurora, has been called a perfect representation of the powers merging. She has Twilight magic, which is more or less a combination of Solara’s and Selena’s abilities, and her appearance is also a harmonious combination of the two blood lines.

Thea is a matriarchal kingdom, where women have a similar status as men in other countries. The ruler is a Queen, who does have a King, but the power is held by the Queen. And they have an abnormality among their people, that being that 60% of their citizens are non-magic users. This has caused the society to revolve as much around technology as around magic, because it’d be idiotic to not utilise the capabilities of all of their people. One of the (8) noble families is composed of entirely non-magic users, who are largely involved in creating non-magical inventions.

The Queen has encouraged members of the noble families to explore the outer world to see how it works and the practises they have, because you can learn that way and improve your own country. But the Queen is very strict about what kind of information is released about Thea, because she doesn’t want anyone to attack and disturb their peaceful living (I mean who would?). So, all nobles are given a set of instructions and guidelines on what kind of information they can disclose at their own discretion, which also depends on their security rating.

Theans have connections to different magical creatures due to their isolation and peaceful living, but also due to their curiosity of the unknown and the outside world. They also have ally countries and enjoy different kinds of partnerships with them. bex is actually a new muse and since she’s new to the group i still want her to have a bit of an air of mystery about her so i will not be elaborating too, too much on her backstory but

her and her sibling didn’t want for much at all growing up. their parents were pretty well off and so it wasn’t as if they were struggling. the worst thing about their childhood was that they often moved from city to city to support her father’s job. her dad was an author of supernatural and horror books and so he tended to go wherever the inspiration struck. so bex basically grew up in creepy houses and such! whenever her dad solved the mystery of one place nd finished his novel they would move. 

around the time that bex was six they lived in a very specific house. and when they moved from it bex found herself with this power. she is able to feel what people are feeling when she touches them or feel what someone else was feeling when she touches something that they’ve touched. think theo crain from hill house basically. it wasn’t something she was born with though, and since bex was already a pretty cheerful child with a pretty active imagination her mother tried to talk her out of the whole thing. 

bex’s mother was a child psychologist and it was with her help that bex learned that anything she thought she was feeling or seeing was just in her imagination. she was just really empathetic. and sometimes she found herself with imaginary friends. and maybe sometimes she had strange dreams, but this was all very normal. 

bex didn’t really have any choice but to believe her mom as a child. so for years she just ??? went with her powers unchecked, over stimulated and confused and scared. she didn’t deal with it well. and her parents didn’t understand. 

her dad found it fascinating though. wrote a whole book about her. it quickly became a best seller, and bex, his inspiration, pretty quickly became a bit of a celebrity in the horror novelist community. even bex, who absolutely loved attention, hated the whole thing. but she was too young for anyone to listen to her. 

suffice to say, the moment that bex turned eighteen she dipped. specifically she left to go to university. she studied up and got a bachelors degree in architecture. she is planning to get her masters next because she’s really passionate about her field, but well she stumbled into arcane first. 

it was completely by accident honestly. one day she was just living her life as normally as her life tended to get. and the next moment she saw one of their videos. and it was like everything clicked into place at once. she tried to ignore it, she really did, but it wasn’t long until she was seeing them everywhere. until she found herself drawing the arcane inc logo absently in the margins of her notes, or dreaming about the group at night, or mumbling lines of their show to herself when she was meant to be distractedly humming. it was weird, like really weird, and again bex would have brushed it off as nothing, but i imagine that at some point she actually saw them irl. maybe they reached out to her due to one of her father’s novels and bex likely having lived in that house before, or maybe she stumbled upon them completely coincidentally, but bex might not believe in ghosts but she sure believes in the universe. and who is she to say no to what the universe so obviously wants? details tbd sdkjsd

so here she is! having a good time in her gap year between uni and grad school. i’d say she’s been here since?? june of this year and she’s still going strong. she is still a bit skeptical about some things but she’s having a good time anyways.

billie’s life was always a little chaotic, tbh ! she was the youngest to kim and elijah haynes, the only sister to two older brothers. she spread the rumor that she ate her twin in the womb in middle school, but unfortunately that was just her lying to seem more interesting.

he’s recently got his driver’s license but no one likes to be in the car with him. he’s literally a mess and no ones sure how he got the license

he LOVES SPARKLES!!!! always asks for sparkles in his makeup. his aegyo skill is second only to suhyun. haeyoung always just. GOES for it. he’s less pleading and more cutesy high voice pitch. half the members cringe, and half of them love it. the one who seems to enjoy it the most though is jaeyong, surprisingly.

dumb and dumber with wooyoung. (minchan is the dumber) literally never knows what’s going on. tends to get lost, and if wooyoung is there, wooyoung’s lost too. jaeyong finds them and drags them back by their collars

though he’s mainly a vocal, he’s a wonderful dancer, too. he’s got (some) background in ballet, which makes his dancing perfect for this group

an amazing artist and incredibly creative. he designs their album designs and helps with photography. he’s also incredible at makeup and loves to do members’ makeup. sometimes he teams up with suhyun to give a full makeover to one of the members -- makeup, hair, outfit, etc. their victim is usually haeyoung or jack.

he’s got experience in the industry and leads the rest of the group with that knowledge. he debuted briefly at the previous company but disbanded early. he left the company with jack and now they’re in the new one.

main driver!! he drives all the members everywhere and its an ongoing joke that hes a chauffeur. however he’s got... a little bit of road rage lmao

GYM RAT! he’s jacked!!! he rarely shows his abs though, preferring to tease fans lmao however wooyoung keeps taking pics of him when he’s shirtless in the gym (both on purpose and on accident)

he’s also a bit cliche. if jack was long suffering mom(TM) then he’s the slightly detached but well meaning father(TM) ! not afraid to call out his members, but listens with an open mind. he’s a great mediator if there’s any issues within the group

though jaeyong is the leader, jack tends to be the one herding all the kids and making sure they eat. jaeyong is more about pep talks and being strong, giving great speeches, etc. 

even though he seems like he’d be rough around the edges, he’s incredibly loving. in multiple ways. he teases, he rough houses, LOVES hugging the members until they cant breathe. he’s... also very susceptible to aegyo. like he cant help but be swayed. he will never admit it but haeyoung and suhyun’s aeygo make his heart race

Thorston Twins Headcanon at 2AM

It’s a little past 1:30 in the morning, but I just thought of this fun idea and wanted to type it out before I can sleep.

What if the other riders picked up on subtle patterns Ruffnut and Tuffnut showed throughout the years? Maybe Astrid’s an insomniac, so she’ll spend many nights watching over the group and notices the twins change sleeping positions on a regular basis.

On normal nights, they’ll maintain light physical contact with one another, like interlocking their fingers to know the other is present. If they had an unresolved fight, they sleep with their backs to each other, and if one of them is remorseful, they’ll face their sibling. When they feel unsafe or stressed, they cuddle, and after waking up so close to one another, they’ll start fighting as a way of “regaining their honor”. 

Maybe there’s a time in which Fishlegs prepares a meal and plates everything, but Ruff and Tuff will immediately start exchanging sides, like she gives him her fish and he scrapes half of his fruit onto her plate in return. The two of them seem to have a system for any food combination imaginable, because they’ll do this during every meal and without speaking a single word. 

And I love the idea that the twins are neurodivergent, but with different disorders (personally, I’m into Tuff having ADHD while Ruff is autistic, but that’s just my preference) and what if Hiccup catches onto their thought process for once? It seems like everyone else often struggled to understand what the twins were thinking when they came up with their own plans, but there could be an instance where Hiccup actually understands the connections they made and why they thought of something, and is like “holy crap, that makes sense!” Afterwards, he starts taking more time to reflect on their ideas before reacting, to see if he can connect the dots the way they did. This one is mostly just myself projecting my own elation when someone at school or work would tell me “I see what you mean,” after such a long time of not being fully understood. 

I think while Snotlout has known them longer than any of the others, he’s also kinda dumb and wouldn’t bother psychoanalyzing them the way Fishlegs or Hiccup would. So he’ll see them constantly distract themselves with pranks and dangerous stunts when everybody else confronts serious problems, and pay it no mind until it’s finally drastic. Let’s say the group escaped a terrible hostage situation, and the twins wake up the next morning suddenly pretending nothing happened. The others could be really upset or frustrated that they’re, once again, taking things lightly, but Snotlout finally puts two and two together and concludes, “Oh, this is a coping mechanism. You both have probably been fully aware of every big issue we’ve dealt with, and joking around helped you handle the stress.” THAT’S when he starts to take notice in how they behave; pranks are an attempt to distract others, jokes are meant to distract themselves, and dares are intended to distract each other. 

This is all leading up to my opinion that Ruffnut and Tuffnut deserve more attention. What’s that, they’re the central focus of many fanfictions and are high in the popularity polls? No, more attention. All of the attention.

She stated, “ I live in a climate that’s warm year-round, so silky satin pieces are some of my favorite ways to transition into spring and give my closet a little refresh.” On Sarah Butler: Fabiana Filipi; Chloé Small Aby Lock Bag ($1547) “Shiny satin fabrics are my go-to for elevating a spring outfit,” says Sarah Butler . “Whether it is a satin top, slip dress, or trousers, the luxe fabric always has a sophisticated vibe, which I love. From stripes to polka dots , we’re fans, but you don’t have to just take our word for it. Francesca Carolina told us, “ I love black and white for spring because it’s such a crisp look. It also means you’re not limited to your accessories!” Whoever said black and white were boring clearly didn’t see our readers' outfits. On Hannah Hill: ASOS Check Wrap Dress ($54); Steve Madden Kagan Ankle Boot ($60); Jacquemus Le Chiquito Leather Mini Bag (sold out) If you’re still not convinced about black and white for spring, look to reader Hannah Hill  for inspiration on how to pull off this color palette for spring. She states, “Black-and-white prints are versatile and chic, but don't be afraid to go for bold silhouettes with asymmetrical hemlines and perfect puffy sleeves!” It doesn’t get more fun for spring than mixing in colors and various hemlines to take the classic palette into the new season. On Meeka Hossain: Misha Giulia Blazer Dress ($260); Schutz Analeah Boot ($295) Green for spring? I can hear your eyes rolling. Despite it being slightly cliché, from its previous iterations of pistachio on the runway to mint for this season, this color in all its various forms clearly hasn’t stopped growing on us. If you’re not sure how to embrace mint green for spring, Meeka Hossain ’s tip for adopting this color is to add edge by pairing opposing colors together. “Toughen up the dreamy mint hue by adding a contrasting color like black,” she suggests. On Chainky: Gimaguas Ona Top ($108); Dal Hae The One Choker Necklace ($156) “You can never go wrong with green for spring,” Chainky told us, and we have to agree. But don’t feel tethered to adopting mint as the only hue to try for the season. You can still ride the trend’s wave by playing with other shades of green this spring.
